-Hello, "AGT" fans.

I'm Merrick Hanna, and you're watching "Talent University,"

the show where we help make your "AGT" dreams a reality.

Today I'm going to teach you three lessons

that will you get ready for the "AGT" stage.

The first move I will be teaching is The Wave.

And it looks like this.

So, the first step, when doing The Wave,

is you have to move your wrists up and then down.

Twist your arm so that your elbow is facing up,

and you have to make this shape.

So, it goes up, down, here.

Then, after that, you have to poke your shoulder up...

your other shoulder up...

and you have to do the same thing.

You have to turn your arm, with your elbow facing up,

and then wrist, wrist.

And that's it. I can do it the other way.

It goes, wrist, wrist, twist your elbow facing up,

shoulder, shoulder, twist your elbow,

wrist, wrist.

So, using all these choppy motions,

what you can do is,

if you put all of them kind of together,

you can create more of a fluid look to it.

A helpful tip is practicing your wave in front of the mirror

and looking at what it looks like.

Your next move is the Head Isolation.

Now, this is a really complicated move,

but when you do it correctly, it looks really awesome.

So, the head isolation is a weird illusion,

where you're using multiple parts of your body at once.

So, the first thing you're going to need to do is

put your head out as forward as possible.

And then you're going to need to pull your shoulders back.

And try to keep your shoulders, like, upright.

The next step -- you're just going to

bring your shoulders forward again,

but try not to move your head, so it should look like this.

♪♪

Then, you're just going to keep doing that...

again and again.

And you can add little hand motions

to make it look cooler, like...

♪♪

Variations of this move are doing it sideways...

♪♪

...or in a circle.

And that's the Head Isolation.

The final move is called The Glide.

The illusion is, it looks like

you're just twisting your legs in random directions.

But then you're floating across the floor.

When I first saw The Glide,

I thought it was like a sideways Moonwalk.

The first step, when doing a Glide,

is taking your right foot, or whichever foot is

farthest away from the area you're trying to move to,

And you're almost going to,

like, move it across your other leg

like it's a snake.

And you're going to push off.

And you're going to do the same thing again...

like that.

It helps if, when you push,

you kind of land on your toe and twist, almost.

And do that over and over again.

And you can do the other way.

And it should -- it's a Glide.

Gliding on a carpet in a constrained space

is a bit difficult,

so here is me doing it on the "AGT" stage.

♪♪

These are just a few ways that you can

put all of the three moves I taught you together.

So, you could be doing a Wave,

and then you could do a Head Isolation.

And pass it off like this.

You could be doing a Wave and a Glide at the same time.

You could be doing all of them at the same time,

although it's a bit tricky.

The possibilities are endless.

Thanks for watching "Talent University."

Learn English with Esther | 24 Easy English Lessons for Beginners - Duration: 1:34:47.

Hi everybody. I'm Esther.

And in this video we're going to talk about some important English expressions.

And let's first start with 'like' and 'like to'.

'I like' and 'I like to'.

First let's look at the board for some examples.

With 'I like', we have to put a person place or thing. Right?

So let's look. "I like cookies." Right?

Food is a thing.

So I could say, "I like cookies. I like pizza."

Okay the next one.

"I like English."

English is a subject in school so that's another thing.

So I can also say, "I like math".

Right?

The next one is "I like you."

You is a person.

I can say, "I like him. I like Sally".

Right? I can say a person.

And "I like dogs."

That's another thing.

I like dogs. Or for me, personally, I like cats as well.

Okay so let's first try these examples.

A little bit faster.

Now please try to follow with me.

"I like cookies."

"I like cookies."

"I like English."

"I like English."

"I like you."

"I like you."

and "I like dogs."

"I like dogs."

Okay. The second example is, 'I like to'.

Now we put a 'to' here.

That means, after, I have to put an activity.

Right? An activity.

For example, "I like to dance."

"I like to dance."

But what I want you to listen for is that 'to'

becomes just like a /t/.

Now it's okay to say, "I like to dance."

"I like to dance."

That's okay. But most native English speakers

will kind of get rid of the 'o' and say, "I like to dance."

"I like to dance."

Here's the next one. "I like to sing."

"I like to sing."

"I like to study."

"I like to shop."

Okay so these are all personally things that I like to do.

Actually I love to do them.

But 'like to' and 'like' is a little more common.

Okay so let's practice these four examples one more time.

A little more quickly.

And please try to follow me.

"I like to dance."

"I like to dance."

"I like to sing."

"I like to sing."

"I like to study."

"I like to study."

"I like to shop."

"I like to shop."

Okay let's look at some more examples together.

I like school.

I like school.

I like dresses.

I like dresses.

I like pizza.

I like pizza.

I like money.

I like money

I like vacations.

I like vacations.

I like food.

I like food.

I like to eat.

I like to eat.

I like to exercise.

I like to exercise.

I like to walk.

I like to walk.

I like to drink coffee.

I like to drink coffee.

I like to meet friends.

I like to meet friends.

I like to travel.

I like to travel.

Okay so now we're going to move on to the expressions 'I don't like'.

And 'I don't like to'

Okay.

So if you look at the board,

I've changed 'I like' to 'I don't like'.

Now it's the same.

At the end, I have to say a person, a place, or thing,

Okay?

So let's look at them together.

"I don't like sushi."

Let's try it a little bit faster.

"I don't like sushi."

"I don't like sushi."

Okay the next one is

"I don't like math."

Right?

We can say, "I hate..."

but "I don't like" is more common.

"I don't like math."

Again a little faster.

"I don't like math."

"I don't like math."

The next one is...

"I don't like him."

"I don't like him."

"I don't like him."

And the last one.

"I don't like snakes."

Right, a lot of women don't like snakes.

"I don't like snakes."

"I don't like snakes."

Okay.

The second example is...

'I don't like to'.

'I don't like to'.

Remember, at the end of this, we have to put an action.

Something that we do.

Right?

So we can say, "I don't like to run."

"I don't like to run."

Remember, again, the 'to'...

You can say, "I don't like to" or "I don't like to".

"I don't like to run."

Let's try the next one.

"I don't like to study."

"I don't like to study."

Okay? After that...

"I don't like to drink."

A little faster.

"I don't like to drink."

"I don't like to drink."

And the last one is...

"I don't like to fight."

Right?

It can get a little bit scary right?

"I don't like to fight."

"I don't like to fight."

Let's look at more... some more examples together.

Okay let's look at some examples.

"I don't like spiders."

"I don't like spiders."

"I don't like snow."

"I don't like snow."

"I don't like winter."

"I don't like winter."

"I don't like chicken feet."

"I don't like chicken feet."

"I don't like heels."

"I don't like heels."

"I don't like ugly guys."

"I don't like ugly guys."

"I don't like to work."

"I don't like to work."

"I don't like to hike."

"I don't like to hike."

"I don't like to wash dishes."

"I don't like to wash dishes."

"I don't like to clean up."

"I don't like to clean up."

"I don't like to eat alone."

"I don't like to eat alone."

"I don't like to drink soju."

"I don't like to drink soju."

Okay so in this video we talked about the expressions

'I like...'

' I like to...'

and 'I don't like...'

'I don't like to...'

But, uh, before we close up I'm going to

talk about 'I like' and 'I don't like' one more time

because there are other ways to say the same thing.

Instead of 'I like', I can also say, 'I enjoy', or 'I love'.

But remember, 'love' is very strong.

Right, for example "I love cats."

"I also love dogs." Right?

So 'love' is stronger than 'like'.

Okay, the next part is 'I don't like'.

I can also say, 'I dislike'

Again, 'I dislike'.

For example, "I dislike snakes."

Right?

or "I hate snakes."

Similar to 'love', 'hate' is a very strong way of saying I don't like something.

For example, "I hate snakes."

Right, "I hate snakes."

Okay, so I hope that helped and hope to see you guys next time.

Bye bye.

Hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I'm going to teach you how to ask

someone for permission okay so before I teach you that let's first talk about

what permission means okay so when you want to ask someone if it's okay to do

something you're asking for permission okay again you want to do something you

don't know if it's okay so you ask someone for example maybe you

want to borrow something then you should ask someone if you just take it that's

stealing right so you have to ask is it okay alright so there are three ways to

ask for permission in English the first way is to say can I can I okay the

second way is could I could I and the third way is may I may I okay so

can I could I and may I are all good ways to ask for permission but the third

one may I is more polite okay so if you want

to ask somebody who has more power maybe your parents may be your teacher then

you should say may I maybe even to somebody that you don't know very well

it's better to say may I because again it's more polite so let's

look at these examples okay so I've written can I could I and

may I on the board remember after these three you have to

say a verb okay so let's look at the verbs help see have call borrow go speak

and go again okay so I know I went through that a little bit quickly but

we're gonna go through it slowly now okay

so here's what we'll do I'm gonna read and try to switch some around okay so

can I help you can I help you let's try that a little bit faster can I help you

can I help you now remember you can also say could I and may I for example if

you're walking through a department store and the salesperson comes to you

they would probably say may I help you because they want to be polite to the

customer so again may I help you okay can I see you again can I see you

again a little bit faster can I see you again maybe you like someone you met

them and you like them and you want to see them again next time so you say can

I see you again okay can I have some water

can I have some water a little bit faster can I have some water okay let's

try a couple with could could I call you later could I call you later again

remember you can use all three but we're doing could could I call you later

could I borrow some money okay you usually borrow money from a friend or

somebody that you know so that's why it's better to say maybe can I or could

I could I borrow some money okay could I go could I go you want to leave so

you're asking if it's okay could I go okay and remember

may I is polite okay you want to say that to someone who's a little bit more

important maybe someone you don't know again you would use me I so may I speak

to mr. Kim maybe you called his office okay so you say may I speak to mr. Kim

and the last one may I go to the bathroom this one is maybe if

you're asking a teacher right you're in class and you have to go you can ask a

teacher may I go to the bathroom again can I could can and could are both okay

but maybe it's more polite if you want to be polite you should say may I go to

the bathroom and I'm sure the teacher will like that better because you're

being polite okay so in this video we learned three ways to ask for permission

let's go through them one more time can I could I and may I okay well I hope I

helped and I'll see you guys next time bye

hi everybody my name is Esther and in this video we're going to talk about how

to use the word can and can't so first of all let's talk about the meaning of

these words ken means you are able to do something

maybe because you have the skill or maybe because your body allows you to do

that thing and can't it's the opposite right you can't do something you're not

able to do something because you don't have the skill or your body doesn't

allow you to do it okay let's move on to the pronunciation how do we pronounce

these words correctly now I know it's not easy but I know you if you keep

practicing you're gonna get better believe me so let's look at the first

one now this one actually sounds like a man's name 10/10 you'll notice it sounds

more like an e then it doesn't a again practice with me Ken now this one is

can't if you look down here I've written the word ant like the insect chemi right

kami and with the C in front so practice with me can't can't yes again Ken can't

ken can't okay well let's see if you guys can put

it in a sentence i hmm do it i can do it i can do it i can't do

it i can't do it let's do a couple more practices together okay so let's start

practicing with the word ken first here are some examples on the board let's

start with the first one I can swim I can swim I can swim make sure you guys

are following along let's go on to the next one the next one 8 right and let's

try it with she she can eat she can eat she can eat okay

after that is read and let's use he he can read he can read he can read after

that is drive and let's use they with that one they can drive they can drive

they can drive after that run right we we can run we can run we can run okay

let's move on to theme and let's do you you can sing you can sing you can sing

reminding you that ten are okay it's pronounced Ken let's go on to the next

one dance and let's go back up to I I can dance I can dance I can dance and

the last one speak English right let's do that with I as well because I know

you want to be able to say this I can speak English I can speak English I can

speak English alright let's move on to can't okay so

now we're going to prep this with Kent you can see I've only changed this by

putting a t here changing Ken to can't so let's practice again make sure you

guys are following after me I can't swim I can't swim I can't swim let's move on

to eat she can't eat maybe she's full right she can't eat she can't eat next

one is read let's do he he can't read he can't read

he can't read after that is drive and let's use they they can't drive they

can't drive they can't drive next one is run let's use we we can't run we can't

run we can't run after that the next one is seen oh you

you can't sing you can't sing you can't sing dance hmm let's do they they can't

dance they can't dance they can't dance and speak English

hmm let's say you can't speak English well that's what I'm here to help you

with but let's practice again you can't speak

English you can't speak English but again that's something that we're

going to change as we keep practicing okay and let's try a test now okay so

let's try a practice test together it's not that hard all you have to do is

listen carefully and as I read these sentences you have to see if listen and

see if I'm using one can or two can't all right so I'll do this slowly

let's try it together the first one let's do swim and let's use I I can swim

I can swim which one do you think I used well if you listen carefully yes I use

number one ken let's go on to the next one eat and let's try she she can eat

she can eat yes I did number one again Ken after that is read and let's use he

he can't read he can't read that was the second one

can't how about drive let's use he again he

can drive he can drive yes that was number one he can drive after

that run let's use they they can't run they can't run maybe they're too tired

right then I use number two they can't run let's move on to the next one scene

we can't sing we can't sing yes that was number two

next is dance let's do dance again let's do me again we can't dance we

can't dance yes again I said can't number two and the last one you can

speak English you can speak English yes the last one was can number one you can

speak English how did you guys do well that's the end of our quiz I know that

it's difficult and it's gonna take a lot of time but you can do it I'll see you

guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video we're going to talk about how to

describe the cost or price of something now this is important to people like me

who like shopping right so for example I like shopping especially for dresses so

I might say the cost of this dress is affordable okay this dress is affordable

affordable means that this dress is not too expensive I have enough money and I

can pay for this dress I have enough money I can buy this dress so I would

say this dress is affordable I can also say this dress is in expensive we all

know what expensive is but we say in expensive so that's the opposite in

expensive affordable and inexpensive have very similar meanings again I have

enough money to buy this it's not too expensive then we have cheap this dress

is cheap now cheap is similar it means it's not expensive but it's a little bit

more negative if you say that something is cheap people may think that the

quality is not very good it's not very nice okay now let's look at the opposite

the opposite of these words is expensive this dress is expensive it costs a lot

of money and too much money maybe I don't want to buy it we can also say

overpriced this dress is overpriced that means the price is too high

so again I don't want to buy this dress it's too expensive and overpriced okay

let's look at some more examples together

let's look at some examples the Hat was affordable because it was on sale the

Hat was affordable because it was on sale next I wish this bag was more

affordable I wish this bag was more affordable next this computer is

surprisingly inexpensive this computer is surprisingly inexpensive next these

shoes look beautiful but they are too cheap these shoes look beautiful but

they are too cheap next that jacket is too expensive that jacket is too

expensive lest I cannot buy this overpriced bag I

cannot buy this overpriced bag ok so in this video we learned that when we want

to describe the cost of something as not too expensive we say affordable ok

something is affordable if it's not too expensive if I can buy it with the money

I have on the other hand if something is not affordable if the cost is very high

we say expensive or overpriced for me I think some brands like H&M and forever

21 are affordable some people don't think this way they

think it's cheap sometimes yes some of the items can be cheap but for me I like

those brands because they are affordable another store that I like in Korea it's

called Zara or tada in Korea as they say they have some

items that are affordable and some items that are very expensive too expensive

for me to buy ok well that's what I wanted to share in this video thanks for

watching bye

hello my name is Esther and in this video we're going to talk about how to

use the word borrow or lend me well when do we use this word well let me give you

an example let's say that you're taking a test and you look in your bag and oh

oh you forgot your pencil so what do you do you have to ask someone next to you

or maybe a friend to let them use your pencil and a mistake that a lot of

people make is they say can you borrow me your pencil but that's actually wrong

don't say that don't say can you borrow me your pencil

the actual way to say it goes like this let's look at an example sentence can I

borrow your pencil that's the correct way to say it can I borrow your pencil

okay another way that you can say is can you lend me your pencil let's look at it

again can you lend me your pencil now both of

these ways are okay and they're both correct and right but I think this one

is a better way to say it again let's remember it's not can you

borrow me okay don't say that say this can I borrow your pencil let's look at a

couple more examples sentences is it okay if I borrow your book is it okay if

I borrow your book may I borrow some money may I borrow some money can I

borrow your umbrella can I borrow your umbrella can you lend me your ear a sir

can you lend me your ear a sir would you lend me your book

would you lend me your book please lend me a pen please lend me a pen

alright now in the beginning of the video I taught you to say can I borrow

something can I borrow your pencil but actually there's a more polite way to

say this and that is by saying may I borrow something from you you should use

may I when you're talking to someone you don't know very well maybe it's a

complete stranger or maybe you know that person but you guys aren't really close

friends it's better to use may I so again may I borrow something for

example may I borrow your pen or may I borrow your phone

or maybe like I said in the example in the beginning may I borrow your pencil

or eraser ok well that's it for today I hope you guys learn something and I'll

see you guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I'm going to teach you a very

important English word now everybody in Korea should know this word because it

gets this way every summer in Korea right well not just in the summer but

also in some other seasons and that word that we're going to learn today is humid

