Youtube daily Apr 24 2018

Hello, everybody.

Welcome to this English course.

In today's video, I'm going to tell you about nouns.

Because in English, nouns are very important.

They are the basic element of a sentence.

So if you want to speak English,

you need to know about the different kinds of nouns.

And I'm going to try and teach you as well as I can.

Let's get started!

Ok, so let's start with concrete nouns.

Now in English, concrete nouns are people places or things,

including animals.

That you can see, that you can smell,

or taste, or hear, or touch.

So you can basically use your five senses.

Let me give you a few examples.

If we talk about people,

you could say, a man

or a teacher,

or me, Fanny.

Or Mr. Smith.

If we talk about places,

you could say,

a house, a school.

You could name a city like London.

Very nice city.

Or a beach.

And if you talk about things,

you could say a shoe,

you could say a marker,

you could talk about a dog

or food like a pizza.

These are concrete nouns....ok.

Now let's move on to abstract nouns.

So abstract nouns, unlike concrete nouns,

are ideas, concepts, emotions.

And you can't see an idea.

You can't smell a concept.

You can't taste an emotion.

Or hear it. Or touch it.

So they are nouns. They are things that exist, but

you cannot see them, or taste them.

You can't use your five sense.

To give you a few examples,

we could talk about love,

or time,

or religion,

rules.

These are all words that represent ideas, concepts... okay

They're abstract nouns in English.

Now, let's get into more detail about nouns.

Let's now see the difference between common nouns

and proper nouns which are very important in English.

So common nouns and proper nouns refer to people, places, things, ideas.

Let's see a few examples.

We could talk about people for example.

A woman.

That's a common noun.

But if we talk about a specific woman,

for example, me, Fanny.

That becomes a proper noun with a capital 'F'.

because, and you should know this,

proper nouns are always capitalized.

You could talk about places.

A city. That's a common noun.

But then you can name a specific city. Let's take a

great city, London, of course.

With a capital 'L'.

Remember proper nouns - always capitalized.

We can talk about things for example. An animal.

Let's take a dog. A dog.

That's a common noun.

But if we take a specific dog, like Snoopy - capital 'S',

that's the proper noun.

If we talk about things again, but for example, a car,

that's a common noun.

But if we name the brand, the specific brand of the car like Volvo,

that's a proper noun. And it takes a capital 'V'.

And finally, and we can say, a team - common noun.

But if we name a specific team, for example,

the best football team, Manchester United,

then that's a proper noun

and it's capitalized.

Now mind you,

'team', is a special word because it's called

a collective noun in English

because it refers to a group of people.

So collective nouns can be used as singular nouns or plural nouns.

But we will talk about this again later.

So now that we know a lot about nouns in English,

Let's practice finding nouns in a sentence.

Okay, first,

In my class at Oxford University, I have many friends.

My best friend is Jan.

I have a lot of love for her.

Jan has a cute dog.

Its name is Juju.

What are the nouns in these sentences?

If we take the first sentence,

In my class at Oxford University, I have many friends.

We have, class, and friends.

These are common nouns.

We also have a proper noun, Oxford University.

We know it's a proper noun because it's capitalized.

The second sentence is,

My best friend is Jen.

Now in this sentence,

the noun is, friend - common noun.

And there's also the word, Jen,

is also a noun but a proper noun. As you can see it's capitalized.

Then, I have a lot of love for her.

What noun can you see? Of course, 'love'.

Remember the abstract noun we talked about a few minutes ago.

And finally, Jan has a cute dog. Its name is Juju.

What nouns can we find?

We can see, 'Jen', again - proper noun.

'Dog' - common noun.

But also, 'name', and 'Juju'.

'Name's' a common noun.

'Juju' is the proper noun. It's capitalized.

As you probably know, I haven't mentioned, 'I', or 'her', or 'its'.

They are also nouns, but they are pronouns and

they're considered a different category in English.

We will talk about them in another video .

Great job guys!

Thank you for watching my video.

I hope you now have a better understanding of nouns in English.

Please keep practicing. Practice makes perfect.

I'm sure you will very soon be able to recognize nouns in a sentence.

Please make sure to watch my next video as I keep on talking about nouns.

