ORK

THE LORD OF THE SKIES

I'm starting to have feelings for you.

The cards are on the table.

Are you in or out? We doing business or what?

I've made up my mind, gentlemen.

Ahmed, if you would...

That's nice.

So we're in business.

We aren't planning on sharing you with anyone else, though.

I can be rather selfish when it comes to that.

That's precisely what Ahmed and me were thinking over.

I wasn't sure I could manage two suppliers, and I can't.

Besides, you're a household name in this business

and I don't take unnecessary risks.

You know what they say.

He that grasps at too much...

Holds nothing.

And it's always good to have a tight grip on what's yours.

-Cheers. -Cheers.

Zoe!

Zoe...

Those bastards!

Zoe!

Zoe...

Zoe.

something wrong with you.

I thought I was the impatient one.

I hate being made to wait, that's all.

I always respect others people's time.

Now I'm the one telling you to be patient.

I told you what I thought about this deal and those to come.

This isn't what matters most to me.

You're what matters most.

I want to get to know you. You're an amazing woman.

You've exceeded whatever expectations I had

when I left prison.

Any man would consider a night with you an honor.

Having you...

Here?

Having me... here?

Having breakfast with you, doing business together...

having sex last night.

That's all this is, Tony.

I'm not an easy woman to "have."

You know how much I love a good challenge.

It's definitely a start.

I really needed last night after all I've been through...

but let's not lie to one another.

Clear expectations preserve friendships...

but now I feel even more challenged to woo you.

You're barking up the wrong tree, Tony.

I'm not the kind to fall in love anymore.

My God.

Aurelio was a fool to let you go.

Help?

Help me!

What's going on, lady?

I'm here to report a crime.

Somebody wants to kill me.

MEXICO CITY

Raymundo!

Who's speaking?

Someone who's been searching for you lately.

You know who this is?

It can't be.

I'm talking to Mr. Leandro himself!

Pleasure to hear from you, man.

I've been looking for you everywhere

and asking everyone about you!

Have you gotten any of my messages?

Well, you've found me, so what do you want?

I'll tell you.

You see, I'm getting back into the business

and it's swarming with Mexicans.

I'm aware you aren't too keen on Mexicans...

and I share that mindset.

Why don't you come over so we can talk?

I'm in a town near Cali.

It's called La Cumbre.

Yeah, with a C.

Come on over, man.

We'll give you a king's welcome.

You deserve the best.

Not just because we think alike,

but because I've heard good things about you.

However, that's all gossip.

I like seeing people face-to-face.

Damn, Mr. Leandro.

I'd love to, but to be honest, I need a few days

because I'm in Europe wrapping up a few things.

Once I'm back though, I'll come see you for sure.

Alright.

And by the way, we aren't the only ones who think this way.

These damn Mexicans have ruined the business for everyone!

I know I shouldn't care, but I do!

It pisses me off!

I hate these freaking people, man.

Look, Leandro. I've gotta be honest with you.

This business deal I'm wrapping up in Europe right now?

I'm working with a Mexican.

That's why I need your help.

We can't keep depending on these damn Mexicans.

Once you're back home, head straight for my town, man.

See you later, Raymundo. Bye.

I know you're from Mexico,

What's up? It's you.

Well, I know you were expecting your girlfriend,

but she's still missing.

I think it'll just be the two of us at dinner, just two adults.

I'll stop being cryptic now and just come out and say it.

I really don't understand what you're doing

with such an unstable woman

when you could be with a real, mature, serious,

and beautiful woman like me.

THE LORD OF THE SKIES

We'll run into him eventually.

It's not that I don't trust you.

I just need to know if I can't count on you.

How many times are you going to test me, Tony?

I thought I'd made myself clear.

I have lots of problems, most of them involving Aurelio,

but that doesn't mean I want him dead.

So you'd rather I died.

No, I'd rather neither of you did.

Nazareno, Victor, Rutila's boyfriend,

none of them had to die.

I'm trying to prevent more innocent deaths.

I don't want you to kill each other.

Don't you see that?

It's normal to defend the your child's father.

Yes, he's the father of my child and I can't change that.

But I don't want what we have to change either.

Things can work between us, Tony.

You treat me well. You respect me.

We're compatible in business and even more so in bed.

I don't want you to die.

I don't want you to die either,

but Aurelio ------ me over once.

is in a rehab facility in Switzerland, like I said.

