(pop music)

- Hi, Nico Tortorella here at the finale

viewing party of RuPaul's Drag Race

season 10 and I'm here with Kameron Michaels.

- Hi Nico, how are you?

- Hi I'm good, how are you? - Good.

- [Nico] So you've had an impressive showing this season.

How does it feel to be at the finish line,

officially, for RuPaul's Drag Race?

- You know, it feels amazing.

I've had such a long journey, and I think

a lot of people, including myself,

did not see me in this moment.

But it's been such an honor to represent

the quiet people of the world.

To show that we can rise to the occasion

when we need to and make it to the top

and make it to the (bleep) finale

of RuPaul's Drag Race.

- The finale of Drag Race.

With a zipper on her face!

The quiet one!

- The quiet one!

- [Nico] I love it.

So what has this journey been like,

from the time you were announced

to be on the show until now?

- It's been a whirlwind.

As you saw on The Reunion, I wasn't

a full time drag performer and I now am.

So it's been a complete life adjustment for me.

But it's been absolutely amazing

because it's been my passion and now

I get to do it everyday.

- It's no secret that you have been the quiet one,

you have labeled yourself the quiet one.

What's it been like being with a team

of 14 large, loud drag queens?

- You know, I'm learning to keep up with them now.

It's really fun because at the shows and the gigs,

and I think you'll see that in the finale

from me, I'm learning to come out

of my shell a little bit.

Which is really important because

you know this platform is an opportunity

for us to speak up and speak out

about issues and you know, LGBTQ

issues are a thing but also the thing

about introverts, it's such a great

conversation to have.

And I'm happy to be that person.

- Fact, she said hi to me when I walked in.

Just throwing that out there.

- I did!

- It did happen.

So what's next for Kameron?

- A lot of touring, a lot, a lot of touring!

You know, I think people expect from

the show, for me to be working on music.

I am, but I'm a perfectionist.

So it's gonna take time. I'm gonna take my time and I'm

not gonna release it until it's absolutely perfect.

- [Nico] Amazing, I'm here for all of it.

What is The Schrödinger Equation, Exactly? - Duration: 9:28.

Hi guys! I'm Jade, lovely to meet you. So the Schrodinger equation is one of those

things that pops up a lot in like quantum science articles and journals

and stuff but the journalist doesn't usually go into what it means, which is

fair because it's a fairly complex topic. So today I just wanted to share with you

guys like what it actually means so next time you read it in an article you can

get a better gist of what it's about. So the short version is the Schrodinger

equation tells us everything we can possibly know about a quantum system.

It's basically the F=ma of the quantum world. If you throw a ball and

solve F=ma you can predict its position and

momentum for any moment in time. Once you have these two you can derive basically

everything else you could possibly know about it, velocity, energy etc. But when we

get down to particle land Newton's equations don't work anymore.

If we put a particle in a box and we want to know where it is F=ma just

doesn't cut it. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle says that we can't

know both the exact position and momentum of quantum objects, but, we can

know other things, like the energy levels and the wave function, which we'll explore

in this video. But that information is all inside the Schrodinger equation and

with some hardcore mathematics we can tease it out. Now the long version! So

before I get started I should say that this is the time independent version

meaning that it doesn't involve time. And if at any point throughout the video you

get lost, don't worry, even Schrodinger didn't know exactly what his equation

meant. So let's say we have a quantum system: an electron in a box. We want to

know everything we can about this electron so we can make predictions,

where it might be, what energy level it might be at. These

answers are all buried within the Schrodinger equation. So first let's

start with this guy, the pitchfork thing. This is the Greek letter psi and it

stands for what's called the wave function. It tells you where the electron

is likely to be. But not where it will be. See quantum objects are sneaky in that

you can't predict exactly where they'll be until you measure them. You can only

predict where they'll probably be. Say there's this kid you know. You've grown

up with them your whole life. They're locked in their room with their homework, a

Playstation, and a bed. If you had to guess where they were you'd say there's

about an 80% probability they're on the PlayStation, 19% probability they're

in bed and a 1% probability they're doing their homework. When you open the

door you'll know for sure. But you were able to make these predictions because

you know this guy. What if you had to guess where this electron is? You don't

know this electron. Well that's what the wave function tells us. It gives us the

probabilities of where it's likely to be. But a big difference is that while the

guy is only in one place at a time the electron is in a superposition of all

possible places at the same time. You may have heard the famous thought experiment

Schrodinger's cat who's in a superposition of being dead and alive

until the box is opened and it's forced to choose a state. It's the same deal

here. The act of not knowing where the electron is allows it's probability

distribution to be spread out over a large space kind of like a wave.

