(bouncy happy music)

One of my favorite desserts is banana pudding.

My Aunt Brenda used to make it for me every year

for my birthday as a present, and now it's the dessert

I bring to our Thanksgiving family lunch every single year.

When you make the crust for this recipe, it's important

to press the crumb mixture up around the springform pan.

And then you can stand vanilla wafers up

into your pressed-down crumb mixture.

The crumbs will actually help your vanilla wafers

stand up along the crust, and so you'll have

a pretty crust around the edges.

You have to use ripe bananas.

Overripe bananas that have turned almost completely brown

are actually perfect for this recipe.

The best thing about this dessert

is that you can make it in advance

because it does have a long chill time.

So you're not really worried about making dessert

when you have plenty of other things

to be worried about the day of your event.

When you bake cheesecake, it's important

to bake it 'til the center is almost set.

If you bake your cheesecake until it's set,

it will end up being overdone once you take it out.

You don't wanna have brown bananas or wilty whipped cream,

so it's important to decorate it right before you serve it.

When we put our banana pudding out at Thanksgiving,

we always announce to get it while the gettin's good.

And I hope y'all enjoy this recipe as much as I do,

because it's sure to disappear quickly.

Why Determining Easter's Date is So Confusing - Duration: 7:08.

The holiday of Easter is celebrated by over two

billion Christians globally.

Marking the day that Jesus rose from the dead, it's always commemorated on a Sunday in

the spring.

Despite this, the exact date has consistently changed throughout the many centuries the

holiday has been recognized.

Additionally, various sects of Christianity (most prominently the Greek Orthodox Church)

often celebrate Easter on a totally different date than their peers.

Why is that?

Why is there no set date for Easter and how do they ultimately decide the date of Easter

each year?

The rather complex answer has a lot to do with the differences in the solar and lunar

calendars.

Easter's roots could date back to before Jesus's birth, perhaps even having pagan

origins.

Some scholars believe that the English word "Easter" comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess

Eostre, who represented spring, plantings, new beginnings and fertility.

Much like how Christmas matches up with the winter solstice, there's thought that Easter

was intentionally lined up with the spring equinox to encourage those more comfortable

with pagan traditions to join Christianity.

While many scholars and Christian historians deny this connection, there's compelling

evidence that Christianity adopted other religion's traditions in order to make their religion

more accepted.

Influenced by paganism, Greco-Roman religions, Judaism, Islam and even Buddhism, Christianity

(like all other religions) did not exist in a vacuum and many of the elements that are

practiced today were a product of the ancient world's intermingling of cultures.

For example, in some parts of the world lamb is traditionally eaten on Easter, with the

roots of this tradition in Jewish Passover feasts.

In fact, the Greek/Latin variant of the word "Easter" is "pascha," which is loosely

translated to "Passover" in English.

The Jewish religion adheres to the lunar calendar, meaning it's based on the moon phases.

As explained by Judaism 101, the lunar calendar is based on three astronomical phenomena:

the rotation of Earth on its axis, the moon's revolution around the Earth and the Earth's

revolution around the sun to determine the day, month and year (respectively).

But a calendar based on the moon is not conducive to an agricultural society, which needs an

accurate way of knowing when to plant and harvest.

So, about 4,800 years ago, civilizations started shifting over to a solar calendar with the

Egyptians leading the way.

Now, the lunar and the solar calendars don't quite mesh.

On average, the moon revolves around Earth in 29.5 days and the Earth around the sun

every 12.4 lunar months.

This means that a lunar year is about 11 days shorter than a solar year, which wreaks havoc

on the calendar even over just a decade.

For example, planting season in ancient Egypt was between November and March, but with the

calendar shifting every year by 11 days, it caused the seasons to not appropriately line

up and created very serious problems for farmers.

Even when Jewish leaders added a 13th month (Nissan) to try to balance out the drift,

it didn't work (even if every three years, the month shifts back by 30 days) and added

an extra 19 days onto the solar calendar.

In 45 BCE, Roman Emperor Julius Caesar tried to restart the calendar.

