so I have had the model x for about two weeks
now and I've had a ton of questions from
you guys about it I get it because it's
kind of a weird car the doors are
strange it looks weird
nothing about this car is typical cards
it's really a piece attack that you can
drive so we put out question that all
our social media to see what big
questions you guys had about the Model X
I'm do my best to answer each one of
them
this one comes from snapchat love to
hear a bit more about the sound system
and phone connectivity can store a
library for offline play cyber the cars
upgraded sound mostly because that's the
only way to get satellite radio with XM
built-in but if you are into music you
do get things like dolby surround you
get more granular control over the
speakers and get a better audio
experience it also comes built into some
streaming options you've got slacker and
tune in
it's got an LTE radio integrate into the
cars use that to stream and that's free
you don't pay for any of the data the
cards using least 44 right now it
doesn't have any built-in storage sort
of offload stuff to bail the streaming
options make it really nice and of
course bluetooth connectivity for
connecting the foam though you don't
have to have it plugged in or
discriminating from returning to that
via bluetooth but i do have a quick doc
lightning connection built into the car
and enjoy see the lightning or micro USB
didn't have a USBC option so I figured
things moving away from micro have
lighting in this case I ever using an
iphone them so what is the average range
of the car there few different options
you can get i got 275 deeds 75 mins got
a 75 kilowatt hour battery the d means
dual motors there is a 90 kilowatt hour
battery pack and then there's a 100
kilowatt hour battery pack that's going
to give you more range as you move up
the advertised range in the 75 237 it
jumped up to and 57 for the 19 about 289
going to 9400 kilowatt hour battery pack
that's if you charge your battery up two
hundred percent it's not good for the
cart generally charge up two hundred
percent so I do an eighty-percent charge
which is usually where i keep most of
the time i have a range of about 207
miles i drove up to Los Angeles this
past weekend so I kicked it out to about
ninety percent and a range of 217 miles
built into the car i've been using
autopilot a lot if so is your experience
with it been so i got this car with
autopilot 2.2 hardware that is its eight
cameras all along the car and enhance
censoring ability with the huge
supercomputer built-in that's the plus
side the downside of that is doesn't
have any autopilot abilities right now
so I can't even do autopilot one cars
can do you want a musket that's coming
by and get this weekend probably when
you're watching this video already have
general auto pilot stuff right now I
don't have it got a ton of cameras that
will work in the future but things that
I should expect way into the week
actually expect the enhanced lane keep
essentially i can drive hands-free and
can't keep me away and followed gradual
turns ultimately though this car is
equipped for full level 5 honor of
meeting again the car the morning to go
to work i go to sleep in the back
elon musk and test was said that should
be around the end of 2017 that's barring
some drag kantik regulatory approval
also i'll be with the cargo the
autopilot sensors control things like
automatic headlights wipers being able
to detect when training and things like
that so I don't even have that stuff
working in this car you don't know what
castle it gets over their updates when I
say it will get that ability just like
on your phone I'll get a push
notification on my screen thing i have a
software update push install and Tony
the cars gotten features in former
intern dan Gillis you have the wings hit
anyone or anything i have not actually
been really sensitive and have not hit
anything I have a pretty tight garage
and they open up just far enough for me
to get in and out never had anything in
the doors themselves like control the
front doors from the touchscreen and
open those up Dave sensors in them as
well and those stop from hitting a car
which is which

special to you i was driving a model s
before this really like the performance
of an electric car I like technology
into it and I like driving electric /
also when I got that car and have kids I
now have two kids which means i'm
hauling a lot of people a lot of stuff
and shoulders i drive my son to school
on the weekends i'm generally driving
both kids around so i wanted a car that
could grow with us if we end up having a
third kid I can be able to have car
seats installed i didn't have the
flexibility necessarily with the model s
so I figured let's try the exxon better
if the house doors are gonna hold up but
i will say the doors have been working
great and sure that you get kids in and
out and that was another big reason that
I wanted to get the end has an impact
your monthly energy bill so I've got a
second meter installed at my house I can
set the car to charge off our so for me
after nine o'clock the rates dropped
down to eleven cents a kilowatt so i
decided to charge it
905 generally 4,000 miles of driving
universal and the cost me twenty thirty
bucks you know depending if i charge of
public stations are discharged home very
minimal impact on our ability so how
long does it take to charge a good
question so for my home
I've got a 240 outlet installed i think
i have it set for 30 amps that charges
at 27 miles per hour so you can do the
math right there generally less than 10
hours from an empty car of fully charged
but I don't generally drive to almost
zero like a cell phone i plug in at
night I come out in the morning and plug
it in and it's fully charged
I can't go to Tesla supercharger though
I get eighty percent charge in about
20-30 minutes so lots of questions on
the test that we covered a huge amount
on the doors we have questions about
that

Scientists Just Discovered A New State Of Water! - Duration: 3:56.
