The Kessel Run - Everything We Know So Far - Duration: 4:35.

Han's famous Kessel Run has been all but confirmed to appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story

this May.

We haven't heard much about that hyperspace route in the current canon, and the movie

will probably change that.

But today I'm going to run through the description given in Star Wars Legends, and then I'll

talk about what we do know in canon to prep for the film.

The Kessel Run was described as the ultimate test of a smuggler pilot's expertise in

The Hutt Gambit.

It allowed a pilot to shortcut across a large, uninhabited area of space that would otherwise

have taken a ship two days or more to go around.

But the direct route from Kessel back to the standard, safer trade routes lay perilously

close the Maw, which was a massive collection of black holes that distorted both space and

time.

Many ships had been lost in that area of space.

Flying closer to the Maw meant a pilot could shorten the number of parsecs traveled, but

at great risk.

After the black hole cluster came an uninhabited sector of space known as the Pit.

It was easier to navigate than the Maw, but more ships were lost there, because after

successfully navigating the cluster, pilots were tired, and their reflexes were slower.

The Pit was an asteroid field inside of nebula.

The gas and dust made ships' sensors less precise, and visibility was decreased.

In the Legends Han Solo Trilogy of books, Han became very experienced flying through

the Kessel Run multiple times.

Shortly before the Battle of Yavin he was chased by Imperials, requiring him to be more

daring to escape, and he wound up setting a record for time and distance through the

Run.

Chewbacca was skeptical that their instruments were working properly, but Han stubbornly

asserted that they had made it through in less than twelve parsecs.

So when Han claims that he made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs, he's talking

about distance traveled, not time.

The original script calls that boast an obvious attempt at misinformation, which I always

kind of liked, but Legends, and now I expect canon are going to retcon that into an event

that actually happened.

So let's talk about what we know in canon so far, and what we might see in Solo.

The Kessel Run was primarily used to smuggle spice from the spice mines of Kessel for the

Pyke Syndicate, who controlled the spice trade.

An article for Entertainment Weekly seems to confirm that the Kessel Run is littered

with black holes, and in the trailer we see the Falcon flying through a nebula filled

with giant, electrified tentacles, and you can see some asteroids as well.

If I had to guess, I think the Maw and the Pit will be combined to simplify things.

The entire Kessel Run will be a mess of danger.

The nebula will probably still mess with sensors, forcing Han to fly mostly by sight.

He'll have to deal with asteroids, black holes, and whatever those tentacled creatures

are all at the same time.

I also expect we'll be seeing his first time through.

I don't think he will be familiar with the Run by that point, and he'll just be flying

by the seat of his pants.

And since we mentioned the tentacles, let's jump back to Legends for a minute, and this

is something I've touched on before in a Q&A, but I think it's fun so I'm going

to mention it again.

The Maw was actually created by the Ones, beings who were immensely powerful in the

Force.

They built the black hole custer as a prison for a shape shifting being called Abeloth.

Her true form had tentacles.

Now, I don't think Abeloth is going to be or ever will be canon, but Pablo Hidalgo has

a history of making fun references to Legends stories in the Visual Dictionaries.

For example, in the guide for Rogue One, he talked about the Death Troopers being named

after an Imperial biological experiment that was meant to revive dead flesh.

That's a reference to the Legends book, Death Troopers, about zombie stormtroopers.

That doesn't make the book canon, it's just a fun nod.

I could see something like that happening in the guide for Solo.

Something about how the few pilots that survive the Kessel Run come out with stories of a

tentacled being of unimaginable power, kept at bay by the black holes.

Nothing overtly mentioning Abeloth, but enough to make Legends fans perk up.

That's all we know about the Kessel Run for now.

I'm looking forward to seeing its full canon interpretation on the big screen this May.

Do you think there might be more surprises in store in the film?

North Korean foreign minister meets with Chinese counterpart - Duration: 0:44.

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho has met with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign

Minister Wang Yi in Beijing.

The two are expected to have discussed pending issues brought up during last week's surprise

meeting between the Chinese and North Korean leaders.

Ri is making a stopover in the country before heading to Azerbaijan on Thursday to attend

the Non-Aligned Movement summit.

According to diplomatic sources, it's uncommon for Ri to meet with local officials while

making a transfer,... adding it's a sign bilateral relations are on the mend.

