NFL Legend Just Issued Death Blow To Colin Kaepernick After He Sued The League For Not Hiring Him. - Duration: 6:43.

NFL Legend Just Issued Death Blow To Colin Kaepernick After He Sued The League For Not

Hiring Him.

What to do about Colin Kaepernick?

That's the question on the minds of many football executives in the United States today

because the controversial player has stirred up such a stink, and he's not going to be

soon forgotten.

To be perfectly honest, from a purely PR perspective, the day Kaepernick knelt for the National

Anthem was the day he endowed his career with brilliance because from that day forward we

have not stopped mulling over what to do about Colin Kaepernick.

While the obvious answer to that question is the one that the 49ers were contemplating

when Kaepernick chose to be a free agent, (fire the unproductive player) the social

justice warriors league of America seems to have gotten together and decided that he is

their mascot and must therefore be protected at all costs.

The 3rd string backup quarterback who according to his own coach was fired because he couldn't

play in the pocket, now has a toehold to say his firing was illegal.

And all because he knelt.

That's a story we're all too familiar with.

What we're not very familiar with until now is other football players calling Kaepernick

out on his crap, but that's just what NFL legend Warren Moon did in a recent interview.

According to the Conservative Daily Post, Moon thinks that Kaepernick doesn't actually

want to play in the NFL, otherwise, he would have played his cards very differently:

"[Kaepernick] was not a very good football player and was not going to be in the NFL

for very long due to that reality.

He then began this mindless kneeling during the national anthem as he proclaimed the falsehood

of "white privilege" and other untruths and it has become all that he is known for.

His playing is still subpar, no team wants him due to his lack of talent, so now he is

angry and suing the league, according to the Daily Caller.

To him, the fact that he is a lackluster player is not why he isn't playing because he can

not be that real with himself.

Instead, he stretches the truth and implies that he is out of the league for other reasons,

which is 100% untrue.

Football legend Warren Moon chimed in and observed, 'If he was gonna file a lawsuit,

he maybe should've waited 'til this season was over if he did want to play this year

because it was almost like, does he really wanna play if he's gonna go and sue the

league and then also try to get signed by a football team?

The two just don't seem to mix."

Most of us probably do assume that there is some nuance here that we're missing; maybe

since we've never experienced the NFL, we don't really understand what it's like

to be in Kaepernick's cleats.

We do, however, know what it's like to give respect to whom respect is due, and it's

a trait that we require of anyone who plans to make the big bucks playing a game that

people play for free all the time.

"The disgraced kneeler is suing because he falsely claims that the league is 'colluding

against him,' when in fact, he just isn't good enough to earn a uniform.

Somehow, suing the prospective employer is the best way to get one's job back, at least

if one is Kaepernick.

It is so sad to see him unable to accept the truth about his talent, or lack thereof.

If he had not race-baited in a bunch of unhappy protestors who feel that detestable people

like Michal Brown did not deserve shot after robbing a store and charging a cop, no one

would even know who he was.

He would be recalled as "that one quarterback, what's his name with the dumb hair…."

Colin Kaepernick spent most of his playing time face down because he was often sacked,

could not scramble well, and played poorly.

The fact that not one person on his side, no matter how much they like sports, can name

any of his stats is proof of his inadequacy on the field.

For that matter, he is a person who many loathe and his jersey is even used as a doormat.

As it stands, that seems like an insult to doormats."

There are a million reasons why a player could be cut from a team, not the least of which

is his disrespect to someone that the coach or the owner requires that he show respect

to.

As much as we would all like to believe that Kaepernick isn't playing in the NFL this

season because he was disrespectful to the flag and the National Anthem, the more logical

answer seems to be that he's not playing because he's not a great player, and all

of this is fluff, meant to distract us from a washed-up has-been who's only accomplishment

in life is to single-handedly bring down a once beloved institution named the National

Football League.

RIP.

