The Wild Story About What Happened to Evander Holyfield's Ear After Mike Tyson Bit It Off - Duration: 3:20.
What's up, guys?
Pierce Simpson here for Complex News.
It's been exactly 20 years since Mike Tyson bit off a piece of Evander Holyfield's ear
during one of the craziest boxing matches of all time.
Since then, there have been numerous books and documentaries done on the now-infamous
"Bite Fight" that have covered just about every single aspect of the bout.
But there is still one big question that remains after all these years: What ever happened
to the piece of Holyfield's ear that Tyson bit off and spit on the ground?
Most people think Holyfield was able to have that piece of his ear reattached surgically
following the fight.
Tyson was disqualified shortly after he tried to bite Holyfield for a second time at the
end of the third round, which allowed for Holyfield to exit the MGM Grand Garden Arena
in Las Vegas a short time later so that he could pay a visit to the nearby Valley Hospital
Medical Center for treatment.
But according to several people who spoke with Complex about the anniversary of the
fight, there's more to the story than that.
Mitch Libonati, a member of the MGM Grand's boxing staff, was working the Tyson/Holyfield
fight that night.
It was his job to maintain the ring in between bouts and to wipe up any excess water and
blood.
But on that particular night, he would also end up being in charge of trying to locate
the piece of Holyfield's ear that Tyson bit off at the end of the fight.
Following Tyson's disqualification, mayhem broke out in the ring, but that didn't stop
Libonati from making his way into it to track down the piece of Holyfield's ear.
"I knew it was there.
And then we had the chaos and all the people fighting in the ring and I remember thinking,
'That thing ain't going to be there.
It's gone.'
But once I got into the ring after the melee, I was like, 'Holy crap, it's right there!'
It was right below my feet."
Libonati picked up the hunk of flesh and wrapped it inside a latex glove.
He put the glove in an ice bucket, brought it to Holyfield's dressing room, and passed
it off to someone on his team.
That person then brought the piece of Holyfield's ear to the hospital and passed it off to a
plastic surgeon named Dr. Julio Garcia, who had plenty of experience with stitching professional
boxers up after fights.
But that's where things got confusing.
Shortly after he was handed Holyfield's ear, Dr. Garcia went into another room to
change into his scrubs so that he could reattach the ear.
But when he returned, the piece of skin that he had been given was missing.
It's unclear if someone stole the skin or if it was accidentally thrown out.
But either way, Dr. Garcia told Complex he was forced to move on to Plan B.
"I had the small piece of skin in the bucket, but when I went to change into my scrubs and
came back, it had vanished.
Just disappeared.
I never did find out what happened to it.
So I just took a little flap of skin from the back of his ear and folded it over to
close the wound."
Dr. Garcia told Complex that even if he did have the skin, it probably wouldn't have
made much of a difference.
It likely would have been impossible for him to reattach Holyfield's ear at that point
anyway because there was also a key piece of cartilage missing from the ear.
"The bite went through and through, and when it ripped off his ear, the skin that
encased the cartilage totally separated from the cartilage.
It was like they had peeled a banana.
And without that piece of cartilage, there really wasn't much I could do."
The cartilage was found later in the ring back at the MGM Grand.
But it had been trampled on by all of the people who made their way into the ring after
the fight, so Dr. Garcia wasn't able to use it.
It's why Holyfield still has a portion of his ear missing.
Despite what happened between him and Tyson, Holyfield told Complex he has forgiven him
for what took place.
Tyson never gave him any sort of official apology, but Holyfield forgave him anyway
and even told us that, deep down, he understood why Tyson did what he did.
"The Bible says everybody got a bad spot.
And one of the biggest reasons why it was easy for me to forgive him is because I used
to bite my brothers all the time.
They were older and bigger than me and when they would put me in a headlock I would bite
them to get out."
Holyfield may have forgiven Tyson, but it's unlikely he'll ever forget what took place
20 years ago.
