Marie Forleo YouTube Strategy (Use This For Your Business!) - Duration: 11:06.Sunny Lenarduzzi: Marie Forleo is the founder of one of the
most well-respected online training programs in the world, B school.
Oprah named her as a thought leader for the next generation, and Sir Richard Branson asked
her to mentor young entrepreneurs at his center for entrepreneurship.
A big key to her success is using YouTube to build a raving tribe of customers and fans,
which has led to a online multimillion-dollar digital empire.
How can you do the same?
I'm going to break down Marie's strategy in this episode.
Make sure you subscribe and hit that bell for new videos like this every week.
Welcome to The Sunny Show, for the bright side of being your own boss, and building
your own life.
Hey boss.
I'm Sunny Lenarduzzi.
When I first started my business, I'm sure you've done the same, I found myself endlessly
searching YouTube for help, inspiration, and just some solid entrepreneurial advice.
Then I found Marie Forleo.
Boasting half a million YouTube subscribers and a multimillion-dollar business, Marie
generously shares her years of experience in entrepreneurship, and really valuable guidance
with so many people on this platform, and has become a virtual mentor to so many, including
me.
How did Marie start building her empire?
Well, one of Marie's favorite quotes is, everything is figureoutable.
(video) Our entire culture has been transformed by people who believe and behave live everything
is figureoutable.
Think about the Wright Brothers.
If they hadn't believed human flight was possible, they wouldn't and couldn't have spent even
one minute trying to figure it out.
I've done a little digging, and I've figured out how Marie Forleo started building her
community, and really started building her business at a very rapid pace using YouTube.
I'm going to break it down so you can follow the same steps.
Before we get started, I want you to comment below this video with Marie, if you've ever
watched a Marie Forleo video, or if you discovered Marie Forleo on YouTube.
Because I can guarantee you, this is proof that a lot of us became a part of her tribe
because of YouTube.
Step one, and the most crucial part of really anybody's YouTube strategy is action.
It's really easy to look at Marie Forleo's videos, and Marie TV, which is an award-winning
web show, and say, "Well, it's easy for Marie to grow this big audience because her set
is beautiful, she has amazing clothes, and she's got a whole crew behind her."
But, Marie, just like myself and a lot of YouTubers out there, started with very humble
beginnings.
I want us to take a look back at Marie's first YouTube video, actually from seven years ago.
(video) Hey.
It's Marie here.
Guess what?
Today it's time for some Q&A.
A couch, no mic, no professional lights, just an action-taking entrepreneur who put herself
out there, and decided to generously share her genius and her knowledge with her community
members.
Which has gained her tons of traction by being picked up in search on YouTube, and being
discovered by brand new audience almost every single day.
Step one is just take action.
Step number two is creating content driven by your community.
As you can see by Marie's very first video, she's always focused on questions from her
audience, and she's always focused on FAQs, Frequently Asked Questions.
If you've ever heard me talk about creating YouTube content that gains momentum, you know
that I always say you want to start with Frequently Asked Questions.
Because the whole purpose of YouTube is that, like I said, it's a search engine.
Your community members and your potential customers, and an audience that still hasn't
discovered you is waiting for you to show up, to answer their questions and solve their
problems.
The best place to start is to start writing a list of frequently asked questions, or paying
attention to social media and questions that are coming through there, and answering them
via YouTube.
I want to show you something really interesting that you can use to grow your own channel.
Take a look at this.
First video she posted, Bringing Back the Fun, 20,000 views.
Not bad at all.
But think about it this way.
Do you think anybody on YouTube who is Marie's ideal customer is actually searching for Bringing
Back the Fun?
No.
They're probably not.
She really gained these views from her subscriber base and her current audience that she already
had.
When she really started to gain momentum is when she started to title her videos in a
way that was searchable.
There were things that her ideal audience was actually looking up, so she was being
discovered by new people every single day through YouTube.
She started with this one, How To Live In the Moment.
That's something that her audience would be searching for.
It has 133,000 views in comparison to 28,000 views on this video right here.
Let's continue to take a look at this.
58,000 views on How To Stand Out From the Crowd.
If you keep going down, some of her most popular videos are videos that her audience would
actually be searching for, they're titles that her audience would be searching for.
