These JKU Speaker Pods with Kicker speakers and amplifier are for those of you that have

a four-door 2007 and up JK, and are looking to add some additional sound to your audio

system to get more quality.

And also more volume from that system.

Now, there aren't a lot of places that you can easily bolt additional speakers into your

JK.

You can, of course, swap out the speakers that are in the dash or in the soundbar.

You can swap out the factory tweeters that are on the dash.

But if you're looking to add speakers, generally you had to purchase an enclosure and make

it fit somewhere or custom-make something.

These JKU Speaker Pods are going to mount on the very back side of your sport cage,

where the sport cage starts to slant down as it comes over the back seat of your four-door

JK.

They're going to mount very, very easily, they're gonna mount right over top of the

sport cage covering.

And this kit is going to come with everything you need to fill those speaker pods and give

you the sound that you're after.

This is really going to be a one-stop shop for you.

This is going to come with the speaker pods themselves.

It's going to come with a pair of kickers, six and three quarter-inch mid to bass range

components.

It's also going to come with a pair of tweeters that will go right in your JKU Speaker Pods

as well.

And it's going to come with not just an amp to power them, but also a pair of crossovers

so you're making sure that you get the proper frequency to both the mid speakers and to

the tweeters, as well as the rest of the wiring and the hardware that you need to get this

kit installed.

So it really is fully inclusive, it really does have everything that you're gonna need

to get things going.

Now, you can just purchase this kit with the pods and the speakers, without the amplifier.

And you can just purchase the speaker pods by themselves if you choose to stick your

own components in them.

So, you do have some flexibility there.

This is, of course, going to be the most expensive kit offered out of the three because it does

have all the components that you see here, but it is really a one-stop shop.

So for those of you that aren't that comfortable with automotive audio, who don't have a lot

of experience with it, who don't wanna have to piece together a kit and just hope all

the components work together, this is something where it all comes in one box.

You know it's all gonna work together, you just have to get it installed.

And for everything that's gonna come in this box, I do think this is pretty fairly priced.

You're going to get a much better sound quality, as well as a lot more volume out of this system.

The speaker pods themselves, which are available individually, are going to be molded plastic,

they're gonna mount very easily onto that sport cage.

They will hold either a six-and-a-half or a six-and-three-quarter inch component.

This kit comes with the six and three quarter-inch speakers and again, they're a mid to bass

range, as well as the smaller tweeters that are gonna go right in there.

The amplifier that comes with this kit is going to be a smaller amp, both in physical

size and also in wattage.

This puts out about 250 watts, which is gonna be more than enough to drive these new speakers

that you just added, although if you wanted to get the kit without the amp and add something

a little bit bigger, of course, you could.

These speakers are going to take a max of 300 watts so, of course, you do wanna be careful

about overpowering things.

The amplifier itself does have a crossover built right into it, however, you are going

to to get individual crossovers here.

Each of those is going to have an output for both your mid and your tweeter, so you're

going to be able to separate all of your frequencies out and make sure that the proper speakers

are getting the proper frequencies so you're getting a nice crisp and clean sound, not

getting anything that's muddled or distorted.

And finally, over here you're going to have a wiring harness that's going to make it very

easy to wire up your amplifier.

And you're also gonna get some wires that are going to allow you to run the power up

to your speakers from your amplifier, so the install is going to be a pretty easy set-up.

Even though this is a pretty easy install, I am gonna stick with a two out of three wrenches

on it because there is going to be a little bit of wiring involved.

Everything that you need is included, but you're going to have to cut some wires.

You're going to have to crimp some ends on and make some connections.

So again, two out of three wrenches.

If you're not comfortable with automotive wiring or with automotive audio, chances are

you're gonna wanna take this to a shop and have them install it for you.

But if you do have some experience in those areas, this is definitely something that you

can tackle in your driveway, get everything wired up and get the additional sound that

you're looking for from this system.

So the first step is going to be getting the speakers mounted up into the JKU pods.

From there, you can get the pods themselves mounted onto the sport cage.