He's reminded of it every time he looks in the mirror.
And just like everyone else, he's left to wonder what in the world happened to his ear
after Tyson bit it off.
Unfortunately, it's a question that, at this point, is probably never going to be
answered.
That's the news for now, but for all the latest news on Tyson and Holyfield, subscribe

BREAKING: Susan Rice AND Obama In TROUBLE After Senate Takes DEVASTATING Action | Top Stories Today - Duration: 2:19.
Susan Rice is at the center of the alleged spying operation against President Trump and
his campaign officials, and we all know she acted under Barack Obama's authority.
Despite there obviously being some sort of foul play that occurred during the 2016 election,
Rice has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
However, she's changed her story several times and even admitted to the "unmasking"
of President Trump's team, although she didn't go far as to say it was for political
reasons.
But thanks to a bold move from the Senate judiciary Committee, we may finally learn
what the hell happened that led to these people abusing their authority in government.
From the Washington Times:
The Senate Judiciary Committee will attempt during a closed-door hearing Wednesday to
get to the bottom of the alleged "unmasking" of Trump campaign and transition officials
by the Obama White House — furthering a potentially explosive counter-narrative coursing
beneath the various congressional probes into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential
election.
Former National Security Adviser Susan E. Rice, in addition to other top officials from
the Obama administration, have come under suspicion during recent months amid accusations
that they inappropriately "unmasked" requests to identify Trump associates caught up in
clandestine surveillance of Russian operatives prior to and during the immediate aftermath
of the November election.
While Republican lawmakers have during recent months led the charge for a deeper investigation
into the unmasking allegations, it was a key Democrat on the Judiciary Committee who raised
the issue during a public committee hearing on Tuesday, asserting that lawmakers hope
to explore it more deeply with FBI officials during a secret hearing slated for Wednesday.
Yikes.
This isn't going to be good for them.
While it's great the Senate is going to look into the issue, it's time for a special
counsel to be appointed to investigate this matter thoroughly so we can finally figure
out what happened and those responsible be held accountable.
We shouldn't accept anything less since these people have gotten away with illegal
activities for far too long.

'Panda' Producer Apologizes to Kanye, Future & Mike Dean - Duration: 2:05.
Hey guys, what's going on?
For Complex News, I'm Tamara Dhia.
Last week, Menace, the producer who is best known for making the beat for Desiigner's
smash hit "Panda," made some pretty bold claims against Future, Kanye West and mega-producer
Mike Dean who used that same beat for Kanye's "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2" off The Life
Of Pablo.
In an interview with DJ Booth, Menace claimed that he has yet to receive "full compensation"
for the "Panda" beat and said that it was likely due to legal disputes raised by a number
of people including Future and Mike Dean.
He explained:
"There was a situation with Future putting [an infringement] claim in because apparently,
he said that 'Panda' sounded like 'F*ck Up Some Commas.'
So were just about to see the checks but there's been a lot of delays so we won't see anything
until next year.
Not only [Future], Mike Dean, Kanye West's producer, he put a claim in as well saying
he did something to the beat and he never did."
Menace also claimed that he didn't see a check from Kanye and wasn't expecting to because
as he put it:
"I doubt Kanye's paid anyone, to be honest.
Kanye's a funny one when it comes to paying people money."
Those words didn't sit to well with Mike Dean who responded with a quickness telling DJ
Booth that he recreated the stems to save Menace's beat because it had samples in it
that wouldn't have been cleared by a major label.
"He should get facts straight before he speaks on my name.
Hope he enjoys the bread and appreciates what I did to help make him $$. Menace, put some
respek on my name.
And thank God Mike Dean removed your samples, youngin.
Should throw me a few points from his pocket my way, but I am doing ok with or without
the 'Panda' bread."
Future's team also reached out to debunk Menace's claims that he had put any sort of claim on
"Panda."
Now it looks like Menace is backtracking and took to Twitter to issue a public apology.
