How to Master English Listening | Podcasts in English for Fluency - Duration: 3:14.

If you want to improve your listening, vocabulary, and pronunciation, then

podcasts are perfect!

What is a podcast? a podcast is a type of audio program. very

similar to the videos that you watch on YouTube, but podcasts are audio only!

there's no video. that means you can listen to them anywhere, no matter what

you're doing. I guarantee that everybody, even you, has at least a couple minutes

to listen to a podcast in English every day! but hold on!

remember this– if you are listening to a podcast in English, I can almost

guarantee that you will not understand 100% I recommend starting with podcasts

where you understand at least 20 or 30 percent of what's said, because besides

vocabulary, what you're mostly learning is how native speakers communicate. so

you can acquire those skills to speak more confidently and fluently in English.

a lot of podcasts have transcripts, so you can read word for word what you're

listening to, and allow you to review. especially learn a lot of new vocabulary

and see how native speakers use the grammar. if you're ready to start

listening to the best English learning podcasts, then click here!

I already made a list for you.

let's find the perfect podcast for you! after this

video do an internet search. search for your top 3 personal interests, as well as

your top 3 work-related interests. after each of these, type podcast. for example,

me personally, I'm interested in history. so I will search for history podcast. for

work, I'm interested in marketing. so I will search for marketing podcast. I

would love to know first of all, what you're interested in and if you find any

podcasts related to those interests! after this video

turn off YouTube and start searching!

if you're new to podcasts you might be

wondering how do I listen to them? you can listen to podcasts on your phone, on

your tablet, or on your computer. under the video, in the description, I put a lot

of different ways to listen to podcasts on all three of these different devices.

let's recap. you can find a podcast for any English skill and any topic in the

world. this is excellent for building

vocabulary and understanding people in the situations you will find yourself in

in the future! you can listen anywhere. any time of day.

in any type of situation. you don't have to watch anything, it's just listening.

you won't understand everything, and that is perfectly normal!

however, don't listen to a podcast where you understand nothing. start with a

podcast where you understand at least about twenty or thirty percent of what's

being said. you will learn so much vocabulary, your listening will improve

so much, and most importantly you will learn the subtle, slight cues and skills

to communicate more like a native speaker. that's it! turn off YouTube and

get to work! find the podcasts that are perfect for

you, and let me know what you find or if you have any trouble finding them.

Bill Clinton Is Asked About Franken Scandal, Looks at Reporter and Smiles - Duration: 2:03.

Nearly 20 years since his own sexual scandal, former President Bill Clinton refuses to speak

about ongoing sexual harassment and assault allegations against lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

According to The Washington Free Beacon, Clinton smirked when asked to give his opinion on

Sen. Al Franken's sexual misconduct scandal.

NBC news correspondent Tammy Leitner was in Puerto Rico to cover Clinton's visit to

the country, who was there to survey damage left by the recent hurricanes.

When Leitner asked Clinton what he thought about Sen. Franken's scandal, he paused,

smirked at her, and went on with his day.

Leitner then went on national television to describe his reaction.

During a talkback with MSNBC host Kasie Hunt, Hunt asked Leitner if she had spoken with

Clinton about the allegations.

"Tammy, I want to ask you one more thing quickly on a slightly different topic since

had you a chance to talk to Bill Clinton," Hunt said.

"He has been back in the news with the senator from New York, Kirsten Gillibrand, suggesting

he would have had to resign in the current climate and, of course, Democrats facing questions

about Senator Al Franken's conduct."

"Any chance you talked to him about that?"

Hunt asked.

Leitner paused, let out a nervous laugh and then responded.

"I did, Kasie.

I asked him about the senator's recent comments, and he looked at me, kind of half-smirked,

and kept going," Leitner said.

"He wanted nothing to do with that, so he didn't give us an answer," she continued.

Hunt quickly responded: "Can't imagine why."

Is anyone really shocked by Clinton's refusal to answer any questions about sexual misconduct

allegations?

This is the same man who had relations with a White House intern when she was just 21-years-old.

He thought it was fine then, and he probably still thinks he did nothing wrong.

He is the same then as he is now: creepy, corrupt, and simply put – slimy.

FBI Warns Of Coming Left-Wing Violence In 2018 - Duration: 3:29.

The FBI has released a series of documents warning the public that far-left groups such

as Antifa are planning to wreak violent havoc across America in the year ahead.

