Youtube daily Sep 6 2017

Hey YouTube, Jim here!

Welcome to Top10Archive!

Everybody's favorite tech conglomerate is more than just the developer of the world's

most popular search engine – it's an empire of gadgets and gizmos and is always looking

to the future!

Through the semi-secretive Google X, now known simply as X, and its parent company Alphabet,

Inc., Google is ready to change the future with these ten incredible products!

Before we get started, do you know what else is incredible?

If you subscribe and click the bell, you can be notified automatically whenever we upload

a new video.

At the end, if you enjoyed the video, then give it a like and leave a comment because

we love hearing from and engaging in great conversations with you!

10.

Self-Driving Cars It seems like every company is on the self-driving

bandwagon and, in 2009, even Google began working on its own self-driving automobile.

Seven years later, the project was placed under Waymo, Alphabet Inc's own autonomous

car development company, to go up against manufacturers like Tesla Motors and Toyota.

Each company has its own version of the self-driving implementation, now it's just a matter of

who will launch en mass to the public.

Though Tesla may be ahead of the game, Waymo is still working through kinks with a hopeful

market release in 2020.

9.

Google Glass Yes, Google Glass isn't a "new" concept

in the sense that we haven't seen it before.

In fact, it saw public sales in 2014 before being pulled from development due to customer

criticism and legal concerns.

That doesn't mean Google Glass is dead, however, and you can bet you'll be seeing

it re-emerge anew.

According to Tony Fadell, the former Apple exec heading the project, Google Glass will

be re-released when he deems it absolutely "perfect."

8.

Cancer-Detecting Pill The battle against cancer is one that many

companies have opted to take on, Google being one of them.

Within the labs of X, Google researchers started working on a pill full of magnetic particles

that would travel a patient's bloodstream in search of afflicted cells.

Acting as a detailed road map to the human body, the particles would transmit data back

to a wearable sensor for real-time reports on cancer development or remission.

Revealed in 2014, the pill was projected for real-time use within a decade.

7.

Google Brillo and Wave Joining in on the concept of the Internet

of Things or the inter-networking of our devices and abodes, Google aims to introduce Brillo.

The operating system, believed to be launching under Android, will work alongside Weave to

allow devices within your home to talk with one another.

While Brillo serves to redefine the current interface of the Internet of Things, Weave

will expand the concept beyond just appliance to smartphone communication.

Google wants everything in your home to talk to and function off one another, creating

a seamless smart home experience.

6.

Google Wing Though Amazon has already launched Amazon

Prime Air, Google wants to encroach on the territory in a more philanthropic way.

Revealed in 2014, rather than offer air drop delivery for customers in need of their immediate

shopping fix, Google's Project Wing, developed in the secretive X Labs, is designed for the

intention of emergency relief drops.. but shoppers will also be able to benefit from

the service.

At its unveiling, Wing weighed approximately 18 lb (8.5 kg), but could only manage a total

of 22lb (10kg), so plan to shop light.

5.

Space Elevator No, this really isn't a play on words.

It really is an elevator that would travel through Earth's atmosphere to an anchoring

point somewhere in space.

The concept emerged in 1895 with Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, who found inspiration

in the Eiffel Tower.

Google is just one of several companies that want to realize this game-changing idea, but

the project was put on hold when it was determined no one had manufactured carbon nanotubes or

the strong carbon-based material needed for cabling, longer than 1 meter.

4.

Talking Shoe Personally, we think far too many things talk

to us these days.

There's Siri, Cortana, Google Assistant, Alexa… and how can we forget just people

in general.

So we're a little on the fence about shoes that will not just talk to us, but also make

us feel bad about our inactivity.

Revealed in 2013 as part of Google's Art, Copy, Code, an initiative to merge new technologies

with existing brands, the talking shoe can serve as a rather rude motivational coach

or, as it's intended purpose, appeal to large brands like Nike and the athletes associated

with them.

3.

Google Smart Contact Lens Consider this the new age of wearable technology.

Just as the name implies, the project is a contact lens with a rather specific purpose

- testing blood glucose levels in diabetics.

Rather than deal with pesky and inconvenient tests, the lens will be outfitted with sensors

that can test glucose levels through tears and offer an early warning via small LED lights.

Google also aims to link the innovative lens with a hand-held monitor where data can be

transmitted and read in real time.

2.

Makani Power In 2013, Google joined the search for the

most viable means of clean energy when it acquired Makani Power.

Within the X labs, the Makani team produced an airborne wind turbine known as the energy

kite that, like a fixed wind turbine, would circle the air, using the wind to produce

electricity to power an attached grid.

The Makani team aims to replace towering turbines, which are built as tall as 393' (120 m),

and provide a lower-cost, easier-to-install solution.

One kite, at least of the current design, is expected to produce 600 kW of power.

1.

Project Loon This ambitious project within the X Labs aims

to launch high-altitude balloons outfitted with the capability to create a wireless network

accessible by even the most remote regions.

As the name implies, it's an insane concept, but should it ever get off the ground, it

could do more than simply expand the reach of the internet.

During times of duress or natural disasters in a region, the balloons would ensure a stable

4G-LTE network to help coordinate relief efforts… and keep people from feeling isolated.

Thanks for watching!

The future's looking interesting, right?

13 Cool Chrome Extensions You've Never Heard Of! - Duration: 11:19.

Welcome back everyone, I think you're all going to really enjoy this video.

After a lot of digging, I've found 13 really cool chrome extensions that I think you should

know about.

A couple of these are pretty well known, but I'm sure that most of these will be new to

you, and they definitely were for me.

And if you want even more extensions, at the end I'll put a link to my previous video I

made about this with some cool ones.

And of course before we begin I'm gonna give a quick shoutout to my Instagram account,

I try to only post quality content on there, if you want to check it out, my username is

just @ThioJoe.

So now, let's get started.

Starting off with number 1, we have a very cool extension called "Turn off the lights".

What this does, is when you're watching a video on YouTube, or Vimeo, or really any

other website, it will darken the screen around the video.