You'd think by now scientists would have learned everything there is to know about one oxygen
and two hydrogen atoms, H2O.
But we learn new things about water all the time.
Really, we do.
Hey there, hydro-friends, Trace here for DNews!
Water is important for… well, every living thing on earth; it is part of every single
cell in our bodies, and all plants and animals need water to survive.
But despite its ubiquity, water is incredibly unique.
It goes from solid to gas in a smaller temperature range than many other compounds.
Plus, when you cool it down into ice, it expands AND becomes less dense than its liquid form.
That doesn't happen with most other substances!
You'd think by now, scientists would have already learned everything there is to know
about this combination of one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms — H2O.
But we learn new things about water all the time!
For example, a study in the December 2016 Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences
showed ice doesn't melt the way you think it does.
Instead of melting all at once, in a sort of continuous process, it goes layer by layer...
The top layer is only 45 nanometers at its thickest, or 1/1000 the thickness of a human
hair, and it stays liquid-like below 0 degrees celsius...which is the reason ice is slippery!
In fact, this new study showed that it's liquid-like even at negative 38 degrees!
That's...slick!
And while this study might be pretty "cool," another 2016 study from the International
Journal of Nanotechnology could be even more awesome.
It found that water might actually have TWO distinct liquid states.
You probably know that all matter exists in one of five states — solid, liquid, gas,
sometimes plasma, and very rarely Bose-Einstein condensate, where the atoms start to act like
waves.
But in this study, researchers found that liquid water actually undergoes a change in
its properties — how it behaves — when it is cooled from 60 degrees celsius to 40
degrees.
They're calling this the "crossover temperature".
In other words, even though water "looks" identical just above and below this temperature
range, it has different properties, and thus, is potentially two distinct types of liquid
water.
When water is cooled, it loses its ability to store electrical energy — also called
its dielectric constant.
Researchers thought that this happened in a linear fashion, but at the crossover temperature,
it gets a kink in this linear line.
This small change impacts other physical properties of the liquid, like the speed of sound in
water and how it conducts heat.
Above 60C, liquid water's chemical properties look more like what we'd associate with
water vapor or steam.
Below that, the properties appear more ice-like.
And although the change is small, it may have a dramatic effect on molecular systems.
The researchers looked at how proteins behave in water at the crossover temperature, and
around the 60 degree mark, certain systems of proteins go from being stable to unstable.
The researchers think that the physical changes in water at this temperature may be impacting
the proteins directly.
With further research, this could help us learn how certain diseases infect us.
The two states of liquid water could also change how we work with microscopic systems,
like nanoparticles, which are sensitive to this crossover temperature.
So, water is still kind of mysterious, and there's probably a lot more to learn about
it.
I mean, only recently have scientists learned how it is even able to conduct electricity,
or the fact that forcing it through tiny tubes changes it's boiling and freezing points.
Even though it's all around us and inside of us, that's no reason to take water for
granted.

2015-2017 F-150 Magnaflow MF Series Cat-Back Exhaust - Split Side Exit (5.0L) Sound Clip & Install - Duration: 6:23.
Hey, everybody, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com and this is my detailed review and install
of the MagnaFlow MF Series Cat-Back Exhaust system, featuring the split side exit configuration,
available for your 5-liter powered 2015 and newer F-150.
Since this is an exhaust review, we're gonna be talking about the big three here, guys.
We're gonna be talking about the sound profile, you can expect when checking out the MagnaFlow,
what you're gonna be looking at as far as construction materials, and then finally a
quick little walkthrough of the install itself.
I'm happy to report there's no cutting, no permanent modification needed here with the
MagnaFlow, so expect a rather mundane one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter
with a little bit more detail coming up later on.
The MagnaFlow we have in this video should appeal to the Coyote truck owners out there
who want to increase that classic V8 rumble a little bit, but not too much over the factory
exhaust system.
