Now you and I are the only thing standing between that ugly bastard...

...and a city of 10 million people.

Now we have a choice here. We either sit and wait...

...or we take these flare guns and do something really stupid.

- How's your arm? - Ah, just give me the gun.

Hey, you!

I think we just pissed it off!

All right, Mako.

Get ready, this is for real!

- Yeah! - Come on, Gipsy!

Kick his ass!

Come on!

Let's do this! Together!

Elbow rocket!

Elbow rocket...

...engaged.

Now!

Hang on, Mako!

Plasma cannon, now!

Plasma cannon engaged.

Empty the clip!

Empty the clip!

Wait.

I think this guy's dead.

But let's check for a pulse.

Okay.

No pulse.

Did You Know: The Clone Wars Season 3 - Easter Eggs, Inspirations, Trivia, and More! - Duration: 10:46.

Did you know?

The season three premiere episode, Clone Cadets, is a prequel to the popular season one episode

Rookies that explained the origins of the nicknames used by Hevy, Droidbait, Echo, Cutup,

and Fives.

The design of the clone training armor was inspired by old battered leather football

gear.

The citadel challenge ordered by Commander Colt is version THX variable 1138.

This is a not even remotely subtle reference to George Lucas's first film.

The designs for the clone barracks were created in concept art for Episode II, but they were

never seen until this episode.

The character Bric was based on the Brainiac alien from the Mos Eisley Cantina.

Where Clone Cadets was a prequel to Rookies, the second episode of the season, ARC Troopers,

is a sequel.

This episode shows us the first time General Grievous has met Asajj Ventress fact to face.

The design of the aiwhas dates back to Ralph McQuarrie's concept art for the Empire Strikes

Back, when the creatures were meant to fly through the clouds of Bespin.

Although Anakin and General Grievous are both on Kamino in this episode, they never cross

paths, as Revenge of the Sith makes it clear they have never met until that moment.

The episode Supply Lines is yet another prequel, this time it precedes the very first season

one episode ambush, and explains what convinced King Katuunko to meet with Yoda.

The full name of Jedi Master Di is Ima Gun Di.

As in I'm gonna die.

Because he does.

At this point in the war Lott Dodd claims the Trade Federation is neutral, despite Nute

Gunray's open support of the Separatists.

The Tantive IV from A New Hope makes a confirmed appearance this episode.

Chairman Papanoida in Sphere of Influence is based on George Lucas's cameo appearance

in Revenge of the Sith.

Papanoida's daughters are likewise based on Lucas's daughters Katie and Amanda.

And Papanoida's son is based on Lucas's son Jett.

This episode also gives us our first look at Pantora.

Embo and Sugi can both be seen in Jabba the Hutt's palace.

This episode teaches us that Rodians have green blood.

In the episode Corruption, the pharaoh-looking aliens are called Moogans.

Mandalore's cubist design influences continue into their food, some of which is shaped like

cubes.

In The Academy, the Mandalorian prison guards have a crest on their shoulder that reads

"In Defense of Mandalore" in a Mandalorian language that was developed for the Slave

I display screens in Attack of the Clones.

According to the written Aurebesh, the steep graph behind Ahsoka here represents the growing

corruption-related crimes on Mandalore.

The park that was attacked by Death Watch in season two is seen again, still damaged.

Master Jedi is the formal and proper way to address a Jedi of any rank by a non-Jedi.

Even a Padawan.

In the episode Assassin, the dark strip of makeup on Aurra Sing's face is meant to

be an homage to the makeup worn by Daryl Hannah in Blade Runner.

The visions that Ahsoka has feature the same distortion effect as Anakin's visions in

the films.

The helmets worn by the Alderaanian guards have the same tear-drop shape later seen worn

by Rebel Alliance troopers on the Tantive IV.

In Evil Plans, the torture droid working for Cad Bane is based on 8D8, the smelting droid

seen in Jabba's palace.

C-3PO mentions that he used to be a protocol droid for the chief negotiator in the Manakron

system.

This supports the fact that has since been confirmed by Lucasfilm that Anakin did not

build Threepio from scratch, but rather rebuilt him.

Threepio is meant to be over one hundred years old by the time of A New Hope.

The baker droid is voiced by Duff Goldman from the show Ace of Cakes.

Nuna drumsticks are the most commonly served food in The Clone Wars.

The character of Quinlan Vos in the episode Hunt for Zero started as a random background

extra in The Phantom Menace.

Dark Horse then began using the character design in their comics.

George Lucas liked the character so much that he included a line about him in Revenge of

the Sith.

One of the inspirations for Mama the Hutt was Pearl, the enormous vampire from the film

Blade.

The dance number in this episode was inspired by the opening scene of Indiana Jones and

the Temple of Doom.

Marlo the Hutt doesn't actually have hair, it's a small creature called a Sha'rellian

toop.

The episode Heroes on Both Sides is the first time Ahsoka's upgraded character model is

used.

Anakin also received an updated design.

Lott Dodd says Coruscant has not been directly attacked in over a thousand years, which coincides

with a chronology that had the last war between the Sith and Jedi around that time as well.

The ship that Padme and Ahsoka take to Raxus is a Gozanti freighter, which would continue

to be used by the Empire in Star Wars Rebels.

Coruscant's power generators are on level 5000.

As in they are 5000 levels down from the surface of Coruscant.