So maybe you're watching a long video, and don't necessarily want to go full screen,

this will let you tune out any other distractions on the page.

And for an extension that's so simple, there is a surprising amount of options, such as

how dark it gets, the ability to also blur the surrounding parts, exclude certain parts

of the YouTube page from being darkened, such as the like button, and a bunch of other stuff.

Definitely one to check out.

Next up, is Chrome User Agent Switcher, which is actually an extension made by Google.

Some of you may know what this one does right off the bat, but if you don't know what a

User Agent Switcher is, it basically changes the "fingerprint" of your browser, so websites

will think you're using something else, like Firefox, or Safari.

This can be useful for those annoying websites that block you because you're not using a

"supported browser" even if Chrome is fully capable.

Or maybe for some reason you want to pretend like you're using a mobile web browser, like

when developing a website, you can switch to iOS or Android as well.

There are several to choose from, but I should point out this doesn't actually change anything

about your browser itself, and doesn't offer any privacy, it simply changes what browser

you tell the website you're using.

Moving on, we have Honey.

This one is a really cool idea, where whenever you go to buy something online, once you get

to the checkout page, this extension will automatically try several coupon codes to

see if there are any discounts you didn't know about.

It apparently supports hundreds of online stores, and while it obviously isn't going

to find a working coupon every time, it is nice every once in a while you'll randomly

see that you saved money because of some coupon you didn't know about.

So you just kind of set it and forget it and it might save you money later and get a nice

surprise.

Ok number 4 is a really interesting one made by Google called "Long Descriptions in Context

Menu".

I didn't know this, but apparently it's possible for websites to embed long descriptions of

images, typically used for people who are visually impaired and has a screen reader,

so it tells them what the image is.

This is different from "alt text" that you can see by hovering over an image, and unless

you know about these long descriptions, they're totally invisible.

And so, well like the title suggests, this extension makes it so you can right click

an image and view the long description if it has one, or if you don't want to check

every time, it can outline images that do have one so you can see right off the bat.

Now these long descriptions are very rare, and probaly not very useful to most, but I

thought it was something you might want to at least know about.

Next up, we have Chrome Connectivity Diagnostics, yet another one made by Google, though technically

it's a chrome "app", not an extension, but whatever.

The title is self explanatory, this app allows you to run a simple test of your internet

connection through chrome.

So if your internet seems to be really slow, or it's not working at all, you can run this

and it should be able to tell you where things are going wrong.

Whether certain ports are blocked, if DNS servers are working, and a bunch of other

stuff as well.

Certainly a good one to have just in case I think.

Alright, 6 is Grammarly, an extension that has actually gotten pretty popular.

In simple terms, it's a spell checker, but obviously there's a little bit more to it.

Whenever you type something in on a website, whether it's to post on Twitter, Facebook,

or an email, it will automatically scan the message to see if there's anything you might

want to change.

And it won't autocorrect, just tell you.

You'll see if it's working because in the bottom right of the form you'll see the little

symbol, and it will be green or red depending on what it found.

This is one to consider if you're prone to lots of typos.

Numero 7, TrafficLight.

No, this has nothing to do with driving, but rather it's a security app made by Bitdefender,

which you maybe familiar with.

The idea for this is it just runs in the background, and scans any websites you visit for malicious

elements.

But the cool thing about this is if a website only has some malicious parts, it will only

block those parts.

That way you aren't totally blocked from going on the site, but you shouldn't be exposed

either.

By default it also scans search results, but you can turn that off it you don't like seeing

all the check marks it adds in the results.

I turned that off personally.

Also, it will let you know if there are any tracking elements on the site, like from Facebook

or something like that.

I think this is a good way to supplement your current antivirus software, which you should

all have.

Ok, moving on, here's one you probably haven't heard of, Forest.

It's a productivity app with a unique concept.

Instead of just blocking distracting websites, it turns it into a game.

When you need to get work done, you start a timer, and plant a virtual tree.

As the timer continues, the tree grows, until the timer ends, and you add that tree to your

collection, because it's fully grown.

But here's the thing.

If you go on any distracted websites that you've blocked, the tree dies and you have

to start it over.

Now there's also a mobile app which does the same thing except for apps instead of websites.

That has a lot more features and you can sync the browser extension it, plus it shows you

an actual virtual forest of the trees you've grown, it's kind of cool.

But to sync the two you need the premium version, which is $2, not that much, you might still

want to look into that as well.

Next, number 9, this is really just useless but kinda funny, and it's called Tabby Cat.

Basically it changes Chrome so whenever you create a new blank tab, it will show you a

cat.

It's a different one every time, and you'll get random drops of gifts an accessories you

can use to customize the cats.

So far I've gotten a fishbone which I think is a starting item, and a hat.

But yea doesn't really do anything, it's just a fun little extension, but you might like

it.

Ok, so with all these extensions you have, this next one will come in real handy.

It's called Extensity, and the purpose is to make it easy to enable and disable chrome

apps on the fly.

Not uninstall them mind you, just turn them off.

You just click on the icon and it will show you a whole list of extensions and apps, and

you just click them to toggle them on and off.

The nice thing about this is normally to disable extensions, you have to navigate to the extensions

page in chrome, find it in the list, and click the check box.

And a reason you might do this is so you can keep a lot of extensions you like installed,

but maybe there are a few that you rarely use, but don't want to completely uninstall

it.

Now, you can just disable it so it doesn't take up any system resources all the time,

and whenever you do need it, just enable it.

Very useful.

Number 11, I think everyone is gonna like this one.

It's called BehindTheOverlay.

Have you ever gone on a webpage that has something you're looking for, but all of a sudden, you

get a pop up blocking you from seeing the site unless you sign up for an account or

something like that.

It's really frustrating because you can see the information right there, but they won't

let you see the whole thing.

Well this extension fixes that.

You click the extension icon, and it removes the overlay, letting you see the webpage as

normal.

