Hi all, Kecall's new episode is here again
today's topic is really interesting
and the topic of a day is
Traveller's 1st-aid kit
according to Traditional Chinese Medicine
Now I am standing in front of TCM Meridian Clinic
and going to make an interview
with Mrs Eben, the doctor of TCM
.. so, lets go on..
As I 've mentioned at the beginning
today's topic is a Chinese medicine for travellers
welcome our guest Mrs MUDr. Eben,
Hello
we are talking about using products of Chinese medicine as a first aid while travelling
we are going to give you some tips
when to use it.
The first question
where I expect a positive answer
Is appropriate to have TCM cures
in a traveller's first aid kit?
When is the best time for apply?
The answer is YES, surprisingly :)
Surprisingly :)
You can use it from the beginning of the illness symptoms
till the phase, when is necessary a modern medical care.
The products of TCM are very helpful.
Especially as a first aid on early symptoms, you can get during travelling.
So we can say
the first symptoms of illness occurrence
Let me think, for example, a diarrhoea
I can applicate products of TCM?
Yes, use it as soon as it's possible,
starts healing the seeds of illness
and can't get worse
Can you tell us example
of diseases that are highly recommended to heal with TCM?
To have a cure in 1st-aid kit?
What can we self-medicated on travels? Mentioned was a diarrhoea
for example head pain from winds blowing
a beginning of a flu,
a common digestive problems,
when you are after
a good dinner
briefly, overeat yourself
there is a helpful herbal mixture
then
cystitis, gynecological problems ...
there are a lot of things
I am wondering, what about ears pain
(inflammation-type) sometimes happens to divers
yes, sure,
Generally inflammations? Are there cures?
Sure, there are suitable cures.
How is it in a case of children?
Is necessary to change the medication for children?
What are the best practices at chilndren cases?
Sure, the medicines can be given to children.
Children are pure beings
so they react better than adults
concerning the time of healing.
Of course, children are smaller
so the medicine dosing is different, dosing it's smaller.
Generally, it's written on a packing
the usage according to the age of a child
Are there any allergic reactions? Should travellers be afraid of?
Do you have any experience?
I mean generally, and of course, in traveller medicine
When it comes to allergic reactions
on TCM products
it is very - very rare.
Our population has no allergy to Chinese herbs.
It's perfectly tolerated
So from this perspective it's ok
I would like to buy
some medicine on my own.
Where, on the market, I can buy it?
Are there different medication types?
How can I find that right one?
What to buy and what not to buy?
You can buy it for example here on our clinic reception.
Then on the other places where TCM is used
such as
Národní třída (center of Prague)
there is a TCM Clinic (TCM Bohemia)
So if I google 'clinic' or 'Chinese medicine'
There I can look for? ... Sure, absolutely.
Nowadays, most of all larger cities
in the Czech Republic has a TCM clinic.
What are the sorts of products? Tablets? Drops?
What can I find on a market?
Generally used are 'wan' tablets.
In some cases like dried mushrooms
there are capsules
Are there any cures
I can use and heal myself
in urgent cases? I wonder
contusion, bleeding, broken bones?
Is TCM 'ready' for urgent cases?
Spoken with exaggeration.
Definitely.
There are plasters for painful cases .
Then for the first aid in bigger injuries
and of course for small injuries as well
is a San Qi (note: lathin name Panax notoginseng)
And that is? A tablet?
It is a herb,
for common usage is prepared as a tablet.
And how long I have to eat the cure?
How much of cure I have to bring?
When I break the part of a body or hit for example hand.
Or I already had treated a bleeding
You can use San Qi
till it is healed, so it depends
on a type of injury.
Is there a risk of overdosing?
No, it's ok. If you take it
for the time of healing in the recommended amount,
written on the packing.
When it comes to TCM 1st-aid kit
we created article on www.kecall.cz (link below video)
with detail content what to have in a first aid kit
if there is a somebody
who didn't read our article, and came to your clinic
and ask for a TCM 1st aid kit
is possible to buy a complete pack?
Sure, we have standard packs
If client comes to us
with specific problem that wanna help with,
we can make the customized package.
Is necessary to keep on a mind the target destination?
Of course,
from TCM point of view is
very important if the target country
has warmer or colder weather.
How you will spend a free time there.
If traveller ask a question
'Can I get antimalarial cure'
can you help him with TCM?
YES, WE CAN create a herbal mixture
But it is highly personally specific.
and we need to customize it. It's because of client healthy
We are at the end of interview, here I am used to asking for a funny story
or recommendation
In the topic of TCM is this question not appropriate
so I 've asked travellers
If somebo dy wanna ask a sneaky question.
One friend got back from North Korea told me
that North Korea is proud of the best ginseng in the world
and China is the main trade client. So the question is: Is it true?
or is that information a myth from the North Korean government?
It's not a myth it's true but not completely true.
Because it's worth to say
there are two types of ginseng.
The red ginseng and the white one.
Both of ginsengs are different from a healing perspective
and the best quality of the red ginseng comes truly from Korea
Surprisingly, North Korean government is not lying us in this case :))
This is true.
So that was Mrs Eben from Meridian Clinic on Kecall's channel.
If any further questions,
send into the mail box
or ask in comments under our article on a website or a Facebook
we can make an additional interview.
Or, you can visit the clinic and
put your questions directly to professionals.
Thank you very much for your time
My pleasure
and see you next time, maybe.
Thank you for an invitation. Bye.