Different kinds of waves can represent different probabilities of where it's

likely to be, hence the name wave function. It's a function that describes

the wave shape of probability distribution of the electron.

Oh yeah and when you open the door and measure where it is this wave

probability cloud function collapses and the electron becomes a particle again. No

wonder Schrodinger was confused. So that's what the pitchfork means, the

wave function tells us where our electron is likely to be. Now let's take

a look at this E. It represents the energies the electron is allowed to have.

Now before I go into what that means I just want to point out that the way this

equation is arranged these values are the ones we're trying to solve for, so

it's telling us that hey if you do all this stuff you can find out the energy

levels of the wave functions of the electron! And if we know these two things

we can derive everything else we can possibly know about the particle, just

like the position and momentum of the ball. But let's backtrack a sec, what do I mean

when I say energy levels the electron is allowed to have? Like it's a grown

electron it can have whatever energy levels it wants right? Well, no. In the

regular world we see around is, energy can go up and down in a

smooth continuous way, but this isn't the case in the quantum world and the reason

comes from the wave-like nature of the probability distributions. Because our

particle is inside the box it has a zero probability of being found in or outside

the wall, so this means the wave function always needs to be zero there otherwise

there's some probability that the electron could be outside the box which

we know it's not. That means that the electron can only have certain

frequencies associated with it. This frequency is allowed as the wave

function is zero at both edges, and this frequency is not, this frequency is

allowed and this one is not. So Einstein discovered that energy is actually

proportional to frequency by this relation E=hf where E is the

energy, f is the frequency and this h here is Planck's constant. Don't worry

too much about that h for now, all you need to know is that it's a constant

which means its value doesn't change. So if only certain frequencies are allowed

inside the box and this is a constant then it follows that only certain energy

levels are allowed inside the box too. This property of discrete or quantized values

is where quantum mechanics gets its name. Things that can take on continuous

values in the regular world like energy levels can only take on certain

quantized values at the quantum scale. Now let's look at the other side of the

equation. We know what we're solving for: the energy levels and the wave functions. But how is all of this going to help us get there? Well overall energy is made up

of kinetic energy and potential energy. If a skateboarder is on a skate ramp

they'll be traveling at some speed and have some kinetic energy, but when they

stop at the top they still have energy, it's just transformed into a different

kind: potential energy. The entire energy of the system is just the kinetic energy

plus the potential energy and while it can move back and forth between those

two states its total value is always conserved. Sometimes potential energy is

written as a V, so this term is the potential energy of the wave function. So

if this is the potential energy that must mean that this term here is the

kinetic energy I know it doesn't really look like any kind of kinetic energy

equation we've seen before right, so here's the derivation if you don't

believe me. So if we can solve for the potential and

kinetic energy of our quantum system this will tell us the energy levels

allowed, and that's everything there is to know about our little electron! So

what would some typical Schrodinger solutions look like? Well to this

particular problem all the solutions to the wave functions

take these two forms and the energy equation that popped out was this. Great

Jade so what the hell does that mean? Well the first thing to note is that

every term in this expression is either a constant or a whole number: h-bar is a

constant, 2 is obviously a constant, m the mass of the electron is a constant, pi is

a constant, and L the length of the box is a constant, and n stands for the

different states of the electron and they're all whole numbers, 1, 2, 3, etc. So

then the energy E can only have certain values. It's quantized. But what about the

wave function? Where is the electron? Well let's look at this guy when the electron

is in its first energy state, when n is equal to 1. We get this. That's one of the

wave functions of the electron and if we square it we get the probability

distribution, aka where the electron is likely to be.

We can see that there's a high probability that it'll be found in the

middle here but a zero probability it'll be found right at the edges. Here

are some more wave functions and probability densities for other energy

states. See how the wave function is always always 0 right at the edges. This

took me an entire semester of a physics degree to understand and what really

helped me was working through a lot of problems and taking the time to build a

strong intuition. Brilliant.org has an entire course dedicated to quantum

mechanics which starts with the experiments which first discovered

quantum behavior and leads up to the derivation of the Schrodinger equation.

