Top Tips for Job Interviews in English (...and what NOT to do!) - Duration: 32:13.

Hi everyone my name is Amy and I'm from

realenglishconversations.com and i'm

here with Greg from onlinelanguage

academy.com and what are we going to

talk about today Greg? we're going to

talk about advice for doing interviews

in English yep and things that you

should not do in your interview if you

really really like to get a job which we

know many of you are studying English

for that reason to finally get a job at

an english-speaking company and really

use this skill that you've been working

really really hard on to try to improve

so the reason why I'm talking to Greg

about this is he has well why don't you

explain your website Greg what do you do?

so I run online language academy.

com it's a company that offers

one-to-one classes via Skype with native

English teachers so the teachers are all

around the world students are all around

the world and we help those students

reach a high level of spoken English and

yeah I often ask well always ask the

students at the beginning what is your

reason for learning English and almost

always it is for work for getting a

better job or you know for doing an

interview in English so it's it's really

important this first step in getting

an interview and doing an interview in

English it's a really really important

thing for many of our students it's the

whole goal and for you you're such a

great person to talk to about this

because you've hired so many different

teachers in the time or your website

to do these conversation lessons which

means you've done a lot of interviews

absolutely yeah when I was a kid I wish

I had the opportunity to interview so

many people because it really is the

best way to give you an idea of what you

should do in an interview and what you

absolutely should not do in the interview so

I have

lot of good and bad experiences from

these past seven years alright so why

don't we start with the first things

that you see before you even approach

the person to do an interview because of

course to get an interview is the first

step before you actually even have one

yeah so what are a few of the mistakes

that you see over and over and over

again that you think you can give some

advice to help some people to not do

yeah I mean I think when people when

many people apply for a job via email

they don't realize that the person

reading that is going to receive maybe a

hundred or more applications for the

same job okay and that they don't have

all week to read every single one so

every detail exactly as amazing is it

may be yeah yeah I'm sure you love your

CV but believe me the interviewer is not

going to be able to read every detail of

every CV before they decide who to give

an interview to so so you've got to

stand out okay you've got to stand out

you've got to be unique and if I'm

reading 10 CV's in a minute why am I

going to look at yours okay if it's a

simple word document which is just ugly

text I'm not going to really enjoy

reading it but if it's a an elegant

creative CV done with you know lots of

visuals I know some people use

illustrator which is fantastic they

the CV created with illustrator

stand out so so much and I guarantee you I

will read every detail on that CV so

that's really interesting because now

that we're in a digital era of time I

like I think of when I used to apply for

jobs it was a piece of paper and I

walked around to different businesses

but now you know you have an opportunity

to really impress or

take it up a step because of

Technology and like you said illustrator

makes it a little bit more interactive is

it interactive? I don't know about it it's

just a lot more visual so instead of

saying for example I speak English

English French Spanish and Italian they

would create like a almost like a graph

where English would be up here and it

would say native Spanish would be up

here bilingual French would be up here

you know advanced and Italian would be a

little bit down here and there would be the

colors of the flags of those countries

oh that's cool it's yeah it's just a lot

more visually pleasing to look at that

than to read the same old text in black

and white Spanish into advanced you

know this intermediate Blah Blah Blah

it just makes it a lot more interesting

and it also gives you the idea that hey

this is a creative person no matter what

they're doing they're creative and they care

about the job that they're applying for

so it's it's great and you can I think

you can add links to them and as you said

we're in a digital era now and the

person reading it is going to be

connected to the Internet and just with

one click on a certain part of your CV

if it's a PDF you know you can click to

the applicants website which could be just

a simple about dot me website which

could be you know a photo and some just you

know one page introduction to you but it

just makes you different and stand out

that's right and have you had anybody

that's been attaching a video as part of

their application? or how common is that

now? since this academic year I

actually demand that all applicants send

a video, yeah? wow! yeah this does basically I

mean I used to get a hundred sometimes

even two hundred applications

for one job posting that I put oh okay and

what this does I put on my applications

now I put if you don't send a video

your application will not be considered

and yeah really really really harsh but

what it does is it makes sure that

everybody who applies is really really

serious about the job they they've

made the effort to make a video they

know how to use a computer which is

important if you're giving classes via

Skype and and it gives a great first

impression of me I mean I have to have

native English speakers but when I used

to get two hundred applications a lot of them

would be people whose whose English was

very good but it was not their their

mother tongue so oh geez so you can't tell from

the resume or the CV but in a video

it's very evident whether or not it's

their native language absolutely my

my surname is Italian so I know hey if

I'm writing to somebody maybe they think

I'm Italian you know I know that a lot

of a lot of teachers have you can't tell

you can't tell just by looking at their

name if there are native teacher or not

that's right and you might get an application

from Alfredo Blanco and he'll call himself

Fred White and you don't know until the

interview that is actually Spanish

a different yeah he's a Spanish speaker

and definitely not a native speaker

which you would be looking for

especially for your English lessons that

you do absolutely yeah and I think it also really

helps where the person they can show

their personality they're just able

to express themselves a little bit more

and give you a few seconds to just make

that impression that first impression

and and you know I really personally

if I'm watching a video when I'm trying

to hire someone because I hire some

freelancers sometimes I really notice

but if a person is just hello my name

is so-and-so and this is what

I do yeah okay thank you bye it's not

very exciting for them and it's not

exciting for us so it's no probably

going to be a next absolutely and it's

you know we're talking about a job for

a teacher of it doesn't have to be a well I mean

the my case I'm looking for teachers but

if you're dealing with the public or if

you're dealing with other people you

want to see that this person is going to

connect is going to be have a nice

personality be be friendly be a you know

you want to see their personality in

that video and you don't want them to just

read a script read some notes they've made

saying everything you want to hear no you

want to know who is this person who are

they are they going to be a good fit

with me can I connect with them in this

short introduction and it's more than

you can really do with a piece of paper

or a presentation it's it puts more than

words on paper to actually see someone

speaking and I mean just taking the time

to make a video that really shows a lot

about how serious they are about the

job so yeah a lot of people don't like

making a video or you know don't

like putting it even on YouTube I mean

you can put it on youtube and put a

private link that you can attach to the

CV but some people just don't want to do

that and they're they're not willing to

do that for a job then we're talking

about a job you've got to make the

effort to get a job you're not just

going to get it on a plate and if you're

not willing to make the extra effort for

the application then you're probably not

going to be willing to make the extra

effort or you go the extra mile in your

actual job so it's a great first test

really and I think that goes also to

when you're creating your resume it's

really important to add a little bit of

personalization to take the time to say

what company you're applying to why you

want to work for them I mean whether

it's a cover letter or just a little note

at the top of the page that

personalization really helps separate

them yes absolutely I've got CV's

or applications by email with no text

whatsoever to I can see they sent it to

my Academy to about twenty other academies I

oh no I just think bulksending

absolutely uninterested in working for

my yes you're just interested in you and

you expecting people to make the effort

to get in touch with you so straight in

the bin no yeah and it really I mean as

an employer that's hiring people this is

your livelihood it's your business and you

care about who is representing your

business and your brand so for us it's

really important that we hire the right

people and obviously someone who can't

take a minute to look at our company

really take the time to personalize it I

don't know that it's going to be a good

fit for me no absolutely no

you need no you got to go you've got to

always go the extra mile because there

are a hundred people applying for the

same job as you so you've got to stand

out you've got to be the best not just

good but you've got to be the best so

let's pretend now that this person gets

a job they have personalized their email

they've made an attractive resume to

attach to the email you see all of their

skills you think they're a good fit you

call them up and you have an interview

now what are some of the characteristics

that maybe would separate them

positively versus negatively during that

interview yeah well negatively I

have many stories I mean because all my

classes are all my interviews are via

Skype I mean the teachers are all over

the world so it's incredible

how many people just don't know how to

act in an interview

okay yeah it's via skype but it's still a

real interview so that I mean I've given

an interview to a guy who was lying on

his bed once I've given an interview to a

guy who had his cat with him he was

stroking his cat during an interview

that's distracting and awkward I just

thought would you take your cat to a

real interview no so don't bring your

cat to a Skype interview what else

yeah people just not preparing the

interview well and by that I mean yeah

if you're going to a physical interview

you would you would realize where the

place is you would make sure your car has

petrol to get there it's the same on

Skype make sure your laptop is plugged

in to the make sure you're in a part of

the house where it looks professional in

the background where you are not going

to be disturbed by family members or

pets during the interview and your

laptop isn't going to die right in the

middle of the interview because you know

yeah yeah just take the time plug it in

make sure I mean if the internet

disconnects or something that's beyond

your control yeah that's fine you know do everything

you can to try to make it be prepared

and I mean I would say even like I have

a cat and if if she came up into the

interview oh no the cat jumped up in

front of me it would be excuse me one

second my cat has decided to join me and

she's not part of this yeah yeah don't start

stroking exactly apologize I mean it's

it's all about preparation how serious

are you about the job and if you're

serious then you're prepared you've made

sure everything is perfect conditions

for the interview so that's right so you

can focus yeah are there I know for

me when I used to hire delivery drivers

for my delivery company I always had a

few questions that I asked that really

made the person think or I would ask

them the questions so that they could I

don't know it's almost like the answer

reveals

more than it seems do you have any

questions that you like to ask like this

in your interview? I do yeah I in fact

they're the first and the last question

I ask actually for me are the most

important and and I think as the

interviewee you should also treat the

always the first and the last question

as the most important because it's

the first impression and the last

impression it's you know the first

impressions are so important and the

last impression is what the interviewer

is going to remember more than anything

so it's very good to prepare the two

questions very well but my first

question is always what do you know

about me and online language academy? oh

good question so this is again it's a

bit of a test it's a bit of me seeing is

this person wasting my time or are they

serious about their application because

you know I'm basically asking have you

researched the company? do you know who I

am? you know do you know about what type

of classes we offer? have you been on the

website? have you do you care enough to

have spend half an hour navigating

around social media? and like are you

genuinely interested in working for us?

yeah because if you haven't been to the

website yet and you don't really know

what we do I don't know and you want to know

that they want to work for you for your

business not just for anybody but they

really want to work for your company and

if they do they've researched it so yeah that's

key that's really really good advice and I

mean I'm sure it's out there but really

when it's your business like if it's my

business and somebody you can tell

they've went through the website they've

looked at the pages they're talking

about some of the things some of the

finer details even where you're like wow

you know that's impressive especially to

the owner yeah oh my my I mean the

best the best answer I've had was one

one girl recently she was

she knew everything about the most

recent blog post we've done about blog

post I barely remembered I mean from

ages ago she really did extensive

research the worst also very recently I

said what do you know about the company?