This will also work for overlays trying to get you to sign up for email newsletters,

the ones with nearly impossible to find close buttons like that.

Keep in mind though, this will not work if the website is coded so that the content is

not actually shown behind the overlay.

Even if you remove the overlay in that case, it might only show you a small part, because

the rest was never there to begin with.

Still, I think I'll find myself using this one a lot.

Coming near the end, number 12 is Showgoers for Netflix.

This one is actually awesome.

It lets you sync up Netflix shows and movies with friends, so you can all watch the same

thing at the same time.

How it works is once you log into Netflix and start playing something, then click on

the glasses icon at the top right.

You then have the option to start a new watch party, or even browse public ones made by

other people.

You get a few options, and then it gives you a link to share with anyone to let them join

the chatroom.

Obviously everyone watching has to have this extension and an active netflix account for

this to work.

It's not like it creates a stream, it just keeps you all synced up.

Really neat.

And finally, 13 is AHA Music Identifier.

It's basically like Shazam or Soundhound, except as an extension, where it can identify

songs playing on a website or in a video you're watching or something like that.

If there's any audio playing in a tab, you click the icon, and it starts listening.

And you probably need about 10 seconds of sample time for it to work.

If it finds it, it will show you the name, and links to where you can listen to it, like

YouTube and Spotify.

Obviously you could just use an app on your phone to identify it, but then you have to

grab your phone, go to the app, hold it up to the speakers, it's kind of a pain, whereas

here it's very simple.

The only thing to point out is when you install it, Chrome will tell you that this app will

try to start up with windows, even if chrome is closed.

I don't like apps that do that, so you can prevent that from happening by going to Chrome

Settings, then advanced, and then under System, disable the option that says, "Continue running

background apps when Google Chrome is closed".

And now you should be set.

So, there you have it.

13 Chrome extensions you might not have known about but hopefully find cool.

If I missed any really cool ones, be sure to let me know and everyone else in the comments.

If you want to keep watching I'll put some other videos right here, like even more extensions.

If you want to subscribe, I make a few new videos every week, and also consider enabling

notifications or else YouTube might not show you them anyway.

But anyway, as usual guys, I'm looking forward to hearing from you, so thanks for watching

I'll see you next time, and have a good one.

PHILIPPE COUTINHO, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus and Co share a private jet as they put their club rivalries aside in favour of saving some money. Manchester City host Liverpool in the early kick-off on Saturday.

He was joined by team-mate Ederson. Chelseas Willian was the odd man out of the seven because he does not belong to either club. Brazil qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia back in March.

But they continued their decent form with a 2-0 home win over Ecuador coming before a 1-1 draw in Colombia last night. City and Liverpool reached an agreement to get their key players back in time for Saturdays showdown.

The hired private jet flew the stars back from Barranquilla, Colombia, last night and arrived back in the UK this morning.

Will Philippe Coutinho be back in action for Jurgen Klopps side this weekend?.

Neymar shared this picture on his flight back.   Dog enters football pitch to try to stop Neymar during Brazil World Cup qualifier.

Coutinho scored against Ecuador and could make his league return having missed the start of the season with a back injury.

Although his transfer saga with Barcelona also probably contributed to the lack of playing time, with the Reds eventually holding firm over his move.

Colombias Radamel Falcao cancelled out Willians stunner - although a dog that ran out onto the pitch to stop a dangerous Brazil attack stole the show. Neymar also shared a photo of himself travelling back with Paris Saint-Germain team-mates.

Among them was Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos.

Used Bookstore & New Gym Tour - Neighborhood Walk - Duration: 25:03.

Okay so here we are... walking.... giving my wife a break. She's exhausted! I came home

she was exhausted baby won't go to sleep but she wants to

take a nap so I'm doing the old sexy uh carry the baby in the front thing.

I wanted to turn her around but she's like apparently her crotch is not--

This is literally what she said her crotch is not ready yet so God...

I don't know why but this... she can't... Her body's not too ready to turn her

crotch around yeah ... I don't know what's the

differences is... Anywho here's the izakaya I always wanted to go to

pretty smokey in there... here's an old shoe store. You don't see them

very much. The guy is ancient. My wife could ever eat there once

but they did the shitty job ... she wasn't happy. She never went there again.

This is an old clothing store. You don't see much of these anymore. The clothes are super

cheap a shirt for $5 , $7. I don't know how they get by. This is the chiropractor 接骨院 sekkotsuin and one

night I picked up the father was there he was drunk and I picked him up and

help him get home. This new place is a beauty parlor...

beauty salon girl...I don't know... a beauty clinic.

Occasionally --- we have a Muslim woman behind me --- we don't really see those very

much but the other day I was in this neighborhood and a Muslim woman with her

kid she.. like she looked at the kid look cute with chubby and looked half

black and she said oh my god you're uh you're from the internet

There used to be a dog here but he died... it was kind of uncomfortable cause my

wife was there... I don't know it just seemed weird.. I don't know why., It was like she was just

pointing at me and then okay yeah hi! I don't do autographs or anything....anyway there's little Princess Buttercup she's