She started to really gain momentum on her channel, and you will start to really gain
momentum on your channel when you start to title your videos and create videos on topics
that your audience is actually searching for and looking for.
This is how you get picked up in search on YouTube.
Again, you attract and are discovered by new people every single day, which builds your
brand, and builds your business at a really crazy, crazy, fast, rate.
Coincidence?
I think not.
I actually would love for you right now below this video to comment with one FAQ, one Frequently
Asked Question that you could make a video on, that you're asked all the time by your
ideal customers.
Step number three is so vital to your success as an entrepreneur on YouTube.
It's getting people off of YouTube.
It's having a clear call to action.
I discovered Marie Forleo on YouTube.
But the reason that I've been following her for so long, and I actually did enroll in
B School years and years and years ago, is because I went from finding her on YouTube,
and then at the end of the video she asked, "Go to the website and sign up for the newsletter,"
or, "Go and comment on this blog."
She has different ways of capturing you to become part of her community to further nurture
the relationship, and become the only go-to expert that you see or hear from in building
a business and a life that you love.
By doing that, she's taking these people that first discover her on YouTube, and not letting
them forget about her.
She's further nurturing the community and the relationship.
As I always say, your tribe is your trust find.
You want to make sure that anybody who comes into contact with you online becomes part
of your tribe.
How does Marie capture her viewers and turn them into potential customers and community
members?
Well, she starts by saying, "Go download this off of my website," or, "Go sign up for my
newsletter," or, "Go to the website," and you'll become pixeled or re-marketed to.
Because she has a pixel on her website that she can then use Facebook ads to re-market
to you, or even YouTube or google ads to re-market to you on different platforms.
You're constantly seeing her messages, and again, she becomes the only authority and
person that you want to work with.
Then of course, the final way to capture your audience and turn them into customers is by
directly selling.
But what Marie has done, and what is so brilliant, and has been a big part of my strategy as
well, is providing valuable information first, and showing up when your audience needs you
most.
When my audience is searching for answers on how to get more views on YouTube, or how
to grow your Instagram following, they find me, they connect with me, and they feel like
they know me.
Then they become part of the community.
Then all I need to do and all Marie needs to do is create a relevant offer.
For Marie, all of her content is focused on building a business and a life you love.
What does she offer as her paid product?
B School, which is about creating a business and a life that you love and on your own terms.
That is why YouTube is such a magical thing.
You provide value first, you meet your customers when they're in a certain pain point and they
need help, you provide help, you provide value, make a difference in their lives, and then
you become the person that they want to work with.
Because they feel like you have been there for them since day one without any strings
attached.
The final step of Marie Forleo's YouTube strategy, and how she's grown such a great engaged audience
is collaborations.
The really cool thing about this is if you go way back on Marie's channel, you'll see
that some of her first collabs were with people at the time that were on the same level as
her, and weren't maybe known on a massive scale.
For example, Kris Carr and Marie Forleo had been doing collabs since Marie started her
channel because they were friends.
Now they both built their empires together.
That is something that's so doable and so possible on YouTube.
I know it's really tempting to say, "I want to get the biggest names in the world on my
channel."
But start with Marie's strategy.
Which is just inviting friends or people you know in your network who have valuable information
to share with your audience.
You can build your audiences and your empires together, and have those people on as continued
guests.
What's happened with Marie is because she started where she was, and she started with
people she knew.
She's built her audience to a place where now she's had Tony Robbins, and Simon Sinek,
and Timothy Ferriss, and the biggest names in the world.
The list goes on.
Start with who you know, and how much value they bring to the table, and build from there
through collaboration.
Marie Forleo has obviously leveraged YouTube to build an empire, but more importantly,
she's used it to impact thousands, if not millions of lives around the world.
If you're ready to do the same, make sure that you download my boss YouTube channel
checklist below this video.
It's 14 steps that you need to set up your channel for success, and like a boss, like
Marie Forleo.
Make sure you grab that.

What are you doing here?
- Forgot your manners, son?
- No, sorry.
Come on in.
- Your brother told me something that was quite disturbing.
He has it in his head that you don't think
that you are Sigma Mu material.
