You long for battle. You crave it.

You're nothing but a boy

trying to prove himself a man.

Well, this "boy" has grown tired of your mockery.

Thor, stop and think.

Look around you, we're outnumbered.

Know your place, Brother.

You know not what your actions would unleash.

I do.

Go now, while I still allow it.

We will accept your most gracious offer.

Come on, Brother.

Run back home, little princess.

Damn.

Next?

At least make it a challenge for me!

That's more like it.

Don't let them touch you!

Thor!

- We must go! - Then go!

BTS Talk About Shopping When They're Out On The Road & What They Buy - Duration: 0:55.

Suga: I don't shop at all.

Jimin: We're all a little different. Me and J-hope go out together to shop, Rap Monster goes out by himself to shop and Jungkook shops from home.

RM: I buy a lot.

J-Hope: And V spends a lot when he finds something he really likes.

Suga: The reason that I don't go out to shop is because the Korean delivery system is so amazing. If I order something today, it will arrive tomorrow. That's why I don't go out to shop

RM: In the US it could take a little longer for deliveries because the country is so big.

Suga: I don't know about Italy, but because there aren't many delivery systems that deliver as fast as Korea, Koreans tend to shop online a lot more.

Heimdall!

Open the bridge!

Father! We'll finish them together!

Silence!

Allfather.

You look weary.

Laufey, end this now.

Your boy sought this out.

You're right.

And these are the actions of a boy, treat them as such.

You and I can end this here and now, before there's further bloodshed.

We are beyond diplomacy now, Allfather.

He'll get what he came for.

War

and death.

So be it.

Activism | How to Prepare for IELTS Test & TOEFL Test | How to Read in English - Duration: 6:59.

It's me, how are you guys doing? I hope you're having a good day – NO! I hope

you're having an excellent, amazig, fantastic, phenomenal, super, super, super,

super duper day! Right? anyways what we– yeah what's that?

just uh just a second... I have a letter here from the President, the President of

the United States. dear Kallan, continue the good work. I

wanted everyone studying English to know that they are doing a great job!

excellent job, the best! and that sometimes I get very hungry and when I'm

hungry I get angry. I'm sorry for what I said. everyone is welcome in the United

States. it is a country of freedom, opportunity, and prosperity.

apologetically mr. Donald Trump. Aww, that's a sweet message, thank you. that's

a good way to start the day! the president's always in the news and today

we are going to be talking about something that has been in the news

quite a lot. talking about social movements and racism and white supremacy.

this video is possible thanks to awesome patrons like you! all the BFFs on patreon:

there is this new vlog today where we explore the interweb! woohoo! of course

before we start, never forget the three dots! it's gonna help you so much! I'm not

kidding. I promise I'm not kidding. but let's get started

with this article from ProPublica! Infowars! inside the left's online

efforts to out white supremacists. by Decca Muldowney. I gotta start here, right in

the title, some amazing vocabulary! to out someone. this means to expose someone, to

show who they really are, and to reveal their identity. so what a lot of social

activists on the left are trying to do, people who are more liberal, is to try to

expose, to reveal the identities of some of these white supremacists. some of these

racist or bigoted white Americans. now that you know what that is, let's

continue! a legally gray tactic known as doxxing that comes with plenty of risk

for all. Fallon is not her real name, it's a pseudonym she's using because she

wants to remain anonymous. she knows that can be an elusive goal,

chiefly because of people not unlike her. when I first contacted Fallon here's

what she told me about herself: she's in her mid-30s, she's white, she has children,

she works a nine-to-five office job, and she lives in Ohio. she has a voice like a

school teacher or a nurse, steady and determined. she loves PowerPoint slides

and spreadsheets, she seems organized, efficient and

articulate. she also says she is a part of Great Lakes Antifa, a self described

group of anti-fascist activists. within her local Antifa group, she says she is

part of an even smaller collective. these are what are known as the Antifa doxxers.

in the evenings and her spare time, Fallon says she researches and reveals

the identities of neo-nazis in America. Jeez Louise! the vocabulary here is moi,

excelente! a pseudonym is a fictitious name.