Once they're mounted up, you'll go ahead and install your amplifier wherever you choose

to install it, and you will wanna put it somewhere that it's not gonna get wet, it's not gonna

get dusty.

Because they can be a little bit finicky.

Once you have that mounted, you'll find a spot for your crossovers to go.

And once they're mounted, it's just a matter of wiring everything up.

And that's where this wiring harness comes in, it's gonna make things a lot easier getting

everything wired up than it would be if you were to just do it from scratch.

Once everything's done, fire up the system and you'll have that additional sound quality

and volume that you're looking for.

Like I said, this system is going to be the most expensive of the three different options

that are offered.

This is going to come with the speakers and the amp and it's gonna run you right around

$400.

And while it is the more expensive of the three options offered, I still think it's

a very good price for everything that you're getting.

And for the peace of mind of knowing that everything that comes out of the box is going

to work very, very well together.

You can step down to about $265 if you wanted the kit without the amp.

And the speaker pods themselves are around $115 if you wanna stuff them with your own

components.

So if you're looking for a pretty easy one-stop shop to add some additional sound quality

and volume to your JK, I'd definitely recommend taking a look at this kit, and you can find

it right here at extremeterrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Locking Gas Cap Door (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 3:47.

This Rugged Ridge Locking Gas Cap Door is for those of you that have a 2007 and up JK

and are looking to add a gas cap door onto your Jeep to give it a little bit more of

a finished look.

And with having a locking one, you also have that added security that no one is gonna be

able to get in your fuel tank and siphon any of your fuel.

Now, the exposed fuel filler cap on a Jeep has sort of been an icon of the Jeep for a

long time.

It helps to give the Jeep that off-road rugged styling that a lot of us really do like.

But, again, if you wanna change that up a little bit, make the Jeep look a little bit

more finished, this is gonna be a nice option for you.

This is also going to be a locking gas cap cover that is going to be significantly less

expensive than a lot of the other ones on the market.

This is going to be a no frills fuel cap cover.

However, it is going to get the job done and it's going to give you that finished look

that you're after.

This is going to be a steel gas cap cover.

It has some mock rivets around the outside just to give you a little bit more of that

styling.

And, of course, this has that textured black powder coat finish on it which is going to

help protect it and also help it to match a lot of the factory black plastic accents

on your JK and a lot of the other aftermarket accessories that you might have bolted on

it.

As it says right in the title and as you can see here, this is going to be a locking gas

cap, so this comes with a pair of keys.

You can go ahead and lock it up and keep anybody out from messing with your fuel.

Now, because this is a no frills gas cap cover, you do have to keep this one locked in order

to keep the door closed.

That's the only mechanism that keeps that door shut.

Some of the other ones on the market will also have a magnet or a different type of

clasp, so that you can simply close it, keep it closed and then lock it when you need to,

because the lock can be a little bit of an inconvenience, depending on where you live

and who pumps your fuel.

So this is not going to have those options.

However, again, this is going to be less expensive than a lot of the other ones out there.

I am gonna give this a one out of three wrenches for the installation, even though there is

a little bit of drilling involved in getting this bolted up and you should be able to get

it done in under an hour.

Even if you were to remove this gas cap cover and take it off the Jeep at some point, the

very small holes that you do have to drill that are left behind aren't going to be all

that noticeable.

And you're not drilling into the metal body of the Jeep, just into the plastic fuel filler

surround.

So the process of the installation is really unboxing your fuel filler door.

You're going to set it over top of the gas cap, get it oriented properly, get it nice

and level exactly where you want it.

Then you can open the door and mark the holes.

After that, you go ahead and drill those holes and use the included hardware to get this

attached into that plastic.

Again, a very simple process, a little bit of drilling to do, but because you're just

going into the plastic and they're holes that you're not gonna see if you were to ever remove

this, I'm still gonna stick with a one out of three wrenches.

Because this is a no frills fuel filler cover, this is going to be one of the less expensive

options on the market.

And even though this one does have the locking mechanism on it, it still comes in at just

around $40, which again is gonna be less than a lot of the other ones.

If you are looking for something that's made out of a more premium material, if you're

looking for one that has some additional features and options, we have those available as well,

but you can expect to pay roughly double what you would have to pay for this one.