See you.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Universal Winch Mounting Plate (1987-2006 YJ & TJ) Review - Duration: 4:37.

Having a winch is one of the main forms of recovery off road and it's always useful to

have one.

However, if you don't have a winch-ready aftermarket front bumper or if you have your OEM front

bumper that doesn't have a winch plate on your '87-'06 TJ or YJ, this can become a dilemma.

This Rugged Ridge universal winch plate will be the solution to that, allowing you to bolt

up any standard winch with either one of those bumper options.

I would like to mention that for the install you will need grade five bolts or higher for

the winch plate to secure properly.

Speaking of the install, this will be a very simple one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter, and I'll tell you more about it in just a moment.

The design of this winch plate was very well thought out by Rugged Ridge considering this

will be compatible with really any winch, and also being compatible with basically any

front bumper.

It's designed to bolt through the holes in your OEM front bumper to bolt to the frame,

and it's rated to fit with most aftermarket bumpers like I mentioned before.

However, I would like to mention that this will not work with some aftermarket front

bumpers like the Rugged Ridge tubular bumpers, and some aftermarket front bumpers will require

minor modification to get this winch plate to bolt up.

The winch plate itself will mount any standard winch that has a footprint of 10 x 4-1/2 inches,

which most winches have.

It's strong and it's made of a solid steel with a black powder coat finish to resist

any rust or corrosion, making this a very long lasting part.

Compared to Rugged Ridge's other options for a winch plate, this is a flat plate and it's

pretty low profile, and it will fit very well on your OEM bumper or even with any aftermarket

bumper that has a raised bull bar.

The only drawback I do see, which may not be a drawback for some, is that the fairlead

opening is a little bit smaller than other options.

However, you will have plenty of room in the opening for your line, and you can bolt up

either a roller or a hawse fairlead.

This winch plate will actually be your most affordable option for a universal winch plate

right next to the Rough Country option at right around $70 at the moment.

This does have a one up on the Rough Country option though with Rugged Ridge's five-year

limited warranty if that's something that you look for when choosing mods for your Wrangler.

Other more expensive options include a flat winch plate with a similar style from Smittybilt,

as well as raised winch plate options like I mentioned before.

Those choices will run you about $10 to even $40 more, and there's one option by Smittybilt

that is only compatible with the '97-'06 TJ instead of both the TJ and the YJ model.

If a raised plate was something that you were looking for for a bit of an elevated look

and functional clearance, those are also great choices to look at.

But if you were looking for something simple and universal at a great price, this is going

to be for you.

This will be a very straightforward install at one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter.

You will only need a couple of hand tools and about an hour's worth of your time to

get everything hooked up.

First things first, you will have to remove the front OE top mounting hardware and check

your bolts for the ratings, which can be found on the bolt head.

Then you can remove the plastic frame cover.

The YJ model's frame cover will not be reusable, however, TJs will be able to reuse the frame

cover with a little bit of trimming.

In some situations, it may be necessary to install the winch to the plate before installing

the plate on the frame.

If the winch manufacturer recommends bolting the winch before, follow those manufacturer's

instructions.

However, if you do have enough room, install the winch plate first.

For the YJs, place the winch plate over the bumper and align the mounting holes using

the first and the third holes provided, using the spacer if needed for the rear mounting

points.

For a TJ, you will use the first, second, and fourth holes for attachment.

For the TJs, the front retaining bolt for the front sway bar will need to be removed.

Then you can place the winch plate over the frame and reinstall those bolts without the

spacer for your OE bumper, and with the spacer for any aftermarket bumpers greater than 1/8-inch

thick.

Then you can tighten everything down and you're all set for winching.

So if you're looking for an affordable universal winch plate for the front of your '87-'06

YJ or TJ, Rugged Ridge has your back.

This is Merideth with XT, and you can find this winch plate and everything else wrangler,

right here at extremeterrain.com.

