Have you ever been afraid of something since childhood
Always wondered why?
Or visited a place for the first time and feel like you've been there before?
Or maybe you have unusual birthmarks on your body
And never thought much about it?
Or those times when you just met someone
But seems to already know everything about them
All these and more on today's episode of Edge of Wonder
Welcome to Edge of Wonder
I am your host Ben,
And I'm Rob
Since pretty much when we first started this channel
we have been getting so many requests for this one on reincarnation
We have been putting it off
because we didn't want to be the same as what everyone else is doing,
you know throw up a photo of this famous actor from the 1800's who looks like Keanu Reeves.
Speaking of which, I did meet him one day, but that is a different story.
So we could do a whole series on this
because there's so much information
and there is a family that we know whose child remembers a lot of cool stuff…
But she is being a little bit shy so we will keep working on her.
But for this episode we will do this in two parts
one on stories of reincarnation and then one about the history of it in religions
Which will actually blow your mind
So if you are not sure about if reincarnation exists,
then wait to you hear these stories that could have you think in all new ways.
These stories we are sharing are all documented and seem very real.
The story of the incense maker
So one way to see what we might have reincarnated from
is to see what children are interested in
or what they like to do or what they are exceptionally good at.
This can really be a very clear sign.
For example would you know how to make incense without actually learning that process?
Well at a very young age, Purnima from Sri Lanka already could describe the process for manufacturing incense,
which baffled her family
since none of them had any knowledge about incense or were in the business of selling it.
Soon she started to give more details
and told her family that she was a male incense manufacturer by the name of Jinadasa,
and get this, he was struck by a bus and killed years before she was born.
She was even able to provide details on the location of the man's house
and the exact manner in which she was run over by the bus and died.
Now her family didn't know what to think about all of this
until she started talking about Jinadasa's family,
who lived hundreds of miles away.
When Purnima finally met the man's family for the first time,
she recognized all of them,
and even called one of Jinadasa's sisters,
"her younger sister," despite Purnima being younger than her.
The girl also bore birthmarks on the left side of her chest,
in the same spot where Jinadasa had his fatal injuries.
Now on a side many people say that birthmarks are from where they died in their previous life.
Yea there are a lot of stories and research all about this
we will get into it later as we continue on.
But back to the story.
Purnima said "when I saw the family, I realized that rebirth was something real,"
this is according to Real Stories media.
The Nazi airman who died twice
Since the age of 3, Carl Edon had spoken of a previous life as a Nazi airman.
His parents didn't believe he was truly remembering a past life,
but decades later evidence emerged that made them wonder.
Edon was a railway worker in the town of Middlesbrough, northeastern England.
Unfortunately, he met with a tragic end in this life as well as in his alleged past life.
At the age of 22, he was stabbed to death by his work colleague, Gary Vinter.
When Edon was a child, he had visions of being shot down in his Nazi aircraft.
In 1997, two years after Edon was murdered,
a Dornier airplane was unearthed only a few hundred yards from the site of Edon's death.
In 2002, local newspaper The Gazette reported that a local historian had found a photo
of the Nazi airman Heinrich Richter
who crashed and died in that Dornier.
Now the weird thing is that Richter and Edon were strikingly similar in appearance.
This isn't the only odd thing.
The airman's leg had been severed in the crash
and a birthmark was visible on Edon's leg just where it would have been severed in his purported past life,
again showing that the birthmark theory seems very real.
So Richter had been following the rail line when he was killed,
just as Edon had been,
though for different purposes.
Edon's mother, Val, began to wonder whether her son was actually reincarnated as he'd told her.
She told the Gazette: "There are just too many strange coincidences,
and I think if Carl was here he'd be saying 'Do you believe me now'?"
Cuz he was dead at that point.
Exactly
Gone with the Wind
Lee was 2.5 years old, when he started talking about his "other mommy."
When he was 3.5, he started becoming upset
because he couldn't go to his "other house," to get back to work.
This of course would confuse any parent
and but it didn't just stop there.
Soon Lee started to say that his middle name was Coe,
though it wasn't,
and that his birthday was June 26, though it was actually June 21.
He said he had a daughter named Jennifer
I mean this kid is only 3.5 years old
and soon young Lee started to developed an obsession with Hollywood,
because that's where he said he lived.
Wondering if he was really talking about his past life,
his parents asked him what he did in Hollywood.
He told them that he was busy making movies.
They asked if he acted, and he said he didn't, he said he wrote movies.
They started to name off some movies,
and about the 5th one in they named "Gone With the Wind."
