Adobe Premiere Clip Battle Royale - Duration: 13:19.

Hi.

Today I thought I'd do an experiment.

Recently I did a review of Adobe Premiere Clip which is a video editing app for Android

and iOS and you can check it up at the link up here.

That got me wondering though.

What platform could do it better, iOS or Android, and on top of that, what was the speed difference

between the highest end Android devices and the highest end Apple devices?

So, that's what we're doing today.

Now here on the left I have the iPad Pro 10", which is running iOS 10.3.

Over here I have the Google Pixel XL, which is running Android version 7.1.1.

And over here we have the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1, which is running Android 7.0.

Now I'd like to include the iPhone 7, but unfortunately I don't have one of those, so

we're going to have to make do with these, but I don't think anyone can argue right now,

as of this date, that these are some of the highest end devices available.

So, how do the combatants stack up?

Well, the iPad Pro 10" has the Apple A9x chip in it which is a dual core 2.16 gigahertz

64 bit CPU, a 12 core PowerVR Series 7 GPU, and it's rocking 2 gigabytes of RAM.

Meanwhile, the Pixel XL has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset.

That's a quad core cpu, but it can only run 2 cores at a time, because there are 2 2.15

gigahertz cores and 2 low powered 1.6 gigahertz cores that it changes back and forth depending

on how much power is needed for the app.

That is a 64 bit CPU and it has a Adreno 530 GPU and 4 gigabytes of RAM.

Lastly, but certainly not least, we have the Nvidia Shield K1, which has the Nvidia Tegra

K1 chipset.

That's a quad core 2.2 gigahertz 32 bit CPU.

It has the GeForce Kepler 192 CUDA cores GPU and 2 gigabytes of RAM.

So I thought it would be fun to see which one could render faster, since they all can

run Adobe Premiere Clip.

I put together on my Pixel XL 2, roughly 5 minute long, videos and then I edited them

to add music and filters and change the exposure on things, just to give it something to render

out so that it's not just transcoding from one format to the other.

It actually has to process it.

And then, after a lot of pain and suffering, I finally got it to sync from this, using

Adobe Creative Cloud, to these other 2 devices.

For whatever reason, if I made the video on here first, it would never, ever sync onto

these.

So, it was quite a pain as you can find out in that other video I made, the syncing process

doesn't work very well and I wouldn't trust it with anything I cared about.

But I was able to get 2 videos here.

The iPad can only run in landscape mode in Adobe Premiere, so that's why it's sideways

like that.

So just to show that there's nothing else going on, I just freshly rebooted those and

opened up settings was all, to show you what was going on in there.

So, we'll get rid of that, so we just have Adobe Clip.

Same thing here.

So they're all freshly, um, booted up and just running the 1 app.

And, to keep track of the time for us, we have they Apple iPod 5th generation, which

I don't think would stand a chance with these and may not even work at all.

So, we're going to start off with this one.

Uh, it's just some screenshots I did for another video that's coming.

I was just doing a screen recording.

So, to perform this test, I'm going to render these out to their respective galleries.

That way the network or WiFi or anything like that isn't involved.

Before we begin, write down who you're rooting for in the comments below and at the end of

the video, we'll see how you did.

Close enough.

Now the 2 Android devices had the option to render out in 720p or 1080p.

The iPad, I could find no option to change the quality, so I had to render out a different

video beforehand and export it to my Mac so I could see what resolution it was, and it

is rendering out at 1080 as well.

So, you can see it's really flying.

When I first saw this, that's what made me stop and think, maybe I wasn't rendering to

the same thing because it is kicking the butt of the Android devices.

One thing while this finishes up here, I have noticed how much snappier the iPad is, um,

especially compared to Android tablets I've had in the past.

Ok, it's done at about 1:51.

Compared to Android tablets I've had in the past and even this one over here, um, and

it's partly due to the hardware, definitely, but, iOS, the fact that it runs, um, on Objective-C

and Swift, it makes such a huge difference to how everything performs and that's why

Apple's been able to get by with just 1 or 2 gigabytes of RAM for so long, because, a

lot of the processing is done in compile time on the computer, rather than doing, like,

garbage collection stuff while the program is running in Java, which is what Android

is based on.

