Spring-Back Pedestrian Crosswalk Signs

are used at pedestrian crossings

not controlled by permanently installed traffic signals.

They help make crosswalks significantly more visible to vehicular traffic,

and decrease the chances of a potentially deadly pedestrian accident.

MUTCD compliant, two-sided Crosswalk Signs

are most effective on two lane, low-speed streets.

They can either be permanently installed in the roadway itself,

or mounted to a portable base

that will allow the sign to be moved into, and out of the street, as needed.

The Diamond Grade reflective surface stands out during the day,

and is visible from up to 1,500 feet away at night

Crosswalk Signs are to be placed either on the roadway's center line,

on a lane line,

or on a raised median or pedestrian refuge island.

They should NEVER be placed directly in the crosswalk itself,

as they will obstruct the pedestrian path of travel.

Crosswalk Signs NOT installed on raised medians or pedestrian refuge islands,

must be able to bend when struck,

and spring back upright again on their own.

This flexibility will help minimize impact damage to vehicles

as well as potential injuries to pedestrians.

Crosswalk Signs are worded in one of two ways…

either "Stop for Pedestrians"

or "Yield to Pedestrians".

Make sure to consult the traffic laws of your state

to determine whether a "Stop For…" or a "Yield To…" crosswalk sign

is compliant with the law in your area.

HURT (Nine Inch Nails / Johnny Cash cover) - Duration: 4:06.

I hurt myself today

To see if I still feel

I focus on the pain

The only thing that's real

The needle tears a hole

The old familiar sting

I try to kill it all away

But I remember everything

What have I become ?

My sweetest mate

Everyone I know goes away

In the end..

And you could have it all

My empire of dirt

I will let you down

I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of sh*t

Upon my liar's chair

Full of broken thoughts

I can not repair..

Beneath the stains of time

The feelings disappear

You are someone else

I am still right here..

What have I become ?

My sweetest mate

Everyone I know goes away

In the end..

And you could have it all

My empire of dirt

I will let you down

I will make you hurt

If I could start again

A million miles away

I would keep myself

I would find a way..

Thank you.

Zhou Youguang Biography - Duration: 1:43.

Zhou Youguang marked by Google Doodle – Do You Know why the Chinese linguist Zhou Youguang

is being celebrated on his 112th birthday.

Zhou Youguang developed a Romanized linguistic system for Mandarin Chinese that was adopted

as the official language of the People's Republic of China in 1958.

ZHOU Youguang was a Chinese linguist credited with formulating a new phoenetic alphabet

to help translate Chinese to Romanized Western languages like English.

He died last year on the day after his 111th birthday - making today what would have been

his 112th.

Here's why he is being celebrated with a Google Doodle.

Zhou Youguang was a Chinese economist, banker, linguist, sinologist and publisher known as

the "father of Pinyin".

The system was developed to help with the Romanization of Mandarin Chinese which was

then officially adopted by the Communist Chinese government in 1958.

Zhou said the task took about three years, and was a full-time job.

Google has marked his accomplishment with a Doodle on what would have been his 112th

birthday.

It wrote: "Pursuing his love of language throughout his life, Youguang authored more than 40 books

and translated the Encyclopedia Britannica into Chinese.

"Born on this day as Zhou Yaoping, this storied linguist later adopted the pen name 'Yougang'

because he wanted to 'bring light' to the world.

"Today, we celebrate what would've been Yougang's 112th birthday with a special

place in the spotlight."

Late-Night Comedians Won't Stop Bashing Trump, So Jay Leno Gives Them Brutal Reality Check - Duration: 3:52.

Gone are the days when comedians put laughs above politics.

Nowadays, every late-night television host seems to be the same breed of a one-trick

pony, and bashing President Donald Trump is their only calling card.

Well, Jay Leno has something to say about that.

He didn't hold back either, dishing out a brutal reality check that his colleagues

sorely needed to hear.

Leno was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter this week, and he shared an unexpected perspective

on all of the Trump-bashing going on between current late-night television hosts.

Their jokes are "depressing," he said, and not funny at all, considering there's

no originality.

It's been almost four years since Jay Leno signed off of NBC's The Tonight Show, and

to hear the former late-night staple tell it, he doesn't miss having that platform.

