Hi this is Vijaya & welcome to Vijaya's recipes.

Festival of Navratri begins with lot of happiness, worship of goddess Durga, Garba Raas, Dandiya Raas

Some devotes observe Navratri Vrat/Fast for constitutive nine days.

So today we'll be making a Navratri Special Fasting Recipe "Rajgira Thepla"

So let's make Rajgira Thepla which is very easy to make and turned out very tasty.

To make Rajgira Thepla we've taken 2 Cup Amarnath Flour (Rajgira)

Warm water, 2 Boiled & Peeled Potatoes

3 tbsp Clarified Butter

Since this is a fasting recipe, we'll be using 1 tsp Rock Salt

1 tsp White Sesame Seeds

1/2 Cup Yogurt, 1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves (Optional)

1 tsp Grated Ginger, 1 tsp Cumin Seeds, 2 Chopped Green Chillies

So let's make Rajgira Thepla/Paratha

To make Rajgira Thepla, firstly we'll prepare dough.

Put 2 Cup Amarnath Flour in a big bowl

Adding Rock Salt

Cumin Seeds

White Sesame Seeds

Grated Ginger

Chopped Green Chillies

Coriander Leaves (Optional), in case you don't eat in fasting, avoid it

Mix it well

Grate Potatoes in it

We've grate the potatoes in it, mix it well

Adding Yogurt

Mix it well

Adding 3 tbsp Clarified Butter

Mix it well

Dough is already soft hence we'll not add water in it

Unless the dough becomes dry, then only we'll be using water

Dough is prepared, let it rest for 20 mins

Dough is set after 20 mins, now we'll prepare its balls

Coat the ball with Amarnath Flour

Also dust the rolling plate with Amarnath Flour

Flatten the dough like chapati with your palm

Since this dough is generally very soft and we can't flatten it with rolling pin

Hence we'll be rolling it with the hand

We've heat up the non stick pan and we'll be cooking the Thepla on this

Let's prepare the remaining Theplas

Apply Clarified Butter on the top

Flip the Thepla

Rajgira Thepla is ready, let's take it out in the plate

Let's cook the remaining Theplas.

Apply Clarified Butter on its top and flip it

Apply Clarified Butter on the other side too

Rajgira Theplas are ready, we'll serve it with Curd

BREAKING NEWS North Korea's technology much better than Pakistan's: Dr Qadeer - Duration: 2:05.

Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan on Monday said North Korea's technology is much better than Pakistan's.

During a telephonic interview with BBC Urdu, the founder of Pakistan's nuclear programme ruled

out any help from Islamabad to Pyongyang in this regard.North Korea was self-reliant in the nuclear field because of its highly qualified group of

scientists, he said. Dr Qadeer revealed he was in North Korea twice under a missile programme, where he found that they had much better quality

than Pakistan. "Their scientists are highly capable, and most of

them have studied in Russia." Russia and China would never leave North Korea

alone, he claimed, recalling the two countries' support for Vietnam during its 20-year war with the United States.

When asked if North Korea got any assistance from Pakistan's nuclear programme, Dr Qadeer

completely rejected the notion. "It's out of the question. Their overall technology is better than ours. We have the same old and conventional

technology. We never saw their facilities not ever discussed the programme," he insisted.

However, he said Pakistan's association with North Korea for the missile programme was common knowledge. "In fact, the Pakistani

government itself announced that we were in contact with North Korea."Pyongyang successfully tested a modern hydrogen bomb for

a long-range missile on September 3. According to Dr Qadeer, North Korea's hydrogen bomb has the capacity to destroy any city within minutes.

"Hydrogen bombs are much more powerful than atom bombs. For instance, an atom bomb may

destroy the area in the radius of 1 to 2 kilometres, but a hydrogen bomb can devastate an entire city," he said.

Idol Star Athletics Championships has been delayed once again. After all, it comes to no surprise when considering the fact that the popularity of the TV show was questionable amongst K-Pop fans.

And despite having gone through production changes due to a large-scale strike and internal complications, MBC stubbornly attempted to air the program. But once again, it has been revealed that the show will be on hold.

It appears now that they have no choice but to accept that the ostracized show was evidently not the best idea after attempting to force the program to air even after the strike.

While this would show as a good sign for K-Pop fans who are not so fond of the program, it is yet a little too early to ensure that celebrations are in order.

MBC officials have stated on Monday, the 4th of September, 'Airing of Idol Star Athletics Championships scheduled for both the 4th and 11th of September has been canceled.

But the program itself wont be discontinued entirely yet and we are informing the cast of the situation.'.

The inevitable question at hand is why MBC remains insistent on continuing the show despite coming across multiple problems repeatedly. The reason is quite simple.

From their perspective, the program itself has managed to attract considerable interest through viewer ratings during the national holidays. The program has achieved an 11% view rate this year and is ranked as the number one show amongst holiday specials.

It is all good business by the end of the day and from a company's standing point, it wouldn't make much sense to discontinue something that brings profit.

However, a high view rate being the solitary reason for sustaining a show that is criticized by fans of the cast doesn't make matters any better. In fact, demands for the show to be discontinued have increased just as well.

The biggest reason was that the fans disliked watching their idols sustain injuries during the show, causing some idols to have complications with their career. Furthermore, the program demanded long hours of strenuous recording in a controlled environment.

In response to complaints and criticism, MBC  made some effort to decrease the possibility of idols taking injuries by altering certain parts of the sports program, notably wrestling and indoor soccer.

The fate of Idol Star Athletics Championships is still uncertain at this point. While it possesses a high view rate, it lacks genuine support from K-Pop idol fans.

Chusok is just around the corner, but it is difficult to assume right away that the program, which held the spotlight during the national holidays would simply come to a halt.
