Moon, Trump bilateral summit: Agreements made on various fronts - Duration: 4:52.
Presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump held their third bilateral summit since taking
office, but first here in South Korea earlier today.
For details, let's go live to our chief Blue House correspondent, Moon Connyoung.
South Korea, U.S. alliance, North Korea's nuclear and missile threat, and the Korea,
U.S. bilateral free trade agreement.
All three were thoroughly discussed by the leaders of South Korea and the U.S. during
their bilateral summit, the third of its kind since the two took office... in Seoul's presidential
Blue House a few hours ago.
First, on North Korea...
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder for a joint news conference following a one-on-one and
expanded bilateral summit, the two leaders echoed in one voice - North Korea must curb
its nuclear and ballistic missile development.
U.S. President Donald Trump stressed the urgency of curbing North Korea's nuclear ambitions...
saying it's time to act with urgency and with great determination... calling on China, Russia
and other nations to "demand" an end to North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
Notice the difference in tone of Mr. Trump's language.
He said the U.S. is prepared to use the full range of military force to stop a North Korean
attack, but that he was focused on using "all available tools short of military action"
to prevent conflict.
That is very much in line with Mr. Moon's remarks that the two leader have agreed to
a peaceful resolution of the North Korea issue.
Second, South Korea, U.S. alliance.
Many a times the two leaders stressed how steadfast the decades-old alliance is... and
South Korea will immediately start talks with the United States on developing the nation's
military capabilities, including deploying the latest surveillance assets.
The two agreed on lifting the warhead payload limits on South Korean ballistic missiles...
and they are also cooperating on strengthening South Korea's defense capabilities through
the acquisition or development of advanced weapons systems ---- included here is nuclear-powered
submarines.
The military burden-sharing - more speifically sharing of the cost for U.S. forces in South
Korea will also be divided between the two at "reasonable levels."
What about trade?
President Trump has, on a number of occasions, expressed his discontent with the Korea, U.S.
free trade agreement.
Yes, of course.
Thirdly, trade.
Both Presidents Moon and Trump said the two sides are working on expediting the process
of renegotiating the five-year trade document...
for a more free, fair, and reciprocal trade deal.
The current Korea, U.S. free trade agreement, President Trump said has been quite unsuccessful
and not very good for the United States.
He also said South Korea has committed to purchasing billions of dollars of military
equipment from the United States.
What lies ahead for America's first couple during their two-day state visit to South
Korea?
Well, President Moon and First Lady Kim Jung-sook are hosting a grand state dinner for Mr. and
Mrs. Trump.
In fact, it got underway just moments ago.
Joined by hundreds of officials, cultural figures, and other distinguished guests, South
Korea and the U.S.
First Couples will enjoy a meal that will satisify the Trumps' taste buds while adhering
to the principle of highlighting the local cuisine.
Not only that, a full-size orchestra and K-pop musicians will complete the grand fete with
cultural performances.
That's tonight...
Tomorrow, on the second and final day of his state visit, Mr. Trump will address Seoul's
National Assembly and pay a visit to the National Cemetery before flying out to China, Daniel.

President Donald J. Trump is currently in Asia, attempting to solidify alliances with
nations critical in resisting North Korea's aggression.
It should come as no surprise then, that in an incredibly cowardly move, sneaky little
Obama decided to do the unthinkable to all 26 victims of the Texas shooting while President
Trump was occupied overseas.
Violence against conservatives is ramping up, and this latest shooting is yet another
piece of evidence to show it.
Everywhere you look, Trump supporters and even moderate conservatives are being targeted
as "Nazis" and gunned down, like in the Las Vegas Massacre.
Just yesterday, while hard-working Christian families gathered in a small church to worship
God, a disgusting lunatic decided to open fire on the crowd—children and all.
Thankfully one of the men in the church had a gun and was able to stop the attacker, but
not before he managed to kill 26 innocent people.
While many Republicans, including President Trump, have mourned the deaths of these families
and their loved ones, the Democrats have been hard at work to undermine our country from
within.
Rather than expressing grief, they've been politicizing the entire incident, pushing
for gun control.
It should come as no surprise then that chief leftist Barack Hussein Obama decided to stand
on the graves of these individuals, metaphorically of course, and use them as political puppets
to accomplish his end goal of disarming the people of America and putting all the guns
into the hands of our government.

Former President Barack Obama used the Texas church shooting that left 26 people dead on
Sunday to call for fewer guns.
Obama said that Americans should ask God for "the wisdom to ask what concrete steps we
can take to reduce the violence and weaponry in our midst."
"We grieve with all the families in Sutherland Springs harmed by this act of hatred, and
we'll stand with the survivors as they recover," Obama wrote on Twitter.
"May God also grant all of us the wisdom to ask what concrete steps we can take to
reduce the violence and weaponry in our midst."
Obama, who has taken an unusually active role during his successor's administration, offered
no specific details on what those steps to reduce the guns "in our midst" would look
like.
Sunday's shooting, carried out by 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley, was the worst mass shooting
in Texas history.
A local gun owner is reported to have opened fire on Kelley with a rifle, preventing him
from taking any more lives.

Obama's reaction to Sunday's massacre was significantly more political than President
Trump's.
This is how little respect Obama has for these victims of such a tragedy—he didn't even
wait a mere 24 hours before he began to politicize the entire event and use these dead bodies
as political props to push his anti-gun agenda.
Leave it up to Obama to make such a disgusting statement.

BASEBALL LEGEND VIN SCULLY BLASTS FOOTBALL'S NATIONAL ANTHEM PROTESTS - Duration: 1:58.
Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully is a living legend, having announced Dodgers
games for over half a century.
He done a lot of talking, and now, he is weighing in on the National Anthem protests in the
NFL.
And he is not happy with it.
Scully spoke out on the protests when asked, and didn't mince words.
For the old school broadcaster, tradition and honoring of the past is a part of baseball,
and he does not like what he is seeing in the National Football League.
He is so upset over the conduct of the protesting players, he is pledging not to watch NFL games
again over it.
Fox News reports.
Famed L.A. Dodgers Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully spoke publicly on the issue of
the anthem before games and made the decree that he's officially done watching football.
The 89-year-old sportscaster was giving a speech at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in
California on Saturday when, according to ESPN, he was asked about the protests.
"During the fall and winter, I watch the NFL on Sunday, and it's not that I'm some
great patriot.
I was in the Navy for a year, didn't go anywhere, didn't do anything, but I have
overwhelming respect and admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and goes to war.
So the only thing that I can do in my little way is to not to preach; I will never watch
another NFL game."
As Sports Illustrated notes, Scully's remarks come at a relatively safe time for him, as
he retired last year after almost seven decades as a broadcaster for the Dodgers.
Over the past two seasons of the NFL, players have been kneeling during the National Anthem,
despite the NFL guidelines encouraging players to stand and place their hands over their
hearts.
