Hey what's up guys , shark jungle is here, In this tutorial I'm gonna to show you how
to install android Oreo Beta on your device Eligible devices are the Pixel, Pixel XL,
Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, and the Nexus Player.
I'g gonna do the steps on Nexus 6P but I believe they are the same for pixel devices
just remember that this is still an early beta build of Android O which means there
will be bugs and things might be broken ,--that's why I will do another tutorial on how to revert
back to nougat so if you are interested plz don't forget to subscribe
I'm gonna start with an easy and safe way to get the update
Go to the Google settings menu on your Android device.
You can do this by going to Settings then > Google.
Hit the three dot menu, and then select Help & feedback.
Hit the three dot menu again, and then select View in Google Play Store.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the Become a beta tester section, and then tap
the I'm In button.
wait for a couple minutes to get the update as you see I got android Oreo beta update
go ahead and start the download then install the update , there is no need to backup your
date cause this update won't affect any of it but you can do the backup as precaution,
so this was the easy way and the safest way to get the update
there is another way if you don't want to be a part of the beta program or you didn't
get the update but you still want the upgrade then you have to do some extra steps and your
phone will be wiped off so make sure to do a backup, you also may lose you warranty anyway
let's do it I'm gonna do the steps on windows so if you
have mac or Linux make sure to follow the steps in the video description
the first thing you need to do is go to your device settings , about device , hit the build
number a couple times until you become a developer , now go back and you should see developer
options tab make sure to turn on OEM unlock and USB debugging
Now connect your device to the PC and install the drivers for your device, if you didn't
do it before then follow my steps --first download your device drivers and unzip
it , you will find the link in the video description right click on my computer ,Click on manage
,then go to device manager , under other devices you should see your device
now right click and update driver software , then browse for the driver software folder
in your computer hit OK to install the driver and you are done
Now time to unlock the bootloader and install android Oreo
download Android SDK Platform-Tools and the firmware zip files and make sure to download
the right file for your device, all the links are in the video description
Now unzip all files in the same folder and this is important , If you didn't do that
you won't be able to install the firmware open firmware folder
hold shift on your keyboard then right click then select open command here
type ADB reboot bootloader or use your device combination to boot into bootloader, what
ever you want for now I'm gonna use the combination
press and Hold the power and volume down buttons until you see bootloader screen
Type fast-boot flashing unlock then hit enter now you should this message on your device
press the power button to confirm that you want to unlock the bootloader and this step
will wipe everything on your device to start the firmware installation type flash-all
then hit enter --give it a couple minutes to push the installation
files into your device then your device will reboot and you should
see this message as soon as your bootloader is unlocked so don't worry about that but
if you want to get rid of it you have to lock your bootloader again , you can do that using
the command fast boot flashing lock and it's better to do it after the installation immediately
because it will wipe your device again now as you see the installation is finished
and here is android Oreo Now You can enjoy the new features of android
Oreo A good place to start with is the settings
menu as it became more obvious and it has been refined from what we saw before
the quick settings area now has a white background and you can arrange them as before there is
also some changes in settings icon location and the date as well anyway it's not a problem
for me
Google said that Android Oreo is two times faster than before and battery life has been
improved but to be sure about that I have to test it for a couple days , I will make
a speed test very soon between android Oreo and android nougat to see the speed difference
between both versions so stay tuned
I hope the tutorial was helpful if so plz don't forget the like button and
subscribe to my channel to get more videos and news about Android , Thank you for watching
peace
