An interesting new Republican talking point emerged over this weekend with regards to
the Senate version of the American Health Care Act and nobody articulated it better
than Kellyanne Conway.
Take a look.
What about the President's promise?
What about that campaign promise about no cuts to Medicaid and Medicare?
Now that's changed.
Only in Washington would something like this be called a cut, where overtime there are
protections in place for the disabled, for the elderly, for the poor, for the nonworking
poor-
With less money.
For children, for pregnant women and it's going to allow states to decide what they
need to help those in need-
Sure, with less money.
In their states.
States will get less money.
No, not necessarily.
It depends.
It really depends on the state.
It depends on the situation.
800 billion is being cut out of it.
You keep on giving that one statistic without reading the entire bill.
I've read the bill.
I'm not Nancy Pelosi, I decided to read it ahead of time, before and I'm sure-
800 billion is being put in somewhere else?
No Allison, what's going to happen is, there are many different funding mechanisms at play
here.
What governors will do is they will have an opportunity to either get block grants or
stick with the current situation and as you remember in the House bill, late in the game,
there was an additional many billions of dollars infusion of cash to guarantee that very narrow
slice of the population who went with 63 days of noncontinuous coverage and also happen
to reside in the state where that state will opt out of that type of Medicaid funding,
so there are many different protections.
Now, I just don't want everybody scaring people to think that they're going to lose their
benefits and their coverage without giving a full accounting of everything that this
includes.
According to Kellyanne Conway, even though the bill specifically says, "We are cutting
800 billion dollars from Medicaid", even though the House version says, "We're cutting 800
billion dollars from Medicaid," there's no cuts to Medicaid, according to Kellyanne Conway.
That CNN clip was just one of several that she did this past weekend where she said the
exact same thing.
She told George Stephanopoulos this bill absolutely does not include any cuts to Medicaid and
that is a sentiment that was shared with several other members of the Trump administration
who appeared in national media this past weekend.
All of them said the same thing.
There's no cutes to Medicaid.
What are you, crazy?
I read the bill, unlike Nancy Pelosi, which is what Conway said to CNN, whatever that
means, but there are cuts.
There's verifiable cuts.
We can look at the bill and see that.
We can look at what the CBO said, people who read the bill a hell of a lot more intensely
than you, Kellyanne and we know that those cuts are there and you're saying, "Well, the
states can just take it up."
With what?
With what, Kellyanne?
There's no money.
Medicaid money goes to the states, you idiot and you're drying it up.
You don't understand the first thing about American political policy or how anything
in the realm of politics actually works.
I know you're doing your best to lie to cover your boss' ass because he told us 100%, no
cuts to Medicaid proved to be a big fat liar on that issue, but you have to understand
at this point, the American public, most of us, can read.
We understand what 800 billion in Medicaid cuts actually means.
It means, you're cutting Medicaid by 800 billion dollars, but here you are going on every national
media outlet you can lying about it, being called out by the hosts on your lies and you
know what she responded with?
Kellyanne Conway said, "Well, poor people can just get a job."
That's what she said.
Poor people can just go get a job.
First of all, as if it's that easy to just get a job in this economy.
Second of all, it's that easy to get a job in this economy that also gives you healthcare
benefits.
Kellyanne Conway is so disconnected from reality right now that her rantings have gone from
humorous and amusing, making fun of her, to down right dangerous because this woman is
representing everything that the Republican Party and the Trump administration want to
do.
They're trying to sell you this big lie that there are no cuts to Medicaid, the money's
going to come back around from some other place, but it won't.
Those cuts to Medicaid, do you know where they're going?
That money is going instead of to poor people to get health insurance, it's going their
wealthy donors.
It's going to the top 1%.
It's going back in Donald Trump's pocket, but Kellyanne Conway obviously can't say that,
so she lies to us all and says, "Don't worry, absolutely no cuts to Medicaid as long as
you ignore that part of the legislation that says, we're cutting Medicaid by 800 billion
dollars."

MIGUEL ALMAGUER HAS THIS UNLIKELY STORY.
GOOD MORNING TO YOU. >> Reporter: GOOD MORNING.
FRANK KERRIGAN IS GRATEFUL HIS SON IS ALIVE.