again humid so this word you need to know it and you especially need to

mention this word when you describe Korea's weather to any foreigners okay

so if they ask what's the weather like in Korea you have to say humid well what

does humid mean well again humid is used to describe whether it means that it's

very wet and hot right you know what I mean so even my best friend

she comes to Korea every year from Southern California which is where I'm

from and she complains about this all the time it's so humid right it's so hot

and wet and she complains about this because where we're from it's not like

that it's hot but it doesn't get very humid so let's look at the board for

some examples on how to use the word okay so here it is today is very humid

today is very humid so that's the word I want to teach you today humid but there

are some other ways to say the same thing instead of humid we can say a

couple of other words for example we can say today is very muggy today is very

muggy okay muggy means humid again hot and wet we can also say today is very

sticky today is very sticky so humid muggy and

sticky all have the same meaning when you're describing the weather now I told

you that where I'm from it's not humid it's hot but it's not humid so what's

the opposite of humid that word is dry so if it's not humid I can say today is

very dry today is very dry ok well let's look at some more example sentences

together ok let's look at some example sentences it's too humid turn on the

air-conditioner it's too humid turn on the air-conditioner

I hate humid weather it's too sticky I hate humid weather it's too sticky

the rain makes it muggy the rain makes it muggy California is dry but Florida

is humid California is dry but Florida is humid ok so in this video we learned

the word humid make sure you guys remember it it's a very important word

in Korea because it describes Korea's weather and summer perfectly now as for

me I've been here for a couple of years and I'm still trying to get used to it

but I have to say I like dry weather better okay well thanks for joining and

see you guys next time bye

hi everybody my name's Esther and in this video I want to talk about a very

important vocabulary word for all Koreans to know okay and that word is

monsoon season what is monsoon season well every summer

many foreigners come and they're surprised by how much rain there is

right in the summer in Korea for about one month usually in July there's a lot

of rain okay and in English we call that the monsoon season so it's very

important for Koreans to have a good umbrella maybe some rain boots right but

also it can cause some problems for some businesses and homes if there's

too much rain and flooding right so if you see a foreigner and they ask about

summer in Korea it's very important that you remember that you tell them about

monsoon season okay so let's look on the board and look at this example sentence

the monsoon season in Korea begins in summer right I just talked about that

again the monsoon let's pronounce it together monsoon monsoon so the monsoon

season in Korea begins in summer and as we said the monsoon season lasts for

about one month and there's lots of rain during the monsoon season okay let's

look at some more examples together let's look at these examples it's very

humid during the monsoon season it's very humid during the monsoon season the

monsoon season is coming the monsoon season is coming I need to buy a new

umbrella for the monsoon season I need to buy a new umbrella for the monsoon

season okay so in this video we learned up

the vocabulary word monsoon season remember it's a time in Korea when

there's a lot of rain and it's very hot and sticky right now in Southern

California where I'm from there is no monsoon season we get a little bit of

rain in the winter time which is very different from Korea but again nothing

like the rain we see here okay so that is something that I'm still trying to

get used to okay so again the word we learned is monsoon

season don't forget it and see you next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I want to talk with you about the

word lag now lag means to do something very slowly or to be very slow okay so

the word lag is appear on the board now the pronunciation it's hard I know but

you have to try and practice lag lag okay

so let's look at these examples she's lagging she's lagging this means she's

taking a long time to do something she's doing something very slowly

she's lagging the next one is stop lagging stop lagging you're telling

somebody hurry up stop being slow okay the next one is a very common problem my

computer is lagging my computer is lagging that means my computer is slow

it's slow I'm trying to do something but it's lagging it's slow and the last one

is I have jet lag I have jet lag you might hear this a lot

especially from people who are travelling so if you travel around the

world maybe to faraway country but you're gonna be changing time zones so

the time will be different and you'll feel very tired your body will feel slow

and tired and your body is taking a long time to adjust to the new time zone your

body is slow to adjust so you have to say I have jet lag okay let's look at

some more examples together okay let's look at a few examples first one she's

always late because she laughs she's always late because she lags the

next one I wish you wouldn't lag so much I wish you wouldn't lag so much next I

can't open the program because my computer is lagging I can't open the

program because my computer is lagging the last one my jet lag is terrible I

keep falling asleep my jet lag is terrible I keep falling asleep ok so in

this video we learned that we use the word lag to describe an action that is

very very slow now my best friend is someone who lags a lot whenever we want

to do something especially at night she takes almost 2 hours to get ready

she has to wash her hair or take a shower then put on her makeup you know

decide what to wear and that can take a very long time so I always have to say

to her stop lagging hurry up we're late stop lagging ok so next time if you have

a friend or somebody that's taking a very long time you can use the word lag

to say stop lagging hurry up ok well that's the end thank you bye

hi everybody my name is Esther and in this video I'm going to talk about the

word pedestrian now I think this is a really important word for all Koreans to

know because there are many pedestrians in Korea well what is a pedestrian a

pedestrian is somebody who is walking they might be walking on the street or

on the sidewalk where all the stores and restaurants are

the sidewalk or pedestrians might be crossing the street on a crosswalk

that's the section with the white lines where you have to go if you want to go

to the other side so let's look at these example sentences don't hit the

pedestrian okay so in Korea there are very many cars and drivers and they have

to be careful not to hit the people that are walking the pedestrians so don't hit

the pedestrian the pedestrian crosses the crosswalk again the crosswalk is

where the white lines are you have to walk there if you want to go to the

other side the pedestrian crosses the crosswalk the last example is there are

many pedestrians on the sidewalk remember sidewalk is the area next to

the street where pedestrians should walk it's safer right so there are many

pedestrians on the sidewalk okay and so that's how we use pedestrian remember it

means somebody who's walking okay that's all thank you bye

hello everybody my name is Esther and in this video we're going to talk about a

slang word that comes from California that's where I'm from

this slang word is actually from Northern California in areas like San

Francisco San Jose and Oakland and this word is the slang word hella mm-hmm and

it actually has two different meanings so let's look at how it's used in some

sentences okay so here's the first example sentence this room is hella hot

hmm how is hella used it's used to mean the word really or very right this room

is very hot or this room is really hot in that case we can say this room is

hella hot mm-hmm so that's the first meaning let's move

on to the second meeting and here's another example sentence there's hella

food at home hmm that doesn't match the word really right let's look there's

really food at home it doesn't make sense actually in the second sentence

hella is used to mean there's a lot of or there's many things right so in this

case instead of saying there's a lot of food at home we can say there's hella

food at home so hurry and go home and eat some of that food now under hella

I've written the word hecta and that's because some people feel uncomfortable

using the word hella right because hella has the word hell right and hell can

sometimes be used to express an emotion that's negative or very strong right and

in that case people use heck right so again instead of hella some people say

hecka mmm-hmm so we can say there's hecka food at home

again it means the same thing there's a lot of food at home there's hecka food

at home but if you don't want to use hella you can use this one and in

same way you can use hecka to substitute hella in the first sentence as well this

room is hecka hot right this room is hecka hot it's very hot in

here but I don't want to say hello but remember again this slang word hella and

hecta is actually from Northern California so you might not hear it or

people might not understand what you mean if you use it in other places such

as New York or the UK so keep that in mind okay so let's look at a couple

examples sentences this pizza is hella good this pizza is hella good you look

hella pretty you look hella pretty your hair is hecka long your hair is Haeckel

long there's hecka people at this concert

there's hecka people at this concert now remember this is the sentence where you

would use hecka to mean a lot of right so again there's hecka people at this

concert I have hella things to do I have hella things to do okay so those are the

ways that we can use hella or hecka in our everyday speech but I want to remind

you guys one more time this slang is used mostly in Northern California now

for those of you who like and enjoy hip-hop music some hip-hop artists from

that area such as efore tea and the Federation use the slang word in their

music they use hella mostly so next time you decide to listen to some of their

music I hope you guys can understand a little better what they're saying and

what that word means okay well thanks see you guys next time

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video we're going to talk about a

sleighing word and that word is pissed or pissed off now before I start I want

to tell you that pissed can actually have several meanings but today we're

going to focus on one meaning and the meaning that I want to focus on is angry

okay so pissed or pissed off can mean very angry or maybe upset or annoyed

okay so before I explain a little bit more let's look at these example

sentences the first one is I'm pissed this just means I'm angry I'm upset so

again I'm pissed the next sentence is very similar I'm pissed off I'm pissed

off again these two sentences have the same meaning they both mean I'm very

angry about something or I'm very angry at somebody please also notice that we

have to say pissed in the past tense we have to say it with EB if you say I'm

pissed with alpha IDI it actually has a different meaning so again you must say

I'm pissed or I'm pissed off to show that you're angry okay here's the last

sentence I get pissed off when he lies to me that means I get angry when he

lies to me again I get pissed off when he lies to me let's make sure we also

notice the pronunciation pissed off pissed pissed off pissed and let's look

at the example sentence one more time I get pissed off when he lies

to me and for all the women out there you understand what I mean right when

someone you care about or someone you love lies to you you get angry or pissed

off right so let's look at a few more example sentences together I was pissed

off when the other car cut in front of me I was pissed off when the other car

cut in front of me don't get pissed off it was a mistake don't get pissed off it

was a mistake I'm pissed off that he didn't pay me back yet I'm pissed off

that he didn't pay me back yet okay so we looked at a couple example sentences

and we learned the word pissed or pissed off so just remember it's a very common

slang if you use it in America or another english-speaking country

everybody will know that that means you're angry or upset but remember you

should probably only use this with your friends because if you say this to

somebody that you don't know well it can seem a little bit rude okay

so please remember that when you're angry try saying pissed or pissed off

I'm pissed I'm pissed off all right well I'll see you in the next video bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video we're going to talk about an