Gluten Free Sweet Potato Pancakes | Rockin Robin Cooks - Duration: 7:31.

hey everyone welcome to my kitchen today's recipe we're making gluten-free

sweet potato blender pancakes, that's a mouthful

and it's it's pretty healthy and it's really delicious and we're gonna finish

this off with some chopped pecans and it's got some cinnamon in it too so I

think you guys are gonna love this. I'm rockin Robin and I can't wait to show it

to you so don't go away I'll be right back.

let's go over the ingredients I'll show you what's in this first up we have

our sweet potatoes I'm using fresh sweet potatoes we're gonna cook these in the

microwave real quick you could also use canned if you like next up is our Bob's

Red Mill gluten free pancake mix has everything you need in it and I'm adding

some oat flour to this. I really like oat flour because it has such a nice

flavor it's it's more interesting and it's just really good. I have a chocolate

chip cookie recipe that uses oat flour which I think takes the flavor to the

next level you might want to check that out I'll leave a link for you in the

description of this video next up we'll need an egg we need a little bit of salt

lots of cinnamon because I love cinnamon my favorite spice some pecans I have

some chopped pecans which will just sprinkle on top and we'll need some milk

you can use any milk alternative that you'd like I'm using regular milk here

we'll need some butter and some maple syrup. let's start our recipe so since

I'm using fresh sweet potatoes we're gonna want to give them a rinse first

and then poke a few holes in them so that when you cook them in the microwave

they don't explode right that would be too exciting. So I'm gonna place these in

the microwave for three minutes on high and then I'll test them with a

fork until they're soft so then after that we'll let them cool for about five

minutes and then I will cut them in half and scoop out the sweet potato and add

that to a blender.

So at this point now everything is gonna go into my Vitamix blender I tell you

guys if you've never used a Vitamix blender they are worth every penny I

tell you once you use one you'll never want to use a different blender again

really. Anyway so we're gonna start with some liquid I'm gonna put some of my

milk in there and the milk is a variable that's gonna determine how thick or thin

your batter is so I'm gonna put a little milk in there first to keep it

from caking up on the bottom of the blender, so here's our milk our egg

here's our sweet potato I'm gonna put it in there gently so it doesn't splash, you

can get all the ingredients list amounts below, the description of

this video be sure and click where it says "show more" here is the salt

my favorite cinnamon

here is the oat flour again I'm gonna put that in kind of gently so it doesn't

splash.

and the Bob's Red Mill pancake mix and now we're ready to blend it up. Now we'll

just blend this up and then we'll add milk as we need it.

and you're going to want to take a spatula and scrape down the sides

because they tend to clump up

okay so here's what the consistency looks like I like mine like I said on

the thinner side I think you can see that and it will thicken as it sits up

but that's that's how I like it alright we're ready to start frying

these up I got my griddle pan here medium-low heat right at the moment I'm

gonna add some butter to the pan. I'm going to turn this up to medium heat I'm

just gonna spread the butter all the way around.

once you see it starting bubbling up you know it's getting hot you don't want to

put your pancakes on a cold griddle because they just they don't cook up as

nice okay and then you can just pour it right out

and if you're better you know at any point gets too thick for you you can

always just add some more milk

now as a nice little touch it's always nice to heat up your plate that you're

serving your pancakes on or any of you know any type of food a lot of times

I'll just put my plate right here in the back burner it gets the heat off the

stove and warms that plate a little bit the other alternative is you could put

this in the microwave for 20 or 30 seconds and you'd have a nice you know

kind of at least room-temperature plate so it's not cold and doesn't chill down

your food just a nice touch all right you can see the bubbles are kind of

popping you can take a peek if you like let's take a peek

looking pretty good there but you just want to see things starting to kind of

firm up a little bit and they don't look so wet

and we'll cook the second side and we're done alright I think these are done

they're looking good I'm ready to eat you know it cooks three or four minutes

aside just depending on your temperature I think you know if they're really if

they're thicker they're gonna take a little longer to cook on the inside all

right so to finish these up the pecans are a nice addition they give your dish

a little protein because you know when you eat pancakes for breakfast it's all

carbs and really spikes your insulin levels and probably not that good for

you that way but so yeah these are healthier you know we're adding our

sweet potatoes which gives us some fiber and vitamin A the pecans give you the

protein so it's really nice so here's some maple syrup I just add a little bit

of this it's really sweet so I think a little bit goes a long way I can't

guys these are really super delicious great flavor that oat flour the cinnamon

I mean if you like cinnamon you're gonna love these these are awesome the pecans

give it the crunch and the protein and so I think this is a great recipe for

you to try let me know if you do try it I'd love to hear your results with it

and thank you so much for watching you know and if you haven't subscribed to my

channel yet please click the button where it says subscribe at the end of

the video or down below the video where it's in the description area and of

course leave me a comment I always love to hear from you guys and share the

video that always helps me out thanks so much for watching guys we'll see you

next time thanks for watching

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Power Steering Drop Pitman Arm for 3.5-6" Lift (2007-2018 JK) Review - Duration: 4:32.

