PPS/ERP - controlled elevator manufacturing with automated punch and laser machines and a punch/shear and bend line
When individual parts or assemblies are to be produced in variable sizes in order quantities of one upwards,
then the qualities of WiCAM PN 4000 come into play.
It allows modern elevator manufacturers to automate their production processes.
These processes are typicaly based on a PPS/ERP system,
such as SAP, Baan, Navision, or a proprietary development
which covers all the production materials and steps.
The necessary data such as CAD files, revisions, dates, variants and runtimes
are often verified and calculated long before the actual production run in a PN4000 simulation run.
The PPS/ERP system uses this information for planning, precalculation and material ordering. Purposes.
On the day of production, the data is transferred to PN4000,
which automatically creates the necessary control files for the storage systems and CNC machines.
In a matter of seconds, the entire production chain for complex assemblies is created,
e.g. Lift cages, doors, frames or shaft linings -
from the raw material to the finished edge - and each component is unique.
Express orders and missing parts can always be flexibly manufactured at the same time as planned orders.
Through the status messages of the machines, PN4000 and the PPS / ERP system always know the current real-time status of the individual components.
As a result, the work preparation team can concentrate on the detailed planning and on process optimization.
The open structure and the many interfaces in PN4000 accommodate any customer request,
such as the integration of proprietary software or individual database queries for controlling or production purposes.
As WiCAM is an independent software developer, a variety of production technologies, automation components and manufacturers can be combined as desired.
This forms the basis for the innovations of the future.
The advantages of WiCAM: PPS/ERP-controlled programming and production Automatic simulation run for planning, precalculation and material ordering Automatic feedback of production status and pre-production Fully automated programming from order quantity 'one' upwards Use of different technologies and manufacturers
Controllable machines: Amada, Bystronic, Prima Power, Salvagnini, Trumpf, and many more
Previously implemented CAD interfaces: SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, and many more
PPS interfaces realized so far: SAP, BAAN, Infor, Navision, and many more