especially used by authors, oftentimes authors don't give us their real names,

they give us a pseudonym. not exactly a nickname, because a pseudonym is just

something that you create so that people don't know your real name.

to be anonymous, means to be unknown. mysterious. so a lot of these white

supremacists use pseudonyms to re–– so a lot of these white supremacists

use pseudonyms to remain anonymous! and her goal is elusive. if something is

elusive, it's hard to achieve or to find if you're looking for something. and this

is chiefly because of people like her. chiefly means primarily or mostly. most

people work a nine-to-five job. we can also say, to do the 9 to 5, the 9 to 5

grind, the 9 to 5 is just going to work at 9:00 and leaving at 5:00. even if

those aren't your exact hours, that's still how we describe a typical job that

most working-class people have. Antifa, I think it might be pronounced Antifa,

I don't remember. it's an anti-fascist group. we're not going to get into the

politics of fascism, just to be totalitarian, autocratic, on the extreme

right, so very conservative. we often call these right-wingers. we associate this

political philosophy with Nazism and fascism from Mussolini in Italy. was also

very nationalistic. nationalism is just a strong love for your country. to dox

someone, is to reveal their private information. where they live, their name,

where they work. the verb here is to dox, and the noun is doxxing. I would say most

people don't even know what this word means. let's go on! often beginning with

nothing more than a name or even a picture, Fallon says she tracks down

people who have attended far right rallies or meetings. who have sent

death or rape threats on the internet, or who are members of white supremacist

groups like the KKK or National Socialist Movement.

she says she uses property records, tax documents, voter registration databases,

social media, real estate websites and real life surveillance to find them. and

verify their names and locations. and then, she makes a choice.

what kind of dox will she do? okay quick review here, a supremacist is someone who

thinks that they are superior to other people. so a white supremacist is someone

who has white skin and thinks that because of their skin color they are

superior to other people. the KKK stands for the Ku Klux Klan, a group that still

exists today but was much more prominent post-American Civil War. this is the most

famous white supremacist organization in the United States. let's do one more

paragraph! for some of her targets she says she contacts their church or

employer, emailing screenshots of the online abuse they allegedly have

perpetrated. for others she calls their workplaces or colleges to explain that

an employee or student says they are a member of a white supremacist group. and

in the most serious cases, she says she publishes their names on

sympathetic left-wing news sites, like It's Going Down. as a result, people

aligned with Antifa might make posters naming and

identifying the individual as a threat, putting them up around the person's town

or community. okay some more excellent vocabulary here! A rally is a type of

meeting or event. it's supposed to get people who support an idea or a person,

and to energize them. if something allegedly happened it means that there

is a claim that it happened, there's not a hundred percent certainty or

documentation that it happened, but it allegedly, supposedly happened.

purportedly or reputedly also. and if you are aligned with something, for example

if you are aligned with a certain type of philosophy, or some political ideas,

then these are all things that you agree with. for my besties on patreon there

will be a vocabulary review to review this article, some of the politics and a

bit more of the vocabulary that we did not get to yet. if you want to look at

this article the link is in the description, as well as the free audio

books, free books to read, and some magazines too. And of course, any questions that you

have, or to experiment with some of this new vocabulary, put that all in the

comments, yo! always always always always a pleasure!

ciao for now.

Personal Branding & the Future of Creative Monetization (November 14, 2017) - Duration: 20:55.