With that said, and with that moderate bump in sound, both inside and outside of the truck,
this is also gonna be a killer system for the owners who wanna ditch that puny single
side exit stuff and go with each tried and true truck configuration, that dual split
rear exit dumping after the rear tires.
Let's stick with that configuration here a little bit more, because I do think it's the
big draw with this particular cat-back from MagnaFlow.
And if you've been shopping for a 5-liter system for your F-150, you've probably stumbled
across a lot of different systems, and you probably also noticed that MangaFlow has a
lot to offer for their cat-backs.
That's something that I really enjoy personally.
It gives you the owner some options on how you want the system to look, and it also gives
you some options when it comes to price.
Keep in mind though, the dual split exit configuration that we have in this video is the most expensive
in MagnaFlow's lineup for your five-liter truck.
And it does make sense because ultimately you're getting the most material.
Even though there is some variation with the configuration and also the price, don't expect
a huge variation when it comes to overall sound between the systems.
That's because all of the MagnaFlow options here on the site with the exception of the
off-road series are gonna utilize the same straight-through by design MF series muffler,
which is gonna produce a very similar sound system to system.
And in my opinion, that's really not a bad thing because I really do enjoy the sound
from the MagnaFlow Cat-Backs.
And speaking of sound, well, you guys heard the sound clips at the very top of this video,
so ultimately you can be the judge if you like this thing or not.
But what I can tell you is the MagnaFlow produces a very well-rounded sound, a very deep tone
overall.
You're not gonna be the loudest truck on the block, you're not gonna win any revving competitions,
but I really enjoy the tone.
Breaking out my scale, I'm going three out of five, a strong three out of five at that,
on my one to five or one to wake the neighbor scale.
Again, a very well-rounded tone, rasp is minimal at best, and the interior drone is hardly
there at all.
Ultimately, if you have a daily driver, I really think this is gonna be right in your
wheelhouse.
Let's talk about how the MagnaFlow achieves that nice deep tone.
And again, it's the muffler.
This is their MF series muffler, it's actually a straight-through by design muffler, this
is their three-inch inlet to two and a half inch outlet dual muffler here, straight-through
by design.
It's got a perforated tube on the inside that's actually wrapped with a stainless steel material.
And then the entire muffler is packed with this acoustic fiber material, and that's gonna
be what's responsible for shaping the overall tone of this system.
Moving away from the sound here, let's talk construction briefly.
And again, top-notch quality from MagnaFlow as is the case here, more times than that
when we're looking at their systems.
Four hundred nine grade stainless steel, again, this is their dual split exit configuration.
You're gonna have a three-inch primary pipe here going into the muffler splitting off
into a two and a half inch tubing, all of it mandrel bent, all exiting out the three
and a half inch polished tips.
All of the stuff is made in the USA and it is all backed by your lifetime warranty.
Switching gears, let's talk install.
And as I mentioned at the very top of this video, don't expect a tough job here with
the MagnaFlow.
So sticking with my guns, one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, an hour
or two underneath the truck before you're making some noise.
MagnaFlow states you only need a couple of basic hand tools to get this guy in place
including a 15-millimeter socket, 8-millimeter socket, and a hangar removal tool, flathead
screwdriver or a pry bar will work just fine and a pinch if you don't have one of those
laying around the garage.
Now, you're probably gonna wanna start from front to back here after you remove that factory
cat-back.
This is the dual split exit configuration so MagnaFlow tosses in a brand-new hangar
that you will use with the frame.
You already have a hole there, so there's no drilling, no permanent modification, and
really even no cutting here with the MagnaFlow.
Again, straightforward install, hour or two from start to finish, and you should be making
some noise in no time.
The MagnaFlow systems for the newer F-150s is probably one of my favorite for both the
Coyote-powered trucks and the EcoBoost-powered trucks alike.
The tone is really solid without being over-the-top.
Construction is top-notch and that dual split configuration looks really sharp when installed.

Wisconsin Republicans Delete Phrase "Climate Change" From State Website - Duration: 5:04.
If you happen to end up online today on the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources'
website, there's something that you won't see today that you likely would have seen
a few days ago, and that is any mention of the phrase climate change or even the word
climate.
That's right, the republican-controlled state of Wisconsin has scrubbed all mentions of
climate change from the state's Department of Natural Resources' website.
