Baking Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies

All ingredients & quantitative data are listed & linked in the infobox below.

Welcome to a new video...

...the cold season just began...

...so we can start the cookie baking time of the year...

...for that I got a recipe for delicious chocolate hazelnut cookies today...

...first we have to mix the dry ingredients...

...200 grams flour, 50 grams ground hazelnuts, 30 grams cocoa powder & ½ sachet baking powder...

...next, in a second mixing bowl combine 150 grams soft butter, 1 egg, 100 grams brown sugar, 1 sachet vanilla sugar & a pinch of salt...

...& mix together with a blender or kitchen machine for 2 - 3 minutes until creamy...

...if that's done gradually add the dry ingredients & stir in...

...so add 3 - 4 spoons flour mixture...

...mix until well combined...

...then another few spoons of flour mixture...

...mix...

...& repeat until all dry ingredients are incorporated...

...& you got a firm but slightly sticky cookie dough...

...with next step we have to portion the dough...

...that means shape the dough into 24 equal sized balls by rolling them between your palms...

...then prepare a plate with chopped hazelnuts for the cookie topping...

...& now gently press each dough ball into the hazelnuts...

...& place them on a lined baking sheet...

...now bake the cookies for 12 - 15 minutes in a preheated oven...

...at 180°C (top/bottom heat)...

...until the cookies are beautiful & crispy...

...get the done cookies out of the oven...

...allow them to cool a bit...

...& then serve...

...I hope you liked the video...

...I wish you lots of fun baking & see you next video!

Why You Get Imposter Syndrome And How to Overcome It | Inc. - Duration: 2:34.

if we think from a neuroscience point of view about why some people feel that

they don't deserve a raise or don't deserve a promotion

then this relates to what in lay language is called inferiority complex

but in business language is known as impostor syndrome this is a syndrome

where people feel like they will get caught out for being a fraud they feel

like they're not really good enough to be in the position that they're in and

somebody is going to recognize that and expose them in scientific terms what

underlies people feeling inferior or having impostor syndrome is that we've

really underestimated the importance of a sense of belonging

ever since we lived in tribes it's been super important to be part of a group

that's kept you safe it's kept you warm not just physically but emotionally as

well that sense has been connected to other people in many ways despite social

media meaning that we're more connected to than ever before there's a growing

sense of isolation and loneliness and disconnection in modern society this can

lead to us comparing ourselves unfavorably to other people feeling that

we don't fit into the group and having a very low sense of meaning and purpose in

our lives and in our work and that leaves the door open for things like

inferiority complex and impostor syndrome to start occurring in our brain

the things that keep your brain healthy and particularly this very basic need of

the sense of belonging are exactly the same factors that neuroscience relates

to what we call successful aging so it's the usual physiological factors of

breast fuel hydrate oxygenate and simplify your life

but one that's particularly important is having positive meaningful social

relationships so making sure that you connect

regularly making sure that you sit down and eat together and people aren't on

their mobile phones or tablets or watching television was whilst you need

just doing those very basic things that tell us that we're connected to other

people that were connected to the place that we live in or work in even things

like walking outside of nature and feeling connected to the world they all

really feed into that basic need and the brain to belong and be part of something

that's bigger than just ourselves

you

Living Room Makeover Ft. Slick and Natty | DMD Make My Space Beautiful E-1| Command Hooks Uses - Duration: 14:55.

Hi everybody welcome back this is Disha and I'm here to help you transform your

house into a home. so my blogging journey has been super amazing so far I have

collaborated with so many wonderful fellow bloggers and it was quite fun

and similarly I wanted to collaborate with some youtubers also because it's

been a year and I haven't worked with any YouTuber closely I really wanted to

collaborate with some youtuber and luckily I got a message from a popular

YouTuber and you might already know her. so actually I was looking for some

inspirations to transform my old t-shirt into a jacket because I really loved

that t-shirt so that's when I discovered Ishpreet. Ishpreet of Slick and Natty

She has an amazing channel I love her I admire her for her creativity she is

super amazing so she also discovered me and she sent me a message on Instagram

and together we decided that we are going to meet each other and

today's the day when I'm going to meet her and I'm gonna give her living room

makeover. so this will be a fun collaboration and I am introducing to

you my brand new series called DMD make my space beautiful. so you

might have figured out what this series will be about I will be going to some

places and and I will be giving spaces a brand new

look. so if you are in Pune you can contact me and I will be coming over to your

place and giving it a makeover. so that's it and I'm going to meet Ishpreet now and