important expression especially for those of you who are in relationships

for those of you who have a boyfriend or girlfriend and that expression is to

dump someone to dump someone well what do you think that means well for those

of you who are in a relationship maybe you're not happy hmm maybe you don't

love that person anymore or maybe that person is just really

horrible really bad so what do you do well you break up with them right you

say I don't want to be with you anymore and that's where the expression comes in

to dump someone so when you tell your boyfriend or girlfriend I don't want to

be with you anymore you are dumping them okay so let's look

at these examples first he dumped me hmm he dumped me this is a sad situation

right maybe my boyfriend didn't love me anymore or maybe I did something that

made him angry so he dumped me he doesn't want to be with me any longer

hmm I dumped him the next sentence I dumped him this one is not so bad maybe

my boyfriend was really bad or he lied too much so I kicked him I got rid of

him I dumped him okay so let's look at some more example sentences together she

dumped him because he lied to her she dumped him because he lied to her I'm

thinking about dumping my girlfriend because she's getting fat I'm thinking

about dumping my girlfriend because she's getting fat he dumped me I'm so

sad he dumped me I'm so sad okay so in this video we learned the expression to

dump someone remember you can dump a bad boyfriend or girlfriend but they can

also dump you now I want to tell you about one of my

ex-boyfriends he never had time for me he was always busy and he couldn't talk

or hang out so I had to dump him and it felt great

okay well see you guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video we're going to talk about an

important idiom hit on now hit on doesn't mean to hit right

it means you punch someone or you use your hand to hurt someone so that's not

what it means hit on means well when a guy maybe likes a girl he sees someone

and he thinks that girl is cute he wants to know her better he wants to know her

more so he might go to her and ask for her phone number

try to talk to her that's hitting on that's hit on right he's hitting on her

okay so yes a girl can hit on a guy as well usually but it's usually the guy

that hits on the girl and in Korean they say the word hunting right but in

English we have to say hit on so let's look at these examples he hit on her he

hit on her again this means he went to the girl and tried to talk to her and

know her better so maybe they can be a couple later or have a relationship

again he hit on her the next sentence says she got hit on she got hit on this

is not the same as this sentence right she didn't hit on someone she got hit on

which means that somebody hit on her so don't get that confused let's look at

some more example sentences together okay let's look at these examples she

always gets hit on at the bar she always gets hit on at the bar many guys hit on

me many guys hit on me I saw man hit on a pretty girl

I saw man hit on a pretty girl he's a womanizer he hits on every girl he's a

womanizer he hits on every girl okay so let's review one more time

we learned the idiom hit on again hit on means you like someone that you don't

know you go and talk to them again maybe try to get to know them better or their

phone number or something like that now in America yeah guys hit on girls of

course but I think in Korea a lot more Korean guys tend to hit on girls in

public places like the bus stop or on the street or maybe even on the subway

so that's the word we learned in this video and I hope to see you guys next

time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video we're going to talk about a slang

word that is what's up mm-hmm so what's up can be used in two ways the

first way is a way to greet people to say hi and actually when we say what's

up it means hi how are you or what are you doing these days right what are you

up to these days so that's the first way we use what's up

the second way is to ask what's wrong is something wrong is something bad

happening to you right so those are the two ways that we can use what's up so

let's look at these example sentences here's the first one hey Susie what's up

hey Susie what's up so this person a is asking Susie hey Susie how are you or

hey Susie what are you up to these days what are you doing these days and here

are some ways you can answer nothing much

that means there's nothing special happening in my life I'm not doing much

or maybe if they said hey Susie what's up Susie can say I'm going to the movies

she would just say what she's doing right another way remember the second

way is to ask what's wrong is everything okay so here is how we would use it you

look upset what's up again you look upset

what's up what's wrong and maybe this person would say I lost my wallet that's

why they're upset I lost my wallet so you can say why you look upset what's

going on what's wrong now let's look at how to pronounce it one more time what's

up it's almost like what's and up are blended like

connected what's up and I also want to mention that some people say what up

they take out the s what up or some people even just say sup right sup that

means the same thing but I want you guys to make sure that you use what's up and

that's the best way to say it let's look at a few more example sentences together

okay let's look at some examples long time no see

what's up long time no see what's up I was surprised to get your call what's up

I was surprised to get your call what's up what's up with you these days

what's up with you these days are you crying what's up are you crying what's

up okay so we've looked at some example sentences now let me remind you that

what's up is a great way to say hello or how are you but remember only to

somebody that you know well so maybe a friend maybe family if you're very close

but never in a business conversation and never in a formal conversation where

you're meeting with somebody very important in those cases you just want

to say how are you not what's up okay alright well I hope this video helped

you guys learn more English and see you next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I'm going to teach you an

important sling used to describe women now women in Korea are very beautiful

and maybe the reason is that they spend a lot of time and money on things like

their hair clothes makeup nails things like that right so in English the Shlaim

that we use to describe women who spend a lot of time and money to look nice are

called high maintenance again high maintenance

maybe they spend maybe one or two hours getting ready right they spend a lot of

time to look nice so maybe they're always late and people always have to

wait for them and remember high-maintenance girls also spend a lot

of money so I don't know what's a lot of money to some people but yes they spend

a lot of money or maybe their boyfriend's money on clothes hair and

any other things to look nice so let's look at these example sentences first

she is high maintenance again high maintenance describes the girl so she is

high maintenance now the opposite of high maintenance is low maintenance

right opposite of high is low so we say a girl is low maintenance if she doesn't

spend a lot of time or money to look nice she can still look nice but maybe

she's a little bit more casual right instead of wearing a dress maybe she'll

wear a t-shirt and jeans and maybe some sneakers instead of high heels or maybe

she won't wear that much makeup anyways a low maintenance girl doesn't spend too

much time or money on the way she looks so here's the next example sentence

he likes low maintenance girls right there are some guys who like low

maintenance girls more he likes low maintenance girls ok well let's look at

some more examples sentences together let's look at these examples she's very

high maintenance she spends two hundred dollars on makeup

every month she's very high maintenance she spends two hundred dollars on makeup

every month his girlfriend is too high maintenance he's thinking about breaking

up with her his girlfriend is too high maintenance

he's thinking about breaking up with her I like casual low maintenance girls I

like casual low maintenance girls she never wears makeup she's low maintenance

she never wears makeup she's low maintenance okay so in this

video we learned the slang high maintenance we learned that we use it to

describe a woman who spends a lot of time and money to look nice and we also

learned that the opposite is low maintenance a woman who doesn't spend

too much time or money to look nice now you can use high maintenance or low

maintenance to also describe men but it's not very common and yeah lots of

people wouldn't really say that and I also want to point out that in America

most men like low maintenance women being high maintenance isn't a bad thing

but men think that if a woman is low maintenance they don't have to spend so

much money or time or be stressed because of that woman so they think it

will be a simpler relationship and things like that so I think that's

important to remember all right well thanks for joining and hope to see you

guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I'm just gonna share sort story

with you about how I got my cat my cat's name is Oni and he's very precious to me