He wrote:
"I want to formally apologize to Mike Dean, Kanye, Future and their respective teams for
releasing unfounded and sensitive information to the media that could have potentially affected
their professional integrity.
They have always been an immense source of inspiration for me and they will always be
extremely influential to my work and my development as a producer."
In the end, you gotta be careful what you say and who you say it about.
That's the word for now but for the rest of today's updates, keep it locked right here
to Complex on YouTube.

U.S. Announces Changes To Security Screening For Flights To The U.S. | NBC Nightly News - Duration: 2:15.
AHEAD OF POTENTIAL NEW TERROR METHODS. TOM COSTELLO HAS
DETAILS. >> Reporter: THE NEW SECURITY STEPS BEING
PHASED IN THIS SUMMER WILL AFFECT 2,000 FLIGHTS EVERY DAY
COMING FROM 105 COUNTRIES. EVERY FLIGHT TO THE
U.S. FROM ABROAD. THE NEW PROCEDURES COULD INCLUDE MORE
THOROUGH CARRY-ON BAG CHECKS, MORE BOMB-SNIFFING DOGS,
MORE SWABBING FOR EXPLOSIVES AND EVENTUALLY NEXT
GENERATION BAG SCREENING TECHNOLOGY. >> UNLESS WE ALL RAISE
OUR SECURITY STANDARDS, TERRORISTS WHO SEE COMMERCIAL
AVIATION AS THE GREATEST TAKEDOWN, WILL FIND AND ATTACK
THE WEAKEST LINK. >> Reporter: THE NEW MEASURES COME AFTER
U.S. INTELLIGENCE DETERMINED ISIS HAS FOUND A WAY TO SMUGGLE
EXPLOSIVES INTO LAPTOP COMPUTERS. SINCE MARCH,
PASSENGERS COMING FROM TEN MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICAN AIRPORTS HAVE
BEEN REQUIRED TO BAG CHECK ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICE LARGER THAN A
CELL PHONE. THE U.S. SUGGESTED IT WOULD EXPAND THE BAN
TO ALL FLIGHTS GLOBALLY, BUT AIRLINES, FOREIGN
GOVERNMENTS AND FREQUENT FLYERS ALL COMPLAINED.
>> OFFICIALS ALWAYS HAVE TO BALANCE THE SECURITY BASED ON THE
INTELLIGENCE ISSUES THEY SEE WITH THE INCONVENIENCE THAT
THIS WILL CAUSE AIRLINES AND TRAVELERS.
>> Reporter: NOW, IF ANY AIRLINE DOESN'T MEET THE NEW
REQUIREMENTS, HOMELAND SECURITY COULD BAN ITS FLIGHTS OR BAN ALL
PERSONAL ELECTRONICS LARGER THAN A CELL PHONE.
FOR SMALLER AIRLINES AND COUNTRIES, A POTENTIALLY EXPENSIVE
CHALLENGE. >> IT WILL CAUSE A BURDEN ON THESE
AIRPORTS. THE BEST I COULD SAY IS THAT HOPEFULLY THE
TSA AND DHS ARE OUT THERE TALKING TO THESE GOVERNMENTS TRYING TO
COME UP WITH A STRATEGY TO MITIGATE THIS.
>> Reporter: IN PHOENIX, AMERICAN AIRLINES AND THE TSA
ARE ALREADY TESTING ADVANCED 3-D SCANNERS TO MORE THOROUGHLY
SCREEN CARRY-ON BAGS. THE KIND OF TECHNOLOGY THAT COULD BE
EVENTUALLY INTRODUCED OVERSEAS. 325,000 PEOPLE COME
INTO THE U.S. EVERY DAY. NOW, JUST IN, LATE
WORD FROM THE AIRLINES. THEY SAY THERE WASN'T
ENOUGH COLLABORATION WITH THEM ON THIS ISSUE.