I'm super nervous as well as super excited because I have so many doubts

whether I'll be able to pull it off or not but since self-doubt is the worst

enemy to creativity so I'm going to believe in myself and let's see

how it turns out come with me and hey by the way I forgot to tell you

this video is in association with Command 3M command and together we'll bring you

an amazing stuff so keep watching. In this video I will be showing you some

renter friendly and budget-friendly makeover ideas so keep watching

so everybody I'm at Ishpreet's place now and here is Ishpreet. She has an amazing channel

called slick and Natty which is based on lifestyle fashion and beauty and she

transforms old clothes into something really amazing and completely

new so here is Ishpreet. Hi everybody so just like Disha transforms a house

into a home I transform old clothes into something new and useful and today

actually this house that we are sitting in its our new rented house for me. It

was a fully furnished house so I have not done anything to this living room

and Disha today is going to help me give this living room a new fresh look

on a budget. Yeah so let's start and I will be adding links to her channel and

social media in the description box so do check out. So this is an overview of

Ishpreet's living room. What I really liked about it is that the walls are in

neutral color and sofas are beige so I can easily infuse some colors and this

is the wall where I'll add colors and two challenging things are one is this

off Center sofa which makes the arrangement look weird and then this

bulky side table

so first I started with moving the furniture so that the sofa is in the

center and this way I was able to kill two birds with one stone because

side table will serve as a coffee table and sofa is in the center now

then I figured out the center of the wall as I'm planning to hang some

artwork here on this wall to introduce some colors

since Ishpreet works with fabric a lot so I decided that I'll give her

something that reflects her passion so that every time she looks at that

particular artwork she finds some connection so I decided to DIY

fabric wall art and here is how we made it. So this is the scrap fabric that

Ishpreet already had and this one she bought. It's so nice

this looks really amazing it has lots of colors and looks like ikkat. So we

are going to stick it. we have already marked the wall and now we'll stick the fabric

to the cardboard and then we'll make we'll try to make a frame and let's see how it turns out. So I kept the fabric

right side facing down and placed cardboard over it then I cut the fabric

leaving 2 inches extra fabric on all the sides so that I can fold it

I stick the fabric onto the cardboard I'm using hot glue here though fabric

glue can be used in place of hot glue

and the fabric wall art is ready. This fabric is beige and complements the sofa

quite well but to make it more interesting

I mimicked the pattern and the colors of ikkat wall art. Ishpreet wanted horizontal

patterns on one panel and the vertical patterns on the other one. So here is how

we painted it now to hang it on the wall I made loop using twine and fixed it

with hot glue. Later I'll use command hooks to hang it on the wall though I

could have used command strips in place of command hooks but since I have

already shown how to use command strips in one of my previous videos.I'll share

the clip in a while. so this time I thought that I'll be giving you some

other ideas so that you have options to select. So yeah here's the clip and also

in case if you want to watch the complete video, that particular video

so I will add the link in description and here in this card as well.

can you see 3M command strips no nails no damage removes cleanly and no marks so they

come in different sizes small medium and large this one is small and I have 4

strips that can hold up to 1.8 kg weight. Now I am gonna stick that board

on that wall using strips. These are the four strips and

this is how you have to separate it like this on the reverse side you can see

there is a liner you have to press it gently until it clicks and once it is

set remove this liner

and once it is up on the wall you just need to pull the frame and take it off

leave it just like that for one hour and after that you can hang your picture there.

first remove this black liner and stick it on the wall.

remove this blue liner

so instead of making twine loop you can use D-ring, saw-tooth hook or any picture hanger

I noticed that Ishpreet doesn't have any lamp in her living room so I thought I'm

gonna give her a nice lamp for sure because warm light of lamp makes so

much difference. So and since we are working on a budget-friendly makeovers

so I thought I'll do a DIY and geometric pattern pendant lamps are quite trendy

these days so I decided that I'll be making a hexagon pendant light and

this is how we made it. So for this DIY you will need wire with bulb holder and

plug, skewers or dowels hot glue that's it. First, I cut six pieces of 2.5 inches

each and made a hexagon using hot glue then I made a bigger hexagon of 8

inches after that i cut the six pieces of 10 inches to join the smaller

hexagon to the bigger one then I made one more hexagon of 5.5 inches it will

be a lower part and then used five inches pieces to join it with the upper part of

the lamp. Now comes the installation part and I'm using command Clips here again

to hang the lamp. So this is a great tip for people who live in a rented

apartment that without drilling a hole on the wall or in the ceiling you can

actually hang the pendant lamps and here is how I used Command clips along the

corner of the wall so that wire doesn't look ugly. now it's time to style the

space and this is my favorite part.

Now we'll see Abhishek's reaction.

So here's my husband and he doesn't know what has happened to our living room,

what Disha has done to our living room. So let's see what reaction he gives.

Wow!! Beautiful

So just like a cosy living room we always wanted.

Our living room was all white

before there was nothing on the wall but now it actually looks so cosy. I'm

really loving it and I'm so surprised that we could do this in less than thousand rupees

Right! Correct! thank you so much Disha. it's my pleasure entirely

my pleasure I really enjoyed doing. It is also very neat. I see this wiring over here is quite neat. Yeah!

Great work! Thank You!

so that's all for today I really hope you enjoyed this makeover and in case

you want to see some more images and clips of this makeover then head over to

Ishpreet's channel and keep watching because I am coming up with Diwali DIYs

and I'll see you soon in my next video till then wish you all Love Luck and

sunshine and Bbye!!!

LURI SORROCHE COACHES A MEN'S TEAM IN GUJARAT, INDIA - Duration: 2:00.

It's a pleasure being here since I've always been a Valencianista.

When I was a kid I played indoor football because there was no women's football at the time in my city.