I love him very much but it wasn't like that at first so let

me tell you how I got him and yes it's a very kind of funny and strange story so

I've been in Korea for almost four years now and sometimes it gets lonely I live

alone so yeah sometimes when I come home I wish there was somebody there to say

hi to me and to keep me company right to play with me and just spend

time with me so I thought of getting a dog or a cat for some time but it was

too expensive and I knew that it was a big commitment right when you have a dog

or cat I believe you should keep that dog or cat until it dies or until I die

so that's talking maybe 15 years or more right so it was a big commitment and I

wasn't able to do it but I kind of had to do it so let me tell you how that

happened so I tutor I teach English to a couple

people in my building in my office tell and it was a Thursday I went to go tutor

my student he's in junior high school or he's in middle school and when I went to

his house something was strange all the lights were off and he looked very

nervous and usually he's only supposed to use English with me we only talk in

English but he looked very nervous and he said teacher can I just speak in

Korean can I just talk in Korean I have to tell you something I said okay what's

wrong I saw a little kitten and it was playing

around in the kitchen and it was trying to get some food hmm so I took I picked

up the kitten and I asked the student what happened where did you find this

kitten well my student told me he was walking

to school in the morning and he saw somebody leave the kitten at a bus stop

okay so my student he played with the kitten a little and then he started

walking all the way to school but the kitten followed him it wouldn't stop

following him so my student got worried he took the kitten to school his teacher

let him keep the kitten in a closet in a storage closet that's

where you keep maybe the broom all the things you clean with right and after

school my student let's call him Jay okay Jay took the kitten home and that's

why it was there but now Jay was really worried he said my mom is going to be

very angry if she sees the kitten so he wanted me he asked me to take the kitten

home and keep it and he would ask his mom to let him keep the kitten so I

didn't want to the kitten looked cute but dirty I didn't know if his mom was

going to say yes then I would have to keep the kitten it just seemed like a

big mess it just seemed like it would get really complicated really hard so I

wanted to say no but I had to say yes he looked so nervous and worried so I took

the kitten home I gave him some tuna and some water and I went back to finished

tutoring Jay so after tutoring I went back home I gave the kids in a bath I

gave him some more food and I was just waiting waiting for Jay to tell me his

mom said yes well a couple of hours passed

and he called me or he messaged me on the phone and he said his mom said no so

what choice that I have well he said he would try to find some friends at school

who could take the kitten but nothing happened he wasn't able to find anybody

and that's how I have the cat today again his name is Ogie he's very cute

he's not one-year-old yet he's maybe eight months old but he's getting pretty

big and I love him very much and at first I was worried about how I could

keep him but now I don't think I could live without him so yeah in this video I

shared with you the story of how I got my cat I hope you enjoyed it and I hope

to see you guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and I want to share an interesting story with you guys

in this video and the story is about a cunt a a pervert that I saw while I was

still in America okay so while I was in college

I used to work at a discount store a big discount store and this was during

winter during Christmas time so it was very busy and I my job was to work as a

cashier so I would work the cash registers and get money and things like

that but when it wasn't busy I would walk around the store and I would help

customers find their way one morning it wasn't that busy and a Mexican man came

in he was a customer and he was wearing pajama pants

okay pajama pants now in Korea that seems weird but in America a lot of

people actually wear pajama pants if they're just going somewhere close to

their house because just it's just more comfortable so I didn't think that was

weird but when he was closer I noticed something was a little bit different or

something was wrong his pajama pants were green but I don't know what there

was something weird about this bottom part okay so I didn't really know what

it was but a little later I heard my coworker

she's a little bit older than I am and she's very protective right she wants to

make sure I'm safe and that everything's okay

I heard her yelling at that man to get out right she was very angry get out

don't come back right and later I realized

he actually was showing his man area to me and the other women in the store and

I was just disgusted ill right so that's what happened and that's my interesting

story so see you guys next time bye

hi everybody my name is Esther and in this video I want to tell you about a

horrible trip that I had recently last week my good friend from California

who's living in Korea asked me to go to the beach with her so she planned

everything and all I had to do was go with her she decided we would go to

Kangnam so I packed my bags I met her at the bus terminal and we left at 10

o'clock in the morning unfortunately we forgot that it was the

peak season for you know traveling especially to that area for the nice

beaches so we left at 10 o'clock in the morning but the trip took over five

hours so we arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon well we arrived it was very

hot we were ready to start swimming so we got on a bus and we were going to a

small kind of quiet beach and the neighbor app told us it would take about

thirty minutes by bus so we were waiting we were on the bus and 4050 minutes

passed but we didn't look any closer to the beach in fact it looked like we were

going up a mountain so my friend asked the bus driver and we found that we

actually got on the bus on the wrong side of the street so we had no choice

but to wait until the bus turned around and we just went to the closest beach

that we could find and even when we got off the bus it took 20 minutes to walk

to that beach and by the time we arrived it was already about 6 o'clock

everybody was getting ready to leave the water was cold we didn't have time to do

much we just played in the water a little bit took some pictures and we had

to go that night we decided to just sleep better ginger bang my back hurt it

was so hot and at 3:30 in the morning some loud people came in and woke us up

so the next day we left at about 6:00 in the morning it'll need two two and a

half hours but I was so glad to be home and I hope none of you ever experienced

a horrible trip like that okay well thanks for watching and I'll see you

guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I want to

share with you about a culture shock that I got when I came to Korea now

growing up in America I still used to go to Korean markets with my parents and

one of my favorite things to get there was a yogurt drink it's a small drink

it's pink right it has a red cap and I would always buy that and I loved

drinking it and when I took it to school my friends would always ask about it and

I would tell them it tastes like strawberry candy right and I would drink

it it was my favorite thing to drink so when I came to Korea a couple of years

ago one of the things that surprised me and shocked me but in a good way was

seeing a lady and kind of like look who looks like my mom or an aunt she was

pushing a cart and when I found out what she was selling that's when I was

surprised she was selling my yogurt drink the one that I loved so much when

I was young and not only that she sold that but also other drinks from that

yogurt company so I thought it was just a great way to you know get the drink

that you like especially for people who don't have time to go to the store or

people who are far away from a store but are very thirsty who want something cool

to drink especially in spring or summer so that's my story of my culture shock

and I just thought it was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it here

okay so I hope you liked what I shared and I'll see you guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther in this video I'm going to share with you about a

culture shock that I got when I came to Korea now in Korea and America one thing

that I love to do is shop I love shopping but when I first went shopping

in Korea at a department store I was surprised by one thing and that

thing was the salespeople what's surprising is well when you go to store

in America and yes you will have a salesperson come and ask can I help you

or may I help you but if you say no I don't need help

or no I'm just looking that salesperson will usually go away and do their own

work but in Korea it's a little different right when I came to Korea and

I went shopping the salesperson came and they asked me if I needed any help and I

said no I'm just looking but instead of going away they actually kept following

me right they stood next to me or they stood behind me and they kept trying to

help me so if I was looking at something like a t-shirt or a blouse they would

say oh that shirt is very popular or oh that shirt would look great on you or

that shirt is on sale and yes so that's the first difference and another thing

is when in Korea when you go and try on the clothes in a dressing room or

fitting room the mirror is on the outside so after you try it on you have

to come outside where everyone can see and see how you look and you'll probably

have the salesperson there again saying how you look but in America the

fitting room or the dressing room has the mirrors inside so you can just take

all the clothes that you want to try go into the fitting room and just try it on

there's nobody else that can see you so that's a little bit more comfortable for

me right so yes in Korea the salespeople will help you they'll be very kind and

they'll really try to help you choose the right outfit for you while in

America they'll kind of let you have the freedom to choose on your own and try

the clothes out on your own as for me I think I said something similar before

but I prefer shopping in America I like you know not having the salesperson

around when I'm shopping I like doing it by myself okay so I told you guys about

my culture shock story and I hope that you guys enjoyed it okay bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I want to tell you about a shock

or a culture shock that I had when I came to Korea now what happened was I

used the word ajumma in an impolite way and I didn't know it but I learned

through this culture shock experience so what happened was I was shopping and I

had picked out some clothes that I wanted to buy and I was waiting in line

and the line was rather long and it was taking a long time to pay for my things

and I guess I was starting to feel a little bit annoyed or upset because I

was waiting so long and I finally went to the register the to pay for my stuff

but the person behind me an older woman was kind of pushing me right it was I

was almost done paying but she was pushing me so that she could pay next

and I usually never do this but because I wasn't feeling too good I said to her

in Korean ahjumma please wait or something like that

ahjumma please wait your turn and at first she seemed surprised and she kind

of moved back and she looked sorry but soon her facial expression began to

change and she was angry and she yelled at me in front of everybody

she said is something like you know how dare you call me a demon or who are you

to call me ahjumma and I was very surprised

I thought you call older women ajumma so I didn't know what to say so I quickly

grabbed my stuff and just ran away later I asked my friends what I did

wrong and what I learned is that you shouldn't call people ajumma

even if they are además you should say I should have said chögyal or something

like that so that's what I learned through my experience I should not call

people Atma okay well that's all thanks for watching bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I want to

share about my first experience at the beaches in Korea now I'm from Southern

California which is famous for its nice weather and nice beaches so one of the

things I loved to do during the summer was pack my bags and go to the beach and

just tan and relax and swim with my friends so when I came to Korea I was

really excited about going to the beach for the first time in Korea but when I

arrived I was very surprised to see certain things first of all I was very

surprised because the girls in Korea were wearing heels

very nice heels but heels to the beach and that was surprising because it seems

like it would be uncomfortable but that's what they were wearing and also

everyone was relaxing under a parasol so that they wouldn't get tanned and that

was surprising as well and the last thing that really surprised me was that

all the girls wore t-shirts and shorts so they were covering themselves they

were covering their swimming suits when they played in the water so those were

three things that were really surprising to me when I first went to the beach in

Korea now there were some things that I didn't like about the beach here in

Korea I didn't like that you had to pay to borrow the parasol I guess it makes

sense but I didn't like that I also thought the waves were too small I like

big waves when I'm swimming and playing at the beach but here the waves were

small and the sand was very rough and it hurt my feet but some things I really

liked about the beaches for example I like that you can borrow a tube to ride

in the water and that was really fun for me

and I also liked that you can order food like chicken or anything and get it

delivered to where you're resting and I thought that was a really cool thing to

do okay well that's what happened when I first went to the beach I really enjoyed