Lee said "Yes, that was my movie. I wrote that movie,"
so his family instantly looked up
And was like "gone with the wind"
So they looked up "Gone With the Wind" on the Internet to see who wrote the screenplay
and asked Lee what age he died.
He said 48.
When Lee's parents pulled up all the information online
they were completely at a loss for words.
Not only was the writer's middle name was Coe,
Sidney Coe Howard, he died at 48,
the birthday he had was on June 26,
and he had a daughter by the name of Jennifer, just as Lee said.
Dr. Jim Tucker, a prominent reincarnation researcher at the University of Virginia,
investigated this story
and even wrote it in his book "Return to Life: Extraordinary Cases of Children Who Remember Past Lives."
He has gathered thousands of cases of children
who report memories of past lives
and in many cases, these memories have been verified.
Boy Remembers Wife and Killer of Past Life, Finds Them Again
Now what would you do if you remembered your wife and your killer from a previous life?
Would you take revenge?
Well that is exactly what our next story is about.
On May 9, 1958, in the village of Hatun Köy, Turkey,
Selim Fesli was found dead in a field.
He had been shot in the face and right ear.
His neighbor, Isa Dirbekli, admitted he shot and killed Fesli,
but he said it was by accident, that he was hunting at the time.
In the neighboring village of Sarkonak,
Mrs. Karanfil Tutusmus, was pregnant.
She had a dream in which a man who identified himself as Selim Fesli appeared though he had a bloody face.
As soon as the little boy could talk he insisted that his parents call him Selim Fesli
instead of his given name.
He said he was the reincarnation of Fesli,
and he remembered the names of people from Fesli's life as well as many details from his life,
which were later verified by Fesli's widow.
When the boy was 4 years old, he walked to Fesli's home
and told Fesli's widow, "I am Selim, you are my wife Katibe."
He remembered intimate details of their life together
and the names of their children.
He visited her often, still treating Katibe as his wife
and even Fesli's grown children as his children.
The boy claimed that Dirbekli had intentionally killed him
over a dispute about Fesli's mule grazing in Dirbekli's field.
Dirbekli maintained it was an accident however,
the boy would throw stones at Dirbekli whenever he saw him.
But as he got a bit older he stopped taking violent revenge on him.
Thankfully.
3 year olds can be dangerous.
German therapist Trutz Hardo told this story in his book "Children Who Have Lived Before: Reincarnation Today."
He recounts the story witnessed by the late Dr. Ian Stevenson,
who was a leading researcher at the University of Virginia School of Medicine
on the topic of reincarnation.
Reborn
This is the coolest story
As twins
So this one is very interesting and probably my favorite story.
In 1957 twins Joanna and Jacqueline Pollack were walking together to church
when they were hit by an oncoming car
and were both killed.
Devastated, their parents carried on but wanted nothing more than to have them back.
Their father, John, declared that soon they will have a set of girls.
But of course no one believed them.
Then to everyone's surprise, Florence, their mother, was pregnant again,
and not with only 1 child but 2 girls.
John also kept insisting that their girls would reincarnate
even though Florence was of course very skeptical.
However, after they were born they already noticed similarities.
Jennifer had a white line across her forehead in the exact same spot that Jacqueline had a scar.
The other interesting thing is that she had the same birthmark that Jacqueline had.
The parents increasingly grew more and more convinced
their current daughters were their first daughters.
The family moved when the twins were only babies
and went back to their hometown after they were about 4.
Jennifer and Gillian were able to point out landmarks that Jacqueline and Joanna had been familiar with
and even the school that they had formerly attended.
The girls were also able to correctly name all of the dolls and stuffed animals
that belonged to them in their former life.
Their parents never shared any information with them,
they wanted to see if they were their former daughters or not.
The biggest thing out of all of this was their recurring nightmare about being hit by a car.
When they would see a car coming at them from traffic,
they would yell, "The car is coming to get us!"
From this point on their parents were full convinced
their daughters Gillian and Jennifer were Joanna and Jacqueline.
As the twins grew older they slowly forgot about their previous lives
and couldn't remember much after that.
Famous people remember their past lives
I'm waiting for the part where we get Sylvester Stallone
So the first is Phil Collins
Did you guys know the famous singer Phil Collins remembers his past life during the Battle of the Alamo?
You mean to say "Remembers the Alamo?"
oh my goodness Ben, king of grandpa jokes,
that was so bad.
Well believe it or not ,he does have one of the largest collections of artifacts and documents related to the 1836 battle
where James Bowie, William Travis, and the famed Davy Crockett fell to Mexican invaders.