At 15 I realized that my passion was to coach so I started coaching a team of 16 year old boys,

I was 15 at the time so the school was a bit surprised, but I loved it. We won a school competition and I knew that's what I wanted to do.

I was in Miami training then I came back and I got an offer from China so I decide to pack and go there.

Now I'm in India I've been here for 3 years, I direct one of the male teams of a state. We have won 2 bronze medals

and two of our players have been able to represent the country in the national team so I'm very happy for all the work done.

He's an example of a coach for me and I also use the 4-4-2 system and I like his thinking from what I've seen he says on the interviews.

turn it over to Julia hello everyone good morning can you hear me okay

loud and clear sounds great excellent thank you and thank you so much for having me

this morning I'm really excited to share with you a project that I've been

working on for the past couple of years and I think it presents a really

interesting opportunity for librarians for trainers for anyone who's interested

in sharing information so and that project is called Cat Cat so we'll get

started here I just want to I'll share with you a picture of myself I am the

vice president of learning initiatives at Intellum which is a company

headquartered in Atlanta we provide elearning and employee engagement

solutions for companies like Google and Facebook and Pinterest and if you've

used a platform called Facebook blueprint for example this is our

product we build learning management solutions we build like a social media

tool we have a gamafication platform as well and so we've really we've been in

this space for about eighteen years and one of the things that we've seen has

been the fact that our clients need content our our clients our

organizations that provide training for their employees and in most cases the

training staff have a hard time keeping up with the amount of content that

is needed to support a full staff wide training program so kind of at the same

time that we were experiencing or helping our clients as they experienced

that problem we also realized that we had an opportunity because we find free

high quality content that enhances our clients training programs we also

realized that the collection of content that we were putting together that we

were compiling would be excellent for the rest of the world right so there's a

ton of really great content online it's one of the things that we believe in we

believe that everyone should have access to all of this free high-quality content

whether it's a TED talk or a blog post or a podcast and so when we're when we

were looking for this content for our clients and in putting that collection

together we realized that we had an opportunity to make it available for the

public and so that's what we did the problem that we saw was that people were

having a hard time finding the content that they needed online they weren't

always going to librarians they weren't always using great search strategies

they weren't always information literate necessarily and so they needed some help

in that in that area and so the platform that we built which again is called cat

cat is kind of our solution to that problem so without further ado I will

unveil Cat Cat and so I know it's it's kind of hard not to go to Cat Cat dot com

right now but I would ask that you just kind of follow along with me and and and

kind of put a pause on your curiosity because I know I would want to just go

ahead and click on Cat Cat and then visit and explore and everything so I'm

going to give you a little demo of the site a little tour

so what we've done on this site is we've compiled courses that are comprised of

content that we found from around the web here's a path that I put together on

understanding and implementing micro learning this is content that we found

from different places from so this one's from eLearning

the e-learning industry magazine here's another piece of content here on from

the e-learning coach and so essentially what these paths are these courses are

collections of these resources that we found from around the web and so I'm

going to close both of those and so learners can go through here and they

can interact with the content they can consume their content and then when

they're done they can mark it as complete one of the great things about

the site is that because it is built on the same platform that we use as our

learning management solution it is essentially a lite LMS and so learners

can use it to track their learning they can see what content they've already

interacted with they can resume where they left off which is really fantastic

and so a lot of the content that we have here is reflective of the needs of our

clients so you'll see across the top there is a

navigation bar so we've organized the content into

different topic areas management and leadership business skills training

development you can see that here again these are mainly reflective of the needs

of our clients but we also hope that they're reflective of the needs of the

public and that's something that I do want to emphasize here

that this is the platform that we've built for the public it's a passion

project it's something that my CEO had a vision for a couple of years ago he

really wanted to provide this platform where anyone could find the information

that they needed to be successful in work and in life and he wasn't sure how

to pull this platform together and so that's when they approached me I was at

the the Georgia Public Library service I was the head of training there and so so