NOW, HE WANTS ANSWERS. HE WAS MISTAKENLY TOLD HIS SON
WAS KILLED. THE MIXUP LEFT UNKREKTDED FOR
WEEKS. THE FAMILY IS FACING EMOTIONAL
TRAUMA AND IS MOVING FORWARD WITH LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE
COUNTY. THE EMOTIONS ARE STILL RAW FOR
FRANK KERRIGAN AND HIS DAUGHTER, CAROL.
JUST LAST MONTH THEY HELD A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR THEIR SON
AND BROTHER, FRANKIE. SAYING GOOD-BYE, LAYING HIM TO
REST NEAR HIS MOTHER'S GRAVE OR SO THEY THOUGHT.
THE NIGHTMARE STARTED ON MAY 6th, WITH A PHONE CALL.
>> I'M SORRY, MR. KERRIGAN, TO TELL YOU THIS OVER THE
TELEPHONE, BUT YOUR SON IS DECEASED.
>> Reporter: KERRIGAN WAS DEVASTATED BY THE NEWS THAT HIS
57-YEAR-OLD SON HAD BEEN FOUND DEAD.
HE WAS TOLD HE HAD BEEN IDENTIFIED BY HIS FINGERPRINTS.
>> AND AS SOON AS THEY SAID IT WAS BY HIS FINGERPRINTS, THAT
WAS THE DAGGER IN MY HEART. THAT IS WHAT -- I KNOW HE WAS
GONE. >> Reporter: FRANKIE IS MENTALLY
ILL AND HOMELESS. BUT THE FAMILY HAD HEARD FROM
HIM FROM TIME TO TIME. >> IT WAS MY WORST FEAR COME
TRUE. >> Reporter: BUT MORE THAN TWO
WEEKS AFTER THE FUNERAL, A FAMILY FRIEND WHO WAS A PAL
BEARER CALLED WITH THE UNBELIEVABLE NEWS.
HE SAID, MR. K., YOUR SON IS ALIVE.
I SAID, OH, MY GOD. FRANK GETS ON THE PHONE AND SAYS
HI, DAD, HOW ARE YOU DOING? >> Reporter: THE BODY POLICE
FOUND WAS NOT FRANKIE. THE CORONER'S OFFICE TELLING THE
LAWYER THAT THE BODY HAD BEEN MISIDENTIFIED USING THE DRIVER'S
LICENSE PHOTO IN THE SYSTEM. THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S
DEPARTMENT IS CONDUCTING AN INTERNAL INVESTIGATION,
RELEASING A STATEMENT OVER THE WEEKEND THAT READS IN PART, THE
DEPARTMENT EXTENDS REGRETS FOR ANY EMOTIONAL STRESS CAUSED AS A
RESULT OF THIS UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT.
THE KERRIGAN FAMILY AND THEIR LAWYERS SAY THEY WILL FIGHT TO
MAKE SURE THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.
>> THERE'S NO EXCUSE. IT'S A HORRIFIC THING.
A TERRIBLE THING THAT HAPPENED TO THEM AND IT SHOULDN'T HAVE
HAPPENED. >> WE'RE SO HAPPY FOR FRANK TO
BE WITH US AND WE'RE JOYOUS. AND AT THE SAME TIME, WE STILL
FEEL THE PAIN. >> Reporter: THE KERRIGAN FAMILY
SAYS THEY SPENT $20,000 ON A FUNERAL THAT INCLUDED RELATIVES

TIME. >> HAVE A GREAT DAY.
>> APPRECIATE IT. LET'S TURNOVER TO SENATOR BERNIE
SANDERS OF VERMONT. HE'S NOT CONFLICTED ABOUT THE
REPUBLICAN HEALTH CARE BILL. HE SHOELDING RALLIES IN
PENNSYLVANIA, WEST VIRGINIA AND OHIO IN AN ATTEMPT TO GENERATE
OPPOSITION TO THE BILL AND SAYS IF IT PASSES THOUSANDS WILL DIE.
SENATOR SANDERS WITH ME NOW FROM COLUMBUS, OHIO.
WELCOME BACK, SIR. >> GOOD TO BE WITH YOU, CHUCK.
>> I WANT TO FIRST ADDRESS THAT RHETORIC.
