hello everyone this is the Lego Marvel superheroes rhino face-off by the mine a
very casually titled set from the live-action Black Panther movie the
armored rhino itself is pretty cool a pretty cool build makes good use of
those the force awakens lugga beasts legs does use a lot of stickers though
and those stickers are pretty important I think without those on it does not
look nearly as good especially with the head armor in there that's that's pretty
critical if you're gonna put any stickers on them make sure you put the
ones on the head but I think the head is shaped up pretty well just using the the
pieces themselves I especially like the ears there
the ears are pretty perfect with those little quarter round tile pieces now you
can bring the head up just basically to level which is fine and you can bring it
down you can also rotate the whole thing at the same time that gets you kind of
realistic ranges of motion for the head I'd say there's no opening mouth for
this one but I think that's fine and the legs are just able to go forward and
back well stubby tail this is funny looking but like it's it's a fine build
the color scheme looks pretty cool I'm not sure how accurate that's going to be
but I think it's it's more than good enough I'm not sure about the harness
how that's set up there to kind of control it like a quad ATV like those
are a neural bars but oh I think it's okay you can put another figure back
here easily get even have three on there if you want I've got a couple of stud
shooters up here which you know take them or leave them I think they look I
think they look fine just as they are I take the studs out
becomes even less obvious if you don't like the look of that there yeah this is
this is pretty well done it would be maybe nicer if there was more that you
could do with it but it's mostly just kind of a vehicle for imaginative play
and in that way I think they've done a good job with it I'd like to see a whole
series of Lego animals that are done two minifigs scale or I mean this is bigger
than minifig many big scale but you know to work with minifigs
kind of like this because it like it's a good basic toy even though
it is fairly fairly involved build for something that just has legs that move
forward and back and a head that doesn't do too much this though I don't know
about this this vibranium mine cart with just the
slightest little bit of track they just have two of the shortest sections of
that awesome new track the new track system that's going to be used for
rollercoasters has already been used for one but there's not all that much you
can do with this either because you can just make it go forward and back that
far and that's it this minecart looks pretty cool this is a nice use of the
black colored Power Suit Nexo Knights Power Suit chest pieces they have some
interesting shape there and this is a side tipper unit kind of hopper here so
all of this can rotate to the side and look how it kind of pushes the ends out
of the way when that happens so that's kind of cool and then you just have
these 1 by 2 plates yeah it doesn't even dump all the way what's up with that
supposed to dump off to the side those are representing bits of vibranium or
that have been brought up but this thing has such a short wheelbase that it is
not stable at all front to back you want to be able to knock it off you want to
be able to hit it with the rhino or you know with other things for a message to
play we'll see how the the full scene actually works out but I mean just as a
thing to play with you want to be able to knock it off but this kind of feels
weird going front to back even if you get more of these track pieces I don't
know I just I just don't know about they actually have a an action feature built
into this so that you can imagine going down this long length of track ok you're
done and you can get to the end you push here and just knocks the thing off
that's fine and it looks pretty good as well I think this is supposed to be in
the inside of the mine where you know you're actually getting the vibranium
from it's the translucent pieces or transparent pieces but I don't know
there's just not that much you can do with this it's it's cool to look at it
feels like a tease to me like I want more of this I want especially more of
the track and that's my own personal bias I really love this
track I love this track system I want lots and lots of this track but that's
what you want to do with something that's on a track you want to go
somewhere with it and this just isn't set up to really do that I think that
you get most of the or the the maximum amount of play value out of this by
taking this off the track entirely and they just imagine that you have a lot
more track and just roll it around you can put somebody in there and you know
and do the Indiana Indiana Jones thing if you want but nice looking thing not
the most stable not the most playable at all but these two figures though oh oh
yes Black Panther got some upgrades just
bring in the one from me the Talon fighter set just for the sake of
comparison you've got that same we've kind of pattern underneath but he's just
fully all closed up he's got energy just coursing through them and that metallic
blue color really is striking but you know what between these two kill monger
over on on the right there looks more interesting to me looks more cool looks
more I don't know like more of a mature design like there it's more refined and
of course more mean and evil looking that's a little bit to the cool factor
as well but both of these really good-looking it's a little bit of a
shame to me that they weren't able to bring any of that that black on black
that little bit of weave a little bit of texture in there down into at least the
hips I mean it would be ideal to get it down into the legs as well just a little
bit to be seen here as well look at that this is the very slight little bit in
between the muscle definition so you can kind of see that from some angles it's
more obvious on black panther though it I'm okay with that that texture not
coming into the legs would have been great to get into the legs as well but
needed it at least into the hips just to show that it doesn't suddenly stop again
between the two I'm gonna have to go for kill monger just a better looking figure
to me but both of these together as you know as as opponents gosh they are
pretty awesome to me very striking and then okay here
has a great torso print as well with the really fine detailing and nice shaping
around the ends of individual painted on printed on elements you know it's not
just rectangular blocks with circular blocks just interesting fine shaping
some more fairly fairly subtle printing in there as well and I think a good face
I think that the face actually matches the actress pretty well and it's generic
enough to be usable for other things for making your own custom figures I think
it's just a really good face to add to the Gallego library there's there's no
print on the back naturally for that that head but another great torso print
on the on the back of this one once again a little bit of a shame that they
weren't able to bring any print into the hips whatsoever just to create a little
bit of transition just even just a little bit at the top I think would have
would have done quite nicely and that's the case for a lot of figures I think
that have really finely detailed torsos and nothing or at least not much going
on down at the legs but yeah just a little something to to create a little
less of an abrupt transition between those two would have been nice I just
feel like the minecart and track section of this set has so little play value
that it's almost a shame that it's there at all I almost wish they had just left
that out entirely or maybe had just the cart on on small little tires or
something and then gave you some little clumps of the terrain from inside of the
mine or maybe this archway you know just this track it costs so much because
these are larger specialized pieces I know they add a lot to the price the
price of the set on the whole I think that you know they could have put that
same amount of budget into something more interesting maybe use some stuff
that you could knock over as well you know terrain stuff you could knock over
or some places where you could actually mine up some some vibranium which these
NP aren't really set up for but beyond that
again the the Rhino the armored rhino itself is pretty awesome as a as a build
it's perfectly good to play with and those figures are great let me know in
the comments if you'd be so kind what you think about the minecart and the
track segment here what do you think about its inclusion am I missing
something I'm sure that there are some different
opinions so I would really especially appreciate hearing from different people
about that in particular of course feel free to give your thoughts on anything