According to American author Edward Klein, the Obama administration plotted civil unrest

shortly after Trump won the election.

USA Watchdog Blog reports: Klein explains,

"Susan Rice was invited to come to a dinner party and give the President (Obama) a plan,

and her plan was to unmask the names of Donald Trump associates who had been inadvertently

picked up by electronic intercepts by the National Security Agency (NSA).

The names of these Americans were supposed to remain confidential.

She (Susan Rice) suggested they would be unmasked, meaning they would become public, and they

would be distributed widely throughout the intelligence community.

Inevitably, therefore, she admitted those names would be leaked to the mainstream media

(MSM), and the story would begin that there was collusion between Donald Trump and the

Russians.

This, of course, was always a fairytale because we have had an investigation going on for

more than a year and a half, and no one has come up with a scintilla of evidence to prove

that…

She (Susan Rice) wasn't doing anything illegal, but clearly she was doing something unethical,

to put it mildly, because President Obama and his national security advisor were using

the intelligence community as a weapon against their political enemy Donald Trump."

So, will anyone be investigated?

Klein says,

"I honestly don't believe that there is going to be an investigation of Barack Obama,

the former President.

I do think, however . . . that there is a lot of pressure on Jeff Sessions to investigate

Hillary Clinton and her connections with the Russians in commissioning that famous, or

infamous, "Russian Dossier" that we all know about that accused Donald Trump of all

kinds of sexual misconduct and collusion with the Russians, almost all of which has been

disproved as disinformation from the Russians.

We do know that she (Hillary Clinton) actually authorized the purchase of this dossier and

used campaign funds to pay her law firm to actually launder that money and use it to

buy this dossier.

That's against the law because you are supposed to acknowledge and say what your campaign

funds are used for, and they are supposed to be used only for the campaign."

Another big bomb Klein drops in his new book "All Out War" is his publishing of FBI

documents warning of violence coming from Antifa and other left-wing groups, which Democrats

support.

Klein says,

"In the FBI report that I have reproduced in full in my book, it says that these violent

left wing groups traveled to Europe, met with representatives of al-Qaida and the Islamic

State, or ISIS.

They also went to Syria and got bomb making instructions and toxic chemical instructions.

The FBI has followed these people and continue to follow these people now that they are back

in America, and (the FBI) believes that when the 2018 mid-term elections come, things are

going to get hotter and hotter in this country politically and that these groups are going

to become more and more violent.

The FBI has said in this document, I have in this new book, that these left-wing groups,

like Antifa, represent the greatest threat to law enforcement since the 1970's and

the Weather Underground."

5 talking points from LFC 1-1 Chelsea - Mo Salah can't stop scoring - Duration: 10:06.

5 talking points from Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea - Mohamed Salah can't stop scoring and an improved defensive display

Liverpool served up a strong showing but couldn't hold onto a lead once more as they drew 1-1 against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Reds came into the match making a number of surprising changes, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Sturridge and James Milner all coming into the side.

Despite a bright start as the Reds dominated possession, chances were hard to come by thanks to Chelsea's packed defensive and midfield lines.

Eden Hazard and Mohamed Salah traded efforts and were comfortably the most threatening two players on show in the first half, but the scores remained locked at 0-0 at the break.

In the second half it was unsurprisingly the Egyptian who managed to break the deadlock, poking home after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain won the ball back, but Chelsea's onslaught brought a fortuitous late equaliser from Willian.

Here are five talking points from the 1-1 at Anfield.

Contrasting midfields.

Both teams featured a three-man central midfield from the start at Anfield, but both operated in very different ways.

While Jurgen Klopp again asked his middle trio to play, pass around the pitch and try to combine to open up chances, Chelsea's worked as a solid unit to deny space and exploit counter opportunities.

There's nothing wrong with either approach when they work—but Liverpool's overall midfield contribution can learn two particular points from Chelsea's.

One is the runners from deep; Tiemoue Bakayoko and (in particular on the day) Danny Drinkwater made huge volumes of surges from deep, unmarked and untracked, into the opposition penalty box.

It doesn't happen often enough with the Reds' central options, which can leave a sole centre-forward to attack the ball.

Secondly, the off-the-ball shape of Liverpool's midfield zone continues to be a shambles at times, struggling to defend against through-passes or counter-attacks.