If you've lifted your JK 3 inches or more, correcting the geometry of your steering components

as well as your suspension is definitely recommended.

There are a couple of different methods to correcting your steering like a drag link flip

kit or installing a front track bar relocation bracket with a drop pitman arm.

This drop pitman arm by Rugged Ridge, paired with the track bar relocation bracket, will

correct your drag link angle and potentially reduce bump steer and binding on your '07

to '18 JK.

And I would like to mention that you cannot run one without the other.

This will be for the JKs equipped with a 3.5-inch to 6-inch lift and power steering.

Install on this is a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and you will need

a special tool to remove the pitman arm.

But I'll get into the details about the install in just a minute.

The pitman arm itself is made of solid steel, which will be strong and able to handle stress,

and is powder-coated black to resist any rust or corrosion.

Like I mentioned before, this will be for the JKs that do have power steering as well

as JKs with 3.5 inches to 6 inches of lift.

When lifting your Jeep, you have to correct all of your geometry in order to regain factory

feel and function with your suspension and your steering components, because you may

get some weird characteristics like bump steer.

With bump steer, you'll wanna correct your steering component's angles and it's caused

when your drag link and your track bar are out of parallel.

This drop pitman arm paired with a front track bar relocation bracket will bring those back

into parallel and may reduce bump steer and steering binding.

Some people, however, don't like to run a drop pitman arm because it adds extra leverage

to the steering components and can cause extra wear and may even create bump steer if you

don't already have that issue without correcting your steering.

However, if you did have a higher budget and were looking for a different solution to regaining

parallel with your track bar and your drag link, I would recommend checking out a drag

link flip kit.

However, this is a much more inexpensive solution.

Speaking of price, this is listed on the site right now at around $80.

Now, like I just said, this is an inexpensive option to get your track bar and your drag

link parallel when paired with a track bar relocation bracket.

If you did not wanna run this in conjunction with a bracket, a drag link flip kit would

be your best option since you can't run this without a bracket.

However, kits can range anywhere from $200 to $600, so this would be an inexpensive solution.

We do also have another option for a drop pitman arm, but that will be about $20 more,

and it does require a 4 to 6-inch lift to be installed.

If you are looking for a simpler and cheaper solution to correct your angles and a drag

link slip kit and you are in the 3.5 to 6-inch range, this drop pitman arm by Rugged Ridge

is a great option.

They also have this backed with a five-year limited warranty, so you can keep a peace

of mind.

Install will require a little bit of mechanical know-how, so it comes in at two out of three

wrenches on the difficulty meter.

You will need a couple of hand tools and a couple of special B tools to get the job done.

First, make sure the Jeep is in park or in gear and pull the E-break, making sure that

the steering wheel is straight.

To make sure that the steering wheel gets realigned correctly at the end, you can mark

it with masking tape on the dash and on the steering wheel.

You're gonna loosen the drag link tie rod end from the stock pitman arm, removing it

with a track bar puller.

Then you can remove the stock pitman arm with the pitman arm puller and install the new

drop pitman arm in the same orientation as the stock arm.

The pitman arm is keyed to allow it to be installed in only one direction, so you really

can't get it wrong.

Then you can tighten that down to 190 foot-pounds and reinstall the tie rod and end drag link

to 35 foot-pounds.

Then you can inspect the steering wheel and if it's moved, all you have to do is adjust.

And if it's moved, all you have to do is adjust the drag link by loosening the coupler nuts

and rotating it until your steering wheel is corrected.

Then you can tighten those down to 35 foot-pounds and you're all set.

