It's gotta be today, I think we've got the opportunities... I don't think I'd last 5 minutes in any other period of history.

We've got a wonderful art collection actually. Kenwoods got some fantastic paintings, Vermeer, Rembrandt...

Sonic Forces - REVIEW - Duration: 8:56.

When Sonic Forces was first unveiled at the tail end of Sonic's 25th anniversary event,

I couldn't have been happier.

"From the team that brought you Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations," the reveal trailer

said.

That alone was enough to light up my hype sensors — after all, for those of us who

know the so-called "Sonic Cycle" hasn't applied for over a decade, Colors and Generations

stand as lasting proof that Sonic and the third dimension can play nice together.

In fact, 2013's Sonic Lost World was rightly criticized for, among other things, abandoning

the Boost-style gameplay formula that had endeared so many to Colors, Generations, and

the Day stages in Sonic Unleashed.

And that's why the idea of Sonic Team taking a page from their own book and returning to

this formula for Sonic Forces was so exciting.

Sonic Mania had been announced literally minutes prior as an authentic return to form for Classic

Sonic, while Forces would bring Modern Sonic back in the form that had finally proven his

viability in the first place.

SEGA's plan seemed foolproof.

Of course, we already know how the first part of this plan turned out: Sonic Mania released

just a couple of months ago to rave reviews across the board and is widely regarded as

the best thing to happen to Sonic in more than 20 years.

But what of Sonic Forces?

Has Sonic Team managed to deliver on the promise of a definitive follow-up to Colors and Generations?

Well, no, not really.

As it turns out, Forces is an odd mishmash of half-realized ideas and odd concepts that

don't really feel like they go together or even like they were thought through completely.

Some of the individual components of a great Modern Sonic game are here, such as the Boost-style

gameplay I mentioned earlier, and Forces does occasionally achieve moments of greatness

rivaling the best Generations and Colors had to offer.

But those moments are always fleeting, and the time in-between those moments is mostly

hampered by uninspired level design and a focus on brand-new elements that feel like

unnecessary dead weight at best.

This point is perhaps best exemplified by the game's bizarre focus on the Hero Character,

a blank-slate avatar you can model after one of seven different animals and outfit with

an utterly mind-boggling number of custom clothing and accessories.

You then get to see this character interact with and work alongside Sonic and his friends

throughout the entirety of Forces' story as the game's third playable character,

and I admit there may be a certain appeal in that for certain audiences and age groups,

an appeal that is lost on me personally.

But either way, the problem is that after all is said and done, the Hero Character offers

almost nothing of value to the game other than their astounding meme potential.

Gameplay-wise, the Hero Character simply plays like a low-budget version of Modern Sonic:

they have a wire hook that serves the same purpose as the Homing Attack but feels far

less satisfying to use, and instead of Sonic's beloved Boost ability, they use a variety

of handheld weapons called "Wispons" that are massively unbalanced in the player's

favor across the board.

The first Wispon you get — a flamethrower — is more than capable of demolishing anything

the game throws at you with little effort, and as such the game doesn't offer any incentive

to explore other Wispon types other than alternate paths through a level that occasionally require

a specific Wispon ability to access.

Like the Hero Character in general, the Wispons just feel half-baked and haphazardly implemented.

And just in case you think you can more or less ignore the Hero Character outside of

a few exclusive levels, think again — pretty much the whole game is anchored around this

avatar-like presence, to the point where there are nearly as many Hero Character levels in

the 30-stage campaign as there are Modern Sonic levels, with Classic Sonic bringing

up the rear.

Unfortunately, Forces likely wouldn't have fared much better even without the Hero Character's

baggage weighing it down.

For example, Classic Sonic's presence in Forces feels similarly unjustified and half-baked.

Not only does he gets the least amount of playtime of all three characters by a decent

margin, he also doesn't have a single level in Forces that is as fun, memorable, or well-designed

as any given Classic Sonic stage in Generations.