I wonder if he was Davy Crockett?
So the real interesting thing is during his childhood
he would play with toy soldiers while reenacting the famous battle at the Alamo,
and had an inexplicable urge to burn them.
Weird.
Well I would burn my GI joe guys too, which wasn't that weird at all.
I guess so, I did too
Strap a magnifying glass so I would
Or strap firecracker on it Throw it
At a neighbor, just kidding
But it wasn't till years later that Collin's found out
that the Mexican General ordered the bodies of the defenders to be cremated.
You guys wanna hear something that's kind of cool?
Collins actually has photographs of the Alamo that has glowing orbs in it.
So the next one is Sylvester Stallone
Aside from playing his alter ego Rocky Balboa,
Sylvester Stallone said that he has a strong affinity with the wolf
and that he lost his head in the French Revolution.
I mean literally lost his head.
In a 1982 interview with people magazine, he said
"I'd been reading about the Jacobins [the political radicals of the French Revolution] and that period,
and when somebody at a party said how awful it must be to be guillotined,
I found myself saying, 'Oh no, it doesn't hurt.
You don't feel anything—except your head hits the basket…and that's it.'
My friend said, 'You're ill, Stallone.'
Perhaps, but I truly felt I knew what I was talking about.
Right. That's enough quoting
Sylvester in that accent.
That's pretty good.
When Stallone was asked would like to come back as
he said "Without question I'd want to be the heavyweight champion of the world."
Isn't that cute
The next is Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon Bonaparte is famous for conquering much of Europe in the early 19th century.
He visualized himself as an heir of the Roman emperors,
and even imitated the mannerisms of an emperor.
However, Napoleon had a deep fascination with King Charlemagne,
who was king from 768-800 AD and he is considered the "Father of Europe",
and even on his coronation he had his crown look similar to what Charlemagne had worn.
He also had Charlemagne's exact sword used at the ceremony.
However, this doesn't seem to be an ordinary fascination,
Napoleon also regarded himself as the reincarnation of Charlemagne.
In 1809, Napoleon told the papal representatives that in a previous life he was Charlemagne.
George S. Patton
So we already covered him on our third eye episode,
if you haven't seen it, make sure you check it out,
but one person who seems to remember more of his past lives and with great detail than most people,
General George S. Patton,
who was the great General during World War II.
He wrote a book of poems titled "Through a Glass, Darkly,"
where he describes many of his past lives and how he fought in all of them
with first fighting alongside Alexander the Great at the Siege of Tyre.
He then writes about another incarnation when he slayed Parthians with his Gladius,
a sword approximately 25-32 inches long
and then he said he was a Viking warrior on his way to Valhalla.
Then his next life he was a French knight fighting the English under Edward III,
most notably at Crecy.
And then Patton said he was then was a Scottish Highlander during the third English Civil War,
supporting the Stuarts after the death of Charles I.
In one of his last visions he had he was Joachim Murat
who was one of Napoleon's marshals
and one of the most capable cavalry officers
and leaders in service to the French Emperor.
And of course there is a whole theory out there that he is now reincarnated as….Yes
president Trump
They do kind of look alike.
They do, flash that
So anyway what do you guys think?
These were some really amazing stories, right?
there were so many more but we will have to end it here.
So Ben what do you think?
Actually I never believed too much in past lives,
it wasn't kind of until recently where I started to kind of having an idea
where I thought I might actually know some of mine are
Wow I think this might actually exists.
the very first books I ever checked at the library
I was at second grade
was the lost city of Atlantis and about the Bermuda Triangle.
So I always believed that I had a past life during the time pf the Atlantis
What about you?
I definitely absolutely think the reincarnation exists,
I think there is a reason for all of that right.
There's too many people that remember their past lives,
and the feeling of Deja Vu,
when you come across a place you've been to before is so striking
that it's hard to deny that something like that exists.
I remember being in Hawaii at the Hawaiian airport
and feeling like I've been there before.
It was like nothing I felt like before, not like that.
Yeah, actually when we went to South Korea,
I've never been there before.
I was walking around in this place, I was like, I've been here before.
Wow
I just knew where things were,
so for me it definitely exists,
which is why we wanted to do these episodes.
But we will go way more into the history
and all kinds of cool and fascinating things.
You guys are probably wondering why reincarnation exists.
We're gonna go into that next so stay tuned,
and also don't forget to hit like and subscribe,
and hit the notifications bell for more great episodes.
Right and until then we will see you out…
on the edge… of the past
Or the future
Or the present
Or where we are dorks
