Liverpool FC Transfer News & Rumour Roundup - Klopp eyeing 2 alternatives to Coutinho? - Duration: 6:12.
Liverpool FC Transfer News & Rumour Roundup - Klopp eyeing 2 alternatives to Coutinho?
We round up the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours on a frustrating weekend for the Reds, following their 3-3 draw at Watford on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp's side left Vicarage Road deflated, with one of his goalscorers, Sadio Mane, bemoaning their paltry efforts at stymieing the Hornets' physical approach.
Liverpool now look towards the first leg of their Champions League play-off clash with Hoffenheim hoping that off-field distractions are not hampering their early-season progress. Here's the latest from the rumour mill, including more on Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho Urged to "Give the Club Another Year".
The timing of Philippe Coutinho's transfer request, emailed to sporting director Michael Edwards less than 24 hours before kickoff in Hertfordshire, was brutal.
While the Brazilian reported to Melwood as usual this weekend, undergoing treatment for a back injury, he has already set his sights on Barcelona. But speaking on BT Sport on Saturday evening, Steven Gerrard argued that the midfielder owes Liverpool "another year.
"At the end of the day he's just signed a five-year deal, the club have been superb to him and made him the player he is," he said.
"You remember he was struggling at Inter Milan. We gave him the chance, we built this player up. The least he can do is give the club another year.". Insigne and Meyer as Coutinho Alternatives?.
Klopp was less emphatic as he addressed the situation after Liverpool's stalemate in Watford, stressing that the matter had been left in the hands of the club's owners.
And if reports in the Mirror are to be believed, the German is already planning for life without his No. 10.
They claim that Liverpool will launch a £60 million bid for Napoli playmaker Lorenzo Insigne if Coutinho is sold, despite the Serie A side's reluctance to part ways with the 26-year-old.
Furthermore, it is suggested that, if that move failed, Klopp's second choice would be Schalke midfielder Max Meyer.
The Germany international's contract expires next summer, and having previously spoken of his admiration for Klopp, would make a strong addition to the Reds' ranks. Reds Won't Sell Can to Juventus.
Coutinho is not the only key player with a question mark over his head on Merseyside, with speculation enduring over the future of Emre Can.
Like Meyer, Can has just one year left to run on his current deal, and despite lengthy talks with Liverpool is yet to agree an extension.
But the Mirror have reiterated that, despite Juventus' interest in a £23 million move for the midfielder, the Reds would be prepared to keep him and allow him to leave for free next summer instead.
Can is said to be seeking a contract worth £100,000 a week, but that is not the issue reportedly stalling negotiations, with "other contractual demands" cited.
The 23-year-old played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's draw at Watford, and produced a solid display in an otherwise abject midfield. Ward Seeking Assurances Over Reds Role.
Left out of the matchday squad for the trip to Vicarage Road, Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward currently stands as Klopp's third-choice option.
"In this moment it is Simon one, Loris two and Wardy three," the German told LiverpoolFC.com before the game. "[But] that is not a decision for the next 20 years.".
Having played a key role in sealing Huddersfield Town's promotion to the Premier League on loan last season, it will have been frustrating to watch the Terriers win 3-0 at Crystal Palace without him.
Huddersfield attempted to sign Ward on a permanent deal earlier in the summer, with Klopp vetoing the move, but according to the Mail, the 24-year-old may be forced into action.
They claim that Ward "is anxious to seek assurances" over his future, and suggest that "a deal may be reached [with Huddersfield] where the Anfield club have a recall clause. Liverpool Vying For 'New Andy Carroll'.
Finally, the Reds have been surprisingly linked with a move for Hartlepool United teenager Connor Simpson. The Mirror have claimed that "Liverpool and Newcastle are leading the chase" for a player they have dubbed "the new Andy Carroll.
This is said to be due to Simpson's "bustling style," and with the striker yet to sign a professional contract with Craig Harrison's side, he would be available for a relatively low fee.
However, it has seemingly been forgotten that Liverpool are currently banned from signing academy players from English sides until next summer.

Fairly Confusing... explaining the ECH and what's going to happen in Munich - Duration: 10:42.
