☔ It's in the layers – SCIENTIFIC PROOF of Noah's Ark & the global flood | Genesis 7:17-23 - Duration: 14:09.

Mmm. Oh my gosh I haven't had alcohol so long. That's gross. Oh god, I hate the

taste of Bailey's.

(Music plays)

Hey everyone! Its Rachel! Today on Crack Your Bible we are

going to be talking about Genesis 7 and the flood. We are at a point in Genesis 7

where Noah is already in the ark, the animals are the ark, and now God is

shutting them in. They don't shut themselves in, God shuts them in. And the

day that they go on the ark, is the day the heavens open up. You have that layer

around the earth, it is falling to the earth. And likewise, the springs of the

deep are bursting forth. And we know from science that there are springs under the

deep, there's also underwater volcanoes and that's what all forms islands. So

what we have is a very violent event taking place. You're having animal debris,

you are having plant life debris, you are having humans (well,

"hybrids") all mixed up in this water and ice mess. And it is happening very

violently, very quickly. So we see that in Genesis 7, everybody's on the ark and

then everything just goes insane. We know that it's really violent, and it says

that the water started to rise, the heavens are opened up, and that the water

rose so fast over the next 40 days that the mountaintops were underwater by an

additional 23 feet of water. (Genesis 7:17-23 on screen)

I believe it is 15 cubits, which is roughly 23 feet. So

everything is submerged in water. And we see that the fossil record, science backs

up what the Bible says. Because even at the tallest mountains we see fossils of

sea life. And what didn't make it on the ark? Sea life, because they don't need to!

What we see is that science and geology actually backs up what the Bible says.

And I want you guys to understand that we have a base layer rock. It's called

the "great unconformity." You can see it all over the world. I saw it when I was in

Colorado. You can see it at the Grand Canyon. You can see it in Europe. You can

see it in Asia. And what it is, is it is a base layer of rock that is not like any

of the other rocks on top of it, because they're all sedimentary law rocks that

are in layers, so striations, like stripes. So what you had is what the

land looked like in Noah's day. So that would be called the "great unconformity."

And then when everything burst forth, so you're going to have the earth busting

up so that you can have mountains, you can have tectonic plates shifting for the springs

to burst forth, underwater volcanoes which science backs up that we have.

That's what forms islands. So you can have a bunch of rock bursting forth and

that's what we see. But also, we see striation in rock, so sedimentary layers

of rock. And what I wanted to show you was how this would all have happened

very quickly. I'm going to link a Netflix documentary below it's called "Is Genesis

History" on Netflix. I hope you guys will check it out, because it's way more in depth. I

just started watching it, it's like an hour and a half about why we can trust

the Genesis flood account and how science backs it up. But this morning I

was drinking a water bottle, and I put tumeric powder and pepper powder in it,

along with some other liquid vitamins. And I noticed I... like no matter how much

I shook it up, it would immediately fall to the bottom. So I had to refill my

water bottle a few times, added some coconut milk, kept it tilted

so that all of the sediment - all of the turmeric and pepper - wouldn't just sink

to the bottom, and then I would never be able to actually consume it. And it made

me think, "this is exactly how it was in Noah's day!" Because we see from the

fossil record, we see fossils. We see animals being covered up very quickly. So

when you have the springs of the deep burst forth, you have the heavens fall.

You have a lot of matter being mixed up in a watery medium, you are going to

have layers start forming very quickly as things separate out by their density.

And what do I mean by their "density?" What's heaviest sinks to the bottom, and

what's a little less heavy goes on top, and then what's even lighter than those

two layers rests on the top of that. And I'm going to show you how that works

with something that you guys might be familiar with. It's called "alcohol!" And

Noah drank in the Bible, Jesus' first miracle was changing water into wine, not

grape juice, so clearly there was some alcohol in it. I have a lot of alcohol at

my house because I always wanted to be like a "good hostess," but I've noticed

every time I offer people a drink, they're like, "Oh no, I'm good. I'll just

have a water, Thanks." So I have all this alcohol and I've had it for years, like a

long time, and I can't get rid of it. So I'm going to try my first try at making

a layered drink to show how quickly layers form and how density works, so

that you can understand how we have these rock layers.

We're going to try this again with three different colors.

So remember, base layer is going to be the great unconformity, and then when all

the rocks and the sediment are in the water, your heaviest liquids are going to

go to the bottom, so like your rocks and your dirt that

are the heaviest. Now we take our next one. (Whispering: Please work. Of course not. It mixes.) And

then your lightest stuff is going to be, again I don't know if this is even going to

taste good, I'm probably not even going to try it.