getting kind of to see herself you're starting so she can move her head around

a little bit now and and she can use her hands a little bit

but she's still breastfeeding only oh I was telling Mowgli about this I was

in class with Friday and

I have two old elder older older women here in their 60s and they're very very

intelligent the Englishman Terry and I don't know why we were talking about

first oh yeah I guess we're talking about this kid and how she's still

breastfeeding and how long they breastfeed and make that little

conversation how long how long two kids breast feed the flock and

little discussion and I mention how I'd read an article or something the

newspaper mother about a kid who was seven years old and

still breastfeeding and I looked up real quick on the

internet and I came across a YouTube video of a six-year-old breastfeeding

with us and it clicked on the video on it and the woman's actually

breastfeeding her kid on YouTube I didn't realize that you could do that

not that I'm gonna you know start a channel with my wife but but there's

it's completely fine to breastfeed the Internet baby and I gotta tell you not

to be lascivious or anything but I was surprised this woman had really really a

gorgeous woman - two beautiful breasts and two beautiful kids and they were

breastfed it was like the most natural thing except it wasn't sexual at all but

I mean you very beautiful woman and she has some kind of you know one of these

natural I guess hippie channels but but check out his channel real quick and

with my with my students or we were all surprised at what we could that be on

YouTube we're surprised right because I mean her breasts are bare she's

breastfeeding two kids I think at the same time pretty much

and some weird titles like do I have sex while breastfeeding another year

we're too booked up now can you go an accent let's go there with

me Bob Dylan we got some boats they have to use section here

- crystal

this is a used bookstore

fish

this is a thousand six and sometimes you get sometimes very very cheap to blend

the background of my room for fun my wife likes woody actually she likes

butters like it's more fun to say my wife likes this all games and DVDs and

books

- interesting pop in here anyway if you're ever in Japan this is a great

place to shop if you want to buy your stuff you don't book soon it's good that

they have an English section for books too so you can actually get pretty good

books if you're doing career studying Japanese they often have people who you

have left about the Japanese

get back to verse video

oh my god they just opened a fitness this is completely in

Oh

so this woman have you press feeds on YouTube has over 500,000 subscribers and

over 300 million views and I'm assuming most of those views are not Monica

but you can probably make quite a bit of money just advertising some product your

videos right but now more than ever we've had all these like weird words

that are connected to what even the drana is trolling no

demonstrations you know politics maybe but things like well

things like thick news you know that we're the place which is you know but

just that were doesn't make a deal make sense fake news I mean calling CNN fake

news doesn't really make sense because though it's you know it's clear that

some story a lot of it is biased which you can't really say a whole station is

they can use when they have three thousand employee who thirty-eight

branches and offices around the world occasionally yeah and there's some stuff

that gets out that's inaccurate but tell me one news agency that isn't and what

are the other thing is what are your what are your options right like the

independent the independent reporter like how do you trust them how do you

know I don't know they're not honest there's so much fake crap on them on

music as it is right now it's just crazy and that was one of the big pubs last

year right people were putting out all these fake new stories completely fake

come plumbing completely fabricated not even biased totally anyway that's one

word there were done where I don't really understand okay I understand what

naturalism this is everything I understand antique I see

but I don't understand quite what red peelings in

24 hours every month seventh

I can't read I know that kind of I can't read it let's say

I'm gonna go check it out.

見学 gengaku = observe

ごゆっくり過ごしてください。 GOYUKKURI SUGOSHITE KUDAI. = Take your time.... Check it out.

The staff is on (working) from 10 to 7pm.

Hello! Please come and write your name and wait.

Me: Hello. (Staff: Hello!) Me.: I had not intended to come here, but...

I was just passing by and noticed... and live nearby so... Staff: Oh, I see.

Would you like to look around?

Men can enter this gym. (I'm asking just in case it's a woman's only gym.) Staff: No problem.

Me: So it's 24 hours right? Staff: Yes, that's right.

Me: So, apparently because of the campaign it's only ¥3,000 now because of the campaign?

Staff: Yes, ¥3,000. That's right.

Me: So for the first 2 months it's ¥3,000 and then it's how much monthly? Staff: ¥7538

Staff: 24 hours a day. Me: (Thinking aloud) So morning...

Staff: Morning... any time is fine.

My house is really close so.. it takes 5 minutes to walk here.

Me: But I have got kids so I can only come at night. Staff: Yes, of course.

Me: It's all your fault. Staff: Do you always go out together?

Me: Not always. My wife is just really tired right now. Staff: Oh, I see. You just happened to be...

Me: Nap time.

Ok. Let's take a look.

OK. Weights.

Great. A bench. I can't bench at home.

Staff: Do you have weights at home too?

Me: Yes, but only ... 25 kg.

Just a little.

If I had a bench I could do more.

Also I can only exercise when the kids are not around.

When they are home I can't.

This is pretty good.

Tell me about this campaign...

Now with this campaign the security key which usually cost 5,000 yen is now O yen.

And Sept and Oct it's only 3,000 yen.

And after that it's 7.000 yen?

After that, from November it's just over 7,000 yen.

Do you have a 夫婦 FUUFU deal? (夫婦 fuu fu = husband and wife.)

夫婦 FUUFU ?

Me and my wife?

Well, there is no specific campaign, but if your wife joins now it's a good deal.

This campaign is good until the 14th.

The14th. OK. I see.

And you have staff on hand from 10am to 7pm.

Yes, that's right.

Do you have a pool.

Staff: There is not pool.

This is the only room? Staff: This room has everything. The showers are over there.

I like the simplicity of it.

I can't hear what I said here, but ....

something about it being so close to my home and that was the most important factor and...

that I don't really need the showers. But that it could be convenient..

Staff: You could take a shower here and then go home and sleep.

Staff: These are the changing rooms.

Staff: Watch your feet.

Here are the toilets and shower rooms.

The bath... Oh a shower.

Staff: The shower.

Nice.

I need to talk it over with my wife before I can decide. Staff: With your wife.

It's money so...

She's the boss so... Staff: Yes, she's the boss.

Staff: Please take home this pamphlet.

Oh can I? Staff: Yes. The offer is until the 14th.

I wish I had come by the 30th! (It was even cheaper.)

Staff: But you could only sign up online then.

I only just noticed you were here. I usually take the subway so I don't come down here..

Ok. I see. Thank you very much!

Staff: Come back with your wife. The two of you.

Right. It's cheaper.

And from November it's 7,000 yen.

Ok. Thank you. I'm going to put this on Youtube, ok?

Well that's pretty good.