Hello everybody, welcome to the first iteration of talking about something a

podcast hosted by me Christian something I'm just gonna be talking about life

things and hopefully y'all like it or something I'm gonna be trying to shoot

for like 20 or so minutes because I wanted to be predominantly audio because

there's going to be more opportunities for video to take front-and-center

however I will be recording video as well square format because I think it's

cute so today I spent thinking about personal

branding thinking about my own personal branding but also you know how can I

help and service other people who are attempting to start making their own

content and start refining their voice so one big thing that I am sort of

trying to figure out is what do I provide for other people what can I do

and the way that I've been sort of thinking about it right now is I provide

value via brand consultation so like I can tell you where or you know more

general all-purpose is just like start experimenting start putting stuff out

and asking questions because you're not going to know all the answers at the

beginning there's no way to what I like about what I sort of do is being able to

make a ton of content and hopefully down the road the stuff that sticks will be

told to me or I'll ask instead of it being something where I have to guess we

live in a day and age where R&D is essentially virtually free and R&D

being research and development you can just ask your audience hey do you like

this piece of content or not and you know what I recommend people do nowadays

when personal branding with their own personal branding is you should just

continue to iterate and ask questions and being in on as many platform as

possible on many platforms as possible right now I'm just not I don't feel like

I'm always doing enough and that's just like a general feeling especially since

I haven't built a huge audience I know one thing that I need to focus on is

promotion because I do feel like I have enough content to sort of garner some

sort of a little bit of a following and I have gotten people on you know on

board my facebook almost has 800 likes and the way that I got there was because

of Facebook frames I feel like that's something that is highly undervalued

Facebook frames are something that allow you to sort of you know put your voice

into a frame or put things that you like into a frame and people can search it

and then add to their own frames I know that I don't really use a lot of other

people's stuff that's kind of why I make things so I can have it myself or have

more control over it however I'm more than you know down to help my friends or

support my friend so ya know facebook frames are very good and very

undervalued I think one of the things that can really help brands in the

future at least if you're starting now is really looking at what's under valued

and using that to sort of promote yourself or to create content like if

you want to stay ahead of things you should be using Google Alerts Google

Alerts have been here for a minute and I didn't just discover them but I just

started using different terms and sort of authoring how I wanted it to be

presented to me because right now it's like a daily digest and that's the way

that I want it to be comes at 12 o'clock I feel like midday is typically where a

lot of action happens with me on a business day however it used to be a

bunch of different like different tons of different and like alerts that I was

getting at different times of the day and it was not organized and it wasn't

good but it's very very resourceful because it gives you news on any given

things if you want to stay ahead of what's

going on in Instagram you can put an Instagram and I've been using it the

Instagram one you know something that happened recently is they're testing

hashtags like you're able to look at what hashtags are happening and your

feed so that's something that I wouldn't have known otherwise and honestly

because of how the internet works is going to be for a lot of good

information so if you're not using Google Alerts or potentially even

Twitter Twitter is a platform in itself that I feel like it's pretty undervalued

but at the same time is losing a lot of active users for some reason I don't

think the people who are running Twitter could be doing obviously more I think

there's always going to be a place for real-time communication and social media

so that's why I think tumblr is still here to know if it's gonna take form in

something else anytime soon I don't know but it's definitely something that I

have been thinking about just like Twitter is a very important platform

just because it's one of the first if not just the most popular platform where

it's real-time communication you can DM people you know if you if you want to

have a whole meet up with all your friends or your fans you can just you

know put it up on Twitter and people can see it instantly and you can make that

thing happen you can do that with Instagram but I feel like with Instagram

especially it's this thing where you have to you can't just continuously post

stuff I think it's a good idea to do that you know experiment with that I

want to be able to post like 10 things a day you know but it's gotta it's got to

be valuable or it's got to work for your audience and platform because everything

