Youtube daily Jan 16 2019

Really the big focus of this interview is going to be technical skills.

Most interviewers are going to run a few warm-up questions,

one main question that's going to take the bulk of the time,

so you can imagine a 30- to 35-minute interactive question.

The questions themselves aren't going to have the answer presented to you directly.

You really have to understand what the question is asking

and have an understanding of different data structures and algorithms to be like,

OK, I can mix and match this together a little bit to make this happen,

and then you can build on top of anything you have to do inside the actual interview.

From my experience, all the interviewers from Google are extremely nice,

so they are very supportive and helpful.

Even though the first solution you come up with might not be the best,

they will guide you through and give you enough hints, so eventually you can get the best solution.

You definitely need to think out loud.

First, ask clarification questions. Second, call out assumptions.

Third, you need to explain your thoughts clearly before jumping into coding.

It's like: What are your edge cases? Define those first. Is anything going to be null?

What kind of inputs are you getting? So you can make sure that,

you know, your system won't break halfway through.

Definitely speak out loud so that your interviewer knows kind of where your mind is on certain things,

and that's when they can give you hints every now and again,

like, "Oh, maybe don't use a HashSet; a HashMap might be a little better."

I think a lot people come into it with the misconception that

for every problem you're given, you must find the algorithmically optimal solution,

but it's better to find some solution than none at all. That's really easy to mess up.

The biggest piece of advice on how to do well at a software engineering interview is

to not try to do well at the interview, but how do you do well as a software engineer in general, right?

And that comes with practice, and it comes with knowing your code.

So you really have to do what you have to do to make sure that when you do get on site, you crush it.

I'd recommend the Google Tech Dev Guide to make sure that

your fundamentals are going to be strong for the interview.

Make sure that you're really good at at least one language,

because you're only going to get to pick one when you do the interview.

Prepare yourself. Get used to coding on a whiteboard.

The difference between coding on a whiteboard and coding in an editor

is that you don't have any helpful tools to guide you through to finish the syntax.

So it's easy to just practice writing some code on a piece of paper

where you don't have that type of tool.

I think there's a misconception that you need to be, like,

you know, the best engineer ever to work at Google.

You know, you don't need to be an expert at algorithms; you just need to be good at them.

You don't need to know some really high-level complex data structures;

you just need to know all the basic ones really well.

You kind of think of Google as this, like, super software-engineer-producing entity,

but then you realize it's people that have also been through your same process, right?

They practiced, they worked, they developed to be who they were today.

Of course Google likes to hire smart people, but

don't underestimate yourself — you can do it.

Republicans Abandon Trump As Government Shutdown Drags On - Duration: 3:57.

Well, the government shutdown still going on, still no end in sight, still no buddy

coming to the negotiation table, whether it's from the Republicans or the Democrats.

Uh, and there's good reason for that.

I don't fault the Democrats for that.

Donald Trump has said he won't budge.

Democrats have said they won't budge.

So we're at an impasse now that we can do right.

Well, eventually this impasse is going to pass and it's probably going to happen sooner

rather than later because there are many, many cracks in the facade of the Republican

Party as Washington Post conservative columnists.

Jennifer Rubin pointed out this week, Trump has basically shown his hand.

He is holding nothing.

She says, you know, basically he's got a pair of Twos, but he keeps doubling down on it

and he can't win this.

There's no way he can win this.

He doesn't know what to do.

He doesn't know what his end game is here.

And more importantly, he is one of the worst negotiators that we have ever seen.

And the real irony there obviously is the fact that when he was elected and during the

campaign, he told his crowds that he was going to negotiate everything you need to negotiate

drug prices.

I'm going to negotiate with Democrats, I'm going to go negotiate with foreign countries

because look at me.

I'm a successful businessman and I negotiate a lot.

It's what I do.

I wrote a book called the art of the deal.

Well, here's the thing, Trump some moron.

He doesn't know how to negotiate.

And he has proven that day after day after day after day, since he was sworn in as president

of the United States, he doesn't know what he's doing.

But here's the thing, it's not just Jennifer Rubin, it's other Republicans who are joining

in with Democrats trying to get bills passed to reopen the federal government.

And then maybe later down the road talk about border wall funding, which promise you ain't

going to happen.

Um, but in the Senate, they keep getting blocked by Mitch Mcconnell even though other Republicans

have said, okay, yeah, we'll sign onto this.

We've got to get the government running again.

People in this country are suffering.

Our national security is suffering from this partial government shutdown, but Mitch Mcconnell

every time just says, nope, nope, nope, nope.

Not going to do it.

Not going to bring it to a vote.

Get the fuck out of here.

I don't care.

That's Mitch Mcconnell.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mitch Mcconnell and Donald Trump owned this shutdown.

There are plenty of Republicans, even some of the worst ones out there who have still

attempted to reopen the government to their credit, but you know who really does deserve

the credit here, the Democratic Party, you know, we.

We talked here at ring of fire throughout the entire Obama administration about the

fact that the Democrats were too willing to compromise.

They caved way too easily to Republicans even when Democrats had the majority's.