American Journalist Austin Tice Remains Held Captive In Syria | NBC Nightly News - Duration: 3:26.
BRINGING THEIR OLDEST SON HOME. >> HE HAD TOLD US THAT
THERE MIGHT BE TIMES WHEN HE WAS OUT OF TOUCH.
THIS PARTICULAR WEEK, A COUPLE OF DAYS PASSED, DIDN'T SEE OR
HEAR ANYTHING FROM HIM. >> IT WAS AUGUST,
2012, AUSTIN TICE, FREELANCE JOURNALIST, FORMER MARINE, HAD
GONE MISSING IN SYRIA. A MONTH LATER SOMEONE POSTED THIS VIDEO OF
TICE ON YOUTUBE ALIVE BUT IN THE CUSTODY OF PARTIES UNKNOWN.
>> OH, JESUS. OH, JESUS. >> HOW DID YOU HANDLE
THAT TAPE WHEN YOU SAW IT, A SENSE OF HOPE OR DREAD?
>> IT TOOK A WHILE TO REALIZE THAT THE APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
WAS HOPE. >> FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS THE TICES HAVE
LED AN AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ABOUT AUSTIN'S PLIGHT AND
WALKED THE HALLS OF POWER FROM WASHINGTON TO DAMASCUS IN SEARCH
OF ANSWERS. >> JUST LOOKING FOR ANYONE THAT COULD
SHARE INFORMATION, ENGAGING WITH THE SYRIAN GOVERNMENT TO
THE EXTENT THAT I COULD. >> HOW DO THEY TREAT
YOU? >> THE SYRIANS, EVERYONE WAS EXTREMELY
KIND TO ME. >> BUT THE SYRIAN GOVERNMENT CLAIMS NO
KNOWLEDGE OF TICE'S WHEREABOUTS. LAST WEEK "THE NEW
YORK TIMES" REPORTED THERE HAD RECENTLY BEEN HIGH LEVEL
CONTACTS BETWEEN THE U.S. AND SYRIAN OFFICIALS ABOUT
FREEING TICE, AN EFFORT THAT, ACCORDING TO THE PAPER, WAS
HALTED AFTER SYRIA'S USE OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS AND A
RESULTING AMERICAN AIRSTRIKE. >> WE HAVE TO BE
COMPLETELY APOLITICAL AND STAY FOCUSED ON THIS HUMANITARIAN
EFFORT THAT IS NOT A PART OF FOREIGN POLICY.
THIS IS OUR SON WHO IS BEING HELD CAPTIVE WHO NEEDS TO COME HOME.
>> I SUSPECT YOU WOULDN'T BE SITTING DOWN WITH ME IF THERE
WAS ANY QUESTION THAT AUSTIN'S ALIVE. >> THERE IS NO
QUESTION ABOUT THAT. >> DOES THAT COME FROM AN EMOTIONAL PLACE OR
HARD EVIDENCE? >> THAT'S SENSITIVE TO ANSWER.
BUT LET'S JUST SAY WE HAD A VIDEO THAT WAS TITLED, AUSTIN TICE IS
ALIVE. THAT'S NEVER BEEN CONTRADICTED.
AND IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED OVER THESE LAST ALMOST FIVE
YEARS. AUSTIN TICE IS ALIVE. >> HAS BEEN THERE A
PROOF OF LIFE OTHER THAN THAT VIDEO? >> THERE HAS NOT BEEN.
>> REQUESTS FOR RANSOM? >> NO.
>> NO OUTREACH AT ALL. >> BUT THE FAMILY SAYS U.S. OFFICIALS REMAIN
FOCUSED ON AUSTIN'S CASE. >> WE ARE ABSOLUTELY
GRATIFIED AT THE ENGAGEMENT THAT WE'VE HAD WITH THIS NEW
ADMINISTRATION. HOW QUICKLY THEY'VE BECOME AWARE AND
ENGAGED ANDED A VO KATING FOR AUSTIN'S RETURN.
>> KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW, HOW HOPEFUL ARE YOU THAT HE'LL WALK IN
THE DOOR. >> RIGHT NOW WE'RE KIND OF KEEPING OUR
EYE ON THE DOOR. >> HIS BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP, AUGUST
11th. WE'RE REALLY HOPING WE CAN HAND HIM HIS
BIRTHDAY CARDS IN PERSON. >> HE WILL BE TURNING
36. HE WAS CAPTURED TWO DAYS AFTER TURNING

One Year Later, NYPD Still Searching For Clues In 2016 Central Park Explosion | NBC Nightly News - Duration: 1:55.
JULY 4th LAST YEAR. NBC'S STEPHANIE GOSK HAS THE LATEST.
>> Reporter: THE EXPLOSION IN CENTRAL PARK ON JULY 3rd LAST
YEAR WAS DEVASTATING. AND BAFFLING. 18-YEAR-OLD COLLEGE
FRESHMAN CONNER GOLDEN VISITING THE PARK WITH FRIENDS JUMPED OFF OF
SOME ROCKS AND LANDED ON A PLASTIC BAG FILLED WITH
EXPLOSIVES. HIS PARENTS GOT THE TERRIFYING CALL.
>> THEY ACTUALLY PUT HIM ON THE LINE. HE WAS CONSCIOUS AT
THE TIME. AND TOLD US THAT HE HAD STEPPED ON A BOMB.
>> DOING GOOD? >> FEELS VERY GOOD. >> Reporter: GOLDEN'S
LEFT LEG WAS AMPUTATED BELOW THE KNEE. TODAY NEARLY A FULL
YEAR LATER, NEW YORK CITY POLICE ARE STUMPED AND INCREASING
THE REWARD TO $40,000 FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO AN ARREST.
>> WE NEED PHONE CALLS. WE NEED LEADS.
AND THAT'S WHY WE'RE HERE. >> Reporter:
INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE THE HOMEMADE EXPLOSIVES COULD HAVE
BEEN THERE FOR DAYS. A WHITE POWDER CALLED TATP.
>> THESE COMPONENTS ARE COMMERCIALLY ATTAINABLE.
YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO PUT THIS
TOGETHER. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS. >> Reporter: IT'S
BECOME A FAVORITE AMONG TERRORIST, INCLUDING ISIS.
USED AT THE BOMBING AT THE ARIANA GRANDE CONCERT AS WELL AS THE
ATTACKS IN BRUSSELS AND PARIS. BUT SO FAR THE NYPD
SAYS THERE'S NO TERROR LINK IN THIS CASE. VISITORS IN CENTRAL
PARK CLIMB THESE ROCKS ALL THE TIME. AND THEY TAKE LOTS OF
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS HERE. THERE COULD BE SOMEONE
WALKING AROUND WITH A CASE-BREAKING LEAD ON THEIR PHONE WITHOUT
EVEN REALIZING IT. >> I KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO
HAVE INFORMATION, WHO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS. >> Reporter: GOLDEN'S
FATHER AND NYPD ARE HOPING THE PUBLIC WILL HELP CRACK THE

Dem Senator Vows To 'Expose' Medicaid Cuts In GOP Plan | For The Record | MSNBC - Duration: 4:27.
TO FIGHT THE SENATE REPUBLICAN HEALTH CARE BILL.
NOW TO SEE YOU. >> GREAT TO SEE YOU.
>> WHAT TOOL DO YOU NEED TO USE? SEEM LIKE THE REPUBLICANS ARE
DOING THE BILL IN THEMSELVES. >> I THINK THEY CONCEPT OF
CUTTING AND CAPPING MEDICAID IS NOT THE WAY TO GO.
I THINK THROWING PEOPLE OFF OF HEALTH CARE THAT WOULD RAISE
PREMIUMS FOR PEOPLE IN THE PRIVATE MARKET IS NOT GOOD IDEA.
