(dramatic music)

- Seven AM,

in the morning,

Junior technician Robert Benchler Sr arrives for work

at the largest power plant on the Eastern seaboard.

He sits at his desk.

It's a usual morning for Benchler.

But something very unusual is about to happen.

Disaster.

He quickly discovers the plant is minutes away

from a catastrophic explosion.

Almost simultaneously he hears a warning chime

from his cell phone.

Five percent battery.

Benchler needs to use his phone

to confirm his dinner reservations for that evening

and important dinner with a woman he needs to sleep with.

Without his phone he is doomed.

It looks like a meltdown is just seconds away,

make that two meltdowns, a nuclear one

and a personal one.

Benchler's phone goes black, his face goes white,

his underwear goes brown.

What will happen next to the power plant?

To the eastern sea board?

To his dinner plans?

To his sex?

The answer is fascinating.

(adventurous music)

The sun, the waves, the wind,

even the sun drenched people,

everything here moves, flows, changes.

Everything here is powered by something,

a force so invisible, it is unseen to the naked eye.

This cosmic masseuse pushes and pulls the very fabric

of the universe,

kneading out any knots and wrinkles, inspi-

(dramatic music)

Energy is a camouflage force that controls everything

we've ever known.

And everything we shall never have not known.

Energy is essentially invisible.

It cannot be seen.

But it can often be felt.

Sometimes be smelled.

And occasionally be tasted.

Energy appears in many forms and it can be transformed

into many different shapes,

much like a ball of clay or stripper.

Electricity,

water,

food,

radioactivity,

rodeo activity,

roller coasters,

gravity,

immigrants,

and the sun,

each of these is an example of something

that can not only kill a person,

but can also power one.

And energy has been doing both of those things to man,

since the dawn of civilization.

And for centuries man has investigated every corner

of his planet to find ways to harness the power

of it's energy.

This quest began long ago in the ancient world,

in a time before tables.

The ancient Greeks worshiped powerful Roman gods

like Medusa and Caesar.

And these gods manifested their awesome energy

in the form of lightning.

None more powerful than Je-zeus.

The Roman Greek god of holding lightning.

And man, in his quest to become powerful

like the gods he worshiped, would often try to capture

this lightning for himself.

- We now know that early man would stand

on a mountian top during thunder storms

mouth open wide in an attempt to eat the lightning

that they believed the gods were feeding them.

They thought this would work.

Of course many times it didn't work and the results

were death or embarrassment

or one followed by the other.

- People have this theory that I you walk outside

you might just randomly get struck by lightning

but the thing is, it's not as random as you might think.

It takes a very magnetic kind of being

to pull the light from the sky

and that's what's actually going on.

- [Ted] And in early cultures these magnetic people

who could pull lightning from the sky

became known as wizards and witches.

And then it was during the Renaissance

that English Medieval scientists began the practice

of tying these wizards and witches,

often the most attractive or magnetic women in each village,

to a post in the center of town to attract lightning.

And this led to many women being quote,

burned at the stake.

- Well if you shine a light on a magnet

the magnet would be magnetized and so when you stick it

on a refrigerator, the refrigerator would light up.

- But these human magnets when struck by lightning

would not light up a refrigerator but instead

an entire town square for up

to three or four hours per witch

and while this practice did provide some energy

and warmth for local municipalities,

it was still not enough.

The result was only a small amount of usable energy

and a large amount of dead witches and wizards.

But then a man named Benjamin Jefferson Franklin

came along and changed everything.

Before becoming the seventh President of the United States,

Jefferson Franklin was elected US Ambassador to China.

On a trip to that nation's capital, Tokyo City,

Jefferson Franklin bought himself a kite.

The kite was a new device that the Chinese president,

Ghengis Khan had recently invented as a way to hunt birds.

Jefferson Franklin brought his kite back to America

and then one summer night after a long day

of working on a new draft of the USS Constitution

Jefferson Franklin decided to hunt some birds

with his kite and his child assistant.

