(light music)

(birds chirping)

Thursday workdays in October were always jam-packed with getting ready for fall,

planting, late summer harvests, and there was always some encounter with bugs,

critters, check it out. The Monday before I found Rene

checking on my weeping acacia tree. Well, it's some insect. We know it's some

insect, right? I washed all that off the other day and now it's more. Everywhere

this is, the branch just dies. I know, they're killing the leaf and the branch. It's

almost like a marshmallow. It's really sticky. It's hard to get off. (Rene) It's like glue.

That's why I said it's like meringue or, or marshmallow. Is there an insect inside

there? (VO) The mystery has not been solved. It's got to be an insect. (Rene) It's like

mucus. Yeah, white mucus, it's gross, and it's killing my tree. But, you don't see a

bug in there, huh? No, but, something is causing this. I know. I cannot find nothing.

See that thing, that brown stuff on my finger? The little, two little spots?

It's brown and black. Okay, like right there, mm-hm. Those two little spots?

Yes. So, it could be that, that little black thing? Mm-hmm.

Here. Something that small

could have made all of that goo? Si. Oh you see it, see something? This little thing

there? Pull it out. I can't, I can't see it. Oh, that thing, that, that little

yellowy kind of thing? Oh that thing. That's not part of the branch? No.

That thing and the white stuff, it's like eggs. (VO) But, after a second spray with just

water, it seems to be mostly gone.

I just want to unveil this. (Erick) See, it's coming, brand new. (Kaye) I know, we'll see

what happens. This has gotta go today. (snip) (VO) It was time to harvest my second and last

Musquee de Maroc pumpkin.

Wow, it's gorgeous. Can you bring it over here in the sun? Very nice. That's amazing.

That's a Musquee de Maroc. It has to be finished. Don't you think? You wanna leave it like

that, or you wanna cut that? Yeah, go ahead and cut it. I think.

Okay, ha, ha, ha. All done. Okay.

All finished. Okay. For the pumpkin, for the..

Halloween. Halloween. No, I'm gonna eat it, ha, ha, ha.

Just put it on your door!

Next, I harvested the last of the beets, cowpeas, tomatoes, and cucumber, while

Linden napped.

These are the last of my fresh cowpeas

and I'm going to cook them together with some chard and beet greens and have peas

and greens in one dish. And Erick cleared out the cowpea vines in the raised bed.

This is the only bed I didn't add wood chips because carrots grow well in

it. Carrots need very sandy, loose soil, with

no clumps, or rocks, to grow straight. So, we go to the trouble once a year to

screen the soil in this bed. Once the soil was screened, the top layer was

misted, then I pressed the edge of a stake down an inch to make a groove for

each row. Planting carrot seed is challenging, because the seeds are so

small. I inoculated my seeds again with Myco Grow and sprinkled them out of the

pack as uniformly as I could. Seeds only need to be lightly covered

with soil 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch deep. We used a quarter inch screen to dust the

compost over the seeds. A screen smaller in diameter would have produced more

accurate results.

Carrot seeds must remain moist for up to 27 days till germination, which is

challenging without irrigation, or rain. We set the drip line back up and the

raccoon protection. These 360° sprinkler heads tend

to create puddles, whereas what you want is an even misting

over the seeds.

So, check out this little pot here. Now, I planted two peanuts in

this pot, and I've got four clocks and this looks like cucumber. Oh goody,

mildew, before it's even made a flower. Next project was to pot up these peanuts

from one gallon to five. You're supposed to mound up peanuts, like potatoes, so I

planted them low in the pot, with a lot of soil and wood chips on top, and some

crushed eggshells for good measure. The volunteer cucumber went into the

green bin within a week. I evaluated this pot and determined the basil was

crowding out the i'itoi onions, so I chopped it back.

At the end of the day, we

planted the Lupine

and the white sage

I bought at Annie's, and brought back in my

backpack on the plane.

So, here's the promised critter, my very pregnant

praying mantis. You saw her before in my flowers video, shot the same day. She's

waiting for prey. I haven't seen her egg sack, but I hope she left it in my garden.

Thank you so much for watching, to the end. Please give me that thumbs up and

share this channel with your friends, and I'll see you in the next video.

Morning! Hey, how you doing?

Good, how are you? Good. Garden looks good. Thank you. That's a squash, it's a pumpkin. It's

called Musquee de Maroc and it's ready to pick.

This one over here is, yeah.

25 Percent Of American Women Are On Meds For Mental Illness - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 2:57.

Around 25 percent of women in America are on medications for mental illness, according

to data from a Medical Expenditure Panel Survey.

Thomas Moore, a senior scientist at the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, and Dr. Donald

Mattison, the chief medical officer at the Canadian consulting company Risk Sciences

International, claim that double the amount of women are on psychiatric drugs than men.

Live Science reports: Psychiatric drug use differed among adults of different ages, sex

and race, the researchers found.

For example, nearly 21 percent of white adults reported taking a psychiatric drug, compared

with less than 9 percent of Hispanic adults, according to the report.