and he said well I know that you teach

classes via Skype I think and I know and

I know that you pay x amount of euros

per class so basically yeah that the

pay he knew what the money was.. you read the add? yeah that's

definitely so something you should

definitely not do is walk into an

interview or have a Skype interview

without knowing anything about the

company that you're applying for a job

yeah okay and what's the last question

that you like to ask? okay so the last

one is have you got any questions? alright

which is a simple question and I

think every interviewer asks this but

what I'm actually asking is not have you

got any questions? I'm asking them well

I'm giving them basically an opportunity

to tell me how awesome they are alright

and how that everything we've

talked about in the interview that's

great but I'm giving them then an

opportunity to tell me more information

you know what extra can you do yes we've

talked about the fact that we for

example we teach business English

interview preparation conversation

classes but maybe in this in this part

they could say hey do me do you help

students prepare for IELTS and TOEFL

because I have extra experience doing

that and I've been here there I've

traveled to this country teaching this

teaching that it's a great way for them

to to give give more information about

how great they are that's right and it's

just opening up that dialogue or if they

do have a question or they want to know

more about the classes it might give

them an opportunity to

really talk about their specialty like

they could ask a question that would

really allow them to start explaining

how they can be an asset and how the way

they teach is unique or tell another

story or something that they didn't have

an opportunity to share during the job

interview yeah and let me tell you the

the best answer I got to this when I

said today it was really recently I said

have you got any questions and she said

to me what type of interviewer what type

of person are you hoping to hire? yeah

what is the what is the winning

applicant going to be like? and I said

woah okay I was not expecting so I said

okay so well obviously a great teacher

but apart from that I want this person

to to be professional I want them to

give a great image of online language

academy you're an ambassador for the

Academy as well as a teacher and I want

you to go the extra mile and that means

yes you're teaching classes via Skype

but not just that I want you to you know

go the extra mile give the students what

they need what they want and more and

and and she said wow that that's me that

you ah nice! that's good that's a really really good trick

because I I think when you're an

interviewee and you're in that situation

and sometimes the person on the other

side of the interview the interviewer

and they're a little bit you can you

don't know what they're thinking they

have their poker face on yeah and you

give them an answer and they write down

some notes and they make you kind of

nervous and you're like okay was that a

good note so you might be able to say

you know by throwing that answer back

can you tell me what your ideal

candidate looks like it again gives you

that opportunity to really sell yourself

and

promote the skills that you have and how

you are that person that they're looking

for yeah it was an absolutely winning

interview I came out of that interview

with a big big smile on my face I

remember yeah speaking to my wife

afterwards and I said to my wife I said

there's just one more thing that she needs

to do in order to be the perfect

candidate nice and that was and what was that? and that was

top tip after the interview I always

recommend just writing a simple quick

email to the person who interviewed you

just saying okay thank you for your time

if you've got any questions just let me

know and I appreciate the opportunity

that you're giving me you know just just

a short email but it just proves that

I've talked about going the extra mile

and it's a great example of that you

know yes I expect you to come to the

interview and and give a good interview

but an extra is the nice little

email afterwards and it just shows it was really

nice to meet you thank you for the

opportunity I'm looking forward to

hearing from you or something like that

exactly yeah and it just shows they're

really nice person good manners

professional they care about the job and

that they will go the extra mile to get

the job and that is a winning

thing for me it really is well so yeah I

think these are some really really great

tips for people for how to

handle a job interview and really get

through the first part have success

during the interview and for me I tend

to get nervous well I used to get

nervous during job interviews do you

have any advice for for people to deal

with their nerves? because this isn't

their first language likely and it can

be pretty intimidating trying to do a

difficult interview in English when it's

not your first language yeah I mean

interviews are

nerve-racking they make you nervous in

your language yeah but in a foreign

language it's it's even worse it's like yeah woah

so two main things you should the

first question is always usually the

same hi how are you? tell me a little bit

about yourself yeah so just visualize

this moment visualize yourself going to

the interview visualize yourself shaking

their hand sitting down do it in your mind

time and again and answer that first

question a million times in your mind

because if you if you've done it so many

times in your mind then when you do it

in reality it's easy you've been there

you've done it you know what you're

going to say you know what you want to say

you know how you're going to act so it

really helps calm the nerves at the

beginning of the interview just to get

you through the first few seconds where

you just walk in and you're like oh my

god my palms sweaty I just wiped it

off shake their hand sit down how are

you doing? I'm good and by the time

you're there your anxiety is already

going down and you can start focusing on

the new questions that you're not sure

yeah what you're going to have to answer

yeah that first question is just getting

getting rid of the nerves really and and

then and then the yeah the following

questions great prepare them I mean

you know the typical questions that

they're going to give you in an

interview and you can practice those

with a native English teacher you know

practice them with that's we help many

students prepare interviews and we go

through all the typical questions that

they ask we go through their CV as

well make sure you're able to expand on

everything that is written on your CV

because the interviewer will ask you

about about that and how they can

connect that back to the job that

they're applying for yeah you know even

if it's a completely unrelated job if

you can prepare the answer

in your head in English obviously about

the experience that's on your resume it

can help it come out a little bit easier

and you've already thought about how

past experience could possibly relate to

this job everything we do we learn from

even if it's not the same industry

right? yeah and that relating to this job

is a positive and you always want to

finish every answer on a positive note

you want to talk about your experiences

which is a great way to speak more

fluently by the way if you're speaking

about past experiences you're speaking

from you're speaking from the heart that's right and

not too much from you're not too the grammar brain