they kind of convinced me to come over and work with them on this project to

help democratize the information that's available online and to help people find

exactly what it is they need so you can browse through here and you can see

different pieces of content this is a podcast for example we're just linking

out to the different pieces of content that are available and I'll show you in

a minute how to build a path using the site one of the things that we believe

in is that people across the world everyone has an expertise in something

and what we hope is that people will use the site to share their

expertise with the world one of the things that we've done is we've reached

out to people who are experts in their field who are influencers professors

authors even some celebrities and we've asked them to contribute some of their

favorite resources so this is a path from Alexa Carlin a nationally renowned

speaker and so you she wrote this path description she shared with us the links

that she thought would be the best ones to help someone be a public speaker and

the idea is that when someone consumes all the content in this path that they

will know more than they did more about public speaking than they did before

they started again our goal here is to help people be better at work and in

life

some of the paths from our celebrities we include links to like their Twitter

site or their their personal website and whatever the case may be so you can

close that and then let's go back to the home page we've featured content from a

lot of different people a lot of different celebrities or influencers we

call them we call them celebrities because we think that they're kind of

elevated at that level each one has a different topic that they've identified

and a different topic that they've built their path around and so whether it's

Kristen Hadid failing well or maybe the basics of b2b marketing strategy again

the idea is that someone could go through this path and and learn a little

bit more from this expert about what it is they're an expert in we put together

quite a bit of content on things like emotional intelligence and communication

and customer service because again that's something that our clients needed

one of the things that we've done is we've integrated this catalog into the

LMS of our clients so that they have access to all of this content without

having to go to cat cat I say all of that to say people can still navigate

through Cat Cat as an individual they can track their learning through my

library they can see what they're currently working on they can take a

look at some things that they've completed so on the screen you can see a

lot of content that I've either viewed or passed for example if I've completed

something and so as far as the learner is concerned I believe that there's a

lot of content here that you can use for not just

your staff but also for your your the public this is a great resource to share

if someone is looking for resources on since I landed on communication how to

be a public speaker or being assertive or managing a global team there are lots

of different resources here over a hundred different paths on all of these

different topics and so the site again is public and freely available so you

can take these links and you can share them on your site you can share them on

your social media platforms some libraries that we've worked with in the

past have included these links on a page of you know perhaps other resources

about a specific topic I feel like I've spoken kind of continuously for the past

two hours so I will go ahead and pause and see if anyone has any questions I

can't see the the chat window Courtney so okay no that's totally fine yeah I

don't see anyone typing okay well one of the things that we were finding is that

consistently across the board our clients were having issues finding

content on the same type of topics so things like hiring someone or employee

like performance reviews conducting job interviews these are topics that really

ran the span of our clients and were kind of universally needed and so again

we thought the public could really benefit from this it's not just people

who are inside an organization that we provide a service to it's it's

essentially everyone anyone in an organization probably has had an

opportunity to interview someone and so having content

like this couldn't really benefit them early on we partnered with some

libraries to put together some paths that were very library specific so

things like conducting a reference interview that was one that was fairly

popular another one was how to go through the library construction process

and I actually partnered with the public library the state agency here in Georgia

to pull together some resources that would help someone who was going through

that process maybe it was understanding design or understanding like the the

procurement process something along those lines and so you can build these

paths in different sections and have something in each section that you're

focused on specifically so this guy chester elton decided to kind of put his

content together and in these sections so why the best team wins they're coached

and encouraged their engaged and connected and so each one kind of focuses on that

with the libraries we wanted content that was focused on staff training

topics but then also on patron training topics and so we also put together some

paths on things like how to start a small business one of the things that I

saw when I was working at the library at the reference desk is that people would

have the same question kind of over and over again and so maybe it was how to

start a small business I would get that question and then I would get it again

and you know maybe six months down the road and I would have to kind of do all

that research all over again the idea with this platform is that you can put

those paths together as a guide for for a patron I almost called them a client

being put them together as a guide for a patron so that they can access us maybe

when the library is closed or you can access it and provide them with this

list of resources that is that's already been pulled together and that you can

you can then share with them and have it as a standalone I've almost like a

libguide I don't want to necessarily use that term I know a lot of people do have

Lib guides this is very similar we've gotten the question before this is very

similar but again a free tool open to the public not just library specific the

paths and I'm referencing that were library specific we ended up taking down

off the site because what we were finding is that they weren't necessarily

the the most in-demand topics they weren't necessarily the topics that

everyone wanted to see and so we did take them down but I say all of that to

let you know that they're still they're actually still on the back end like

they're still they still exist and so if you would like to see any of those

please just shoot me an email and we can also we can reactivate them if we start

to see that enough people are asking those same kind of asking for those same

kinds of resources we can pull those back up a lot of this content also again

could be used for not just staff training but then also patron training

things like how to start a startup if you had someone come in and and and had

a question about that it's great because this resource it's a list of resources

that it's already available I do want to show you how to create your own path and