varies for everything and there's infinite ways of doing all this stuff

but yeah anyway so back to the original point you know personal branding for

everyone looks different and can be different but I really really highly

just especially when you're just first starting to figure out your voice to

just exercise and explore because you know that's where you can start refining

what you really do and finding your voice I still feel like I'm in that

process of finding and maybe it's just like the infinite thing where you're

always working on it but you know I'm someone who can record videos you know

we're doing this right now or also podcast where you know I know how to

make a podcast I know what hosting services you can use I can make the art

for the cover I also code you know I do a bunch of different things and you know

it's it's you have to sort of explore all these things and you really have to

present yourself as someone who can only do the things that you are doing that's

what personal branding ultimately is and you know I've been just thinking about

that but then also been thinking about how can you sustain personal branding

how can you sustain making art if your personal branding revolves around art

because I guess I could do something else but most of the time I see it's

just like people who want to make like podcast or whatever so how can you you

know keep doing this and a lot of these platforms that I've talked about or just

generally talk about do you have monetization you know so you can like

make money off of these things YouTube's got ads Twitter's got ads I don't know

if it's like really suitable for a lot of the content that's put up on Twitter

but that's also an option Instagram not right now I don't think unless you're

working with another brand Facebook is got watch and there are ads on that but

that's only being rolled out for a lot of bigger publishers and creators so for

the most part some of these platforms do but you have to put in some time like

even YouTube used to be something where everyone could monetize now it has to

you have to have like 10,000 views so I can't currently monetize because only

have 50 yeah 50 subs and you know I don't have enough

views for that but the point is that there's a way to make money off of this

there's a way for it to sustain itself there's a way for you to invest back

into your craft so not only can you break even you can also you know get

more money to put back into it because essentially what we're all doing is

making money doing things that we love you know just living our lives

essentially and you know any investment that you really make towards yourself is

towards the business which is another thing that hopefully I don't drop out of

my mind because business is something I think some creatives don't know how to

do I've been told that admittedly I don't know how much of that is true but

you know there are other means of making money off of these platforms like

patreon or if you are a person who's really in the technology using crypto

currencies as a frictionless way to tip I think crypto currencies are going to

be a big player and how people are making money off of their content just

because you're able to just send money to a wallet and then that can be

exchanged for money depending on if you go to an exchange or whatnot so patreon

is really good but I feel like there's a friction because it's like you can only

donate as much as the Creator allows and

it's per month so if you want to donate six dollars and sixty six cents unless

the creator of that patreon has that total up you can't actually give that to

them so that's like a barrier and also it's monthly so I don't know if like

everybody's gonna be most dedicated fans are which is basically the assumption of

the platform but I feel like there is gonna be some times where you're just

like okay I don't really want to donate this month I'm not really engaged with

the content or I don't have the money for it so you know I rather do some sort

of alternate way and I believe that people including myself are

or inclined to just tip instead of having to purchase something say on like

Bandcamp you know let's say like someone has

music it's free and you can name your own price but they also have a patreon

and you're just like I just want to give you like 10 dollars and not have to

think about something or make an account or whatever you know there's got to be a

frictionless way for that to happen I think cryptocurrencies are going to be

the way so yeah you know I try to provide value by telling people what

they can do and also promote and you know hopefully give advice to how they

should do branding and doing their craft and then also there's ways of money

doing monetization because that's always a big worry but also you have to start

you can't like not you can't hold back like the whole thing is like you should

document this process you should I do this daily vlog because you know Gary

Vee was like yo go ahead start documenting you know you're not perfect

at the beginning you can sort of do all this stuff and you know in the shadows

and then come out and be like I'm an expert but I think people really

appreciate and can build credibility by having a work and documentation saying

and showing more so showing that you did these things and what worked and what

didn't work like that's gonna be valuable in the future that's the

long-term that's like very very valuable I feel like it's gonna be very valuable

because it's like you know what have these popular people these famous people

you just had like the guide or at least their blueprint out to the public you

know people would be able to sort of take what they need and that's valuable

because if they haven't tried it already then they can see it being done by

people who have the credibility already so documentation start right now make

you can make money off of it don't expect just like if you make not

expecting really then you'll probably go pretty far and moreover to this last

thing that I want to talk Oh business so I feel like business is

something that can go neglected for some creative some creatives who don't

understand potentially how to manage money how to - up that to make

monetization moves you know understanding PayPal understanding

crypto currencies like Bitcoin or aetherium understanding that you know

there has to be some sort of framework or else you're just going to sort of

fold or something is just going to give and when you're first doing all this

stuff you need to try to have that in mind because I think even me now where

I'm not even really a big person at all there's what there's like so many places

where I'm just like wow I wish there was a system for this or that and you know

that's why I want to make tools and help other people but you know logistics are

super important because it's the only way where you can scale and sustain

because everybody can make the odd music video or or album and you know put it up