yeah the grammar brain yeah yeah so it really

helps you speak fluently and yeah and

then use that example to relate to how

you can help the company based on your

past experience that's a great tip yeah do you have

do you have any other advice for helping

people with their nerves in interviews?

is there anything else they can do? yeah I

think and I talked about the visualize

in it before but I think the best thing

you can do is practice the

interview beforehand and practice it

with somebody who you are really really

really uncomfortable oh no doing it with yeah so

that makes me nervous just thinking about

it oh my the way I used to do it with my

dad like I used to practice interviews

with my dad for work interviews

at university I studied French and

Spanish and Italian actually so I had

lots and lots of oral exams and I always

used to practice the oral exam with a

friend a classmate okay and it was just

the worst so so embarrassing and awkward

you feel terrible but yeah you can do it

with them then when we interview comes

it's easy it's easy because you don't

know this person and you've been through

you've broken that that barrier of fear

and embarrassment and anxiety that you

feel you've already been through it you

didn't want to talk to this person

you've been through that experience and

now you're like okay this is just

someone I don't know it's okay yeah it's a

great great tip so yeah do it with yeah

your friend your neighbor your

mom whoever whoever you feel the worst

doing it with do it with that person

yeah and it'll be a breeze it'll be easy

when the big interview comes

yeah maybe it could be I mean if they're

already a student with you and

they're doing the preparation for their

job interview maybe it would be better

to have it with a new teacher that

they've never worked with or something

just to create that circumstance where

okay this is someone I don't know i'm

going to practice with this person I yeah that's a great idea it really

is and yeah we've had that sometimes I had a

had a student last week actually write

to me saying I want I've got my

interview on Friday I want an interview

practice with a different teacher every

day of the week so I can you know do

that so I can feel like I'm speaking to

somebody new I'm not familiar with their

accent and they had different accents

every week every day until the interview

Wow well that's that's a good

challenging preparation but it's true

you don't know who the person doing the

interview you don't know how they're

going to speak or what their

personalities like so by exposing

yourself to different situations like

that it really prepares you to be able

to interact with anybody and be more

versatile that's great I really like

this conversation this some great advice

whether you're learning english or just

applying for a job in general so I think

there's a lot to learn here I guess

i just want to make sure that we remind

everybody please give us a thumbs up on

this video we really want to get a like

and leave a comment if you have made any

of these mistakes or maybe other tips

that you have that people

should never do in a job interview yes

please please share it with everybody

you know because it's it's it's

incredible it really is incredible how many

people need a job and how many bad

applications I get and I'm sure all

other employers get hundreds of bad

applications so that's right share it with your

friends and let's help your friends get a job yeah

you know anybody who's applying

for a job that speaks English or is

learning English preparing to try to get

a job in an english-speaking country

this would be a very valuable video so

good point and send them the link share

it with them spread the word and yeah

subscribe to our channels of course and

I think that that's it it was really

nice talking to you Greg thank you so

much for the advice yeah thanks for

having us Amy we'll speak soon I

hope okay alright we'll see yeah

see yeah bye for now ciao!

How To Create An Online Course - Duration: 2:47.

In this video, we're going to talk about how to create an online course.

I'm Kamala Chambers, an Online Course Launch Strategist and the Co-Founder of Thriving

Launch.

The first thing you will need to know when you create an online course is you have to

know what your gifts are.

What are the things that you're passionate that you want to share with the world?

What's your big message that you want to get out there?

The next thing is you want to know your market.

If you don't know who would buy a course or if people even buy it, then it's going to

be pointless for you even to create it.

But when you merge your passion and your gifts with something that people will buy, it's

the winning combo for online courses.

The next thing you need for an online course is you have to set-up the software.

Because you could create a course but if you don't have the software in place, then how

are you going to automate it?

How are you going to generate the sales?

When it comes to knowing your market, it's not just about randomly putting out information

on to the internet and hoping that someone will buy.

I say with marketing, you never guess.

You always want to ask.

So if you have a specialty that you want to put out there, then ask the market if people

are interested in it.

When you survey and ask your audience ahead of time, and people are engaging and excited

about it when you bring it up, then you know you're on to something.

Now, as far as software goes, there's a lot of different software out there that can just

eat up a lot of time, energy, and money in learning it and trying to grow with it.

Now, the most important thing is you find a software that can do it all for you.

One software that I love is ClickFunnels.

With ClickFunnels, you're able to integrate your emails, and you're able to build out

a sales funnel.

You're able to build out a membership site and all of these different aspects.

Now, I've been in this business a long time, and ClickFunnels is by far my favorite software

that I found.

If you'd like more support in putting your online course out there, you can head over

to thrivinglaunchschool.com.

It's in the link below.

I want to make sure that you have the information that you need.

There's a free course at Thriving Launch School and what I'm going to do is I'm going to walk

you through all of those missing elements that you need.

JOE, WILLIE AND ME. WE'VE GOT THREE HOURS, WE'RE

GOING TO DO ALL THESE STORIES RIGHT AND LAY THEM OUT IN A BIG

WORLD. THE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD IS

HOVERING UNDER 40% APPROVAL RATINGS JUST MONTHS INTO HIS

ADMINISTRATION. GALLUP DAILY TRACKING POLL HAS

THE PRESIDENT AT 38%. IBD WITH 36%.

THE LATEST QUINNIPIAC POLL HAS TRUMP AT 35%.

THE QUINNIPIAC POLLSTERS NOTE BY COMPARISON GEORGE W. BUSH'S

LOWEST, 28% IN THEIR POLL, CAME NEARLY EIGHT YEARS INTO OFFICE,

TWO UNPOPULAR WARS, A HOUSING CRISIS THAT DROVE A DEEP

RECESSION. PRESIDENT TRUMP IS UNDER WATER

ON MOST KEY ISSUES RIGHT NOW. 64% DISAPPROVE OF HIS

PERFORMANCE ON HEALTH CARE. 57% DISAPPROVE OF HIS HANDLING

ON IMMIGRATION ISSUES. 48% DISAPPROVE HIS HANDLING ON

THE ECONOMY. 61% ON ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY.

58% DISAPPROVE OF HIS HANDLING ON FOREIGN POLICY.

49% DISAPPROVE OF HIS HANDLING ON TERRORISM.

JOE? >> MARK HALPERIN, HOW BAD DO

THESE NUMBERS IMPACT THE PRESIDENT'S ABILITY TO GET

ANYTHING DONE, WHETHER IT'S OVERSEAS OR AT HOME?

>> IT'S TOUGH. WE TALK ALL THE TIME ABOUT HOW

LOW POLL NUMBERS DIMINISH THE SWAY WITH CONGRESS.

