If you think Johnny's, you also think drama and movies. This year we're in for a treat!
Movie adaptation of the legendary manga/anime, if you don't know FMA....
Dafuq are you doing with your life?
The release is schedule on 1st December 2017 in Japan
2 trailers are available, they've been talking about it since last summer as it's very anticipated
because FMA is quite emblematic
The story'll focus on the Elric brothers' origins, and the lead actor will be played by HSJ Ryosuke Yamada
Chibi-chan~~
For those wondering, yes he's tiny
People are already making a fuss about the movie, on one hand because of the ethinicities
It seems no foreigners was casted , so people are complaining it's an Asian actors only movie
when in the original story, only Mustang could actually pass for a Japanese
Fear not! The same polemic is rising for American adaptations, such as Ghost in the shell or...
...or Dragon Ball
People even attacked poor Ryosuke saying he was wearing a wig (That's an issue?)
For me what's important: will the adaptation be good in terms of story?
will it respect the original work?
Visually it looks promising, the trailers show Ed and Al but also give us an idea of what to expect for VFX
What worries me... I'm still traumatised by AOT
SNK was adapted in movie last year, visually it looked beautiful but it was a piece of shit!
because the story didn't respect the original work
The same thing can happen with drama adaptation, which were very anticipated and for me were not that good
I'm thinking about GTO, where visually nothing looked like the manga. The personality of Onizuka was okay
but the character always has a distinctive bleached blonde hair, which was nowhere in the drama
For FMA, the characters are looking faithful. Respecting already the universe and the aesthetics of the original characters
gives me good hopes. Now will the story be good..?
That is my worry, especially after seeing what they've done for the latest Death Note which looks....
For such emblematic works, it's always a touchy subject: will it be good or will it be butchered?
You always have those approving no matter what and those complaining straight away
I'd rather wait and see before judging it
SO, see you at the end of the year
Come on Ryosuke, don't let me down!
PG is also a movie adaptation of a manga. This time the story is lighter, it revolve around Momo Adachi
and her sentimental tribulations, very girly, very shoujo manga
All hail HSJ again, as Inoo Kei is playing Kairi in the movie
It'll be released 20th May, not too long now!
If you don't know PG, I really recommend it as it introduced quite legendary characters like Sae Kashiwagi
who's this 2 faced girl who looks cute, sweet and fragile
but who's actually the dirtiest bitch that will ruin your life!
Before the movie is released you can catch up on the manga which has...18 volumes?
That's quick, the weekend is coming so...you know what to do now.
Now, I have to admit that Inoo's hairstyle has nothing to do with Kairi's but his personality does!
This time I'd say they didn't try hard enough on the visual
Kairi isn't actually sporting a mushroom hairstyle...you could have sharpened dat fringe!
I won't talk about Toji, I didn't even recognised him in the trailer
See? A wig can't hurt sometimes!
However acting-wise, it seems the characters are faithful to the manga
Better be good man, PG is one of my favourite stories
Don't let me down HSJ!
This one is a drama that er...ended in March. It's now..okay, but the thing is
it was released in 2017, Ueda has a part in it and I HAD to talk about it
The title means Virtual Detective Higurashi Tabito and the lead character has lost 4 out of 5 of his senses
leaving him with overdeveloped eyesight. He can therefore see emotions issued from object or people
and will use this to investigate
Ueda Tatsuya plays a secondary character called Kamekichi, and that highly bothers me
because everytime someone calls him Kame I'm standing here shouting "He's Ueda, he's not Kame!"
However the role is great, Ueda plays a dummy delinquent that will revive the comedy effect in each episode
The drama is amazing, it's fascinating
If you liked Kaitou Yamaneko last year, you'll enjoy this one as it also has the same type of ambiance
There's a very funny side, thanks not only to Ueda because always getting his ass kicked,
coupled with a very dark storyline, the underlined story is intriguing and fascinating
even when you can anticipate a development, it stays interesting
In line with the cray-cray detectives, this time the titles means Massage Detective Joe
and er...yeah, looks like exactly what we can expect!
It seems funny and is scheduled for April 8th (not 30th)
The reason why I'm talking about it being: the lead role is Nakamaru Yuichi!
Not only does baby Maru has the lead but he also sings the theme song
Can't have KAT-TUN back but here's Maru, I'll take what I can!
The story follows a mobile masseur who ends up suspected of murder and apparently uses his gift to
to make people talk and solve investigations
I briefly saw the very themed dance routine which looks fabulous AF
I expect a lot from this drama!
I mean Maru's hands... I'll get a massage any time
Yep, there's a pattern rising here
This year seems very detective orientated
The titles means The Aristocrat Detective. The drama started on April 17th
and the lead actor is Arashi's Aiba Masaki
The story follows the....
Do you mind!?
I was saying!
The main character is posing as an Aristocrat, we don't know his real identity
and he's supposedly a detective but actually his followers are the one solving the cases
he's just here to hit on all the girls around
I haven't started it yet, there's so much to watch...
I didn't even talk about the P to JK movie starring Kamenashi
BIASED! (Yaaaaaaaas!)
I'm really anticipating Kizoku Tantei because I'm curious about seeing Aiba as an Aristocrat Don Juan
I need to see that
I think it'll be a good mix of comedy and dark story
More about it soon
Nope, I won't mention Kame to Yamapi, leaving this for another video...
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the video and that gave you ideas of what to watch this summer between 2 GOT episodes
Obviously, it was a very short selection of what was and will be released this year
Let me know what drama/movie you're looking forward to seeing
If you enjoyed the video, please give it a thumbs up and share it
For request/recommendation, still available on TW, FB, IG, I'l put the links in the description box