it there okay well thanks for watching bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I want to talk to you guys about a

big difference between prices in Korea and America well one thing that

foreigners really like when they come to Korea is that when you go to a

restaurant or when you buy something there's no taxes right there's no tax

that you have to pay or when you go to a restaurant or you know get your nails

done at a nail salon you don't have to pay tip right so if I go to a restaurant

and I order a bowl of kimchi jjigae and it's six thousand won that's exactly the

price I have to pay when I finish my meal and that's really good right people

like that a lot but the story is quite different when you go to America because

you have to pay a sales tax whenever you buy something and you have to pay tip

usually to someone who's serving you or helping you so in California which is

where I'm from the sales tax is about 10% now this the sales tax is different

in every state and I think in some places there is no sales tax I've heard

but yes most places you have to pay a sales tax of about 10% so if I buy a

nice coat that's $100 I'll have to pay 10% which is $10 so I'll pay about 110

dollars so when I say when you see a tag that says $100

you should remember I'm going to have to pay a little bit more when I give my

money or my card and the same goes for tip we like I said earlier we have to

pay it to anybody who helps us now for example again if I go to a restaurant

and there's a server which we call waiter right waiter or

waitress we have to tip them to say thank you or maybe a hotel someone

helped me carry my bags the bellboy I have to give them a tip now a tip is

usually about 15% 15% so it's a little bit more than taxes in California but I

say usually because the amount of tip you want to give base shows how happy

you are with the service for example usually people give 15% but sometimes if

somebody was very happy with the service you know maybe the waiter was very nice

and the waiter got everything right and they did everything perfectly and the

customer was in a good mood and maybe they have a lot of money they might give

a very big tip to the waiter sometimes in some nice restaurants people give

$100 tips even though their meal was a lot less ok so again you can show how

happy you are with the tip that you give now on the other hand let's say that you

went to a restaurant and the service was horrible

ok the waiter forgot your food the waiter dropped your drink

the waiter ignored you every time you try to get his attention then you can

leave a small tip maybe 10% maybe 5% in some cases if you are really unhappy if

some people are really unhappy with the service they sometimes leave no tip and

leaving no tip means I'm not coming back here again your service was horrible

right then the waiter will get the idea ah ok I did a bad job right so remember

taxes and tips are something you have to keep in mind when you go shopping or

when you eat somewhere or when you whenever you spend money remember the

price that you see is not the price that you'll pay in the end

ok so don't forget make sure you carry some extra cash or

have your card handy when you go to America all right so I hope you learned

something in this video and see you guys next time bye

hi everybody I'm Esther and in this video I want to share with you a little

about my hometown where I grew up and that place is called Burbank Burbank is

a little city in Southern California it's about 20 minutes away from Los

Angeles and about five minutes away from Hollywood so Burbank is known for its

movie studios if any of you guys like movies out there some of the big movie

studios such as Warner Brothers and Disney have their Studios in Burbank so

one of the things I remember growing up was whenever my mom would drive home we

would see the studios and we could see the famous posters of famous movies and

TV shows on the studios so that was one of the things I remember about growing

up and Burbank now because there are many TV and movie studios in Burbank

another special thing about growing up there was going to school with some

people in movies and TV shows now none of them were very famous there were some

people who were main characters in some popular movies but not any big stars

unfortunately but yes growing up in Burbank not me but people

I know have seen some celebrities and maybe even directors walking around and

coming and speaking at my school and things like that

and one example of that was also when I was in fifth grade my elementary school

teacher was friends with a talk-show host

so I remember being interviewed by him for a Father's Day holiday special yeah

so some of the things if you were to visit

Burbank that you would see might be you know celebrities the studios and Burbank

is also known for having great weather it's pretty hot it's warm on most days

so great weather palm trees lots of little stores and lots of homes for

families so if you do visit Los Angeles why don't you take some time to visit

Burbank it would be a great experience okay well thank you for joining me and

see you guys next time

you

Trump Official Is Trying To Destroy The Careers Of His Former Staffers - Duration: 3:59.

EPA Director Scott Pruitt has been, let's say, having a very rough time ever since he

took the job as the head of Donald Trump's EPA, but Donald Trump continues to stand by

him.

He told us just a week and a half ago that Scott Pruitt was doing an amazing job, reminiscent

of George W. Bush saying Michael Brown with FEMA was doing a heck of a job after Hurricane

Katrina, because that's pretty much what Scott Pruitt's doing.

He's turned the entire EPA into a massive disaster, and the only reason we know about

a lot of this is because former staffers have come forward and told us this.

Well now, Scott Pruitt is seeking his revenge, and in true Donald Trump fashion, he is trying

to ruin the lives of all of these former staffers who have come forward to expose his massive

corruption.

According to recent reports, Scott Pruitt is actively trying to destroy the future careers

of the former staffers who outed some of his more corrupt behavior.

Here's how he's doing it.

Not only is he not giving them good recommendations when they apply to new jobs, but he is instructing

the rest of his staff to do the same.

He is also actively, personally speaking to right-wing think tanks, trade groups, and

other people, lobby groups in Washington D.C., badmouthing these former staffers, calling

them liars, saying they're not trustworthy, and, more importantly, telling these organizations

not to hire them.

Scott Pruitt is so mad that his corruption was exposed for the world to see that he is

trying to ruin the lives of the people who came forward.

Honestly, this is a big problem we have in this country with whistleblowers.

Anybody willing to come forward and say that a government official or a corrupt CEO was

breaking the law, doing this, doing that, they normally do face some kind of retaliation,

which typically includes trying to ruin that person's life and career.

That is exactly what Scott Pruitt is doing here, and we shouldn't have expected anything

less from him.

After all, he works for Donald Trump.

That is his immediate supervisor, and Trump is the same kind of guy who likes to get on

Twitter, ruin people's lives, attack them personally, physically, or I should say, on

their physical appearance, on their work ethic, on their IQ, and Scott Pruitt's just taking

this Donald Trump blueprint and applying it to his own staffers who he feels have betrayed

him.

The only betrayal that's gone on here is Scott Pruitt betraying the ideals, and goals, and

values of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Instead of working on giving us cleaner air, or cleaner water, or cleaner soil, Scott Pruitt

is actually trying to make all of those things dirtier, trying to make all Americans just

a little bit sicker, the air we breathe just a little bit more polluted, while at the same

time sending his staffers out as personal errand boys and girls to buy him used mattresses,

to buy him hand lotion, to buy him all kinds of other things that I hope are not related

to one another, like the lotion and the mattress, but Scott Pruitt has abused every possible

facet of his office.

He should be removed, but he won't, because the Koch brothers love what he's doing, and

so he's going to continue retaliating against these people, destroying their lives, and

making sure that they are the ones who don't have a future in Washington D.C. or in American

politics when in reality, Pruitt's the one that should be shunned by every single organization

in Washington D.C., kicked out of town, never to be heard from again.

TALKING ABOUT your HOLIDAYS - Duration: 10:32.

