Oh, logos!
I saw, I saw some things. I saw logos!
Hi guys!
Hello!
Are you an observant person?
Kinda.
Kinda. Not really.
In my free time right,
I like to people-watch.
I try my best to be very observant,
but I just end up getting very distracted.
I guess?
I would say that when I'm switched on,
I become very observant.
But most of the time I'm switched off lah.
Describe 1 of your favourite brands
and describe how it looks.
Oh wow.
Favourite brand?
I went all the way to NASA.
It's blue,
and then have "NASA".
And then you have the stars,
and then you have the red *makes sounds*
Nike has a tick.
Right? I was also thinking Nike.
It's a white tick.
On today's episode of Singaporeans Try,
we will be drawing brand logos from memory.
I KNEW IT! Omg.
I knew it...
My art is terrible.
It's a... It's a circle.
Right?
I don't know how many like...
small circles there are.
Ah there are many small circles?
Oh my face (is) damn ugly.
Yes.
As in no that's the... Yes.
She's holding her legs, is it like...
How is that even physically possible?
No she does the, like...
Time for some...
Gymnastics.
She's kind of like a...
like a mermaid but with 2 fins.
So she's holding them up a lil' bit.
She's holding something meh?
Waaaiiittt...
There's an outer ring if I'm not wrong.
Last touch(-ups)...
Okay.
3, 2, 1.
Bam!
She's holding up her fin.
I love yours!
It's so cute.
You know what the face is like?
"Aiya come saman (fined) I don't care la"
Look at her face it's like "Mmm..."
I'm quite confident.
The point goes to Chuan.
Oh!
What? Oh!
I can't take it.
Eh?
So those are her legs ah?
Those are her fins.
Ohhhhhh.
They have 2 colours.
Oh.
So do y'all go there often?
I go there for the bed eh.
Oh, for the bed?
I don't actually go there with the intention of shopping.
I usually go there to eat the meatballs.
Always get lost there one.
Why do I keep going back to the same spot?
I don't know, it's like a maze.
Wow I'm failing so badly in this.
You draw the circle, make(ing) me think even more.
THIS STRESS!
Is it an oval, not a rectangle?
I'll find any way.
Do it.
PD: Okay 30 more seconds.
Oh no I realized mine is completely inverted.
Have you eaten crayon?
No! Is it good?
I don't know! Like...
KAPOW!
I tried.
I'm so tired eh.
OMG there's an oval!
There's an oval?!
Wow!
It's really like a circle!
I (was) even so confident, I go and outline some more.
Your diploma is in branding.
Well.
With the correct colours ah?
PD: Yes!
How to know?
I don't know what the correct colours are.
Oh man!
I don't remember. I think I got the coRours...
CoRours Right.
CoRours?
I'm quite sure don't have.
So it's red, green, yellow, blue.
2 at 1 time.
No? What the heck. Oh shit I missed.
This looks right.
I don't know, but I know the 'g' is fancy.
Time for the fancy 'g'.
How fancy is it?
Is this a fancy 'g'?
How does a fancy 'g' look like?
Yours looks legit.
BAM! Yours looks quite legit.
I know.
I tried.
Yay!!
No!!
PD: Ra got it!
PD: Jon!
Yes!
Omg Joyce if you don't know this,
I don't know what to say.
No eh, I don't remember a single thing.
Ahhh I'm so sorry Jolene Chia.
Jolene Chia is my sis,
she's an air stewardess
in SIA.
I just know it a bird.
It a bird.
Oh! It's a duck.
It's a long bird.
I remember got some triangle triangle thingy
at the end of the plane.
Done is it?
Yup I guess.
Omg so different!
I think I got the wrong side.
Look at hers!
Actually yours looks more zhun (accurate) than mine.
Ahhhh it's so wrong.
PD: Wow.
Every time she says wow I don't know what to feel.
Like "Wow! You gon' suck." Like "Wow! That was poorly done."
Yup.
What?
How is this not that?
I just didn't get the-
Orh...
Eh this one Aftershock la.
