Youtube daily Feb 20 2018

It's the 20th February and it's the YouTube

monetization deadline. And you've not met

it. What does that mean for your channel?

Hello folks welcome back to vidIQ, my

name is Rob. If this is your first time

here we are the youtube tool and

channel that aims to help you get more

views in less time. Our tool is of course

free to download, a link is in the

description and while you're at it

subscribe to our channel and click on

the notification bell to make sure you

don't miss any of our content. Let's kick

this video off with a question. If you

haven't met the YouTube Partner Program

as of today how are you feeling about it

all? I'm going read those comments and

try and give you some advice. To put all

this into context the YouTube Partner

Program changed at the beginning of

January. New requirements are but if you

don't have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000

hours of watch time your content won't

be eligible for monetization. We've got

loads of videos on the subject so check

them out if you want to know more

information about it. February

20th was a kind of grace period for any

video creators that were currently

monetized but then we're going to get

removed from monetization because of

these new requirements and here we are.

If you are affected by these changes you

should have received an email by YouTube

now stating exactly what's going to

happen. If you want to know when you're

going to reach the new requirements

again we of course do have a free tool

at vidIQ which shows you the progress

to four thousand hours of watch time and

1000 subscribers through our

real-time stats bar so if you don't have

vidIQ now's a great opportunity to

download it. It is free for this

particular tool. As well as losing

monetization on your channel there has

been a lot of concern about what other

tools you might lose from YouTube

such as live streaming, video cards,

custom URLs. We've already done a very

quick video on this particular topic so

if you want to check that out right now

click here. If you have been

earning revenue from monetization here

are some of the basics. Up until now you

will have been earning revenue into your

adsense account. Adsense accounts usually

payout at $100 month by month but for a

lot of smaller YouTube creators such

as yourself chances are you've

probably not hit that threshold yet so

your money, maybe 40 60 80 dollars, is

currently stuck in that Adsense account

and it's gonna get stuck there for a

while longer if you're no longer monetised.

Now in recent weeks I've seen a lot

of youtubers really worried about this

money being stuck in their adsense

account then maybe YouTube's going to

claw it back because you personally

can't get hold of it.

That's not the case. If you do want to

get access to this money right now what

you can do is close your adsense account

and Adsense will send out a check to you.

But I really recommend against doing

that. You're closing the adsense account

which gives you all sorts of

opportunities and revenue in the future

so are you really gonna aim for a very

short term gain and miss out on a long

term lucrative opportunity if you do

start to become successful with your

YouTube channel in the future. If you're

not earning your revenue through Adsense

and it comes through a multi-channel

networks such as fullscreen or scale

labs then obviously you'll need to

contact your respective multi-channel

network for more information. Now to all

of you small channel video creators

who saw these requirements in January

and just thought that's not going to affect

me this is just another challenge and

I'm going to strive towards it and hit

those goal and you have done before the

deadline, massive thumbs up, big

congratulations. You all deserve a big

shout out so make sure to post those

success stories in the comments below

and I'll be reading them and definitely

posting them on Twitter well done to you

guys and girls. Now if you haven't hit

those targets just yet here's some help

from us here at vidIQ. If you want to

learn how to get 1000 subscribers we've

got a 10 tips video here and if you want

to learn how to get to 4,000 hours of

watch time we've got another 10 tips

video here check them both out. Hopefully

they'll help you on your way. To

paraphrase many of the things we've

talked about here on vidIQ recently, the

goal of monetization is about this big

in the grand scheme of things. The

opportunity to spread a message you're

passionate about to a global audience

and impact lives is infinite. Let's put

this a different away: why are you watching

this video right now? Is it because we

think you're going to give us some money

for vidIQ or is it because you think

you can trust us to give you some

valuable information about growing your

channel whether it costs any money or not?

I'll let you decide that one. And of

course if you're still not happy with

the way YouTube monetize.

You have so many other ways to monetize

your content that you're in so much more

control of and have potential to earn

a lot more from. For example you have

affiliate links you have patreon or

crowdsourcing or donation platforms, you

can have paid sponsorship of your

channel, brand deals, even merchandising.

And as always you have the option to

choose an entirely different video

platform where you think you've got more

opportunity to monetize your content. So

it's a 2oth February the deadline is here

what happens next? Is this the end of

your YouTube story or just another

chapter on that road to success. If it's

the latter: enjoy the rest of your video

making day see you again soon.