I think that's really where kind of the power of the site comes in again we

believe that everyone is an expert in something and so the the idea is that

you can share that expertise with the world like that's kind of our our I

don't want to say our purpose but we what's the word I'm looking for it's

something that we feel like we owe to the world to share with other people

the areas that we were an expert in and we hope that other people will feel the

same way so if you wanted to build your own path you could do that really easily

the first thing you have to do is sign in I'm already signed in and you can

create a free account on the site so when you come to the site there will be

a login button here and you can click that and then create your own path

create your own account after that you can come here to this red plus sign and

if you click that you will come to it's just a blank course and you can create

it you can create a course on really anything that you'd like again

our purpose is to help people be better at work and in life and so all of our

content is focused on that specific it's kind of under that lens right and

so but I've seen people create paths on things like we had someone create a path

on GMOs one time which I thought was interesting we had a professor who

curated a path on he used it to share resources with his with his class after

the class was over so he just sent them the link to the path and then they could

read watch and listen all the resources that he had shared with them so if we

wanted to build a path here on say building a reference interview maybe I

would like my staff members to go through this path maybe they need a

little brush up on something related to the reference interview I also use this

for like library assistants who had never been on the desk before and so I'm

just going to type in just some gibberish here so you can give your path

a description which generally would include not just gibberish but also

learning objectives why someone would take the path what they're going to get

out of it generally just kind of your normal like course description kind of

thing you can have different sections here in the path and so maybe we're

going to do what's a reference interview give your

section a description and then the next thing you do is add activities so

activities are links there are always links at least for now although we are

talking about allowing people to do more than just a link maybe write a post for

example kind of like a blog post I found this the steps of the reference

interview I just pulled a couple things really quickly this morning so this

might not be the best resource but so I pulled this resource and I'm going to

click Add and then what the system does is it actually pulls the metadata from

this item and and then in a second it will pre populate some of the content so

it will pop up this title it will on the kind of on the back end it will pop up

the description if there is one and on this one there there wasn't one but if

we go back we can edit that activity and include a description for it so I'm

going to say the reason that I think people should read this article to give

it some context and we think that that's generally a best practice when you're

curating a path like this when you select an item giving someone an idea of

why I can't talk and write at the same time giving someone an idea of why

you've selected that piece of content for them is really beneficial A so that

they don't skip it and B so they have kind of an idea of what to look for as

they're going through so I'm gonna say this article gives a great overview we

can also specify in minutes how long the it would take to consume that content

generally I estimate the number of minutes it takes to read something for a

YouTube video this way pre-populate and so you know maybe it

might say three or four minutes so I'm just going to say three minutes here for

this article you can also specify a difficulty level which I'll show you in

a few minutes how we can kind of use that to select different things you can

also select a cover image and a preview image and you can also add some topics

so you'll see here our topics are fairly limited again we used to have like a

library catalog but for a library topic but we we took that one away it might

come back so right now I'm just gonna say this is I'm gonna say communication

for right now you can also specify the publisher the author and the published

date in the event that that information is available again it's going to pull

whatever is available from the metadata apparently there's not much here to pull

so I'm just going to say Iowa wrote this and you don't have to fill these filled

in all right so I'm going to save that and then I'm going to go back to my path

let's add another activity just to have some another URL to pull I'm gonna pull

this one from the ALA and again this one is the guidelines for behavioral

performance of reference and information service providers so and then let's pull

a video so I went ahead and I found this it's just a reference interview video I

think that a grad school had put together and that URL

alright let's look at the metadata for this one okay so I pulled the title it's got this little description here

that description doesn't wouldn't necessarily make any sense for anyone so

I'm gonna say this video.... I think that's what I said about the last one you can specify

again the duration of minutes which it went ahead and pulled and this beginner

level we have a service called Embedly that will display the activity link what

one thing that we found is that while in Embedly is fantastic at pulling some

additional metadata and actually it renders the page slowly and so we leave

this box unchecked...and I'm going to select communication... I'm going to leave this

author because I think it's hilarious then I click Save... okay so you can see

here we found a couple of items in the path already I'm gonna add a topic and

specify a difficulty level now at this point if I think that my path is done I

can add ...well I would want to add a hero image which is like the big picture at

the top and a cover art which is the picture that displays in the catalog I'm

not going to do that now and then for me I have these admin functions some things

like feature on the discover tab which will display it for our clients which I

don't want to do right now but I'm going to do it anyway so they can see it for

just a hot second... okay I think that looks good... alright and so I'm going to

submit... well right now this button says submit for review our developers are

working on a process that will allow people to just automatically publish

things we think that it's important for people to be able to publish their paths

and then be able to see them share them and be able to kind of get that instant

gratification so if I say submit for review this is what my path is going to

look like you see I didn't upload a header image so it's not very pretty

but you can you can see how it would look for the student and then these are

the links that we uploaded so here's the State Library of Iowa I'm going to

really quickly go back I'm going to edit my path and unpublish it just so that no

one else can see it surely right now Google is like why do I have this path on the

reference interview in my catalog so we don't want that to happen ...again someone

can come through here you can have your staff members read through the content

mark things as complete the videos will autocomplete so if I click on that as

you watch the video you don't need to do anything else

specifically it will just automatically realize that you're done with the video

and then mark it as complete ...and then when you're finished

with that path it will have this Banner at the top that says you passed it on

whatever date so you can go and view it in your history and you can see that you

passed this reference interview class you can also see the content that you've

added in my library which you can get to from that banner that you had seen when

you finish the path or you can get to it from this hamburger menu here so

discover is the home page ...my library is the page that has your history anything

that you've favorited anything that you have completed and anything you've

added another thing that's in this hamburger menu is the about page and so

we've put some information here about what Cat Cat is what our mission is why

we're doing it this page will change in just a few weeks so you might see

something that's a little bit different but essentially this page is just to

help people orient them to kind of what what everyday

online learning looks like right now which we don't think is is right and

then orient them to obviously to Cat Cat... in the future this page will have

information for learners and then information for curators so if you

wanted to be a curator and you wanted to contribute to the site it would have

some specific information and some training for you on how to do that right

now when you click on this plus button there's you know not necessarily a whole

lot that that tells you what to do and where to go it's fairly self-explanatory

but we'd like for it to be a little bit more user friendly that's actually a

good point that I'd like to make as well and that's that this platform has

changed dramatically since we launched it unofficially kind of like a soft

launch back in June and it's already changed so much and we have some really

big changes coming in in the next few weeks one is that people will be able to

publish without having to submit their path for review the some of the other

changes we will implement include the way that people review paths the way

that people not just publish them but also kind of the steps that they go

through in order to publish that path ok I'm gonna stop for questions here

Courtney do we have any I don't have any coming in if anyone has any questions

feel free to go ahead and type those in the chat box now I'm just kind of

curious what kind of topics are covered on those library specific paths that you

mentioned that we're kind of available in the back end... yeah so a couple

of them were here I'm actually I'm going to kind of poke through in the admin view

