3 Ways to Blend Acrylic Paints Tutorial for beginners by JM Lisondra - Duration: 4:05.
hello everyone my name is John Magne Lisondra and today I'm going to demonstrate on how
to blend the acrylics my own ways so this are the most common ways that I blend using
acrylic paints.
And the first one will be the wet-on-wet technique, so in this technique we are going to use two
different values of colors like this blue here so I just paint it here
and all you have to do is just add the other value of color here which has different value
like the lighter blue color and all you have to do is to meet the two colors at the center
in which we are going to blend it together to achieve a smooth fuse between the two colors
okay. so as you see guys I am putting it or fusing it at the center to have a smoother
blend.
okay.
So that's it the wet-on-wet technique.
The second one will be the wet-on-dry technique in which as you see guys I have already here
the blue background color which is already dry and on this technique guys we only need
to cover it with the desired color that we are going to blend the background which is
the as you see on the screen is the lighter blue color so all we have to do is blend it
until we get the perfect blend between the two colors, the perfect fuse between the two
colors. and this technique guys good when you have a longer time painting just like
when you paint the sky and all you have to do is just paint the blue color first then
you just have to add the lighter color later after the paint dries.
so that's it guys that will be the second method. and the last one for me will be tone
one color blending or glazing in which you have to use one color only like this blue
here and then on the edge of the color you just have to blend it using water guys but
I don't recommend using water, you need to use the glazing medium because water will
lessen the consistency of the acrylic binder in which that is not good for conservation
of your painting and I don't recommend it.
So just use the glazing medium if you have so water guys.
You can water but I tell you that it will have a problem in the future.
Ok that's it guys, that will be the 3 ways in color blending using acrylic, so if you

Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates.
Michelle, we are enjoying some fine conditions, but seems like Jeju Island is experiencing
the opposite.
Yes.
Typhoon Talim will get closer to Japan by tomorrow morning.
By Saturday, it will get near Jeju island, indirectly affecting the region including
the east and southern coast with heavy rain until Sunday.
The amount of precipitation is expected to be more than 120 millimeters.
The rest of the nation will see clear skies tomorrow, with Seoul waking up to 17 degrees
Celsius while Daegu and Busan begin the day at 17 and 20 degrees, respectively.
During the day, Seoul and Gwangju will top out at 27 degrees, while Busan will hit 26
degrees.
Besides Jeju Island and the southeastern regions, we can expect nice early autumn conditions
this weekend with mild daily highs.

Support for THAAD grows but concerns continue - Duration: 4:37.
After much debate and delays, the stationing of THAAD anti missile batteries is complete
in South Korea.
Mainly driven by the latest set of provocations from up North, public approval towards the
American defense system jumped up significantly.
However, concerns still remain over its effectiveness and value.
Kwon Jang-ho delves deeper into the issue for our News Features tonight.
On September 4th, one day after North Korea carried out its sixth nuclear test, South
Korea's environment ministry gave the green light to deploy four more THAAD launchers
in addition to the two already installed in Seongju earlier this year.
President Moon called it a decision that could no longer be delayed in order to prevent war
breaking out on the peninsula.
However, when the launchers were rolled out last week, they were met with resistance.
Residents and civic groups from Seongju and the surrounding regions have long expressed
opposition to the deployment.
(SOV ) "Withdraw THAAD and bring in peace "
"Peace agreement, not THAAD agreement "
(Stand-up) "This a daily candlelight protest being held
by local Seongju residents.
It's been taking place every day for over 14 months, ever since the THAAD deployment
was announced."
Residents initially protested against THAAD, citing concerns that the system's powerful
radar would be harmful to people and the environment.
Although the environment ministry has declared the system safe, residents remain skeptical,
and they now also question the system's effectiveness, as well as how it affects relations with the
North.
(Korean) "Recent reports say that the radar has no
effect, that nothing has been detected, but logically that doesn't make any sense.
They say we should be careful of microwave ovens and even cellphones, but not this?
It doesn't sound right."
(Korean) "We've come to believe that THAAD is a weapon
that South Korea doesn't need, and one that won't be able to protect us from the North's
missiles.
Having a greater U.S. military presence in South Korea will only increase the risk of
war."
But as North Korea ratchets up its missile tests and nuclear weapons development, public
support for THAAD is growing.
A recent poll showed that 80-percent of respondents were in favor of the deployment... a significant
rise from just three months before when another poll showed the nation split, with approval
at only around 50 percent.
(Korean) "Before THAAD we had no way of intercepting
a North Korean ballistic missile.
The one battery in Seongju cannot protect all of Korea, but it will be very effective
in the 150 kilometer radius.
If we can secure additional means to protect Seoul and the western areas, we should be
able to withstand at least one wave of nuclear strikes."
However other repercussions have some questioning whether it's been worth it.
There are concerns that THAAD will only serve to drive a bigger wedge between the two Korea's.
It has also had a devastating effect on relations between South Korea and China.
Beijing has long opposed THAAD, concerned with the geopolitical implications of powerful
U.S. military hardware so close to its borders.
In retaliation, Chinese authorities have imposed unofficial economic sanctions on South Korea,
costing billions of dollars in industries ranging from tourism to cosmetics and agriculture.
(Korean) North Korea's foreign strategy is to disrupt
the relationship between South Korea, the U.S. and China.
The Moon administration's decision to deploy THAAD might have somewhat strengthened the
Korea-U.S. alliance, but the relationship with China has broken down, and has also increased
conflict between the U.S. and China.
I would say 70-percent of North Korea's strategy has been achieved through this action.
But with the full THAAD battery now having been deployed and operational, the South Korean
government have made their bed and will have to deal with the consequences.
(Stand-up) "Behind me is the entrance to golf course
where the THAAD battery has been deployed.
The Moon administration has assured that it is a temporary measure, but with tensions
between the two Korea's heightening, no end date is in sight.
And whatever security it does provide, its political implications, home and abroad, means
while it remains here it will continue to be a hot button issue.