None of the Classic Sonic levels in Forces are outright awful, mind you, and some can

be fun in the moment, but they all share the same ho-hum, uninspired level design that

permeates the rest of the game.

And yes, that sadly includes the Modern Sonic levels as well.

As it turns out, fans were right to be worried by what appeared to be an alarmingly short,

straightforward Modern Sonic stage in the recent Forces demo for Nintendo Switch.

Other than a couple of genuinely great ones that show up toward the end of the campaign,

the Modern Sonic levels in Forces are surprisingly brief affairs that strongly favor protracted

2D segments over the 3D gameplay that popularized Colors and Generations in the first place.

And considering the fact that all of Classic Sonic's and around half of the Hero Character's

gameplay is already 2D, I'm once again left with the feeling that relatively little thought

went into how, or even if, all of the different elements in Forces would fit together.

For example, how many Sonic fans were honestly asking for Green Hill and Chemical Plant to

return YET AGAIN?

Both zones already featured in Sonic Generations and, much more recently, Sonic Mania.

And not only are they back again in Forces, they both serve as the setting for multiple

stages in an already brief campaign, limiting the game's scope in what feels like an obvious

effort to save development time by reusing assets.

And while we're still on the subject of oddly random and half-baked design elements,

I should touch on the random quick time events that pop up in some stages, including the

Modern Sonic and Hero Character-powered "Double Boost" ability that has been shown off in

trailers.

Now, I don't intrinsically hate quick time events, but to my dismay, these QTEs and Double

Boost sequences don't require any player input at all.

The game does a decent job of making it look like players need to participate, but you

can literally put the controller down during these sequences and all you'll miss out

on is extra points.

Once again, I'm left wondering why these things are even in the game when they add

literally nothing of value to it.

There is one unifying element that all three playable characters share in common, but unfortunately

it represents the biggest problem with Forces: poor controls paired with utterly nonsensical

platforming physics.

I can't tell you how many bottomless pits I've fallen into thanks to Forces' bizarre

concepts of momentum and mid-air physics and how those things should work in a video game.

Making precision jumps is an exercise in frustration more often than not thanks to each character's

sluggish mid-air movement.

Thankfully, checkpoints are common and Sonic Team has graciously done away with the concept

of lives for Forces, so you'll never experience any major setbacks no matter how many times

you die.

Much of this review has been deservedly negative, but let me be clear: Forces isn't all bad,

and there are indeed some elements worth celebrating other than generous checkpoints, the removal

of lives, and a couple of stronger levels later in the game.

Forces benefits from a hilariously grimdark story that takes itself completely seriously,

resulting in wonderful moments like Knuckles solemnly remarking on the horrors of war.

Some may understandably see this as a negative, but with strong voice acting across the board

from Sonic's usual stable of performers, I see Forces' bizarrely nonsensical story

about Sonic and friends taking back a world conquered by Eggman as a bright spot injecting

some genuine charm into an experience that is otherwise mostly bland and unremarkable.

Forces also benefits from a strong visual presentation, at least on the PlayStation

4, which is the version this review is based on.

The PS4 version of Forces outputs at 1080p and maintains a smooth 60 frames per second

at all times, lending the game an especially elegant, polished look that isn't necessarily

carried over to other platforms — particularly the Nintendo Switch version, which outputs

at 720p even in TV Mode with the framerate cut in half to 30 frames per second.

Still, Forces is a great-looking game at least on the PS4, and even if the level designs

aren't inspired, the attractive locations they're set in certainly are.

And then there's the soundtrack led by Modern Sonic veteran composer Tomoya Ohtani, which

maintains the series' impressive musical pedigree even as it takes some risks and delves

into genres you might not expect from a Modern Sonic soundtrack, including drum and bass,

electronica, and even Eurodance.

The Hero Character's levels in particular benefit from some deliciously cheesy vocals,

which feels like coming home if you're a longtime fan of Sonic soundtracks.