Is it Aftershock's logo?
What's this?
I don't know, waterslide.
This is Wild Wild Wet.
Really ah?
TheSmartLocal.com
I think it's the airplane comes first.
Then as the airplane comes, then the bulb comes. Then the dot comes.
Come on la, I designed the damn logo.
Huh really ah?
Ya.
Wah, this one if I get wrong ah...
Please don't fire me.
Then there's also like a...
a stick man,
and the stick man is supposed to look like an aircraft from a certain angle.
Does he do this?
I think he does!
Is he holding something?
Like a kopi bing packet.
There's the Marina Bay Sands, everything...
He's walking around Singapore.
Okay, this is as close as I'd get.
Hi Bryan!
The Smart Local is...
Great.
Our drawing...
Not so much.
You're doing amazing sweetie.
I swear there's something like...
He's walking around!
Looks about right.
We both got it wrong.
The audience should vote la, I think this is a nicer design.
You just realize how clueless you really are.
The thing is, some of the changes actually quite big one.
I never notice.
The Smart Local!
Starbucks.
I really thought there were waves somewhere
What have I been looking at ah?
Ikea.
So sorry I forgot the yellow!
I thought the Ikea one, I was quite confident.
That's why I even got time to outline.
I think since the start I already said it's damn bad right.
Haha ya.
It's proven, it's even worse. Ya.
I said I was a 2,
now I feel I'm a...
0.
At least you got 1 point what.
We both got 1 point.
Anybody would have gotten 1 point for Google, come on!
Eh!
I didn't.

well I wanna be active man I wanna be
active just like you but I was just
sitting here thinking and it dawned on
me 99% of people that say stuff like
that are not willing to do what it takes
to make their dreams come true the
Marines have a saying everybody wants to
go to heaven but nobody wants to die and
that's just real at the center of
bringing any dream into fruition is
self-discipline you know something as
simple as food and eating it is not
about your body as much as it is about
your mind it's getting command of your
mind to be able to choose actions that
are in your own best interest every day
we are choosing shit that's not in our
own best interest right so if the world
is attacking you in the world wants to
fight you in the world's trying to hold
you down so you gonna kick yourself in

you cannot win the war against the world
if you can't win the war against your

course when you make it worse than it is
it overwhelms you and now you won't

Inter-Korean Summit 2018: Russia's role in future of the Korean peninsula - Duration: 4:02.
What about the regional powers.
How do they view the upcoming historic summit?
Today we zoom in on Russia,... a key-player in North Korean affairs, an old communist
ally, and a member of the long-stalled six-party talks.
Kwon Jang-ho files this report from Vladivostok.
Vladivostok, a Russian port city just a couple hundred kilometers from the North Korean border,
and it could be the setting for an important meeting in the near future.
"Despite Russia offering support to South Korea and the U.S. for opening dialogue with
North Korea, there are some who say Moscow's influence has become largely sidelined.
But that may not tell the entire story.
As there are now rumors that Kim Jong-un is planning to visit Russia in May to meet with
Vladimir Putin.
And that meeting could take place here in Vladivostok."
Its proximity to North Korea has fueled such rumors.
North Korean leaders have traditionally only traveled outside of North Korea by train for
security reasons, as seen last month, when Kim Jong-un met with Xi Jinping in Beijing.
Although a meeting with Putin is not confirmed, the possibility of one shows Russia is still
an important partner for North Korea.
"Russia could be one of the security guarantors for North Korea.
If negotiations ever come close to making some agreement, obviously some guarantees
will be needed.
And I think Russia is one of the powers which would be able to provide such security guarantees
to Pyongyang."
Local experts stress that Russia wants a peaceful Korean Peninsula, not only to avoid a nuclear
war on their doorstep, but also because of the mutual economic potential.
Currently, the Trans-Siberian Railway goes from Vladivostok in Russia's Far East, almost
10-thousand kilometers to Moscow.
But add a few hundred kilometers in the opposite direction, it could go through North Korea,
all the way to South Korea, completing a link between East Asia and Europe.