THESE FOREIGN LEADERS ARE AWARE OF HOW THESE NUMBERS IMPACT THE

PRESIDENT'S ABILITY TO DELIVER ON THINGS, HOW MUCH ROOM IT

GIVES HIM TO MANEUVER, AND YOU LOOK AT PAST PRESIDENTS AS WAS

SUGGESTED BEFORE, NUMBERS LIKE THIS USUALLY AFTER YOU'VE DONE A

LOT OF STUFF AND AP NAILED PETE. AT THE TIME HE'S FACING INCOMING

FROM AROUND THE WORLD, THE BIG SUMMIT THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WITH

THE PRESIDENT OF CHINA, HE'S FACING A LOT OF TOUGH DECISIONS

WITHOUT A LOT OF LEVERAGE. THESE POLL NUMBERS GIVE HIM LESS

LEVERAGE RATHER THAN MORE. >> SHANE, WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT,

ALSO, IS A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT FOREIGN POLICY CRISES.

THE QUESTIONS SURROUNDING THE WHITE HOUSE ITSELF, THE

QUESTIONS THAT ERUPTED YESTERDAY OVER SUSAN RICE.

DO THESE POLL NUMBERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE BIG PICTURE?

>> I THINK THEY DO. THESE ARE ALL CONVERGING AT ONE

TIME. THEY PUT TRUMP IN A BOX AND HOW

HE CAN RESPOND TO THEM. THESE ARE NOT NEW PROBLEMS.

THE NORTH KOREAN NUCLEAR ISSUE IS SOMETHING HE INHERITED FROM

OBAMA. THE SYRIAN ISSUE, WHAT DID HE DO

YESTERDAY? HE CRITICIZED THE OBAMA

ADMINISTRATION FOR ITS WEAK STANCE.

THESE ARE IN HIS COURT NOW. HE'S THE CHIEF FOREIGN POLICY

OFFICIAL. THIS IS UP TO HIM.

THOUGH HIS POLL NUMBERS ARE LOW, THAT DOESN'T CHANGE THE

NECESSITY FOR HIM TO RESPOND FORCEFULLY.

>> YOU CAN'T OVERSTATE THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE NUMBERS TO

THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF. HIS STUMP SPEECH FOR MANY, MANY

MONTHS CONSISTED HIM SOLELY PULLING A PIECE OF PAPER OUT OF

HIS POCKET AND READING HIS POLL NUMBERS.

HE MAY FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE NUMBER, CITE ANOTHER POLL THAT

HAS HIM HIGHER. THERE'S NO GOOD NEWS.

35% IS THE NUMBER YOU SEE AT THE END OF A BAD PRESIDENCY.

THE ONE GOOD NUMBER WHERE 52% SAY THE ECONOMY IS GOOD, EVEN IN

THERE 66% OF THE PEOPLE SAYS PRESIDENT OBAMA GETS CREDIT FOR

THE GOOD ECONOMY. >> THE TWO THINGS HE CARES MOST

ABOUT ARE WINNING AND STRENGTH. THESE NUMBERS DON'T REFLECT

EITHER OF THOSE THINGS. >> PRESIDENT TRUMP IS MORE

POPULAR, THOUGH, THAN HIS OWN PARTY.

IN THAT QUINNIPIAC POLL AMERICANS DISAPPROVE OF

REPUBLICANS 70% TO 21%, A 14-POINT NEGATIVE SWING FROM TWO

WEEKS AGO, ABOUT ONE POINT A DAY.

HARRY N TWEETED WHEN YOU LOOK AT A GENERIC BALLOT THE HOUSE GOP

IS IN THE WORST POSITION EVER FOR A MAJORITY PARTY AT THIS

POINT. DEMOCRATS ARE ALSO UNPOPULAR.

THEIR DISAPPROVAL/APPROVAL IS 57 TO 34%.

BUT A BIT OF AN UPSWING. PAUL RYAN, MITCH McCONNELL,

NANCY PELOSI AND CHUCK SCHUMER ARE ALL SIGNIFICANTLY UPSIDE

DOWN IN THEIR FAVORABILITY POLLING.

JOE, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS IN A VERY DIFFICULT POSITION.

>> WERE YOU COMING TO ME? EVERY TIME YOU COME TO ME,

PEOPLE IN THE BOOTH ARE TALKING TO ME.

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS MORNING YOU HAVE ASKED ME A

QUESTION AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO HEAR IT.

SO, YEAH, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS IN TROUBLE.

IF DONALD TRUMP THINKS HE CAN SOMEHOW BLAME THIS ON PAUL RYAN

OR THE HOUSE, HE'S COMPLETELY WRONG.

THEY'RE LOOKING STRAIGHT AT HIM. THEIR NUMBERS ARE COLLAPSING

BECAUSE OF HIM, BECAUSE THERE'S NO LEADERSHIP IN THE REPUBLICAN

PARTY AND THIS IS VERY, VERY BAD, NOT JUST FOR TRUMP.

IT'S BAD FOR PAUL RYAN AND BAD FOR THE HOUSE.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, EVERYBODY LOOKS BACK TO THE PERSON WHO IS

SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING THE SHOW AND IT'S DONALD TRUMP, AND THE

NEWS, MARK HALPERIN, IS ALL BAD. IF YOU'RE WORKING ON THE HILL,

WHY WOULD HE DO ANYTHING FOR DONALD TRUMP?

A TOP SYRIAN MILITARY OFFICER HAS DENIED SYRIA USED ANY

CHEMICAL WEAPONS WHILE RUSSIAN MEDIA CITING THE DEFENSE

MINISTRY SAYS IT WAS A GOVERNMENT AIR STRIKE THAT HIT

AN ALLEGED REBEL CHEMICAL WEAPONS STASH.

THE U.N. SECURITY COUNCIL WILL MEET THIS MORNING AT 10:00 A.M.

TO DISCUSS THIS ATTACK. IN A STATEMENT PRESIDENT TRUMP

CONDEMNED THE REPREHENSIBLE AND INTOLERABLE ATTACK WHILE

SHIFTING BLAME TO HIS PREDECESSOR, PRESIDENT OBAMA

SAYING IN PART, QUOTE, THIS, THESE HEINOUS ACTIONS BY THE

BASHAR al ASSAD REGIME ARE A CONSEQUENCE OF THE PAST

ADMINISTRATION'S WEAKNESS AND IR RESOLUTION.

PRESIDENT OBAMA SAID IN 2012 THAT HE WOULD ESTABLISH A RED

LINE AGAINST THE USE OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS AND DID NOTHING.

IT CONTRASTS WITH A TWEET FROM TRUMP IN SEPTEMBER OF 2013 WHICH

READS THIS, PRESIDENT OBAMA, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA.

THERE IS NO UPSIDE AND TREMENDOUS DOWNSIDE.

SAVE YOUR POWDER FOR ANOTHER AND MORE IMPORTANT DAY.

JOE, LET'S LAY IT OUT HERE AND TALK ABOUT THIS.

FIRST OF ALL, ON THIS SHOW WE'VE BEEN EXTREMELY CRITICAL ALL

ALONG TO THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FOR THEIR

INACTION OR LACK OF STRENGTH AS IT PERTAINS TO SYRIA.

HAVING SAID THAT, THIS IS ON TRUMP'S WATCH.

WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF HIS FIRST REACTION TO THIS?

WELL, FIRST OF ALL, IT'S OUR JOBS TO CRITICIZE PRESIDENTS

WHETHER IT'S WHAT GEORGE W. BUSH WAS DOING IN IRAQ OR WHAT BARACK

OBAMA WAS DOING IN SYRIA. THAT'S WHAT WE GET PAID TO DO.

