Youtube daily Aug 2 2018

Right-wingers are doing absolutely everything possible to try to discredit the growing push

for a Medicare for all type healthcare system here in the United States.

We all know that earlier this week the Koch brothers, a group that they fund, put out

a study that showed that, wow, this thing was going to have a 32.6 trillion dollar price

tag over the next 10 years.

And the same study admitted that that's actually two trillion dollars less than what we already

pay now as a country.

So, their own study showed that this would save us money.

So, knowing that and everybody jumped on that, the Koch brothers looked ridiculous.

Bernie Sanders actually thanked them for putting it out and showing that it saved us money.

Fox News tried to get people back on the side of Medicare for all is evil, so they put out

a poll on Twitter, in which they got more than 32,000 people to respond.

Here is what the question says, "Bernie Sanders' Medicare for all bill, estimated to cost 32.6

trillion, new study says.

Would the benefits outweigh the costs?"

73% of the more than 32,000 people who responded to this said yes, the benefits outweigh the

costs.

So Fox News, trying to discredit this and put out that already discredited information,

got 73%, nearly three quarters of their respondents to say, "Yeah, that's actually worth it, we

would be willing to do that."

So even Fox News can't help but make the case that Medicare for all is not only what the

people want, but they don't even care about the price tag, when you don't include the

fact that it's actually going to save us money and be cheaper in the long run.

They just want it.

This is a program that they support regardless of the cost, and at this point again, we know

that we will end up saving money.

Republicans and Democrats actually support this kind of plan.

And this isn't to say that everybody's going to have federally mandated government health

insurance.

Medicare is an optional program if you want to do it.

The only people who could suffer under such a plan would be insurance company executives,

and of course Big Pharma executives, because part of the thing with this would be that

drug companies would have to lower their prices here in the United States.

If you wanted to have a private plan with Blue Cross or Aetna or Cigna or whoever, you

could still go and buy that plan.

No problem with that.

But, if you wanted the cheaper option, the federal government option, the Medicare for

all, you could also do that.

This is all about expanding choice in this country, the exact opposite of communism or

socialism, like Republicans are trying to scare us with, and most people know that on

both sides of the aisle.

Progressive policies like a Medicare for all type plan are hugely popular when you do not

associate them with any political party.

They're popular among Republicans, they're popular among Democrats, and that's what's

happened with Medicare for all.

Since the Democrats refused to jump on it when Bernie was pushing it, it has become

disassociated from the Democratic Party, and now it's just a plan that most people want

regardless of party affiliation.

It's going to save us money and, so far, every single time that these Republican pundits,

networks, and think tanks have tried to debunk it and tell us how horrible it is, they have

ended up telling us that this is almost at this point, inevitable for this country because

it's what the people want.

Vanessa Bryant on Rumors of a Kobe Comeback: 'He Doesn't Want to Play Again' - Duration: 1:16.

What's up, guys?

Frazier here for Complex News.

While on vacation in Cabo, Vanessa Bryant posted a video of herself relaxing in the

Mexican sun to her IG account.

A Kobe fan who was curious to see if the retired NBA star was going to be coming back to the

Lakers, commented under the post:

"Is Kobe comin back or not?

I know it's lowkey up to you."

Rumors and talk of Kobe making a return to the league picked up considerable steam after

the Lakers organization signed LeBron James to a 4-year deal.

After James signed, Kobe said he called LeBron to welcome him to the organization.

"I told him, 'Welcome to the family, man.'

It sounds crazy but I said, 'Dude you are part of the family now.

So anything you need on my end, I got you.

Whatever the case may be, I am here for you.'"

The conversation between the two stars made many think that Kobe saying he'd do "anything"

included him making a return to the court.

Then, Shaq added gallons of fuel to the fire by telling TMZ that Kobe was indeed making

an NBA comeback, though he was probably just trolling.

Well, Vanessa Bryant replied to that fan to effectively shut down talks of a Mamba return.