Why in the world would you tell him that?
- I didn't.
- All Richardson men,
your great-grandad, your grandfather,
your brother and myself.
All proud men of Sigma Mu Kappa.
- I understand.
I'll try.
- Try?
Only the inadequate try.
Son, this is your legacy.
Start behaving accordingly.
- Looks like your pops is on one today, bro.
That's probably every day though.
- Do you even care about how you messed me up?
- If it was true then, yeah.
I guess I would care, G.
- Because of what you did,
now I gotta figure out how to get in a frat

Or else my life, my life won't be much of one.

Get Out — A New Perspective in Horror - Duration: 13:23.Hi, I'm Michael.
This is Lessons from the Screenplay.
When we go to see a horror film, we usually have some idea of what to expect.
The common tropes and cliches have been so well-documented
they're even referenced in horror films themselves.
"You should never say 'who's there?'"
"Don't you watch scary movies? It's a death wish."
But the horror films that stick with us
are often the ones that provide a unique twist
on the characters' perspective of the horror.
Like a slasher film told through the eyes of teenagers on the night of Halloween.
Or a monster film following "truck drivers in space,"
where escape is nearly impossible and no one can hear you scream.
Or a found footage film, told through the point of view of documentary filmmakers.
And with each of these different perspectives comes new ways of telling the story.
Get Out follows in this tradition, providing an unfamiliar perspective on the horror.
But in this case, it's not some exotic setting or a filmmaking gimmick.
It's simply that the protagonist is black.
Taking inspiration from the 1967 classic, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"—
in which a white woman takes her black fiancé to meet her parents—Jordan Peele said:
"...one of the reasons that film, I think was so effective
in its discussion with race is that it started with a situation that was universal.
Take the race out of it,
everybody can relate to the fear of meeting your potential in-laws for the first time.
So, at some point I had a revelation that that was also the way to get into this film."
Beginning with a situation that is universal
ensures that an audience comes into a story
with a certain amount of personal experience and empathy.
But, it's the specifics of the characters put into a situation
that make a story interesting.
And what impresses me most about "Get Out"
is how Jordan Peele uses the specifics of the protagonist
to unlock new storytelling techniques.
So today I want to look at the film's unique method of building tension…
To see how it takes advantage of its premise to set-up a surprising twist...
And examine the way it creates a feeling of isolation while subverting a horror trope.
Let's take a look at "Get Out."
Most horror films are built on tension.
The characters are put into a situation where they're in harm's way,
and we know it's only a matter of time before the danger gets to them.
But in "Get Out," the dangerous situation isn't some alien planet or a spooky house...
it's a weekend in the country with rich white people.
CHRIS: "You said I'm the first black guy you'd ever dated."
ROSE: "Yeah, so what?"
CHRIS: "Yeah, so this is uncharted territory for them."
CHRIS: "I don't want to get chased off the lawn with a shotgun."
There have been plenty of films where a suburban neighborhood is the victim of horror,
but rarely is it ever the source.
So as Chris and Rose arrive at her parents place,
the audience is already unsure of what to expect.
Our biggest worry is that Chris might actually get chased off the lawn with a shotgun.
But we quickly see that won't be the case—
"You call me Dean and you hug me, my man!"
—as rather than make Rose's parents obviously disapproving of Chris,
Jordan Peele decides to build tension in a more subtle way.
"By the way, I would have voted for Obama for a third term if I could."
"Best president in my lifetime, hands down."
While they're clearly trying to be welcoming,
the parents do have moments that are a bit—as Jordan Peele says—"racially clumsy."
"So how long has been going on?"
"This thang."
Nothing major and with no clear malice intended, but enough to provide some basic tension.
"Cause with your frame and your genetic makeup,
if you really pushed your body, you'd be a beast."
However, as we see more moments of the family and their friends reacting to Chris's blackness—
"Oh."
Woman: "Not bad!"
—tension continues to build.
"Jeremy."
In this way, real-life racial tensions are used to help build the suspense,
making the unease we feel more layered and complex.
"There he is!"
But in many ways, the more overtly disturbing characters
are the few black people Chris does encounter.