Another thing to note is that they're all running on their recommended power and they

all have a case behind them, so heat shouldn't be a huge problem for any of them.

On my next test I'll take the cases off and just lay them on the table, just to remove

all variables.

So, I'm just going to let these finish up and then we'll come back and run they other

video as well and probably expecting the same results; I just wanted to run 2 videos to

get an Average for the different in time between them all.

And at 8:12 we have the Nvidia Shield done.

Right now the Pixel XL, with its 2 cores, is really struggling.

I don't know if these are GPU accelerated encodes.

Um, if they were, I would think the Nvidia Shield would have done better with its 192

CUDA cores.

And coming in 3rd, at 12:55, is the Pixel XL.

On to round 2.

This is another set of footage that I filmed for another video that hopefully will be up

soon.

So, while I think the order is definitely still going to be the same, I'm curious how

each device is going to do against itself because this video is a lot more complex,

with a lot more, uh, changes between the pixels.

So, let's go ahead and get started.

I'll save you having to watch another video render out and cut to the chase.

As you can see, the iPad won again, but the Nvidia Shield did not finish.

Now, that's maybe not Nvidia's fault because technically, if you tried to download Adobe

Premiere Clip on the Nvidia Shield, it says the devices is not supported.

I had to side load it in order to get it to work.

So, we're just going to throw out those results.

Both of these videos ended up being 5 minutes and 3 seconds long and if we take the average

time between the 2 runs, we get 2:03 for the iPad Pro. 13:09 for the Pixel XL and then

we're just going to go with the first time for the Nvidia K1 tablet with a time of 8

minutes and 12 seconds.

Now the iPad had more going for it than just rendering out the video faster.

I pulled the videos into my computer to have a look at the files and, first thing I noticed,

was that the iOS rendered out in a .MOV file, which is Apple's proprietary format.

Meanwhile, the Android rendered out in a .MP4 file.

If we pull up the properties for these, we can see that the iOS did it in 205 megabytes,

meanwhile, the Android took 293 megabytes, which is significantly bigger.

Continuing on, if we go into the details here, one weird anomaly, was that the iOS made the

file length 5 minutes and 28 seconds, where the Android did the 5:03 which was the time

length that I actually put in for the video.

You can also see here that the data rate on the iOS is smaller at, uh, 5.1 megabits per

second, meanwhile, the Android was around 7.9 megabits per second and it pumped it out

at an even 30 frames per second, while this is probably at the 29.97 frames per second.

And going on to the audio codecs, uh, the Android did just a little bit larger, not

much, but 48 kilohertz, while this was 44 kilohertz.

If we pull up MediaInfo, for those of you who like codecs and stuff, I'll hold this

on the screen for a moment here.

I don't know a lot about codecs.

I know enough to kind of get around with them, but if any of this means anything to you,

uh, you might find it interesting.

If you want to look longer, go ahead and hit that pause button.

Now, lets take a look at the actual videos themselves.

I grabbed some screen shots directly from the videos so we can compare the quality between

the two.

This first one we're looking at is the Pixel XL version.

You can see on the mask and in the shadowy parts how many compression artifacts there

are.

If we jump over to the iPad version, it looks much smoother.

Another thing to note is the Flarecorp Media logo, that I set to be a watermark on there,

appeared on the Pixel, as it was supposed to be, but for some reason, it didn't get

added into the iPad version.

If we take a look at this next clip, the compression artifacts are much more noticeable.

You can see them across the entire image.

Whereas compared to the iPad, it looks like a much higher quality video.

Going back to the Pixel image here, this is the type of artifacting I was seeing when

I did my Adobe Premiere Clip review and I said it wasn't high enough quality that I

would feel comfortable sharing anything with.

But the iPad version looks much nicer.

And finishing it off by looking at a short video clip here.

We'll go ahead and look at the Pixel XL.

If you focus on the fire, you'll see all those artifacts getting flicked around.

And then we will jump over to the iPad version.

And then we'll jump back and forth real fast.