It has examples you can work through at your own pace. I actually just went

through it to refresh my memory and learned some things I didn't know and

definitely understood some things better. They also have heaps of other courses

mainly on physics, math and computer science and they're always adding more.

The first 200 people to click the link below and sign up will get a 20%

discount. Just go to brilliant.org/UpandAtom. The link is on screen and in

the description. And if you're wondering why I didn't include the math behind the

solutions to the Schrodinger equation it's because it would have taken me

about an hour just to write out probably another five weeks to explain,

but for those of you who are especially curious I've posted my final exam essay

on quantum physics in the description. It includes the derivation of the

Schrodinger equation as well as the solutions and some other interesting

stuff like random questions to my professor. So guys please be honest, do

you understand the Schrodinger equation a bit better now? I hope you do but if

you don't please feel free to give me any feedback on how I can make my

explanations better for future videos. Quantum physics is so cool and I really

don't want anybody to miss out. So yeah that's all from me. Bye! -

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 177 - Duration: 5:43.

WARNING: This video may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.

In today's V-LOG we'll be telling you about

bugs in the development of Juggernaut as well as killstreaks in the new mode,

and we'll also be talking about international events.

Hello tankers!

World UFO day has long since ended as a holiday,

but not in Tanki Online!

The event in the game is going to end only with the morning restart on Monday.

Gold Boxes as Meteorites continue to drop 10 times more often,

the creepy animated paint is still for sale in the Shop

and more discounts are coming!

Today, on Friday we've got discounts in the Shop,

and on Saturday -- it's 30% off of items in the Garage,

with the final sale on Sunday with 50% off on MicroUpgrades and SpeedUps.

Hurry to catch the meteorites!

When will you have a chance like this again?

Juggernaut is still in development.

Within the past several weeks we've often heard you ask

"When is Juggernaut coming out?

What's taking so long?

The tank is long since ready!"

For a mode THIS NEW to make a new tank is not even half of the work.

The most important part is how the mechanic of the mode works.

And here we have a ton of "buts" and "ifs".

The tank must be handed over from player to player without issues and

a lot of details must be kept in mind.

For example, changing equipment:

"what if a Juggernaut-player opens the Garage and changes the equipment?",

"what if the player opens the Garage and gets killed while at it?",

"does the player even need the ability to open the Garage?"

and so on.

From time to time annoying bugs appear.

The last bug was connected to… drones, to the Supplier, to be specific.

With Juggernaut, the effect of the drone didn't work right,

not only did it extend the active supply,

but also made the effect STRONGER.

For example, Speed Boost would add up, supply after supply,

and the tank would reach truly interstellar speeds.

Even our anti-cheat system would think something wasn't right.

And Double Damage could become VERY powerful.

So that's how you get shots with 2 or 3 million damage.

And the most interesting part --

in the original design drones weren't supposed to have any effect on Juggernaut at all.

We decided that the tank was already powerful enough,

especially if you get used to playing it.

And here, of course, we hear a question:

"What if I played with a drone equipped and turned into Juggernaut,

will the batteries still be used?".

The answer is no, for as long as you play as Juggernaut

the batteries will NOT be spent.

And one more thing, which we haven't talked about yet --

killstreaks, meaning a series of kills.

When somebody becomes Juggernaut, their success is shown on the screen…

and is also announced with voice.

You might have seen a similar feature in Tanki X or other games.

We thought about using those already recorded sounds from TX,

but decided to re-record it all instead.

It's way cooler like this.

What's up everyone, I'm Alex Lynch and

I've got a streak back for you!

First kill

FIRST KILL

Domination

DOMINATION

RAGE

UNSTOPPABLE

SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP

Last week a small, but noticeable change appeared in the game.

Now only a player with Warrant Officer 1 rank and up can participate in battle groups,

and lower ranks will be playing without battle groups… for now.

This way we wanted to limit the cases

where somebody would bring a Recruit into a battle with Legends or something like that.

Yes, this solution is not a perfect one,

but it's temporary.

Soon we will implement proper rank limits for groups,

and allowed ranks will be set based on who creates the battle group.

Then it will be possible to create battle groups at any rank,

but not all friends could be invited in the group.

Last weekend tankers from LATAM region of TO

had a pretty special mine hunt, which was interrupted by a terrifying guest,

who entered the battle and destroyed hundreds of players with no remorse.