After his schedule in Azerbaijan is complete, the North Korean foreign minister also plans

to visit Russia to coordinate with Moscow on issues ahead of the historic summits with

Seoul and Washington.

U.S. Dollar Declines: Retaliation on Trade Wars - Duration: 7:49.

Good morning and thank you for watching Daily market Insights. Today we're going

to talk about the U.S. dollar. The dollar again for its fifth straight quarter has

gone down again that means that the US dollar gets sixteen other currencies

globally has continued to decline this is one of the issues we talked about

with Treasury bonds in the long-term implications against the US economy that

also means that in the last 12 months the overall loss on the US dollar is

about seven point six percent so when we talk about interest rates and the money

that you may be getting additional in your bank account remember the US dollar

in the last 12 months has lost seven point six percent that is a huge scale

remember this is being measured against 16 other global currencies in the entire

planet and when you see the US dollar declined by about seven point six

percent on a 12 month span that is absolutely huge that means the US dollar

today is sitting at about eighty nine point six nine percent on the global

scale that's a pretty significant loss if we've lost again which it just was

reported by The Wall Street Journal a decline of the US dollar has global

implications significantly and what we've talked about is a continuation of

what you're seeing is is that the tax cuts that were done by the Trump

administration was an effort to bring companies and corporations and

businesses back to the United States it also meant they would put more money

back in our pocket but that has not increased the value of the US dollar it

was done as an anticipation to spur on spinning so this is kind of a fancy

stimulus program opposed to printing money and remember right now we really

can't print any additional money because if we print additional money it will

spur on additional countries sitting back US Treasury bonds so we're kind of

in between a catch-22 here with the US economy the other things that we've

talked about is right now you're seeing that we repeal the dodd-frank act and

then you're seeing trade Wars that we talked about a couple of weeks ago trade

awards is now a big and major issue and it will continue to drive the value of

the US dollar now not only it is the Trump administration placing tariffs

against China China is now responding by playing tariffs against the United

States this is huge this is the beginning of a currency war that started

probably about 2014 and now we're starting to see it kind of crack and

crumble underneath their very feet what that means for us folks is that the US

dollar is going to continue to decline over the course of time and when

that happens you're going to see inflation rise that means the cost of

goods and services here in the United States are going to start costing you

and I a lot more money how to protect yourself is the important question

precious metals is the key element when we start seeing these inflationary rates

happen and it is also what happens when the dollar goes down when the value of

our money starts declining you will start seeing an increase in precious

metals and in 2008 you saw the stock market and precious metals as a whole

come down that's a consolidation within the market

and then you see precious metals start to skyrocket you're going to start

seeing these those things take place from October of 2007 through February of

2008 under the initial correction of the recession of 2008 the stock market lost

twenty three hundred points and change if you look at where what we have done

since January until now the stock market in a three month time frame has lost

almost the exact point count so six month time frame the beginning of the Oh

eight recession versus today we've lost almost to the

exact same point count this is due to the trade wars and as we've talked about

in the past these are post recessionary numbers that are now taking place in

this administration to try to not say that we're in a recession what we're

seeing guys is is a seven point six loss in u.s. dollar we're in a recession

whether people want to admit we're in one or not is a different story they're

not telling you that because if they come out and publicly saying on national

television we're in a recession what that's going to mean is you're gonna see

that stock market take a huge drop in a huge plummet almost at the snap of a

finger at some point in time you're going to see the media start talking

about that our job is to be able to provide you the information get you the

information the facts as they are in advance of the correction and that's

what we're trying to do here expect the US dollar to continue to decline number

to expect inflation to start setting in expect the Federal Reserve to start

raising interest rates over the next 12 months and you're going to see a

continuation of the Trump administration and emerging nations outside the United

States get any battle in regards to a trade war each one of them when one does

one move the other one will do another this will be a retaliation maneuver by

countries outside the United States this is what's going to happen and

mainly those who are retired under this recession we'll be the ones who will

bear the brunt of this crisis that is where the remaining lot money lies

inside the United States the younger generation has not saved you not put

money in the bank they are not conservative like the older generation