When he reaches out to try to make a connection with them,
the interactions are off-putting.
"She is lovely isn't she?"
"Rose?"
"Yeah, she is."
"One of a kind; top of the line.
A real doggone keeper."
"Right."
Some are particularly unsettling.
"Oh, no, no, no, no no no no no no."
"Aren't you something?"
This method of building tension is effective partially because
we've never seen it used in a horror film this way.
"Get out."
And it's unlocked simply because of the specifics of the protagonist and his situation.
But this is not the only technique made available because of the specifics of the protagonist.
Throughout the script, Jordan Peele utilizes a unique way of establishing trust.
Chris's fear going into the weekend
is that Rose's parents will react negatively to their relationship,
operating from a place of ignorance.
But once he gets there,
he instead sees there are moments where they're actually aware of the potential concerns
he may have.
"Come on, I get it."
"White family; black servants.
It's a total cliche."
"I wasn't going to take it there."
"Well, you didn't have to, believe me."
This awareness assuages some of Chris's fears,
and makes us feel like maybe we can trust them.
The same technique is used during the party scene.
After interacting with a number of guests who seem obsessed with Chris's blackness—
"I do know Tiger."
—he encounters Jim, the art dealer—
JIM: "Ignorance…"
—who seems to actually be aware of people's behavior and the dynamics at play.
"They mean well but they have no idea what real people go through."
Once again, this makes us feel like we can trust him.
As Jordan Peele says…
"He is an apparent ally to Chris."
"He understands that people focusing on race and color…"
"there's an ignorance to them."
And when we see that this trust has been misplaced,
it makes the reveal during auction scene that much more compelling.
But the best example of using awareness to establish trust
is with the Rose character.
Originally, Jordan Peele was going to tell the audience early on
that she was involved in the family's plot.
But then, as he says:
"And at some I realized, wait a second—
If you could pull some Keyser Söze shit,
why would you not pull some Keyser Söze shit?
So at that point it's like—okay!
We're going to take this up one notch,
if I can do the impossible and I can hide the fact that this woman who is
literally bringing him into harm's way—if I can hide the fact that she's in on it,
then I'll have a really great revelation."
When we meet Chris and Rose, it's immediately clear they're in love.
But the thing that really helps us trust—or at least want to trust Rose—
is how much she empathizes with Chris's experience.
Throughout the film Rose is acutely aware of how people,
including her family, are treating Chris differently.
The scene where this is conveyed most explicitly
is after the awkward dinner their first night at her parents' place.
"What is his problem?"
"He has never treated any of my boyfriends that way."
"Ever, ever, ever."
"Mmm hmm."
"Oh my god, and them my dad with the 'my man' stuff."
"'My man! My man!'"
"I don't think he's ever heard that, or said it, and now it's just all he says."
Jordan Peele says of this scene:
"I was sort of adding this idea of Rose's continued wokeness because...
the fact that she's more turnt-up about this than he is...
The audience I think subconsciously presumes that if she was in on it,
she wouldn't be whilin out like this.
Chris has to bring her back down to earth.
So I think she wins our trust in this scene as well as his.
Once again, this is a storytelling mechanism that is only unlocked
because of the specificity of the protagonist and the situation he's in.
But taking it a step further, because this story is so unfamiliar—
a black protagonist in a horror film who ends up trapped by a white family
set on stealing the bodies of African Americans—
there are even meta-level elements at play that aid in hiding Rose's true intentions.
"I knew in my heart that anybody who is seeing a movie in a wide release in America
would have to think:
'there's no way Universal Studios would
allow the one good white person in this film to also be evil.
There's no way they would do that!'"
But they did.
"You know I can't give you the keys, right babe?"
And the result is a twisted reveal about the true nature of Rose
that underscores her psychopathic nature.
"You were one of my favorites."
In this final act of the film, when it seems like all hope is lost,
we might find ourselves wishing there was someone—anyone—
to come save our protagonist.
But here Jordan Peele subverts a horror trope by reversing our desire for help to arrive.
A cabin in the woods, outer space, a secluded house in the country—
all great ways to make sure your characters can't run away easily.
"The nearest house is across the lake."
"It's total privacy."
But part of what makes a character feel isolated
is knowing that there is no one around to save them.