so, the first thing you want to do really is to arrange your holidays

so, first things first, you probably want to decide whether or not you are going to stay in

your country or if you want to go to a foreign country if you want to go abroad (=à l'étranger)

for example in England or in America or in Spain not in France if you live in

France Depending on your destination you may

want to book a flight or to buy train tickets or maybe

bus tickets. Once you've booked your flight you may want to book your

accommodation so the accommodation is the place where you are going to stay it

can be a holiday house, or a hotel room maybe a youth hostel

dormitory or even a campsite. So you have two options: either you book online

which is really convenient (=pratique) or if you don't want to be bothered then you just go to

a travel agency and then someone will do it for you

now, what kind of holidays do you like? it all depends on, I guess, your personnality

the time you have and obviously your budget. One of the most popular places to

go on vacation is going by the sea it's usually cheap and obviously you don't

need to pay anything to go to the beach the beach is free, most of the time it's

a great place for families. Children love playing on the beach, making sandcastles

digging holes and I guess it's probably the perfect place to relax and

enjoy the sun especially if you like sunbathing you can go swimming, you can

go sailing snorkeling, canoeing, just you know oh

yeah you can also go picking seashells by the seashore ha ha, if you are more of

an active person and you like nature you

may want to go on an adventure holiday. so what you need is a backpack a good

pair of hiking shoes, camping gear like a sleeping bag or a tent and and

you're good to go! Some people like trekking in the

mountains some other people just like hiking with their friends and families

for a few days. Camping in the wild can be really exciting but it's not always

safe you know the weather can get really bad sometimes you may you may have like

dangerous animals so it would probably be wiser to book a campsite before you

leave and in the wintertime you can go skiing and snowboarding in the mountains

of course. Other people are more into

cultural holidays so basically what you do is you go to a place and it can be a

country or a city and you go "sighteseeing"

you go see what there is to see, you get interested in places, monuments, probably

architecture and you go to the museums and you want to learn the history of the

place and this type of holiday is more culturally oriented or art oriented and

does not involve

call activity or sports but obviously you can do both you can mix the

activities there is no rule as far as holidays are concerned and some people

have only a few days off and what they do is they travel around they go see

their family and their friends they spend a few days with their relatives

and they try to make the most of their time because you know time is precious

really precious so try to make the most of it

now if you ask me, holidays I really like? well I don't I don't like a specific a

specific kind of holiday I like to do a little bit of everything I do like going

to the beach I live by the sea I'm very lucky I can literally walk to the sea so

I like going to the beach I like hiking by the sea I love sailing I have a

little boat a little red boat which I love

and I go sailing once in a while I love that. However, I really like cultural

holidays as well. I've recently been to Italy and that was that was great I mean

I spent my days walking around visiting museums you know getting lost in the

streets, meeting people trying to talk to them and trying to learn you know

the culture and how how the city was built in how people lived in the city

but above all I love hanging out with with my people you know my family my

friends I love to have a good time

cooking together playing music going on going on a hike sometimes just having a

good time surrounded by the people I love and this

is what this is what holidays are about for me now what about you? what types of

holidays do you like? please please tell me leave a comment below please tell me

what what do you like to do during the holidays thank you so much for watching

it was a real pleasure to be talking to you I'll talk to you later

I'll see you next time and take care everybody

bye-bye

Trump Moves to End Racial Discrimination by Colleges - Duration: 4:44.

Trump Moves to End Racial Discrimination by Colleges.

President Donald Trump's administration has withdrawn legal policies developed, by

former President Barack Obama which encouraged the use of racial categories to grant or deny

university slots.

The "affirmative action" racial policies were discarded on Tuesday, just before Independence

Day.

"Such racial policies are outrageously wrong," says Roger Clegg, president and general counsel

of the Center for Equal Opportunity, a nonprofit think tank which studies civil rights, immigration,

and integration.

He continued:

Trump is frequently accused of being divisive, but the only civil rights policy that can

make sense in a country, that is as increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-racial as the United

States, is one in which we aren't treating people differently, according to skin color

and what country their ancestors came from.

The new Trump policies are "good news," Clegg told Breitbart News in an interview

July 3.

"The Obama guidance [on affirmative-action policies] pushed schools to engage in race-based

decision-making, which is unfair as a matter of policy and inconsistent with what the Supreme

Court has said."

The Justice Department should also weigh in on and support the lawsuit Asian Americans

have brought, against Harvard University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill

regarding discrimination in college admissions, he added.

"I hope when it gets to the Supreme Court, we'll have a five-justice majority to put

an end to this practice altogether," he asserts.

"Too many Asian Americans applying to elite schools are discriminated against on account

of their race," said Linda Chavez, who co-founded the CEO think-tank.

"That is the message of our new study, and it is past time that schools quit the morally

dubious means of using race or ethnicity as 'a factor' in selecting their student

bodies."

In May, Clegg's CEO highlighted the issue of elite schools discriminating against Asian-Americans.

According to a CEO study, "at Harvard University, which also uses race in admissions, Asian

Americans as a percentage of all undergraduates sharply increased to 21 percent and then significantly

dropped," remaining at about 17 percent since then.

In New York City, Asian-Americans have condemned a proposal by Mayor Bill de Blasio, to end

admission testing to the city's top high schools to increase black and Hispanic enrollment.

Currently, Asian American students predominate at the city's elite schools, a situation

de Blasio hopes to change by allowing some 45 percent of students in the elite schools

be black or Latino.

De Blasio defended his plan, writing at Chalkbeat, "Anyone who tells you this is somehow going

to lower the standard, at these schools is buying into a false and damaging narrative.

It's a narrative that traps students in a grossly unfair environment, asks them to

live with the consequences, and actually blames them for it."

Clegg, however, says when skin color and national origin are factors in deciding where a student

can attend school – a policy based on discrimination is, in fact, in effect.

To people such as de Blasio and other progressives embracing race-based policies, Clegg says:

Such policies are outrageously wrong.

What the Trump administration is doing is the opposite of racist.

Trump is frequently accused of being divisive, but the only civil rights policy that can

make sense in a country that is as increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-racial as the United

States, is one in which we aren't treating people differently, according to skin color

and what country their ancestors came from.

Whether or not you're a fan of President Trump in other areas, I think all of us should

welcome this initiative.

Clegg says the Asian American lawsuit against Harvard and the anger over de Blasio's plan

in New York City show, it is not just white people who are discriminated against via politically

correct preferences:

We have a confluence of events here that makes this an important moment in the way the country

is going to move forward, on this issue of racial and ethnic preferences in education.

I think many non-conservatives who may have sympathy for the use of affirmative action

are growing increasingly uncomfortable, with the fact that Asian Americans are being discriminated

against in addition to whites.

It's wrong to discriminate against anybody – including whites.

"The only policy that makes sense going forward is one that reflects E Pluribus Unum,"

Clegg says.

Tony, are you there? Hello?

Breathe.

Easy, easy.

You remember this one, right?

It's a shame the government didn't approve it.

There's so many applications for causing short-term paralysis.

Tony.

When I ordered the hit on you,

I worried that I was

killing the golden goose.

But, you see, it was just

fate that you survived that.

You had one last golden egg to give.

Do you really think that just because you have an idea, it belongs to you?

Your father, he helped give us the atomic bomb.

Now, what kind of world would it be today if he was as selfish as you?

Oh, it's beautiful.

Tony, this is your Ninth Symphony.

What a masterpiece. Look at that.

This is your legacy.

A new generation of weapons with this at its heart.

Weapons that will help steer the world back on course,

put the balance of power in our hands.

The right hands.

I wish you could see my prototype.

It's not as...

Well, not as conservative as yours.

Too bad you had to involve Pepper in this.

I would have preferred that she lived.

What do you mean, he paid to have Tony killed?

Pepper, slow down. Why would Obadiah...

Okay, where's Tony now?

I don't know. He's not answering his phone.

Please go over there and make sure everything's okay.

Thank you, Rhodey. I know a shortcut.

Good boy.

How to Tell Your Friend They're Dating the Wrong Person - Duration: 5:04.

- Hello hello hello my friends!

Kaitlyn here!

And what if your friend is dating someone

that's mmmm, not so great.

Like you can tell they're not the right person for them,

but for whatever reason they're just not getting the message.

So how do you, you know, talk to them about it

without ruining your friendship?

(upbeat electronic music)

This was a subscriber question,

which is a great time to note

that if you have a question for me,

I have a new form on my website for you to fill out

and submit questions. (gentle music)

So check out the link, submit your questions,

and I'll make 'em into videos!

Of course, you can always leave your questions

in the comments on my YouTube channel

or on any of my social media,

but this form is going to be the first place

that I look for new video ideas!

All right, back into it!

So the person asking this question

had a really specific reason for why they felt

like their friend was dating the wrong person.

But when I started thinking about it,

there are really lots of reasons you might be uncomfortable

with who your friend is dating.

Maybe it's someone who has cheated on your friend

or other people before.

Or something about them makes you just really uneasy.

Like they have disturbing interests

or a big age difference between them.

Or something about them just really rubs you the wrong way

and you can't quite articulate it.

Or being with them makes your friend

change their personality or act strangely.

Basically, there's a lot stuff

that might send up red flags for you.

But then, what do you do?

Do you ignore it and not bring it up

for fear of screwing up your friendship?

Or do you take the plunge and talk to them?

I was talking to a friend recently and he mentioned

that he and his roommate had some opinions

about my ex when they first met him,

and I was like why did you not tell me this!

We talk about everything!

And of course, his response was

that I would've been incredibly mad at him

because I would have assumed

that he was trying to break us up or something

instead of coming from a place of genuine concern.

And he was admittedly very right about that

because I would have been super mad at him.

So I wanted to think through some steps for you

as someone who's been on both sides of the issue

to kind of use as a checklist.

First, because, you just have to, you need to ask yourself

do I feel this way about the person my friend is dating

because I am genuinely concerned

or am I maybe jealous or upset in some other way

that's being manifested by this gut reaction?

I know, I know!

