Rocket Science 11 - Supersonic & Max speed - Duration: 5:13.

Hey Guys, HalfwayDead here. This video is very important to me because I don't know

any other topic where people will claim all kinds of things with the authority of an expert,

while being completely wrong. So if you see one of those cases then please link them this

video.

Alright first, let's get some facts straight. Supersonic speed is everything above 2200

uu/s. That's when your car starts getting the trails, your FOV expands an extra 5°

and you get those windy particle animations. It's also the required speed for demolitions.

But! It is not the maximum speed of the car. The maximum speed is 2300 uu/s so about 4.5%

faster. It's not going to make a difference in a lot of scenarios but if you're trying

to get to the ball as fast as possible every little bit counts. That's why it is kind of

unfortunate that there is no way to know how close you are to max speed. The best way to

be at guaranteed max speed is to tap your boost for an additional 1/10th of a second

after you hit supersonic. That is enough to get from 2200 uu/s to 2300 uu/s. Whenever

you activate boost it will be on for at least 13 physics frames. The game runs with 120

ticks per second so a very short tap will suffice to reach maximum speed.

Now to tackle one topic where I see a lot of misconceptions. As long as you're holding

"Drive forward" or "Powerslide" and you keep driving in a straight line you will not lose

any speed. This is true at any speed. However as soon as you turn, your speed will slow

down. The only way to make sure it's always as high as possible is to constantly boost

but that will also waste a lot of boost. So I've experimentally determined how you can

stay the fastest speed possible without wasting any boost. This depends on the car preset

because some will lose speed faster than others when turning. For the Breakout you will need

to tap boost every 24th physics tick. For the Dominus it's every 27th and all other

presets require every 26th. If you want to practice this you can download any metronome

app for your phone and set it to the bpm value of the preset you're using. When done perfectly,

this technique will keep you at an average speed of over 2270 uu/s without wasting any

boost. Just holding it will keep you at 2300 but it will use about twice as much boost.

Staying at maximum speed while turning isn't the fastest way to do U-turns though. Just

keep that in mind when playing.

Ok, that covers the ground mechanics but I still haven't gotten to the point which I

see people get wrong very frequently. And that is about exceeding the max speed. It

is not a limit of the boost or the engine. It is an absolute hard cap. That means you

can never ever under any circumstance go faster than 2300 uu/s. Not with bumping, dodging,

wavedashing or anything. And yes, I am 100% sure about this. Let's take a look at what

happens if the car is already at max speed and it get's accelerated further. In this

example the car has a horizontal velocity of 2300 uu/s and a vertical velocity of 0

uu/s but now gravity accelerates the car downwards with 650 uu/s². I'm going to calculate this

as if the physics engine was using just 1 tick per second because it gives more interesting

numbers. Therefore, for our 2nd timestep the vertical component should increase by 650

uu/s. Using the Pythagorean theorem we can calculate the total velocity. It is 1.039

times the maximum speed. But here is where the hard cap comes in to save the day. By

dividing the speed vector by this figure, we get a total speed that is exactly 2300

uu/s again. This has an interesting sideeffect. The car is also falling slightly slower now

than it would be if it had no horizontal speed. This effect gets stronger, the longer the

car falls. It would also happen with the ball but it has a maximum speed of 6000 uu/s so

you will never really see that in a normal game.

How Much to Study | English Fluency Challenge - Duration: 3:13.

Hey! Today you're going to watch a video that I made a while back about the idea

of a daily minimum. Deciding how much time you actually have to study English,

and why consistency is the most important thing for reaching fluency! how

much time you have to study English changes every single day! so you need to

decide how much you have and what to do with it to study effectively! enjoy!

you know I keep hearing you say that you're stuck! you're stuck somewhere in

this mess of English and you just can't find fluency. difficult grammar, words

that won't come out of your mouth properly, and conversations with native

speakers that leave you so upset. you get fed up and angry so you stop studying

you start again, and this leaves you unhappy, leaves you angry failing at

achieving your goal. so what can you do, what can you do differently to finally

succeed? you need to create a minimum. it's a minimum amount of time that you

can study English every day. your minimum is for emergencies. because even if you

plan ahead, life is an unexpected mess! things at work. things at school.

personal life goes crazy. these are things that you can't control. instead of

getting upset and angry at yourself, have that minimum amount of time to keep

yourself in English. it's what real people use to become fluent speakers in foreign

languages. it's like in a video game when you fight the boss. you don't fight the

boss when you're at zero health. you build your confidence back up. and don't

feel bad about it because you're learning English at the perfect speed,

because it's the perfect speed for your life. and then when you're ready, when

your health is back up, you attack all those parts of the language that we're

holding you back before, and you move ahead!

this is the path to fluency. so how do you start? you've got

to find your minimum. everyone's is going to be different and everyone's is

constantly changing. second: the moment you create your

minimum is the moment you can decide if it's too little or too much. no one else

can decide this for you. this is your own road to fluency, not someone else's!

the last step, you work hard that's what you do. you work your butt off. some days

it seems like you're learning nothing, that's normal!

those are days where you're actually learning the most! you're finding out

your mistakes. and when things seem impossible, when it

looks like you're not moving anywhere, take a deep breath ––– relax!

take a step back. and then when you're ready, when you've got your health back up,

attack! welcome back dude! now, whether you feel like you have too much time or too

The FBI is also investigating the Clinton Foundation for possible pay-to-play or other

illegal activities while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

It got worse for Comey…

Fired FBI Director James Comey's original Hillary Clinton statement was released to

the public Thursday by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI).

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein

and the DOJ Wednesday demanding answers on Comey's memos.

Chuck Grassley questioned whether fired FBI Director James Comey violated DOJ policy after

he gave his Trump memos to a friend to leak to the press.