So お得 OTOKU means "It's a good deal." OTOKU!

it's a good deal okay well you know that's great I like that I think I'm

gonna join this gym you know cuz it's so close to my house it's literally ten

minutes away walking and you know I can put the kids to bed let them go down to

the gym and like do some major I mean I got the dumbbells in the house and I got

the bench of the house and I got the bicycle in the house but I don't use it

when it's hard exercise in the house if I went there

7,000 7,000 yen hmm I like to get in shape you know alright anyway so excuse

me on the burp there... this is the this this is a house that they built. I never put the

video up I made a video how they put this house up just wanted here in a

truck and dropped it here as far as you on a truck and dropped it now it is it

some weird office so this is a pretty old neighbor a lot of people here you

might not know but the average age you know a lot of I think a pan is something

like 48 or something I looked it up once only one other country is higher than

your bandwidth I think this is yo kinda a hotel traditional hotel the Sun is

going down and I've been rambling on for 19 minutes so this will be a walk about

video in my neighborhood for the gym tour with giving my wife a one-hour

break so she can take a take a nap it's a yeah I gotta tell you man living at

home with the kids you really cannot get anything done at

all hmm anyway had a good day worked a

little bit I'd like to exercise a bit more though of course when it comes to

losing weight which it's not my only goal what I like to lose some weight not

exercise but diet is the most important thing I recently gotten a little bit of

a spat inadvertently with chickapedia to get me to hope you don't mind me

mentioning it he was interesting because I really like hiccup edy I think she's

really really cool and she was under the impression that I was uh I had been a

vegetarian for for 2 or 3 years which I've never been this funny for me um I

was a vegetarian for two or three weeks at most maybe a month at most but um but

I do admire vegetarians because I think it's healthy that not that that's all I

mean I don't and in when it comes to veganism I think that's even healthier I

suppose you know I admire health but I like meat I do I like bacon I think it's

just amazing and you know I did a video a while ago about um I was fishing we

caught some octopus and they were like hooks in the octopus we took them out

win that we end up throwing the octopus back at least that one we did end up

keeping one that was big enough to eat but it was interesting because I

understand that people are they feel look at her little bald head so it looks

like Kim Jong Il people they I understand that people are very

sympathetic and they care about the pain and suffering of animals but I think

it's kind of hypocritical there's just so much pain and suffering in the world

and to be concerned about a fish or an octopus I think is just well you know

well you know I just don't have I just wanna have it in me that's really what

comes down to I mean I think it's great if you can feel that sympathy I just

don't have it and I wasn't raised that way in fact I come from a background of

my grandmother kept animals on the roof yeah she was four she kept her animals

on her on the roof and she would bring them down like guinea pig

and that in Peru it called Kui should take it down and Guinea pigging betrayed

or duck and butcher and I remember going to Peru once when I was a boy and and I

am not that way I just want you to understand I am not capable of killing

without you know without feeling I feel bad about it

animals but fish I'm pretty okay with but I remember when I went to Peru once

and I was younger they gave me a duck and they said this is a duck I'm like

what are you what ye mean duck we're gonna eat it tonight you have to kill it

it's you know in your honor for visiting Peru so they hand me a knife and they

had me cut this duck --scent neck and the blood dripped out into if they held

they held a bowl under the neck they held it the neck horizontally and the

blood dripped out and I was disgusted so disgusted I could not eat dinner so it's

not like I'm without feeling but but I can't I don't really sympathize when it

comes to fish and octopus you just can't make me care you know there's another

really nice guy really like him named good karma I think the same good karma

alright anyway he's a really nice value makes videos I get them if I remember

then I'll put it in there but he was he was making comments about the fact that

we killed mosquitoes in the temple when I was with Gary in the temple nearby

here and again I just can't care I just can't care about mosquitoes

anyway the thing back with hiccup edia she made a joke about she made a joke

she made a joke about well she said that she ate Donuts right and I said I don't

care about Donuts because they're big and it's the best I'm like nothing with

the word vegan

sucking on my leg I shouldn't know a lot of mosquitoes at there there's a you can

see the moon here let me turn like I'm

not gonna I don't yo class got it that a guy Qigong good

eye on SME tight that yeah honey um oh damn I thought I was I had it on I just

wanted to point out I just feel like those tape bow is not taping anything

they tore down

so you can walk across release you to the other now just I just did just

falling apart that's pretty old and almost like this are really cool or

maybe not putting on you I think they're kind of cool

ah but they're miserable summers were just miserable and winters are freezing

but this typical which I'm gonna use a little tiny straight like this I walked

down the street that many many times before the street like this has

neighborhood yeah okay yeah let's get home and get this baby some milk maybe

we'll make a breastfeeding video what do you think I think mommy would like that

I don't think so yeah do you look worried kid

you can't see them but you can hear them but this tree is full

More CRAZY "What If" Scenarios - Duration: 11:09.

As we said in our original list, the world is a strange and mysterious place where anything

can happen.

These are 10 more crazy "what if" situations about everyday life, and even alternate history

scenarios.

10.

What Happened if We Evolved Alongside a Competitive Species?

One thing that really helped humans become the dominant species on Earth is that we became

technologically advanced and no other species did.

This raises the alternate history question: what would have happened if another species,

say chimpanzees, became technologically advanced alongside us?

It really shouldn't be a big surprise, but we would be constantly at war with them.

Humans have been going to war with each other over resources, ideologies, and nationalities

for thousands of years, so why would we treat a completely different species any better?

William Harcourt-Smith, a paleoanthropologist at the American Museum of Natural History,

says that perhaps, after tens of thousands of years of war, we might be able to find

peace if we settled in different geographical areas and used different resources, like humans

focused on animal husbandry and lived inland, while "The Others" fished and lived on

the coasts.

Harcourt-Smith points out that monkeys living in the same tree usually ignore each other

unless they are fighting for resources and humans act in a very similar way.

9.

What Happened if a Woman Took Viagra?

On Viagra's official website, it clearly states that women should not take Viagra,

which is a brand name version of the drug sildenafil.

That being said, there have been a few studies on the effects of sildenafil on women.

One study found that it works in a similar way that it does in men.

In a study that was published in The Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers

gave half a group of women who were taking the antidepressant medication serotonin reuptake

inhibitors (which are known to cause a low libido) sugar pills.

The other half were given sildenafil.

