tLEG (The League of Extraordinary Gamers) - Halo: Combat Evolved Retro Night ViDoc - Duration: 5:30.

JORDAN: Pieces of art that redefine a genre and the artist the create them are truly rare.

Beethoven, music composition;

Frank Gary, architecture;

Andy Warhol, modern art;

Bungie Studios and Halo.

Since 2001, the Halo universe has captivated gamers across the world through the marriage

of unique memorable characters...

"For a brick, he threw pretty good!"

JORDAN: An unstoppable fanatic alien force...

"The great journey waits for no one, brother."

JORDAN: And relationships forged across space and time.

MASTER CHIEF: It was my job to take care of you.

CORTANA: We were supposed to take care of each other.

And we did.

GARRETT: Halo means a lot to me.

I've spent most of my life playing the Halo games and after all this time, I still just

completely find myself entranced by the Halo universe.

I mean, the characters in the game, the relationships,

the lore, both in the games and in the extended universe.

Hey on the side, on the side.

During the dawn of Xbox LIVE, I didn't have internet, so I resorted to System Link for

the majority of my multiplayer.

It's just amazing to see how the idea of getting together at somebody's house has evolved into

the vast world of eSports.

GABE: Most of the time, you don't think of the game you grew up with as an eSport.

You just play the game, and that experience will be your point of view of the game.

For some, Halo is a deeply emotional story.

And for other people, Halo is a social gathering.

Now before Halo: Combat Evolved, the only way to play together on console was splitscreen,

but with Halo, it was the first time that the idea of connected systems became a streamlined

concept in the form of System Link.

GARRETT: eSports are exciting and I wanted to emulate that as much as possible, so I

created tLEG as my platform to do that.

In the past, we had a group that was dedicated strickly to Halo and that group served as

inspiration to create tLEG.

So in a lot of ways, Halo is a precursor to tLEG.

GUNNAR: The Halo multiplayer has spawned communities across the world,

including one that I started during Halo: Reach.

This group connected people from across North America and helped form lasting friendships.

GABE: Gaming is often tied to memories of playing with friends.

That nostaliga is what inspired us to create Retro Night.

Retro Night is a monthly event where we journey back to those old games

and play them in a tournament setting.

It started back in November 2016 and we're progressing to large scale the Retro Night events.

Somehow, we knew that we would be doing a Halo Retro Night eventually, it was just a

question of how.

How can we be able to make this the event that Halo deserves.

But now it's finally come to furition and it's gonna happen on Sunday, June 4th.

Histories for reflexion. The happiness is near. - Duration: 3:14.

Welcome to Elocuencia.org - Your channel of culture and entertainment.

Sometimes happiness is so near than you think. You just have to spend more attention.

There was a man walking on the beach, thinking how bad life was treating him.

Inside he felt that he wasn't having been lucky ...

while he walked about thinking of his misfortune, he tripped over a small bag of stones.

He grabs it with his hand and continues his walk along the shore.

"I wish I had a new car," she whispered as she furiously threw one of the stones she'd found in the bag.

"I'd love to have another job and make more money," he said, throwing another stone.

"How happy it would be if I could have a bigger house, with a garden where I could play with my little dog," and throwing another pebble continued with his complaints.

So he continued with his walk complaining and throwing those stones into the water.

The man, catching the last of the stones, looked at her surprised to realize that it was not a common rock but a DIAMOND.

At that moment he realized that he has been throwing to the sea dozens of enormous and precious diamonds.

This story is just a metaphor for life.

Many times it happens that immersed in our desires we are not able to appreciate the opportunities that appear before our eyes.

We are obsessed with what we do not have and we wish possess, we are wasting away without realizing how many good things we have in life.

It is as important to have goals and desires as to appreciate all the good we have around us.

Very near to us can be appears the happiness and each of our days can be considered a precious and irreplaceable diamond.

DON'T WASTE IT!