But you do have to think about your own motivations here

because this is a sensitive subject.

You don't wanna go ruining your friendship

because you were actually the one that had a problem

and you were projecting onto your friend.

Now, if you can honestly ask yourself that

and afterward you are still feeling

like something is just not cool with this relationship,

then move on to step two.

And that's assessing your friendship history.

Have you ever had a difficult conversation

with your friend?

How did they react?

How did you react?

Was there a big fight?

Or maybe did they listen

and take some of your advice to heart?

Basically, knowing how you and your friend function

in disagreements is super important

to preparing yourself for their reaction.

Like maybe you know they're gonna totally freak out on you

and scream and yell and tell you

that you're trying to sabotage their relationship.

But maybe you also know that after they've been able

to calm down they're gonna think about what you said

and come back and try to have

a more civil conversation with you.

But if they have a history of blowing up

in a way that may irreparably wreck your friendship,

then just hold off maybe.

This brings us to step three, which is doing the hard work

of talking to them.

Now some general tips that I've found.

Don't bombard them with it.

Like waiting until you feel like you're going to explode

and then blurting it out to them at an inopportune time.

Write down exactly what you wanna get across to them,

practice it, and then ask them out to dinner or coffee

or some place that's safe and specify tell them

that you wanna to talk to them about something.

And finally, be prepared for whatever

they might throw at you.

Obviously you have to weigh how important

you think bringing UP this concern you have

with them is versus the potential

for ruining your friendship.

It's not easy.

No way!

Not at all (chuckles)!

The thing about romantic relationships

is that when you're in them, especially in the beginning,

it can be very difficult to see your partner's flaws.

Even if you do recognize them,

you tend to gloss over them because your hormones

are going crazy and you just feel so in love

and why is your friend trying to ruin this for you!

Just ugh!

When you're on the outside looking in,

your friend just seems totally crazy

and you're like uh, this dude or girl

is like a total creeper,

why are you with them?

It's all about perspective, friend!

So for the question today,

I wanna know about your experiences here.

Have you ever had a friend that was dating someone

that you just did not feel like was a good idea?

How did you handle it and what was the outcome?

Tell me all about it down in the comments!

Maybe you'll have some more advice for all of us!

Plus remember to subscribe if this video made you smile,

and hit the notification bell so you know

the moment there's a new video!

And I'll see you guys next Thursday!

Bye (giggles)! (upbeat music)

Navigating Facebook's Algorithm for Veterinary Practice Success - Duration: 4:01.

An algorithm is a formula that allows a social media site search engine to

determine which content is going to be posted where, and to what frequency.

Algorithms allow for content to be specifically served to specific people

at specific times — that's a lot of specifics there. Very often the

algorithms are extremely secret. In fact, they're almost always secret and anyone

that tells you that they deeply understand an algorithm is probably full

of beans and you should run away from them. Sometimes the owners of the

channel's Google or Facebook — Zuckerberg in this instance — come out and

they will tell you some of the secret sauce behind the algorithm. Well, earlier

this year, Mark Zuckerberg comes out and he waves his hands up and down and he

says we're going to make a drastic change in Facebook, and this change is

all centered around bringing Facebook back to its original state which was to

create deep, personal relationships between the participants of Facebook.

It was started off as a truly social network where people were gathering and

sharing their opinions. Then what happened was they realized they

needed to monetize it and they brought in businesses like veterinary practices

where they could pay for advertising on the space. They had to create this crazy

balance between what was organic and just natural and what was paid or forced.

They realized that if they put too much paid on there that people would not rely

upon the network for a communication platform because all it would be was

advertising. So Zuckerberg realized that it was reaching that point, and announced

that he was going to drastically alter the algorithm so that unless you

have deeply personal content within a post, the post most likely won't share.

So, what does this mean? You really basically and simply put if you're a practice that

is just going on Facebook and typing in, "Guess what's new at the

practice today," and if you expect that post to hit

within your followers, it's probably not. Zuckerberg came out and said that

the posts would have most value if there was communication

within the post by those that were liking, sharing and commenting on the

post. What I mean is that for instance if you and I were both fans of ABC Animal

Hospital, and ABC Animal Hospital posted this really great article about canine

influenza and you and I were, within the post, having a conversation in the

comments about that, it would more than likely upgrade the post to one of higher

value and show Facebook and its algorithm that it had really good

content because it was causing discussions within the post. That post

would then more than likely be served up. Further admissions that Facebook made

was that if you were just a practice that's going out there and posting over

and over and regularly but no one is interacting with the post, they find that

that post content, or the content that you're putting out there on a regular

basis, doesn't have any value because nobody's liking, sharing or commenting on

the content so they are going to be less than likely to serve the content.

So, what's the solution? Unfortunately it's pay-to-play. And in

order to do so you need to structure an appropriate paid Facebook campaign that

allows you to create really good content, create a full structure behind it and

then pay for Facebook to display it across your network.

WP3188695 - Replacing Your Whirlpool Stove's Door Handle - AP6007762, PS11740881 - Duration: 5:10.

Hi, my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the door handle

on your oven.

The reason why you might have to do this is because the handle is broken or because it's

loose, and it won't tighten all the way.

For this repair, we'll be using a 5/16 inch nut driver, and a Phillip's head screwdriver.

Warning: before doing any repairs, please disconnect your power source.

For this repair, we'll be using a Whirlpool stove, keep in mind ours might be a little

different than what you've got at home, but the same techniques should still apply.

So, as you can see here, you've got a loose handle.

In order to fix it, the first thing we are going to do is we're going to take off all

these screws.

We've got two screws on each side.

And, two screws on top.

And as we remove this last screw, just make sure you've got your leg up on the glass,

so that it doesn't fall out, because as you remove this last screw, that's what's holding

everything together right now, and we don't want everything to fall apart.

So, there we go.

So now, I'm holding the door here.

I'm holding onto the glass in front.

So, that when I take off the top, the glass doesn't fall out.

And, I'll give it a little bit of slack so you can see I'll let go carefully, but this

glass is being held on by the two sides and then the top there, that no longer is on there,

it's not being held on.

So, if you want, take it out, and set it off to the side, so you don't accidentally drop

it and break it.

As you can see here, the handles a bit loose, still.

So, what we're going to do is we'll remove these screws, and we get rid of our old handle.

Now, you can grab your new OEM replacement handle.

If you don't have one already, you can find it on our online store.

So now, we'll put our handle on, we're just going to line up the holes, and if you take

a look right here, on each side there are some slots on the trim, and those correspond

to the slot or the tab on the handle.

So, we'll line up those slots, and that'll help with lining up the screw holes.

And now, we'll screw it back in.

So, now we're ready to put the glass back in, I want to slide it down into the bottom

area first here, and now I'll line up both sides, so those are lined up, and now I can

put this handle assembly back on top.

And all I'm doing is sliding that in, and then lifting, we'll go in front of the glass

there.

And once you've got everything lined up, you can start screwing everything back in.

Once you've got those screws tightened on, you can close the door up, check on your handle

and make sure it's nice and tight, and then your repair is complete.

Finally, don't forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances, you can find an OEM replacement

part on our website: PCApplianceRepair.com.

Combination Weighing & Labeling System to Quickly Sort Products - Duration: 2:26.

This is a ham steak weighing and labeling system designed to process up to 40 packages

per minute.

A white label will either be applied, or not applied, to the hams depending on weight,

allowing for a quick sorting decision by personnel downstream.

The entire system is washdown-rated, making it ideal for food processing plants with harsh

washdown environments.

Product transfers onto the infeed conveyor from a Cryovac® process up line.

The infeed conveyor is moving at the exact same speed as the conveyor scale.

This helps to prevent product slippage across the gap to ensure a proper weight is acquired.

Product slippage contributes to erroneous weight values that can be costly to the producer,

while smooth product transition ensures an accurate weight.

Next, the conveyor scale captures a weight and sends the weight information to the Scale

Data System (or SDS).

The photoeyes tell the SDS when to start and stop the weighment process.

The product then transfers to the labeling conveyor.

An overhead printer will apply a white label to the packages that fall within the desired

weight range.

A piston applicator extends down to apply the label.

Either a blank white label will be applied or it will be absent from the package.

All of the white-labeled packages will be placed into one of two downline containers.

The non-marked hams will be placed in the other container.

The printer is contained inside a NEMA-4X enclosure to prevent water intrusion during

washdown.

A quick-apply cover is placed over the opening where labels are applied to seal the enclosure.

All of the above functions are controlled with our SDS controller.

It stores all data in an SQL database which can be accessed on the plant floor or remotely

via an Ethernet network.

Local access occurs with an easy-to-use 17-inch touchscreen HMI.

The software also permits an easy change of weight ranges depending on your application.

This system gives virtually limitless flexibility for products that have a varying weight range.