With the help of astronomer Sosigenes, the "Julian calendar" was instituted on January

1st, 45 BCE.

With the belief that the solar year was 365 days and 6 hours long, an extra day was added

to February every four years - what we now know as the leap year.

This calendar soon spread across Europe and was accepted by Christianity.

About four hundred years later, the Roman Emperor Constantine convened the First Council

of Nicaea to set a few ground rules around this calendar.

They determined that the spring (vernal) equinox will occur every year on March 21st.

They also determined that Easter will fall on the first Sunday following the ecclesiastical

full moon (which falls on the 14th day of the lunar calendar) and after the spring equinox.

In other words, Easter must take place between March 22nd and April 25th.

To help a rather complex and difficult task of determining Easter's exact date, the Council

constructed tables to determine Easter's date projected hundreds of years into the

future.

(One compilation of these Easter tables ultimately inspired the individual doing the calculations

to create the BC/AD system of dating.)

For the next 1200 years, this worked, but there was a glitch.

The glitch was that the solar year wasn't 365 days and 6 hours, but 365 days, 5 hours,

48 minutes and 46 seconds.

While minor, this meant that the calendar will be about a day short of a solar year

every 130 years.

In 1586, this was seemingly rectified by the adaptation of the Gregorian calendar instituted

by Pope Gregory XIII (once again, naming the calendar after himself).

With help from the astronomer Christopher Clavius, the new calendar dropped the leap

year on the century years that were not divisible by 400.

This meant three leap years were to be eradicated every three centuries, leaving 1600 and 2000

as leap years, but 1700, 1800 and 1900 as not.

This also had an effect on Easter, forcing the chart that the Council created to be revised

slightly.

Despite the enormous efforts put into trying to maintain a calendar and a formula for Easter,

not everyone agreed.

Several sects of Christianity stuck with the original Julian calendar despite it being

abandoned in the 16th century by majority of the world.

In fact, European Protestants in Germany and England didn't adopt the Gregorian calendar

until the 18th century thinking it was a plot to silence them and control Christianity.

Additionally, in 1923, there was a movement to set the date of Easter to align with the

astronomical full moon in Jerusalem, the location of Jesus when he arose from the dead.

To further this point, the Greek Orthodox Church continue to follow one of the decrees

made by Constantine's First Council that Easter must fall after Jewish Passover and

be in "biblical sequence."

This is due to the fact that Jesus's last supper was, in fact, a Passover seder and

he rose from the dead several days later.

Many people believe that figuring out Easter's date shouldn't be this confusing, including

the Pope.

In 2014, he and the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew (the spiritual leader of some 300 million

Orthodox Christians) were in talks to try to make everyone's Easter all one date.

This has yet to happen, but if it does, we may never again have to consult a four hundred

year chart to determine when a holiday that two billion people around the world celebrates

will actually take place.

How To Wash Your Hair Correctly and Stop Hair Fall - Hair Care Tips - Duration: 3:07.

