Youtube daily Dec 30 2016

Hi everyone.

In this lesson we're going to talk about typography and how to get fonts for your websites.

I'll also give you a few short advices for using fonts.

My first advice for using fonts is that you must keep number of fonts low because lots

of different fonts in the design can be a sign of clutter.

Then, my next advice is to avoid to use fancy fonts too much.

For me, better way is to pick up clean fonts and make variations of them with different

weights, styles and transformations, instead of picking a lot of fancy fonts.

If you want to pick fonts for your website you can go to Google fonts and explore thousands

of fonts by scrolling through.

But, there is better way to pick fonts.

You can go to other websites that points to great google fonts and pick fonts from choices

made by this resources.

There are lot of websites for this purpose, but I'll recommend you to visit site chad.is/beautiful-web-type

This is a directory of really beautiful Google fonts that are out there free to use.

This website give you examples of how certain google fonts look like on a real website.

For example, let's see, this is Merriweather font so you can find it on google fonts.

Did I misspelled something?

Merriweather is with 'i'.

Ok.

I found it.

So this google fonts looks on real website like this, and so on.

There are lot of examples of fonts on this site.

You can see them and pick some of them if you like.

That is 'PT Sans Narrow'.

This is 'PT Sans Narrow'.

And that's all in this video.

Thanks for watching.

South Florida hospital unveils new medical technology - Duration: 1:35.

TH STEPHANIE, WE WE

INTRODUCE YOU TO THE

REVOLUTIONARY MAGELLAN ROBOT

THAT IS BEING CALLED A GAME

CHANGER.

IT CAN BE USED FROM THE HEAD

TO THE TOE.

REPORTER JUST LIKE THE EXPLORER

THAT CIRCUMNAVIGATED THE GROWTH,

THE MAGELLAN ROBOT CAN TRAVEL

ANYWHERE IN OUR BODIES,

ACCESSING AREAS THAT HUMAN HANDS

CANNOT.

>> THE ROBOT ALLOWS YOU TO

SIMPLIFY COMPLEX PROCEDURES.

TRADITIONALLY WE WOULD USE WIRES

AND CATHETERS MANUALLY AND

ROTATE THEM WITH THE HANDS AND

THEN YOU HAVE HUMAN ERROR

INVOLVED, AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE

UNABLE TO GET THROUGH THE

BLOCKAGE OR NAVIGATE THROUGH

ANGULATED ANATOMY.

REPORTER: DR. JOSEPH RICOTTA

BROUGHT THIS ROBOTIC SYSTEM AND

HIS SURGERY SKILLS TO DELRAY

MEDICAL CENTER IN NOVEMBER.

IT ENABLES HIM TO PERFOR

COMPLEX ENDOVASCULAR PROCEDURE

WITH INCREDIBLE ACCURACY, SUCH

AS REMOVING A BLOCKAGE FROM A

LEG ARTERY OR AN ANEURISM IN THE

BRAIN.

IT'S ALSO MINIMALLY INVASIVE,

REQUIRING JUST A SMALL NEEDL

STICK IN A PATIENT'S GROIN AREA

TO INSERT THE CATHETER, WHICH IS

THEN MANIPULATED USING THE

ROBOT'S JOYSTICKS.

IT SOUNDS KIND OF LIKE SCI-FI.

DR, IT'S A LITTLE BIT.

--

>> IT'S A LITTLE BIT.

IT'S GOOD THAT I PLAY XBOX WITH

MY LITTLE KIDS, SO IT HELPS

KEEP UP WITH MY HAND-EYE

COORDINATION ON THE ROBOT.

REPORTER RICOTTA SAYS A ROBOTIC

PROCEDURE TAKES 60 TO 90 MINUTES

AND PATIENTS TYPICALLY WALK OUT

OF THE HOSPITAL THE SAME DAY.

DELRAY MEDICAL CENTER IS THE

FIRST HOSPITAL FROM THE

BROWARD-PALM BEACH COUNTY LINES