How Smoking Kills Your Kidneys - Answering Your Questions! - Duration: 6:43.

How does smoking damage your kidneys?

This is a question Bill Semak asked me and Today it's all about answering your questions!

I really loved reading all your comments and I'll try to answer them best that I can.

Hello and welcome, this is Katherine from 00Kidney.

Thank you for tuning in and don't forget to subscribe if you still haven't!

In this vlog, I'll try to answer all your questions and shed some light on the subject

of kidney health.

So, Bill Semak asked this: How does smoking relate to kidney health?

Interesting question.

While everybody immediately understand how smoking can damage your lungs or your throat,

it's harder to grasp how smoking does damage an organ like the kidneys.

Several studies on the subject are proving that smoking is the biggest preventable cause

of death in the world, and it does not just damage your lungs.

It can slow down the blood flow to several organs, including the kidneys, causing both

short and long term damages.

It also interacts with the prescription drugs used to treat high blood pressure and increases

the risk of heart problems.

All this can worsen or even cause kidney problems.

The one bit of good news is that people who quit smoking have been observed to have fewer

kidney abnormalities than current smokers.

And this is just one more reason to quit smoking.

A comment from William Penrose: Great video I don't drink much water at all

because it doesn't have any electrolytes, and my salt levels are low so I don't get

the water to bind and stay in my system.

2 years ago I started drinking 2 gallons of water a DAY and still continued to have kidney

failure, I started drinking Pedialyte PEDIALAIT and

my kidneys literally started getting much better, and are back to normal again (thank

God).

Some of the supplements I take create creatinine as a byproduct and I'd like to combat this

before it becomes a problem.

Do you feel me staying on Pedialyte will help keep my creatinine levels down?

Thank you SO much for reading all of my post and answering my questions

And great job on getting your kidney function back, that's awesome and a blessing!

I'm really glad you recovered, but I think the last part of your comment was for Michael

Wright and his recovery from Chronic Kidney Disease.

And I don't think Pedialyte is what made your kidneys recover or that it would be helpful,

at all.

Pedialyte contains a lot of potassium which may not be a big problem if you're healthy,

but it is really dangerous for a kidney patient.

What I would recommend instead is drinking more water.

You don't really need all those electrolytes, despite what television and ads are trying

to tell people.

What your body really need is water, a lot of water, up to eight glasses a day.

Thomas Moore asked: how can you possibly suggest that red meat is healthy at all?

There are countless studies showing that animal protein is bad for the kidneys.

Moderation is not a good advice.

Thank you for your input, Thomas.

This is a topic I really care a lot about, since I'm an animal lover.

There is a large amount of studies on the subject and for every study condemning the

consumption of red meat there are another two or three showing that red meat is healthy

if eaten in moderation.

Given the nature of some of these studies, involving large quantities of test subjects

for many years, there's a great chance we'll never have an ultimate answer.

And, sometimes, this or that result can be exaggerated by bold titles of the press to

get more audience.

What we are certain is that processed meat is unhealthy and that eating too much of any

kind of meat is unhealthy.

My suggestion is try not to get caught in the psychological terrorism of the press.

Kidney patients need to eat very few proteins, and these proteins have to be high quality.

Unprocessed red meat, eaten in moderation, is maybe the best source of high quality proteins.

Our subscriber Mr. World Bang asked: my back hurts on one side, what do I do?

When you're concerned about your health, Mr. World Bang, you should seek immediate medical

care from a professional in your area.

In some cases back pain is just muscular pain or skeletal pain, but there's a chance of

kidney stones or kidney damage.

Usually, you can tell if it's muscle pain when it's located in the lower back.

It could be caused by common back injuries.

If the problem arises from the kidneys, the pain is in a deeper location in the body and

in a higher position.

This is all for today.

Stay healthy and don't forget to like and subscribe!

Stay tuned for more videos And thanks for all the great support we are receiving!

A Saudi Official's Rare Reflection on Extremism's Roots | "Bitter Rivals" | FRONTLINE - Duration: 3:16.

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia

had decreed the war a jihad, and

encouraged thousands of Saudis

to become holy warriors.