Obviously, the state of Wisconsin right now is run by republican Scott Walker, who is
one of the Coke Brothers' favorite puppets throughout this country.
He has delivered absolutely everything the Coke Brothers have ever wanted him to do,
and this removal of the phrase climate change is another step in that direction.
It is a massive gift to both the Coke Brothers and anyone within the fossil fuel industry
hoping to do business in the state of Wisconsin.
This is kind of similar to what happened recently in the state of Florida when our Coke Brother-controlled
Governor Rick Scott decided to prevent any federal employees from mentioning climate
change in any form of assessment that they submit to the state.
Florida banned the term climate change and now the state of Wisconsin is trying to scrub
it from all of their state-controlled websites.
Here's a little something for Scott Walker and the republican party to understand.
Just because you delete a few words off a website does not mean that the problem goes
away.
That's not how that works at all.
Not even close, not even a little bit.
You see, this year, we only have a few hours left really, is going to go down as the hottest
in recorded history.
The warmest in recorded history capping off 13 or 14 years of being the warmest in history.
See, we're breaking those records every year.
I guarantee you 2017 is going to warmer than 2016.
That's what analysts are already predicting.
The state of Wisconsin, state of Florida, and I guarantee you this is going to start
popping up everywhere else in between, they don't want anybody to know about climate change.
They still think that just by not saying it they can prevent people from wanting to take
action on it.
Which, by the way, probably one of the dumbest things you could ever imagine.
That's like saying kids are going to stop playing video games if we delete any mention
of video games from the websites.
Look, Wisconsin, again, controlled by the Coke Brothers.
I know Scott Walker's the guy in there signing bills, but he's doing the bidding of the Coke
Brothers.
He's doing the bidding of the American Legislative Exchange Council, ALEC.
Same thing with Rick Scott down in Florida.
Any other republican-controlled state where those two outside influences, the Coke Brothers
and ALEC have enough control, they're going to start doing this elsewhere, because they
understand that the growing threat of climate change is very real and that the united States
is going to have to act quickly and at this point, dramatically in order to help reduce
the effects of climate change.
This is their last ditch effort.
This is the last move that they have to prevent any kind of action against their industries
to prevent climate change, because that's what they know is going to happen.
They're just trying to put it off another year or two, or however many they can so they
can suck a little bit more oil out of our ground, a little bit more natural gas before
the government decides to finally crack down and get serious about addressing the growing
threat of climate change.
Again, be prepared for what's happening in Wisconsin to start happening elsewhere.
Again, Wisconsin's not the first place.
Our great state of Florida here started it.
Wisconsin's carrying it forward.
I would imagine we're going to see this maybe pop up again in Texas, perhaps Montana, Kentucky,
West Virginia.
It's the blueprint they always use.
If something works in one state you start to bring it to the others.
The Coke Brothers know it, ALEC knows it, the entire republican party knows it.
They can't continue to ignore the threat of climate change for much longer, because especially
down here in the state of Florida, in Miami where the waves are literally coming up over
the streets right now, climate change is slapping people in the face.
It's only a matter of time before the government decides to finally crack down on the Coke
Brothers in order to save what's left of this country.

And we have such a house at Christmas time in Germany – a gingerbread house –
and that's what I want to talk to you about today.

and today we are talking about treats at Christmas time in Germany. Have fun and enjoy your meal!
At Christmas time there are many treats in Germany.
I spent a year in America and when I was there, my host parents said to me,
"Marco, for you, holidays is almost always about food!"
And I think that has a lot to do with the fact, that there are many delicious sweets
at various holidays — on Christmas and at Easter, at least here in Germany.
A typical German delicacy, a typical German cake is the stollen.
The stollen is an longish cake; It almost looks like a loaf of bread.
There are raisins in it, sometimes marzipan is in it for people who like it
— but there are also stollen without marzipan.
The stollen is coated with powdered sugar. I think it tastes very, very delicious.
It's a bit strange to some people that the stollen are available in the supermarket very early
— already in October or September or something like that.
People look at that and think, "Come on, that's a Christmas treat!
Why is this already in the supermarket?"
But that's something we love to eat, we Germans, and it tastes so delicious.
Then — very typical for Germany is also the advent calendar, an advent calendar with chocolate.
You can buy this anywhere.
And that's just a calendar and it has quite a lot of door and if you open a door,
there is a small piece of chocolate in it. This chocolate often has a form –
of a fir tree, of Santa Claus or [there are] some other theme/scene.