How To Wash Your Hair Correctly and Stop Hair Fall Prewash preparation Give your hair a good hairstyle before going into the shower. This helps to untangle any knot and prevents hair breakage. It also helps to start waste disposal of product style. Shampoo selection Whether your hair is dry, oily or dandruff-infested, make sure the shampoo you are using suits your hair type. You can also use a clarifying shampoo once a month to get rid of the scrap product from your scalp. Washed Wet hair well with warm water. DO NOT use hot water. The hot water will dry the scalp, causing the oil glands to compensate for the overproduction of oil, ultimately leaving the scalp greasy. Hot water also runs the risk of scalp burns. Put a dollop-sized portion of shampoo into the palm of your hand (the size of a quarter). This amount is standard for short to medium hair. You can increase the amount according to the length of your hair. Add some water to the shampoo to foam, and apply evenly and gently through your locks. Start from the bottom and work your way up to the roots. Then use your fingers to massage the shampoo into your scalp with gentle circular movements. Start at the nape of the neck and work your way up the back of the head until you reach the crown. Take 30 to 60 seconds to perform this action. After reaching the crown, you can apply a little more shampoo (if necessary) before massaging the top of the head all the way to the nape again. You can massage up and down the entire head for 1 to 2 minutes. Make sure you are not pulling your hair up as you massaging your way to the crown and bunching the hair on top of the head, as this can entangle and clog your fingers from reaching your scalp properly. Your scalp is the area that needs more attention. Then massage the hairline along the top of the ears and move it down in a circular motion behind the ears. This is an often neglected area when you quickly wash your hair and is a breeding ground for fungicidal infections. Rinse Begin the rinsing process by running hot water through your hair, separating it as it goes to allow water to flow through each section thoroughly. Conditioning Put a dollop sized portion of conditioner in your hand and rub your palms to get dirty. Bring your hair to the front and consciously begin to cover the ends/ends of your hair until they are covered. You can then begin to cover your strands up to the average length of your hair. Do not massage the conditioner into the scalp and roots, as it could create bulky debris, activate the oil glands, block hair follicles and obstruct hair growth. Leave the conditioner on for 2 to 3 minutes (according to the instructions on the bottle). Rinse with cold water. DO NOT rub your hair. Instead, use twisting motions to rinse the product. The cold water will seal the moisture inside and keep your hair supple and soft.

E's are useless by Ireland - Duration: 3:41.

Okay now, you maybe asking why I picked one that sounded right out of the book, honestly,

it sounded different at first, but after some thought i am going to show you, the audience

, that this makes complete sense.

I also find this is something easy to fix because it's a letter, simply a scribble

that we called a letter and gave a sound and easily enough could be forgotten.

So i came up with many examples as to why the E could be completely left out of the

alphabet.

See for example if we take the word see you say you can obviously hear the letter E well

we do have a letter that also makes that exact same noise.

so if we simply write it as a C your problem is solved.

Take the word exercise for example now you say there's two E's well the first you can

take out and still have the same thing and the second one is a silent E which is completely

unnecessary.

during Now you may have noticed during this speech/essay

I have used multitudes of words that involve the letter E. and I ask you how many of these

words could you take the E out of it and still see the same due to it being silent because

I asked many people about certain words and they agreed the letter is unneeded.

And many times it is not even pronounced as an E it's pronounced as an I or an A. Or many

of them depending on your accent could be replaced with a different letter, now it may

vary depending on your accent.

Even the word accent could replace the letter E with an A if you have a southern accent,

as I do.

Which I understand if this is not your first language then you will probably

say the letters correctly but unless that's the case that's not entirely true.

There are so many words that you would simply remove the letter E due to the fact that a

silent which begs the question why would you put a letter there if it's going to be silent.

All I see is another letter you have to write whatever you're writing or texting.

All I see is another letter you have to write whatever you're writing an essay by hand.

I simply see that as a way of over complicating words.

They say English is the hardest language to learn and I agree because we add some letters

where they do not need to be as well as using letters that do not sound correct or need

to be there in order to make the word make sense.

This way of thinking is like any extra scraps of trash are needed because they might be

needed but no one will ever really need them because they're useless and unneeded.

So the only paths are to either take it out of the alphabet or make it harder for everyone

by keeping something that unnecessary.

We simply add letters and because of this we over complicate.

Most of the words in this speech as you can tell you could simply remove the letter E

and it would sound the exact same there are very few that actually required to be there

and sound as a E would be pronounced.OK so now that you've seen my valid point that the

letter is completely useless and should be taken out of the alphabet.

I hope you understand why I made this argument because I wanted to bring everyone else to

see the same light that I did when I was younger and then again when I read this book.

Although to me this is an a new argument I remember thinking about this when i was young

because why would you have something that doesn't need to be there that's only over

complicating what shouldn't be complicated, I realize that some people may be skeptical,

and I get it why change but then I beg the question does change her or help?

Because in this scenario I can only see the benefits of excluding the unnecessary letter

from our alphabet and therefore help simply more than those who speak this language as

well as those who are learning and studying it.

thank you