Hi there, today I'm going to try to explain the situation regarding the European
bouldering championships. And I'm guessing many of you don't know much about the
issue so I'm going to start at the beginning. This year nobody wanted to
organise the European bouldering championships the IFSC didn't find any
organizer who was willing to organise the event so they decided to use the last
World Cup, Munich, that's going to take place next week as the European bouldering
Championships. The idea looks pretty simple at the end of the competition you
just look at the ranks of the Europeans and the European who ranks highest is
the European champion pretty simple. It is pretty simple as long as you have
just one qualification group. Because with just one qualification group
everyone is climbing on the same boulders therefore you can compare the
results and create the ranking. But in Munich you always have two qualification
groups because there are a lot of climbers there. It is usually the biggest
event of the year. And some smart people noticed that with two qualification
groups there's potential for some unfairness and some really weird
situations. When you have two groups there's no way to compare the scores
and the ranks of those two groups because those groups climb on different
boulders so the difficulty is not the same four tops in group a may be the same
as two tops in Group B. there's no way to know so they simply don't compare
the scores and you cannot compare the ranking because you are competing
against different climbers. So for instance this may happen. And this is a
scenario that would be really weird. I don't think it has ever happened but
it's not impossible. Let's imagine that in Munich no European makes semis no
European is in the top ten of either group. In that case there's no way to
know who's the European champion because you have first European in Group A who
maybe let's say in 12th place and a first European in group B who's maybe let's
say in 11th place. who's the champion? the guy in group B because his 11th? Well, that
didn't depend on him. he beat all the Europeans in his group but he's 11
simply because all the non Europeans ahead of him if you remove the non
Europeans they are both in first place in the in the European ranking so we
cannot compare the results we can not compare the rankings we don't know who's
the European champion. Also what happens if just Europeans from one of the
groups make it to semis let's imagine that the first European in group A is in
11th place, out of semis but the first seven Europeans in group B make it to
semies. Well this means that the guy in group a, the first European in group a, is
going to be 8th in the European Championship ranking no matter what. But
the guy in 7th place, the 7th European in Group B can potentially be European
champion despite the fact that he was beat in the qualification round
by another 6 Europeans. So the guy in Group A beat every single European he
was allowed to compete against but he cannot be European champion. Whereas the
guy in Group B who's 7th was beat by 6 Europeans in the qualification round but
still can climb in semis and if he makes it to the final can win the final
and be the European champion. That's really unfair for the guy in group a
because he didn't have any chance of competing the semis and potentially
make it to finals and potentially winning the competition and the European
Championship. he beat every single European but still he's going to be 8th
whereas the 7th guy in Group B was beat by 6 Europeans but still can make it to
the final and win the championship. Some people notice this potential for weird
situations and potential for unfairness and apparently, according to a
letter written by Jorg Verhoeven, who's one of the members of the athletes'
Commission, they raised this issue with the IFSC and well, apparently, the IFSC
did pretty much nothing. So Verhoeven wrote a post on Facebook and
through this post a lot of people and a lot of climbers became aware of
this situation and then the ifsc felt some pressure so they talked with the
national federations about 'do we wanna go ahead with this format or
maybe you want to cancel the European Championships?" and apparently the
national federations would rather have this, I'm gonna call it, 'unfair' European
Championship rather than not having a European Championship also the IFSC
is in that same boat apparently. Why is it that they would rather have an unfair
competition rather than no competition? my guess and this is just my guess is
that it will look really bad in the eyes of the Olympic Committee if
climbing wouldn't have European Championship. Suddenly this discourse of
climbing being ready for primetime and climbing growing fast and climbing
having a lot of fans all over the world and suddenly we can not organize a
European Championship? that wouldn't look too good. Also the national federations
could potentially lose some funding because, I'm guessing, that again climbing
wouldn't look as serious as a sport if we suddenly cannot organize a european
championship. So given that we were going to have a european championship no
matter what the athletes Commission proposed a change in the format. We're
going to have a normal World Cup because it would be unfair to change the World
Cup formats just for this event I mean all the non-european shouldn't be
affected by this incapacity of the European IFSC or whatever it is whoever's
responsible for finding an organizer for this event. The non-European
shouldn't be affected by this situation so we're going to have a
normal world cup but the top ten Europeans of each qualification group
are going to be allowed to compete on the semi-final problems even if they
don't make semi finals so the Europeans who make semi finals are gonna compete
in the semi finals as if this was a normal world cup, nothing special. but after
the semi finals the top ten Europeans of Group A who didn't
make semis and the top ten Europeans of Group B who didn't make semis are going
to climb on those semi final problems and the final European ranking is going
to be decided by those results from the semifinal round. So after the semifinal