and some things like the reference interview was one... Oh

how to do library displays was another one that we did so conducting a

reference interview let's see what paths we have library customer service which

was another one that we had like put together for our friends in the

library world who you know we we had all been managers at a library before and so

we all had experienced kind of this need to to train some of our staff on

customer service you know it's not something that I don't know every

library is different but for us for us it was really important that our

libraries were like overly customer friendly and so like we live in the land

of chick-fil-a right where they're known for their customer service where they ...let me go

back and find that path... where people are... it's the south... you know I'm in Atlanta

you expect kind of this like southern charm and so we definitely wanted to put

personify that and make sure that we were giving people the best service that

they could have so and again kind of like over the top not that everyone

isn't like customer service friendly but for us it was just something that was

important sure we had a question so this is an LMS? and you kind of mentioned this,

it's kind of a light LMS can you kind of talk about that a little bit

yeah so I say that it's a light LMS because it does all the same things that

an LMS would do so it tracks learners progress through a course it allows a

learner to start and stop something it'll it allows a learner to you know go

back and see their history that kind of thing what it doesn't allow someone to

do is say hey I have a learner or I have these learner

can you tell me what what they've learned or what they've completed or

what they started that is kind of this... that's what we build for our clients and

so if facebook wanted to know hey what what courses have people completed we

can absolutely tell them that they can run a report to see just see what their

learners have completed Google same thing Google can go through and say you

know what what have people gone through and it gives them those really deep

analytics on this those analytics aren't available because it's not an enterprise

level solution it's designed for the public it's designed for the individual

and so the analytics are at that level so again if I wanted to see what I've

completed that information is available to me but wouldn't be available to

anyone else so that's when I say light that's yeah kind of I mean... okay we have

another question when the review process goes away for content submission will

the content still be vetted somehow yes that is a good question so one of the

things that we're doing is we are getting rid of that submit for review

process so when we get rid of that that submission process one of the things

that we're doing is we're actually working with people that we're calling

topic experts so people who have expertise in in that specific area again

it could be an author a professor but someone who has some credentials and

some experience in the area we're having them review the paths after they're

submitted which is scary for us to think about the fact that anyone can submit

anything but we're having people review these paths after they're submitted and

then identify the ones that are the best and so they'll be able to mark them as

featured or mark them as like kind of reviewed by a by an expert and then

you'll be able to see that information next to the path

maybe it will have like a little badge or a little picture that's like a little

checkmark kind of like Twitter does with their verified profiles that would be

like a verified path... we have another question here

have you noticed heavier usage on mobile or desktop ...so right now we it's

optimized for desktop our ....we tend to design mobile first and any of our other

platforms are really fantastic on on mobile

Cat Cat because of the nature of what it is it works on mobile but if you can

imagine um you you're you're looking at Cat Cat and then you click on this and

then it takes you to this page and then it opens up a new tab and then you read

that article or like listen to that listen to that podcast and then you've

got to close it and then it goes back to that page it's not necessarily the best

mobile experience and we say that knowing that we need to do some work in

that area some of our clients are essentially

mobile only Waffle House actually it's a great example of that they have people

who are out in the field and the only time they can learn is when they're on

the job but they're on their feet they're in the restaurant they don't

have a computer in front of them and so learning mobily is the only way

that they can do it and so we see really high mobile usage from them I think that

we would see high mobile usage from Cat Cat if like once if it were optimized for

that experience... we have another question do you have any advice on maintaining

the content ...so one of the things that we do is we contract with a service that

provides us information about dead links so that's something that's really

important for us we also have a feature where you can report maybe you can flag

something that says okay you know what contains broken links or you

the content is incorrect we review these flags so we're relying on the community

to tell us if the content is old or if the content is no good and so we do go

and review those we also look a lot of people will add stars or leave reviews

for specific links and so that will show us that that will give us an indicator

that's a signal for us that something is something is amiss the other thing that

we do is we we we regularly go through I wish that there was another way to do

this but we regularly manually go through each path and we'll identify

resources that maybe are out-of-date or could be better I I just found some

articles that I added to a path that I had curated maybe a year ago and these

were really good articles that I just like I hadn't found when I was doing the

original curation and so I just I can go in and you can do this as well you can

just visit your path that you'd like to change and then edit edit that path and

then it will bring up all of these different options for you so you can you

can edit that path if you'd like but yeah that's a really great question and

I wish that there was a way to do it where it wasn't manual ...ok we have one

more here any thoughts on converting cat cat into an app... yeah so because this is