It doesn't all work, and there are some genuine low points — mainly the majority

of Classic Sonic's level themes, which suffer from the Sonic 4 effect of sounding like they

were composed using SEGA Genesis hardware without any understanding of how to make that

hardware sing — quite literally, in this case.

But the majority of the soundtrack lands right on the mark and is reflective of Sonic's

typically high musical standards.

It's just a shame that Sonic Forces in general fails to exceed or even meet the expectations

previously set by Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations.

If Sonic Team had stayed the course and truly designed Sonic Forces to be Modern Sonic's

next big game instead of burying him underneath all the Hero Character nonsense and a universal

regression in control and level design, this might have been a very different review.

Instead, Sonic Forces just left me feeling "Meh."

While it does benefit from a strong audiovisual presentation and there are moments of Generations-like

greatness toward the end of the campaign, the rest of Sonic Forces is defined by a combination

of half-baked ideas and forgettable level designs that plant it firmly in the realm

of mediocrity.

NFL In Full Panic Over Incredible Revenge Veterans Have Planned For Veteran's Day

Game Sunday.

A massive Facebook group with hundreds of thousands of followers and likes has now called

for a nationwide boycott of the National Football League on Veterans Day Weekend.

The site urges fans around the country to change the channel "in solidarity" with

Americans who respect the national anthem, our flag, and those who served to protect

our rights and freedoms.

The official statement from the site urges people not to watch or listen to NFL games

on November 12 in solidarity with veterans around the country, as football players have

continued to disrespect the national anthem, the American flag, and everything our nation

stands for.

And lastly, it adds that until millionaire football players stop protesting the National

Anthem of the United States the site will be there encouraging patriotic Americans to

boycott the National Football League.

This comes after months of NFL players publicly protesting the performance of the Star-Spangled

Banner during pre-game ceremonies which has caused millions of fed up fans to change the

channel, stop buying NFL merchandise and boycotting their sponsors.

Nation's Restaurant News Reports:

Papa John's sales sacked by NFL ratings plunge

Published reports list the pizza chain among NFL sponsors complaining to the league about

viewership decline NFL ratings are down this season.

That's bad news for the league's sponsors — including Papa John's International

Inc.

These companies are apparently not taking the slide sitting down.

The Louisville-based pizza delivery chain was among a number of NFL sponsors to complain

to the league about the state of viewership, according to the New York Business Journal.

According to the publication, Papa John's told the league that pizza sales during NFL

games have fallen since Sept. 22.

That's when President Donald Trump criticized players kneeling during the national anthem

as a form of protest.

Likewise, ESPN reported today that "nearly all of the league's longtime sponsors,"

including Papa John's, were "rattled."

The company did not respond to a request for comment.

But news that NFL ratings would hurt Papa John's would hardly be surprising.

Indeed, NFL ratings have fallen 5.1 percent through the first seven weeks of the season,

according to Sporting News.

Ratings fell last year, too.

For whatever reason, be it protests or Netflix or too many games, viewers are tuning football

out.

Same-store sales at Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. have seemingly taken a corresponding hit.

The Minneapolis-based chicken wing chain has long advertised to sports fans, football in

particular — to the point that chicken wing prices increase every year during football

season.

Its same-store sales in the quarter ended Sept. 24 declined 2.3 percent at company locations

and 3.2 percent at franchised outlets.

Papa John's same-store sales increased 3.8 percent in the fourth quarter a year ago,

when the company said television ratings for football games declined 8 percent.

But executives said at the time that they felt that ratings decline.

"Given the fact that we have a significant investment into the NFL, an 8 percent rating

does play a small factor in some of our performance," company President Steve Ritchie said in February.

So many elements are potentially playing a role in weak industry sales it's difficult

to keep track of all of them.

But the NFL problem is specific to the few chains that have chosen to use football as

part of their marketing strategy.

Some analysts, including Instinet Analyst Mark Kalinowski and BTIG Analyst Peter Saleh,

have already reduced their sales targets for Papa John's as a result of the ratings weakness.

As it is, both Papa John's and Buffalo Wild Wings in recent years have expanded their

marketing efforts to other sports.

