My name is Andres.

I'm part of the Future Leaders Programme in Vaccines R&D, and I'm based in Belgium.

So, I describe GSK as an inclusive employer.

To give you some examples, you have people here from all over the world.

Regardless of their nationality, their background, their preferences, we all learn to live together,

to work together, and the team spirit is really something that you live everyday here at GSK.

I decided to make a transition from academia to industry because I wanted

to try something new, something a bit more fast paced.

And I was missing, a bit, the networking part.

GSK gives me that chance.

And after I finished my studies I wanted to try to find the right place, the right fit,

within a big R&D organisation, and the FLP programme gives me that opportunity.

In Vaccines R&D there is no such a thing as a typical day.

Every day goes with different challenges, different situations and different learning

experiences.

And, from time to time, I find time to get a coffee with my colleagues and try to improve

my network here within GSK.

The FLP Programme has taught me a lot of things and I have been

able to discover skills that I didn't know I had when I was in academia.

The best advice I can give you if you're planning to apply for the

FLP program, is just be yourself and show what makes you different.