And you can see just how much smoother and nicer the iPad version is.

So, there you have it.

There wasn't really a point to this video.

I was just kind of curious how the same app would perform on different devices.

Let me know if you liked this format, just testing things out.

Uh, let me know if the results surprised you.

They kind of surprised me.

I know how well iOS performs, uh, but the Nvidia Shield tablet is a really strong device.

So, I thought it could go either way.

The cool thing to take away from this is that they iOS version of Adobe Premiere Clip produces

some really high quality videos and that's great because now I know I can edit on the

run if I really need to.

If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up.

If you didn't, I understand.

It was just something new to try out.

Uh, but please check out one of our other videos over here and when you're done with

that, please subscribe because the subscribes really help me a lot.

Uh, that's all for today.

Thanks a ton for watching.

Bye.

Classical Musicians React: TWICE 'Ooh Ahh' vs 'Cheer Up' - Duration: 18:16.

kevin: so ya know this is common

this sounds like spring day almost

umu: cuz it's in eb

yeah no no Db

so it's I, iii, vi, IV

that's your basic one

yunyi: plagal cadence!

yeah

yes. what they- what they did for most of it was

I, iii, vi, iv, which is the note that kills me,

but then, somewhere after the bridge they did something very cool which is

so you know this is a iii. when iii gets turned to major, it's actually the V of the iv chord

so there was

and then they went down there again so it was like up, down boom boom

it was like...yeah

*Rossini's Semiramide Overture plays*

umu: girl group this is Twice gwen: ohh ahh

umu: this is their very first song this is their debut song and it's called

henry: ohh ahh

umu: ooooHah

Lindsey: 3

Davis: 2

Both: One

*click*

kevin: ohhh i like that F# major

yunyi: ahhh i like the colors!

kevin: ah, i like the mixture- oH MY GOD YUNYI: ooOHHH

henry: what thhheeee emiel: ok that's cool henry: what the zombies!?

henry: gooodaamn

fiona: off to a good start henry: that's very dope

hugo: (talking about the lyrics) is it maybe because you're alive in a zombie world?

lindsey: the lil flute!!!

davis: ohh zombies is it- is that what we're going to be doing here?

is that- alright- cool

lindsey: i like the little- it's like a little flute like-

kevin: that is- i see why it was bumped

oah

another plot twist

they're not....zombies

naoki: that rising bass line, you know something's gna happen

fiona: maaajor scale, maaajor scale

sounds like Mahler 1

very predictable but that's ok!

kevin: i love mixture <3

this is a very good song! like, harmony wise

henry: this chord progression is definitely confusing me

emiel: it's definitely a trippy chord progression

henry: yeah emiel: i don't get it

henry: there's so many of them!

naoki: ooh ah oooah

that-

yeah this is

very different

kevin: eheaihe the choreography- ohh, oh such flur but the song is so good

davis: true i was just reading- i spent a lot of time reading the lyrics and it was just like I-

it was basically like "everyone thinks i'm beautiful but I just want to be in love"

lindsey: i like this

i like this :3

their voices sound really cool

kevin: there's- there's a lot of girls generation vibes now

hugo: i can't see their legs! where did their legs go? oh man!

*confused silence*

gwen: what

why can't you see their legs...?

....wait for it....

hugo: they're wearing camo!

kevin: i'm getting paramore vibes!

yunyi: yeah there's some low key abra levine in this

kevin: yeah yeah

naoki: that was a road safety hazard

oh look there they go again

shimon: this is cool they're all like really unique

kevin: girls dancing in the bus while there are zombies outside

yunyi: a lil less fabulous

but...

kevin: that's pretty!

ohmahgod

shimon: voices, like...

i mean like style in general

the way they look

naoki: well it's like one of them singing and then they eventually harmonize

and then one, one goes off again and then they harmonize

lindsey: i really- it's really peppy though. I like this a lot.

naoki: there's so many different styles within this song it's ridiculous

it's like bohemian rhapsody in that way i guess

lindsey: i feel like this would be the song that a dance team would put in a mix of something they're going to dance to

kevin: i have to say! this music video is winning me over.