Papa John's, for instance, has a deal with Major League Baseball.

Buffalo Wild Wings is going even further, expanding into brand new sports.

The company has been a pioneering sponsor of esports, or professional gaming.

Earlier this month, the company announced the first partnership with an esports team,

Team Dignitas.

We all know most football players are illiterates who really don't seem to be able to understand

the negative repercussions their actions will have, but the owners should know better.

And because they know better they should say to the players, "You don't stand for the

anthem, you don't play!"

Simple.

And since most of these players only care about their pocketbooks and their egos they

will do what they are told to do.

it's great to see you again I've bought this awesome set yesterday at Toys R Us

this is a brand new Animal Planet set they just got this is the Spinosaurus

Tower mega play set is cool comes with the Spinosaurus there is no Saurus

Triceratops Wow the set is awesome so uh anyways one of

the things I love about this set check out this - first that guy is so goofy

looking at toll areas and his eyes light up his saw sail lights up and he makes a

roaring noise also let's check out the back of these blocks because usually

they give pretty cool info so here is the set set up and like sand environment

here it is set up with kids playing with it here's some information on

Spinosaurus

and then it also includes a triceratops at Dilophosaurus at Troodon and of there

is no Saurus so it is a really cool big set okay let's see because like I said

it is a big set and this is what it looks like before I take anything out

there Dino skeleton bones tower human

huge spinosaurus thesaurus awesome go ahead and three these guys and we're

gonna have some fun okay guys we're gonna start right off the main point

main reason I bought this set who's this - Clarissa cuz he is awesome he is

really Koopa guys look at this guy tell me what's wrong here he has the

Velociraptor third claw the killing column claw so the spinosaurus

definitely does not have a third claw but it would be cool if he did I mean

can you see this huge guy just running up and slashing something instead of

just eating them with his teeth and I'd be hilarious

okay the cool thing about this is his sail here lights up let me go ahead and

turn off my lights and show you guys it's still not gonna be as bright as it

it's really hard okay guys because of the way my camera

setup for the lighting it's hard to tell but it is really bright red the Full

Sail and his eyes soften you move it down and this guy is loud like

annoyingly loud so you've got to keep that in mind too and then also he does

open in closes mouth but not very much it would be nice if he opened and closed

his mouth all the way but they did a great job with the teeth they are very

comical looking so this guy would be like the spinosaurus his goofy cousin

let's call him how about Larry this guy is gonna be

long claws here some reason they got yellow paint like spread like everywhere

on the claws too which is a little weird like I said they did put the third claw

which is weird for spinosaurus and then this side you have all the screw holes

but anyways guys if you do find this set it is totally awesome I'm gonna try to

find it for you guys and put a link below this video so go ahead and check

that out and guys you could also all help out my channel I do got a Petrine

account now so you are any amount you could give would really help off because

these toys do cost a lot of money guys and I'm really having a hard time paying

for them so any support would be greatly appreciated

anyway so this one not just the cool spinosaurus but you get a room

cool big Triceratops - I mean this guy is red and black he's got the big horns

here I don't think this is a triceratops because they usually don't have these

here but the box lists him as a triceratops so Who am I to say Animal

Planet is incorrect right but if they are let me know what I know this is I

want to test your knowledge so go ahead and tell me ah

anyways there's the guy so nice big dinosaur there and then it does come

with a cool threads in the Souris also actually he's kind of weird-looking so I

guess the only way he stands is supporting himself on the cloths paw

does got like little one-piece teeth a little horn on the front of him is like

a dark green lime green color with the huge claws painted red and the nails on

his feet are painted red also so I mean not bad it's a nice extra Dino and then

you have Dilophosaurus with egg this guy actually came in one of the other Animal