But what about you? What do you do?

I still don't know what I want to study in college

or if I even want to go to college.

You know, the more I look at you,

the more you remind me of this guy I knew.

He's from Sinaloa and the resemblance is uncanny.

Damn, man.

-Really? -Yeah, you look just like him.

Who is he? What's his name?

Tell me.

THE LORD OF THE SKIES

Chatarrero, you're a ------- idiot!

She got away!

Are you sure, man?

We've been here all day and we haven't seen her.

She probably walked right by you wearing a maid outfit.

If my dad finds out about this, he'll have your head, dumbass!

It actually is, Carla.

I didn't think you based your research on gossip magazines.

Off camera just now you told me

this wasn't an interview for the social pages.

I thought you'd want to know

in which direction the country is headed

or the results yielded by recent reforms,

intelligent and vital matters that must be dealt with.

Not whether or not I had a supposed relationship

with a woman who worked on my presidential campaign

years ago.

The citizens care about all matters regarding you, sir.

I never had a noYeah?life.

She's here.

Why didn't you take off her hood?

-What's up? -Hey, I thought you trusted me!

Chill, girl. It's for your own safety.

-This wasn't necessary! -I know!

It's for your own safety.

How are you?

Where are your manners, guys? Say hello!

Greñas.

Hi, Greñas.

Cosme Manrique, aka Skinny.

Hi, Skinny.

-Nice to meet you, girl. -Give her some space.

How are you? I'm so sorry.

I missed you so much.

Mr. PresiBetrayal mentioned and lies are real.

The government does the narcos' bidding and vice versa.

That's real. The rest, I don't know.

I like that you have concrete ideas.

There's no point in deluding ourselves.

Should we go? Or should we stay?

We could wander around Madrid till morning.

Let's go out... drinking.

Let's be average today.

Let's be mortals.

That's the attitude.

That's what's great about Europe.

No one gives a damn about who's with whom here.

Come. I'll show you where I grew up.

After you.

No one will walk in on us.

-Is that so? -Uh-huh.

Great.

Let's make the most of our time

and get to what we both want to do.

Let's be honest with each other.

Are you still going to be my sister-in-law?

I'd love for it to be that way even though...

I'm asking because of Ismael, Carmen.

I noticed how you two look at each other

and how you're always running around.

I'm not an idiot.

I hear death makes people act strangely.

I'll stop beating around the bush.

Am I dying to sleep with your brother?

I am.

YYou liked it, Whadidn't you?do?

I loved it.

Don't say it like that, like you're responding to a survey.

I used you after all.

No one used anyone here.

We're just having fun.

I'd love it if you could stay for a second round.

Guess what?

I arranged everything so I could spend the night here.

If you want to, that is.

You're not getting away any time soon.

MAWho is it?N

Your package.

Thank you.

Who's this?

It's me, Aurelio. It's Esperanza.

Esperanza!

What are we going to do, sweetheart?

Predicting Liverpool's XI vs. Leicester - Klopp to use 4-4-2 diamond in League Cup clash? - Duration: 3:17.

Predicting Liverpool's XI vs. Leicester - Klopp to use 4-4-2 diamond in League Cup clash?

Danny Ward, Marko Grujic and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set to start Liverpool's League Cup clash at Leicester, as Jurgen Klopp rotates his squad.

The Reds turn attentions to the League Cup on Tuesday night, as Klopp's side kick off a five-day double-header against the Foxes.

Both teams arrive for the clash following 1-1 draws in the Premier League, but Liverpool will be determined to end a three-game winless run and ensure early hopes of silverware are kept on track.

Seven changes were made against Burnley last time out but even more are likely at the King Power Stadium, with Klopp admitting "it makes sense" to utilise his squad as the Reds begin a run of four away games in 13 days.

The boss has confirmed Ward, Grujic and Oxlade-Chamberlain will feature among the impending changes.

But other places are up for grabs with Klopp to hand fringe players a chance to impress in a potentially altered system.

Team News.

Klopp likely to make wholesale changes and has strong group available Fringe players set to form majority of lineup but certain regulars could also feature Dejan Lovren doubtful due to back problem, with Joe Gomez an option at centre-back Danny Ward confirmed for starting role and as Reds' 'keeper for cup competitions Klopp also reveals Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will make full debut and Marko Grujic will start Dominic Solanke hoping for full debut with Daniel Sturridge also available Philippe Coutinho could feature as Brazilian continues to build match fitness Jon Flanagan to be included in matchday squad Likes of Lazar Markovic and Danny Ings hopeful of inclusion.

