Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Differential Skid Plate - Dana 44 (1987-2017 YJ, TJ, JK) Review & Install - Duration: 3:18.
This Rugged Ridge Differential Skid Plate for the Dana 44 axle is for those of you that
have a 1987 and up Wrangler, and are looking to protect your axle.
Now that center pumpkin section, if you do go off road, you hit the trails where there
are rocks or stumps, you can end up hanging up the pumpkin because it does hang down so
low.
And if you do, there's a chance that you can peel back the differential cover letting the
oil out, which can ruin your day.
So adding a skid plate like this will help to protect the differential, and also help
you to slide over obstacles a little bit easier and is going to ensure that you don't have
that issue where you peel back the cover, again ruining the day.
This is going to be for the Dana 44 axle, but Rugged Ridge does also offer these for
the Dana 30.
Now, the alternative to putting a skid plate like this on your differential is to change
out the differential cover completely, and there are some other benefits changing out
the cover completely.
You can get different dipsticks, different fill points, making it a little bit easier
to service the differential and of course getting that additional strength, maybe even
some additional cooling properties from a different differential cover.
However, this is going to be a little bit less expensive and also a little bit easier
to install.
So it just comes down to what you want on your Jeep.
This skid plate is gonna be made of 3/16 inch steel and covered in a black powder coated
finish.
It is going to install directly over top of that factory differential cover that you already
have on your Dana 44 axle.
Again, making for a very easy installation, you don't have to unseal the differential
cover, which of course requires changing out the fluids, getting involved with RTV.
You don't have to do anything with this differential cover because it just goes right on over the
top.
Again this is designed specifically for that Dana 44 axle.
So whether you have a Dana 44 in the front of your Jeep, whether you have a Rubicon or
it's in the rear of your Jeep this is going to fit just right.
Getting this installed is a very simple one out of three wrench installation that will
definitely take less than a half hour to complete.
All you'll need to do is get underneath the Jeep and remove the five lower differential
cover screws, you won't have to unseal the differential cover as I mentioned before,
just remove those bolts.
Go ahead and hold the differential skid plate up over the top of the cover and instead of
replacing with those factory bolts go ahead and use the new longer bolts that come in
the kit, get everything torqued down, and you're finished.
This skid plate will run you right around $60 and I do think that's a pretty fair price
for what you're getting.
This is going to offer some good protection but it's also a no-frills part, very simple,
it just works.
If you're looking for a stronger differential cover, of course those are available and they
can have some more bells and whistles but also be a little bit more expensive.
So as I said before it comes down to what your budget is and what you're looking for
on your Jeep.
But if you're looking for a differential skid plate I think this is a good buy at 60 bucks.
So if you're looking for an inexpensive differential skid plate, I would definitely recommend taking
a look at this one from the Rugged Ridge that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Then my girlfriend Victoria said, "Fedya,
you have 50 subscribers already. Why

She wanted to appear on my channel, I

talk about some interesting
topic, in general the channel
is entertainment and I forgot about Russian, about
English. Half a year went by
I thought, "why I don't make Russian

since I have it, how did this whole thing changed me?
Firstly, I got better at speaking, before I
spoke very unclear, very
fast. no one could understand me. Now I
I speak better, because I record
myself, and I hear myself on camera
and it was very unpleasant.
So I worked on myself, and corrected
my pronunciation a little bit. Second,
is nowI understand that I was
meant to teach you. I was meant
to ... to make videos, to teach
anything: English, Russian, it does not matter. To me
I just enjoy teaching. I got it
through YouTube, after six months.. after year
on YouTube, my channel I started growing very
fast. You came, said "Fedor,
thanks, you're a great teacher, you are a good
teacher." I certainly could not
not to rejoice it. I saw, that my efforts were needed
by someone and they help someone. That is, I was
always watching YouTube, and I always, not that
I adored youtubers, but I ... I
respected them.They were
for me like a... like some figure, that is, I
gravitated toward them. Now I realize that I
am a such figure for nearly ten thousand people.
And it's a very, very great
responsibility.So, I really cannot
imagine still what it's like to be in front
of eyes of multi-thousand
audience. I do not yet I understand, because

400 years in the future and we want to have it grounded
in certain reality, so we want to be consistent with what is
currently understood about physics, astronomy,
and how it might be possible, someday,
to build a ship like the Orville and explore the galaxy.

Well, the ship itself is almost like
its own self-contained world.
This is a star ship that can travel for months at a time
and sustain a crew of 300 people.
So we have to have a space for those people that is not just
necessary for survival, but is comfortable, that has
the feeling of a place where you would want to live,
so there's a psychological dimension.
How do you keep a crew not only, physically safe and alive,
but how do you keep them psychologically fit?
There is a sense of spaciousness;
crew quarters are something that feel like a nicely appointed
apartment; we have a mess hall; we have areas where
the crew can gather socially.
This is gonna be fun.
This is going to be a new, fun thing.
Technologically, you have to have
some kind of self-sustaining ecosystem
built into a ship like this.
Couldn't possibly carry all of the oxygen, and water,
and so forth necessary to sustain
a crew of 300 people for months at a time
in storage containers.
The walls of the ship, actually, are made of a synthetic fiber
that is an artificial, sort of, plant system that basically
takes in carbon dioxide exhaled by the crew
and breathes out oxygen. Water is recycled,
waste products are recycled.
Some of this stuff is happening today on the International
Space Station.
This kind of technology has been pioneered by NASA for five
decades now, and we have just taken that to the next level,
imagined how much more we'll be able to do hundreds of years
in the future when it comes to sustaining
people on a spaceship for long periods of time.