They haven't done that here and honestly, I do feel like that deserves a hell of a lot

of credit.

The Democrats are doing what we've been begging them to do for over a decade, which is fight

back.

Stand up to Republicans.

Do not let them push you around and Democrats are holding strong right now and what's happening

as a result of that is they're getting more and more republicans coming to their side.

They understand the damage they're inflicting on the United States and they want the government

reopened, but to people unfortunately are standing in the way and those two people are

Mitch Mcconnell and Donald Trump and that alliance have to right now is pretty powerful.

But as more and more Republicans continue to jump ship as more and more conservative

columnists come out here and say, Trump is an idiot and doesn't know what he's doing.

That alliance of two is going to get weaker and weaker by the hour and it won't be long

before those two idiots are forced to cave and give up their stupid dream of building

a wall along the southern border.

Verizon: A Great Dividend Stock That Can Handle a Recession - Duration: 5:21.

Dylan Lewis: Why don't we start out with our safest one? That's Verizon Communications.

Brian Feroldi: I'm sure this is a company that almost everybody listening is familiar with.

They're the No. 1 wireless provider in the U.S. They also provide wireline to lots of customers.

I'm sure lots of people have heard of their internet offering, which is called FiOS,

which provides video and internet. This is a company with 117 million wireless customers.

The cell phone has basically become a utility for consumers today.

They pay it the same way they pay their electric bill or their water bill.

So, even during a downturn, you can feel really good that Verizon's core wireless business

is going to hold up extremely well, because consumers are so willing to pay for their cell phone.

Lewis: Yeah.

This is the company that boasts the best wireless network nationwide if you look at most industry data.

I think that's particularly big for Verizon because the wireless industry is incredibly cutthroat.

It's brutally competitive.

But they're able to charge more than a lot of their peers because they offer the best service,

because they have the most consistent coverage across the country.

That gives them that premium pricing, and I think it gives them a little bit more stability,

insulates them from a lot of the competitive pricing that we see from the Sprints and T-Mobiles of the world.

Feroldi: Yeah. Verizon is seen as the gold standard network.

They've done a great job with their marketing to convince people that their network is No. 1

and you should stick with them if you want the best service, no matter where you are.

Lewis: To your point about the role that phones play in people's lives, this is something that

a lot of people need to have.

Depending on where you are in the country, the coverage is super important,

especially in some of the more remote areas where you can't bank on being near a major metro area

and all of the network benefits that come with that.

One of the strongest signals to me that business is doing well is the fact that their postpaid churn is 0.8%.

You compare that to some of the companies that have steadily discounted to try to acquire customers,

that's about half of what their churn is.

It's clear that the premium pricing, better coverage model seems to work.

They hold onto customers rather than having to spend a ton of money to acquire them

only to lose them down the road.

Feroldi: Yeah. I'm sure that postpaid churn rate is going to surprise some listeners.

I don't know about you, I tried to change my cell phone provider a couple of years ago

to one of the discounted offerings. My wife basically said no.

I went with it and she convinced me to come back because she wasn't willing to give up using Verizon.

Verizon's competitive position is very strong.

Lewis: Looking back at 2007 and 2008, the stock did decline, as did the market,

but their decline was lower than the broader sell-off we saw in the market.

That's a signal of, this is a company that tends to weather these downturns a little

bit better than a lot of high-price growth stocks.

For them, curiously, sales actually increased throughout the recession, which you don't see very often.

Feroldi: Right. Back when the recession was just picking up, in 2008, that's when the smartphone boom

was starting to take off. Verizon definitely benefited from that.

Their revenue actually grew through 2008 through 2009 through 2010.

As you mentioned, its stock got walloped, but that was the Great Recession.

There were very few places that you could hide in the stock market.

So, the stock did decline, but it was actually a lower peak to trough drop than the market in general.

Verizon is considered to be a low beta stock, which means that its stock price doesn't move

up or down very much when compared to the market in general.

Lewis: Another encouraging sign here, they're one of the companies that continued to hike

their dividend during the financial crisis. The dividend is what attracts a lot of people to Verizon.

They're a steady payer.

They've grown their payment over the last couple of years, and consistently doing it.

Granted, they enjoyed the smartphone boom and maybe had a little bit more in the coffers

than they would have absent that trend.

But that's a sign you want to see, particularly from a dividend payer, when you're looking

back at how they performed over downturn periods.

Another sign of them being a solid stock to own if you're worried about a lot of volatility,

a lot of risk in the market, is that they trade at a low valuation, 12X trailing earnings,

12X forward earnings.

That pretty much says it all about the growth outlook for this business.

Feroldi: Yeah, this company is growing its earnings at a mid-single-digit rate.

It's about 6% over the last five years. That's about what investors expect moving forward.

But the type of investor that's attracted to Verizon is an income investor.

They're holding this stock because they want to get their hands on the company's dividend yield.

The dividend yield is currently 4.4%. Like you said, it's been paid for literally more than 30 years.

The type of person that owns Verizon's stock, is attracted to it, is really there for the dividend.

That type of investor is less likely to sell when the market goes down, because they're

not in the stock for capital appreciation, they're in it for the dividend.