So, again, if you're looking to save a little bit of money, if you're looking for a no frills,

more basic option, this is going to be a great one that will save you some money.

So if you're looking for a simple gas cap door, this is going to be a really nice option

from Rugged Ridge that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler Barricade HD Flat Fender Flares (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 4:30.

These barricade HD flat fender flares are for those of you that have a 2007 and up JK

and are looking not for only a flat flare, but also a metal flat fender flare.

Now there are two different schools of thought when it comes to a metal flare like this.

One is that the metal flare will of course hold up better than a plastic flare when it

makes contact with an obstacle off road.

The other is that because this is metal and it won't bend, flex, or break when you make

contact with an obstacle, it will transfer that impact from the flare into the body,

causing a much more expensive repair.

So depending on which school of thought you fall into, these might be a really nice way

of protecting your jeep and also changing up the look.

A flat flare in general will give your wheel wells a much more open look, almost giving

the appearance of having more lift than you actually do.

And on top of that you will have some more up-travel suspension before the tire makes

contact with the fender flare, so a lot of good reasons to install a flat flare.

And these metal flares will have the added durability that a plastic flare won't have.

In general these are going to be a less expensive option for a metal flat flare then some of

the other ones on the market while still being very well built.

These flares are made of one and a half millimeter steel covered in a textured black powder coat

finish which is going to match a lot of the other after market accessories you might bolt

onto your Jeep as well as a lot of those factory plastic black accents that are on it right

out of the factory.

Now these flares are going to provide a little bit of a more open wheel well like we talked

about, a little bit of additional up-travel of your tire, but they're also going to provide

a little bit more tire coverage than those factory flares will.

They're actually a little bit wider.

Which is a really nice feature that will keep your tires from throwing quite as much junk

up on the side of the Jeep which can cause some damage.

So getting these installed is going to be a two out of three wrenches because of that

little bit of drilling you will need to do.

Other than that this is going to be a very simple process.

The first step in the installation is of course removing those factory flares from your Jeep.

And in order to do that you'll have to remove a couple of screws that hold your inner fender

liners in place up front, remove all of the nut and bolt hardware that hold your factory

flares onto the Jeep, and also of course remove the wiring from your front turn signal and

get that out of the way before just giving the fender flares a pull and removing them

from your Jeep.

Now when you do remove those chances are you're going to break most if not all of the factory

plastic clips that hold the fender flares onto your Jeep.

That's inevitable.

It's very difficult to do this installation without breaking those clips, and you're not

going to need any of them for the installation of the new flares.

So don't worry if you break those.

In the rear the process is very much the same to get those completely removed from the Jeep.

The next step will be removing any of the residual plastic from the holes in the side

of your Jeep.

Any of those plastic clips that might have a little leftover pieces.

You'll want to get all of that out of the way before you start your install.

Then you can hold your fender flare up into its location and use the nut and bolt hardware

as well as the included rivet nuts to get these installed in your Jeep.

Up front you do have one hole to drill all the way down near the bottom and in the back

there are a couple of dimples in the body and some stuff tapping screws you'll have

to run in.

So again a little bit of drilling that you will have to do to get these installed properly.

Now there won't be any specialty tools that are necessary to get this job done.

However, if you've ever installed rivet nuts before you know that using the proper tool

for the job will make this a lot easier and a lot less frustrating for you.

So if you've purchased one, if you already had one, or you can actually rent them a lot

of times for free that would be a good idea.

Again, definitely not necessary but it'll help speed things along and make it a little

bit easier.

A set of four of these flares will be around $300 which is significantly less expensive

than some of the other sets on the market.

Some of those others can cost more than double what these ones cost.

I do think with these flares you are getting a high quality set of flares.

They are going to fit well and they're going to get the job done.

However, if you're looking for a fit and finish or a few more bells and whistles, then maybe

one of the more expensive options is better.

So if you're looking for a less expensive set of metal flat fender flares for your JK,

I definitely recommend taking a look at the Barricade HD flat fender flares that you can

find right here at extremeterrain.com.