Currently the host of CNBC docuseries Jay Leno's Garage, the car enthusiast is still

an avid consumer of late-night fare, watching his Tonight Show successor Jimmy Fallon and

NBC's Late Night With Seth Meyers as well as ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live and CBS' The

Late Show With Stephen Colbert, among others.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Leno at the Television Critics Association's

winter press tour, where he appeared Tuesday night to support Garage, to get his thoughts

on how late-night hosts are covering President Donald Trump, if he misses having a platform

and if, like David Letterman, he'd want to return to the desk for a streaming show.

[Source: The Hollywood Reporter]

"Late-night has always been pretty topical.

The only trouble is now everyone has the same topic.

It's all depressing Trump stuff," said Leno.

"Now, it's all anti-women, anti-LGBT, anti-Muslim, anti-Mexican, anti-Salvadoran;

it's such a negative thing," he continued.

"God bless all the late-night hosts, they make it funny, but ultimately, it's depressing,"

he added.

"You don't really watch late-night TV to get away from reality anymore; now it's

more in your face.

You laugh but then you go to bed going, 'Oh man, the world is really pretty rough.'"

Now, mind you, Leno is no fan of President Donald Trump.

In fact, he's one of the president's fiercest critics.

The rest of his interview was chock-full of anti-Trump references and support for pussy

hat-wearing feminists.

If Leno thinks all of the late-night Trump-bashing is depressing, it's safe to say that it's

gotten out of hand.

Seth Meyers' opening monologue at the Golden Globes last weekend was no exception, and

it proves as much:

Someone in the industry who has taken a different approach is Roseanne Barr, who not only supports

President Donald Trump but portrays a Trump supporter on television, as well.

Roseanne Barr defended her support for President Trump and her choice to make her sitcom character

a Trump supporter in the upcoming "Roseanne" revival heading to ABC in March.

Barr said making her sitcom counterpart a Trump supporter made sense for the show about

a working-class American family.

[Source: Fox News]

"It's just realistic," said Barr.

"I have always … attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people

and working class people.

And, in fact, it was working class people that elected Trump so I felt that was very

real and something that needed to be discussed," she added.

"I think it was time for us, as a country, to shake things up and try something different,"

she said of electing Trump.

"He says a lot of crazy sh*t but I mean…

I'm not a Trump apologist."

Perhaps comedians like Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon ought to take a lesson from Roseanne

Barr instead of alienating millions of their viewers.

They will never leave the legacy that comedians like Jay Leno and Johnny Carson did, and they'll

have their own political bias to blame.

THE FUNNIEST VIDEO

When a real British ninja knows that the odds are stacked in the enemy's favor,

he would almost certainly resort to the time-tested tactic of tactical retreat.

His badly damaged Cromwell is no match for two German panzers tailing him,

with nothing left to defend himself with but his wits and some smoke grenades.

But even with such a limited arsenal at his disposal,

he manages to play a dangerous gambit and pull off an amazing disappearing act.

Just like in the movies, the foes are left puzzled and confused,

as to where could the lone hero have gone.

Turns out, the've been following him the entire time.

The tricky tea-loving tanker vanishes into one of the narrow alleyways,

once the enemy was looking the other way.

THE BEST FAIL

The map of Tunisia has fewer decorative elements, than other, greener maps,

with most of its man-made structures located in the town at the western side of the map.

The middle of the map has just a few tents and some wooden towers and such.

Nevertheless, the commander of this British SPAAG

decided to introduce some variety to the otherwise barren desert landscape.

Come to think of it, so many GAZ trucks were lost in that desert,

it's amazing that their wrecks are not scattered across the entire map, actually.

But alas, the hopes of the royal ack-acker did not come to pass, as the cannon-toting GAZ

turned out to be a player-drive vehicle, not some map decor

and opened fire into the naive opponent, as soon, as he got the opportunity.

THE MOST EPIC VIDEO

The so-called Schräge Musik weapons are not so easy to use in combat,

with only one of the several attacks being successful, in average, at least.

The maker of this clip had no way of aiming his weapons at the enemy Cobra chasing him.