So, as long as the dividend remains solid, I think the stock will hold up very well in

any sort of bear market.

The Stock Market in 2018: Best Performing Stocks, Worst Sectors & More - Duration: 9:52.

Alison Southwick: So Bro, what's up?

Robert Brokamp: Well, Alison, very soon you'll start receiving those year-end account statements

from your brokerages, your 401(k), all your investment accounts [if you haven't already

started to receive those].

You'll get an idea of how your portfolio fared in 2018 and you'll want to know how you did

on an absolute basis because obviously how much your portfolio grows, or doesn't grow,

will have an impact on when you can accomplish your financial goals: when you can retire,

how much you're going to have for the kids' college education, and all that type of stuff.

But you also want to know how you did on a relative basis compared to relevant benchmarks

so you can understand why your portfolio did what it did and if you need to make any changes;

so I figured we'd spend this time doing a bit of an investment autopsy on 2018

so people could understand what did well or not as well. Look at their own returns and see how they compare.

Let's start with the major indices, and by the way, all the numbers I'm going to give

are total returns, so that's the price as well as the dividend that's included.

For 2018, the S&P 500 dropped 4.6%.

While the index was down for the year, 160 stocks actually did make money, so a little

bit more than two-thirds lost money. About 30% did make money.

The Dow was down 3.7% and the Nasdaq was down just 1%.

Those aren't horrible losses, but I'm guessing that for most people with a diversified portfolio,

they actually did worse.

That's because those market indexes are market-cap weighted, which means the biggest companies

have the biggest influence. Smaller companies didn't do so well.

For example, while I said the S&P 500 was down 4.6%, if you equal weighted all the companies

within the S&P 500, it was actually down 7.8%.

There's also an S&P 400 index of midcap stocks -- that was down 11.2% -- and the S&P 600 index

of small-cap stocks was down 8.5%.

If you look at the Russell 2000, which is a broader and more well-known index of small companies,

they were down 11.1%.

So the smaller your average holding was, chances are you didn't do as well.

Another factor was style, meaning growth vs. value.

The S&P 500 Growth ETF, which tilts the holdings towards the more growth-oriented companies

was basically flat for the year. The Value ETF was down 9.2%.

Southwick: Could you define "value" quickly?

Brokamp: Value basically is by various measures, a cheaper stock.

Lower P/E, lower price-to-sales. Maybe a higher dividend yield.

Something like that.

So value was out of favor last year and it's been that way for a couple of years.

When you look at sector, the three top-performing sectors actually made money, but just barely.

They were healthcare, utilities [utilities, can you imagine?] and consumer discretionary.

The three worst sectors in 2018 were energy, materials, and industrials.

So the manufacturing companies and the companies that are related to "stuff" like oil

and things like that did not do as well.

In case you're curious about what the best performing stocks were in the S&P 500 last year

they are, in order, Advanced Micro Devices, otherwise known as AMD was up 73%, followed

by Abiomed, Fortinet [not to be confused with Fortnite, because if that were a stock

that would have done well], Advance Auto Parts, TripAdvisor, and [because I know a lot of

Motley Fool listeners own this stock] Chipotle.

Chipotle was the sixth best-performing in the S&P 500, up 46%.

If you broaden beyond the S&P 500, the best-performing stock of the broader stock index was

World Wrestling Entertainment up 144%. Who knew? It's a midcap stock.

The worst performers in the S&P 500 were Coty [COTY] down 67%, followed by L Brands,

Mohawk Industries, GE [down 57%], and then Invesco.

The worst performing of the broader stock market is a small-cap stock known as

Cloud Peak Energy down 91%. Southwick: Oh! Had a rough year.

Brokamp: I know.

I made that comment about how Fortinet, which is a cybersecurity company is not Fortnite.

Then, of course, I had to google who owns Fortnite and I found this Quartz article.

Fortnite makes $2.5 million a day.

It is not publicly traded, although a lot of it is owned by a publicly traded Chinese

venture capital firm.

But it's owned by Epic Games, which was created by Tim Sweeney back in 1991 in his parents'

basement in Maryland. He's now worth $7 billion.

I thought that was an interesting little story, so that's a resolution for 2019.

Southwick: Invent a game that takes over.

Brokamp: That makes $2.5 million a day thanks to people like my son.

That's all U.S. stuff. Then there's international stocks.

The overall non-U.S. stock market dropped more than 14%, but that's a big bowl of stocks.

There's a lot of differences there.

Emerging markets, in general, tended to do worse than developed markets.

The best countries -- take a guess -- Ukraine up 80%, Macedonia up 30%...

Southwick: We just got a postcard from Ukraine.

Brokamp: We did? Southwick: Yes.

I'll talk about it on the next show. Brokamp: I wonder if they have any

stock recommendations? And Qatar, at 21%.

The worst -- Venezuela's stock market is down 95%.

Read any article about what's going on in Venezuela, it is a world of pain.

Huge inflation and your stock market's down 95%.

Argentina down 50% and Turkey down 43%. That gives you an idea of what happened across the world.