i'm extremely charmed by this

emiel: woahh this chord progression is definitely-

henry: i know

it's like-

it's like- emiel: ok they're the zombies which i am noot understanding still

lindsey: it's like- davis: major third

once every sixteen

lindsey: it's a- it's a major second

it's just a whole step

davis: oh yeah

davis: i-i again with the intervals, i just can't xD

wow

they're workin these 8 couunts

it's so good

shimon: different styles <3

naoki: harmonically it seemed quite plain but-

i mean...yeah? shimon: yeah

naoki: do you agree? shimon yeah i agree

naoki: nothing really stood out about it harmonically

umu: but it was still like- you enjoyed it?

naoki!: yeah! shimon: it didn't get bland

naoki: i would agree with that

lindsey: i liked it!

umu: ok

davis: it was alright

lindsey: yeah davis: the dancing was really really good, the music I was kinda like meh

umu: ok. so- davis: the lyrics!

it was nice to have the lyrics tho because

because it did kinda give me a little bit of insight to what they were actually- you know like- ya know

cuz whenever you have a title like

"like ooh ahh"

umu: you're like "wait what is it abut??"

davis: what could this possible- like ok there's zombies and like

i would have had no clue so that- it was good to have a little bit of insight

gwen: cuz it was very like- synth.

beat

vocals

hugo: yeah

there were- there was like

i would have made a few chord

differences too...like it was a very straightforward chord structure

emiel: i like the music. i didn't understand some the zombies

but

groove was pretty good and the chord- sh*t

the chords were confusing

so i was like

a lil bit confused but it was groovy!

fiona: going along those lines

i'm just kinda confused by the whole plot

and like everything

but like I said the music was nice. it was a good mixture of- a confusing mixture of like HAPPY HAPPY

and then like

ahhahaaahh

fiona: mystery! emiel: a confusing mixture of confusion fiona: i think, it goes along

with the lyrics that i was confused about

yunyi: i wish it was something more than just cute

ok cuz like-

i feel like watching this it's definitely like

like- i see they're trying to go for like empowerment points but it's just not...it's not...like this is soo

i think self degrading in a sense

like it just perpetuates the idea that women are like are sorta like objects of romantic desire...objects of like

ya know like

physical appeal and that they're just sooo few like

girl group songs

ok i'm not getting exposure to them

but so far the one's i have been exposed to

have just been about like

you know like, "i'm the prettiest"

ya know and it's just not...

i hate that and it's why i can't stand a lot of girl groups

kevin: you have a good point i agree

lindsey: i think that i liked that

but it also just kinda sounded generic

you know..

umu: was it just not your style of music?

you know it wasn't really my style of music. the chord progression was pretty interesting

mostly because

i almost made this comment in the middle of it like to you about like

it's weird because it's like

theres like the first, when it was the "chorus"

the first chord

it generally was like- there's a couple places that the first chord of a chorus can go

so that it follows a pretty traditional path to the end of the chorus

and it felt like there were 2 places it wanted to go but as opposed to going one of them or the other,

it went both of them and it was just like O.O

like the melodic line- they'd be singing in major but then like bass will have like minor qualities

kevin: are we watching another video by them? umu: yep

kevin: cool cuz i'd like to see more cuz i really really dug this umu: ok

umu: the song? kevin: the song and the video!

it wasn't like- because i was attracted to them but it was just fun! for me

umu: this one is called cheer up!

umu: it broke- henry: after mild confusion

this song like broke a ton of ...records

gwen: 3 2 1

lindsey: i tought that guy had a washing machine on his head

shimon: washing machine...?

umu: that's a camera!

naoki: it looked like a washing machine

i'll back him up- oh ok i see it now

shimon: I see camera camera

hugo: weird noises

emiel: get that edm

beat goin

yeah man yeah man

henry: minor 3

henry: whAT emiel: oh

emiel: wow henry: wow

emiel: that took a different turn

yunyi: pleASE

kevin: that 8th note is just spasming like yunyi: girl you don't need him to tell you you're pretty!

Yunyi: *Pained groan* Keivn: I just like the spasming 8th note

Hugo: Gaaahhhh

Umu: K words???