YOU TWEETED THE ISSUE OF SAYING YES YOU THOUGHT PEOPLE WOULD DIE
AND THEN SENATOR HATCH RETWEETED AND SAID LET IT BE CLEAR THIS IS
NOT TRYING TO BE OVERLY DRAMATIC.
THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WILL DIE IF REPUBLICAN HEALTH CARE BILL
BECOMES LAW. HATCH RETWEETED AND SAID THIS
BRIEF TIME WHEN WE WERE NOT ACCUSING THOSE WE DISAGREE WITH
OF MURDER WAS NICE WHILE IT LASTED.
ANY REGRET OF USING THE RHETORIC YOU USED.
>> CHUCK, CHUCK, WHAT THE REPUBLICAN PROPOSAL DOES IS
THROW 23 MILLION AMERICANS OFF OF HEALTH INSURANCE.
WHAT HARVARD UNIVERSITY, WHAT A PART OF HARVARD UNIVERSITY, A
SCIENTIST THERE DETERMINED IS WHEN YOU THROW 23 MILLION PEOPLE
OFF OF HEALTH INSURANCE, PEOPLE WITH CANCER, PEOPLE WITH HEART
DISEASE AND PEOPLE WITH DIABETES THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WOULD DIE.
I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE TO SAY IT. THIS IS NOT ME.
THIS IS STUDY AFTER STUDY MAKING THIS POINT.
IT'S COMMON SENSE. IF YOU HAVE CANCER AND YOUR
INSURANCE IS TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU THERE IS A LIKELIHOOD YOU WILL
DIE AND CERTAINLY A LIKELIHOOD THAT YOU WILL BECOME MUCH SICKER
THAN YOU ARE TODAY. THAT'S THE FACTS.
UNPLEASANT BUT IT'S TRUE AND SECOND OF ALL WHILE THEY THROW
23 MILLION PEOPLE OFF OF HEALTH INSURANCE AND DEFUND PLANNED
PARENTHOOD AND RAISE PREMIUMS FOR OLDER WORKERS, PEOPLE IN
THEIR 60s THEY SEE PREMIUMS THAT WILL BE 50 OR 75% HIGHER THEY
ARE GOING TO PROVIDE SOME $500 BILLION IN TAX BREAKS FOR THE
TOP 2% TO THE INSURANCE COMPANIES AND THE DRUG COMPANIES
IN ORDER TO GIVE TAX BREAKS TO BILLIONAIRES.
THAT'S WHAT THE ENTIRE DEBATE IS ABOUT AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT
BOTHERS ME 60% OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS
IN THIS HEALTH CARE BILL. >> I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT
PROCESS. LOOK I THINK SENATOR JOHNSON
BROUGHT UP A GOOD POINT EARLIER THIS WEEK THAT I ASKED HIM ABOUT
WHICH IS THIS IDEA THAT OBAMACARE PASSED WITH JUST THE
DEMOCRATS. IF IT PASSES IT'S ONLY GOING TO
PASS JUST WITH THE REPUBLICANS AND NO LAW IS EVER SUSTAINABLE
IN THIS TOWN WHEN ONLY ONE PARTY HAS A PIECE OF IT.
WHEN ONLY ONE PARTY IS INVESTED IN IT'S SUCCESS.
IF ANOTHER PARTY IS INVESTED IN IT'S FAILURE SO MY QUESTION IS,
THIS PROCESS HAS BEEN A MESS. IS THERE ANYWAY OF MIXING THIS
PROCESS IN NEXT WEEK? STOPPING IT, STARTING FROM
SCRATCH? IF THE REPUBLICANS SAY WE'LL GET
RID OF RECONCILIATION IF DEMOCRATS COME TO THE TABLE
WOULD YOU COME TO THE TABLE. >> WAIT A MINUTE.
PLEASE DON'T SAY COME TO THE TABLE.
WHAT THE REPUBLICANS HAVE DONE AND THAT'S WHAT SENATOR JOHNSON
SAID AND HE'S RIGHT. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ONE-SIXTH
OF THE AMERICAN ECONOMY. AN ISSUE THAT IMPACTS 2,300
MILLION AMERICANS. THE INSURANCE COMPANIES HAVE NOT
COME FORWARD. THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
HAS NOT COME FORWARD. THERE'S BEEN ZERO DEBATE.