WE DO WANT THIS IDEA REALLY THOUGHT THROUGH AND EXPOSED.
THE NOTION THAT YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE THE VOTES NOW BUT COME BACK
IN A WEEK, VERY PROBLEMATIC. WE WANT TO STOP IT.
>> WHAT DO YOU SEE AS A SOLUTION?
BEING REASONABLE, RECOGNIZING WE GOT A REPUBLICAN, DEMOCRATS,
WHAT WOULD BE? >> THE LOGIC IS WE SHOULD PASS
THIS BIG CUT. CUT 15 MILLION PEOPLE OFF OF
MEDICAID BECAUSE WE'RE CONCERNED ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL MARKET.
THEY SAY THAT WILL RAISE PREMIUMS IN THE INDIVIDUAL
MARKET. YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THAT.
WHY NOT COME BACK AND SAY WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO ABOUT THE
INDIVIDUAL MARKET. LET'S DROP THIS OTHER STUFF AND
SAY WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL MARKET.
>> WHAT WOULD YOU DO? WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS?
>> I'M A BIG FAN OF WHAT I CALL THE COSTCO MODEL.
EVERYBODY KNOWS YOU GO TO COSTCO, YOU BUY IN BULK AND YOU
GET A DISCOUNT. WE HAVE HAD AN EXPERIENCE IN NEW
YORK WHERE THEY DID JUST THAT. THEY BUNDLED UP 650,000 NEW
YORKERS AS PART OF AN OPTION CALLED THE BASIC OR ESSENTIAL
PLAN AND THEY GOT GREAT TAKE UP FROM THE PUBLIC BECAUSE THEY
KNEW IT WAS AFFORDABLE AND HAD 13 DIFFERENT PROVIDERS COMING IN
TO OFFER COVERAGE. IT CAN HAPPEN.
I WOULD GO BACK AND SAY THIS 7% OF HEALTH CARE, THAT'S THE
INDIVIDUAL MARKET, WHAT ARE THE IDEAS THAT WILL HELP US REDUCE
COSTS AND I THINK THAT WE CAN COME UP WITH SOME IDEAS.
>> DO YOU THINK THE REPUBLICANS IN WANTING TO CUT MEDICAID, WHY
DO YOU THINK THEY ARE DOING IT? THEY DON'T WANT POOR PEOPLE TO
HAVE MEDICAL CARE? >> SOMEBODY SAID PAUL RYAN CAME
UP WITH COLLEGE ESSAY THAT THIS IS WHERE THEY NEEDED TO GO BUT I
JUST SEE RESULT AFTER RESULT IN MY STATE.
PEOPLE TELLING ME THAT THE HOSPITAL COMMUNITY AND OTHERS
THAT COVERING MORE PEOPLE UNDER MEDICAID DROVE DOWN PRESSURE ON
PRICE IN THE PRIVATE MARKET. WE WANT TO CONTINUE THAT.
WE DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE PRICE OF THE PRIVATE MARKET GO BACK UP
BECAUSE OF ALL THIS UNCOMPENSATED CARE.
>> MEDICAL CARE HAS BEEN RISING AND WE EXPECT IT TO RISE
FURTHER. THIS IS GOING TO BE MORE
EXPENSIVE FOR EVERYBODY. IS THERE ANY SORT OF EFFORT TO
TRY TO FIGURE OUT SOME WAY HOW TO COMPENSATE OUR HEALTH CARE
WORKERS FAIRLY, BUT TO SORT OF DO SOMETHING TO PUT THE LID ON
THE PRICE. I SEE SO MANY THINGS BE REUSED.
WOULDN'T IT BE CHEAPER TO SANITIZE THEM?
>> THERE'S A COUPLE OF PHILOSOPHIES I LOOK AT.