"Kobe will not be coming out of retirement to play again.

He doesn't want to play again and frankly we really enjoy spending time together as

a family without the crazy game schedule interfering with birthdays, holidays and special events."

There you have it.

I guess it really is highkey up to her.

That's the news for now, but for all the latest news on post-retirement Kobe, subscribe

Megatron Fears You And Any Like You | Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters (2013) - Duration: 4:28.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Nice try.

I'll just put this back where it belongs.

Spectrum analysis confirms that the synthetic

Energon is stable. The formula is now complete.

And your timetable for production?

With the aid of hyper-acceleration technology, not long.

Ohh, a pity you won't live long

enough to witness the fruits of your labor.

But as much as we appreciate your contributions, Doctor,

I've made a promise to someone that I intend to keep.

Do you feel defenseless, Autobot?

Good. Now you know what my fellow

Predacons endured...

...right before you massacred them!

Optimus to base ... come in.

Commander, have you determined the warship's location?

No, Ultra Magnus. The transponder has been destroyed.

We are no closer to finding Ratchet than when we began.

Lord Megatron, synthesis of the cyber matter required to

- cyberform Earth has commenced. - Splendid, Shockwave!

Move the Omega lock into position.

- I want to be ready. - At last, good riddance to

- a wretched species. - Although I will say they

manufacture some fine-looking automobiles.

Just get it over with.

It's not like I could ever live

with myself, knowing the role I played in

humankind's extinction.

But if you want to avenge your cohorts, don't stop with me!

Keep avenging all the way to Megatron!

What?! What do you mean?!

Your high and mighty leader wanted your Predacons

exterminated and simply allowed us to do his dirty work for him!

Nothing but a false claim to save your own spark!

But you consider yourself an intelligent being, don't you?!

Then rise above your base instincts and analyze the situation.

We followed the trail that day with the desperate

hope that it would lead to an Energon mine.

We had no idea we would find Shockwave's laboratory.

The coincidence barely seems plausible!

Because it wasn't a coincidence.

The Energon was clearly planted

- to lure us there ... by Megatron! - Hmm.

Why would my liege wish to destroy us?

Having just been on the receiving end of your might,

one theory springs to mind ...

Megatron fears you and any like you.

Lord Megatron, Predaking is on a rampage and moving rapidly

toward the ... ohh!

What's Your #HealthyCommitment? | Humana - Duration: 2:13.

It's a true privilege to be able to sit down with people and work with them through

a needy time but also, to be able to celebrate some joys with them.

We're here at Iora Primary Care.

This is one of the Iora locations that's partnered with Humana.

We're here to provide the best primary care to seniors here in Tucson.

Good morning everyone.

Welcome to huddle.

First thing in the morning, we sit down and we share what a positive experience that we

had the day before either with patients or a personal victory for our team.

We move on to the actual review of our patients for the day and then, we open up the doors

and we're ready to go.

It's a partnership with the patient.

It's a trust factor too for us to be able to sit down and really kind of talk about

what barriers they have in their care, which I think is the first step in trying to help

our patients make changes and to sustain those changes.

I'm a health coach here at Iora and I get to be an advocate for patients.

We're a part of every patient appointment.

We get to meet one on one with the patients to help them reach their healthcare goals.

We're just going to reach forward.

We have a yoga class here today and the fact that that's embedded in their plan and that

is such a huge part of what I feel like is important in healthcare for them is moving

their bodies, being active.

It's the socialization aspect of things too.

There are better outcomes, both financially as well as with their health.

Hospital admissions have come down.

We're noticing a decrease in ER visits as well.

It's nice to have the time with our patients and to be able to sit down and make a difference,

not feel rushed.

They walk in here and they feel like they're heard and that doesn't happen in healthcare

very often, so it's nice to be a part of that.

The need is there and the fact that Humana's actually wanting to make this work and pushing

forward with this really, I think, speaks volumes to their commitment for their patients.

How to Save a Dying Succulent (What You Need to Know) - Duration: 6:43.

