Hey guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com.
Today, I'm bringing you a detailed overview of the Xtreme Stop Precision Cross-Drilled
& Slotted Rotors, fitting the front of all '94 to '04 GT and V6 Mustangs.
In this video, I'll be going over the functionality and braking performance benefits you can expect
out of these rotors from Xtreme Stop as well as the materials and construction.
I'll top the video off with the install, which I'll let you know upfront is a very simple
one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, simply because this is going to be
no different than any other brake job.
The Xtreme Stop Precision Cross-Drilled & Slotted Rotors will be for any '94 to '04 GT or V6
owner who's looking to greatly improve their stopping performance on their SN95 by getting
a better overall rotor design than the OEM stock styling.
So as you can see by the title and the look of this product, this one actually features
both a drilled and slotted rotor design, which is actually going to be far more effective
than the OEM stock styling, which is just a smooth, flat surface.
Now this, I'm going to detail every aspect of this and tell you exactly why the cross-drilled
is beneficial as well as the slotted design, and I'll tell you exactly what you'll be getting
and what you can expect for your SN95.
Now as far as the cross-drilled design is concerned, that basically just refers to the
holes drilled in this particular sequence and design throughout the entire rotor here.
As you can see, they're in a sequence of threes in between each slot.
These cross-drilled designs or drilled holes in the rotor surface actually allows heat
to escape, so when your brakes are in use and the brake pads are in contact with the
rotor, this is actually going to allow heat to escape through the holes and through your
vented vein design, which I'll discuss in just a second.
With excess heat going through the materials instead of lingering around the braking surface
here, that actually allows for a better overall stopping power.
So escaping through the heat with the cross-drilled design is extremely beneficial in your braking
performance.
Now the slotted design essentially just refers to those slots you see carved into the materials
here.
Now the difference between the slots and the drilled holes is that the the drilled holes
are actually going through the entire material.
These slots are just indentations on the rotor's surface.
What the slots are actually being used for is when the brake pad comes in contact with
this rotor, there's a lot of brake dust that can build up around the surface, preventing
a very good initial bite.
Now, when the brake dust hits the surface, this will actually escape through the slotted
design as well as some of those brake dust gases that can build up here, preventing from
a good initial bite.
So obviously, you can pick up a rotor that offers just the cross-drilled design or just
the slotted design for your model, but of course bringing them both together, like Xtreme
Stop did can maximize your braking performance without spending the big bucks on a Brembo
kit.
Now obviously, this is going to look extremely aggressive in between the spokes of your wheels,
so that's just another added bonus.
One of the added benefits of the Xtreme Stop rotor is that it actually offers what is known
as a vented vein design on the internal chamber.
So basically, to put that in simpler terms, if I pick this up here, and you can see in-between
the rotor surfaces, there are different little slots in-between this little gap.
That's the vented vein design.
The internal chamber here allows, when the gases and heat travel through the cross-drilled
section, it can actually be slotted through this vented vein design to help significantly
with the cooling capacity of the rotors.
This is definitely gonna keep the brakes cooler.
Cooler means a better initial bite.
Better initial bite, better braking performance.
Now as far as materials and construction goes here, expect Xtreme Stop to have these CNC-machined
out of a premium cast one-piece iron.
They have drilled holes and milled slots for balance, of course.
On top of that, these can actually have been proven to drop operating temperatures up to
200 degrees over the OEM standard rotors.
They were then completed in a bright zinc, electroplated treatment to make sure it has
that good look, and of course fights off that rust.
Now as far as the pricing goes, Xtreme Stop is relatively new to the SN95 market here.
Comparing it to some of the other options, this comes in at right around 100 bucks, whereas
the other ones can be about $200 to $250, just for the front pair you see here.
So 100 bucks is gonna be one of the least expensive options on the site for your SN95,
while still offering really good materials and a really advanced drilled and slotted
design.
Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the very beginning,
this one's gonna be as simple as any other brake job for your SN95.
As far as tools go, you wanna have a lug wrench, a jack and jack stands, or a lift if you have
access to one, a ratchet, and a simple socket set, as well as a C-clamp to get the front
calipers compressed.
You should expect to have this one done in about an hour or two in the driveway at home,
and of course you'll get a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.
Now as far as the install itself, all you'll have to do is jack up the front end of your
'94 to '04 GT or V6, use your lug wrench to get rid of one of those wheels, and of course,
from there, you'll have to remove the calipers from the rotor itself.
If you're swapping out the brake pads, which I highly suggest doing at this time, you'll
have to decompress those rotors, grease up the new pads, swap them in.
Now if you're just working on the rotors, all you'll have to do is remove the caliper
and its bracket, pop off the old rotor, pop on the new one, reinstall everything in the
reverse order.