The Reds' XI vs. the Foxes.

Liverpool's impressive squad depth gives Klopp plenty of potential ways to ensure his team is rotated but still strong for their first domestic cup clash this season.

The boss could therefore name a side which hands game time to squad players, but also allows refreshed regulars a chance to gain rhythm and form ahead of some vital league and European games.

With this in mind, the incoming Ward could play behind a back four of Gomez, Lovren, Klavan and Robertson—providing the Croatian overcomes injury, which would be ideal to give the so-far ever-present Joel Matip a rest.

A powerful midfield could be formed by reenergised duo Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum joining Grujic—poised for his first start since last October—and this would see Oxlade-Chamberlain start in attack.

The new man could feature on the right, with Coutinho—who needs minutes to build sharpness—from the left, with the duo flanking fellow possible full debutant Solanke, who deserves a start after bright cameos.

In this case, this is how Liverpool's XI would look:.

Tuesday's game gives Klopp a chance to experiment with selection and formation, and having recently suggested he could change shape this cup clash presents the ideal chance to do it.

There are plenty of ways to go, but given the personnel available—particularly in midfield and attack—Klopp could deploy his team in an exciting 4-4-2 diamond setup to get the best of both.

Starting with the need for goals, Solanke and Sturridge could play in tandem—affording the senior striker another runout to find form ahead of the upcoming run, for which he will certainly be needed.

Oxlade-Chamberlain could operate as chief supplier to the front pair at the tip of the diamond, with Milner captaining the Reds from the base, and the refreshed Wijnaldum and Grujic in box-to-box duties.

A back four of Gomez and Robertson at full-back and Klavan and Matip at centre-back—if Lovren fails to recover—could provide protection ahead of Ward.

If so, the Reds would look like this at the King Power:.

Cup competitions arguably present Liverpool's best chance of silverware this season, and Klopp's side need a positive start to keep those hopes alive—as well as to spark an upturn in results.

Why LFC's strong defensive work and Daniel Sturridge's goal hunt could be key to League Cup win - Duration: 3:52.

Why Liverpool's strong defensive work and Daniel Sturridge's goal hunt could be key to League Cup win over Leicester

Liverpool face Leicester City in the League Cup third round on Tuesday evening; here are the key statistics and facts ahead of the clash. Liverpool's League Cup love. Liverpool's all-time League Cup has seen them win 140 games out of 233 played.

Should Liverpool lose this game it will be their 50th defeat in the competition. Last season Liverpool reached their record 17th semi-final but failed to add to their record 12 final appearances and eight competition wins, losing both legs 1-0 to Southampton.

Should Liverpool fail to find the net it will be the first time since August 1979 they have not scored in three successive League Cup games, when they went a club record five matches without a goal in the competition (the only time they have gone more than two).

Sturridge leads the goal hunt. Daniel Sturridge has scored eight goals in eight League Cup appearances for the Reds, and has 10 in 14 games in his career.

Two goals will see him become the 9th player to reach 10 goals for Liverpool in this competition. Sturridge has scored 99 goals in his club career, with 61 coming for Liverpool.

Last season Ben Woodburn became the club's youngest-ever scorer when netting in front of the Kop at home to Leeds. He was aged just 17 years and 45 days.

Ragnar Klavan scored his only Reds goal so far at this stage of last season's competition in the 3-0 victory at Derby. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored six goals in 13 career League Cupappearances.

Liverpool have scored in 20 of their last 22 games in league and cup. The Reds are four goals short of recording 200 in all games under Jurgen Klopp.

Robbie Fowler is the only Liverpool player to score a hat-trick at Leicester, doing so in a 4-1 league win in October 2001. Scorers this season (League Cup in brackets):Mohamed Salah 5, Roberto Firmino 4, Sadio Mane 3, Emre Can 2, Trent Alexander-Arnold 1, Sturridge 1, own goals 1.

Milestones. Jordan Henderson has played more League Cup games for the club (20) than any other current Reds player, with his one goal coming against Notts County at Anfield in August 2013.

Gini Wijnaldum could play the 50th game of his Liverpool career in league and cup.