So if you're looking for a couple extra components to regain factory feel for your '07 to '18

JK, this drop pitman arm by Rugged Ridge will be a great option to check out.

This is Merideth of XT, and you can find this and everything else Wrangler, right here at

Jeep Wrangler RedRock 4x4 Rear Rollbar Paracord Grab Handles (2007-2018 JK & JL) Review & Install - Duration: 4:29.

The paracord handles will provide great strength to support you and your passengers when you're

trying to get in, especially if you don't have sidesteps to help you out.

Not to mention they'll give you a little bit of a military look and some added style with

their color options.

The pair that I have here is blue and black, but we also have a red and black option, as

well as an all black option if you have an existing color scheme that you wanted to stick

to or just personal preference.

I would like to mention that these are specifically for the JKs from '07 to '18 because of the

roll bar sizing.

They're universal from the front and the back, though, even though our page just shows 'em

in the rear.

Install is super easy at one out of three wrenches and I'll tell you more about that

in just a moment.

These are made of paracord, as you can tell, but I wanted to dive a little bit deeper into

the construction because these are very strong and they will last a long time.

As just a background, if you weren't familiar, woven paracord is also known as parachute

cord.

It's a lightweight nylon rope that was originally used for parachute lines, as well as being

a convenient and a useful rope for other tasks where you might need a high strength rope.

So it will not only be strong enough to get you in and out of the Jeep, but this will

serve a dual purpose.

The rope is 550-pound tested and this will stand up to what you throw at it, whether

you need it for a random task or you're just looking to get in and out of your Jeep.

What I really like about these handles is that they have a polished D-ring fastener

on the end to connect the ropes together.

They give these handles a very unique look and they not only look good but they're functional

as well.

These will be a smaller version of the D-rings on the HD front bumpers that you might see,

and they'll come in handy even if you're in a pinch and you need a small fastener.

For what these are, these are great quality and you can tell by the reviews considering

that these have five stars.

For a soft grab handle, these will be our most expensive option but are fairly priced

at around $40 at the moment.

We have other less expensive options for softer grab handles and a lot of those options will

be nylon straps with rubber handles and they'll velcro around your roll bar.

Those will still be good options if you're looking for a budget-friendly alternative,

although, they will not serve a dual purpose like this option here has.

There are other higher-price options for grab handles on the site as well if you're looking

for a sturdier bolt-in option.

But those are gonna be right around the $100 to $175 mark, putting these right in the middle

with price.

I would definitely say that these are worth the price if you're looking for a multi-use

handle and a strong handle that will last a long time.

As you can imagine, install is a breeze, I have one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter and it should only take you a couple of minutes to get everything hooked up.

So the first step to install these, we're gonna go ahead and undo the miniature D-ring.

And pull that pin out.

You wanna separate this end.

Go around the roll bar with it and hook it back onto itself.

We'll do that with the same side, once you have both those ends on, then go ahead and

reinsert those pins, tighten 'em up.

Repeat these same steps for the opposite side.

This is Merideth with XT, and you can find this and everything else Wrangler right here

at extreme terrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler Weathertech Cargo Liners - Black (2011-2014 JK 4 Door) Review & Install - Duration: 4:24.

Loading things in and out of your cargo area can wear on your carpets, especially if you

have items in the back that could potentially spill and create some stains.

This Weathertech Cargo Liner for your '11 to '14 JK Limited will be the perfect solution

to those situations.

This cargo liner will cover up any preexisting stains or wear on the carpet and or protect

it from future spills and mud to come.

This is perfect for the pet owners who have muddy paws jumping in the back of the Jeep

all the time and don't want those paw prints on the carpet.

There's really no install to this, guys, as you can tell, but I would like to mention

that if you do have a subwoofer in the back, you will have to do a little bit of trimming,

but it's very simple.

So, it still gets a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter from me.

Weathertech is the leader in their industry for their all-weather floor mats, and the

reason behind that is the quality construction of their mats.

This cargo liner is computer cut for a custom fit, and it's made of a custom blend of thermoplastic

material that will not let any liquids, mud, or dirt get off of the mat and onto your carpets.

The material is flexible, yet it's durable and has a treaded grid pattern on the face

of the liner to hold those spills or the dirt in the creases for less tracking in and out.