Such is the case for Chris, as there is no one nearby he can call for help...
not even the last hope of most characters in horror films.
"I am two seconds away from calling the police!"
During the sequence toward the beginning of the film,
when Chris and Rose are driving to her parents place, they hit a deer—
They call the police, who respond to the situation.
But the focus soon changes from the deer to Chris.
Officer: "Sir, can I see your license please?"
Rose: "Wait, why?"
"Yeah, I have state I.D."
"No, no, no. He wasn't driving."
"I didn't ask who was driving, I asked to see his I.D."
We see that the mere presence of Chris in this area makes this officer suspicious.
This suggests that if local law enforcement get involved at any point in the story,
it's probably not going to go Chris's way.
So as the story progresses and Chris's situation gets worse,
instead of wanting the police to come help—
"I'm calling the police!"
(phone rings) "Ahh!"
—there are moments when we realize their arrival
would be the last thing we want to happen.
So of course it does, at the worst possible moment.
As Chris, covered in blood, kneels over a dying Rose...
"Siren lights flash on the side of their heads."
"The scene doesn't look good."
"Chris turns towards them raising his hands."
"Rose smiles again and pleads with the approaching officers."
Rose: "Help me!"
Without a word being spoken, we know the implications of this situation.
Which is what makes the reveal of Rod so cathartic.
"Chris!"
Once again, the specificity of the protagonist and his situation are taken advantage of,
as the film subverts a horror trope and provides yet another fun surprise.
"I mean, I told you not to go into that house."
Good films are able to find fresh ways of telling their stories;
surprising us, while simultaneously giving us exactly what we want.
And as old storytelling techniques become familiar and uninspiring,
the stories we tell and the ways we tell them have to evolve.
Over the last few years,
it's become clear that audiences are eager for new perspectives.
Get Out brings a new perspective to a classic genre.
It demonstrates the value in mining the unique elements of a narrative
for new ways of telling a story.
And reveals that the struggles of a specific protagonist can resonate universally,
as we can all empathize with a situation where you simply need to get out.

GS4 Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Auto-tuning tutorial - Duration: 3:34.When you are running a GS4 Drive in Sensorless Vector mode, it's a really good idea to
run the Drive's built-in Auto Tune on the connected motor so you get the absolute best
performance out of your GS4 drive which at the end of the day, saves you money in operating
cost.
Auto tune measures the actual stator resistance and no load current and puts them in these
parameters – if you have motor 1 auto tune parameters selected.
There is second set of auto tune parameters where you can save and use data for a second
motor.
You could enter them manually from the vendors datasheet if you want to, but auto tune is
so quick and easy, it's best to let the drive measure what it actually sees.
Before starting auto-Tune, disconnect the motor from any load.
Normally, you would even remove the pulley, I am going to leave it on for this demo so
it's easier for you to see the motor spinning.
If you can't separate the motor from the load, then check out the Static Auto tune
section later in this video.
Make sure the drive and motor are wired correctly and work as expected.
Looks good.
Double check that these parameters are set to the numbers shown on the motor face plate.
Motor Output Voltage – yep.
Rated Current – Yep.
Base Frequency – yep.
Rate RPM – yep.
Horse power – yep.
And Number of poles … Great!
We disconnected the load, Verified the Wiring, and check the parameters.
One more thing – this is important – please make sure you have an e-stop connected.
You are about to tell the drive to run the motor and you need a way to shut it down if
things don't go as expected.
The best way to do that is to use the Drive's built in STO function.
Click on this information banner to see a short video on how to do that.
I have this drive setup to run when I press the keypad button, when it is in local mode
so … To start the auto tune process, just set parameter
0.05 to a 1, then press ENTER, then press RUN …in a few seconds the shaft will start
spinning and you will see a flashing auto tune message.
If you have to stop the motor during the process, you will get an error.
Just reset the error and start over again.
You can view error status in the usual error parameters ….
Looks like Auto Tune has finished.
Let's go see what it measured.
Parameter 0.06 is the stator resistance – looks reasonable.
And parameter 0.07 is the no load current - which is what the nameplate says it should
be.
Perfect.