Whenever you look at your investments, I think you also should evaluate the people who are

picking your investments. That could be a financial advisor.

It could be a mutual fund manager.

It could be that wealth manager you see in the mirror every morning; but someone is making

those investment decisions and I think understanding how your portfolio performed, you should also

understand who's picking those things and whether that's where a change should be made.

It's easy with mutual funds because you can just use Morningstar.

If you have a large-cap growth fund, you go to Morningstar, you enter its ticker,

you click on performance, and you scroll down to the category rating, and if its category

is 10, that means it's performed in the top 10% of funds, so you're doing pretty well.

It's harder with a financial advisor, because not only, generally, are they managing your portfolio,

but they're ideally providing some financial planning advice, tax advice, retirement

planning advice, but you certainly should still keep them accountable.

I think you should choose a collection of indices or benchmarks.

I would choose a total market type of index like the S&P 1500 or the Russell 3000 to compare

a stock portfolio to.

But I also like benchmarking people to some sort of target retirement fund; so,

if you plan on retiring in 2040, I think using Vanguard's 2040 Fund is a good comparison to what your

financial advisor is doing for you or what you are doing for yourself.

Southwick: We never used a financial advisor before, but is this the time of year when

if you haven't heard from your financial advisor you call them up and say, "Hey, what's up?

We haven't talked in a while." Is that reasonable?

Brokamp: Completely reasonable and completely reasonable to ask them to explain the returns

and explain what they see as a relevant benchmark to what they're doing.

We always compare ourselves to the S&P 500, but it's not really a fair benchmark unless

you are comparing the performance of U.S. large-cap stocks, which really comes to the

foolish bottom line, here, and that is we talk about beating the market and it's usually

represented by that S&P 500.

But the S&P 500 is made up of U.S. large caps and it's getting more growth oriented.

All of those things did well this year, so if you had a reasonably diversified portfolio,

you trailed the S&P 500. But that's OK.

In years where U.S. large caps trail everything else and then you underperform the market,

then you probably have more of a concern.

So I wouldn't freak out if you underperformed the market this year.

I would choose a more relevant benchmark -- more like a total stock market index -- and give yourself,

as well as your financial advisor and any mutual fund managers, at least

three years for a fair comparison.

But if people are not beating or keeping up with a relevant benchmark over that time period,

it's time to change that.

And then I'll bring it back to the original point about financial planning and absolute returns,

and that is this is a great time of year to use these year-end portfolio values,

input it into a retirement calculator to see how the market's returns last year will affect

your retirement goals.

And if you don't feel comfortable doing that, I totally recommend going to seeing a financial

planner to do it for you.

I think everyone should do that at least once every five years, especially if you are within

five to 10 years of retiring.

Tips for Losing Weight and Living Healthier in 2019 - Duration: 8:19.

Alison Southwick: Let's go through specifically what people will say when they [make a resolution]

and then let's talk about some of your ways that you can actually get at that goal.

For example, when people make a New Year's resolution they often say, "I'm going to eat healthier,"

and that's so vague. Sam Whiteside: That's what people do.

Southwick: What are some ways people can actually make goals around eating healthier, or ways

to make eating healthier fun?

Whiteside: We all know it's what you put in your body and not necessarily how much you move

as far as weight maintenance and weight gain, and that's not what people want to hear

because exercise and getting moving is the easier portion of that puzzle piece.

Making the healthier choices or abstaining from certain things that are favorite things

is the less easy choice, but that's where the gains can come, whether it's putting on

pounds or whether it's actually making the scale move.

When people want to eat healthier, the first thing I want you to do is track your food.

Do a three or five-day diet recall where you write down everything you eat for three or

five days, including portion sizes, including times, as specific as you can be, and have

at least one weekend day and not diet recall.

Our weekends sometimes, more often than not, look different than Monday through Friday.

Southwick: And there's apps you can use.

Whiteside: Absolutely. Southwick: I've used MyFitnessPal.

It's so easy. Whiteside: Tons and tons of trackers.

Robert Brokamp: I use LoseIt [maybe MyFitnessPal does this, too], where you put in the food

that you eat [even brand name foods].

It gives you the calories and then also you log in your exercise and how many calories

you burned and [I've said this before on this show], but it really made me appreciate how

I can work out for a half-hour and you only burn so many calories and you can totally

overwhelm them by just having three Oreos. It's ridiculous.

Southwick: And you don't have to do a track forever.

Like you can do it just for a week or seven days of that. Whiteside: No, I'm not a proponent of that.

It can be all-consuming and it almost becomes an obsessive behavior and that's not where

our energy should be at all.

But get an idea of what you're eating and how much you're eating and start looking at it.

And do you have four or five sodas a day? Do you consume a lot of unnecessary processed sugar?

How many green vegetables do you eat in a day? Zero? One?

That's a big eye-opener for me.

I would automatically say that eat healthier for you could mean

increase your consumption of green vegetables. As specific as you can make it.

Eat more green vegetables.

Here at The Fool we did a Taste the Rainbow challenge probably two years ago, and it was

I want everyone to try to consume every color of the rainbow in a vegetable per day, which

became pretty difficult.