There's no such lack of cohesion for Chelsea, which in part contributed to making it difficult for Liverpool to create chances.

Personnel, tactics or simple managerial preference? One looks more rounded than the other, in any case.

The Irregulars.

The changes by the manager meant three rotational changes giving non-regular starters their opportunity, as opposed to Ragnar Klavan who continued to deputise in defence due to injuries elsewhere.

It was a mixed afternoon for the three incoming players, with Oxlade-Chamberlain making the best case for future inclusion.

He showed great work rate tracking back in the first half, was quick to challenge high upfield and looked to get past his man whenever possible, with varied success.

At the other end of the scale was James Milner, who had a real shocker.

His time was split between the centre and drifting wide to cover the channel, a difficult enough tactical role, but on the ball he really suffered.

Poor control, badly timed or directed passes and a general lack of sharpness about his play really made him a liability at times.

Sturridge was somewhere in between.

His movement was good and one second-half snapshot almost saw him seize a rare sight of goal in the best way possible, but some of his first touches sent him the wrong way and he didn't link at the speed which the Reds habitually try to in the final third.

The No.

15 will be frustrated to have been subbed off reasonably early, but it would have been tactical—with Liverpool just ahead—as much as anything else.

On that note, with the Reds not making further changes until much later in the game, it's worth noting that Klopp suggested it was partly down to the officials.

Late substitutions and not reacting in matches quickly enough has been an unfortunate theme this term.

Moreno bounces back.

After an extremely difficult midweek performance where he was one of those to blame for the collapse against Sevilla, it was encouraging to see Alberto Morenoproduce a very solid display.

The left-back was strong in the challenge, consistently on the front foot to get the Reds moving forward and diligent about tracking runs.

One or two moments might have had fans wondering if there was impending danger as he slid into a tackle or attempted to dribble away from his box, but Moreno had matters under control for the vast majority of the match.

Chelsea's wing-backs are often an important outlet but he did well in shackling Davide Zappacosta, only allowing a few wayward crosses from that side, and Moreno looked assured and confident throughout.

Klopp still trusts him, and the trust was repaid against Chelsea.

Improved defence, no reward.

Ok, the Reds surrendered a lead for the second time in less than a week, and have one point in each competition where it might have been three.

But this was no Sevilla-esque collapse, nor a point thrown away because of a shambolic back line—even if there were a few calamity moments in trying to clear set pieces or crosses.

In general, the back four was more organised, individually impressive and worked well as a unit.

Moreno we've already mentioned, but Joe Gomez was excellent once more and Ragnar Klavan put in one of his best performances in a Reds shirt.

It's unfortunate that the equalising goal came from what was more than likely a mis-hit cross, clipped in from between Moreno and Klavan—a rare occasion they didn't quite get close enough to the man on the ball.

The few other chances invariably came though from the midfield not closing down or protecting the spaces in front of the defence, while the back four themselves repelled everything in turn.

Salah can't stop scoring.

A final word for the Egyptian goal machine, Mohamed Salah.

It's 15 now for the season, an excellent haul which leaves him as the Premier League's top scorer and the most prolific Liverpool player since the Sturridge-Luis Suarez combination.

Salah had a few half-chances, a few moments of looking the most exciting player on the pitch for the home team and a few opportunities to use his pace on the counter.

Not everything came off, not every moment saw him make the right decision, but he's one of the few in the team who is always looking to get into the penalty box and get a shot away.

It's that mentality and consistency which sees him get chances, and breaking the 20-goal barrier won't be too long in the waiting.

Naby Keita scores his fifth goal of the season - Duration: 4:14.

Naby Keita scores his fifth goal of the season

Naby Keita netted his fifth goal of the campaign for RB Leipzig as the soon-to-be Liverpool midfielder helped his side to a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Keita will join the Reds in a £55 million deal next summer, but for now his attentions remained focused on Leipzig, and their pursuit of the Bundesliga title.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's side welcomed Bremen to the Red Bull Arena as they looked to keep up the pressure on Bayern Munich at the top of the table.

Keita lined up alongside Diego Demme in the Leipzig midfield, with Emil Forsberg and Kevin Kampl supporting the attacking duo of Timo Werner and Yussuf Poulsen.

After a slow start to the season, the 22-year-old is finding form in the middle of the park for Leipzig.