WHAT THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES GETS PAID TO DO IS LEAD

US TOGETHER AS A COUNTRY AT TIMES OF CRISES.

HIM CARPING AT THE LAST PRESIDENT FOR THE LAST

PRESIDENT'S FAILURES IS AS UNBECOMING AS, LET'S SAY, BARACK

OBAMA CARPING AT GEORGE W. BUSH. I DON'T REMEMBER OBAMA DOING

THAT SPECIFICALLY IN THIS SORT OF CRISIS, BUT THERE ALWAYS WAS

THAT SORT OF CARPING. BUT BY HIS OWN STATEMENT DONALD

TRUMP NOW PUTS THE RESPONSIBILITY ON HIS SHOULDERS.

OKAY, YOU'RE CRITICIZING BARACK OBAMA FOR WHAT HE DID NOT DO IN

2012, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO FIVE YEARS LATER?

BECAUSE NOW YOU'RE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND I

PERSONALLY DON'T CARE WHAT HE TWEETED IN 2013.

I CARE WHAT HE SAID YESTERDAY, AND I CARE WHAT HE SAID TODAY.

SO, MIKA, THE WAY I READ THAT, HE'S BEING CRITICAL OF THE

PRESIDENT FOR DOING NOTHING WHEN ASSAD USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

WELL ASSAD USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS, SO WHAT IS DONALD

TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IN 2017 GOING TO DO,

OTHER THAN COZY UP TO ASSAD'S NUMBER ONE ENABLER IN THE WORLD,

ASSAD, UNLTS HE'S A COMPLETE HYPOCRITE AND WE HAVE EVERY

REASON TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS, HE WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

HE WILL TAKE STRONG AGGRESSIVE ACTION WITH THE WORLD COMMUNITY.

MARK HALPERIN, HE WILL STOP THIS.

HE CAN'T CRITICIZE BARACK OBAMA ON ONE HAND FOR TURNING A BLIND

EYE TO ASSAD'S CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN 2012 AND ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN

IN 2017 AND DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHILE THIS HOLOCAUST

UNFURLS BEFORE OUR EYES. >> WHY IS THIS SUCH A BIG WEEK?

HE'S DEALING WITH THREE OF THE MOST RETRACTIBLE FOREIGN POLICY

CHALLENGES, HOW TO GET NORTH KOREA TO STOP HAVING MISSILES

AND NUCLEAR WEAPON, HOW TO GET CHINA TO STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE

OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE ECONOMY, AND HOW TO GET THE

SYRIAN CIVIL WAR TO END, HOW TO GET ASSAD OUT OF POWER AND

RUSSIA'S INFLUENCE THERE TO DIMINISH?

IN ALL THOSE CASES, THE ONUS IS ON HIM NOW.

HE DOESN'T LIKE HOW PRESIDENT DEALT WITH THOSE THREE ISSUES.

THIS IS THE WEEK WHEN HE'S GOT AN OPPORTUNITY, IF YOU WANT TO

PUT IT IN A DIFFERENT WAY, TO SAY IT'S NOT A CRISIS, IT'S AN

OPPORTUNITY. THIS IS HIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAY,

I DIDN'T LIKE WHAT PRESIDENT OBAMA DID ON THOSE THREE ISSUES,

I'M GOING TO DO IT DIFFERENTLY. THE STATEMENTS YESTERDAY DIDN'T

SHOW ROADMAP TO HOW HE'LL DEAL WITH ASSAD ANY DIFFERENTLY

EXCEPT TO SAY WE'RE GOING TO LEAVE HIM IN POWER.

>> POINTING FINGERS BACK FIVE YEARS AGO DOES NOTHING FOR WHAT

HAPPENED YESTERDAY AND THE DAY BEFORE AND WHAT'S HAPPENING

EVERY DAY. SHANE HARRIS, WHY DON'T WE JUST

FACE THE GRIM REALITY? IT SEEMS THERE'S GOING TO BE

VERY LITTLE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN DO TO PERSUADE

RUSSIA TO INTERVENE IN SYRIA AND VERY LITTLE DONALD TRUMP IS

GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO TO GET CHINA TO INTERVENE IN NORTH

KOREA IN A MEANINGFUL WAY. >> I THINK WHEN WE WENT EARLIER

TO THE QUESTION OF PEOPLE IN THE FOREIGN POLICY COMMUNITY HAVING

ANXIETY ABOUT TRUMP'S KNOWLEDGE OF NRK OR RUSSIA OR SOME OF

THESE ISSUES. IN SYRIA THIS IS A PLACE WHERE

HE CAN TRY TO DO SOMETHING AND DO MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS

ADMINISTRATION HAD DONE. I THINK HE WOULD WIN A LOT OF

POINTS AND BUILD CONFIDENCE WITH PEOPLE, EVEN HOLDOVERS FROM THE

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WERE DEEPLY FRUSTRATED WITH THE FACT THAT WE

DREW A RED LINE AND DID NOTHING ABOUT BASHAR al ASSAD'S CHEMICAL

WEAPONS. EVEN TRYING TO WORK OUT SOME

KIND OF RESPONSE WOULD BE MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION

DID AND POTENTIALLY GIVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAY, LOOK, I'M

TRYING. THERE IS NO PERFECT ANSWER TO

ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS. IT'S NOT SITTING IN A BOX ON A

SHELF SOME PLACE. HE COULD ADD LEAST TRY TO DO

SOMETHING AND HE WOULD BE MAKING SOME PROGRESS.

>> REMEMBER JUST LAST WEEK SECRETARY OF STATE REX TILLERSON

SAID THE FATE OF BASHAR al ASSAD IS UP TO THE SYRIAN PEOPLE WHICH

IS A DEPARTURE FROM THE RHETORIC OF THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE THAT

ASSAD NEEDED TO LEAVE. WHAT ARE THE ANSWERS?

NOW PRESIDENT TRUMP FACES THE SAME FINITE LIST OF POTENTIAL

ACTIONS THAT VEXED THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FOR YEARS.

HE COULD PUT AMERICAN BOOTS ON THE GROUND, SOMETHING PRESIDENT

OBAMA CATEGORICALLY RULED OUT, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SPECIAL

FORCES THERE. HE COULD ESTABLISH A NO-FLY ZONE

AND RISK HAVING TO SHOOT DOWN RUSSIAN OR TURKISH FIGHTER JETS

WHO STRAY INTO THE AREA. HE COULD TRAIN FIGHTERS AND

SUPPLY WEAPONS TO SO-CALLED MODERATE REBELS, AN OPTION THAT

CARRIES A BIG RISK OF INADVERTENTLY ARMING TEAR WRITS,

HE COULD PUSH NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES TO STEP IN AND

ESTABLISH SAFE ZONES FOR REFUGEES.

JOINING US NOW, BAZ MA CODE BONNIE AND NBC FOREIGN

CORRESPONDENT AYMAN MOHYELDIN. FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE, WHAT

HAPPENED YESTERDAY? THESE PICTURES SHOT ACROSS THE

WORLD, HORRIFYING, SHOWING CHILDREN SUFFOCATING TO DEATH,

FOAMING AT THE MOUTH. WHAT HAPPENED IN SYRIA.

>> TESTIMONIES ARE VERY CLEAR, A RUSSIAN-MADE PLANE MAYBE PILOTED

BY A SYRIAN, SHELLED THOSE AREAS.

CHILDREN, WOMEN WERE THE MOST ATTACKED, THOSE WHO SUFFERED

MOST, WHO RECEIVED THOSE ATTACKS AND WHO, IN FACT, DIED BECAUSE

THEY'RE MORE VULNERABLE AND SUFFOCATE MORE EASILY THAN MEN.