Red bell peppers or yellow bell peppers, and it was a fruit or vegetable, so oranges,

spinach, kale, and all of these things, but it made people recognize how narrow their diet was.

They were continually choosing or only two or three of the same exact fruits and vegetables every time.

Your micronutrients can get out of whack.

So your vitamins A, D, E, and K -- those are fat soluble vitamins -- we want to make sure

all of those are in the right proportion. You need to vary your diet and vary the colors.

That Taste the Rainbow challenge was super eye-opening for us, here.

Eat healthier can also mean are you only drinking 12 ounces of water a day? I don't know.

Let's find that out. If so, for me, I would automatically put you on a hydration challenge.

That's going to make you healthier. You're drinker more water.

You're flushing out your body. It's going to make your skin brighter.

You're going to sleep better. Water has amazing benefits that are just innumerable.

Eat healthier means something different to every single person.

You have to look at what you're consuming to figure out what that means.

Southwick: Let's talk a little bit more about the resolution of, "I'm going to exercise more!"

Whiteside: That's probably one of my favorites. I go to the gym every once in a while.

As many classes as I teach a year and outside of The Fool, everyone at the gym who's a regular

always is like, "Oh, it's January. We're going to get all these newbies in here, but don't worry.

They're going to be gone in two months, anyway. And they don't know what they're doing."

And it's like come on. We were all that new person at one time. Don't be like that.

They're probably really freaking uncomfortable.

Go out of your way to maybe make them feel a little more comfortable.

Give them a smile. A high five. A handshake.

I don't know -- whatever your choice or modality is. Invite them to a class.

Then again, a gym is not for everyone, so when you make a commitment to exercise, don't

force yourself to do something that you hate, because you're not going to do it. Get real!

Going back to the smart goals, is it smart? No. Is it specific? Maybe.

Is it measurable, achievable, realistic, and time oriented?

All of those things? No.

If you don't want to go to the gym you're not going to do it.

Don't pay the membership fee and the initiation fee.

Even if it's Planet Fitness for $10 a month, you might not notice that $10 out of your

bank account, but you're not going to go, because you're not going to enjoy it.

So find something you enjoy.

For me, I love going to hot yoga classes, so I have a hot yoga membership in town and

my goal for 2019 is to go to two classes per week. Am I going to hit that every single week? No.

Some weeks I might actually go three or four times.

Some weeks I might go zero, but make it specific and measurable, achievable and time oriented;

but something that you enjoy.

Southwick: We had people do sledge hammering for a while.

Are they still doing sledge hammer workouts? Whiteside: We did! Yeah, we called it hammer time.

Brokamp: Oh, that's so funny!

Whiteside: I didn't automatically see that as a form of exercise, but hi, it's heavy.

You're moving it around. It's getting your heart rate up.

It's a different form of weight training that I just never thought humanly possible.

Southwick: And it worked for some people here...

Whiteside: It did! Southwick: … that probably had

never tried something else before.

Whiteside: And those awesome Fools did not ever want to come to a full fitness class,

which is totally fine. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

They didn't want to go to a gym, but they felt comfortable swinging sledge hammers.

They were doing exercises that I do with kettlebells in a kettlebell class. I just didn't know that.

But I joined them one day and almost took my shin off and never went back. It's fine.

Would I buy their sledge hammers?

The thing is just to find something that you enjoy, stick to it, and create a goal around it.

Southwick: You guys talked about how GroupOn is kind of a fun place to mine ideas for activities.

Brokamp: Yes, I was doing this for Christmas shopping; looking for experiences rather than

presents for my family but noticing how many fitness-oriented GroupOns there are.

And the great thing about that is first of all, it's a significant discount, usually,

but it's a way to try something without going all-in. You get the GroupOn, whatever you get.

You get a month access to something.

You go to the trampoline place, or the workout place, or whatever exercise is there.

There's dancing. There's Zumba. All kinds of things.

It's a cheaper way to just try something and you might end up liking it.

Whiteside: Absolutely. Try something new.

I really want to get back into rock climbing. I haven't rock climbed in a long time.

We have a rock climbing group here at The Fool.

That's probably going to be the way that I'm going to get back into rock climbing, is because

I know that there's friends and there's a social component to it.

I know this also works for Bro -- find your clan. Find your group.

Find your posse. Find your people. Find your Broskis.

Find whomever that is and create some accountability.

EVERYDAY MAKEUP TUTORIAL VLOG | LONDON MARTINEZ - Duration: 19:09.

welcome to London motherlover or I should say welcome to

my apartment Hi guys! it's me so I wanted to get out of the

studio and do a little something

different today.

What better way to show you my

everyday makeup routine then showing you

where I actually do it everyday. Genius!

So I'm here filming out of my apartment

in downtown Orlando Florida and here is

my little vanity that I have right here.

It's a mess. If you guys don't have a

vanity or an area where you can sit down

and do your makeup or do your skincare

if you're not into makeup

it is amazing! It's one of my favorite

places to sit down and pamper myself and

it helps me actually do a skincare

routine, so I highly recommend mucho but

yeah this where I do my face every day

and now everybody knows where I live because

there's only like four of these

high-rises in downtown Orlando and yeah great!