YOU WANT HEALTH CARE TO BE MORE IN LINE WITH THE RATE OF
INFLATION. MAYBE IT COULD BE A LITTLE
HIGHER BECAUSE THERE'S SO MUCH TECHNOLOGY AND SO MANY ADVENTS
AND NEW SOLUTIONS. YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE DOUBLE
DIGITS. WHAT DO WE DO TO CHANGE THE
DELIVERY SYSTEM? ONE OF THE GREAT IDEAS I HAVE
BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT GETTING SOME STATES REPRESENTED BY
REPUBLICANS TO TAKE US UP ON IS THE NOTION OF THE NURSING HOME
CARE VERSUS COMMUNITY BASED CARE.
WE HAVE THIS RISING NUMBER OF AMERICANS THAT WILL EXACERBATE
THE DEMAND. IF WE SAY THEY WILL GET THEIR
LONG TERM CARE IN A NURSING HOME, WE'LL PAY THREE TIMES THE
AMOUNT. WE SAID WHY DON'T YOU TRY DOING
COMMUNITY BASE SERVICES. WHY DON'T YOU TRY TO RESTRUCTURE
YOUR STATE PROGRAM AND WE INSENTED THAT UNDER THE
AFFORDABLE CARE ACT. WHEN WE DID IT IN OUR STATE WE
SAVED $2 BILLION. IF WE CAN GET EVERY STATE TO
MOVE THIS WAY WE CAN BE SAVING
SERIOUS MEDICAID MONEY. >> DO YOU THINK YOU CAN WORK
WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP ON A HEALTH CARE BILL?
>> I HAVE TALKED TO A LOT OF MY COLLEAGUES.
I WILL SAY TO HIM LOOK AT THE ESSENTIAL PLAN IN NEW YORK.
TALK TO PEOPLE IN NEW YORK. TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS IN

LAST-DITCH ATTEMPT TO TRANSFORM ONE-SIXTH OF THE ECONOMY WITH JUST
REPUBLICAN VOTES. >> WE'LL CONTINUE WORK SOG WE CAN BRING

A GREAT HEALTHCARE PACKAGE. >> Reporter: BUT AFTER
SEVEN YEARS OF PROMISING TO REPEAL OBAMACARE AND SIX
MONTHS OF GOP CONTROL OF THE WHITE HOUSE AND CONGRESS, A NEW
REALITY IS STARTING TO SINK IN. >> IF WE DON'T REACH
AGREEMENT BY FRIDAY, IT'S PROBABLY THE END OF A SOLE PARTY EFFORT
FOR HEALTHCARE. >> Reporter: SENATOR JOHN McCAIN ASKED IF A
FRIDAY DEAL COULD HAPPEN. >> AND PIGS COULD FLY.
>> Reporter: McCAIN IS ONE OF SEVERAL REPUBLICAN SENATORS
ALREADY ASKING FOR A BIPARTISAN BILL. >> I HAVE SAID ALL
ALONG THAT I THOUGHT WE SHOULD TALK TO THE DEMOCRATS FROM THE
BEGINNING. >> THAT'S WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE DONE FROM
THE BEGINNING. >> Reporter: PRESIDENT TRUMP DISMISSING
OVERTURES FROM DEMOCRATIC LEADER CHUCK SCHUMER.
>> HE'S DONE A LOT OF TALKING, BAD TALKING, AND HE JUST DOESN'T
SEEM LIKE A SERIOUS PERSON. >> Reporter: AS THEY

ANSWER FOR A BILL THAT ONLY 16% OF AMERICANS SUPPORT.
ACCORDING TO A NEW QUINNIPIAC POLL. PEOPLE WITH EMOTIONAL

BAN ON LIFETIME LIMITS FOR INSURANCE, HER FAMILY COULD BE
DEVASTATED. >> IF YOU WANT TO SEND US A LETTER THAT OUR
CAP IS REINSTATED AND MY KID HAS HIT IT, BRING IT TO MY HOUSE