IT WAS AN ADD TACK ON WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

IT WAS AN ATTACK ON CIVILIANS. NOT ON ANY MILITARY TARGETS

THERE. WE DON'T KNOW THAT A LEGITIMATE

MILITARY TARGET WAS HIT. ALL WE KNOW IS THESE CIVILIANS

HAVE DIED, DOZENS, AND THE AIRCRAFT THAT IS A RUSSIAN-MADE

AIRCRAFT THAT BOMBED THE AREA WITH CLEM CAL WEAPONS.

WE DON'T KNOW IF THIS WAS SARIN GAS OR CHLORINE, THESE WAS

BANNED IN 2013 UNDER UN RESOLUTIONS AND THE OBAMA

ADMINISTRATION WITH RUSSIA THAT SYRIA HAD DISMANTLED ENTIRELY

ITS CHEMICAL WEAPONS ARSENAL AND IS NOW -- WILL NOT USE THEM

AGAIN. IT HAS USED THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN

AGAINST CHILDREN AND WOMEN. >> WELL, THE WORLD COMMUNITY HAS

DONE, AS YOU KNOW, UNFORTUNATELY TRAGICALLY MORE THAN ANYONE

ELSE, THE WORLD COMMUNITY, WESTERN DEMOCRACIES, THE UNITED

STATES, THEY'VE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHILE 500,000 SYRIANS

HAVE DIED. WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THE UNITED

STATES, OUR ALLIES IN EUROPE AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO BE PART

OF A COALITION OF THE WILLING TO STOP THESE ATTACKS AGAINST

CIVILIANS? WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE WESTERN

DEMOCRACIES DO? >> LOOK, I THINK WE -- THE

SYRIANS ARE WATCHING AND WAITING TO SEE IF ANY LEADER IN THIS

WORLD, PARTICULARLY PRESIDENT TRUMP, IS GOING TO GO BEYOND

STATEMENTS OF OUTRAGE. WE'VE LADD ENOUGH OF THOSE OVER

SIX YEARS AND FAILURE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

NOW I THINK FIRST OF ALL, THE SYRIAN REGIME'S AIR FORCE SHOULD

BE GROUNDED, NEVER ALLOWED TO FLY AGAIN, AND I THINK IF

PRESIDENT TRUMP CAN SPEAK TO PRESIDENT PUTIN IN RUSSIA WHO

SAYS HE WANTS A POLITICAL EXIT NOW, AN EXIT STRATEGY FROM

SYRIA, WANTS A POLITICAL SETTLEMENT, MAYBE HE CAN ASK

THAT HE DELIVERS, THAT HE DELIVERS ASSAD.

ASSAD SHOULD NOT FLY IRANIAN FORCES WHO SUPPORT ASSAD WHO

ACTUALLY FIGHT FOR ASSAD BECAUSE ASSAD HAS ALMOST LOST HIS ARMY,

HAS NO MILITARY CAPACITY OF HIS OWN ANYMORE.

HE CAN MAYBE REIGN IN THOSE IRANIANS, PUSH THEM OUT, PUSH

THEM BACKWARDS SO THEY ARE NOT FIGHTING SYRIANS EVERYWHERE IN

THE COUNTRY AND ENCOURAGING JIHADISM.

THINK WHAT WE'RE SEEING IS ASSAD IS MANUFACTURING TERRORISTS

EVERY DAY AND IS NOW ASKING THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO COME

AND PROPOSE HIMSELF AS THEIR ALLY TO FIGHT TERRORISM.

CAN WE SEE THIS IS THE TRAP THAT ASSAD HAS PUT TO THE

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY, THAT PRESIDENT TRUMP IS NOW SEEING

ASSAD COULD STAY. THESE STATEMENTS ARE A BLANK

CHECK FOR ASSAD TO CONTINUE. THAT IS HOW THE SYRIANS

YESTERDAY READ THE ATTACK. >> ALL RIGHT.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING WITH US.

WE GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. WILLIE GEIST, IT DOES SEEM TO ME

WHILE ARMING REBEL FACTIONS ACROSS SYRIA NOW IS FAR MORE

DANGEROUS TODAY THAN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FIVE YEARS AGO WHEN

THERE ACTUALLY WERE MODERATE FACTIONS THERE STILL FIGHTING.

CERTAINLY THE WORLD COMMUNITY SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT A

WAY TO ENACT A NO-FLY ZONE AND LET THE RUSSIANS KNOW THAT WE'RE

GOING IN AND THAT'S WHAT WE'RE DOING, THAT WESTERN DEMOCRACIES

CAN NOT STAND BY ANY LONGER AND WATCH 3-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN GASSED

BY RUSSIAN AIRPLANES WHETHER THEY'RE SYRIAN PILOTS DROPPING

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION OR RUSSIANS.

>> JOE, WE CAN GO BACK TO TAPES, YOU, MIKA AND ME OVER THE LAST

SIX YEARS AND HAVING THIS EXACT CONVERSATION, SAYING HOW LONG

ARE WE GOING TO STAND BY? NOW IT'S BEEN SIX YEARS.

AYMAN MOHYELDIN, THERE ARE 5 MILLION PEOPLE WHO HAVE LEFT THE

COUNTRY, HALF A MILLION KILLED, 6 MILLION INTERNALLY DISPLACED

IN SYRIA. A LOT OF PEOPLE THIS MORNING

AFTER SEEING THOSE PICTURES YESTERDAY SAYING DO SOMETHING.

THAT'S A LOT MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT SOUNDS.

WHAT'S THE MOST REALISTIC APPROACH THE UNITED STATES AND

THE WEST CAN TAKE. >> IF THERE WAS SUCH AN EASY

ANSWER TO THAT, WILLIE, I'M SURE THEY WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED IT BY

NOW. YOU HEARD RECOMMENDED BY BESSMA,

GROUNDING THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE. THE UNITED STATES ALONG WITH

MEMBERS OF ARAB COUNTRIES COULD CARRY OUT AIR STRIKES AGAINST

SYRIAN AIR FORCE TARGETS TO PREVENT THEM FROM CARRYING OUT

THESE TYPES OF BARREL BOMBS, CRUDE BARREL BOMBS OR CHEMICAL

ATTACKS ON TARGETS ON VARIOUS PARTS OF THE COUNTRY.

THAT COULD BE ONE IMMEDIATE MILITARY ACTION ON THE TABLE.

THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLEXITY WITH CARRYING OUT MILITARY

ACTIONS IN SYRIA. KEEP IN MIND PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS

MET WITH PRESIDENT OF EGYPT, MEETING WITH KING ABDULLAH.

HE HAS TO NAVIGATE IN THE ARAB WORLD AND MUSLIM WORLD DIFFERENT

OPINIONS AND STRATEGIES. THE PRESIDENT OF EGYPT SAID THE

SYRIAN GOVERNMENT AND SYRIAN ARMY BELONGING TO ASSAD SHOULD

BE SUPPORTED. KING ABDULLAH OF JORDAN IS

PROBABLY GOING TO MAKE THE ARGUMENT THAT PRESIDENT ASSAD OF

SYRIA HAS TO GO. PRESIDENT TRUMP IS WAKING UP TO

A REALITY OF VERY DIFFERENT INTERESTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

IF YOU ADD TO THAT THE COMPLEXITIES OF THINGS LIKE THE

MUSLIM TRAVEL BAN YOU'LL START TO SEE WHY IT'S DIFFICULT TO GET

THEIR SUPPORT WHEN THE UNITED STATES WANTS TO GO INTO ACTION

IN SYRIA IF THAT'S THE COURSE THEY DECIDE TO DO.