The Sun is setting right now I feel like

the Sun is setting like sooner and

sooner I feel like it's almost like five

o'clock it's just like 5:15 p.m. and

look at this I have like the best views

ever

and I don't know if you guys can see

this little spot but pretty much they

painted the outside, there you go they

painted the outside of the building and

there's this huge paint drop here on the

other side of the glass that I swear I

swear it drives me so psycho I want to

like climb on the outside of the

building like a sky scraper and scrape

this off it drives me nuts so enough about my

issues that's a different video that's a

different video that's a series so let's

get started

and let's do this face

oh my god I need a tan so bad

mama needs a tan come on Sun I just realized

I look like my default picture should I

change my shirt I love how I'm filming an

everyday makeup routine and it's dark

that's probably why I wrote when the sun goes

down that's all i ever see all right

let me focus so i've already put on an

under-eye cream and i put on a

moisturizer on my face next i always do

my brows okay this is real life in this

video you guys after i put on

moisturizer I have to like wipe off and

make sure there's no moisturizer

anywhere where I have my little brows because

if there's any moisturizer moisturizer

because if there's any moisturizer on my

little hairs then the pencil's just

going to slip around so alright guys so

this video is real life okay so i'ma

show you stuff youtubers and beauty

gurus on YouTube don't ever really show

it's not cute but it's real life well

I'm the type that I get ready out of my

little makeup bag and I zip it up and I

take it with me I also like to put

things in my makeup bag that I want to

use but also I have a problem like I

love finishing products like completely

is there anybody out there like

that I know there's people out there

like that because I've even looked up

YouTube videos on how to scrape every

ounce of a product out okay so think

about it am I crazy for looking that up

on YouTube am I crazy-er than the person

that actually filmed that tutorial

think about that right that's what I say

so I'm good over here so I carry

around with me and I'm forced to use

only the things in here until they're

absolutely gone and it works for me and

I love it

and I feel great it's very satisfying

when you completely use up a product

so a lot of these products are like down

to the wire I'm like scraping it it looks

really sad this is real life that it

real life today what I've been using

lately in my makeup bag you can't even

tell anymore these two little eye

pencils from Iman

they were extremely long and now they're

all the way down to these little bits

and I can't wait till I'm done with

these so I'm gonna do my eyebrows and I

love using pencil for my eyebrows I

don't like doing a million steps I will

do an eyebrow routine and go into depth

on my eyebrows because my whole entire

life I've been doing my eyebrows since I

was like 16 is the first thing I

ever did 16 I wasn't allowed to touch

makeup I wasn't

I have gum in my mouth

Oh my God be a professional London

I'm just gonna pencil in my eyebrows and

I'll be right back

[Music]