Hello everyone, this is Sheila.

And in this video you will learn how to save a dying succulent, like these guys right here.

So, first, let me ask you these questions?

Have you had a dying succulent?

Maybe one or two or three or four or more?

If the answer is yes, then this video is for you!

So, let's jump in!

If you would look at this succulent, there is no obvious sign of infestation and if you

would look at the rest of the succulents in the pot, these guys are obviously healthy

and were not over-watered at all.

So, what do you think happened here?

Stay until the end of this video to get the answer.

So, for now, Tip Number 1 on how to save a dying succulent is to learn to spot one.

The very first thing that you need to know is that early detection is the key.

Let me show you which succulents look like they are dying but they're not.

Why is this important?

Because when some people would see this…this, and this, they would start freaking out and

would start going crazy with watering, which only makes things worse.

Do you want to know why I know?

This was me when I was starting.

So, what are the early signs of a dying succulent?

A dying succulent would have a darkening base.

If you would look at the leaves of the plant, the upper part looks healthy, but this base

here is showing signs of rotting.

This is a telltale sign of a dying succulent, a base that's constricting with a brown

rotting color.

Once you have identified the sick succulent, we will now proceed to step number 2 on how

to save a dying succulent, which is to locate the healthy part of the plant.

If you are quick enough, you will still have healthy parts to recover and these are the

leaves and the stem that looks more green and healthy.

Make sure to cut the stem about an inch away from the rotting section.

And since we are trying to save this dying succulent, let me share with you this message:

Be a person on a mission.

Whatever you do, make sure that each of them directs you towards your goal.

Be relentless.

So from this day forward, always tell yourself, I'm a person on a mission.

Step Number 3, after cutting, check the tip and make sure that there is no sign of rot

and that the tip has a citrusy smell instead of a pungent, moldy odor.

Also make sure that the tip has calloused over, which is roughly 2 to 3 days after cutting,

and once all of these are checked, it's time to proceed to Step Number 4, which is

to plant it in a temporary pot.

I'm planting this guy in this temporary pot for now 'cause I would rather wait for

about a month and a half before adding this to a group.

It is important to put this succulent in a controlled environment with no precipitation

or source of moisture and no harsh sun exposure, that' why I'm putting this guy in this

spot indoors.

In July here in Brentwood, California, it's way too hot for a recovering plant to deal

with.

I just want to make sure that he has grown enough roots and that he is stronger before

I send him off with the rest of the gang outside.

Here's the second plant and this takes us to Step Number 5 and option number 2 on how

to save a dying succulent, which is to pluck off the healthy leaves off of the dying plant

and propagate them.

I highly suggest that you still try to propagate even the leaves that look less likely to sprout

roots, 'cause most of the time, they still do.

So, aside from replanting the part of the plant that still looks healthy, propagating

the leaves gives you higher chance of still getting that same succulent going.

As promised, let me tell you what happened to these succulents and this is a very good

learning experience for me,too.

And you will definitely learn from it.

So, although these plants are not being watered very often, as you can tell from these healthy

succulents on this side, there is something very significant about how this pot is placed.

See, this planter used to be near the fence.

I realized that the side of the pot that is closest to the fence is so protected from

the sun that the soil near that side of the planter is not drying as fast.

When I used my moisture meter to measure how wet the soil is, the front part would register

as less moist at 2 or 3, but the rear registered as really wet at 6 or 7.

So, as a very important tip, before watering, test all sides with your moisture meter.

As long as your pot still register some moisture, postpone watering.

So, even if it is just 2 for moisture, it is still over-watering.

Okay, so remember, the best tip to save a dying succulent is early detection and checking

for moisture all over the pot.

And always remember to tell yourself this, I am a person on a mission and every step

I take, leads me there.

And again, this is Sheila, your person on a mission, for Succulent Fame.

Sending you inspirations with every succulent.

Remember to give this video a thumbs up and share this video, too.

Thank you so much for watching!