Older adults also reported a higher rate of psychiatric drug use.

One-quarter of adults ages 60 to 85 reported taking at least one of these drugs, compared

with less than 10 percent of adults ages 18 to 39, the researchers found.

In addition, nearly twice as many women as men reported taking psychiatric drugs: 21

percent compared with 12 percent, according to the report.

POPULAR PRESCRIPTIONS

Two antidepressants topped the list for the most commonly used psychiatric drugs: sertraline

hydrochloride, which goes by the brand name Zoloft, and citalopram hydrobromide, or Celexa.

Alprazolam, or Xanax, was the most common drug from the sedative, hypnotic and anti-anxiety

category, the study said.

This medication was the third most common psychiatric drug overall, following Zoloft

and Celexa, according to the report.

Other leading drugs included Ambien, which is a hypnotic sleeping pill, and the antidepressants

Prozac and Desyrel, the report said.

The researchers noted that because the survey data included information on only a single

year, it was difficult to determine how long people had been prescribed different psychiatric

drugs.

However, more than eight in 10 adults who were taking psychiatric drugs reported long-term

use, the researchers wrote.

For antidepressants, there is limited information available about how long an individual should

stay on the drug, Moore and Mattison wrote.

For certain drugs in the sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic category, however, people can

become dependent, the researchers noted.

To improve the safety of psychiatric drugs, Moore and Mattison suggested increasing the

emphasis on prescribing these medications at the lowest effective dose and continually

re-assessing the need to keep individuals on the drugs.

Dil Buffering | Swipe Right 4 Mr Right | Episode 7 - Duration: 13:06.

"Dil Buffering."

'Oh! What are the chances? After so many years...'

'Who would have thought that we will run into each other?'

'Even after all these years, you seem to have a crush on me.'

'Well, I never hid that from you.'

'What's your excuse for swiping right?'

'I am guilty of curiosity.'

'Can I call you?'

'No, let's meet today.'

Can we have strawberry in the middle? - What? Sure.

Ya! I mean, of course.

I bake. You decide. Ya!

On second thoughts... - Yes?

Let the strawberry be on the side.

Suddenly, too pink. - Ya, too pink.

But strawberries are pink anyway.

No, I meant your face.

'5:30 okay?'

'Address I'll send.'

'What the hell, Abby! When are you coming home?'

Why would I come home? - To change, obviously.'

'You can't meet Dhruv in your baking clothes.'

Listen, it's not like I'm dressed like a cake or something...

And I'm not going to be meeting him for the first time.

He knows what I look like. Plus, it's a working day.

I don't have time to change.

'Who goes on a date like that?'

'I think your hormones have got baked ever since you started baking!'

You never make any sense. And it's not like date... date. Okay?

It's more like two old friends catching up together.

'You know what? You were born to be friend-zoned! Bye.'

Hi, how are you? - I'm...

Hi, I hope this will be smoother next time.

Hopefully. - Please.

So, Abby. Three years! - Yes.

I don't know where to start, but I'll start anyway.

You look nice. - Thank you, and...

You look amazing!

I mean, not that you didn't earlier, but...

Well, sweating it out at the gym proved fruitful.

By the way, it might sound weird,

but you're smelling really nice. Like a cake!

I don't mind that actually, because that is what I do.

Don't tell me! You left marketing for baking.

Wow! I've always loved your guts.

Oh! - Did you place an order already?

Let's just say, I was here early.

By the way, cold coffee, no sugar.

I hope your favourite drink hasn't changed.

Some things don't change, do they?

So, Mr Dhruv, Tinder?

I had only just created my profile

and, lo and behold, there you were!

Yes, as soon as I go home, the first thing I'm going to do is write a thank you note to them

So, how does all this work?

This is my first time.

Like, any interesting experiences?

I mean, if it's not too personal...

Yes, it's so personal that as soon as I saw your picture last night, I did a little dance.

I dropped everything and I landed up here.

Where are you nowadays, anyway?

I tried searching for you on the Internet, but I couldn't find you.

Still in marketing.

Nowadays, I work in this Singapore based MNC.

So, I travel a lot. And honestly,

after we drifted apart,

I kind of

went inside my shell.

It wasn't a good space, really.

Then, finally, I got this new job and I'm really happy.

And ya, I started playing drums again.

Wow! Now,

that's quite a journey. - Oh no! Solo trip.

Oh! So... Single... Ready to mingle?

I don't know, Abby. I'm also very finicky nowadays.

Oh please! You were never picky.

So, tell me about you, Abs. How's life treating you?

Life's treating me very well.

I mean, just like yours. I mean, I don't work for any MNC.

But ya! Gymming, sports, chilling with people,

getting drunk with strangers, partying with hippies...

Wow, Abby! Not bad! - None of that!

It feels so good to see you, man.

Same here.

Abby.

Abby! - Yes?

Tell me. - What?

Tell me about your date!

Okay, forget about the other details. Just tell me about the kiss.