Moscow has invested some 300 million U.S. dollars into the Rajin-Khasan project, a rail
line which connects Russia and North Korea.
But due to international sanctions, activity has halted, and its full potential remains
unexplored.
"People in various countries in this area talk about, speak about cooperation...
North Korea's only obstacle for this fast development for cooperation.
So if we solve this problem it will work for all countries in this area.
For both Koreas, or for united Korea, China, Japan, Russia, of course."
The upcoming North Korea summits with South Korea and the U.S. have also led to talks
of reconvening the Six-Party Talks.
That forum, now dormant for 11 years, also involved Russia, China and Japan, and formed
the framework for Pyongyang to denuclearize.
Moscow has been keen to promote its merits... despite the breakdown of previous agreements.
"I think the format of the six-party talks, it's very important...
When we try to understand the current situation with the nuclear crisis, I think it's important
just to know who are the participants of such a kind of crisis.
The United States and North Korea?
No.
Because we have the region, and we have different actors."
Despite the stakes for Russia, how deeply involved Moscow will be remains to be seen,
especially as President Putin has other foreign policy concerns on his plate at the moment,
namely in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
But any international deal with North Korea will likely need to involve input from Moscow.

Reading Journal Articles for Free - Duration: 3:28.
Hi there.
I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.
Today I am going to talk about new tools to find and access the best available versions
of scholarly journal articles; legally and at no cost.
There are at least two at this time; Unpaywall and Kopernio.
First Unpaywall is an online widget that crawls the web, searching for free-to-read versions
of paywalled papers.
Unpaywall is a web-browser extension that looks for papers in repositories worldwide,
including preprint services and databases.
Unpaywall indicates when a free version is found, but also lets you know one is not available.
Unpaywall reports that users find fully accessible text for 47% of articles; of course, results
vary.
They access open data from PubMed Central, the Directory of Open Access Journals, Crossref,
and DataCite.
Second is Kopernio.
Kopernio is a browser plugin that finds the best available PDF of a journal article.
Kopernio searches open databases and university subscriptions; if accessible to the user,
to find the best version of the article.
This tool streamlines finding scholarly content by also accessing such sources as Google Scholar,
PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, publisher's platforms, and repositories.
Kopernio does two things.
For materials that the user's library has a subscription, Kopernio ensures that the
they end up at the publisher's version, entering the user's credentials.
For materials that the user's library has not licensed, Kopernio brings the user to
an open version if one is available, such as a preprint or an author deposited manuscript
in a repository.
Kopernio is making news this week as they were acquired by Clarivate Analytics.
Kopernio and Unpaywall prides themselves on not including results from sources of questionable
legality like Sci-Hub, or even ResearchGate.
All of their results are above board, and if they are found out not to be, promptly
removed.
Both tools, and likely others to come, are in a response to the frustration by users
who feel finding appropriate articles is a bit of a maze, particularly when they don't
have access to a federated search tool.
Publishers will appreciate more readers finding their materials and users will feel articles
are more easily accessible; a win all around.
Well that's it.
I am a publishing consultant and work with associations, publishers, and individuals
on a host of content related challenges.

Jeep Wrangler DV8 Off-Road Heat Dispersion Vented Hood - Unpainted (07-18 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 4:01.
This DV8 Off-Road Heat Dispersion Vented Hood is for those of you that have a 2007 and up
JK, that are looking for a way to completely change up the look of the front of your Jeep,
as well as adding some functionality.
The JK is known for heat soak under the hood.
This having all of these additional vents are going to help to draw air in and let heat
out.
So, the engine is going to run a little bit cooler, but, like I said, this also has a
crazy look compared to a factory JK hood.
It has this cowl running down the center, vents on the side, vents on the side of the
cowl, definitely giving you a drastically different look than factory.
This is something that I'm gonna give a three out of three wrenches for installation.
Before you take this to get it painted, you're going to wanna take it to a body shop and
have them line everything up, massage it a little bit, make sure that it's gonna line
up and fit properly with the proper gaps on your JK.