And this was on show on Saturday, with Keita scoring just after the half-hour mark, latching onto an error from Thomas Delaney to fire the ball past Jiri Pavlenka from outside the area.

Leipzig maintained control despite a back-and-forth contest that saw the home side enjoy just 53.

6 percent of the possession.

Hassenhuttl's men did fire six shots on target to Bremen's three, however, with their clinical edge shining through as Bernado sealed the victory late on.

Keita was involved in everything good for Leipzig, with the most touches of any player (107), and the joint-most passes (77), along with Demme.

The Guinean also made the joint-most successful tackles of any player (five), as well as the joint-most interceptions (four), while only Forsberg (three) created more chances (two).

Keita's all-round quality will be a welcome addition to the Liverpool midfield next season, with Klopp identifying the youngster as his ideal signing.

In securing an early deal to bring Keita to Anfield, the Reds pipped competition from Barcelona, as Leipzig's head of football, Oliver Mintzlaff, explained this week.

"Naby was very enthralled by Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp in particular," he told Sport Bild.

"It's understandable that this was something that went through his head because he could earn many times what he gets from us.

"[Interest] was confirmed to us also from Barcelona.

However, they didn't put in as much gas as Liverpool.".

Keita has now scored five goals this season, with Saturday's strike following an effort in Tuesday night's 4-1 win away to Monaco in the Champions League.

That means he's already over halfway to his total of eight goals last season.

Comparatively, Emre Can has three goals this season, and Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson one each.

Media Reports Russia Has Stronger and Deadlier Nuclear Submarine, Calls It the "Vlad Monster" - Duration: 3:34.

The Cold War arms race may be heating back up, at least if Russia's newest submarine

is any indication.

It's called the Prince Vladimir — "Knyaz Vladimir" in Russian — and the British

press has already dubbed it "Vlad's Sea Monster" for its formidable capabilities.

While the United States Navy typically leads the world in submarine technology and abilities,

the new Russian craft is giving America a run for its money, and may be a sign that

Uncle Sam needs to step up its undersea game.

"The Knyaz Vladimir, or Prince Vladimir, can launch up to 20 nuclear warheads and dive

to radar dodging depths of 400 metres (1312 feet), making it virtually undetectable,"

reported the Daily Mail.

"A total of eight of the Borei class subs will be built by 2025, according to reports

in state media, including five of the upgraded mark two vessels like the Vladimir," the

UK news source continued.

The closest comparison to this variant of submarine is the American "Ohio" class

boat.

There are currently 18 of those U.S. subs, but the Russian counterparts have several

advantages.

According to The Sun, the Knyaz Vladimir's inter-continental ballistic missiles are able

to reach targets up to 5,778 miles away.

As an example, that means that Washington, D.C. would be in range from all of Russian

waters, or as far away as Istanbul.

In comparison, American submarines carry more missiles, but they have a lower range.

"Although its US counterpart – the Ohio-class sub – is armed with 24 ICBMs, they only

have a range of 4,846 miles and can't plunge to the same radar-dodging depths," stated

The Sun.

"The development and the construction of the series of Project Borei-A strategic missile-carrying

underwater cruisers is aimed at fulfilling the task of maintaining the armament and equipment

of the groupings of strategic submarines in the Pacific and Northern Fleets at a high

level," Russian navy commander-in-chief Admiral Vladimir Korolyov declared to the

Tass Russian news agency.

While much of the world's attention is focused on the North Korean standoff, it would be

a mistake to forget that Putin's Russia is playing its own chess game, and has continued

to make serious military advances since the days of the Berlin Wall.

At the same time, America's Navy has been facing some noticeable problems.

A string of accidents involving naval vessels and foreign ships has revealed that the U.S.

fleet may not be as advanced and capable as it once was.

That can change — and it will, if leaders like Secretary Mattis have their way — but

the nation must first acknowledge shortcomings in order to take them on.

Countries including China and Russia are looking at the future, and strategically developing

military tools intended to give them an edge.

The U.S. military cannot afford to fall behind or become mired in social experiments.

Teddy Roosevelt's famous adage to "speak softly and carry a big stick" is a smart

policy… but we must ensure that we actually have the "big sticks" to back up our talk.

Despite all the changes in the world over the last few decades, the United States is

still the leader in terms of military and diplomacy.

If the country wants to hold that position, it cannot afford to fall behind, whether on

land, the sea, or in the air.