boom and it is dark outside so next for

concealer is this Born This Way by Too

Faced this is pretty new I went through

and I scraped two pieces my last two

concealers that I had so I just put one

little drop or one little dot under each

eye and I blend it out with my finger

and I just pat it out with my finger I

don't like to use a beauty blender or a

beauty sponge to blend out my concealer

because I feel like it just soaks up so

much of the prodjuct product I can't

speak I feel like it just soaks up so

much of the product and it sheers it out

and concealer is the one thing that I

want like I need the coverage

mama got dark circles I hate this time

change I just feel like I mean I'm just

getting ready for my day it just makes me

feel like the day is gone well I'm

just gonna get undressed now and take a

shower and go back to bed so now I'm

setting my under eyes and I love using

this Kat Von D powder

it's a blotting powder and the shade

light I love this powder it's very

lightweight and it adds a little

brightness this powder also has like

blurring I don't think it says it but I

definitely see it like it blurs your

pores and everything oh and did I say

this is a no foundation routine I don't think I said

that but yeah I live in Florida and it's

so hot all the time I don't know I have

great skin though I was blessed with

great skin so I just don't wear

foundation on a regular basis and I just

I don't know if I like it yeah if you

don't need foundation by all means do

not use it okay now is where the

judgement kicks in bronzer I go through

bronzer so quickly that I love to use

like drugstore bronzers or cheap

bronzers and inexpensive bronzers

here's another trick that I like to do

is using a darker face powder so this is

or this was the fit me powder and this is in

the shade mocha 360 that's not my shade color

this is an all-over face color and I

have just a little bit left that I am

determined on using you know sorry guys

I'm looking at my big old mirror over

here on my vanity I'm gonna use every

little drop of this but yeah so if you

can't find a bronzer that you like try a

darker shade face powder I love this

one that's warm they also have a shade

called coconut that's really good but if

you're close to my skin shade or lighter

you'd be able to use as a bronzer that's

one of my little tips and tricks from

the drugstore another one of my little

tips and tricks is using the second

compartment in here it usually carries

it holds a sponge but I have another

face powder I'm working on this is the

fit me powder matte and poreless in a

lighter shade and I used to use that to

set my under eyes but I like the way it

looks under my under eyes and touch up

with it throughout the day so it's like

I have a little compact with me to go I

always use the second little compartment

for something or it's great for holding

eyelashes if you're on the go you heard

it here first guys the next step that I

love to do is I love using bronzer in my

crease so I'll just put it right here

and I'll take it down my nose and yes I

do this every day because I just feel

like it's quick and easy and I'm already

here

so might as well I'm already here

you know what I'm saying I don't know I

just really love the way that it looks

and it's very flattering for my face

shape and

and it looks like I

I look a little more put together

and it looks like I have eye shadow on and

it's just it's just bronzer in the

crease I'm contouring a little bit and I

like to I like to do this while I'm here

while it's loaded on the brush you know

when you put a tiny bit under your

bottom lip it makes your bottom lip look

like protruding what is it protruding

more I guess out there more like it's so

out there there's a shadow underneath

your lip and it makes it look bigger and

juicier ok cool next step is highlight

and yes I like to highlight everyday I

think it brings back a natural glow to

the face and it's a quick and easy step

and I think it looks beautiful and also

I have a few highlighter that I'm trying

to use up like this one is from wet and

wild this is a mega glow highlighting

powder and this is in the shade precious

petals I've been having fun with this

guy I just add it to the tops of my

cheeks what is this area called the tops of my

cheeks right tip of my nose and I like

to highlight my forehead

Cupid's bow right above the lip

sometimes I put a little on my chin why not today

just marry them together

look lately over here do you guys see

that it looks like I took my eyebrow

pencil and I was like I got lazy with it

but I have like this vein that runs up

this side of my head and it kind of

adjoins with my eyebrow do you guys get

I'm saying but yeah it looks like I

messed up my eyebrow pencil next is

blush I love blush just a little tip

even when you have a full face of makeup

whenever you add blush it makes I don't

know it just makes it look more natural

instantly it's almost kind of like

you're naturally flushed and even

when you wear a full face of makeup full

coverage everything you add blush and it

just instantly makes everything look

more natural more skin like I don't know

if you understand me try it at home

I swear so that's why I love bush because

I feel like it just instantly makes

everything look natural so this is by

NYX and this is in the shade ignite or

passion it has two names sir

oh I'm such a youtuber blush my little

cheekies

this is when I feel creepy because I

just smiled to myself in my own mirror

love that next I love a setting spray

well actually this one's not a setting

spray I love to do this Rose glow mist

and I do this every single day this is

by pixie do I have to do the YouTube

hand oh yeah this is new they used to

have just the glow mist and now they

added rose so I had to pick it up

because it's beautiful and it smells

like rose

oh this is just a um oh this is another

little tip of mine usually when you

order makeup online it comes

sometimes they have like these cute

little cardboard inserts in them so I

keep them on my vanity I think they look

beautiful and they look you know like

pop art on your vanity and then they're

also functional because I'm always

trying to find something to fan myself

down with you see what a beautiful glow

that gives to the skin I love that glow

mist it's just so pretty and it takes

away some of the powdery-ness so it

doesn't look heavy at all and it's just

like it looks like skin then for my last

step I'm going to put on mascara and

what I'm currently using I can't wait to

finish this I'm having like a love-hate

relationship with this mascara this is

by elf this is a three in one mascara it

um it has a very interesting wand I

don't understand how the end is like a

little ball like that they just want you

to screw up your face I mean it does a

pretty okay job I just

it stays sticky for a while and then my

bottom lashes stick to my top lashes

sometimes and

then for my lower lashes

I've been trying out this little sample

from IT cosmetics the superhero lash I

use a different mascara for my lower

lashes because for the lower lash I

really need to use something dependable

the most work I've put into my face is

my under eyes like my nose I have dark

circles I don't want that to move

anywhere it is a worse feeling when you