our passion project there are so many things that we want to do but it's not

bringing in any money so it's hard to justify spending a lot of development

time on doing things like building an app like we really want to build an app

we really want it to be mobile friendly unfortunately we have it even though we

have an entire team of people who are dedicated to building apps and to making

sites mobile-friendly they're focused on things like you know like like blueprint

or like Academy for ads and so there are apps for both of those and

if we... if they have some spare time hopefully they can build one for Cat Cat

that's another I think ... I think that's another

important point as well is that because this is our passion project it there are

some features and functions that we would love to have and we just it just

hasn't happened yet because because of the fact that it's something that we we

get designated development time kind of towards the end of the quarter when

they're wrapping when our developers are wrapping up some other things that that

they had that they needed to do and then they've got some time to work on the

things that things that they want to do and so there are so many different

features and functions that we would like to see and most of them have come

from either our own use of the platform or from people who we've reached out to

who have used the platform and we've you know just ask them like what what would

you like to see that kind of user feedback has been really valuable for us

and so if you do see something that you think would would be better we would

definitely love to have that information and and be able to kind of put that on

our roadmap I say roadmap with ...like it's not it's... less of a... it's more of a wish

list then a roadmap but let's see what other questions do you have

we have another one coming in... what about copyright issues can we link anything we

find on the Internet to a path... yeah that is another really great question um

there are no copyright issues because you're linking out we're not storing

anything on our site we're not embedding anything we are

linking to the... so like the resource itself and because we're linking to ...to

that resource again we don't have to worry about copyright issues we if

anything people should be happy that we're driving traffic to their site and

they should be happy that we're featuring their site

in a way that is reaching millions of people so so far we haven't we haven't

had anyone complain but I don't think that they would again because it's

something that's it's good for them... and it looks like that's it for questions

okay well I thought I would take a few minutes and just talk to you a little

bit about kind of how I put paths together and we've had a few more

minutes left and so I wanted to share with you a process that I use and I call

it the Adcie model if you are like me have an instructional design geek you

might know the Addie model so the Addie model is this iterative process that you

use to build a course so analyze design develop implement and evaluate and so I

took out the development step for that and added in this curate step in order

to build a course that that is based off of curated content and so when we look

at the curation process it's something that I think it's something that we do

as librarians as library staff on a regular basis

we do it kind of without necessarily without explaining how we do it or

there's a certain set of skills that we have as library staff that other people

in say corporate America don't have so that we've that we've just developed

over the years right so we are able to pull together resources we're able to

evaluate those resources in a way that that that makes that makes sense we're

able to look at things like the authority of a piece of content the

validity the current data coverage so all of these different characteristics

of a piece of content these are things that I look at when I am looking for

content to add to the system and it's it's just like building a

collection out of weblinks you're pulling them together you're evaluating

them you're organizing them in a way that makes sense I like to say that

we're building a cohesive instructional narrative we are putting the content

together in a sequence that makes sense for the learner and so you know we want

to include introductory content at the beginning we want to include more

intermediate stuff in the middle more advanced stuff at the end we want to

make sure that different topics are explained earlier on say if something is

mentioned in a later article do we have something earlier that explains what

that is and so when I say cohesive instructional narrative that's kind of

what I mean like does it tell that story and so we want to organize it in that

way I want to go back to Cat Cat really quickly and just mention let's see-oh

mention that you can go to all topics and so you can actually browse

everything that we have curated so far and so far this is all content that has

been you know community developed or comes from our celebrities or that comes

from our our own stuff so it's all stuff that's been vetted it's

all stuff that's been evaluated I think that our developers will be able to

release their the new like workflow for for curation so that you'll be able to

submit something without review I think that they'll be able to do that either

this week or next week and we have releases on Thursdays so that's when the

site will change and so again you might see some changes tomorrow or next week

if you visit the site and you start to curate you might see that you don't have

to submit for review that button will actually say publish ... I do want to

just answer any other questions that you guys have about the site about our

purpose about why we're doing this if you have any questions go ahead and type

those in the chat box I'm not seeing anything come in now while we do that

and as we're wrapping up I'm gonna go ahead and put up your Leu link on the

page here if you have any questions that require Julia to go through some things

on online I'll switch back but I want to make sure everybody gets their LEU...there

are at the top you can go ahead and download the LEU and then there's also a

web link to a survey monkey there about in the middle of the page if you

could please fill that out let us know how we're doing and then there at the

bottom is Julia's contact information if you have any questions maybe you think

about after the presentation feel free to get with her Julia and I will stay

here in the presentation or in the Adobe Connect room in case any questions come

up for a few more minutes here otherwise make sure you do get your LEU and

fill out that survey for us

Hi!

That's Anna.

I'm one of the experts in the Dropship Club team and I'm glad that you're watching

this video.

It means that you're already a part of the community of dropshipping business owners

and probably are also a member of our dropship club.

If you're not, join any time.

It's free.

Today's topic is how to skyrocket your sales during Cyber Monday.

Your potential customers are on their way to start shopping.

They open their browsers to seek for some good gifts for themselves and for their nearest

and dearest.

Do you know which of the avenues of promotion is my favorite?

I'll give you a hint.

It starts with Google and ends with Shopping.

Yeap, Google Shopping campaigns are the best especially these days.