on Bandcamp but if you want this to be something that sustains itself that you

have to really put stuff into order and I don't know there's and it's not even

that hard it's just really just documenting and keeping track of a lot

of things and asking questions and trying to just you know just work it out

I don't know I when I think business I always just think like receipts

essentially you know if I were to have all the stuff that I'm doing audited you

know would there be a trail of you know who pot things or if I bought things

keeping track of money understanding that like when I invest in something

where where's the return you know how much money am I gonna make from it so it

can actually be useful in the short term because a lot of like long-term

investments usually come in the term like our time I feel like a lot of

things I can teach myself that are investments are typically time and then

short-term are like money thing like if I buy a new laptop

it would make making making things faster

however it's not necessarily something that I just need now because I can still

make on this laptop it's just like faster so do I really need to be

investing in that what's another thing the g7x so it's a camera that I want it

would make making vlogs it's not easier as in like less steps then it would

definitely make it more fleshed out it would definitely make I feel like people

engage more because there will be more video aka a story I'm looking if I

document a lot I can get a lot out of that I can find a story and get that

story and have people engage with a story a day essentially instead of oh

here's me trying to plan and make things and that's the episode me ranting about

something that isn't in a format that's really conducive to just ranting because

I feel like this podcast is a really good outlet for me to just be like this

is what happened boom or this is what I'm thinking about boom because people

are ready for that with the vlog I'm just so used to a lot of thoughts and

also just what's happening in the day and since most of my days end up being

like I've made the vlog and I sat on my desk all day or I made the vlog and I

went to work or I made the vlog I went out of the state or or something and

then you know the day after I came back and it's not you know so some that can

be boring I know for me since I don't personally watch my vlogs every day I

don't think if it's I don't think it's that it's boring it's that there's

something that I'm going for that I haven't achieved yet but back to the the

business side um you know it might not be necessary for me to even buy that

either there are things that are more pressing like on my bigger computer

where I stream my computer crashes you know when I'm doing OBS yesterday I

was playing black ops and it just crashed and we can't have that you know

so there's things that are more pressing that you should be able to sort of

navigate through and that's what business ultimately is it's like are you

making smart choices so you can actually sustain this because if I just blow all

my money on some on one purchase that I only used once that's not a good

business move because it's not sustainable so you know you know and

potentially business could have a bad connotation sort of people being afraid

of you know using their craft to make money when ultimately business is just

sustainability some businesses don't even like try to make profit you know

they just break even that's rare but ultimately they just need to at least

break even so they can keep doing whatever they are doing and if they want

to evolve or change or go in a different direction or pivot that's when they

typically are trying to make profit or they just want money but yeah that's

really it just personal branding and you know making money and just experimenting

and doing what you want to do because when you're at the beginning there's

like I can attest to this because I'm not popular yet like I put out content

every day and officially since today I've been doing it for about every day

so that's like 365 days boy you know I have room I have space to just

experiment I don't have an audience yet and the people that do consume my

content I'm usually asking questions on Twitter

I pull recently on Facebook they just release polls for pages and you can

basically pull everywhere on Facebook now so I ask people does I want more

Facebook frames you know that's what everybody said some person on Twitter

asked me like yo can you do more beat stuff can you show me how you make your

beats I'm like yeah so you just you know R&D is free essentially so just keep

making and keep doing because it's not if it's when

and I honestly believe volume is what's going to be the next thing because I

think when things are inaccessible that's when quality stands out because

it's like oh you know if you can only get things once and a couple of times

and boom all right cool that's it but when your thing is like

volume that's it's gonna be volume it's gonna be volume I don't know I don't

know what I was trying to say with that but the volume is going to be the next

thing because everything is becoming more accessible so yeah that's it that's

episode this is the first episode my camera just shut off I don't know why I

shut off I'm disappointed by it yeah thank you so much for listening sorry if

you didn't go do a thing go do something support ice cream gang gang and I will

see y'all on the next episode and wherever that is I don't know where it's

gonna be I think it's gonna be here it might not be out now