is they have not done without and they have not been through a hard enough

recession to set them back financially to put them in position to understand

the the importance of saving your money or protecting your money in this crisis

it is ultra crucial as you as a consumer to understand under this crisis when it

sets in as most of you know that it's going to happen this is no longer about

the return on your money this is about the return of your money the money that

you cannot afford to lose under this crisis the United States is in the midst

of a trade war which will be systemic like cancer running through the system

automatically that cannot happen without a major correction stopping in its

tracks and then reverting back to the other direction but it will be long it

will be hard and you have to protect your money now those who deal in large

amounts of money when I say that I have consumers that I've dealt with in the

past in precious metals that hold well over three four five million dollars in

this market those individuals are all starting to move money again and to

precious metals when you see big money moving in this market it means that they

are in fear of what's fixing to happen in markets these individuals and

companies and corporations understand they had financial analysts that help

protect them long-term from a financial crisis look at what's

happening Walmart is shutting doors we know that took place about six or seven

months ago Macy's is shutting doors Sears Roebuck

some of the other large chains or struggling financially they are cutting

back they're cutting back in anticipation of an offset of a pre

recessionary measure we call it post but it is starting to happen now their

analysts are watching it and telling them and advising them what to do you

need to be doing the same thing as always thank you for watching daily

market insights in the past we've requested you to get a copy of a

physical state of America this is also ultra crucial this talks about how the

states inside the United States have been started or

started borrowing a money against the pension plans of the retirees with

inside their states at some point in time this is gonna be a critical issue

when the shortfall and the recession sets in we know what happened in Chicago

and we recently know that the state of Rhode Island and a court appeals is now

gave them the authority to go back to citizens back to the year of 1990 and

start using that money to help bail out Rhode Island which is a double-a state

other states are going to start doing the same thing as the financial pinch

starts coming in the course of time as always click on the phone number below

click on the link or you're more than welcome to call in or put any questions

or comments that you have in that section below but we're in a post

recessionary series right now and those are the things that you need to start

watching and as they continue to unfold you'll see your money more at risk

remember the dollars lost about 7.3 7.9 percent in 12 months and that's against

16 of their currencies globally that's a big deal

trade Wars is one of the spurring issues and continue to watch daily market

insights for further information in the future as always thank you for watching.

POM #16 - kanapowy (ENG subtitles) - Duration: 15:44.

MB: Should we open this? MW: Yes. My leg!

MW: Enough syncing, my viewers won't be able to hear.

MW: Seatbelts. MB: Before we start I'd like to do one thing... AG: But we've started already. MB: Before we get serious I'd like to turn this into a CEO-mobile...

MW: I'm fine, because Anna is short. AG: I'm not short, I'm compact.

MW: OK, it's been a while since we've recorded POM (short in Polish for "cruise around town")... MB: Wait for it... MW: Whenever you're ready sir... (Title: POM on a couch)

MB: Hello there. MW: Good afternoon, it's been a while, so we decided to record Easter POM, which you're going to watch after Easter. We have Anna behind the wheel, so we can sit in the back, and talk luxury. What it's like to be a CEO. Look, this is just like in a Phaeton.

MB: Would you like to have a chauffer? MW: I wouldn't mind. AG: Excuse me, but am I going to get a hat?

MB: No, we didn't buy a newspaper. AG: Thanks. You're useless as CEOs. MB: Instead of talking we're going to be playing with all this. Check out those pillows!

MW: Pillows are OK. When you hand over a test BMW or a Merc they check if the pillows are still there. MB: It's comfortable in the back, but I'd rather be in the front. MW: Why?

MB: This is the Branson Paradox. Apparently when he bought a plane, he said it's pointless to have a plane for millions of dollars, and pay someone else to occupy the best seat.

MW: Driver! We're going to puke in the back. He's been taken for a ride one time too many? MB: You're talking about the driver or Branson?

MW: It's coold in the back here. If I were to buy a car like this, I'd hire a driver. Perhaps one that knows how to drive gently, I would definitely sit in the back. I'd just like more toys to play with. MB: This driver definitely needs some training... MW: That Hyundai definitely ran a red light...

MB: Do you recall what Frank Tieman said... AG: He ran a red light, but his passengers didn't complain about abrupt braking... MB: Frank Tieman is the PR guy from Rolls-Royce, and he once told me something I found surprising. Apparently most Phantom owners drive it themselves.

MW: Wasn't he referring to the coupe? MB: No, Phantom in general. Apparently people want to drive them. MW: I guess if you bought one, who's going to stop you?