The enemy fighter quickly took out the heavier German aircraft

and was about to go away, after more targets.

Or, it tried, at least.

Looks like the Cobra was absolutely certain that the now-floating enemy plane

has no way of harming it now, as it flew above.

But once it did, it aligned itself with the upward-facing autocannons,

which were originally intended to be used versus much heavier aircraft, such as strategic bombers.

Just one short pull of the trigger was enough to pulverize the much smaller fighter

as the German crew swims back to its hangar content with revenge served cold.

BREAKING NEWS!! Liberals Turn On Oprah, Say She's Part of the Problem! - Duration: 4:04.

Few political careers are launched in earnest at the Golden Globes, but such is the weightlessness

and superficiality of the nascent Oprah Winfrey "campaign" that she apparently decided

to use an awards show to dip a toe, as it were, in the swift-moving waters of the 2020

presidential race.

As a rapt audience of Hollywood stars — many of whom, including former friends and colleagues

of Harvey Weinstein who claimed they knew nothing of his rapaciousness, were dressed

in black in protest of sexual harassers like… well, Harvey Weinstein — listened to Oprah's

glib compendium of facile liberal bromides, the media knew they, at long last, had a presumptive

challenger they could start hyping against President Trump.

However, as the media has begun to line up en masse behind The Oprah and whatever weird

she might be running, some liberal entertainment stars aren't buying it.

In fact, one famous singer is saying that Oprah isn't the solution, but rather "part

of the problem."

In an Instagram post, British R&B singer Seal — best known for singles like "Kiss from

a Rose" and "Crazy" — criticized Oprah for her relationship with disgraced Hollywood

mogul Harvey Weinstein.

The post showed two pictures of Oprah with Weinstein and read, "When you have been

part of the problem for decades but suddenly they all think they're part of the solution."

"Oh I forgot, that's right…..you'd heard the rumours but you had no idea he was

actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed (sic) actresses who in turn had no idea what

they were getting into," the post read.

"My bad."

The post was topped off with the hashtag "#SanctimoniousHollywood."

Seal wasn't the only entertainment figure willing to criticize The Oprah in the wake

of her speech, although nothing was quite as blunt as the English singer's appraisal.

Seth MacFarlane, creator of "Family Guy" and "Ted", said that Oprah's celebrity

ought to disqualify her.

"Oprah is beyond doubt a magnificent orator," MacFarlane tweeted.

"But the idea of a reality show star running against a talk show host is troublingly dystopian.

We don't want to create a world where dedicated public service careers become undesirable

and impractical in the face of raw celebrity."

Of course, there's quite a bit of irony there, as MacFarlane's beloved Democrats

having long been the party of "raw celebrity."

Whether it's their tendency to lean on Hollywood and other tendrils of the entertainment industry

or the cult of celebrity that they've developed around the Obamas, Kennedys and Clintons,

the American left has long prostrated itself at the feet of stardom.

In fact, that's the only reason Oprah's being taken seriously.

Unlike President Trump, who had demonstrated a serious interest in politics long before

he decided to run and had specific, definable policy positions, Oprah has only sporadically

touched on politics in a vague and ill-defined way, and her speech Sunday was a masterpiece

of saying absolutely bloody nothing while sounding profoundly grandiloquent whilst she

did it.

If Oprah wants to be a candidate, that's what she's going to have to challenge — the

fact that she appears to want to run on nothingburger platitudes without any real bona fides.

Policy ideas?

Let's see them.

Business acumen?

For all of her wealth, her biggest project — her network, OWN — has mostly been an

unmitigated disaster.

Moral gravitas?

Take another close look at the pictures above.

What's left to offer America?

Her celebrity, mostly.

She's The Oprah — and to a lot of liberals transfixed by her speech, that's more than

enough.

Even Hollywood knows an empty shell when it sees one, and Oprah's potential candidacy

certainly fits that bill.

Next time she gets up on stage and waxes oratorical about her vision of America, let's hope

she offers real solutions and real answers to why she remained silent on Harvey Weinstein.

Else, we're going to see a lot more Hollywood stars waking up to just how vacuous this ersatz

"movement" really is.