One of the first to go to

Pakistan and join the Afghan

cause was this man.

>> When bin Laden came to

Pakistan, his first job, which

was given to him by the C.I.A.

and Pakistani intelligence, was

actually to create ammunition

dumps and arms dumps on the

Pakistan-Afghan border but just

inside Afghanistan.

And he dug out these caves,

which eventually became, of

course, the famous caves of Tora

Bora, where he escaped to after

the Americans bombed him and

invaded Afghanistan.

>> The last major convoy of

Soviet troops from Kabul has

crossed the border from

Afghanistan into the Soviet

Union on its way home.

The last Soviet soldiers...

>> SMITH: By 1989, after ten

years of fighting, the

mujahedeen had succeeded.

>> 13,000 Soviet soldiers

killed and the Afghan

guerrillas stronger today than

when it all started.

>> The moment the war ended, the

Americans handed over Afghan

policy to the Pakistanis and the

Saudis, and literally told them,

I mean, "We're out of here now.

You do what you will.

You do what you want."

And what we had then was

Pakistani-Saudi joint support

for bringing in extremist Afghan

mujahedeen into power.

And, of course, everything stems

from there.

If you see the growth of Al

Qaeda and the acts of terrorism

against the West, it all stems

from this original cardinal sin

whereby jihad is elevated, and

is then supported at the global

level by everyone.

>> SMITH: Many of the jihadists

trained for the Afghan war would

mature into the jihadists of Al

Qaeda and ISIS, encouraged by

Saudi Wahhabi teachings.

Why was it that this extremism

came from your schools and from

your mosques?

>> It was the provocation of the

Iranian revolution created a

reaction in the Sunni world that

then translated into extremism

and violence on our streets.

>> SMITH: So you blame the

Iranians?

>> In part, yes.

And in part I blame ourselves

also, in hindsight.

Because are there things that we

could have done?

Probably.

But at the time that... that

this was all... that all these

forces were being unleashed, you

deal with them at the time.

30 years later, you can go back

and say, "Could things have been

done differently?"

Of course.

>> SMITH: That's an important

reflection on your part, I

think.

I think a lot of Americans feel

that they never hear that from

the Saudis.

>> But that's the reality.

That's the nature of life.

You learn as you go.

How to Make a Black Panther Costume Helmet - Duration: 10:16.

Hey Cosplayers!

Welcome to the Cosplay Apprentice where we empower you to Forge your Favorite Fandoms

in Reality!

For the last 3 yrs I have been teaching Cosplay techniques online and at live events, helping

people make their dreams a reality with easy to follow tutorials, and simple diy templates.

I'm Skyler Ostler and in today's Apprenticeship I'll be teaching YOU how to make Black Panthers

Helmet Using EVA foam and some binder dividers.

Stay Tuned!

So you want to know how to make Black Panther's Helmet for your next Cosplay but you are unsure

where to begin or if you even have the skills to do it yourself.

Maybe you've thought about buying it, but everything you've found is either super expensive,

or doesn't have the spot-on look you are hoping for.

Well, if that's you then you've come to the right place, let's jump in and I'll show you

how using a pattern or template you can forge your fandom in 5 easy steps without being

a professional artist or breaking the bank.

Ready, Set...

F.O.R.G.E!

Step 1: Find Your Framework Begin by finding a great template from someone

that you trust and have seen the final product to make sure it produces the end result you

are going for!!

For this tutorial I will be using a template I created and have available on my website

but there are lots of great template makers out there!

Templates are awesome because it saves you tons of time in trying to get all the proportions

and complicated artistic design elements all figured out, but still gives you that sense

of accomplishment because you are the one who made it, and the end product is generally

guaranteed to look great!

Step 2: Organize Alright, so with your framework selected now

it's time to jump into the build and start organizing.

Generally templates like this one will print to scale on 8.5x11 pages making it super easy

print out at home.

If any items run between two pages you may need to tape a couple pieces of the template

pages together but once you have that done you are ready to cut the pieces out making

sure to cut out any registration marks on it as well.

This is where the real organizing begins!

Good templates should be clearly labeled with some sort of sequential system that tells

you the order of use.

With this one, the pieces are alphabetical so I am laying them all out in order of use

on the table.