ALL OF THIS IS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.
>> NO, I UNDERSTAND THAT. I HEAR YOU ON THAT.
I'M SAYING IF THERE IS, IF SENATOR JOHNSON GETS HIS WAY
WHICH IS HE WANTS TO DELAY THIS PROCESS AND DELAY THE VOTE AND
HAVE A PROCESS, HAVE A HEARING, SOUNDS AS IF HE WANTS THAT.
IF MITCH McCONNELL SAYS I'M GIVING UP RECONCILIATION BECAUSE
TRYING TO DO THIS ON A PARTISAN ONLY VOTE IS DAMAGING OVERALL,
AT THAT POINT ARE YOU OPEN TO SOME SORT OF BIPARTISAN
COMPROMISE? >> OF COURSE.
WELL, WE'RE OPEN TO LET'S HAVE THE DISCUSSION.
THAT'S WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN. SENATOR JOHNSON IS RIGHT.
THERE'S NO WAY IN GOD'S HEALTH THIS BILL SHOULD BE PASSED THIS
WEEK. PEOPLE IN WISCONSIN DON'T KNOW
WHAT'S IN IT. PEOPLE IN VERMONT DON'T KNOW
WHAT'S IN IT. WE NEED A SERIOUS DISCUSSION AND
I'M CONFIDENT THAT EVERYONE WOULD WANT TO HOLD THAT
DISCUSSION. WE'RE THE ONLY MAJOR COUNTRY ON
EARTH NOT TO GUARENTEE HEALTH CARE TO ALL PEOPLE AS A RIGHT.
THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT HAS PROBLEMS.
DEDUCTIBLES ARE TOO HIGH AND CO-PAYMENTS ARE TOO HIGH AND WE
SHOULD ADDRESS THAT BUT SOMETHING IS WRONG WHEN WE
REMAIN THE ONLY COUNTRY NOT TO GUARENTEE HEALTH CARE TO ALL
PEOPLE AS A RIGHT. I AM GOING TO GO FORWARD WITH A
MEDICARE FOR ALL SINGLE PAYER PROGRAM AND I THINK THAT'S THE
DIRECTION LONG-TERM WE SHOULD BE GOING.
>> LET ME ASK YOU ABOUT WHERE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS OVERALL.
YOU SAID YOU WANT TO GO THERE AND THAT'S NOT NECESSARILY A
UNIFIED POSITION INSIDE THE LEFT UMBRELLA IN THIS COUNTRY.
I SAY LEFT BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT TECHNICALLY A MEMBER OF THE
DEMOCRATIC PARTY BUT WHY DO YOU THINK DEMOCRATS LOST THAT
SPECIAL ELECTION IN GEORGIA LAST WEEK?
>> IT'S MORE THAN THE SPECIAL ELECTION.
FOR THE LAST NINE YEARS WE LOST THE SENATE, WE LOST THE U.S.
HOUSE. 2-THIRDS ARE CONTROLLED BY
REPUBLICANS. A THOUSAND SEATS HAVE BEEN LOST
TO REPUBLICANS AND STATE LEGISLATURES ALL OVER THIS
COUNTRY. I'LL TELL YOU WHAT I THINK, I
THINK THERE IS A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF DEMORALIZATION ON THE PART OF
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WITH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, WITH THE
REPUBLICAN PARTY. I THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN
MANY CASES ARE SEEING THEMSELVES WORKING LONGER HOURS FOR LOWER
WAGES. THEY'RE WORRIED ABOUT THEIR KIDS
NOT BEING ABLE TO GO TO COLLEGE AND WORRIED ABOUT WHAT'S GOING
TO HAPPEN TO THEM WHEN THEY'RE RETIRING AND SEEING ALL NEW
INCOME AND WEALTH GOING TO THE TOP 1%.
THERE'S AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF PAIN IN THIS COUNTRY AND PEOPLE
ARE SAYING DOES ANYBODY IN WASHINGTON KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON
IN MY LIFE? I'M 60 YEARS OF AGE AND I HAVE
NOTHING IN THE BANK AND I'M GOING TO BE RETIRING IN FIVE
YEARS OR $50,000 IN COLLEGE DEBT AND I CAN'T FIND A DESCENT JOB.
