This is your Poynt HQ mobile app.
It's a mirror of all of the capabilities of the Poynt HQ web experience but directly from
the palm of your hand.
You can download this app from the App store or from the Google Play store.
We'll start with Pulse where you can see at-a-glance transaction volume data separated into Daily,
Weekly, Monthly, or an All-Time summary.
Just below you'll find some key events and can keep quick tabs on the activity of your
Poynt Smart Terminals.
You can quickly scroll through the transactions performed on your Poynt Smart Terminal and
take an in-depth look into each.
The ones with the green checkmark are captured.
When you tap into it, you'll see the approval code, time of capture, and you also have the
ability to send a receipt via email to the customer after the transaction has completed.
There's one here with a blue checkmark which means that the payment has been authorized
but hasn't quite been captured.
This is for merchants who accept tips.
We'll adjust that later just before settling the batch.
The customers tab allows a quick peek at some customer data like their favorite items, how
many visits they've made, and their all-time spending.
The Settlements tab allows you to review the transactions in your open batch, adjust any
tips, and settle your batch.
Let's take a look at the transactions included in this open batch.
If your Smart Terminal accepts tips, be sure to check the "Pending Tips" tab and adjust
as necessary.
Once you're done, select Add to Batch.
Once you've reviewed your transaction, select Settle Open Batch.
You may review these later once the settlement is complete.
Note: While you may be able to settle batches on your device, if your processor employs
a generic settlement time, actual funding times may vary.
There are many other helpful tools waiting for you under More.
First, there's manual entry.
You may process a manual entry transaction from your Poynt HQ mobile app while you're
away from your terminal.
If you have a real card in hand, unlike me, you can even scan the card with your phone's
camera to quickly input the information.
Leave a quick note like over the phone order for Jenna so that you can check it out later.
Once you're done, select charge.
You can even send the customer an email from that same screen.
Additionally, from More, you can manage your Poynt Smart Terminals.
Here you can see the terminal's location, battery life, ping it, grab a screenshot from
the device, or change the background on either screen.
Here you'll also find access to your Poynt HQ business settings.
You can edit your Business information, set notifications preferences like "Let me know
when my terminal's battery is low", and customize the tip amounts that are prompted for your
customers.
You may also buy paper rolls directly from your Poynt HQ mobile app for your terminal's thermal printer.