>> MIKA, I WANT TO FOLLOW UP ON WHAT WILLIE SAID.

IT IS SO IMPORTANT. WE COULD GO TO TAPE OVER THE

PAST SIX YEARS AND WE COULD FIND ONE LEADER AFTER ANOTHER LEADER

COMING ON THIS SHOW, AND WHEN WE SAY PEOPLE ARE DYING, THEY'RE

USING BARREL BOMBS, THEY'RE USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS, USING

WEAPONS OF MASS -- EVERYBODY THAT COMES ON THE SHOW HAS

ALWAYS SAID, WELL, IT'S HARD, IT'S HARD, IT'S DIFFICULT, WE

DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. YES, WE KNOW THAT.

BUT AS HENRY KISSINGER SAID, WHEN YOU'RE A LEADER OF THIS

COUNTRY, YOU RARELY GET TO CHOOSE BETWEEN A GOOD DECISION

AND A BAD DECISION. IT'S USUALLY CHOOSING BETWEEN A

BAD DECISION AND A WORSE DECISION.

BARACK OBAMA AND HIS ADMINISTRATION REFUSED TO TAKE

ANY TOUGH DECISIONS ON SYRIA. DONALD TRUMP, HE'S TWEETING AND

HE'S PUTTING OUT, FINGER-POINTING, ELEMENTARY

SCHOOL LEVEL PRESS RELEASES ATTACKING THE PREVIOUS

ADMINISTRATION INSTEAD OF TELLING US WHAT HE IS GOING TO

DO, AND I JUST WONDER WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED SEVERAL YEARS AGO

IF THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE HAD BEEN GROUNDED WHEN WE WERE ASKING

PEOPLE ON THIS SHOW, DON'T WE GROUND THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE TO

STOP THE BARREL BOMBS, TO STOP THE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION,

THE CHEMICAL ATTACKS? I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANOTHER

POLITICIAN COME ON THIS SHOW AND SAY IT'S HARD.

WE GET IT. WE'VE HEARD THAT FOR SIX YEARS.

ROLL THE PICTURES, WE WILL SHOW YOU WHAT YOUR RINGING OF HANDS

HAS DONE. THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY,

MIKA, HAVE TO COME TOGETHER IN SOME WAY.

>> WE'RE GOING TO BE WATCHING SOME CHALLENGES WITH THAT.

WE HAVE A PRESIDENT WHO HAS CERTAINLY CRITICIZED THE FORMER

PRESIDENT FOR NOT ACTING ON THIS.

HE IS NOW ON THE SPOT. THE QUESTION IS ON HIM.

IT'S ON HIS WATCH. WHAT'S HE GOING TO DO?

WHAT'S HE GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS?

AND THEN THE BIGGER QUESTION WILL BE CAN HE DO ANYTHING GIVEN

HOW HE HAS CONDUCTED HIMSELF, NOT ONLY DURING THE CAMPAIGN BUT

DURING THESE FIRST WEEKS AND MONTHS OF HIS PRESIDENCY BECAUSE

WE MAY FIND THAT BEING CREDIBLE MATTERS.

NOT LYING MATTERS, WORDS THAT YOU SAY MATTER.

WHETHER OR NOT YOU HAVE THE SUPPORT OF YOUR PARTY MATTERS.

YOU ASKED THE QUESTION EARLIER, JOE, WHY WOULD ANY REPUBLICANS

DO ANYTHING FOR DONALD TRUMP? WHY WOULD ANYBODY IN THE WORLD

COMMUNITY DO ANYTHING FOR DONALD TRUMP RIGHT NOW?

I'M VERY WORRIED ABOUT THIS. >> AND THE PARTY ESPECIALLY, WHY

WOULD THE PARTY DO ANYTHING FOR HIM WHEN HE'S TAKEN THEM TO

RECORD LOWS IN JUST TWO MONTHS. HIS NUMBERS ARE AT RECORD LOWS.

ONE THING THAT DONALD TRUMP CAN'T DO, IF WE'RE GOING TO GET

ANYTHING DONE, IS TO BLAME BARACK OBAMA.

THAT DOES US NO GOOD TODAY THAN BARACK OBAMA AND HIS

ADMINISTRATION BLAMING GEORGE W. BUSH.

YOU'VE GOT TO LOOK FORWARD AND YOU'VE GOT TO GIVE US SOLUTIONS.

AGAIN, I DON'T KNOW, MIKA, HOW THE WORLD COMMUNITY ALLOWS THE

SYRIAN AIR FORCE TO CONTINUE FLYING AND DROPPING CHEMICAL

WEAPONS ON LITTLE CHILDREN AND STRANGLING THEM IN VIEW OF THE

ENTIRE WORLD. BY THE WAY, IF YOU'RE A

POLICYMAKER, IT'S HARD IS NO LONGER AN ACCEPTED ANSWER ON

"MORNING JOE." COME WITH SOLUTIONS OR DON'T

COME AT ALL. WHAT DO WE HAVE NEXT?

>> STILL AHEAD, WHEN IT COMES TO APPROVAL NUMBERS, OBAMACARE IS

FAR OUTPACING THE TWO LEADERS FIGHTING TO WIPE IT OUT.

WHAT THAT COULD

ONE OF GREATLY INCREASED PRESSURE AND THEN EVENTUAL

ENGAGEMENT. >> LET'S GO TO CAPITOL HILL

MEMBER OF SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS ARMED SERVICE DEMOCRAT

TIM KAINE OF VIRGINIA. GOOS TO SEE YOU.

>> HI, WILLIE. >> YOU WERE ON IN OCTOBER A FEW

WEEKS BEFORE THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

YOU AND I AND A GROUP AROUND THE TABLE TALKED ABOUT WHAT TO DO

WITH SYRIA. HERE WE ARE AGAIN.

WE TALKED ABOUT CHEMICAL ATTACK. WE MUST HOLD ACCOUNTABLE AND

PROTECT CIVILIANS. YOU SAID IN OCTOBER WE NEED A

HUMANITARIAN ZONE IN SYRIA. IS THAT THE BEST OPTION?

IS THERE ANY MORE THAN THE UNITED STATES CAN BE DOING?

ALL THIS WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THIS PROBLEM, CHILDREN

SUFFOCATING TO DEATH ROLLING ACROSS SCREENS AROUND THE WORLD.

>> WILLIE, THIS IS HORRIFYING. WE OUGHT TO BE DOING A COUPLE OF

THINGS. FIRST, THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS

TO BLUNTLY, VIGOROUSLY, CONTINUOUSLY CALL OUT THE

ATROCITIES OF BASHAR AL ASSAD, WHICH ARE HELPED IN IMMEASURABLE

WAYS BY RUSSIANS AND IRANIANS. I THINK THE ADMINISTRATION'S

DECISION TO TRY TO COZY UP TO RUSSIA MEANS THEY ARE NOT

WILLING TO CALL A HUMANITARIAN WAR CRIME EXACTLY WHAT IT IS.

WE'VE SEEN THIS A COUPLE OF TIMES IN THE ADMINISTRATION.

SECOND, THE REASON FOR THE HUMANITARIAN SAFE ZONE WAS

BECAUSE THE U.N. CALLED FOR CROSS-BORDER DELIVERY OF

HUMANITARIAN AID IN FEBRUARY OF 2014 BUT THE WORLD COMMUNITY HAS

DONE NOTHING -- NOTHING TO ENFORCE THAT.