Every day, when you wake up at Christmas time, then you get up, open your little door
and then you eat your chocolate. There are also other advent calendars.
Some people make an advent calendar themeselves for their relatives or friends
and there are then several smaller gifts included.
This is a good way to have anticipation and to already get some small gifts.
The waiting time sometimes seems like a very long time, until it's to finally time to hand out presents on December 24th.
And that's why an advent calendar is a good way,
to get a little taste of it,
either by getting a small piece of chocolate every day or a small gift.
A great candy that I like very much are ring-shaped chocolate pieces
and with these ring-shaped chocolate pieces you decorate your fir tree.
It is a ring out of chocolate
and you take a thread, insert it through this ring; you tie a knot above
and then you can hang this chocolate ring on the Christmas tree.
You hang the candy on the Christmas tree, then you eat this ring
by simply getting close to the Christmas tree with your mouth
bite off the ring from the thread and then eating the ring.
In my family it was always the case that one had to wait until December 24th
or until Christmas Eve, before being allowed to eat these rings.
Once the chocolate rings were then "approved"
we always were very excited/happy to eat these rings from the tree.
Finally there is the gingerbread house.
The gingerbread house you can either completely make yourself
or you can buy the gingerbread in the supermarket build the house from it
and adorn it with icing. The icing also acts as a kind of glue and with the frosting
you then stick Smarties or gummy bears or other candies to the gingerbread house.
I always had a lot of fun when building a gingerbread house
and when I build a gingerbread house, I always put a lot of candy on the gingerbread house!
I build my gingerbread houses often in a way so that no more space is available for more sweets.
I always do it in a way that everywhere is just candy.
On the whole roof of the house are sweets and also on the lawn in front of the house are sweets,
so it becomes a real "calorie bomb".
The "calorie bomb": It has a lot of calories; it makes you fat, but tastes very, very good.
There are not only gingerbread houses, but also gingerbread hearts.
You buy these at the Christmas market and they taste also very, very good.
To give someone a gingerbread heart is a beautiful expression of appreciation or love.
These were the typical German treats at Christmas time:
the stollen, the advent calendar with chocolate, chocolate rings,
the gingerbread house and the gingerbread heart.

We are at the number one spot of our top Canadian athletes
of 2016.
Before we get to that, let's recap what you missed.
Golfer Brooke Henderson won a major this year
and that put her at number five.
Paralympic swimmer Aurelie Rivard had three gold medals at this years Games
and she sits at number four.
Sid the kid?
He cracked the top three, while
Andre De Grasse was number two.
Which brings us to number one.
"Oleksiak has the gold medal!"
"Where will she touch?
Two nights, two medals!"
In December of 2016, Penny Oleksiak
failed her written test to get her learner's permit.
But that was the only bad thing that happened to her all year long --
and that is why she's our Canadian athlete of the year.
If you didn't know who Penny Oleksiak was at the Opening Ceremony of the Rio Olympics,
it didn't take you long to find out.
Day 1: She sets a new national record in the 100-metre butterfly heats
and anchors the 4x100 freestyle team
to a bronze medal.
Now for a 16-year old, that alone would have been a successful Olympics.
But she still had a lot in the tank.
Day 2: She broke the record she set the day before
on her way to winning silver in the 100-metre butterfly.
"Oleksiak going for the medal, going for silver.
Where will she touch?
Two nights, two medals!"
Oleksiak became the first Canadian ever to win a medal in each of the
first two days of the Olympic Games.
Next up, another relay,
another bronze. This time, in the four-by-two hundred.
Okay, how would she be able to top that?
Well, there was one colour left.
"She's got a silver, she's got two bronze...
Oleksiak has the gold medal!"
With that win she set a new Olympic record,
becoming the youngest Canadian ever to win
a gold medal and the first Canadian
to win four medals at the Summer Games.
She instantly became a household name in Canada.
She became more famous than her brother,

and capped it all off with being named flag bearer for the closing ceremony.
And probably wrote the best "What I Did on my Summer Vacation" essay in history.
And we can't forget, she beat out one of the best fields
ever to win the Lou Marsh Award
as Canada's top athlete of the year.
Considering the fact that she is only 16 years old,
I would say the future is pretty bright for Penny Oleksiak.
She can pretty much do whatever she wants.
Except, of course, get behind the wheel of a car.