Then have it painted.
Don't take it out of the box, have it painted, and then try and bolt it up.
Most likely, it's going to need to be massaged at that point, and you're gonna mess up your
brand new paint.
So, do this in the proper order.
Have the body work done on it, then have it painted, then install it on your Jeep.
So, definitely three out of three wrenches.
Not something a lot of you guys are gonna wanna tackle in your driveway or in your garage.
Time is also going to vary depending on how much massaging it needs, what type of paint
job you're getting.
So, you'll leave that up to a shop, but we will talk a little bit more about the process
in just a second.
There are gonna be a couple of different hoods available for your JK.
And, hoods for the JK are usually going to do two things for you, the same things that
this hood is going to do: change up the look and add a little bit of additional ventilation.
So, if you like the look of this hood, I think it's gonna be a really nice option for you.
It's a seal hood.
It's a quality piece.
It's going to get the job done.
If you're looking for a slightly different look, there is a hood available from Rugged
Ridge.
A couple of other manufacturers out there making hoods that may have a look that you
prefer.
This is going to be made out of steel just like your factory hood.
It's going to have spots for your factory hood tie-downs using your factory hood hinges.
Also, has some spots for the squirters for your windshield washers, but that's really
where all of the similarities between this hood and a factory hood end.
From there you have your side vents over here, which are plastic pieces that are going to
3M on over top of the holes in the hood.
So, they arch straight through.
They do give you actual useful ventilation.
And, on either side of the cowl here, you also have ventilation to let some heat out
that way, as well.
So, definitely giving you a very, very different look from a factory hood.
Also, giving you some additional functionality.
So, like I said, three out of three wrenches for installation.
You're going to wanna get a body shop involved in this install.
You're going to wanna take them your Jeep and your hood, and let them first massage
the hood, make sure it's gonna line up properly, then prep it and paint it, then do the final
installation and any final tweaks that need to be made.
Don't take this to a shop, just tell them to paint it, and then bring it home and try
and get it installed on your Jeep.
Chances are you're gonna have to make some tweaks, and it's gonna ruin that brand new
paint job.
So, definitely, take this to a shop, let them handle everything from A to B.
This hood is gonna run you a little over $500 plus about a $100 in shipping, and then whatever
your bodywork and your paintwork are going to cost you.
So, this is not going to be a cheap add to your Jeep.
However, if you're looking at it from a impact to the look of your Jeep per dollar, I do
think you're getting a pretty good value here.
This is going to absolutely, completely change up the look of your Jeep.
So, if you're looking for a new hood for your Jeep to not only add some function, but drastically
change up the aesthetic of your JK, I definitely recommend taking a look at this hood from
DV8 Off-Road.
And, you can find it right here at extremeterrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler Raxiom Auxiliary/Backup Light Kit (1987-2018 YJ, TJ, JK) Review & Install - Duration: 5:39.
This Raxiom backup and auxiliary light kit is for those of you who that have a 1987 and
up Wrangler that are looking to add some reverse lights to your Jeep that are going to be triggered
automatically when you put the Jeep in reverse and also has a switch, so you can flip them
on whenever you need them.
This a kit that's going to install pretty easily onto your Jeep because it does come
with everything that you need to get it installed.
Although, there is going to be a little bit of splicing required to pick up that reverse
circuit so I am going to give it a two out of three wrenches.
And we'll talk more about the install in just a second.
Like I said, this is going to be a very, very complete kit.
It's going to have your two lights, it's going to have the wiring harness, the switch, everything
you need to get it installed.
However, you are going to pay for the convenience of having everything come in one box.
You can certainly piece together a reverse and auxiliary backup light system for a little
bit less expensive than this kit, but you are going to be doing a lot more legwork,
and you're going to be piecing something together and having to make it all work.
This is all going to be a plug-and-place setup with the exception of that reverse trigger
and this splicing you have to do there.
So again, for the convenience, you are going to pay a bit of a premium.
So this kit does have a couple of components.
The heart of the system is right over here.
You're going to have two LED backup lights.