They found that the women who took sildenafil had better orgasms, but it didn't do anything

to their sex drive.

It should also be noted that the study was funded by Pfizer, who happens to be the manufacturer

of Viagra.

Also, sildenafil does more than just help men with erectile dysfunction.

It is also used to treat a form of high blood pressure called pulmonary arterial hypertension

in both men and women, so technically some women already use Viagra.

For several years, many pharmaceutical companies have tried to develop a female equivalent

to Viagra, but to no avail.

And if Pfizer knew, or even thought that it worked in females, extensive testing would

have been conducted and it'd be available to be sold.

8.

What Would Happen if a Man Took Birth Control?

This one is a bit more difficult to answer because there are dozens of birth control

pills that act differently from one another, because they contain different levels of the

synthetic hormones estrogen and/or progestin.

If the pills have high levels of estrogen, it can lead to changes in the male body over

a long period of time.

Some changes include a lower sex drive, having problems getting and maintaining an erection,

lower sperm count, and shrunken testicles.

It also leads to muscle loss and may make the bones weaker.

Facial and body hair may become thinner as well.

It's also possible that it could lead to mood changes, like a more mild temperament.

Of course, that is over a long period of time.

If a male accidentally takes a few, he won't feel its effects.

7.

What Would Happen if the Internet Shut Down for a Day?

It's a beautiful morning, you're lying in bed and you reach for your smart device

to see what's going in the world.

That's when you notice that your internet isn't working.

You check with your neighbors and you find out the internet is down for everyone.

It turns out there was a solar storm that knocked the entire internet offline around

the globe.

What should you expect if this were to happen in real life?

Armageddon!

Break into your neighbor's house, crack their heads open and feast on the goo inside

because the downfall of humanity has begun!

Actually, don't worry, it won't be that bad.

First off, getting everyone back online will be every internet service provider's top

priority, so the internet should not be down for very long.

If the outage lasts for a few days, the economy may not even be too severely impacted.

People will continue on doing the things they normally would that don't involve the internet.

In fact, some companies may benefit from the internet outage, as it will give them a chance

to get caught up on tasks they have been postponing because they spent time goofing off online.

Yes, online giants like Facebook and Google will be hard hit, but what is everyone going

to do as soon as the internet comes back online?

They'll probably have more visitors in those first few hours after the internet comes back

online than they do in a week.

Scott Borg, who works at the non-profit organization United States Cyber Consequences Unit, compares

a short term internet outage to the economic depression during a long weekend, and the

world's economy is set up to handle the occasional long weekend.

Overall, it would essentially be like one big snow day… albeit a very, very boring

snow day.

6.

What Would Have Happened if Neanderthals Didn't Go Extinct?

Neanderthals and humans started to branch off from a common ancestor 700,000 years ago

and completely split apart about 300,000 years ago.

For reasons unknown, they went extinct about 42,000 to 30,000 years ago.

But what if they didn't?

Would they have been a competitive species, or would we have lived alongside them like

in the Geico commercials?

Paleoanthropologist Will Harcourt-Smith says that unless humans and Neanderthals actively

kept themselves separate from each other, the Neanderthals probably would have been

assimilated.

The problem the Neanderthals had was that their population was much smaller than the

human population.

Evidence to back up his theory is DNA tests show that humans and Neanderthals did interbreed.

If you were born outside of Africa, there is a good chance that 1.5 to 2.1 percent of

your DNA comes from Neanderthals.

If the Neanderthals weren't killed off because of some other mitigating factors, like disease

or weather change, perhaps more Neanderthal DNA would have been passed on to modern humans

and this could have led to more prevalent Neanderthal traits in humans.

5.

What Happens if a Hole Opens Up on an Airplane While it's Flying?

It is by far one of the biggest movie tropes of all time: There's a hole in an airplane,

it sucks people out, and they fall to their deaths.

Since it's been in so many movies, it has to be real, right?

First off, if a hole does open in an airplane, it's not going to be because someone opened

a door mid-flight.

It's physically impossible to open a passenger door on modern planes while they are in flight

because the cabins have a higher pressure than the outside, so there is around 6 pounds

per square inch of differential pressure against a door that is hundreds of square inches.

But what happened if, for whatever reason, a giant hole forms in the side of the plane

that you're aboard?

If that's the case, there would be an explosive decompression, which would cause someone standing

next to the hole to be sucked out.

If someone is buckled into their seat near the hole, they won't fly out because plane

seats are secured into the plane so that they won't fly out the hole.

In other words: when the flight attendants tell you to buckle up, do what they say.

Now all you have to worry about is possibly being violently thrown off a flight that you

paid for so that the airline's staff can fly instead.

4.

What Would Happen if You Fell Into a Volcano?

There's pretty much no hope for this one.

You'd die, but the interesting question is how would you die if you fell into a volcano?

Would you drown like Gollum in The Lord of the Rings?

Or would you burn to death?

If you fell into a volcano, you'd fall onto a pool of magma, which is molten rock that

is below the earth.

The difference between magma and lava is that lava is molten rock that has come to the surface.

Nevertheless, magma and lava behave very similarly when it comes to falling on it.

Magma and lava are about two-to-three times denser than water and it can be thousands

to millions of times more viscous than water, so it isn't as easily deformed.

It would be like landing on wet cement.

You'd make a small indentation, but wouldn't submerge or sink in.

The good news is that you may be dead before hitting the magma.

As you fall and get closer to the magma, your lungs could char or you might asphyxiate.

If you aren't killed while falling, then hitting the magma at a high rate of speed

will probably break your neck or skull, which should kill you.

If you do survive all that, your body will burst into flames the instant you hit the

magma and you'll melt into the magma or become specks of ash.

So try to avoid jumping into an active volcano, alright?

3.

What Would Happen if We Collided with Another Universe?

In the multiverse theory, there are an infinite number of universes running parallel to our

own.

And parallel is exactly how we want the universes to run, because if one collides with our own,

we're in big trouble.

The good news is that we won't be able to tell it's happening because it will happen

so fast.