DO REPUBLICANS KNOW IT? DO THE DEMOCRATS KNOW IT AND WE
HAVE TO SAY WE'LL BE ON THE SIDE OF THE WORKING CLASS OF THIS
COUNTRY. STAND UP TO WALL STREET AND THE
DRUG COMPANIES THAT RIP US OFF EVERY DAY AND THE INSURANCE
COMPANIES AND WE'RE GOING TO FIGHT FOR AN AGENDA THAT MAKES
SENSE. >> I'LL LEAVE

The Original DuckTales Is Now On iTunes! | Secret Screening - Duration: 6:00.
For those who missed the news, quietly and with zero fanfare Disney has released the
entire original series of DuckTales on iTunes!
There's some good news and bad news attached with this story, but don't worry.
I'll guide you through it.
That's right folks, for the first time ever you can now own all 100 episodes of the original
series of DuckTales.
This includes the five part pilot, all five parts of Time Is Money, all five parts of
Super DuckTales, and both parts of The Golden Goose.
Most importantly it also includes the remaining episodes Disney never bothered to release
on DVD in often teased but never delivered fourth box set.
This means you can finally purchase some of the best episodes of the series!
Like Allowance Day, Dough Ray Me, My Mother The Psychic, Beaglemania, and The Masked Mallard.
Many of which haven't been aired in years.
However, there is some bad news.
To make these old episodes more palatable to impulse buy, they've cleaved the series
into 6 volumes, each priced at 14.99.
Considering each volume has 16 episodes, save for the last two that have 18 and 17 respectively
in order to keep their multi-part episode arcs in the same volume, you're getting
some pretty decent value per episode.
Spread over the whole series, you get 100 episodes for 89.94 plus tax.
At roughly 89 cents per episode, it seems like a bargain.
Especially when they have the gall to charge 1.99 per episode outside of the volume bundle.
But is it a bargain?
Unfortunately, not really.
You see right now, you can get volumes 1 through 3 of the DuckTales DVD box sets for roughly
9 dollars each on Amazon.
Links in the description below.
Since the newly released final season episodes are spread across Volumes 5 and 6 on iTunes,
that means you can still pick up all 100 episodes for under 60 dollars even after the temporary
sale is over!
Even factoring in that you're rebuying 10 episodes - the Time Is Money and Super DuckTales
story arcs - you're still saving 30 bucks over the full iTunes price.
Now I know what you're saying: "But Doug!
DVDs are so two thousands!
The first three box sets are in cruddy SD!!
Why would I buy those?!"
Well, here's the rest of the bad news.
All of these episodes are in SD.
Seriously!
All of the footage I've been showing you has been from the last two volumes offered
on iTunes!
In addition to being SD, they look like really dingy and dirty digital transfers from a fan's
VHS collection.
Look.
I know HD remasterings cost a lot of money.
Especially when they have around 50 hours worth of content to painstakingly go through
frame by frame.
But if they had taken the time to clean these transfers up or at least make them look a
little better than the episodes they released on DVD, then I would have gladly shelled out
full price for easy digital downloads of the whole series.
But in it's current state, I strongly recommend you invest in the DVDs if you haven't already.
They're just going to get cheaper from here on out, and as a cool bonus, you get a nice
looking box to display on your shelf.
Additionally, there are a few other Disney Afternoon titles that snuck into iTunes.
You can now purchase the whole series of Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Goof
Troop, and Gargoyles.
I was surprised to find out that both Gummi Bears and Darkwing Duck are not available.
Perhaps they have issues with their digital distribution rights?
I don't know.
However they do have DVD sets out that basically cover those entire series.
You can of course find links to everything in the description below.
Also, what do you think?
Will you be buying these classic episodes digitally on iTunes?
Will you hold out for a HD remastered version of DuckTales, or do you not mind that they're
SD?
Will Disney ever get around to releasing shorter less beloved Disney Afternoon shows like Bonkers,
Quack Pack, or The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show?
Sound off in the comments below.
Thanks for watching, and until next time, be sure to share, like, and subscribe.
Because you'll always have a ticket for my next Secret Screening
Hey fans, followers, and new viewers alike!