Hugo: *Groan*

Mmmmmm

Kevin: Man I like this

Henry: Woah, WAT the f*****ck, hey now

Emiel: I'm- Fiona: It's building

Kevin: It's a nice video

I like the idea of changing- Oh guns

Lindsey: I like it

Davis: Yeah I'm just- Lindsey: It's kinda weird because the lyrics are like come on boy leave me alone but they're so happy abou- like it's so upbeat and peppy

Naoki: Oh I can here the bass in this one (Omg he's still on that)

Shimon: Good Naoki: Yeah

Umu: Hehe

Naoki: It's very reaffirming

Hugo: I'm enjoying the different styles they're doing Gwen: Oh yeah I like- I love the video

Hugo: She's hot as f*** Gwen: Yeah they're all hot as f***

Hugo: That's true

Gwen: I read your message but ignore your calls Hugo: Hm?

Kevin: Aw this video stopped being clever

I'm so sad (Plz don't be sad Kevin)

(I know this is Twice but I saw a Highlight opportunity so I took it)

Like when they cut and then they're like in the same positions

Now now they're just- ok hold on there's still hope

Awwwwwww

Fiona: Like it when it goes to them classy in black, musically it switches to more like a Latin s- I don't know what to call it

Henry: Woah

Naoki: That sounds like (8?) but in music

Naoki: Dun dun yeah Shimon: Mhmhmhm

Keivn: Awww they threw- they kick- they kicked it. They, yeah

The song is still good, I like the song. A lot of minor chords which

Kind of destroy me when they're used right and I think it's used right here

Davis: I just think it's really funny how they're incorporating the whole like lenses into the changing personality of the subject, but it's still the same thing

Gwen: I hate the refrain

Like I'm- I'm like mostly ok with this song and then the refrain comes and I'm like I wanna die

Hugo: I like the drip that went ploop Gwen: *sings* cheer up baby cheer up baby

Lindsey: They're all really cute like the whole thing is just very cutesie so it's like Davis: Yeah

Davis: But it's still incorporating so many different personalities which is really cool Lindsey: Yeah

Emiel: Heh Fiona: What is that *Does dance*

Umu or Ash: They go cheer up baby cheer up baby Fiona: What about their wrists

Emiel: Let them do their own thing Fiona: I'm sorry, it bothers me

Emiel: XD triggered

Henry: You bother me

Yunyi: I- I- I quit at the point where they said a girl shouldn't give up her heart so easily (Oh they have subs on)

Hugo: Thaat has some more than slightly sexist undertones

Kevin: I like it! That was good

It did something

So it starts in-

Oh no it didn't do it

Henry: They definitely did it slowly then sped it up, it's pretty cool actually

Fiona: I love that

What cool effects

Davis: Wow what a special commentary

Yunyi: I mean I like the themes of the different movie genres

Kevin: That I liked. Oh that was good- Oh they did they did the switching again where they like Yunyi: That's pretty cool

Kevin: Made the same face at the very end they're like hey we haven't forgotten that

That's one of the silliest things I've ever seen

Kevin: Hehehehe no it's pretty amusing Umu: The Cheer uup

Umu: And that. Is that what you're saying or what happened in the music video Kevin: The very end where they're all - everyone's like partying and then the camera person just scratching his head and then the music video ends

Umu: Ok ok, you like the song because it did things Kevin: I really like the song. There's a moment I'm sure it did it, so- so

Umu: Heh

Umu: Thoughts on the music

Naoki: I think Shimon should Cheer Up hahaha

Naoki: Cheer up Shimon mon, Cheer up Shimon mon

Lindsey: Yeah that is kinda stupid. The song itself is super cutsie, upbeat, fun to listen to but like Davis: Yeah the song was fine

Lindsey: But the message is just kinda stupid Davis: But those lyrics were- yeah

Davis: That actually was a little upsetting

Shimon: I think I liked the first one better because I

Of the music and video because there was more individuality between the members

Umu: mhm

Shimon: Whereas this one it felt like they were grouped into 3 or 4

Naoki: I mean I- I mean that didn't bother me I really liked the cheering up, the- it was really catchy and quite

you know, quite energetic as well

just

wouldn't stop, but that was fine

Gwen: Actually no put me, put me for one, the first song. The first one was fine Umu: Ok