In fact, the exterior wall of the other universe will be traveling nearly at the speed of light

when it hits us.

Anthony Aguirre, a physicist at the University of California-Santa Cruz, says that if we

could slow it down, it would look like a giant mirror crashing down on us.

It would look like a mirror because the outer boundary of the other universe would reflect

light.

After that, we won't feel anything because we'll no longer exist.

Boy, isn't this becoming one heck of a feel-good list?

2.

What Would Happen if You Didn't Shower or Bathe for a Year?

Obviously, you'd stink.

Dead skin would accumulate on top of your skin and part of that dead skin is a protein

that is really smelly.

Also, bacteria would grow on your skin and when it mixes with sweat, it gives off a terrible

odor.

Brown clumps will also grow in areas where your body produces the most oil, like behind

your ears and under your arms.

Your head would itch something fierce, because of all the dead skin accumulated on top of

it.

Acne and puss bumps will also become common.

Your groin will also be another major problem area because rashes could become common.

It's even possible that the scum between your toes will spread to your groin.

One of the biggest problems you'd face is infection.

If you cut yourself, the first thing you're supposed to do is wash the cut so it doesn't

get infected.

So if you're covered in bacteria, that means you're more likely to get a soft issue infection.

Finally, if you wanted to return to normal (and let's be honest, who wouldn't?),

the bad news is that it would take several weeks.

That means if you want to try this experiment – which we beg you not to do – you may

not want to set up a date within the first month of showering again.

1.

What Would Happen if Every Species Became Self-Aware and Intelligent

In the Planet of the Apes films, we have a problem when one species becomes intelligent

and self-aware.

But what would happen if all species suddenly became self-aware and intelligent?

Innes Cuthill, a behavioral ecologist at the University of Bristol, thinks that it will

be an all-out war between the species.

Humans would probably set out to wipe out any animals we'd view as threats like lions,

tigers, and bears (Oh my!

Yeah, we know).

Next, we'd have to kill off the primates before they got organized because if they

somehow got ahold of human technology like guns or even computers and learned how to

use them, we would be in big trouble.

Physically, they are much bigger, stronger, and more agile than us, so if they became

smarter and used technology it could be too hard for us to overcome.

But in the end, there is a good chance humans would win the early stages of the war because

there are so many of us and we're already armed, plus we have already access to technology

and – most importantly – know how to use it.

We just have to hope that something like bacteria doesn't gain intelligence, because a smart

bacterium could probably kill off all humans (and everything else) and take over the planet.

Even if a bacterium doesn't gain intelligence, the war of the species would be horrible for

anyone who survives because ecosystems will collapse and only things like cockroaches

will survive.

Step 9 - Deal with Specifics Not Generalizations - Duration: 2:55.

How do you feel when someone simply says to you, "You're just -- you know I

just have a problem with you" and then you say, "Well can you tell me more precisely?"

and say, "No, I just have a problem with you"

Well the principle I want to talk about here

it's the ninth step in the 12 steps of

conflict resolution is to deal with specifics not generalizations.

I don't know if there's anything more frustrating and more debilitating in

resolving conflicts to just be general and not be specific

And I want to urge you to be specific.

Don't just say, "I just don't like you"

"You're not worth it"

"You're just always doing things that are wrong"

You need to say, let me give you a specific example of an

issue we're dealing with right now.

Let's try to be precise don't try to cover the waterfront.

Deal with the precise issue.

And by the way, remember those bricks that cause conflict and separation over time

Each conflict you need to resolve is a specific.

So you're dealing with that.

Maybe it was something that person said to you

Or something that person said to someone else about you

Deal with the specific not a generalization.

I was speaking one time to a large group of college students

and afterwards many students came up and said a lot of nice things to me

and then one guy said, "Dr. Jenson can I talk to you for a moment?"

I said, "Sure" and he said, "You know I don't like you"

and I said, "Well that's interesting"

I said, "Look at me, yeah I'm sure you're one of many. What about me don't you like?"

and he thought about it for a few seconds and said, "Everything"

I said, "Could you narrow down a little bit more?"

and then he thought about it for a few seconds more

and said, "I got it" I said, "Well, good. What is it?"

He said, "It's your personality" I said, "Well what is it about my personality?

He said, "That's just the whole thing" I said, "Well thank you so much that is so helpful"

The only way I can deal with that is you know -- basically to put my lips around an exhaust pipe and suck

Total annihilation is the only way I can deal with resolving your issue with me and my personality

That wasn't helpful at all. That was frustrating to me.

I can handle criticism but I sure like it to get as specific as possible

So I can understand it and deal with it and others are like that, you're like that too.

So be sure in this particular step that you deal with specifics

Don't just deal with generalizations and watch how that helps you in resolving conflict.

Why Emre Can's release clause demand could be a sign of the times for Liverpool - Duration: 8:32.

Why Emre Can's release clause demand could be a sign of the times for Liverpool

With Emre Can's contract talks stalling as the midfielder demands a release clause, Liverpool may be forced to come to terms with a shifting dynamic.

After the summer transfer window, extending Can's contract is of paramount importance to the Reds, with the German key to their progress under Jurgen Klopp.

Can's current deal expires in 2018, with 10 months left to run before he is able to leave the club on a free transfer.

Even more worrying is that there are just four months to go until Can is free to begin talks with sides outside of England, with Serie A giants Juventus looming.

Incredibly, Liverpool opened negotiations with the midfielder's representatives in June of last year, with the club said to be "hopeful of a quick resolution.

Over a year later, and Can is yet to agree a new deal, and it transpires that the Reds' reluctance to include a release clause is the sticking point.

But following a turbulent summer that saw clubs fight back against player power, is this a sign of the times, and one that Liverpool must accept if they are to retain their No. 23?.

In Can, Liverpool have an excellent talent with the potential to develop into a top-level player in the Premier League, and one who has already proved himself over three seasons at Anfield.

Having joined from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014, for just £10 million, the 23-year-old has made 133 appearances for the Reds, 115 of which came as part of the starting lineup.