In an attempt to release more videos regularly, I've decided to start making short form
videos that highlight some of my favorite books, games, TV shows, movies, places, and
experiences - as well as a place where I can signal boost breaking media news (like this
DuckTales iTunes discovery) without the need of setting up my whole studio, present to
a camera, and lose hours upon hours to editing.
Secret Screening isn't going anywhere, so don't panic.
I'm still going to present to a camera, and provide the same high quality analysis
you've come to expect.
But using this format - which I toyed around with when I tried to cover Riverdale - frees
me up to dedicate the time I need to research and make the longer format Secret Screening
episodes, while still having the time to share cool stuff multiple times per week.
So thank you for checking out this test drive of my new format!
If you have a moment, please sound off in the comments below and let me know what you
think.
And stay tuned - I've got a lot of great videos coming up soon!

Erin Brockovich: We're Facing A Decade Of Eearthquakes | MSNBC - Duration: 5:34.
>>> EIGHT EARTHQUAKES IN JUST SEVEN DAYS.
YEAH, THAT'S THE NEW NORMAL IN OKLAHOMA.
YOU THINK WE'D BE TALKING ABOUT CALIFORNIA, RIGHT?
IN OKLAHOMA, 2008, THEY EXPERIENCED JUST TWO QUAKES OF
MAGNITUDE 2.3 OR HIGHER. IN THE ANYONE YEARS INSURANCE
IS, THAT NUMBER'S EXPLODED. MANY SAY THE STATE'S BOOMING ONL
BUSINESS IS TO BLAME FOR IT. CONSUMER ADVOCATE AND
ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST ERIN BROCKOVICH.
I'M CURIOUS HOW YOU GOT INTO THIS ISSUE.
>> ANY TIME THERE'S SOMETHING THAT'S HAPPENING ENVIRONMENTALLY
AND WITH WATER, PEOPLE WILL OFTENTIMES COME TO ME AND THAT'S
THE PROCESS THAT HAPPENED HERE. BECAUSE EARTHQUAKES AREN'T
NORMAL IN OKLAHOMA. SO PEOPLE AS THEY BEGAN
IMMEDIATELY STARTED REACHING OUT TO ME.
>> OKAY, PEOPLE DON'T NECESSARILY THINK OF EARTHQUAKES
AND WATER SO PUT THIS ALL TOGETHER.
IS IT FRACING, IS THAT WHAT IT IS THAT LEADS TO EARTHQUAKES?
AND HOW SOLID, IF SO, IS THE EVIDENCE LINKING IT TO THIS HUGE
SPIKE IN OKLAHOMA? >> WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE FRAC IS
YOU GENERATE AND USE A GREAT DEAL OF WATER.
BILLIONS OF BARRELS OF WATER AS A MATTER OF FACT.
AND WHAT THEY DO IS THE FRACING PROCESS ISN'T CAUSING THE
EARTHQUAKES. IT'S THE DEEP WATER, THE WASTE
WATER THAT IS DEEPLY INJECTED INTO THE SUBSURFACE THAT'S
PUTTING PRESSURE ON THESE NEARBY FAULTS THAT'S CAUSING THEM TO
MOVE. AND STATE AND FEDERAL OFFICIALS
HAVE AGREED AND SCIENCE AS WELL AS THE USGS, THAT IT IS THE
PRESSURE FROM THE INJECTION OF THIS WASTE WATER THAT IS, IN
FACT, CAUSING THESE EARTHQUAKES IN OKLAHOMA.
>> OKAY, SO THIS NEWS IS OUT THERE, AND WE'RE SAYING THAT
IT'S FACT FROM SCIENTISTS. SO OKLAHOMA'S OIL INDUSTRY HAS
MADE SOME ADJUSTMENTS. FOR EXAMPLE, THEY HAVE SHUT DOWN
OR REDUCED THE OUTPUT OF SEVEN. SO WHAT MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE?
>> WELL, THEY HAVE DONE THAT.
AND, YOU KNOW, THEY CAN CONTINUE TO REDUCE THAT EVEN FURTHER.
SO THE DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE THOUGH.
THE HORSE IS OUT OF THE BARN, IF YOU WILL.