Possible League Cup debutants for Liverpool this evening could be Salah, Joe Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Andy Robertson, Dominic Solanke and Danny Ward.

Ward made his last Liverpool appearance in a 3-1 league defeat at Swansea in May 2016. Both of his previous starts for the Reds have come away from home. Ward to continue tradition?.

Liverpool have not conceded more than one goal in any of their last 16 games in the competition since Middlesbrough scored twice in the 2-2 draw at Anfield in September 2014, the Reds prevailing on penalties.

The last time they let in more than once in a game away from Anfield was the Final itself against Cardiff in 2012. Of the Reds 18-man squad that day only Jordan Henderson remains at the club.

They last conceded more than one goal on an opponent's ground in October 2009 when they lost 2-1 at Arsenal.

Arsenal's Julio Baptista is the only player to score a hat-trick against Liverpool in the League Cup, hitting four in a 6-3 Anfield win in January 2007.

The Reds have been involved in 10 League Cup penalty shoot-outs, winning seven. They have been successful in 14 out of 18 in all competitions. Head-to-head in the cups.

Liverpool have played 11 games against City in the two domestic cups over seven ties and have progressed five times. The only occasions Leicester have won were both in the F.A. Cup.

In those 11 games the Foxes have scored five times in total and never have they scored more than one goal in a cup match against Liverpool.

The teams have met only once in this competition. In October 1986 Liverpool won 4-1 at Anfield in the third round, with Steve McMahon hitting a hat-trick (having netted four in the previous round) and Kenny Dalglish scoring the other.

Gary McAllister was in the visitors' side that evening. The Reds went on to reach the final that season, losing to Arsenal.

The Foxes have reached five League Cup finals, beating Stoke in 1964, Middlesbrough in 1997 and Tranmere three years later. Their two losses in the final have come against Chelsea in 1965 and Tottenham in 1999.

Since winning the trophy in 2000 City have never gone beyond the quarter-finals and have only reached the fourth round on five occasions.

Leicester reached this round by winning 4-1 at Sheffield United last month, with goals from Demarai Gray, Islam Slimani (two) and Ahmed Musa, with the game's five goals all coming in the second half.

They have lost five of their last seven home meetings with Premier Leagueopposition in the League Cup. It is 45 years since the Foxes recorded a third successive home win over Liverpool in all competitions.

They have not won in three games since winning at Sheffield United in Round Two, losing at Manchester United and at home to Chelsea before drawing at Huddersfield last Saturday.

Amalia Hernandez: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | CaCao TV - Duration: 9:26.

Amalia Hernandez: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Wikimedia Commons Amalia Hernandez in 1973. Amalia Hernandez, the founder of the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico, who brought Mexican folkloric culture to the rest of the world, is the subject of the September 19, 2017 Google Doodle on what would be her 100th birthday.

Hernandez turned her early passion for performing and dance into a desire to be an ambassador for Mexican culture throughout the globe.

As Google noted in the Google Doodle announcement, Hernandez is "remembered as an ambassador of Mexican culture whose legacy lives on through the Ballet Folklorico. Google notes that the Ballet Folklorico has performed for more than 22 million people.

According to The Music Center, "Ballet Folklórico de México captures the heart and spirit of the Mexican people and their traditions through the pageantry and ritual of the indignous cultures before the arrival of the Spaniards.

The company also depicts the influence of the Spanish and European cultures in creating a 'Mestizo' style.

GoogleThe Amalia Hernandez Google Doodle. Here's what you need to know:.

Hernandez Knew From the Age of 8 That She Would Focus Her Life on Dance. Hernandez, who was born in 1917, developed her love of dance early on, but she didn't start with folk dancing.

According to The Los Angeles Times, she was "born into a wealthy Mexican family," and "began her career as a classically trained ballet dancer.

She knew since she was the age of 8 that she wanted to be a dancer, The Los Angeles Times reported, "despite the objections of her father, a prominent senator and rancher.

Resigned to her choice, he brought great dancers to train her, including a principal from the legendary ballet star Anna Pavlova's company and Nelsy Dambre of the Paris Opera.

A biography of Hernandez recounts how other dances didn't move her, but traditional folkloric dancing did.

"She tried Spanish flamenco and modern dance. She learned the basic steps, the formality, and the techniques, but not one type of dance was emotionally fulfilling despite her reputable teachers.