The tread will also create a grip on the surface, making it skid resistant to keep your things

in place better than keeping them on your factory carpet.

On the outer edge, the mat is raised up creating walls to keep any spills in and making it

very easy to grip the sides and cradle the mat out to be hosed down.

Not to mention, taking this thing out will be more than effortless since it's lightweight

and it's flexible, like I mentioned before.

We also have this in a tan and a gray color as well as a version for the '07 to '10 unlimited

models, so make sure you get the right one for your Wrangler.

For a plastic floor liner for your cargo area, this will be the most expensive on the page

right now, coming in at $130.

With the quality construction, it's definitely well worth the price, but it'll be a bit more

of a premium option compared to others on the site.

Other lower-priced options can range anywhere from $50 for rubberized material up to $70

to $100 for a thermoplastic option like this one here.

However, this is not as slick as some of those other options with its skid resistance.

I did notice that the outer walls on this cargo mat are a little bit more profile than

other cargo liner options on the site, and they seem to fit a little bit better around

the outer edges.

With the low profile walls on the outer edge, it could be a drawback to some.

However, these edges are very easy to crease when you're loading things in and out of the

cargo area.

So, I think it was a nice touch on Weathertech's part.

Also, unlike other lower-priced options, you get multiple cutouts all over the mat for

certain hooks as well as well as your subwoofer, which make the mat more customized overall.

Overall, if you are looking for the most out of your mat and you don't mind spending the

extra couple bucks, this cargo liner is definitely worth it.

So, as you guys know, cargo liners and floor mats are a very basic, straightforward installation.

You basically just lay them in.

We have a subwoofer equipped in our four-door JK in the cargo area.

So, we're going to have to make a little bit of a modification to our cargo mat.

So, Weathertech provided us with an outline on the cargo liner that we can cut out for

the subwoofer.

You can either use a pair of scissors, like I have here, or a box cutter works.

So, after making your cut to the cargo liner, you can just throw it in the cargo area.

So, the sides on the cargo mat are going to come up a little bit.

That's okay.

It's going to settle by itself over some time, but if you want to make the process quicker,

you can throw some heavy items on it.

But after that, you're all set.

So, if you're looking for some premium protection to the cargo area in your JKU, Weathertech

has you covered.

This is Merideth with XT, and you can find this and everything else Wrangler right here

at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler J Tops USA Safari Mesh Top - Shiny Gray (2007-2018 JK 4 Door) Review & Install - Duration: 7:23.

If you're looking for one of the most well-built mesh tops on the market right now, J Tops

USA has your back when it comes to keeping your whole interior cool and avoiding any

sunburn while enjoying having no top on your Jeep.

This full mesh sunshade will make sure that you and your dash stay protected from those

harmful UV rays without flapping around at highway speeds thanks to bungee-free tension

strap design.

This is a piece of cake to get on and I call it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter and I'll get more into the details in just a moment.

The shiny grey material of this top will definitely make your Jeep stand out and it won't absorb

heat since it's a lighter color.

This is also offered in black, white, red, and blue, as well as a couple of different

variations of the good old American flag for the four-door versions.

This mesh top is UV protected and it's pretty opaque for a mesh top.

So you really get that full effect of 80% of UV protection.

The reason behind the higher UV protection is that it's PVC coated to create that barrier

between you and the sun.

Not only is the mesh UV protected from the sun, but the two inch webbing reinforcement

and all the straps all around are UV resistant as well.

The top reaches all the way to the sides of your cab, leaving no room for extra sun to

come through.

And the straps on this keep it tight enough so that when you drive on the highway you

won't experience any flapping around like some other options may cause.

Speaking of the straps, this attaches with no extra components needed, which is a feature

that I really like about this mesh top.

This has heavy duty buckles and hooks and straps to attach it to the windshield frame

and then all the way around the roll bars.

Most other tops have either bungee cords that stretch out and won't hold up over time, unlike

these tough military grade straps.

Since there's no extra hardware needed to install this top, this is gonna fit under

your soft top or hard top and won't interfere with the top or the function at all, making

it very convenient so whenever you remove your top, you're ready to go.

