We are using 20 sheets of scrapbook paper (30x15 cm), folded in half
In this case I used one-sided scrapbook paper, because I will glue the pages together later
Use white glue to adhere the pages together. Extend with an old credit card or a piece of cardboard
You can use any liquid glue that is suitable for paper
Glue the next page at the back
Continue to glue the other pages the same way
Repeat until you have all the pages adhered together
Use 2 cardboard squares (16 x 16 cm) for the cover, as well as a 3 x 16 cm rectangle for the spine
I recommend you to make the spine thicker if you are going to put many pictures and embelishments
Cover the cardboard with some white textured cardstock
In my case the cardstock had some ink splatters, but I am going to cover them with the embelishments
Join 2 pieces of cardstock using washi tape
and place the cardboard covers on top
Cut the excess paper, leaving 2 cm margin all around
Apply some more white glue
Glue the cardboard on the textured cardstock, leaving the same margin all around
Glue the spine in the middle
Separate the spine aprox. 6 - 7 mm from both covers
You can also calculate the distance using 2 pieces of the same cardboard glued together
Use a ruler to place the cardboard straight
Repeat with the second cover
Cut off the corners
Apply some white glue on the margins
Adhere both long sides first
and now the short sides
Fold carefully and you'll get the basic structure of our minialbum
Once dry, glue a small piece of scrapbook paper on the spine to cover the seam between the two pieces of cardstock
Center this piece of paper and leave some margin at the top and bottom
Fold the excess to the inside of the album
Glue some more patterned paper inside of the cover
Decorate the cover with a polaroid frame
Adhere some patterned paper to the polaroid frame
Adhere the frame on the back side of the paper and cut off the excess with a craft knife
Adhere a paper square on the first page
Adhere the last page to the cover
Don't glue the first page to the cover, so that the album can be opened easily
Our album is ready to put some pictures and embelishments
Now you can make your own embelishments
You'll need some pieces of patterned papers
A 1" diameter circle punch
and these acrylic drops
You can buy them by clicking on the link in description box
Cut some patterned paper circles using the circle punch
You can also print some images or write something inside the circle
Adhere the epoxy circles on the punched circles
This way you'll get some embelishments with a lot of volume
Let's place a pocket Inside one of the covers
Cut a rectangle of patterned paper the same size as the cover, leaving 1 cm margin on 3 sides
I punched a scallop border on the pocket
Fold the margin towards the inside of the pocket
Check the measurements and adhere a piece of ribbon before placing the pocket
I am using extra strong double-sided tape
Put a piece of tape under the ribbon and another one at the top
Glue a piece of patterned paper on the ribbon
and adhere the pocket using some white glue
Put some glue on 3 sides
and adhere in place
This way you can include some memorabilia in your minialbum
Glue the other piece of ribbon on the back cover
I glued a strip of paper on this side instead of another pocket
You can do it this way or leave a simple rectangle without any border
I put some birthday party memorabilia in the pocket
The ribbon allows the album to stay closed
Now you can see the finished album