This is a second time we've seen the familiar shadow invade the region,

and continue to guess

if there is any connection between Godmode_ON and the distant rival.

Can this mean a war across the ocean?

Let's wait and sea.

Video of the Week!

In the last episode we asked you to record a video with you catching meteorite Golds.

Let's see the most awesome video.

Next time record a video about how cool overdrives are,

and don't forget to equip the White paint.

And another V-LOG has come to an end.

Subscribe to our channel, press the bell button

and bye!

Last week Thunder shot at Mammoth, getting closer and closer to it.

You had to guess at which point Thunder would fire the final shot.

The right answer is -- cell number 8.

Let's welcome the winners and here's the new question:

How many shots will it take for Wasp to touch the wall?

A Budding Trade War Could Harm a Growing U.S and California Economy - Duration: 7:17.

A Budding Trade War Could Harm a Growing U.S.

and California Economy

Despite rumblings of a trade war, the U.S. economy is marching forward at a nice pace

as the U.S. unemployment rate hits a low not seen for almost 50 years.

Jobs are still being created every month with no end in sight.

Even with inflation heating up to 2.4 percent during the first five months of this year,

everything seems to be under control.

In May, the U.S. unemployment rate was at 3.8 percent and the California unemployment

rate stood at 4.2 percent.

"It is steady as she goes for the regional, state and U.S. economy," said Robert Kleinhenz,

an economist and executive director of research for Beacon Economics in Los Angeles.

"Here in California, it has been a good year, outpacing the U.S. in terms of job creation.

We have seen 1.8 percent to 2 percent growth in jobs over last year compared to 1.6 percent

for the nation as a whole," he said.

In California, industries that have been expanding the most rapidly include healthcare, leisure

and hospitality (mostly restaurants), and the construction industry, Kleinhenz said.

One cloud on the horizon is a possible trade war, which could have a ripple effect on the

Los Angeles/Long Beach port complex, the largest in the United States.

Nearly 40 percent of all cargo containers that come into the United States are processed

by these two ports.

Recently, the Port of Los Angeles calculated that U.S. tariffs on items including aluminum,

steel, washing machines, solar panels and possibly cars would have a big effect on its

business.

Gene Seroka, the port's executive director, recently calculated that U.S. tariffs on Chinese

goods and retaliatory Chinese tariffs could affect 15 percent of shipments passing through

the watery gateway.

A 25 percent tariff on $34 billion in Chinese goods is scheduled to begin July 6, along

with Chinese retaliatory measures of the same value on U.S. goods.

There are also plans for the U.S. to impose 25 percent tariffs on an additional $16 billion

worth of Chinese goods, and 10 percent tariffs on $200 billion more, but the timing of those

tariffs is still up in the air.

This comes at a time when the local ports are showing healthy cargo-container volumes.

Last year was a record-breaking year for both the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long

Beach.

Together, both ports handled 16.8 million 20-foot cargo containers compared to 15.57

million containers in 2016.

But container traffic at the Port of Los Angeles is down 4.4 percent this year while volume

is up 16.2 percent at the Port of Long Beach.

Paul Bingham, an economic consultant who specializes in trade and transportation at the Economic

Research Development Group in Boston, said there is no doubt that trade wars damage economies.

"When you have imposed tariffs and barriers to trade, just the uncertainty to transactions

around trade raises business risks, which has costs," he said.

"It leads to hesitation and exploration of trading alternatives.

And for an important gateway like we have in Southern California, it means that there

will be less business, less hours for longshore workers and less employment for companies

that handle products."

Foreign businesses thinking of setting up a factory or office in the U.S. might shift

their plans, feeling their investment might be in jeopardy if they plan to sell their

goods around the world.

Bingham estimates that a trade war could reduce the nation's gross domestic product by one-tenth

of a percent to one-half of a percent this year.

Currently, the nation's GDP is expected to grow by about 2.9 percent in 2018.

"This could shake businesses, consumer confidence and tip us into a recession," the economist

said.

Shop till you drop

With more money in their pockets, consumers have been on a major shopping spree recently.

In May, consumer spending at retail stores was up 5.6 percent over last year while clothing

and clothing accessories stores did better with an 8.2 percent jump from one year ago,

according to the National Retail Federation.

"I haven't seen this much economic confidence since Ronald Reagan was president [in the

1980s]," said Britt Beemer, a retail analyst and founder of America's Research Group,

which polls 1,200 consumers a week to take the pulse of their retail-spending attitude.