Despite his relative youth, Can is already one of the senior members of Klopp's squad, whose leadership shines through alongside the likes of Jordan Hendersonand Adam Lallana.

While he has been blighted by niggling injuries over his three years on Merseyside, Can is a robust midfielder, and something of a unique talent in terms of his flexibility.

That he could be seen as the long-term solution for Liverpool in both the No. 8 roles is a testament to his all-round quality.

But it is in the latter duty that he has been so impressive in the early stages of 2017/18, excelling a two-goal showing against Hoffenheim, and in last Sunday's 4-0 win over Arsenal.

These performances underline just why Klopp is so eager to retain Can's services, and why he pushed to keep him on Merseyside this summer, despite the risk of a free transfer next year.

There is little argument against whether Can deserves a significant increase in terms of wages, particularly given Dejan Lovren signed a new £100,000-a-week contract in April.

However, from the club's perspective, the inclusion of a release clause only opens Can up to a move in the future—as well as setting a precedent in talks with other players.

And given his development under Klopp, it would be no surprise to see former club Bayern Munich, or even a Premier League rival, join Juventus in their pursuit.

The revelation that Can's contract talks are hinging on a release clause comes at a pertinent time, less than a week after an unprecedented transfer window closed.

Neymar's £198 million move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain saw price tags soar, with Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele both moving for exorbitant fees as a result.

However, an influx of TV money has provided Premier League clubs with the ability to shift the balance, as a host of failed moves highlighted.

Most prominently, these involved Liverpool, with the Reds holding firm in their definitive stance over Philippe Coutinho's future, rejecting three big-money bids from Barcelona.

That they were in a position to turn down £114. 2 million from the Liga giants highlights a shift in power, but this financial dominance also came back to bite them.

Despite Virgil van Dijk's desire to move to Anfield, Southampton made it clear they were not willing to part ways with their captain at any cost.

Elsewhere, Alexis Sanchez, Riyad Mahrez and Diego Costa all found themselves at the mercy of their clubs, with the notion of the transfer request proving trivial.

As talks continue with Liverpool, Can will likely look to the examples set by Coutinho and Van Dijk and opt to retain control.

Both Coutinho and Van Dijk signed new long-term contracts just months prior to pushing for the exit, undermining their efforts to leave and strengthening their clubs' hand.

By negotiating a release clause in his contract, Can would be able to circumvent a sticky, reputation-damaging situation if he did set his sights on a move.

Where previously a four, five or even six-year deal could provide players with security—particularly in the lower leagues, or in the event of serious injury—they are now arguably a negative.

The inclusion of such a clause in Can's contract should not serve as unequivocal proof that he is looking to leave Liverpool in the future; in fact, they are commonplace in his native Germany.

Instead, this impasse serves to signal a change in approach from players and their agents.

The next four months could prove pivotal in Liverpool's negotiations with Can's representatives, and test both parties' resolve.

For the club, they must decide whether it is worth sticking to their guns and risk allowing one of their most important players leave on a free transfer next summer.

And for Can, he must weigh up the possibility of undermining his relationship with the Reds' supporters against taking agency over his future.

It is likely that, following the summer window, the majority of top-level players will eschew signing longer contracts in favour of short-term deals, to avoid being held against their will.

This is something that Liverpool may have to come to terms with, but if that is the case, the value of Can's release clause must be carefully deliberated.

Given the likes of Danny Drinkwater, Paulinho, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Kyle Walker all moved for over £35 million this summer, Can's projected value should be significantly higher.

That PSG activated Neymar's £198 million release clause should be seen as an anomaly, but it would not be unrealistic to suggest Liverpool negotiate a fee of over £100 million for Can.

If Can is adamant on its inclusion, the Reds may be forced to relent—as the midfielder is key to their success.

Virgil van Dijk still wanted by Liverpool in £60m deal after Southampton defender 'agreed terms with two clubs'

VIRGIL VAN DIJK is still in Liverpools sights despite failing to escape Southampton. The Dutch defender is a also a target for Arsenal and Chelsea. Virgil van Dijk wanted to wave goodbye to Southampton this summer.

Van Dijk has returned to training with Southampton after his transfer request. Despite returning to first-team training, all three Prem giants remain keen.

And, according to journalist Gabriele Marcotti, the player had an agreement with two clubs as he waited for Saints to budge in their stance.

The player was kept in the cold by Saints during pre-season as he tried to push for a transfer to one of the top sides.

Van Dijk, 26, was ordered by the club to train by himself until he was fully committed after he told new boss Mauricio Pellegrino he wanted to leave.

He also issued a public statement demanding that Southampton let him go, stating the club had left him feeling insulted and disappointed when they ignored his request.

in August, Van Dijk said: "Unfortunately I feel I have no alternative (to hand in a transfer request) after I was given notice of the club's intention to impose a disciplinary sanction against me of a fine equivalent to 2 weeks wages.

Dutch defender Van Dijk is also wanted by Chelsea and Arsenal.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp still wants to sign Van Dijk. "I will be appealing what I feel to be an unjustified sanction and their inability to follow the correct disciplinary protocol in due course.

"I am incredibly ambitious and want to achieve as much as I possibly can to fulfil my potential in what is a very short career as a professional footballer.

"I want to play European football again and challenge for major honours and as such I would like Southampton to consider the interest in me from top clubs should it still exist.

Mauricio Pellegrino appears to be reintegrating Van Dijk to the Saints squad. "I have been left frustrated by the club's position that I am not for sale and am disappointed that enquiries from multiple top clubs have been consistently rebuffed.

It was reported that Van Dijk had refused to play for the Saints.

But it looks like he has given up on his dream move after being filmed at the clubs training ground yesterday as he attempts to get fit following the international break.

Van Dijk has not played for Southampton since January when he picked up an ankle injury in a home win over Leicester.   Transfer deadline day parody sees Alexis Sanchez and Virgil van Dijk battle it out on Gladiators.