Umu: 0 Hugo: 0

0

Gwen: Yeah

I'm

emmmm

Hugo: Yup, nope

Lindsey: When I said like- like be a real man I was like

Are you kidding, come on like... I'm disappointed

Umu: Yeah Lindsey: Like I- haha Davis: i'm not upset I'm just disappointed

Lindsey: Yeah

Exactly. I'm not- I'm not mad, just like, do better

Hugo: Like I am sooo not approving of them like cuz not only are they sexist to women, they're sexist to men which even of itself is kind of the same thing

Cuz honestly feminism is for a man being a real man he's stating that having feminist qualities about you or feminine qualities about you

Makes you not a real man when in fact it's just having emotions doesn't make you any less of a man it just makes you a f***ing human being

So by saying be a real man you're trying to tell people to be devoid of emotions

Yunyi: If this was like the baseline worst that it got then it's fine Kevin: Yeah

Yunyi: Like

The fact that this is like the better of groups that you've picked out is- Aw it just kills me because do the double standards of the groups ? cuz like

Look it let's take like a meaningless masculine song for example I think DOPE is pretty meaningless in the sense of it's kind of like I'm dope, I'm cool I can do- but

They key point here is I can do things better than anyone else is like what they say at some point and that's like the jist of the video right but here it's just kind of like

Yunyi:Cheer up baby I'll call you back someday Kevin: But see the- you---

Yunyi: *Hits table* Oh my goooohahad Kevin: But see the DOPE a- be- g-

Kevin: The argument for DOPE is similar to like separating a bad rap song from a good rap song. Most rap songs are about how good, how boss somebody is

But like in the case of DOPE, it's done pretty well

Kevin: Unless you don't think so

Yunyi: I think it's done well yeah no no I'm just saying that both music videos and both peices Kevin: Ok good, Ok I wasn't sure

Yunyi: Not pieces- Songs themselves um, sort of aim to- Like Dope kind of lowkey sexualizes BTS. You know it's definitely one of those like they're flaunting their sex appeal

But they're not doing it in a way that's kind of like making them an object dependent on sort of that romanticization that they're being

that's being focused on for that song you know. They talk about how- it's a self confidence thing because they talk about ow they're better than anyone else

and they're like, they're so dope in that way, but this is kind of like oh boy I'm playing with you, ya know. Don't be sad I'll call you back. So it's kind of like- it's dependant

on something else, it's not internal you know Umu: RIght

Emiel: I mean in terms of like, the music itself

Emiel: Good music, good groove, fun to listen too Henry: Yeah for sure Fiona: Yeah I agree that I liked the song overall, eh lyrics made me cringe

Henry: I liked it when I didn't know the lyrics Emiel: Yeah Fiona: But like-

Kevin: But see the reason I liked it so much, and I'm not- I'm totally agreeing with you here, but just because you know like innately I'm not as sensitive to this topic

So like how you're saying that there are so many songs and grooves that do that already from the past I think that's the exact same reason why I liked it- cuz like

Oh yeah I've seen this in the past and this is just another one where it's the same trend but they do it- I think they do it just fine and I like it

Kevin: I'm not saying that you're argument is invalid but that's just- Yunyi: I think you like it better because the way they present yourself doesn't have an immediate effect on how society views you

Yunyi: Where it does for me so Kevin: I guess

Umu: Yeah Yunyi: Yeah it's just- I mean I comment them still for doing what they're doing and a know it's-

It's a step not- it's not quite eh no- it's not a step in the right direction but it's not taking a step back, it's still a step and I'm glad

Yunyi: -they have careers. Hahaha it's a shuffle Kevin: It's a step horizontally so it doesn't go hahaha

Yunyi: It's a shuffle. I'm glad they're doing what they're doing. They have beautiful voices, the music video is well done blah blah blah blah

It seems to be the unanimous opinion in kpop that it's always extremely well produced and they're all very talented but I just wish they had

a better message to go with Umu: Right, right. So at producers

Yunyi: ?? Or let the girls do what they wanna do. You know actually watching these it makes me really appreciate Blackpink

Umu: Haha yeah

Destiny 2 and Zelda on PC, Great Apple News -- Weekly Download #38 - Duration: 5:35.