But he said any retailer who wants to survive needs to get out of a shopping mall.

"Mall traffic is dropping like a rock.

The anchors are pulling the malls down," he said.

"It's an economic mess."

In a recent survey, he said that 56 percent to 58 percent of consumers said they don't

want to shop in a mall because it was so inefficient.

"You have to park, walk through the parking lot, walk through the mall to get to the stores

and walk back through the mall to get to the parking lot," he explained.

"And the under-35-year-old crowd is incredibly impatient.

If you waste 15 minutes of their time, they get angry."

310345 - Replacing Your Whirlpool Stove's Light Switch - AP3035833, PS336100 - Duration: 5:12.

Hi, my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the light switch

on your stove.

The reason why you might have to do this is because when you open the oven door, the light

is not turning on.

For this repair, all we'll be using is a short screwdriver.

Warning: Before doing any repairs, please disconnect your power source.

For this repair, we will be using a Whirlpool stove.

Keep in mind ours might be a little different than what you've got at home, but the same

techniques should still apply.

So, I'm going to open this up, and show you. This is our switch right here, and when the door

closes, it pushes in on this, which turns the light off and when the door opens, the

light should come on.

In order to replace it, we're going to leave the door slightly open here.

And now, we'll lift up on our oven's cook top, and you're going to want to make sure

that both of these bars stay into place, so they don't fall down.

It's nice and sturdy now.

And now, to remove these screws, we'll be using a Phillip's head screwdriver.

Just going to use a short one because when we get back here, can't really use a longer

one to get those out.

And, we'll just unscrew this here, so as you can see here, this short stubby screwdriver

is perfect for those hard to reach places, or any place where a longer screwdriver wouldn't

be able to reach.

Now that we have all the screws off, I will lift up, on this piece

right here.

And, I'm just going to use a piece of wood to keep it up.

That way I can work on this piece over here.

So, here is the switch on this side, you can see it's got two wires going into it.

So, we're going to remove those wires now, and just pull them straight out.

And, we're just going to hang them off on the sides so that that doesn't fall down and

get lost in our insulation there, and now if you take a look, on the sides of this switch,

there are a couple of spots where you can pinch it in, and you can pinch those bottom

spots in, and then push the switch forward, and it'll pop out.

There we go.

Now, you can grab up your new OEM replacement switch, if you don't have one already you

can find one on our online store.

So now, to put this back in, all you're going to do is find the hole and stick it in, and

push it in until it snaps in place.

Okay, and now we'll grab those two wires we unplugged earlier, and we'll put those in.

And now, we'll lift up this piece, and take out that block of wood, and then set it down.

Now, just make sure your panel is lying up, with the screw holes, and you can out those

screws back in.

And now, I'm just going to close up the oven door here, get that out of our way.

Now, what we're going to do is we're going to lift up on the cook top, which will loosen

up those rods, we can push them back in, and lower the cook top.

And, now the cook top's closed, you can plug your stove back in, and your repair is complete.

Finally, don't forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances, you can find an OEM replacement

part on our website: PCApplianceRepair.com.

What is Remarketing? - Duration: 3:50.

Hello & welcome to another Learn With AM Marketing, I'm Bradley McManus, Digital Director here.

I'm gonna talk to you about remarketing. Now hopefully you've come here from Amy's

video about Display Marketing, if you haven't I really encourage you to go

watch that first, you can click here, then come back to me I'll talk about the details.

So remarketing is often called retargeting. It's a highly specific form of online advertising where you can

be very specific about what you serve people based and their previous

interactions with your website. Now we've all been there before,

for me I might go and look at a pair of trainers, and then what seems to happen

is that that pair of trainers follow me everywhere on the Internet. That's an example

of Remarketing. Now dependant on how you set up your Remarketing it can be very, very

subtle to the point where people don't even realise it's Remarketing, or you can be

so aggressive that that pair of trainers will not leave you alone no matter where

you go. The idea behind Remarketing is always the same.

If you have experienced a brand on more than one occasion you're more

likely to take action, purchase or call them. We can talk from personal experience

that when we have run Remarketing on behalf of our clients, it has dramatically

increased their conversion and improved their return on investment.