Each of these lights has six individual LEDs inside of it.
These are going to be a 40-degree flood pattern.
They're not going to have quite the dispersion or quite the flood like some other lights
on the market, but 40 degree because you have two of these, it's still going to be plenty
of light, plenty of spread to light up the area behind you.
These can be mounted in the variety of different places.
You can drill a hole in the factory bumper, aftermarket bumper.
There are some brackets that will allow you to mount a light like this up on top of your
reverse lights.
You can put these on the roof rack.
You can really get creative.
Anywhere you're willing to drill a hole or purchase a bolt-on bracket, you can attach
these lights.
So that is going to be, like I said, really the heart of the system.
What ties all of that together is right over here.
This is your wiring harness.
You can see right here, you have two weatherproof connectors that are going to plug directly
into your lights.
You have your relay, your inline fuse, and you have the spot to attach your switch.
So you're going to have that switch on the inside of the Jeep.
You can flip that on and off.
That's gonna turn these lights on and off whenever you need them, but you're also going
to have a blue wire here that you're gonna splice in your factory reverse light circuit
and that's going to trigger these lights every time you put the Jeep in reverse.
So you can just shift in reverse, you don't have to worry about hitting the switch, but
if you are doing some camping, you're loading and unloading, you're hooking up a trailer,
whatever you're might be doing, and you need those lights on even when the Jeep isn't in
reverse, you have this switch.
So a very nice kit, a very complete kit, comes with everything you need.
Gonna be a fairly straightforward install as well.
So for the installation, again, two out of three wrenches.
It's probably going to take around two hours or so to get this installed.
The first step is going to be getting those lights mounted up.
Figure out where you want those.
You want them to be unobstructed, you're going to want them probably down low so that you
can see anything that you're backing up toward, but there are going to be a lot of different
locations that you can mount these.
And like I said before, you can drill a hole and get them bolted up or purchase a bracket
that will allow you to bolt these up without needing to drill.
Either way, you get your lights mounted up and you're done as far as that part goes.
After that, you're going to run your wiring harness.
That harness is going to have to go all the way back to the lights, get the lights plugged
in.
It's going to have to go all the way up into the engine bay to pick up the power at the
battery.
And finally, there's a leg of that harness that needs to get pulled through the firewall
in order to get your switch wired up in the dash.
So you run your wiring harness, you get that leg pulled through the firewall, figure out
where you wanna mount your switch.
Again, this is an area that you can either Dremel out a small spot in the dash and mount
your switch right in there, you can purchase an aftermarket pod to install that switch
so you don't have to do any cutting on your interior.
However, you wanna get your switch mounted up, you'll get that mounted up and get it
wired.
Now, the last thing you have to do before you actually get your wiring harness powered,
before you make those connections at the battery, is pick up your reverse light circuit, your
reverse light trigger.
And that's what's going to make it so these lights come on automatically every time your
Jeep is in reverse.
Now, the instructions are pretty clear with exactly where you pick up that wire.
You're going to have to take off a little bit of trim, find the wire, strip it out,
and make your connection of the blue wire here with that factory reverse light trigger.
Once that's done, that's the last part of your wiring.
You simply make your connection at your battery to positive and negative terminals and you're
done.
This kit is gonna run you right around $250.
And like I said before, that's gonna be a little bit more expensive than if you would
just to piece something together with similar components.
You are gonna pay premium for the convenience of everything coming together, having the
weatherproof connectors.
This being a pretty much plug-and-place setup aside from that one bit of splicing that you
have to do, you are gonna pay a little bit more.
Now, if you're somebody who's comfortable with automotive wiring, you understand how
all these things work together, you can go out there and piece a kit together for a little
bit less.
But if you're somebody who's not comfortable with that or you just wanna pay for the convenience
of having everything coming in one box, really a one-stop shop, then this is going to be
a great option.
So if you're looking for a one-stop shop, very convenient reverse light and auxiliary
light setup for your Jeep, I definitely recommend this setup from Raxiom, and you can find it
right here at extremeterrain.com.