Hey welcome to Zach's Tech Turf, and Weekly Download episode number 38, which is my weekly

tech and PC gaming news series.

Today, I'm gonna be playing some PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds while I give you this news,

and I'm gonna be sipping on a dark roast coffee I think.

Make sure you guys let me know in the comment section what you're sipping on, and also,

check out my new clothing sponsor MainFrame for dope shirts like this.

Let's get into it!

To start off the tech news, Apple has finally, and I mean finally announced their update

to their desktop computer the Mac Pro.

Mac Pro users have desperatly waiting for an upgrade to their 3 year old machines, I'm

not one of them by the way, and they finally have it.

Apple announced the specs of 2 versions of the new Mac Pro which will cost 3,000 and

4,000 dollars.

The updates obviously include better CPU's and GPU's, but nothing was mentioned about

USB C nor Thunderbolt 3, which is a huge disappointment.

The company also addressed the lack of updates to their desktop, claiming that their percentage

of customers using the Mac Pro is in the single digits, which makes a lot of sense.

In even more Apple news, in addition to the Mac Pro, they've announced that they are

creating their own GPU.

We all know how much Apple likes to keep everything in house, but already having their own CPU's,

wireless cards, storage controllers, etc, so the GPU was bound to happen.

Right now the iPhone 7 is rocking the PowerVR A10 fusion chip and that will probably be

the last of that.

They plan on building their own in house GPU completely from scratch and I'm honestly

looking forward to it.

We can see just how smoothly everything runs when the software and hardware are made from

the same company, so the GPU will only improve performance even more.

Alright enough about Apple, let's get into some actual PC news, specifically with Netflix.

Netflix has just added the download option for Windows 10 devices include desktop PC's.

Previously the download option was only available on Android and iOS phones, but now with Windows

10, I'm sure a lot of users will be happy.

Just make sure you open up your store page and download the updates, the whole updating

process in the Windows store isn't the best at the moment.

And to wrap up the tech news, I hope you guys didn't miss out on the Google Maps April

Fools Joke this week.

When you opened up the Maps app on your phone, you were greeted by a Ms Pacman logo that

you could click and then play Ms Pacman.

It transported you to a random location within Maps and you could play Ms Pacman right on

top of it.

It was pretty cool and a huge surprise and I absolutely love when companies do weird

and cool stuff like this.

It's no longer available so like I said, I hope you guys didn't miss out on this.

To start off PC gaming news, Destiny 2 is freaking coming to the PC.

Oh.

My.

God.

Do I really need to say more about this?

I'm so excited for this because Destiny is one of only 2 games that made me buy a

console, Madden was the other, and BUngie released the first trailer and announcement

this week.

We don't know too much outside of the trailer at this point, but they said that a gameplay

reveal is set for May 18th and a summer beta for those that preorder will be happening.

You can 1,000% count me in for that.

I can't wait.

There was a ton of news this week about Zelda Breath of the Wild being played in 4k on a

PC.

This was made possible with the Cemu emulator and a very powerful PC, and you can still

go watch that now if you haven't.

Zelda obviously looks far superior compared to any Nintendo device and it only has fans

drooling and wishing that this was actually not an emulator.

I'm not big on emulating so I don't know too much more about this, but if you guys

are into this kinda thing make sure you let me know.

In VR news, which I actually haven't talked about in a while, the HTC Vive is bringing

a software/gaming subscription service.

For just a few bucks a month you'll have full access to over 50 apps that are running

with the service to start, and it's a great way to bring more VR possibilities to users.

It's a really good sign that developers are on board for this because it allows users

to experience more of the VR world and spread this awesome technology.

I'll get my hands on this one day, hopefully.

Next up the realistic modern military FPS Squad is having another free weekend this

week.