It's not quite as complicated as you might imagine to set up. All you need

is a little piece of code, put it on your website and you'll hear us call it

a Tag or a Pixel. Once the tags in place the next bit is relatively

straightforward. When somebody comes to your website, we will drop a little cookie on

them and they will go into one of your Remarketing lists. Once these lists are setup, you then have the

basis to start Remarketing. The lists can be specific or they can be vague.

You can make a list of everybody that has been to your website and you can pick an

individual page that people have visited. One of the most common things that we do

as a marketing agency is we look at the people that tried to purchase but didn't

quite get there for some reason. If you're a retail site we'll often call these people

an Abandoned Checkout & what we may choose to do is everybody that qualifies

into this remarketing list, we might offer them a small discount utilising

and Display Banner on another website. If you'd like to learn more about Display Banners

and what that even means, then I recommend you go and check out Amy's video

again because she get into a bit more detail about what Display is.

Now let's just say you're an online jewellery shop. You may decide to set up a few lists.

One for everyone that's been to your website. Two, people looking at rings.

Three, people looking at bracelets, and so on. Now if you know somebody was

looking at a multitude of rings on your website, wouldn't it make a lot more

sense to only advertise rings for that person again? This forms the basis of

remarketing strategy and we will target that person with either the rings that

they've been looking at, other rings that are available, or perhaps an

offer that is particularly relevant. By doing this, not only are we controlling who your

adverts go out to, we are more than likely saving you money on ad investment

by only targeting people who are interested. But as we mentioned earlier

it's very likely to improve your conversion rate and the return on

investment you achieve. That's just one example of how we use remarketing.

Believe me there are thousands, I could talk about it all day to be honest.

I'd really like tell you about how we manage assisted conversion funnels to really

influence who we target and where, but I'll leave that for another day.

Now we really do enjoy making these videos and if you'd like to know about anything specific

wether it's to do with Google, Facebook, online, YouTube, video or anything else entirely

do let us know because we always read your comments and we look forward to

making our next video. And if you told us what to do it's probably gonna be more

relevant. Don't forget to follow us on our various channels on the internet

If we choose the "New Audio Editor" option a new empty audio editor window will start.

Finally, you can access the audio editor via the VA-Beast PCM setup.

On the VA-Beast Synthesizer view, press PCM setup.

This setting option is only visible if the loaded preset is a PCM based preset.

Now either long press SMP, or simply press "sample menu".

Then the new options menu that opens you can choose again

two options that will take us to the Audio Editor.

The first is the "Record Sample from Microphone" option

Short click (playback stopped): Start Playback!

Short click (with playback running): Restart Playback!

Short click (with recording paused): Start Recording!

Long click: Loop Playback ON or OFF!

Undo/Redo:

The audio editor provides unlimited undo/redo steps for all editing audio processing operations.

Press record to activate the microphone.

The recorder remains in poor state so that you can tune the input level before you start the actual recording.

Press play to start the recording.

Likewise he could always press record for the second time.

Finally press stop to end the recording.

Change the recording format:

Long press record to show the recording format dialog.

Set the recording format and confirm with OK.

The following chapters explain the different elements of the waveform editor.

Main waveform:

The main Waveform always shows the complete sample.

It is used for rough selections and gives you an overview about what the sample is.

Selection Markers:

The Selection Markers are used to select a particular range of a Sample.

All Edit and Audio Processing operations are always executed on the selected sample range.

Move the Selection Markers by touching the blue and red thumbs.

The Detail Waveform to the right reflects the currently selected (the last touched) Marker.

To cycle through the Markers without changing their position, simply double tap the Detail Waveform.

Please also take note that if you move the Selection Markers in the main Waveform,

they will always snap to the next Zero-Crossing.

The Start Marker scans to the left,

the End Marker to the right.

You can set the scan range of the Zero- Crossing Snap feature (or turn it ON/OFF)

in the Audio Editor Configuration.

Position Marker (Edit Cursor):

The Position Marker has two main functions.

It shows the current Playback Position of the Sample.

And it's your Edit Cursor which determines the position where copied sample data gets pasted

as part of all Copy/Paste operations.

Move the Position Marker by touching the grey thumb in the center.

Sample info:

The Sample Info shows all relevant details of the loaded sample

or the recording format if no sample is loaded.

Status line:

The Status Line shows the sample position of the Start/End Marker

and the selected range in samples and milliseconds.