MB: Luxury of having a driver is that... MW: You can do like the pope... MB: Yes, that too. You can have a drink from the fridge...

AG: You guys have a fridge back there? MB: We could have. MW: This is a poor man's S-Class, so there's just some storage back here. MB: But it could have been a fridge.

MB: Having a driver also means that once we reach our destination we can go out to a restaurant or whatever, and she has to park this damn thing. MW: See? So maybe one should carry the driver in the boot? MB: A tiny one, yes...

MW: There's currently the new VW Polo parked in my driveway, which is no match for this car we're sitting in at the moment... I have no idea how this remote control works...

MW: Anyway, this Polo is so expensive, I think even if they sold it with a free driver, it still wouldn't make sense. MB: It's a bit tighter in the back...

MB: In a car like this I can have a driver. OK. What about Porsche Panamera, which is also a limousine? MW: I guess you buy a Panamera for the CEO, and then when you drive for a meeting everyone draws straws, and three guys lose.

MW: That said Panamera has very comfortable seats in the back. Hard, but comfortable. MB: But it's comfortable here, and in a BMW 7 Series, and in a Lexus LS as well...

MW: Speaking of Lexus, they flew you business class recently, so how does it compare to this? MB: They are all comparable cars. It's comfortable, lots of space... MW: But not enough toys. MB: You've got screens...

MB: Lexus has a tablet, like in a BMW or Audi... MW: I recall in a BMW the front seat folds into some sort of foot rest...

MB: This one also folds. Wait... Anna won't be able to see... Never mind, we can always sack her. MW: But you don't have a foot rest. AG: "View in side mirror obstructed, move passenger seat or remove headrest". MB: It removed itself.

AG: True, it has. I can't see anything, but don't mind me. MB: So I can move this all the way forward. I'm not short. Check this out. MW: This is unbelievable. OK, there's more place than in the 7-Series.

MW: BMW had a footrest... There was some older Korean car. Hyundai Equus? It had a hole through the front seat so you could stretch your legs...

MB: Hodl on, the driver seems agitated... OK, I'm moving the seat back. AG: Just remove the headrest. MB: It's going back on its own. MW: Luxury...

MW: There's not enough gadgets in the back here. How much did you say this car cost? MB: Probably around 150k euro. MW: And that Audi A8 we drove in a couple of weeks ago? MB: That was a poor man's Audi, but it definitely cost more than a 100.

MW: Does it come off? MB: Yes, there's a button somewhere... MW: You could take it off, but here... MB: It will come off once.

MW: I don't see any button. Maybe that's why we have a remote control. BMW only has one tablet. But at least you can control the blinds, windows, lights... MB: What I really like about this car is that the rear window defroster is invisible. MW: And what does this do...

MB: This breaks the camera. MW: I like there's only one button for the windows and the blinds.... Check this out, a 150 grand car car it's broken already.

MW: If I bought a car for 150k I wouldn't be pleased. AG: What'd you break? MW: It was like that!

MW: It's cracked here... Someone must have been pulling on it. MB: Let's face it, these cars go though a lot. MW: Sure, drunk CEO trying to open the window... MB: Or maybe they're shoving him inside...

MW: Through the window :) Back in the day they wheeled CEOs out in a wheelbarrow, and now in a Merc. MB: Have you ever driven this car? MW: Is this a new car or face lift? MB: Face lift.

MW: So I did drive it, when it was new. And that was the last time I drive Audi A8. MB: It's got a very pleasant engine. This really shifts. MW: As long as you're the driver. MB: If the driver would...

MW: Why is it so noisy? AG: It's very sensitive, and this guy got close... MB: It's for the driver. And indeed there are more gadgets in the front.

MW: OK, but let's say you're a CEOoooo! And let's say you're not going to puke, you could work on a laptop or something. MB: Remember when we drove far for a presentation... MW: Yes, it was a Lexus, right?

MB: Yes, it was the previous LS, and you were working in the back. You said it was the best sound insulated car in the world. MW: And I stand by it. I recall it was snowing heavily, and you suddenly went sideways, and I didn't notice. So Lexus was much better.

MB: New LS is also quite good. MW: I woudn't know, but I hope they're going to lend me one. MB: It's good, but my readers were pissed off at me, because I said it's luxurious differently. MW: meaning?