Favorite Games For The Platforms You Owned | Community Question | Backlog Battle - Duration: 11:31.

Hello everybody and welcome to this week's Community Question!

My name is Alex and I want to sincerely thank all of you for the amazing responses that

we got in for last week's question and I'm doubly looking forward to seeing the answers

you all come up with for the question this week.

But before we get into that, I said last week that I'm going to be reading and replying

to all your answers from last week on each video.

For the people who missed it, last week's question was, "Name any game or games that

you replay."

Got it?

Ok… let's get right to the answers!

Nauto-Ace-211-EX writes: Samurai Warriors 2 during the PS2-Era, then

Super Mario Bros. 3 via virtual console on my 3DS, and currently, Neptunia: Re-Birth,

which he says he's grinding beyond level 99.

I know that Nauto's a huge fan of Neptunia, so that's really awesome that he's still

replaying that game, but I'm really curious as to Samurai Warriors 2.

That's a very specific pick!

Though his pick of Super Mario Bros. 3 is something I can relate.

It's probably my favorite 2D Mario game out of the bunch!

The Justin Show writes: Uncharted franchise, Alan Wake, and Red Dead

Redemption are my usual ones.

I'll always happily go back to any of the Uncharted games to replay.

In fact, I did that over the past year, finishing both the first and second Uncharted!

Alan Wake's a great game, but sadly, I'd have to procure a new Xbox 360 to be able

to play that… not to mention the game, so there's that!

And as far as Red Dead Redemption is concerned, I'm not surprised Justin put this in his

list: He loves western games.

I'll readily admit though that I stopped playing the game once I reached the "Mexico"

part.

But hey, that's what a backlog is all about right?

TokenGeek writes: I'm playing through Super Metroid and The

Last of Us for the 4th or 5th time each.

They're always ones I find myself coming back to.

Super Metroid is one of my favorite Super Nintendo games of all time!

Who can ever forget that amazing opening?

And I commend you for being able to go back to The Last of Us.

It's a fantastic game, but not a terribly pleasant one in terms of the emotions and

feels it evokes.

It always tugs at my heartstrings every single time I think of playing it.

But hey, I still have the Remastered version, hoping someday I'll come back to it!

Sagacyte writes: Well, I constantly play Destiny 2 or Final

Fantasy XIV but those are "modern" games.

If we're talking about old games, I would say SimCity 4 or, to follow a good example,

both Megaman games you mentioned.

I am actually replaying 2!

I don't like putting hard rules onto these questions because I'd like you to interpret

it how you wish, so any answer - as long as it's true to yourself - is a good answer!

So Destiny 2 and Final Fantasy XIV definitely counts!

Also, we talked a little in the comments about why Saga likes SimCity 4 and he said that

it was his first SimCity game.

Saga, you gotta check out Cities Skylines.

I promise you'll like it!

And good luck with your replay of Mega Man 2!

Bufudyne writes: One game I seem to return to often is Resident

Evil 2.

It was a game that somehow helped me cope with the grief of losing someone.

I had support from family and friends of course, but on my own I didn't have time to be depressed

when I was too busy figuring out where I needed to go in the Racoon Police Station and trying

to survive till the end of the game.

It might sound morbid, but the fear and excitement that comes from a survival-horror game does

a lot for me whenever I'm feeling down, because it immerses me in a way that I can

let go of any pain and anxieties I have.

It's become a specific game for a specific mood, but one that does the job very well

for me which I can return to whenever I need it.

I remember responding to Bufudyne's comment and telling them how touched I was with their

response.

I didn't say this in the comments, but the act of playing video games is special to me

and something that I feel makes me closer to my dad.

You see my parents were divorced, and I didn't see my dad until I was 9 or 10 years old.

My dad introduced me to console games when I was a kid.

He took me to this small place that allowed us to rent FamiComs and had a blast playing

through Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.

As a surprise, he bought me a FamiCom after finishing our rental and got me a copy of

Jaleco's Exerion.

And while the game never actually ended, I was happy to call this FamiCom my own.

So aside from the feelings that games evoke, I feel that playing games let's me be close

to my dad.

'Love you Pa!

Shortstacks0 writes: Weirdly, I think only things like Diablo and

Overwatch count for me as replay.