Planet sets also but he is cool he's carrying an egg like a football so this

guy must be planning to spike the egg and then it also comes with the Troodon

the cool thing is this Troodon actually has moving parts usually these small

Animal Planet ones they do not have moving parts so this guy could turn his

head he could move his arms up and down and he could move his feet back and

forward like I said it's very rare this is the first small one I found in the

animal planet sets that has moving parts so they must really be improving what

they have so I'm excited to see what they come out with because I think with

the Jurassic world movie coming out next year they

are gonna bring a lot of companies are gonna be coming out with some awesome

dinosaur toys so that is really cool and then to top it off on top of all the

dinosaur one do you have two little characters here they are kind of cool ah

they're very lightweight it almost seems if you played with GI Joe guys from like

the 80s and 90s these seem to be about that quality there and then it comes

with this huge accessory thing where you got like rake comb like a dinosaur skull

bones here so this would be like in their work area and then also you got

this huge vehicle here where you're gonna go ahead and attach these claws to

it so once you attach the claws they do move all around and they are action

claws so if you push the button it does close so you could actually go up and

capture it and dinosaur yeah you could lift it capture it and put it in the

cage cool and then it does it also the doors do open and the characters fit

inside there so this is a cool like monster truck you've got the big pipes

coming out the back the big wheels so it is awesome that is one thing I love

about these Animal Planet set they are complete so let's go ahead and check out

this tower I mean this has everything you need to have a really fun time so

the cage will hold the dinosaur and it will lock and close there securely on

the tower you have three different levels here we'll go ahead and take a

look at each level so here you've got like a lookout area you

right here to like search for dinosaurs it's got like grass ruff and it has a

working winch so if you go ahead and turn this here it will actually go ahead

and lift the cage up wind it up here and I believe doesn't seem to lock it in

though so you would have to hold it as you wind it up and then if you let it go

it will lower the cage so like I said a complete solution here and it's cool

they put an opening door on the bottom here ah the reason I'm showing you guys

this is I did a review on a tower they had before with the t-rex and this one

is much better quality they added a lot of cool stuff so then you've got a

ladder here too for the characters to climb up

Hey guys it's me Rahul and today i'm here with a cool little trick that will help you

a lot , if you don't have big hands .

So, you might be familiar with the term one handed mode or reachability in iOS, in this

video i will show you guys how to get that mode or feature on any android smartphone

and the best part is,you don't need root access, and if you do then it is way too easy to set

this thing up.

So what this mode does is , it shrinks down the screen.

basically all the UI elements and apps to the desired size and enabling the user to

use their phone with one hand, because typically a user cannot reach the top corners of the

screen with one hand.

So setting up this without root access needs a PC to execute some ADB commands.

First you need to download " one handed mode " app from the playstore, links are

down below,

Then goto settings→ about phone and tap on build number 7 times until you see a message

stating "you are now a developer."

Go back open developer options and enable USB debugging .

Then connect your phone to your pc using a cable.

And pull down your notification and tap on "USB charging this device" notification.

And change it to transfer files.

So the next step is different for different operating system, so i'm gonna explain how

to do this with windows and if you are using mac or linux machines follow the link in the

description

So on windows you need to download platform tools, then extract the files to your desktop

or anywhere it doesn't really matter.

Then open platform tools folder and then hold down shift and right click in this folder

and Select "Open PowerShell window here" or "Open command window here."which will

open up CMD.

Then type in " adb devices " and hit enter, if no devices are showing , then please update

your phones drivers especially the ADB driver and try again, there will be a link to the

google usb driver in the description as well, so try it out, if your device is not being

detected,

If everything is right, you see a allow USB debugging ? prompt on your phone tap OK

Then re-enter "adb devices " on CMD , hit enter and then copy this code from the description

and paste it onto here and hit enter, if don't see any error, close the CMD , unplug the

phone , then open the one handed mode app and tap on the check mark.

,at the end of the instructions, and you're basically done, you can "turn on" the

one handed mode by tapping here,

you can also set a manual size for the one handed mode, you can decide how much you want

the screen to shrink.

If you pay a little bit you will get a lot of cool and useful features like launcher

shortcut, quick settings toggle and a lot more.

So yeah that's pretty much it.