BECAUSE SCIENTISTS SAYING EVEN IF THEY CONTINUE TO DO THAT, IN
THE FUTURE, THIS RISK OF A 5.0, 6.0 OR GREATER WILL CONTINUE FOR
THOSE IN OKLAHOMA. >> AND HOW LONG INTO THE FUTURE
DOES THE RISK CONTINUE? I MEAN, IS IT A COUPLE OF YEARS?
IS IT A DECADE? IS IT LONGER?
>> OH, IT COULD BE A DECADE OR LONGER OR DECADES.
YOU KNOW, IN 2014, WHERE IT WAS ABOUT 12 BILLION BARRELS OF
WASTE WATER WAS DEEPLY INJECTED AND IS PUTTING PRESSURES ON
THESE FAULTS, AND SO IT COULD BE DECADES BEFORE THE RISK IS
REDUCED. SO IT'S CERTAINLY A PROBLEM AND,
YOU KNOW, WE'VE BEEN OUT THERE. I WAS JUST OUT THERE A COUPLE OF
WEEKS AGO. AND I'M FROM L.A.
I HAVEN'T FELT AN EARTHQUAKE IN A WHILE.
ALL A SUDDEN, WE'RE ALL GOINGOI UH, EARTHQUAKE?
SO IT'S VERY CONCERNING TO THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE.
THEY FEEL VERY FEARFUL. AND THEY WANT INFORMATION AND
FACTS. LOOK, WE WANT THE OIL AND GAS
INDUSTRY TO BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR AND DO WHAT THEY NEED TO DO,
RIGHT, ENVIRONMENTALLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED.
IT'S A PROBLEM. AND THEY COULD REDUCE IT EVEN
FURTHER, BUT IN THE FUTURE THE CHANCE OF A 6.0 EARTHQUAKE OR
GREATER IS STILL GOING TO EXIST. >> OKAY, WE'RE SEEING MAGNITUDES
ON OUR LAST GRAPHIC, IF MY DIRECTOR WANTS TO PUT THAT BACK
UP FOR US, IN THE 2s, THE 3s, BUT YOU REPORTED THAT ONE YEAR
WHERE THERE WERE ON THE RICHTER SCALE IN THE 5 MAGNITUDE.
HOW ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE A 7? IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?
>> WE WILL DEFINITELY TELL YOU THAT THE SCIENCE IS TALKING
ABOUT AND STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS AND FEDERAL OFFICIALS
THAT IN THE FUTURE THERE'S STILL A RISK OF A MAGNITUDE 6 AND
GREATER. IN 2016, THEY HAD THREE, THEY
HAD A 5.0 IN CUSHING THAT DESTROYED BUILDINGS IN HISTORIC
DOWNTOWN. THE BIGGEST WAS IN PAWNEE AND
THAT WAS A 5.8. ALL THREE OF THOSE OCCURRING IN
2016. NOW, WE HAVEN'T SEEN AS BIG A
MAGNITUDE, BUT THEY CONTINUE TO HAVE LITTLE ONES.
LIKE I SAID, WHEN WE'RE THERE, THEY HAD A COUPLE AROUND 3.8.
BUT THE FUTURE IS SHOWING, BECAUSE OF THAT PRESSURE AND
THAT INJECTION THAT THEY'VE DONE, WE'RE NOT GOING TO GET
AWAY FROM THE FACT THAT THERE COULD, IN FACT, BE A 6.0 OR
GREATER MAGNITUDE. >> CAN I ASK YOU TALK ABOUT THE
CURRENT EPA CHIEF, SCOTT PRUITT? NOW HE'S WITH THETHE TRUMP
ADMINISTRATION. WHAT'S HIS RECORD WITH REGARD TO
THESE QUAKES? >> WELL, HE'S CERTAINLY AWARE OF
THEM AND HASN'T DISAGREED THAT BECAUSE OF THE FRACING AND THE
INJECTION OF THEIR WASTE WATER THAT THE INDUSTRY HAS CREATED
THIS SITUATION. THE OKLAHOMANS, YOU KNOW, THEY
HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS. WHEN I'M OUT THERE, WE'RE JUST
TRYING TO FOCUS WITH THEM ABOUT THESE EARTHQUAKE, DAMAGE THAT'S
BEEN DONE TO THEIR HOMES, HOW THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO GET THEM
FIXED. SO IT WOULD BE VARYING, BUT HE'S
NOT GOING TO DISAGREE

YEARS BEHIND BARS, ARGUING HE
PUT PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE.