When people put their wishes in the search bar and then click to "Shopping" they

see merchants' Shopping cards consisting of pictures, prices, and product titles.

To launch your shopping campaigns in just a day you only need to follow our guide and

Google Merchant add-on for WordPress made by AliDropship Team.

Check the links in the description.

Moreover, get ready for these potential customers.

Make a subscription form on your site to have an opportunity to send your email letters

to the visitors or set up an Abandoned Cart add-on, so, you will be able to recover these carts.

Of course, you also need to plan your advertising campaigns for the cold and warm traffic ahead of time.

Cold traffic includes those who've never known or seen your store and products and

warm one includes the people who've already connected with your store.

Retarget past visitors and customers.

Use Facebook tools to compile all these types of campaigns and don't forget to be creative.

What's the better way to promote your holiday sales than with gorgeous graphics and visuals?

If you need help with planning your ads, check out our services on dropship.club website

to be ahead of your competitors and get fully ready for this high season!

You can do this using your emails and social media accounts.

Of course, you should upload some appealing banners on your website too.

Tease your customers with emails of what's to come, post sneak peeks of upcoming sales

on social media, and start piquing the curiosity of your customers.

We can create follow up sequences for you too, find our service on our dropship.club website.

As things get busy, writing blog content will be the last thing on your mind.

That's why you should start writing your blog posts in advance!

In this case, Google will have time to scan your posts and begin attracting organic traffic.

Yeap, for hassle-free sales!

It would be even better if you create a gift guidepost on your store.

What should you include on your gift guide page?

You might consider naming your page according to the chosen niche, for example, "10 Gift

Ideas for Cat Lovers".

Create collections of your products to include in your gift guide.

Is your store ready for the high season?

Are you sure?

If you have some uncertainty about that, then check your store yourself or get our Store

Review service.

We will make a detailed list of improvements for your store and give you our recommendations.

You will see the example of a store review on our channel too.

So, you can check if your store is ready for good performance!

And yeah,

it's reported that U.S. retailers alone earned a record $7.9 billion in revenue

on Black Friday 2017.

Cyber Monday brought in $6.6 billion in online sales in 2017.

Sweet numbers, right?

5 Ways to Put Your Metabolism into High Gear|HFE♪ - Duration: 6:09.

5 Ways to Put Your Metabolism into High Gear

You need to increase your metabolism to improve your overall health and lose weight effectively. A slow metabolism makes it hard to lose weight.

Below are some ways to get your metabolism running at its max speed.

By following these tips, you can increase metabolism along with the chemical processes in every cell.

A faster metabolism can help you lose weight faster and burn more calories, even when you're not involved in any kind of physical activity.

This is known as the basal metabolism, which is the amount of energy your body consumes to function throughout the day.

Your body needs more calories to maintain muscle than it does to maintain fat.

Thus, your metabolism will increase by having a large amount of muscle mass and a reduced amount fat.

In order for this to happen you must exercise on a regular basis and have a healthy diet.

Build muscle Strength training is necessary to help build muscle and it's equally as important as aerobic exercise.

Therefore, you should lift weights by using gym equipment or doing push-ups and sit-ups.

You should do them along with aerobic exercises such as running, biking or swimming.

Even when you're not moving around, our muscles burn calories because they demand high energy levels.

So, by increasing you muscle mass, you can speed up your basal metabolism, which in turn enables the body to burn more calories throughout the day.

The importance of HIIT HIIT is a workout based on high-intensity intervals.

HIIT training has you alternate between high-intensity intervals when completing an aerobic activity.

To give an example, you can sprint in intervals or cycle at max speed.

Exercising at high-intensity levels is a great way to burn calories.

Although, regular aerobic exercise isn't enough to use up energy because your body gets used to the routine and burns less calories.

Thus, the high-intensity intervals in HIIT training force your body to use even more energy.

Eat frequently Reducing the time between meals is good for speeding up the metabolism.

If you go too long without eating, your blood sugar levels drop, which in turn produce tiredness and a slower metabolism.

So, eating more often will help your digestive system become more active for longer periods of time and more often, which will help increase your metabolism.

A handful of nuts or a piece of fruit every couple hours is enough.

Likewise, eating frequently reduces your appetite, which allows you to have more control over your portions.

By doing so, you can reduce your calorie intake and keep your metabolism running quickly.  4.

Add a kick to your dishes Spicy foods, such as chili, cayenne or peppers, contain a substance called capsaicin.

This component is the reason why you sweat when eating spicy foods.

However, there's more: Capsaicin helps reduce body fat by helping the body kill off immature fat cells.

Eating spicy foods more often can help with weight loss and burn fat.

Prioritize proteins Our digestive system needs more time and energy to decompose and absorb high protein foods than it does with high-fat or sugary foods.

In fact, your body needs to burn 20-30% of the calories that it gets from proteins in order to absorb them.

On the other hand, carbohydrates only demand 5-15% of the energy consumed for absorption.

Likewise, your body stores foods that contain high amounts of carbohydrates as fat, while proteins are used to create muscle mass.

A high protein diet can help you build muscle, just like it was mentioned at the beginning of the list.