I'm just looking for things that are different densities. And I saw on YouTube that when you

mix Bailey's and Chambord, it is called a "jelly donut shot." I've never had it, but

this is what it is right there, but I want to do a third

layer, so I'm going to pour some triple sec on top. And let's see if this rests on

top of the Bailey's. (Whispers: Where will it go?) Let's see what happened. So that's basically what's

going to happen with your rock layers. You're going to have the heaviest stuff

at the bottom, and then it just decreases in density - so heaviest all the way up to

lightest. Now the layers, as you can see, do have some bumps here and there, like

it's not a perfectly straight line,

whereas this one's more defined. But that's what we see with rock layers. You

see kind of that bumpiness. And if there was erosion, these things would have

been completely worn away. There would be pitting and things like that. Because if

you've ever left anything outside for a long period of time, you know things

erode. And if you leave things outside for billions of years, they erode into

nothingness. So let me show you what happens with sediment over time. You can

see the sediment at the bottom, which is the rice that has gone to the bottom. So

the rice is the heaviest and the liquid on top is lighter. And then there is air.

Same thing happened in the flood. So that is a bottle

of sake. Here is a bottle of Orgeat, which is almond liqueur. It's unopened

and I've had it for years, so it is completely separated into its parts. You

have a lot of sugar density here, which is why it's clear here and cloudy at the

top. So the almond matter is less dense than this sugar syrup here. That's why

it's separated into two layers. Over here, I have this apple cider which is

completely solid. But if you guys can see, it's darker at the bottom and lighter at

the top. But you see these darker spots that go up, and that's because the layers

formed because I had it tilted like this in my deep freezer. So you see the

striation patterns in here, as what was most dense actually fell to the sides. So

then you have these layers like this and you'll see this in rock especially here

in Las Vegas, you'll see rocks that are like this and continued striation

patterns going up like this. What I want you to consider was this frozen thing is,

if there's frozen ice falling from the heavens, you're going to have chunks that

land on the actual bottom, so that bedrock or that great unconformity layer.

So if you have a big chunk of ice and then you have sediment that falls on it,

you're going to have something like this happen. So pretend you have ice here.

And then you have all the sediment coming down in layers. As as it settles,

it... the heaviest stuff forms at the bottom and then so on and so forth. As it

gets lighter and you still have this ice here, but then over time as that ice

melts, and then you have this rock layer that's formed. That's how you're going to

get this jutting piece of rock. Something has to have been underneath for it to

have the striation patterns that are perfect, perfect lines

and then to have nothing underneath. And that goes directly in line with what the

Bible says. We have the heavens fall. We have the springs from the deep. It was

very, very violent. What was going on, if you've ever been in a hailstorm, if

you've ever seen what hail can do to a vehicle, imagine that over the entire

world - that you have giant, giant, giant chunks of ice falling. Like boulder-sized,

like mountain-sized ice chunks of ice. You are going to have some serious damage happen.

All of the pressure from everything that's falling is going to create a lot

of damage on the surface of the earth. It's going to mix up a lot of dust and

dirt and debris and rocks. And that's why in these sedimentary layers. You see sea

creatures, because remember those are the animals that didn't make it on the ark.

And with those sedimentary layers, you're quickly killing all of the animal life,

which is what the Bible says. So you have an animal, like it's knocked over from

just the force of things falling and quickly it's covered up by this dirt. And

that is what we see in the fossil record. We see animals quickly dying. We see

footprints of animals, because if you've ever been to the beach - you step in the

sand and five seconds later, because of the density of water and sand, your

footprints are either washed away or water comes up and your footprints just

kind of melt away. But we see in the fossil record, prints everywhere. So that

means that water and dust are coming together, debris is coming together, and

it is just forming these layers. Just like with the alcohol, quickly forming

layers, trapping things underneath. So you don't have oxygen and when you deprive

things of oxygen, they don't rot. You'll have a perfect environment so that we

can get fossils, and all of this goes in line with what the Bible says. So we see

that the fossil record is actually backing up what the

Bible says. Now if you want to interpret it a different way, if these a trillion

years old, okay but that's not what that the fossil record is showing. We're seeing a

base layer of rock, the great unconformity, then we see sea creatures

in sedimentary layer, over, and over, and over that builds up quite quickly, just

like you can see with what happened with the explosion at Mount St. Helen. I know

that's not exhaustive, but I really hope that you guys will check out that

documentary on Netflix. I hope you guys enjoy that. I will see you guys on

Wednesday and I would love for you to like, subscribe and share, and I will talk

to you guys later. Bye!