round we're going to know who's the European champion and we're going to
have a podium and medals and the whole thing. before the final. right after the
semi-final we will crown our European champions and then the world cup will
go on as usual. There's potential for some really weird things happening for
instance we may have a European champion let's say Janja Garnbret and then a
world cup champion let's say Shauna Coxsey and Shauna Coxsey can win the World Cup and
not the European champion. Or we may have a climber that flashes every single
problem in the semi-final but can not climb in finals because he initially
didn't didn't make semis so there's potential for some weird situations but
I think this format is much better than the original. There's still some
potential for unfairness for instance the groups, the qualification groups, are
created based on the world ranking and someone made the calculation, someone in
8a.nu, I will put a link in the description, calculated that the top
20 Europeans... 12 of them are gonna be in one group and eight of them in the other
group so one of the two groups is going to be harder than the other. It's going
to be easier to make semis or top ten at least in one of the groups so it's
not perfect this system. Ideally we should have a separate event but since
that wasn't happening I think this is a an acceptable compromise let's call it
so I hope you understand the situation now and I hope you understand what's
going to happen in Munich again the top 10 Europeans of each group are going to
compete in the semi final programs even if they don't make semi finals. the ones
who make semi finals will compete in the semi finals normally and the rest will
compete on the same problem after the round. and we're gonna crown
the European champions right after the semi-final. There's gonna be a podium and medals
and all the stuff. if you have any questions or doubts please leave a
comment I will try to reply to every single one of them and also let me know
your opinion do you think this is a good solution? can you think of a better
system a better format to solve this issue? or would you rather cancel
the European Championships? I don't know because I don't have enough information
or what would be the consequences for for the sport and for the federations of
canceling the European Championships but I think it's really is really sad that
we know we cannot find an organizer for for the European Championships. that's a
topic for another day. how come that nobody wants to organise this events. how
come that it iis so hard to find someone willing to in to organise this. in my
mind it should be a, you know, a line of people willing to to organize this but
that's not the case and that's a complex topic for another day and it is an issue
that the IFSC should address because it's it's a serious issue when you cannot
find an organizer for such an important event. I think I covered it all. Again if
you have some questions leave it in the comments and if you're new here and for
some reason you find these obscure topics interesting make sure you
subscribe and I will see you in the next one. thank you so much for watching and
take care

7 Steps To Set Up Your Facebook Profile To Attract Business - Duration: 3:24.
- Oh Daisy, being such a good girl.
Seven steps to setting up your Facebook profile
so that you are attractive to potential prospects.
Hey there, I'm Tracey from TraceyRose.com
and this is Daisy, the marketing cat.
She is a little bit of a grouch,
but she's gonna help us here today
because I want to make sure
that you are not repelling people.
In fact, there are quite a few things
that you can do to a profile,
and I'm gonna share with you seven of them
that are super easy to change right now.
Okay?
So tip number one is to make sure
that you have a smiling and approachable profile picture.
And even better, my friend, Keysha Bass,
suggested that you even have a profile video.
How about doing one of those?
Tip number two is all about your timeline
or your cover photo.
You know the photo that goes along
the top that's quite long?
Make that lifestyle.
And can I please, please say,
do not put company branding on these.
You wanna create curiosity on your profile.
You know, when you brand your company,
basically you're doing your company a big favour
by marketing them, but if people want to contact me
or find out more about the company that I'm involved with,
I want them to come to me for the information, not Google.
Now I want you to go to your profile and check
have you filled out the Intro section?
So, often I will have either keywords or key phrases
so that people knowing automatically what I'm about
and I've added in some emojis as well.
So make sure you actually have that filled out.
Make sure that your About section is also filled out
because if people are wondering about you,
getting to know you, if you're connecting with them
and networking with new people,
they're usually gonna go and face-stalk you first,
so making sure that your Intro
and also your About section are filled out
is super, super important.
Number five, your featured photos.
Make sure that the type of featured photos
that you have are the types of message
that you want to be putting
across to your potential prospect.
So select your featured photos very, very carefully.
Number six is make sure your profile
is actually set to public.
You'd be really surprised that some people
who I know are marketing online,
and yet their profiles are private.
So if I'm not a friend of yours,
but you've potentially sent me a friend request,
I'm gonna go look at your profile.
Now if I see that there's maybe only
something from two years ago
when you set your profile to private,
I'm gonna wonder if you are
really serious about your business
or actually if you're even active.
And the last thing is some people
totally forget to enable their Follow button.
So I hope this video has helped you.
If you know someone who is trying
to attract business on Facebook,
please share with them this video.
Remember, people are always gonna come and face-stalk you
and if you have these things in place,
it's going to increase those conversions.
(gentle guitar music)
Let's be honest, you face-stalk people, I face-stalk people.