Trace all the pieces onto your material, in this case I am using Foam, and make sure to

transfer the same numbers, letters, and registration marks on the template pieces over to your

traced pieces as well.

Some pieces may need to be traced more than once and some symmetrical duplicates will

require flipping the template piece over to trace it for the other side.

After you have finished tracing you will cut out all the pieces and once again organize

them according to your template.

Some templates like mine will tell you whether a given edge should be cut straight, or at

a beveled angles, on my template this is denoted by color.

Make sure that you are cutting everything at the right angle so you don't run into problems

later.

Step 3: Revisit Now that you are super organized we need to

to review the template instructions and revisit any of the details to individual pieces that

may need to be made before assembly.

In this instance we need to make sure to transfer all the detail marks onto the foam, I did

that by cutting along all of the detail lines on the template pieces with an exacto knife

and then placing the template onto the foam and then running a pen along all those detail

cut lines in order to transfer them onto the foam.

At this stage you can also take advantage of the the fact that all the pieces are still

flat and actually score or burn in all the details now, make sure to remember that the

thickness of the lines on the template give you an idea as to how thick you should make

the details, use a sharp razor blade and heat for the thin details the deeper you score

the foam the thicker the line will be after heating.

And for the really thick detail lines you can use a wood burner tool and burn the lines

in.

I also recommend you do your under cuts now as well while it is flat.

The under cuts are labeled on my template using a dashed line and tells you what angles

to cut each side as well., You can wait to do all that after you have assembled it but

it may be a bit more difficult to do.

Step 4: Glue/Assemble Alrighty Peeps, it's time to get our glue

on!

Depending on what type of glue you are using make sure to wear the proper recommended safety

gear for the product.

We will be putting these together using contact cement.

Go through in the order the template has set up and assemble the pieces together, glue

together the darts and then piece "B" and attach piece "C", the registration marks are

critical to follow in this instance to make sure the right shape is being formed.

Assemble the left half and the right half separately.

Next connect the "A" piece to the left half of the B&C Combination followed by the right

half BC combo. and connect the left and right half together.

Starting on the left side of helmet, attach the "M" Jaw piece to the front face piece

"B".

Then connect earpiece "P" to the "A" piece where it says to connect to ear.

Then stick together the other half of the ear, piece "Q" to the "P" piece making sure

to wrap the edge piece around..

Attach the "T" piece to "Q" and "M" with an offset indentation and the connecting portions

of "Q" that attach to the "M" piece on the jaw.

Repeat that process on the right half of the helmet

Next, we will assemble the back half of the helmet.

Glue together the darts of both "I" pieces and then attach the two "I" pieces together.

Who knew that black panther had I's in the back of his head?

;) Get it?

I's, cause it's "I" pieces on the back of the....

So...

Anyway, that should complete the base assembly of the helmet!

Only one step left!!!

Step 5: Embelish You got it! last step!

Embelish!!

In this step we will add any details and secondary level accents that need to be added as well

as give it a SWEET Paint job!!

For making Black Panther's Helmet we are going to start by adding on all the additional detail

pieces from the template and end with adding some lights to make this puppy glow!

Well, it's black panther so it is probably more like make this kitty glow?

I guess.

Anyway, start in the back of the helmet by attaching pieces K,L, and J into their respective

places on the "I" piece as shown by the grey outlines on the template.

Next, do the same with the N and O pieces onto the "M" jaw piece.

Then on the face area attach H along the edge that runs along the seam line of "B" along

the cheek.

G will attach on the Chin, The "F" piece you will want to heat and add some curve to it

before placing it under the nose.

Lastly the "D" piece do the same as on F in that you should add some curve into it and

then place it above the eye and slightly along the cheek.

Trace the outline of R&S for both left and right sides onto 6mm foam and cut it out with

about a half inch buffer all around.

Line it up with the registration marks and glue them in place under the main foam layer,

this should give us some wiggle room to get the lights and stuff in.

You are doing AWESOME and the black panther mask is really starting to come together!!

Now, you can stop here and just add the detailed R and S pieces and be done.

Or you can keep going and follow along to add some lights to make it glow.

I am using battery powered LED lights some blue and red tinted plastic binder dividers,

and some craft foam to get the effect I am going for.

