For Complex News, I'm Pierce Simpson // Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are looking

to lock down their sixth Super Bowl this weekend as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in

Super Bowl LII.

The last time these two teams faced off in the postseason was Super Bowl XXXIX when Brady

and Co. brought home their third title in four seasons...

However, one coach who was a part of the Eagles squad is now alluding that the Patriots possibly

cheated to win that title.

Former Eagles linebacker coach and Giants interim coach this season, Steve Spagnolo

explained to 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly what exactly happened during that Super Bowl back

in 2005.

"I remember through the course of the game Jim[ then defensive coordinator] saying, 'They're

getting our signals.

They know when we're blitzing…try to hide it, etc.'"

"I remember distinctly thinking, 'Jim, I don't think that's true.'

Now I'm not saying this to him, because I just don't want to upset him.

I'm saying it to myself.

'I don't think so, Jim, just concentrate on calling the game.'

In hindsight, he was right.

When you go back and look at that tape, it was evident to us."

Over the course of the Belichick & Brady era a variety of cheating allegations have been

a part of the narrative.. whether that's spygate, deflate gate or the act of allegedly recording

the Rams practice before Super Bowl XXXVI.

However, as for Spagnolo, he isn't placing the entire loss of Super Bowl XXXIX on the

Patriots allegedly stealing defensive signals.

'I'm not crying over spilled milk here but we believed that Tom knew when we were pressuring,

because he certainly got the ball out pretty quick.

But you know, you got to play the game, and they won that particular day."

Spagnolo sort of got the Patriots back by helping bring down the undefeated New England

Patriots back in 2007.

As for this year, the Eagles will have to figure it out on their own as they'll take

on Brady and company this Sunday in Super Bowl LII -- Complex will have a ton of coverage

from Minneapolis but who are y'all rocking with on Sunday?