Everything else is picked back up on a random whim, and certainly not on a regular cadence.

These are games that actually call for coming back, and feel like I never left.

Even with balance changes or new classes, it still feels so familiar.

Anything else takes a while to remember.

Getting in and out of certain video games is like trying to jump onto a moving train

after it's left the station.

Especially if you leave a playthrough mid-way, only to return to it not knowing how the controls

work or what you're even doing!

Diablo and Overwatch are super fun games, so those are great choices!

Maybe I'll hit up one of our community members and see if they'll be up to playing some

Overwatch sometime…

I miss playing that game!

Black Metal Gamer writes: Every year, I replay Dark Souls 1, Super Mario

Bros. 3 ('cause its the best of the 2D era), Resident Evil 1 Remake, Resident Evil 4, and

Mike Tyson's Punch Out - 'cause it's always held up so good and it's always fun.

In the comments, Black Metal Gamer and I talked at length about Super Mario Bros. 3, and even

a little bit about Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.

To me, Mr. Dream never happened - even though it did - and Mike Tyson will always be the

last boss of the Punch-Out series for me.

I also kinda wish I was good at Dark Souls…

I've expressed it before in the podcast, but I'm terrible at them!

But that hasn't stopped my hope of eventually "getting the gameplay" and progressing

through Bloodborne significantly.

Yea, they're different games technically, but they're similar.

At least I got to Father Gascoigne this year.

Maybe next year I'll actually beat him?

Stefan Homberger writes: I replay Final Fantasy IX every 2-3 years

and come back to SSX Tricky, Tekken Tag Tournament, StarCraft, The House of the Dead (1 or 2)

and both Bushido Blade games at least once a year.

This is quite the list of games!

I tried replaying through Final Fantasy IX last year, but given that I have the attention

span of a squirrel, I left it alone after jumping onto another game.

I remember loving it still and looked forward to actually playing more of it!

SSX Tricky is my favorite game in the franchise, and I feel the gameplay was at its peak in

that iteration!

Talking about House of the Dead 1 and 2 just reminds me that I have Typing of the Dead

Overkill on PC and that I should beat it.

For the record, I did beat the original Typing of the Dead - both on Dreamcast and PC!

Great list of games, Stefan!

Makes me wonder what you're playing *now*...

Xander Skullion writes: Every Christmas, I play Super Mario World

from beginning to end.

It's a game I always come back to.

Now do you 100% the game and go to Star Road?

If you do, that's damn impressive!

I've only really played through that game once, but maybe I should consider picking

it up before the Wii eShop permanently disappears in March…

BioPhoenix writes: Donkey Kong Country, probably since it was

the first game I ever played.

But man, that game is so much fun and revisiting all the levels and hearing all the music always

makes me happy.

Tecmo's Deception is the other game.

It's kindof a weird one, but again it was another early game I played and I just loved

messing around with all the different traps and I love the concept of the game.

I know the other games have a lot more added, but this one still holds a special place to

me.

Donkey Kong Country's graphics blew my mind as a kid, and imagining BioPhoenix's reaction

as he played his first video game, it must've been truly magical!

Though it is interesting that, around the same time, he got into Tecmo's Deception.

No two games can be more contrasting as a Nintendo platformer and a game where you set

traps to ensnare unwanted guests in your castle.

Maybe Bowser should've hired the protagonist of Tecmo's Deception to set up traps in

his castle...

And that's all we managed to get in this video!

Alrighty!

For this week's Community Question, we venture away from YouTube and onto Twitter.

I found this question so intriguing that I thought of answering it at the time - but

didn't - and wanted to ask you all the question instead because it sounded so much fun!

Ready?

Here it goes: What are your favorite games for the platforms

you owned?

For the purpose of this video, it doesn't matter if you didn't own the original platform.

Maybe you rented it.

Maybe you played it on a different platform on Virtual Console or whatever.

Those all count.

And answer as best as you can, as the following week's question is going to use your answers

to this one!

While you're figuring out what to respond to this question, let me give you my answers.

Keep in mind that my feelings about these choices really vary from day to day, as do

yours - so just go with your gut for your answers and don't overthink it, ok?