J Tops USA is one of the leaders in the industry for top accessories because of their well-known

quality.

Their tops are highly rated and you can see it even in the customer reviews on this one

in particular.

This top is a higher priced option and because of that, it comes in at around $200 for the

full shade mesh cover.

The higher price on this is definitely worth it if you're looking to keep your top off

a lot in the summer months and use this frequently while staying different than everybody else.

Not to mention with the compatibility of each top, you never really have to take this thing

off.

There are a couple other higher priced options by J Tops USA that will keep the same quality,

but will come with that custom print of the good old American flag like I talked about

before for about $100 extra.

The other less expensive options will range right around $50-$150, but some of those options

will require extra hardware, jumping the price up a bit, or they will include different materials

and different attachment points like bungee cords that may not hold up as well in the

long run.

Overall, if you're looking for a very unique mesh top that will definitely hold up in the

long run, J Tops USA has you covered, literally speaking.

And they also include a five-year limited warranty that comes with their mesh tops so

you can have a sense of security with your investment.

This one is one of the easiest mesh tops to install and it goes on in minutes.

I have to give this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

This is gonna take you around 10 minutes worth of your time and you're not gonna need any

hand tools for this one.

First step, we're gonna lay this top out over top.

J Tops has a built-in bar with hooks on the front and they latch on to the front footman

loops.

And now that we have the front attached, we're gonna go ahead and attach the sides.

Unlatch the buckles.

Then we're gonna wrap them around the roll bar.

Click them back in.

Can snug them up but don't pull them tight just yet.

We're gonna do the same thing for the opposite side.

We wanna lift this locking tab up that way you can loosen them.

Disconnect them, give a little slack, pull them around.

Click them in, pull them tight, and then click that locking tab back down.

Once you get to the back one, you wanna go down and under the seat belt.

You wanna click that on and that'll keep that nice and tight front to back.

Once you have all the side ones on, we're gonna go ahead and get this rear one clicked

together.

Once again, you wanna go around the roll bar.

And then we'll pull that tight and lock it shut.

Click it together.

Pull it nice and tight, lock it.

So once you have all the straps on, we're gonna go ahead and just tighten them all up

and adjust as needed.

There's magnets in the middle which stick to the roll bar and keep it from flapping

around.

Congratulations, you've now completed the install of the J Tops USA Safari mesh top.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge 6" Slim Halogen Fog Lights (1987-2018 TJ, YJ, JK & JL) Review & Install - Duration: 6:45.

These Rugged Ridge six inch Slim Halogen Fog Lights are for those of you who have a 1987

and up Wrangler that are looking to add some auxiliary lighting onto your Jeep.

This is going to be a complete kit that includes two lights and the wiring harness.

That wiring harness includes a fuse and a rely, also a switch.

So it is very complete, however it's not going to be plug and play.

As you can see here, you are going to have to do a little bit of splicing and or soldering

in order to get everything connected up.

For that reason I am going to give this a two out of three wrenches, probably around

two hours or so by the time you get all of the wires tucked out of the way and everything

mounted up.

If you're not somebody who's comfortable with automotive wiring, it's okay to take this

to a shop and have them do the work for you, but if you are comfortable with that, it is

something you can definitely get done in your driveway.

Now, when I tested out this light, it does have more of a spot pattern than it does a

fog pattern, so these are going to be very good for use even if you wanted to mount them

up higher on the A-pillar of your Jeep.

Generally a fog pattern is very narrow and very wide, it's designed to hit the road below

where your headlights do.

This again is a little bit more of a round spot pattern, not a pencil pattern, but a

little bit more of a spot pattern.

When you're looking at auxiliary lights, you're gonna have a couple of different options.

You're gonna have your light patterns to look at, again fog, spot, flood, different combo

beams, and then you're also going to have different light sources: halogen, incandescent

bulb, you can get something that's HID, which is a high intensity discharge, and then of

course, LED which is going to be a diode.

The benefits of LED is that it can be very compact, very low power draw, but also a ton

of light, so a lot of different options.

This here is gonna be a little bit more of an old school look.

This is something that you would see either stacked four or five across on the top of

a YJ or a TJ or maybe down on the bumpers.