ANTOINETTE TAKING A LIVE LOOK
OUTSIDE OF HER BOSTON, LOOK AT
THE FLUFFY WHITE CLOUDS AND
BLUE SKY.
REALLY PERFECT TEMPERATURES.
ERIKA: REALLY COMFORTABLE.
KELLY ANN: IT'S MAKING THING YOU
-- THINGS FEEL ABSOLUTELY
PERFECT.
WE HAVE A FEW SHOWERS TO THE
WEST.
YOU MENTIONED THE PUPPY, WHITE
CLOUDS.
SEVERAL FILTER EAST THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON.
RIGHT NOW, THAT IS LOOKING
PRETTY DRY.
THOSE CLOUDS WILL PUSH EASTWARD
OVER THE AFTERNOON.
THERE IS THE CHANCE FOR SOME OF
THESE SHOWERS TO PRODUCE A SPOT
SHOWER OR TWO.
IT IS NOT LOOKING WIDESPREAD OR
STRONG, BUT IT IS SOMETHING WE
WILL BE MONITORING UNTIL 4:0
UNTIL 9:00 THIS EVENING.
NOTICE THE SHOWERS, THOUGH THEY
ARE VERY SCANT, STRETCHING
NORTHWARD.
THAT IS WHERE WE SEE THE BEST
CHANCE OF SHOWERS THROUGH THE
EVENING.
BY TOMORROW MORNING AS YOU ARE
GETTING READY FOR THAT MORNING
COMMUTE, IT IS LOOKING NICE AND
DRY ONCE AGAIN.
WE WILL HAVE NEW SHOWERS
TRACKING IN TOMORROW AFTERNOON.
WE WILL HA TEMPERATURES IN THE
70'S IN MOST SPOTS.
BOST AT 75 DEGREES, FEELI
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.
INLAND, THERE ARE A FEW UPPER
60'S TO LOW 70'S.
SLIGHTLY COOLER.
THERE WERE MANY SPOTS IN THE LOW
TO MID 50'S.
HIGH TEMPERATURES SHOULD TOP OUT
AT ABOUT 78 DEGREES IN BOSTON.
COULD SEE 80'S IN THE NORTH
SHORE, MERRIMACK VALLEY, BUT
MAIN UPPER 70'S IN PLACE.
YOU THROW IN THAT LOW HUMIDITY
AND THE NICE D HEAT THAT WE
ARE EXPERIENCING TODAY AND FOR
MUCH OF TOMORROW AS WELL, BUT
THE ONE THIN IS, WE HAVE AN
INCREASED CHANCE OF SHOWERS
DURI THE AFTERNOON HOURS.
THAT DISSIPATES WEDNESDAY
MORNING, BUT WITH WEDNESDAY WE
HAVE HIGH PRESSURE COMING BACK
AND EVENTUALLY THAT WILL PULL IN
THE STRONGER HEAT AND HUMIDITY,
WHICH WILL BE A HUGE FACTOR
HEAD INTO THURSDAY, EVENTUALLY
TRACKING O NEXT -- OUR NEXT
SHOWERS.
WE ARE BEAUTIFUL PRE-MUCH EVERY
DAY THIS WEEK WITH THE EXCEPTION
OF WEDNESDAY.
NO DAY LOOKS LIKE A WASHOUT.
LET'S BREAK DOWN WHAT WE ARE
LOOKING AT TOMORROW.
THE FRONT WILL START TO INCH
CLOSER.
THERE IT IS, BY 4:00, THE
SHOWERS ARE WIDESPREAD.
THEY COULD BECOME HEAVY,
ESPECIALLY IN THE EVENING
COMMUTE.
WEDNESDA LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE

THEY CAN LAY 300 EGGS IN
THERE.

>> IT IS IMPORTANT TO
GET YOUR DUMP TRUCKS TO
KIDS TOYS.
ANYTHING THAT CAN HOLD
WATER.

LIKE THAT.
A BIG COLLECTOR OF WATER