YOU CAN'T HAVE A STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL

WORLD ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND DO NOTHING TO ENFORCE IT.

SO WHILE IT'S GOTTEN MORE COMPLICATED BECAUSE OF THE

ENTRANCE OF RUSSIANS AND TURKISH, KURDISH DISPUTE ON THE

BORDER, WE SHOULD STILL TRY TO PROVIDE A PLACE IN SYRIA WHICH

PEOPLE CAN STAY IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, WHICH THEY WANT TO DO,

SAFE FROM THE ATROCITIES OF BASHAR AL ASSAD OR ISIS.

>> WE HAD A LEADER OF SYRIAN OPPOSITION AND SHE PRETTY

PASSIONATELY MADE A PLEA TO UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, MR.

TRUMP AND YOU ALL IN THE SENATE TO DO MORE.

SHE MENTIONED GROUNDING THE AIR FORCE, PERHAPS ATTACKING SOME OF

THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE'S PLANES ON THE GROUND.

AS YOU REMEMBER THAT'S A POSITION HELD BY THEN SECRETARY

OF STATE JOHN KERRY IN 2013. HE MADE THE CASE FOR THAT.

SHOULD THE UNITED STATES ATTACK THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE?

>> WILLIE, I VOTED IN AUGUST OF 2013 THAT WE SHOULD USE MILITARY

ACTION TO PUNISH BASHAR AL ASSAD FOR USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

I HAVE KIDS IN THE MILITARY, THIS IS NOT AN EASY VOTE TO

TAKE. WHEN YOU HAVE CHEMICAL, YOU

CANNOT USE AGAINST CIVILIANS. THAT HAS HELPED TROOPS ON THE

BATTLEFIELD BE RELATIVELY MORE SECURE KNOWING CHEMICAL WEAPONS

WON'T BE USED. SOMEBODY VIOLATES IT, THERE HAS

TO BE A CONSEQUENCE. >> INCLUDING ATTACKING THE AIR

FORCE, SENATOR. >> HERE IS WHAT I WOULD DO.

START WITH THE PROPOSITION OF PROVIDING HUMANITARIAN AID.

IF ANYBODY TRIED TO SCREW AROUND WITH OUR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE

HUMANITARIAN AID, THERE WOULD HAVE TO BE MILITARY EFFORT TO

PROTECT THE RIGHT TO FOLLOW THAT U.N. SECURITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION. >> ISN'T IT CLEAR BASHAR AL

ASSAD IS WILLING TO DO MORE THAN SCREW AROUND.

>> ABSOLUTELY. >> WE MADE A DEAL WITH HIM HE

WOULD GET RID OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN SYRIA.

THAT WAS ARGUABLY THE REASON WE WEREN'T GOING IN AND DOING

SOMETHING ABOUT IT BUT HERE WE ARE WITH ANOTHER ATTACK.

>> THAT'S TRUE. WE SHOULD BE PROSECUTING BASHAR

AL ASSAD FOR WAR CRIMES IN THE HAGUE.

WE SHOULD BE DOING A LOT

Finances in School - Easy Cash Money Lenders Apr 5 2017 - Duration: 5:31.

what it is and I got a live with it

so were you even taught in school the

question things out always questions

things and not only that you always make

up mind don't and one other things you

don't expect somebody to teach you

something and especially like financing

and all that nobody's gonna come out of

work and teach you that should do it in

schools and stuff but they don't and if

you don't teach it to yourself and learn

how to do it

y'all ok but if you're never exposed to

it how do you teach it to yourself read

you go to the library

go to the library's people's a new

hairspray say you have parents who don't

teach you or my parents was dead at the time

seventeen-year-old from what was

they didn't teach me nothing well but

that's not something we were taught I

mean but why you blaming

why is it your parents responsibility i'm not blaming anybody I'm

just saying it's like okay if you're a

little kid and you don't know for how

finances are more important than some of

the bullshit they teach kids in school

like the history of memorizing all the

dead presidents

that's bullshit teaching finances so

what but I don't have no control over

what they teach you in school and I'm

saying so now because they don't teach

in school you supposed to walk around rest

of the world ignorant figure out what's

important to do your research yourself

then gonna go to school ok but that's a

individual thing like right here you go past

next to the cash express title pawn and

so this is what's teaching kids right

here all this bullshit and guess what nigga

paid the price for data stupid going along

with that then they gonna pay the price

somebody taught them to go there

just like anything else so if

they want to research and figure out how

to do it then guess what they're gonna

research and figure out how to do and

how to use the banks and why to use the banks

but if you don't guess what

then the title people they gonna

put up more shops and they're going to

enjoy having your money guess what you

don't wake up broke every day and have

nothing for yourself and guess what

nobody's gonna care quick cash on titles

no credit

so it's the they get cahs cash quick

you know for the poor folks while if you

dumb enough to do a dumb enough to take

your money

yeah so whos fault is that yeah but that's

what this is teaching young folks

that ain't teaching nobody nothing

seek that out to learn how to do that so

I'm sayin all in what you seek out

yeah but then they're seeking it out

their parents of may have done okay then

if thats well you think you can do it

what your parents do then guess what

there's a lot of people in this world do

a lot better than their parents do so

you have to look at you have to think

outside of the box some time, and most of the

time if you sit and watch your parents

do something didn't work for em

why would you keep doing the same thing

that didn't work well there ain't no

that don't make any sense

more than stuff we didn't work but

sometimes it's the extremes that parents

do that but the whole thing about

everything ain't about the parents after you get a certain age

you have to figure things out for

yourself is not about your parents to

teach you everything in this world

environment culture whatever that

environment culture is is that there can

still be influences that had you

doing some screwed up things

you have to do your own research and

and it's nobody elses responsibility to

do your own research and guess what i

was in that same culture and I be my

research and I understood about the banks

and everything else and I'm not no no

genius know if I can do it anybody can

do it well

well you're lucky I mean not everybody

understands it or not you know

I didn't want to be poor my whole life

yeah but ok but that's one of those

things how do you attach that to the

banks and understanding everything you

do because the thing is they

there's a bunch of smoke and mirrors

with all that stuff yeah but the whole

thing about it is you have to make up

your own mind and I'm gonna tell ya the first time that

I wanted to finance a house I didn't

know anything about that i just walked

into the bank and start asking some

questions and got information and read over it

it i didn't know anything about it but

that's not what I learned and I learned

that the banks gave me the best interest

rates and and all that was the only way

where I learned how to do that is by

checking that out out any even shopping for

different interest rates yeah but how do

that if I didn't learn that the banks

gave me the best let's see I didn't know

until you told me that you can even shop

around for different interest rates for

banks or credit cards you know I mean

and things like that

yeah but you gotta have a great care

credit score to do that

get a good credit score and make

sure you pay everybody back eh

get all kinds of good deals on front

banks and everything and they'll go out of their way

to loan you money but if all the sudden

you end up in the hole and you're not

paying everybody back I thinkin you gonna

get away with something guess what and

nobody's gonna loan you nothing

anything that you buy the rest of your

life is gonna be high price everything

you everything you touch it will be high price

right so you gonna be down a slippery

slope because they raised the interest

rates they gonna raise the interest rates on everything

because you are high-risk and/or

eventually become unbankable and you can

you excuse me have a bank you can even

have a bank so

yeah but becoming unbankable

ain't got nothing to do with nothing

that unbankable mean that you

overdrafted yo checking accounts and

stuff like that he's trying to get money

getting in there and all that's how it

starts but that ain't how it start, thats how it end

most unbankable and borrowing money

ain't got nothing to do with each other that's at two

different thing you have a bank account

still can't borrow money

one ain't got nothing to do with each other