In Pursuit of Peace, Chata Hyoki is a Selkath, a species that was first introduced in the

now Legends game Knights of the Old Republic.

This episode confirms that most of Padme's crazy hairdos are premade into their headdresses.

In the episode Nightsisters, Asajj's initial costume is a direct recreation of the clothes

she wore in her very first concept art and expanded universe appearances.

The entire concept of Dathomir and the Nightsisters originally appeared in Legends materials.

Mother Talzin's look is derived from concept art for Episode I, before Darth Maul was defined

as the principal villain.

Asajj's ship originally appeared in the animated Clone Wars micro-series.

This episode marks the debut of Obi-Wan's new character model.

The tactical droid quotes a famous Battlestar Galactica acknowledgment, "By your command."

In the episode Monster, Dooku mentions helping Mother Talzin a long time ago, presumably

when he was still a Jedi.

Talzin offers Dooku a drink of blackroot, which is a beverage from Willow that will

quote put hair on your chest.

Darth Maul's markings are not exclusively meant to signify a Sith, but are instead the

markings of a warrior.

Savage's armor was based on Roman armor.

According to concept art, the tip of Savage's spear can be fired as a projectile.

The episode Witches of the Mist brings the Republic Commandos of Omega Squad into the

canon.

The Jedi are confirmed to know Darth Maul by name, which they would have learned from

the Neimoidians they arrested at the end of The Phantom Menace.

When Dooku bests Savage in a duel, he holds the lightsabers the same way Anakin does in

Revenge of the Sith.

The episode Overlords begins the Mortis trilogy of episodes.

The creators have purposely left how much of these episodes is real or not up for fan

debate.

So the answers all depend on your certain point of view.

The Mortis monolith is over five kilometers tall, wide, and deep.

Liam Neeson returned to voice Qui-Gon Jinn for this episode.

Pernilla August also returned to voice Shmi Skywalker.

And Sam Witwer, the voice of Galen Marek, Palpatine, and Darth Maul, provided the voice

for the Son.

In the Altar of Mortis, the Son's cathedral is an homage to the tower of Orthanc from

The Lord of the Rings.

I'd say it also looks like Barad-Dur.

But Orthanc was ruled over by Saruman, who was played by Christopher Lee, who also played

Count Dooku in Episodes II and III.

In Ghosts of Mortis, the Jedi jumpspeeders were based off concept art for the speeder

bikes in Return of the Jedi.

The design for the Well of the Dark Side was also taken from Return of the Jedi concept

art for the subterranean levels of the Imperial Palace.

Darth Revan and Darth Bane were originally meant to appear as visions in this episode,

but the sequence was scrapped.

Hidden in the constellations of the Father's monastery is a wolf, the favorite animal of

Dave Filoni.

In the episode The Citadel, Osi Sobeck is a Phindian, and alien species that originated

in the Expanded Universe.

The tactical droid K2-B4 was designed after the LA Lakers and Kobe Bryant.

He sports the Lakers' colors and the K and B in his name stands for Kobe Bryant and the

2 and 4 combine to make Bryant's number, 24.

Jedi Master Even Piell made his first appearance in The Phantom Menace.

Because of his short height and long ears, many fans originally thought he was related

to Yoda in some way, but he is a separate species called Lannik.

In the episode Counterattack, Lola Sayu's lava was shown as bright yellow and more sulfuric

to distinguish it from Mustafar.

Considering the smell of sulfur, the animators had Tarkin and Anakin hold their noses.

The episode Citadel Rescue calls back to Clone Cadets, as the Citadel combat scenario seen

during the clone training sessions was named after the Citadel in this trilogy of episodes.

In the original script, Tarkin was meant to have shot Osi Sobeck in the back, causing

the Jedi to further question his honor.

Saesee Tiin refers to the Old Republic.

When anyone mentions the Old Republic, they are referring to the government that predates

the modern Galactic Republic, which was founded about one thousand years prior to the Clone

Wars.

The cage the anoobas are kept in was visually inspired the the velociraptor cages in Jurassic

Park.

The episode Padawan Lost was inspired by the short story The Most Dangerous Game by richard

Connell about man hunting man.

The big game hunting aspect of Trandoshan culture, as well as the species' name, was

originally created in a 1989 roleplaying game book.

In the season finale, Wookiee Hunt, Chewbacca claims his home world is very close.

As originally set up by the Expanded Universe, Kashyyyk and Trandosha are in the same system.

The Trandoshan trophy room contains the helmet of a Mandalorian Neo Crusader as well as the

crystal skull from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Pathetic Police Work Puts Two Innocent Men In Prison for Thirty Years - Duration: 1:02.

Finally tonight, two brothers are finally receiving their long-awaited justice.

Half-brothers, Leon Brown and Henry McCollum were locked up for over three decades after

being convicted of raping and murdering an 11-year-old girl in 1983 in North Carolina.

They were released in 2014 after DNA evidence showed another man had committed the crime.

They received a full pardon and received $750,000 dollars each from the state for their troubles.

But considering these innocent men lost three decades of their lives, this amount of money

doesn't come close to what they deserve.

Brown now suffers from mental health issues, ranging from hallucinations to depression

as a result of spending his entire adult life behind bars.

As such, the brothers have reached a civil settlement for an undisclosed sum with the

investigators who put them in prison.

Of course this settlement will never replace 30 years of freedom, but will hopefully grant

Brown and McCollum a small degree of solace and ease some of their unimaginable suffering.
