Destiny 2 PC vs Console - Duration: 3:43.

Hello, this is Mack, for Pixel Enemy, here with an episode of Versus.

After playing the Destiny 2 beta on both console and PC, I feel like I've got enough experience

under my belt to make a video like this.

What is this video you ask?

Well, it's Destiny 2 PC vs Console.

Let's crack on!

First up is the PC version, which comes packed with an assortment of graphics options that

make the game look incredible.

These include support for: 4K with HDR enabled, 21:9 aspect ratio for widescreen monitors,

an uncapped frame-rate, and adjustable field of view.

Diving deep into the options menu will let you tweak specific visual effects to find

a nice balance between good looks and performance.

Happily, with an Nvidia GPU and the latest drivers downloaded, the Destiny 2 beta ran

like a dream.

After years of playing the original Destiny at 30fps, it was overwhelming to experience

the game on my 144Hz monitor.

That's almost 5 times the number of frames per second than even the Xbox One X can output.

While there's plenty of games out there that come to PC in a shoddy state, Destiny

2 has been ported incredibly well, if the beta is anything to go by.

It's very well-optimized and even budget systems can up the quality and still maintain

60fps.

Using a keyboard and mouse instead of the aim-assist heavy PS4 and Xbox One pads is

also very refreshing.

And it's good to see rebindable keys as well as many toggle options.

Overall, the PC beta was like a super smooth, super good looking version of the console

beta, with a great deal of options that will make PC gamers very happy.

Now we turn to the consoles, which boast some exclusive perks of their own.

The elephant in the room is the release date, with Destiny 2 on consoles launching on September

6th.

PC players, on the other hand, will have to wait until October 24th.

That is some serious early access for console players!

Another perk of playing on consoles, if you've played the original Destiny, is that progress

carries over to the next game.

Sure, your level is reset, but your character will return and you'll be gifted some kind

of reward.

It might be something small, like an Emblem, but still, this is only available on console.

Then there's the timed-exclusive content coming to PS4.

We saw this with the first game, and it's happening again with the sequel.

PlayStation Destiny 2 owners will experience a selection of new content a full year ahead

of any other platforms.

The first PS4 content drop will contain an exclusive Strike, Ship, Exotic Weapon, and

PVP map.

PC (and Xbox One) players will have to wait until at least Fall 2018 to get their hands

on this content.

The PC's main strength is that shines bright with a high frame-rate *and* higher resolution

support.

And while the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X will support 4K in some upscaled manner, they simply

won't compare to a more powerful system.

And sure, PCs generally cost more (especially with the current price hikes on graphics cards,

RAM, and SSDs), but for the objectively better-looking experience, a computer is the way to go.

But with that said, for 4K HDR, the hype is real right now, and the newer consoles support

that.

And while I would take 60fps above 4K HDR any day of the week, some gamers are happy

making the sacrifice for crispier visuals.

For me, playing Destiny 2 on PC was an incredible experience.

After pouring hundreds of hours into the original on PS4, seeing the game's universe running

smoothly was a game changer.

Is it worth waiting a month and a half for the game, and even longer for the timed exclusive

content?

Well, I'd say yes, but it's going to be tough!

After Discovering Gov. Workers Would Get A 26% Pay Raise, Trump Does The Unthinkable… | Top Stories - Duration: 2:37.

President Donald Trump wasn't about to let taxpayers fund a massive 26% pay raise for

government employees.

In a newly-announced plan, the commander in chief dropped that whopper of a raise all

the way down to a manageable 1.9 percent pay increase, continuing to give relief to taxpayer

dollars.

Trump told Congress of this new plan in a letter, saying that that he reducing the increase

drastically because "the adjustments that would otherwise take effect are inappropriate."

TDC reports:

Under the current law, the the pay schedule that governs federal employee salaries would

raise pay in 2018 by an average of 26 percent and cost taxpayers $26 billion, according

to the White House.

"A pay increase of this magnitude is not warranted, and federal agency budgets could

not accommodate such an increase while still maintaining support for key federal priorities

such as those that advance the safety and security of the American people," Trump

wrote of the current plan.

The law Trump references that mandates pay increases is the 1990 Federal Employees Pay

Comparability Act.

Previous presidents have routinely overridden the law, but Trump's statements are stronger

than the language that former President Barack Obama used.

"We must maintain efforts to put our Nation on a sustainable fiscal course," Trump wrote.

Federal employee unions and advocacy groups opposed Trump's plan, and would favor a

larger increase.

"While federal employees will appreciate the raise, an average increase of 1.9 percent

is the minimum required to prevent federal pay from declining further, and more rapidly,

below market than the current 35 percent wage disparity between public- and private-sector

wages," said Richard Thissen, president of the National Active and Retired Federal

Employees Association.

Tony Reardon, president of the National Treasury Employees Union, which supports a 3.2 percent

federal wage increase, believes the increase is not good enough.

"NTEU believes this figure is too low especially in light of the fact that federal law calls

for a 1.9 percent across-the-board raise and private sector wages are growing at an even

faster rate," Reardon said in a statement.

"Add to that, current proposals attacking the federal retirement system would result

in a pay cut for federal workers."