But then something curious happened,

a thunderstorm erupted and suddenly a bolt of lightning

struck his kite, the force of which cracked his glasses

and in that moment Franklin not only invented bifocals,

he also invented something we call: electricity.

And this sparked a revolution.

Soon kites flew over every house in the colonies.

For the first time people could use electricity

to power their homes.

Of course it was limited.

It would power the house but the only problem was

that it only worked for a short time.

Still the world was changed forever.

In fact today we still use kites to get electricity.

Giant kites which float in space high above the Earth.

We call these giant kites, satellites

and they draw their energy from the very same lightning

that Jefferson Franklin first harnessed

with his small Chinese kite.

How do these satellites work?

Well the satellite uses giant magnets

each as attractive as 10 medieval witches

to attract lightning from the constant storms

that are happening in the space wind above the Earth.

But instead of illuminating a simple town square,

the satellites beam the energy down

to a receiver on the ground and the energy

from the lightning is distributed

to power needy home everywhere.

Once we had discovered that lightning could provide us

with so much energy, it didn't take long to crack

the mystery of the greatest source of lightning,

something called: the sun.

The sun, which is the planet located at the center

of our solar system, is similar to Earth

but it is much larger and it is always on fire.

And this fire is caused by constant lightning strikes

that cover its surface.

As a result it is very bright and very powerful.

- If you look into the sun for one, two minutes

your eyes will magnify that light

and the back of your brain will catch fire.

- [Ted] This sun energy that could potentially burn

a human brain is the same energy that constantly seeps

into the Earth and could potentially cause the planet

to explode some day.

And what do we call this potential energy?

Potential energy.

- The difference between kinetic and potential energy

is that kinetic energy can be likened to a belly dancer.

I once was approached by this belly dancer

at an anniversary party it was part of a Greek themed thing

years ago and she just had this look in her eyes,

sort of the undulations of her movements was very

sort of drew me in I guess and I felt like

she was dancing just for me really,

even though it was a huge room.

And uh,

potentially energy I guess, its more like my energy

where I was, thinking about all the possibilities

the potentials that could exist with this women

if things were different, you know, it wasn't to be.

- And so we would attempt to unleash

the Earth's awesome potential energy,

coaxing the precious stored lightning

out of this flirtatious illuminated belly dancer.

This is where the story gets fascinating.

(explodes)

Next time on Our Fascinating Planet:

- Of course we knew reflection is when light bounces off

a surface, refraction is when light is bent

by passing through a medium of differing density.

Then there's reflaction which isn't a word

but is of course fun to say,

like most things in science we've come up with the word

and are waiting to discover if there is a phenomenon

to fulfill it.

Kellyanne Conway Hit For Hatch Act Violations…AGAIN - Duration: 3:35.

Kellyanne Conway, the Counselor to the President of the United States, whatever that means,

but that's her title, has once again found herself in trouble because Citizens for Responsibility

and Ethics in Washington, CREW, has filed yet another Hatch Act violation complaint

against Kellyanne.

You see, Kellyanne Conway, according to this latest complaint, just can't stop using her

official capacity as Counselor to the President to promote the Republican party and to promote

individual candidates running for office, which is the same thing she is doing with

her official Twitter account.

And according to the Hatch Act, all of that is impermissible.

You cannot do it, and yet Kellyanne has repeatedly done it.

She's actually been doing it since she first came to office.

So far, all of the complaints that CREW has filed against Kellyanne Conway have resulted

in disciplinary action against Kellyanne Conway.

Unfortunately, none of that disciplinary action has been removing her from office.

Most of it is that she actually just has to sit for ethics retraining because she can't

seem to get it right.

That's probably what's going to happen in this particular instance.

So just a little more on what she's been doing, she's been going on TV, she has identified

Counselor to the President, she is pushing the MAGA brand and the Make America Great

Again slogan.

All of those have actually been expressly forbidden by the Office of Special Counsel

at the White House because if a White House official goes out and says those things, it

is a violation of the Hatch Act because that is expressing your support for a political

candidate/party, and you cannot do that in your position.

Kellyanne has obviously been doing that, she does it every time she goes on Fox News.