She felt no connection to the foreign dances and music," recounted The Adelante Movement.  The site excerpted THE BOOK OF LATINA WOMEN: 150 VIDAS OF PASSION, STRENGTH, AND SUCCESS By Sylvia Mendoza. You can find it here.

She found that emotional connection through her own traditional music, the site notes: "Hernández traveled throughout Mexico, to the mountainsides, the valleys, the little towns, the rural country, the coastline. She talked to people and explored each community's culture.

She heard her own native music and saw her own native dance in every corner she visited. And she felt a connection.". Hernandez Started the Ballet Folklorico With Only Eight Dancers.

As with many visionaries, Hernandez started small and built a powerhouse. First, Amalia Hernandez "became a choreographer at the Fine Arts National Institute, where she taught modern dance.

She then turned her focus to traditional Mexican folk dances," Google noted. "She combined these dances with more choreographed movements from her formal training, helping to create an entirely new style of dance known as baile folklorico.".

In 1952, Hernandez "founded the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. Beginning with just eight dancers, the troupe grew to over three hundred in the years to follow," according to Google.

"The company performed on television for the first time in 1954, after which they were featured in a weekly broadcast. This success allowed Amalia's group to tour North America and even represent Mexico in the Pan American Games in 1959.

Amalia Hernandez once called Mexican culture a "concentration of the world's art," because European, African, and Indian influences mixed together.

The Ballet Folklorico Still Performs Its Dances Even Though Hernandez Died in 2000. Amalia Hernandez' legacy has lived beyond her death.

According to The Los Angeles Times, late in her life, she had "turned over daily management of the Ballet Folklorico to daughter Norma Lopez, its artistic director. But with her renowned energy, the founder remained involved in designing the dance programs.".

"The Ballet Folklorico de Mexico still performs to this day. Since its inception, the group has danced for more than 22 million people. Hernandez remained involved with the company until her death in 2000, working alongside her daughters and grandson," Google reported.

According to Time Magazine, "Hernandez remained deeply involved in the dance company all her life, until her death in 2000 at age 83. Amalia Hernandez Is Recognized for Bringing Mexico Culture to the Rest of the World.

According to The Independent, Hernandez is considered an ambassador of her culture.

"Hernandez, who would be 100 years old, is remembered as an ambassador for Mexican culture, and for having played an integral role helping to share her country's culture with the world," the news site reported.

Brittanica reports that Hernandez led the Ballet Folklorico de Mexio to become "the largest and most widely respected Mexican dance company in the world. She choreographed more than 40 ballets that incorporated local dance traditions from some 60 regions of Mexico.

According to the Adelante Movement, quoting the author Sylvia Mendoza, "Headquartered at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City, the ballet toured worldwide.

Ballet Folklórico was selected as an official representative of the Mexican government at the Paris Festival of Nations in 1961. Her troupe earned what would be its first award of more than 200.".

Hernandez Once Called Herself a 'Perfectionist' Who Tried to Keep the Dances Authentic. Throughout her life, Hernandez faced some criticism for altering traditional Mexican folklore with her stylized dances. "I am a perfectionist.

I have worked harder than you can imagine to keep the authentic style, the essence, in everything," she explained, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The newspaper explained the controversy surrounding Hernandez in a 2000 article, writing, "Gema Sandoval, founder-director of Danza Floricanto/USA, Southern California's oldest such company, told Times dance critic Lewis Segal in 1997 that some believe Hernandez 'is the first Mexican who has reached a world audience through the performing arts.

Then there are those who feel she has misrepresented the culture, that she does not put folk dance on stage in its original form. However, the legacy of Amalia Hernandez lives on through the dancers and the people they've reached.

Wrote one admirer, Aimee Sosa, in a blog post: "I am a huge admirer of Amalia Hernández. She is a true example of someone who demonstrated her talent and dedication.

Due to her influence, folklórico is now a part of many young peoples lives, including my own.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set for full LFC debut against Leicester in Carabao Cup game - Duration: 2:15.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set for full Liverpool debut against Leicester in Carabao Cup game

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN is finally set to make his full debut for Liverpool in the Carabao Cup against Leicester. After joining the Merseyside outfit from Arsenal for £35million on deadline day, Oxlade-Chamberlain has played only 57 minutes in three substitute appearances.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain impressed boss Jurgen Klopp when he came off the bench against Burnley.

