Today, I'm going to be doing a review on one of my favorite ultra luxury watches.
The A Lange and Sohne Reference Number 404.032 Double Split, or like we like to say in America,
"A Lang and Sons."

So let's just go ahead and get this out of the way before everybody freaks out on me,
you know?
A Longe & Sohne is a German watch brand.
Very highly quality made and being that the name is in German, Sohne means �sons�
in English; so, since I'm American and I live in America, I'm gonna go ahead and pronounce
it the American way!
Alright, so the Lang and Sons that I have for you guys here is probably one of my favorite
ones.
I've had many people ask me in the comments to do a review on this brand and there's a
lot of different models.
This particular model, for me, is probably my �grail watch� and this is the Double
Split.
Now, this watch is a heavy hitter by every means necessary, like this has a little bit
of everything.
I couldn't imagine more...there are some crazier stuff, OK?
I said it before, like the Patek Sky-Moon, stuff of that nature, but from this brand,
this Double Split reference number 404.032, is out of control guys.
This is serious!
Like this is a heavy, heavy duty watch.
This has a little bit of everything.
With the retail price of $128,400, it definitely puts you in the serious wristwear watch game,
OK?
It features...I don't know if you guys noticed.
If you ever seen one in person, but I feel like the full show of this whole watch is
the back.
Definitely a conversation piece.
I mean, when you get to see the back of this watch and all the details, I mean, �Oh My
God!�
I mean, everybody should know by know how the Germans do things.
They don't play around!
This watch is detail, detail, detail.
I myself have spent hours looping this watch and the detail is everywhere.
It's every single where that you look.
The amount of detail is to a level that...I hate to say it, but I feel like it has more
detail than some of my favorite Pateks.
I mean, this is a really, rare and special watch in my opinion.
So some of the features that this model has is:
It has the world's first and only double Rattrapante chrono movement.
That alone is an amazing feat.
Some of these watch brands will do these type of things just to show off their engineering
capabilities.
Do you really have a use for this?
No!
We can argue that forever.
Who cares?
It's bad ass!
I mean...to me, it's bad ass.
It's just another complication that shows it off a bit more.
Yes, I know, we can get into all the technical things about that.
That's not what this channel is about.
Has a 43.2mm rose gold case that has a pretty thick profile.
It's about 15 millimeters thick and that, to me, adds a lot.
Most of the Lange and Sohnes are a little bit thinner, which is more of a traditional
dress watch, but this one has that oomph, that big oomph to it.
Very beefy, man, I don't know...I love it.
When you look at the caseback, it just looks like, I don't know, like you're looking at
a city from a helicopter.
It look like a lot of depth because the movement is very tall.
A lot of different layers into that movement.
Features 38 hours of power reserve and it features their L001.1 calibre movement.
Overall, it's not a piece that you're gonna find a lot.
It's just something that, just put it to you this way, in the last five years, this is
probably the first one that I've seen in my hands.
It's such a grail piece in my opinion, that if you want something that's gonna be of the
Lang watches that's gonna be really, really serious, the Double Split is the one that
it's that watch.
Now, I wanna stress to you how smooth the action is on the chrono of this watch as opposed
to perhaps a 5980 or other versions of a Patek.
They are smooth, but this watch when you push these buttons, it's silk.
Something I forgot to mention is that it also has a flyback function.
You could reset the chrono on the fly and I just can't express how smooth the buttons
are.
Some of these fancy chronos, you gotta push the buttons very delicately, and yes I would
still on this one, but this one is so smooth that it's unbelievable.
I just feel like it's nice, tight, but smooth.
So as far as the Watch Game goes, this is a serious, serious, heavy duty dress watch.
Jesus Chris, I want one so bad!

What else am I gonna tell you.
I want this same exact combination right here.
I want one so bad!
This is a heavy, heavy, heavy watch.
You're definitely some stunts with this.
You're bullying.
It's a very classy gentlemen's piece, understated for those that don't know what it is.
And you're looking to pay for something like this in the area of about $90 grand.
I'm sure there's some out there a little bit cheaper, maybe a little bit more, but I would
say a base number is, you're gonna be in the $90,000 range.