Chuck Grassley and Senator Lindsey Graham also sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein

and FBI Director Christopher Wray Friday demanding they investigate if Christopher Steele lied

to federal authorities.

All of this happened and deafening silence from both dirty cop Comey and Crooked Hillary

Clinton.

Hillary Clinton's spokesmen released statements to the press addressing the DOJ investigations.

Clinton Foundation communications director, Craig Minassian issued a statement about the

FBI investigation into the Foundation, claiming the allegations are "politically motivated".

Hillary Clinton's spox Nick Merrill called the investigation a "sham".

Both Hillary and Comey are curiously silent on Twitter.

Comey is usually arrogantly tweeting philosophical quotes and Bible verses.

Crooked Hillary usually tries to distract by tweeting about something random or giving

an off-the-wall interview to a left-wing outlet.

So far NOTHING from either of them.

Comey hasn't tweeted since very early morning hours of January 3rd and Hillary hasn't

tweeted since January 2nd.

Since the moment Prince Harry announced his engagement to divorced American actress, Meghan

Markle, there's been nothing but controversy that's come from the couple – mostly has

Markle past emerges in pieces.

If she thought her secrets would be safe and she'd skate into the royal family with flying

colors, getting by on her beaming smile – she was sorely mistaken.

Markle's fiance is in line to the throne and the Queen isn't letting anyone or anything

into her family without undergoing extensive scrutiny.

This has led to the revelation if what Markle's been hiding and now an arrest.

The picture of perfection and elegance that this couple has portrayed over the last few

weeks as they flaunt their love for each other from the states to the Royal Palace, has now

been shattered as it seems like it was a front for something else.

The American actress does what she's apparently pretty good at and that's pretending to

be someone she isn't.

When it was revealed who the soon-to-be princess' father was, many people were taken aback by

his recluse lifestyle at his home in Mexico – far from London.

It seemed impossible that this man would be rubbing shoulders with the royal family and

that he would be able to maintain any level of proper etiquette expected around the Queen

or at a royal affair such as a wedding.

The fact that Harry went rogue and picked a person without a pedigree was strange but

celebrated since he was doing things his own way.

However, it's not her father or even her stepsister who is in the crosshairs of the

queen, it's her equally obscure stepbrother and his fiancee who were just caught.

It's hard to believe that Markle shares a parent with her half-brother since they

look like complete opposites and seemingly act as such too.

But what else is Markle "hiding" that's bound to come out before her royal wedding

in May?

The Daily Mail reports:

Meghan Markle's half-brother Tom has blamed his drunken New Year's Eve brawl with his

fiancee on the pressure and scrutiny caused by his sister's engagement.

The flare-up in their Oregon home led to Tom's fiancee Darlene Blount being thrown into jail

for two nights for assault.

Tom has blamed the pressure of being in the public eye for his woes, saying: "It hasn't

been easy.

Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry has shone a spotlight on our family.

It doesn't help when you have issues and your sister is engaged to Royalty.

It adds a whole new level of scrutiny."

And Tom – who was last year arrested for brandishing a gun at his fiancee during another

drunken fracas – says they will both attend alcohol and relationship counseling.

"We've been under a lot of stress because of all the attention.

At some point you find yourself drinking too much to escape the pressure."

Tom vowed last night to 'seek help' after the drunken confrontation.

The Prince has his PR work cut out for him on behalf of his wife and the misfit family

she's bringing into the "perfect" picture.

He's already slammed his soon-to-be father in law and Markle's family in claiming that

she never had a family.

While they may not be perfect and far from royalty, they were very close, according to

Markle's half-sister Samantha Markle.

Samantha countered the Prince's claim with the facts of her and Meghan's upbringing

that was different than the soon-to-be princess is saying now.

It seems like Meghan is making her family life sound different than it was presumably

out of embarrassment for her rather average American upbringing – and also to separate

herself from the drama.

Considering how things went down in Oregon leading to the drunken arrest, Meghan has

some face to save if she want to impress the Queen.

Mail Online explains what happened that debaucherous and embarrassing evening:

Tom initially told The Mail on Sunday Ms. Blount had begun 'pummelling me in the face

with her fists', but last night he changed his tune and said the injuries he sustained

were self-inflicted.

As Prince Harry and Ms Markle reportedly ushered in the New Year "partying like tycoons"

in the millionaires' playground of Monaco, Tom and Darlene were downing beers and whiskey

at the decidedly less salubrious Cedarwood Saloon in their hometown of Grant's Pass.

Tom, 51, who has the same father as Meghan, said he and Darlene, 37, rowed at the bar

before she stormed off.

He returned to their bungalow and continued drinking, becoming increasingly enraged.

When Darlene finally came home she immediately began downing a bottle of bourbon.

"I said some swear words, it turned into an argument," Tom confessed.

Darlene called the police – but ended up being arrested herself.

"I might have said that Darlene beat me up," Tom said.

"She was arrested for domestic violence.

It was a big confusion."

This kind of drama surely won't sit well with the Queen who is accustomed to keeping

appearances buttoned up and proper.

We're all for a regular girl with a complicated family, making something amazing of her life,

but she shouldn't forget where she comes from.

What's truly in "poor taste" is to disregard and ditch your family you had an entire life

with because you found a better one.

As for Harry, falling in love with the girl means accepting everything about her, including

her upbringing, which is the classiest thing someone can do for their soon-to-be spouse

and her family.

You don't just marry her, you join families and at a minimum should at least show some

respect to the man who brought the love of your life into this world.

This goes for Meghan as well who seemed to be quick to ditch the commoners for Hollywood

royalty and then real royalty.

Keep it classy, Megs, and remember where you came from!