And it's not just about promoting MAGA, it's promoting other Republicans or attacking Democrats.

She's not allowed to do it, yet the network shows, CNN and Fox News and ABC, continue

to have her on their programs where they let her violate these ethics rules.

What I would like to see just one time when she comes out and says one of these things

is I would love to see a host say, "Hold up, Kellyanne, what you just did is a violation

of the Hatch Act.

You're violating ethics laws right here on live television, why should we believe anything

you say when you have no regard for the rules or for ethics in general?"

That is what these TV hosts need to be saying to her, and I've seen some of them be pretty

tough on her.

Some of them attempt to hold her accountable, but until you call her out for violating the

law, none of the other hard lines of questioning that you throw at her are going to matter.

Stop putting her on TV, stop letting her say whatever the hell she wants with her alternative

facts, because the real issue isn't just the alternative facts, apparently now we also

have to deal with Kellyanne Conway's alternative ethics.

And believe me, it's not sitting too well with the Office of Special Counsel that has

to continuously sit her down and tell her what the law says and how many times she's

broken it.

How to Crochet the Lorrie Bag - Easy Elegant Purse Tote Handbag by Naztazia - Duration: 4:04.

Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com Today I'll show you how to crochet the

Lorrie bag. To do this I'm using two balls of Bernat Maker, and a size I hook.

I'm holding two strands of yarn together throughout to make this bag sturdy. To

begin start with a 24-inch long tail end for later sewing then make a slip knot.

And chain 46. Skip the first chain and make one single crochet in each chain

across. At the end chain one and turn.

Working in the back loops only make one single crochet in each stitch across.

Continue making single crochet stitches in the back loops only for a total of 31

rows. After you have completed this, pivot your work and fold the handbag in half

like this. The rows will form vertical up and down lines in the bag. With that 24-

inch beginning tail end begin sewing together the one side. You can use any

stitch you want. I just like to weave my needle in and out of the stitches like

this. It's almost like I am lacing up an item. Once you have completed sewing

the seam on the first side, move on to the next side. Leave 24 inches on this end

and cut your yarn. Then fasten off the yarn with the crochet hook. With your

yarn needle sew this other side together. Once completed this is what your bag

should look like thus far. I like using magnetic snaps to close my

bag. I like to connect both of them together first before I do this next

part. From the inside, push the one side of the snap through the front of the bag

like this. Place the washer that came with it on like this. Using pliers, bend

down both sides. This holds the snap in place. Then push the prongs of the other

snap through the other side like this. Place the washer on. Then use pliers to

bend down the sides. This makes for a nice secure closure. This bag is pretty

thick and doesn't really need a lining. However craft felt makes a wonderful

lining for a handbag. Place the craft lining inside of the bag and sew the

lining to the bag using sewing thread and a sewing needle. To make a nice

finish on the bag I like to place a slipknot on my hook. I like to make one

single crochet evenly along the top edge of the handbag. You can make as many rows

as you wish. My sample has three rows of single crochet stitches with all rows

done under both loops as opposed to just the back loops. And then I like to sew on

a button on both sides of the handbag to cover up the metal snap hardware. Sew the

handles on using yarn and a yarn needle. And you are done! And that's how I make

my Lorrie bag. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel. Like and comment on this

video. And please visit my website at naztazia.com

Ski Mask the Slump God: BEST Verses - Duration: 7:01.

Hey guys, CDTVProductions here, and today in Best Verses we will be looking at Ski Mask

the Slump God, who seems to be gearing up for another album release soon.

As you know, Ski Mask has a ridiculous amount of solid and enjoyable verses, so it's very

likely that we'd all have very different lists for this type of video.

Keep in mind there is verses I love that didn't make the cut because I tried my best to narrow

it down to my absolute favourites.

So let's not waste any time, this is CDTV and let's look at Ski Mask's Best Verses.

Where's the Blow (Verse 1):

This is an incredibly short verse, but I couldn't not have it here.

This was the very first verse I heard and loved from Ski, so I can credit it with really

putting me on to his music.