Hey, weren't you saying that I was born to be just friend-zoned?

How can I kiss?

That means there was a kiss!

How was it?

How was it, Abby? French kiss?

I'm not giving you the details.

Tell me about it, Abby. Please!

Shut up. - Abby!

Quiet!

By the way, Saks. The profile you created for me?

Thank you so much for that.

I'll return your favour with interest.

Oh no, Abby.

You're my big sis!

Yes. - You're forgiven!

By the way...

Yes? - I broke your silver stilettos last week.

You can adjust this against that.

What the hell! - What the hell.

Mom! - Mom.

What was that for?

What is any picture for, Abby? To treasure a moment,

so that I can relive it all my life.

Where is this going?

We've been meeting daily since the past four days.

We meet before work, during my lunch break,

after dinner. We text non-stop.

And today...We're spending the entire day together. I mean...

Yes. When you say it like that, it does sound serious.

Is it serious?

You know what, Abby?

You should ask yourself that question.

And

this time you better answer it,

because I'm dying to know what's next.

Okay, don't get that serious. Have some popcorn.

When is it the right time, Abby?

Right time for what? - For telling me about that boy.

I'm going to get Sakshi for this.

Okay, tell me, what has she told you about this boy.

I'll deal with Sakshi in due time.

First, I want to know what you have been up to.

You aren't going crazy with work these days.

You're chatting on your phone more than Sakshi.

You've been humming the same song for the last three days.

So, tell me. Are you serious?

Maybe. - That's enough for me.

Who is he? What does he do? Where did you meet? Tell me!

You're behaving like Sakshi now.

So, his name is Dhruv. - Dhruv.

We were interns at the same workplace. We would work together... Chill together.

We used to hang out and developed feelings for each other.

And then? - I don't know, mom.

They're feelings... They fizzled out. It's been so long.

And I was very confused then.

Abby was a little confused and I was a littl impatient.

She wanted to go with the flow

and I kept obstructing that flow like a cement block.

Well then, she went with the flow

and I was devastated in the process.

Nothing like that happened, Dhruv.

In fact, you wanted some stablity in our relationship at that time.

And at that time, I didn't realise how important that was.

We were both at fault. - Wow!

What a philosophical couple!

So, a few back we just reconnected again.

And here we are!

By the way, I'm not here to see Abby, today. I'm here to see you.

I'm eating a home-cooked meal after years.

Well, if you ever crave for a home-cooked meal again,

you don't have to wait for years. Just come on over.

What are you doing here?

If I was in your place,

I would totally be playing footsie right now.

Shut up.

Why is my counter closed?

Where are all the pastries I baked this morning?

Did you tell Subhash to close my counter?

Answer me first.

Gaurav, for once in life, stop ignoring!

I am your partner and you can't just close my counter like that!

You know what! This is called bullying!

Bullying?

For the last week, my on-and-off pastry chef,

who is supposedly my business partner,

arrives, bakes cupcakes and leaves.

You know the thing is, I'm not really a counter-boy.

I don't believe this.

If it was such a problem to man my counter

because your big fat ego, was coming in between, you should have just told me!

How difficult is it to communicate?

Let's just say, I'm not used to working with school children...

Giving them lectures on responsibility.

School children? Like really?

Lecturing me on responsibility! Anyway...

He's an arrogant jerk.

So, what can I get you today?

Her! I mean, I had business to discuss with her.

Gaurav, meet Dhruv. He's my old...

We've known each other for a long time.

Dhruv, meet Gaurav. He's the owner of this café.

Hi, nice to meet you. - Hi.

So, I guess I'll leave you two old

friends to yourself then.

Hi. - Hi.

Good to see you here, but what brings you here?

I have never seen Abby, the baker. I thought I would today.

Okay.

By the way, I just had a brainwave last night.

So, I thought I'll meet you and discuss it.

No, don't worry. I'm not proposing marriage.

I know! I mean... Of course, come on.

Actually, I was just thinking...

Why don't the two of us

like... Take a weekend off?

Just a quick trip to Goa.

Aren't things moving a bit too fast?

I mean how long has it been since we met? Just 19 days.

Yes, he did say he won't pop the question of marriage,

but still...

I guess I'm the one who is overreacting.

Wait!

'Hello. Thank you for calling Yours Romantic Ali.'

Hi, RJ Ali. It's...

That girl... You remember?

I called you a fraud and said you give your intern all your dirty work.

Hey, mystery girl.

You were very angry when you called the first time.

But now, for all I know, she's in love again.

What will it be, mystery girl?

What made you think of me?

Actually, I need your help.

'Ouch! What the hell, Abby!'

'You can't check my things like this, okay! It's private.'

'Just shut up!'

'There's no difference between you and that Vicky!'

'Thank you for doing this to me'

'because I've realised today that I shouldn't trust any one!'

'Not even your own sister!'

'Looks like somebody needs to talk.'

'Coffee is one of the best things in the world.'

'I know.'

'So, let's talk.'