Detail waveform:

The Detail Waveform shows ~5ms of the Sample around the currently selected (the last touched) Marker.

It is used to fine tune the position of the currently selected (the last touched) Marker.

To switch the Detail Waveform to another Marker, simply touch its thumb in the Main Waveform.

To cycle through the Markers without changing their position, simply double tap the Detail Waveform.

To fine tune the selected Marker position, touch and swipe the Detail Waveform.

It is important to remember that all Edit Operations are always executed on the selected sample range.

Cut: Copy the Selection to the Clipboard and delete it from the Sample afterwards.

Copy: Copy the Selection to the Clipboard.

Paste Insert: Paste the Clipboard content at the Edit Cursor position.

The pasted Sample data will be inserted.

Paste Mix: (Best for Quality)

Paste the Clipboard content at the Edit Cursor position.

The pasted content will be mixed with the existing Sample data

using the mixing algorithm for best quality.

Paste Mix: (Best for Loudness)

Paste the Clipboard content at the Edit Cursor position.

The pasted content will be mixed with the existing Sample data.

Use the mixing algorithm for max Loudness.

Paste Overwrite: Paste the Clipboard content at the Edit Cursor position.

The pasted content will overwrite/replace the existing Sample data.

Crop: Trim the Sample to the current Selection. Deletes everything outside the Selection.

Delete: Deletes the selected Sample data.

Smooth Delete: (2 variations)

Delete the selected Sample data and x-fade at the edges.

You can change the x-fade times in the Audio Editor Configuration.

Mute: Mute (silence out) the selected Sample data.

Swap Stereo Channels: Swaps the selected Sample data of the left and right Stereo Channel.

It's important to remember that all Audio Processing Operations

are always executed on the selected sample range.

Level +/- 1dB: Raise/Lower the Level of the Selection by 1dB

Level +/- 3dB: Raise/Lower the Level of the Selection by 3dB

Fade-In:

Create a linear Fade-In over the selected duration,

starting from silence and ramping up to the original level.

For exponential Fade-Ins, repeat the operation while keeping the same Selection.

Fade-Out:

Create a linear Fade-Out over the selected duration,

starting from original level and ramping down to silence to silence.

For exponential Fade-Outs, repeat the operation while keeping the same Selection.

Normalize Level: (linked)

Normalize the Level of the Selection to -0dB (max possible Level without clipping).

The channels are linked, the relation between the left and right Stereo Channel will not be touched.

Normalize Level: (per Channel)

Normalize the Level of the Selection (each Stereo Channel independently)

to -0dB (max possible Level without clipping).

Connect: Connect (interpolate linearly) the Start and End Sample of the Selection.

Use this operation to fix unwanted clicks/pops in a Sample.

Reverse: Reverse the selected Sample data.

Remove DC Offset: Remove the DC Offset from the selected Sample data.

Analyses the Selection and shifts the data in the vertical direction,

so that the resulting Sample data has equal power on each side of the zero line.

Invert Phase: Invert the Phase of the selected Sample data (turns the Waveform upside down).

All Audio Processing Operations are always executed on the selected sample range.

Noise Gate: (2 variations)

The Noise Gate works like a regular Gate (as known from the Effects).

It analyses the Selection and silences out any Sample data that falls below the defined threshold in dB.

The Attack and Release time is fixed at 5ms.

You can change the threshold values in the Audio Editor Configuration.

Pitch Shift: The Pitch Shift operation changes the pitch of the selected Sample data

without changing the playback speed / duration.

It works like all other Pitch Shifters in G-Stomper, but with a higher quality and a much higher pitch shift range.

Pitch range = 12.5% - 800% (+/- 36 semi tones = +/- 3 octaves)

When you start the Pitch Shift operation, you'll be prompted to choose the pitch value.

To get smooth transitions between the processed sample range (the selection)

and the sample data outside the selected range, the edges are x-faded.

Time Compress/Expand:

The Time Compress/Expand operation changes the Time/Duration (or in other words the playback speed)

of the selected Sample data without changing the pitch.

Time Compress/Expand range: 12.5% - 800% (Playback Speed: 800% - 12.5%)

When you start the Time Compress/Expand operation, you'll be prompted to choose the Time/Duration value.

To get smooth transitions between the processed sample range (the selection)

and the sample data outside the selected range, the edges are x-faded.

Really hope you've enjoyed listening to us and we'll see you again shortly.