Those little 3 line bursts he flows in sounds so goddamn catchy and it not only makes the

verse really good, but makes the song as a whole pretty replayable.

Apparently he's working on a part 2 to this song, and if that also features the current

day, improved version of Lil Pump, I'm pretty excited for that.

SPACEGHOSTP**** (Verse 6):

Now everyone else on this track had a verse dissing SpaceGhostPurpp.

Everyone except Ski Mask.

This was because Ski recorded his verse before everyone else decided it would be a diss track,

and they chose to leave his verse as it was.

Now it speaks volumes to how nice this verse sounds that I can look past it not fitting

into the song topically at all, because usually that would bother me.

But he spits over this beat so perfectly that it's not even something I really think about,

he kills it here.

He also crams in a lot of references and similes into his short verse, and it gives the song

a light hearted ending after the intensity of the previous verses.

Costa Rica (Verse 1):

This is one of the few songs where I think Ronny J actually does a pretty great job vocally,

it really suits the track here and he comes in with a catchy chorus as well.

However if I'm being honest, the main reason I listen to this song is the Ski Mask verse

that opens up this track.

It's a really cool juxtaposition to see Ski's vibrant personality placed over a

beat that sounds as ominous as Ronny J beats tend to be.

This darker sound doesn't stop him from employing his normal mannerisms though, and

his verse adds a whole bunch of liveliness and replay value to the song.

Worldwide (Verse 1):

This track was essentially the second part to Catch Me Outside, a song which I think

is alright, but this is easily the better one out of the two for me personally.

A lot of it comes from the instrumental, I just prefer the sample that's used on this

one, but on top of that Ski's verse is just so entertaining.

Everything from his ad libs to the delivery is so animated that it makes for one of the

most compelling songs on the original version of the Book Of Eli.

Like A Soccer Mom (Verse 1):

If there's one thing that this song made me realise, it's that there's not many

people out there that sound as good rapping when the beat drops out as Ski Mask the Slump

God.

He constantly raps accapella for short bursts here and it sounds so goddamn smooth, he just

has such a dynamic voice and flow.

Also, beats like this are my favourite to hear Ski rap over, It samples the Codename

Kid's Next Door theme song, and Ski is always at his best when rapping over theme song samples.

Dr. Eggman (Verse 1):

Now this was a collaboration between Ski Mask and Keith Ape, and they both rap circles around

this hard hitting Ronny J production.

Now Keith Ape switches between languages on his verse, so I can't understand all of

that one, but I can definitely understand everything Ski is saying, again just hitting

us with a different reference, metaphor or simile with every single line on this one.

It's actually impressive how creative he can be with his lyrics.

On top of that we have some great flow switches here, with Ski never settling on one cadence

for too long.

This is easily my most replayed Ski Mask track of the past few months.

Flo Rida (Verse 3):

This is undoubtedly one of Ski Mask's best guest verses, with him rapping alongside The

Higher Brothers on this one.

It's great because rather than starting at a fast pace, this song slowly creeps up

to it, starting off with quite a sinister sound as Ski slowly raps over the eerie production.

Then as soon as the drums kick back in, Ski takes it as his cue to go off and instantly

ramps the pace up, and he doesn't slow down until his verse and the song as a whole abruptly

ends.

Now i still have no clue what this line means, is it literally because water is involved

in the process of photosynthesis, is it as simple as that?

I don't know, but regardless of that very minor confusion, the verse itself is very

solid.

SLMD Remix (Verse 2):

Here Ski took the beat from the song Stuntin Like My Daddy by Lil Wayne and Birdman, remixed

it, and absolutely murdered the beat.

Not only is this verse one of my favourites from Ski, but this is easily a top 10 Ski

Mask song overall.

Some of the tongue twisters that he manages to rap at a breakneck speed here really are

impressive.

It also has this line where Ski says "till I make a million not taking my durag off",

which shows how far he's come since then because according to some websites he has

a net worth of a million now.

I mean, one of these websites also said one of his most popular songs was called Catch

Me Inside, so take it with a pinch of salt.

But it's not unreasonable to assume he's definitely made that million now.