Your drive is now auto tuned and ready to operate at its best possible efficiency.
If you couldn't decouple the motor from its load, then you can still do a static auto
tune.
It just measures the stator resistance.
You have to enter the No Load current from the motors name plate or data sheet before
you run the test.
And to run the static test, just enter a 2 in parameter 0.05 instead of the 1 we did
a minute ago.
All the other steps are just like we did a minute ago.
Since the autotuned results are just parameters, if you reset the drive parameters to factory
default, the auto tune parameters will be reset.
So be sure to re-tune the drive after you do a factory reset of the drive parameters.

GS4 Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Factor Reset - Duration: 2:34.There are four things you can reset in a GS4 Drive.
The Drive Parameters, the Drive's built in PLC, the kWh display and the optional communications
cards.
Before resetting the Drive or the PLC, make sure the PLC is DISABLED.
You don't want it trying to control the drive while resetting the drive and you can't
reset the PLC while it is active.
You will see the PLC status here on the main screen if it is enabled.
If it is, go to the main menu, item 4 and select disable and press enter.
The PLC can't be in either RUN or STOP mode to be reset.
It has to be disabled entirely.
To reset the drive, go to parameter 9.08 and enter a 9 to reset to 50 hertz or 10 to reset
to 60 hertz.
Before I hit ENTER, a word of caution: If you created a password in parameter 8.07,
then you will have to enter it in parameter 8.06 to be able to reset the Drive's Parameters.
If I press ENTER, I see an END which tells me all of the drives parameters were reset
to factory default.
If the reset didn't work, you will get an error message on the screen.
For most parameter entry operations it's easy to miss that because they are both three
letters and they both begin with the letter E. So, watch that closely when you are entering
parameters.
Fortunately, for the Reset operation, it's hard to miss because the display also frantically
flashes at you until you press the STOP button to clear the error.
To reset the PLC, again make sure the PLC is NOT enabled.
Then go to parameter 9.08 and select item 6.
Again, if you see the END then the PLC is now reset.
Setting Parameter 8.0 to a 41, will show the Kilowatt hours used by the drive in the user
portion of the display.
I can reset that by going to parameter 9.08 and entering a 5.
To reset the communications cards, go to parameter 9.63 and enter a 1.
This will reset the IP Addressing that was copied to the card from the Drive's P9 parameters.
The Drive's P9 commands will still be in the drive, so you can simply copy them back
to the Communications card after you reset itusing parameter 9.64 and entering a 2.

First Time With the Bond Arms Derringer .410 / .45 Colt - Duration: 3:53.so we're out here at the range today in the freezing cold because we got this
new Derringer. It's a super-sweet little gun as you can see it's smaller than my
hand this one here shoots .45 Long Colt and .410 and I think it's is really cool
because it has a little safety here that you can put in so you can see the hammer
doesn't go all the way back down and then we also have a little release over
here. You spin that and this whole thing flips open so that we can load it and
then we just flip it back over close the barrels. And we're gonna lock it closed
right there. It's locked closed. I'm going to try shooting it with my gloves on
because it's super cold. There's no trigger guard here so I'm going to make
sure. It's a really long trigger pull. I'm not worried about misfire but we
also have a really long pull to cock the hammer. This is my first time ever
shooting it so who knows what's gonna happen. -- All the way back. That's the safety
right there. That little button popped out when I pulled it back and so now I'm
gonna try to get a good solid grip on it and shoot down at these HD targets.
WHOO! That wasn't too bad. All the way back there so that's a really hard trigger
pull but once you actually depress it it just goes like that like super fast.
Pretty interesting little shooter. .45 long Colts pretty fun. Next we're gonna
use a man stopper round. This is a Hornady Critical Defense .410 and I'm
gonna load those up lock it down.
Nice! That actually blew a hole in the target. Let's try the second one.
So, I had a request to shoot a .45 Long Colt again and try it single-handed and
we'll see how I do with the safety on that and if I keep my thumb out of the
way and how I hold the gun. Let's get two hands to cock it. I took my glove off just
because I want to be able to hold on to it, not that the gloves are slick because
they do have grip on them too but I feel more confident without it even though it's
cold so we'll try this out
not too bad