The Art of Articulations - Duration: 6:18.

this video is sponsored by Skillshare.

hey, welcome to 12tone! when we talk about melodies, we're usually focusing on the specific

notes.

that's what gives your melody its shape, after all, and it's a big part of the emotional

feel of the song.

but what you play isn't the only thing that matters: it's also important to look at how

you play it.

the same notes can come across very differently, depending on how you articulate them.

probably the most well-known articulations are the ones relating to note length.

for instance, take this melody.

(bang) we're just playing everything for as long as the notation says we're supposed to.

this is called tenuto, and it's fine, but compare it to this: (bang) that's staccato,

and it's a lot bouncier.

technically, staccato means you're supposed to play the note for half its duration, then

rest for the other half, but it's often just used to describe any short, disconnected notes.

on the other end we have legato, which means the notes flow into each other.

this is also called a slur, and how it sounds depends on the instrument you're playing.

on something like a flute, where you can easily move from note to note, legato means that

you play the phrase in one uninterrupted sound.

(bang) on a piano, though, that's not possible.

each new note you play requires a new attack, because each note is created by a different

string.

this makes true legato impossible on a piano, but skilled players may be able to manipulate

their playing, carefully staggering their strikes and releases to create a similar effect.

(bang) they might even vary the volume at which they play each note in order to create

the illusion of a smoothly decaying sound.

speaking of volume, another common kind of articulation is based on how hard you play

the note.

now, I'm not talking about the volume of a whole section here: that's dynamics, which

is a slightly different thing.

I'm talking about changing volume for a specific note.

the simplest example is called the accent, where you just play a little bit harder than

the surrounding melody.

(bang) a similar tool is the sforzando, which is like an especially strong accent.

(bang) there's also some more advanced techniques like marcato, meaning marked, which is basically

a combination of an accent and staccato.

(bang) marcato can also be applied to whole sections, where it tends to mean that each

note should be accented with strong initial attacks, kind of like the opposite of legato.

and then there's my favorite dynamic articulation, the fortepiano, which literally means loud-to-soft.

here, you start with a strong attack, then quickly drop down to a much quieter level.

(bang) it's almost like staccato, but with a tail.

a common variation of this, especially in horn sections, is to drop down, then slowly

ramp back up to your original volume.

(bang) this technique lets you create the feeling of a crescendo even in a section that's

already really loud. you can even sort of do it on an electric keyboard, with some clever

use of the volume knob. (bang)

you may have noticed that which instrument you're playing or writing for has a huge effect

on which articulations you have available.

every instrument is different, and each one presents you with different options on how

to make noise with it.

for instance, I know many of you are probably guitar players, but for those who aren't,

it might surprise you to learn that there's actually a difference between picking downward

and picking upward.

this is hard to demonstrate with digital instruments so I'll leave it to your imagination, but

because of the way your muscles work, downstrokes tend to be stronger and more powerful, while

upstrokes are a bit lighter and bouncier.

this effect is amplified when you're playing multiple notes at once, because you tend to

hit the first couple strings hardest, so downstroke chords accent the lower notes while upstroke

chords sound higher and brighter.

you can even see this by genre: punk guitarists often play exclusively down, whereas reggae

is usually up.

another thing that can change the sound of a guitar is whether you're using a pick or

just your fingers.

picks are hard and rigid, so they produce clear, strong attacks, whereas the pads of

your fingers are softer, so notes plucked with them sound a bit more muted.

but the biggest question of all is to pick or not to pick.

that is, for any given note, do you actually do anything with your strumming hand? because

you don't necessarily have to.

guitarists can use tricks like hammer-ons, pull-offs, and trills to help them play multiple

notes with one pluck of a string like the legato playing from earlier, although with

a somewhat limited range.

there's even a technique called tapping where you just hit the frets hard enough to initiate

a sound without actually plucking the string at all.