A lot of the JK owners are running something that looks a little bit more modern, like

an LED, but this can be installed really on any Jeep, just depends on what sort of light

output you're looking for and what sort of style you're looking for on your Jeep.

If you do like this style I think that the price that this comes in at for an all inclusive

kit, even though it does requires some wiring, is pretty fair for what you're getting.

So as far as the construction goes, you're gonna get a steel housing light here, with

a glass lens.

These are going to be a halogen 100 watt light bulb, so being an incandescent bulb, being

a halogen bulb it is gonna have that little bit more of a yellow tint to it than an LED

which tends to be a little bit more of that blue-white color.

But it's still going to produce a ton of light.

A hundred watts is a lot of light.

These are gonna be very bright for you.

As you can see they have a two wire pigtail that comes off of them that will tie into

this wiring harness with a little bit of splicing or soldering, whatever you decide to do.

This does have a glass inline fuse in it instead of a more traditional...more modern fuse.

It does have a relay.

Again these are not LED, so they are gonna draw more power.

You'll definitely wanna run these through a relay instead of putting all of that current

through the switch, and this does include the switch.

The switch here can be mounted anywhere on the dashboard, it comes with some 3M adhesive

on the backside of it, a traditional on-off button switch, and this does connect with

a plug directly into the rest of the harness, because of course you don't wanna have to

pass the entirety of that switch through a small hole in the firewall, this way you can

just push the wire though, connect your switch and make your connection underneath the dash.

So for the installation, again, two out of three wrenches because of the wiring that

is involved.

It may be upwards of two hours depending on how you decide to run all your wiring.

The easy part and really the first part in my opinion is going to be mounting the lights

up, so find a spot for them.

Either you're drilling a hole in your bumper, you're putting these on an A-pillar mount

on a roof rack, maybe one of the light bars that goes over the windshield, a light hoop

with light tabs on your front bumper.

Wherever it is, wherever you have a hole, wanna drill one, or have a bracket, you can

mount these, these are a traditional single post mount.

Once you have the lights themselves mounted, you'll stretch out your wiring harness.

You'll have to make a couple of connections at the battery.

You wanna mount your relay so that's not just flopping around, and then you wanna take the

ends of the harness out to where the lights actually are to make those connections.

Again, you can use butt splices, you can use solder and heat shrink, you can do a couple

of different things to get this connected, you could even build yourself a set of weather

tight quick disconnects.

All depends on how involved and what sort of function you want out of your setup.

Once you have these lights wired up, the next step is going to be pulling the switched leg

of the wiring harness through the firewall.

There are a couple different ways to get through the firewall, there's some rubber grommets,

there's some foam that you can poke through, couple different methods there.

Once you get on to the interior of the Jeep into the cab, figure out where you want your

switch mounted, go ahead and mount that up, and then simply plug the switch into the rest

of the wiring harness and you're done.

Overall it is a pretty simple setup, but again, some of the other options out there are gonna

be completely plug and play, no splicing and no soldering.

This is going to require some connections.

I said before, I think this is going to be a pretty good deal for you.

This setup comes in at $130, and that is going to be right around the same price as some

of the competition.

If you're looking at a steel housing six inch round light, a lot of the other ones that

come with a harness, they're going to be right in and around that area.

Now the thing about lighting that you'll notice, especially if you've done some shopping, is

that they are all over the spectrum.

You can certainly find some less expensive lights than this, and you can find some that

are two, three, four times as much as these are.

And the more expensive ones are probably going to produce a little bit more light, they're

going to produce it using a little less current, they're going to throw that light a little

bit further because of the optics and the technology there.

And the bargain basement lights probably aren't gonna last as long, the gauge or the wiring

isn't going to be as high, maybe they don't include the switch or the relay, whatever

the case may be.

So, I think that this is gonna be a really nice mix of both.

You're gonna get a good light, throws light far down the trail, and throws a lot of it.

It does include a lot of high quality components, but is not going to completely break the bank.

So again I think this is a pretty fair price.

So if you're looking for a set of auxiliary lights for your Wrangler, I definitely recommend

taking a look at this set here from Rugged Ridge, and you can find them right here at

extremeterrain.com.