put on mascara on your lower lashes and

then all of a sudden it touches and like it's

so it takes so long to correct that you

know you gotta like scrape it off and it

fix it all over again

and so you have to use something that's

really dependable so I tested this one

day as soon as I got it and it worked

it didn't transfer that elf one

transferred on me like crazy so he's on

lower lash line

time out he's been terminated from the

lower lash line it's also very important

to do your mascara last because if you

do a face spray it can make the mascara

transfer and also if you do your mascara

and then you do face powders the powders

can get onto your mascara and make it

clumpy or it could make it it can

lighten it in color it can make it look

foggy or greyish it won't be as bold

black as when you first applied the

mascara so it's always very important to do

your mascara last very helpful tip so yeah

I'm pretty much done

I always just wear chapstick every day I

love my lips I take very good care of my

lips they're always moisturizes I

have to before I go to bed first thing

I wake up in the morning when I work out

I always have to have a chapstick on so

I just use that every every day I

just doing a little chapstick get a

little moisturization

and then a little extra step sometimes

that I do like again don't judge me this

is this is NYX taupe that it was like

all over YouTube for a while it's a

great contour shade it's really a blush

from NYX but it's so cool toned that I

use this as a contour I don't feel like

contouring I don't contour on the

day to day basis I just like

bronze my nose I contour my nose a

little bit so for this sometimes I just

grab it and a little tiny shader I love

this brush this is the Morphe E36 this

is the softest pencil brush you will

find I love doing this for tiny little

detail work under the lower lash line a

little closer for you guys so then I

like to do this step because it just I

have little fine lines and

wrinkles under my eyes and so this step

is kind of like a little trick because

it hides them a little bit Kim

Kardashian does this a lot

alot of she brings it down really

low it just adds a little natural

shadow under there I said natural

that is it you guys that is my everyday

makeup routine so just to recap it's just

brow concealer bronzer blush highlight

mascara a face glow mist and a little

bit underneath the lower lash line a

little shadow underneath I just want to

point out also my eye look today is

made out of a bronzer and a contour what

I always like to tell people is powder

is powder and you can use it anywhere on

your face so it looks like I have a

whole eye shadow look and it's with face

powders but yeah that's it so I hope you

guys enjoyed this video I hope you

enjoyed this little kind of like a vlog

style a different video type instead of

me being in the studio all

the time and like always leave me a

comment down below let me know what you

want to see follow me on social media

and um I need my manager to help me with my outtro

so thanks for hanging out with me thank you so

much for watching and I love you guys

milonga los hermanos mercedes sosa tutorial guitarra - Duration: 13:50.

Hello! How are you?

I'm going to talk about the "Los hermanos"milonga

Flok song from Argentina I played with my father many years ago

and my mother. She sang and he played guitar with me

we have played it live and did some little tours

We had a band called "Trío Orígenes"

singing mostly Atahualpa Yupanqui songs, he is the composer of this one

and my father asked me to explain how to play this song

I think he did for you to know

Because as I said he played this with me

and maybe he is nostalgic

Milonga rythm is a little tricky

chords are quite easy, even we do not use all the fingers we should

because of the arpeggio

but right hand is a bit tricky, it's easy but

you have to automate the movement

for chords, you have in the description videos

links where I explained them

and so the video is not so long

tab is on "lacuerda.net"

I give you the link in the description

and as you can see in the tab, the song is a three verse song

with different sizes

each verse increases in 4 measures

first verse is 16 measures or 4 whole parts

next 20 or 5 whole parts

and next 24 or 6 complete parts

It's interesting that verses have not the same measures

I'll give you a link in the description

where Mercedes Sosa does a version like this

I'm going to explain Mercedes sosa's guitarrist playing

not atahualpa's one. This version of Mercedes Sosa is better for me

and thats why I show you this one

3 verses and we always do

intro - verse and variation at the end

as you saw when I played it, and then we return to the intro

intro - verse - end of verse variation x3

I put the tab but

as I say in the tap we have to put a capo

on fret 3 string 3, at the intro

we use two open strings

hammer on on frets 6 and 7

and the open strings 2 and 1

we repeat

three times and slide down from fret 6 to 5 on 3rd string

again the two open strings, I repeat

hammer on 4 to 5 frets

and 7 to 8

each time I use the two open strings

let's do what we have

and now fret 7, 5

only open 2nd string

now the 3 strings open

when I say open I mean 3rd fret, because of the capo

I repeat again, slow

we go to string 4

hammer on from 7 to 8

twice

7, two open strings

5, one open string

4, 2nd string open and 1st string on fret 5

this is part of the B7 chord

I repeat it, slow only second part

first and second part

and then Am, and look how I do

thumb on string 5, index on 4th

ring and middle on 3rd and 2nd

and index on 4th

If I say Am I mean Cm

because of the capo

G without the 4th finger

as the arpeggio provoques it is not necessary

4th with index

3rd and 2nd with ring and middle

index again

now a B7, we do not use finger 4 again

these three are enough

the whole intro

then we start the verse

this is the milonga rythm

let's see right hand, thumb on 6th string

index, and middle+ring 4th and 3rd+2nd

thumb on 6th, index on 4th, middle and ring 2nd and 3rd

5th string

again indes 4th, middle and ring 2nd and 3rd

and 5th

then index, middle and ring all together

this is 4/4 but 3/8+3/8+2/8

with Em we only have to count on finger 4

to add a C

Eb in this case

and then with the rest of the fingers

when we got it

it will be easier, but beleive me, it's a bit tricky

now B7 withoput finger 4

we put finger to on F#

I mean A

it is really a B/ but woth the low note on F#

but we have to use finger 4 again

to fifth string to do the same

once in Em

twice B7

and Em again

this is repeated each phrase

on verse

16 measures

and the we go to E/G#

feel free to do this part as you want, I like to do it

thumb on 6th, indes on 4th

mddle and ring 2nd and 3rd

I repeat index, middle and ring, index, middle and ring

3 times

Am or Cm to be honest!

this twice, but feel free to do it as you want

there is a rittardando and no rythm moment

G

without finger 4

B7 without finger 4

then once. I mean 3, 2 , 3 , 1

I mean 1 time = index, middle+ring

3

2

3

1

then, we go to the intro again

and we repeat verse, end of verse, intro, verse, end of verse

each verse increments in 4 measures

the whole song but slower

and thats the way to play Milonga de los hermanos

Ok, be good