We will be lighting up piece "R" and "S" dig a channel along the center of each that you

can run the LED along and will later glue it on the inside of the helmet.

String the LED through so it passes through all pieces.

Cut all "R" and "S" outlines out of inexpensive red and blue binder dividers.

Also, Trace and cut "R" & "S" out of craft foam cutting out all of the black detail pieces

You will end up gluing the R&S craft foam pieces to the matching color plastic pieces

after the craft foam ones have been painted.

Then you will hot glue in place after mask and R&S pieces have been painted.

Test the lights all throughout the process as you solder pieces together and dry fit

them in the helmet.

Remove LED's for now and place them in after painting.

It's Looking super Legit!!!

Alright last thing is to attach the back half of the helmet to front.

We are going to do that with magnets along the edges.

That way the back can hing open to get your head in and out.

With that you have yourself a super legit looking Black Panther Helmet!

You can add weathering if you would like but because his suit is made out of Vibranium

I don't think it will have much damage on it ;)

Now give this thing a sweet paint job using Plastidip to coat the foam, Matte Black on

most the helmet except for pieces R and S which will be coated with a gloss black.

Paint the silver accents with a silver paint pen and this Helmet will be ready for you

to rock one of the Coolest Cosplays ever!.

Et Voila C'est Fini!

So, you wanted to know how to make Black Panther's Helmet and in five simple steps I've shown

you how using a template or pattern you can quickly, easily, and inexpensively forge your

fandom in reality!

What's goodie, everyone? It's your girl, Khadi Don.

You are watching History By Us —

Black History told by those making it.

♫ music ♫

Entertainer Aida Overton Walker

refused to sacrifice her artistic integrity.

She's a boss chick.

♫ music ♫

It's the early 1900s, and she's already a Vaudeville sensation

when a famous producer approached her

to be on a show on Broadway.

[IMITATING ACCENT] "Ah, see. Want to be on my show? See.

It's going to be a humdinger."

He wants her to perform "Salome's Dance,"

which was a very risqué dance at the time.

Oh, oh wow. I can't do that on camera. Uh-uh.

So, Aida's like, [IMITATING ACCENT] "I'll do 'Salome's Dance.'

But I'm doing it my own way."

At a time when Black female performers were often fetishized,

Aida came to the conclusion

that her dance would be modest and graceful.

So the show is a huge hit and a critical success,

but most importantly, Aida Overton Walker defies stereotypes

and in the process changes the game for Black performers.

Thank you, Aida.

105-Year-Old Doctor Offers Life Advice On How To Live Longer And Be Happy Every Day!

They say that with age comes knowledge.

A lifetime of trial and error, meaningful experiences, and lessons learned, gives people

a much deeper perspective of the world that younger generations tend to lack.

Life, like anything, needs practice.

That is something that this 105-year-old Japanese doctor vouched for in his life.

His goal before his death was to show you what he learned so that you can learn how

to live longer and be happy.

This Man Lived To Be 105 And Has Worked The Whole Time

Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara was born in 1911, at a time when the average Japanese person was

unlikely to live past the age of 40.

Because of this, he never missed a chance to defy the odds and live his long life fully.

This was a man who was working at St. Luke's Hospital in Tokyo since 1941.

A man who also had the foresight to install oxygen tubes throughout the hospital, which

saved the lives of hundreds after the cult Aum Shinrikyo used poison gas to attack trains

in Tokyo, killing 13 people and injuring thousands.

This men administered to victims in the firebombing of Tokyo during WW2 and was a passenger on

the Japan Airlines aircraft that was hijacked by Japanese Red Army Members in 1970.

"I spend the next four days handcuffed to my seat in 40-degree heat.

As a doctor, I looked at all of it as an experiment and was impressed at how the body slowed down

in a crisis," Hinohara said of his experience as a captive.

Before you make the mistake of believing that his only area of expertise was medicine, you

should know about the 150 books he released since his 75th birthday, including "Living

Long, Living Good" which sold more than 1.2 million copies.

He wrote a musical for children when he was 88-years-old which first ran in Japan and

after that relocated to Broadway in 2010.

Up until his death at age 105, he was still taking patients and kept a date book with

space for 5 more years of appointments.

With many, many experiences under his belt, Hinohara had several things to say about how

to live life to the fullest, and his greatest wish was to share them with the world.