Overall, about an hour's worth of time in the driveway at home and a one out of three
wrenches on our difficulty meter.

Alright, so let's take a closer look.
This is the EF-M 28mm. It's a
constant f-3.5 which is important, we want
to make sure we have a good amount of
light when we're working with macro.
Another good feature is, it has image
stabilization, that's very important
because the more you magnify the steady
you have to hold it, and again this is
meant for the M-series camera so very
few of us are gonna be walking around with
huge tripods for this,
that's why it has that hybrid system so it
gives you up to three stops of image
stabilization.
Canon USA, manufacturer's warranty, comes
with the warranty card, again, only good
in the US and purchased from an
authorized dealer like Digital Goja and
your EF instruction Paphlet. This cute
little thing up here, this is your lens
hood and it is a unique filter size, it's
a 43 millimeter they're out there, I mean
it isn't a common size but you can still
get some nice you UV's, CPL and ND filters
for it and this is what allows you to
put it right on the camera and thread
a filter on there if we choose to. Take a look
at the actual product,
very well packaged, it is guaranteeing that you
get in one piece.
Nice and compact, again, this is for the
M-series. Has the STM motor, very easy to
work with,
super-lightweight. Notice how it has the
compact system so I can open it up like
this and this is what releases the lens
for it to work. You have your super macro
which allows you to shoot as close as a
minimum focusing distance of .37
inches and of course it is a 1.2 x
magnification factor, so it's not actual
life size, it's a little bit more
magnification but guess what, since it is
a 28 millimeter you can get really up
close. And here's that hat trick I was
talking about, it has a built-in LED ring
light, that's awesome because as I stated
before we need light when we're working
with macro shots. So let's give it a try
on the very popular eos M5. Lets swap out the
lens here,
line it up now the beauty of this is if you
notice it has a ring light but there's
no power source, why? it's powered by the
camera this is what gives you the actual
power source. So when I turn on my camera
here, here is your light button, press it
once,
notice how you can actually activate one
section of the ring light, hold it down
now you have both of them, hold it down,
you can actually do it hold it down both
of them and then both of them if you
choose to so it gives you a lot of
options so that you can create some
incredible stills and video with macro
technology. So if you're in the market

Bernie Sanders Warns About Dangers Of Corporate-Controlled Media - Duration: 3:54.
In an interview with Amy Goodman from Democracy Now, just a few weeks after the presidential
election, Senator Bernie Sanders told Goodman that one of the biggest threats to American
democracy is the corporate controlled media.
In terms of things that Bernie Sanders has said this year, most of them, almost all of
them have been absolutely true, but this one could not be more true.
This is one of the most profound statements, I believe, that Senator Bernie Sanders has
made this entire year, and that's on top of a year of just phenomenal statements from
Bernie Sanders.
Because think about this, the corporate controlled media does not tell us the truth anymore.
They tell us parts of the truth.
They tell us bits and pieces here and there, but we know, and we know from experience here,
that they do censor what they're able to tell you.
They have to run it through their advertisers sometimes.
They have to run it through boards of directors, who also happen to sit on the boards of major
pharmaceutical companies, of energy companies, of health insurance companies.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
The corporate media is a threat to democracy because they no longer do what they're designed
to do, and that is to educate the public about the issues.
They don't do that anymore, and Bernie Sanders understands that.
It's not necessarily the fact that they don't do it, it's the fact that they can't do it
because of their corporate sponsors, their corporate masters.
They can't tell us the truth anymore.
When you have a media that wants to sensationalize everything, not only does it harm the public
intellect, but it makes us rush into rash decisions.
Think about the Iraq War.
The New York Times, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, everybody talking about the fact that Saddam
Hussein unquestionably, undeniably was stock piling yellow cake, uranium, aluminum tubes,
weapons of mass destruction, biological weapons.
My god, this man was about to launch a war against the entire planet and he was going
to win if we didn't take him out right now.
The media helped push that story, and it weakened American democracy.
It weakened our national and international standing with the rest of the world.
They're still doing those things.
We saw it with Iran a couple years ago.
We saw it with Libya.
The media cannot be trusted to protect the American public anymore.
They're not telling us about dangerous pharmaceuticals out there that will kill you if you take them
as directed.
They're not telling us about health insurance company jacking up prices just for the sake
of jacking up prices and getting more money.
They're not telling us those stories, and yes, that is a huge threat to democracy as
Bernie Sanders has pointed out.
I'll say now what I've said a hundred times in the past.
Turn it off.
There is no reason, and I don't care if you like a couple of the hosts or whatever, there
is no reason to ever tune in to corporate controlled media.
MSNBC, Fox News, CNN.
Shut it off and never look back.