Squad is a bit more realistic than more online FPS, and I still haven't tried this out

for myself yet.

They are also updating the game with its first significant dive into urban combat and it

looks pretty baller.

I'm gonna try this game out and let you know what I think, probably over on Twitter,

so make sure you're following me over there @ZachsTechTurf, and maybe we can play together

this weekend.

And finally to wrap up PC gaming news, Rocket League is coming with a new DLC that looks

about as baller as it gets.

It's the Fate of the Furious DLC which is obviously promoting the new Fast and Furious

movie coming out on April 18th.

I'm actually a huge fanboy of the movies and I'm pretty stoked for the DLC.

This includes Dom Toretto's Dodge Ice charger from the movie and a few other items.

Well that wraps up Weekly Download episode number 38.

Make sure you guys let me know in the comment section what your favorite tech or PC gaming

news was this week, or if I missed anything.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed this video, please drop a like down below to help support my

channel, and as always, thank you for watching and please subscribe for more Zach's Tech

Turf videos!

A Recent History of Rappers Comparing Themselves to 2Pac - Duration: 3:37.

For Complex News, I'm Beija Velez, and with the upcoming 2Pac biopic All Eyez On Me hitting

theaters in June, we aren't surprised that 'Pac's name has stayed in the news.

Most recently that's been due to Troy Ave, who called his career to

the second coming of 2Pac.

New Pac?

That sounded crazy to many people on Twitter, but interestingly enough, Troy Ave is far

from the first rapper to call himself the second coming of 2Pac.

Back in 2010, T.I. had this to say to Rolling Stone about his album No Mercy.

"It is the most significant return from incarceration that the game has had since [2Pac's All Eyez

on Me].

Just given the enormous success of that project, everyone's expecting the same results.

I just want to meet the expectations, if not surpass them."

- via Rolling Stone

Truth be told, Troy Ave isn't even the first person to say that he was New Pac, as Lil

Wayne called himself New Pac during a concert in 2013.

Kanye West said that he embodies Pac among a number of other legendary black artists

during a concert in 2014.

"When we're standing face to face, you know who you're talking to.

You know you see me as a Gemini creator of 2014.

You know you're looking in the face of Miles Davis.

You know you're looking in the face of Lauryn Hill.

You know you're looking in the face of Pac.

You know you're looking in the face of Biggie.

You know you're looking in the face of Prince.

You know you're looking in the face of every Gemini creator."

- via Kanye West

Jeezy hopped on Hot 97 in 2014 to say that at

the top, it's just him and 2Pac.

2014 was also the year that 50 Cent spoke with The Guardian, telling them about his

cred in the game.

"I don't think they'll replace me now.

Already my face is in the hearts of people who really love hip-hop music, and the culture's

growing to the point where you have people from all walks of life choosing it for their

personal pleasure.

So it's already there.

I don't think it's going to take me being killed to compare me to Biggie or 2Pac.

I am immortal."

- via The Guardian

Tyga got on this trend as well in 2016, commenting specifically on how he keeps a lower profile

when it comes to his next moves.

"I only like people to know what I want them to know.

People didn't know what Tupac was doing.

That's why he was so iconic.

Before [the internet], it was real superstars…I don't engage with people that much.

You can't base your life off waking up every morning like, 'What are people saying about

me now?'

Then I'd never stay in my creative headspace."

- via DuJour

Feel comfortable knowing that Tyga won't be in these comments going over how he may

be getting roasted.

Kodak Black took it one step further in a 2016 interview with XXL.

[QUOTE CARD] "I'm better than Tupac and Biggie.

I say that so now you know where my head at."

- via XXL

Really, fam?

Really?

Finally we have Joey Badass, who just recently said he'd cook Pac if they ever got into

a battle.

[QUOTE CARD] "I already know I'm a better rapper than

2Pac is.

That's just facts.

One on one battle, I'll flame Pac." - via Genius

So there you have it, a quick look at some of your favorite rappers comparing themselves

to 'Pac.

We want to hear what you think, though.

Are there any rappers who are more Pac-like than the rest?

Let us know in the comments.