MB: They pay attention to different things. MW: Maybe the blinds don't come off.. MB: I didn't try. But infotainment is light years behind the Germans. It's unusable. MW: It certainly is.

MB: But these tiny details are really excellent. So from the CEO's perspective Lexus delivers the goods. You're not the one setting sat nav. Audi infotainment may be great, but the stuff that matters to the passenger in Lexus LS is top notch.

MB: What do you care if Anna knows how to use all that stuff? She's supposed to take you home... MW: And she better know the way. Or I'll sack her! MB: The driver rarely has any say in what car his boss buys. So why should we care about infotainment?

MW: Right, it's supposed to be comfortable. Is there some sort of massage back here? MB: Only in the front. MW: Who configured this car? MB: We'd have to learn how to use this remote...

MB: There's definitely massage in the front, and I have a lounge-chair position... MW: Because you have the CEO's seat. MB: In the front you get massage, active bolsters, MW: I wouldn't mind active bolsters in the back here as well the way this driver drives...

MB: And all these gadgets and safety systems... MW: What's with the beepers?! MB: Safety systems. It decided the driver is not so good...

MW: OK, so the driver should drive in such a way that you don't hear the beepers. MB: One beep, and there goes the bonus. MW: You're not getting any pizza tonight! AG: But I was supposed to order it!

MB: You can order, but you're not getting any... MW: Because it's Friday evening, and it's we're going for our traditional Easter pizza. We always have pizza on Friday, and I like to sing "Ooo! We're going to eat pizza...!" Years later I found out it was "Ooo! We're going to Ibiza".

MW: All these years I thought Venga Boys were pizza fans.

MB: There was this guy, who called a radio station once, and asked for "Reebok or this Nike". MW/AG: Whaaaat?

MB: So the host is is like "WTF"? You know how it's on the radio...

MW: Oh, "This is the Rhythm of the Night!" LOL

MB: It took me a while. This host must have been good to understand...

AG: And Kamiza Inn? MW: When you're going to Mazury there's an inn called Kamiza. My friend, who's a DJ explained to me what it means. "Kamiza", because "Words Don't Come Easy".

MW: You know how it is at a wedding? Guests go up to a DJ, and ask him to play "Kamiza". MB: So this remote doesn't work. MW: Maybe you have to press ON. MB: It's on.

MW: A tablet is not bad after all. Maybe it's a touch screen? MB: Now it's not. Third world problems... AG: First world problems. MW: Right...

MB: Third. MW: OK, maybe we are the Third World. This really doesn't work. There are no games, no nothing... Wait, there's a left-right switch... And Command...

MW: And that doesn't do anything either. MB: Oh, there's a mirror. But let's face it, this car is a bit older, than Audi, BMW, and Lexus... MW: And you can feel it. Not in terms of ride comfort, but tech is outdated. It's best to sleep in. Or have a drink, if there was a fridge.

MW: And it's after 1PM, so it's not a sin. MB: It's after 4 PM. Anyway, my friend who's an alcoholic says it doesn't matter what time it is, because somewhere in the world it's always the right time.

MW: And this is our message to you this Easter.

MW: Driver, are we there yet? AG: Almost. MB: Could you be more precise? AG: Almost there.

MW: Check this out, there's a G-force gauge. She must have been testing G-force readouts throughout the way. We've got it all on camera! AG: Very good. It's a very good car. MB: And a very good driver.

AG: Thank you. MW: OK, you're going to get pizza.

Ask The Expert: "Is it Better to Manage a 0% Card or a Low-Interest Card?" - Duration: 1:22.

A reader asks is consolidating with a 0% interest card better or worse than

consolidating with a low interest rate card? And the answer to this question on

whether or not you should get a low interest rate card or a zero interest

rate card really depends on your ability to pay it back in time. If you can pay

back the 0% rate card before the promotional period ends that's great and

to determine this what you do is you take the amount you're going to finance

divide it by 11 and then that's the amount you have to pay every month to

pay off the debt before the promo period is up. Oftentimes expenses and surprises

happen during the year and that'll throw off your budget so if you've budgeted in

to pay it off a month early you're safe. Now if you cannot afford to pay that

amount every month to pay off the debt, then look at the lower interest rate

that has a longer period of time before it expires a lot of those offers are

18 months to 24 months. Take that offer if you need more time to pay off the debt.