brass and woodwind players, meanwhile, get most of their articulation options from their

tongues. this is how they block or let through air in order to create notes, and the precise

movements of the tongue are what creates the specific sound of the instrument.

this is often taught by comparison to spoken syllables: for instance, "tah" creates a strong,

clear attack, whereas "dah" is a little softer, and "lah" is softer still, almost like a full

legato. at fast tempos you might have to start double-tonguing, where you combine two syllables,

like "tah-kah" so that your tongue creates new notes in both directions.

you can even create a sort of distortion effect by fluttertonguing, which is pretty much what

it sounds like: quickly fluttering your tongue, like frrrrr.

it sounds better through a wind instrument.

but my absolute favorite playing technique comes from the violin. over the centuries,

composers have experimented with pretty much every imaginable way to make sounds with a

violin, from bowing at different points on the instrument to plucking the strings in

what's called pizzicato, but forget all that: let's talk about col legno.

literally translated as "with wood", this means turning the bow around and just hitting

the strings with the wooden part.

that sounds dangerous, but if you do it gently it's not actually bad for the instrument,

and it creates a muted, percussive sound that adds a weird, unpredictable overtone, so multiple

violins doing this at once sounds really chaotic.

plus it basically turns the violin into a drum, and that's awesome.

BREAKING: Kaepernick Hit With Massive Humiliation, He Deserves This - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 3:32.

The controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick and the national anthem is one of the most

widely debated topics in the country right now.

Earlier this week, Kaepernick was forced to face the harsh truth about the protest trend

he started.

Despite Kaepernick being sure that he would have a job with another NFL team when he opted

out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers, those efforts have fallen flat.

Sports Illustrated reports that the Houston Texans signed quarterback Josh Johnson after

the team released Matt McGloin.

Johnson has not thrown a single pass since 2011.

In other words, the Texans would rather have an unemployed quarterback of five years than

Colin Kaepernick.

McGloin was signed by the Texans after Deshaun Watson suffered a knee injury that put him

out for the rest of the season.

The result was that they put their backup quarterback, Tom Savage, in at the starting

position.

This move brought the team down to two quarterbacks, Watson and Savage.

The Texans needed to bring a third quarterback in and decided on Johnson over the controversial

Kaepernick.

Perhaps shocking to many, Johnson, 31, has a record of five touchdowns and ten interceptions

in his career.

In comparison, Kaepernick is 30 years old and has 72 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.

Kaepernick is viewed in a tainted light because of his protests over the national anthem protests

that he began last season.

As a way to push back against perceived "racial injustice," Kaepernick decided to kneel

during the national anthem before every game.

Eventually, more players followed suit.

This decision was not received well by the general public.

Even President Donald Trump lashed out at the protesting players for disrespecting the

United States and the military when they refused to stand during the national anthem.

The former 49ers quarterback filed a grievance under the guise of a violation of the collective

bargaining agreement.

Kaepernick's claim is that NFL owners are colluding to leave the troubled former-quarterback

unemployed.

Cited in the grievance is Texans owner Bob McNair.

Instead of acknowledging the fact that no one wants him on their team because he is

a controversial player who affects decreased revenue, he seems to believe that there is

a deep conspiracy executed against him.

In reality, his poor game performance and controversy have likely resulted in his continued

unemployment — not racism or any other conspiracy.

Football players are drafted to play the game and entertain people who enjoy the sport.

Kaepernick has shown little interest in the sport and, instead, seems to want to use the

opportunity of the sports spotlight to be a social justice warrior.

The owners, coaches, and league as a whole want to avoid controversy that has resulted

in declined ratings and perceptions of the league.

If they choose to hire someone who isn't a controversial figure, they are entitled

to make that call.

Kaepernick fails to understand that he is not "entitled" to employment in the NFL.

The teams are businesses, and the employees are players who are hired based on their talents

and ability to work as a member of a team.

Kaepernick has shown the public that he has little interest in teamwork unless it involves

teammates who want to push his social agenda further.