The former Arsenal midfielder is set for his full Liverpool debut in the Carabao Cup clash away at Leicester. But the England man will finally get the chance to impress Red boss Jurgen Klopp from the off in the away cup tie.

Speaking to Press Association, Klopp said: It is a fantastic opportunity for Alex because since he has been in it has been difficult to train on different things because of game after game after game.

There is no rush but we are in this three-game-a-week rhythm and during the international break he was with the national team.

But it is a long-term project so I have no problem. We sat together with him and the analysts and showed him how we want him to play in this position and that position.

He had a wonderful impact when he came on in the last game (Saturdays 1-1 draw v Burnley) so it was very good for him.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will also be hoping to play in his coveted central midfield role, one of the reasons he is believed to have decided to leave Arsenal.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had to be content to appear for Liverpool off the bench at the weekend.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain decided to leave Arsenal in pursuit of nailing down a regular central midfield spot elsewhere. He also rejected a deadline-day switch to Chelsea as boss Antonio Conte wanted to utilise him as a wing-back.

But things are looking rosy off the pitch for the Southampton academy product as his romance with Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards continues to blossom.

Liverpool 1-1 Burnley: Mohamed Salah cancels out Scott Arfield's opener as Sean Dyche's men grind out a point at Anfield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain shared this picture with Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards.   Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Perrie Edwards enjoy some off road driving on holiday.

Chamberlain and Edwards went public with their relationship in January and it appears to be getting stronger by the day.

The former Arsenal man took to Instagram to upload an image of the pair alongside the caption: "I tell her she my bestie, bestie, she my bestie. England football squad including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain train in preparation for qualifier against Malta.

Jurgen Klopp confident Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can fulfil potential at Liverpool - Duration: 4:01.

Jurgen Klopp confident Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can fulfil potential at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has addressed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's stalled development at Arsenal, insisting he can fulfil his potential at Liverpool.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made the £35 million move from north London at the end of the summer transfer window, after six years with the Gunners.

Having been signed for a lofty £15 million fee as a 17-year-old in 2011, Oxlade-Chamberlain went on to make 198 appearances for Arsenal, but failed to develop as expected.

Joining Liverpool on deadline day, however, Oxlade-Chamberlain has set his sights on continuing his progress under Klopp, who believes he was hampered with too much pressure, too early.

"It's a judgment from outside that you don't develop," the German said.

"Probably when Alex was 18 or 19 people thought he could be 'the man', like people have thought a lot of times pretty early.

"Then you immediately put a rucksack [of pressure] on their back, it makes development [harder].

"Hide them as long as makes sense, send them out as soon as possible, that's the plan.

"Now he's in the perfect age and still able to make big steps, and how I thought he played in the last game [was] like a Liverpool player.

"Highest intensity, all good, was involved, was not fixed in a position, flexible, half left, half right, in the box, stuff like this.

"So I already saw a lot things, and at the end he didn't hit a goal so probably a lot of people will say that's a proper Liverpool player!.

"But I'm really happy to have him here, and I hope he is also happy to be here.

Speaking a year ago, Arsene Wenger addressed Oxlade-Chamberlain's slow progress at the Emirates Stadium, proffering that "maybe he doesn't completely believe in himself as to how good he can be.

While Klopp suggested he was not in a position to agree or disagree with Wenger at this stage, the 50-year-old said it made "complete sense" for the midfielder to leave Arsenal.

"I think it would be strange if I were to say something about a player after two-and-a-half weeks when Arsene Wenger worked together with him for six or seven years," Klopp added.

"But a new start is very often, kind of, a relief.

"You are in a situation with your old club—I don't say for Alex especially, but in general it's like this—you're in a specific position and you accept it on some point.

"It's difficult to make the next step, that's how it is.

I thought it made complete sense for Alex to change club, and especially to come here.

"So far, I can see that he's settled in perfectly.

He knew at least all of the England players, and a few others.

"And he's a really nice lad, so it's easy for him to settle into a team.

"He takes the situation like it is, he knows he played all the games for Arsenal from the beginning.

"And now he's coming here and sitting on the bench, it looks like 'oh, it was not the best decision'.

"But it's about a long-term thing, and we can already use him, that's good, but we also want to prepare him.

That's all, it's all good from this side in the moment.".

Oxlade-Chamberlain is set for his first start of the season on Tuesday night, when Liverpool take on Leicester City in the League Cup third round.
