Hey everybody I'm painting the windows here at home because we're preparing for sale.

Painting this particular window sash ...I use a chisel to clean up old paint.

It's nice and sharp and easily deals with old flaky paint.

What I've found on this particular sash is all this dry rot.

This end is nice and firm but this other side is completely rotted out.

There is still some rot to remove so I can only see good firm original timber.

It was really bad in the corner.

So what do I do with all this?

It's almost at the point of considering throwing out the window.

From years of experience I have worked out how to repair this kind of fault.

This had probably happened over winter with condensation.

Slowing over time this has rotted out the sash.

Now though in summer the sash is dry, so let's discover the process to transform it back.

To fill the timber I use Builders Bog.

That is a real name, not something that builders get up to when they go on a break.

It's all about filling timber.

The timber has to be bare and firm like it is now with the rot being removed.

The bog needs the raw timber to adhere to.

It's a two part mix.

A small amount of additive is mixed with the main part.

Mix it on a trowel.

I'll show you how to mix it soon.

Before I do that I'll show you how I make up a straight edge.

We need this to make a straight line that continues where the original timber was.

Clamping the timber on the sash will give me that straight line.

However, the builders bog will also stick to this timber straight edge so I need to use masking tape to keep them seperate.

Cover the timber with the masking tape only on the sections that will contact with the bog.

Using a clamp I fix the straight edge to the sash.

You can see the gap and corner to be filled.

The mixing will be done several times.

At first enough to do a rough fill.

Add a little additive...about that much.

Mix it quickly because the drying time is only a few minutes.

Push the bog in as far as it will go.

Make sure it contacts well with the timber.

Layer more bog on top.

Mix the bog thoroughly.

You can see how hard it is already.

Because the bog goes off so quickly you have to keep the tools clean.

Have a decent scraper on hand to do the cleaning.

Let that settle for a few minutes.

Remove the straight edge and hopefully it is free of the bog.

Look at that...more bog is needed to finish it but we have a nice line to work with.

Now for the trusty blade to clean things up.

Remove some of the excess before the bog gets too hard.

The blade is ideal for this part of the job.

Mix up more bog for the last parts.

This time I'll use the trowel as a straight edge to finish things.

Sit the trowel on the sash and fill from underneath.

The last stroke is done with both trowels moving together.

Using the front edge of the bog I can fill the remaining parts.

Using the blade again I remove the excess.

Sand the bog to give a final smooth finish.

I use coarse sandpaper for this.

A bevelled edge block keeps the sandpaper off the glass.

Brush off.

This looks so good especially when compared to how it looked originally.

Lastly I use pre-mixed plasterers top coat to give a really nice smooth finish.

My job here is looking better that the original timber!

Angle the scraper to move the plaster to the position you want.

Leave that for a few hours or when dry, ready for a final sand.

Use the same sand paper to clean up the plaster.

Use the paper to match the contours of the window.

Dust off again.

It looks brand new!

That's it!

Ready to paint.

Remember...to remove all the decayed wood before starting.

Be innovative in the tools you use in getting a straight line.

Dangerous to clash with South Korea over trade amid North Korea crisis: WP - Duration: 2:46.

U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has suggested it's insulting to pick a trade fight with

South Korea while North Korea is building up its nuclear arsenal.

In an editorial,... the Washington Post reported Ross' proposal says 'good relations with allies

like Seoul and Tokyo are especially crucial to U.S.-led efforts' aimed at countering the

regime's nuclear and missile ambitions.

Ross said that trade restrictions, as proposed cures, are "likely to be worse than any disease,"

claiming tariffs and quotas generally prove counterproductive.

The Trump administration recently called for new tariffs and quotas

to protect

U.S. steelmakers.

Trump's 'America First' effect behind GM's decision to shut local plant? - Duration: 3:48.

Back to the current crisis unfolding in South Korea over General Motors' decision to shut

one of its production lines in the country.

With thousands of local jobs on the line,... top economic officials from the Korean government

are meeting behind closed doors this afternoon with GM representatives.

Before we take a closer look at the situation with an expert,... here's Shin Se-min with

more on the possible trend of big American companies moving back to the U.S. to stay

on the Trump administration's good side.

It's known as the birthplace of the compact Chevy Cruze and the Orlando SUV.

GM arrived in Gunsan, a small seaside town on Korea's western coast, more than 20 years

ago,… bringing with it jobs and a fresh lease of life.

But today,...

General Motor's Gunsan plant is at the brink of closure,... following the U.S. automaker's

bombshell announcement that eye-watering losses were forcing it to turn the lights off.

Just how bad is it?

In the last three years since 2014,...

GM Korea posted net losses of one-point-eight billion U.S. dollars,... while only operating

at 20 percent of capacity.

Explaining its decision, GM pointed to mushrooming manufacturing costs linked to rising wages,

aggressive labor union activity and the depressed local sales.

"GM's decision to shut its loss-making unit in Gunsan, which employs some 2,000 workers,

could just be the first taste of what's to come.

The president of GM International has given another ominous deadline,.. saying the company

will make "some important decisions on next steps" by the end of February."

One of those steps,... offering a two-point-two billion dollar debt-for-equity swap,.. in

return for financial support from the Korean government.

Close consultations between the government and the automaker are taking place,.. with

officials from the finance ministry also scheduled for a session on Thursday with GM representatives.

The emergence of the GM crisis comes at a crunch time for South Korea and the U.S.,…

long-time allies both economically and diplomatically.

Trade friction between the two is clear to see following the Trump administration's imposition

of hefty safeguard duties on Korean products and Washington's desire to overhaul the South

Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement.

"This clearly reflects the Trump administration's policy of bringing jobs back to America.

I think this case could influence the trade policies of the two countries,... and even

be a model for other global firms doing business in Korea."

The expert says Trump, who is targeting blue-collar workers in the mid-terms, may highlight the

situation as an example of his efforts to bring jobs back to America, jobs that he says

have been lost over years of allowing American firms to up sticks to relocate overseas.

Looking to avoid this kind of situation happening again,... experts say South Korea must get

serious about creating favorable business conditions for foreign firms.

These could include stripping back regulations and loosening the grip of the country's powerful

trade unions.

However, such moves would likely meet resistance and even if they are passed, such reforms

are unlikely to bear fruit for a number of months -- too late to help the GM workers

in Gunsan who wonder what their future holds.

We're going to talk about that today.

and I get to help you find an answer.

Angie, I just download your book on Kindle, and I would like to start my home cleaning business.

I've thought about it for a long time now.

I would say a few years back.

I am a certified caregiver but I was thinking about also cleaning homes because I like cleaning

cottages at my old job that I was there.

I used to clean rooms.

But I do have a question.

My main question is about the supplies.

Is it good to go ahead and also get organic supplies too just in case if that household

want natural cleaning?

That is my question because I was setting up my supplies now and see the things that

I need to get on my list.

Angela Brown: Okay, that's an excellent question.

Should we be using organic cleaning supplies and what are they?

All right.

There are three things that you need to know about organic cleaning supplies, and they

are number one: Yes, organic cleaning supplies are incredibly important

because of the era that we're living in.

The very first thing you need to know is it's not special anymore.

Everybody is doing it, and everybody expects it.

When you pick up new cleaning accounts, you don't have to sell yourself on,

"Oh, I do non-toxic, green-cleaning, organic cleaning supplies."

That's a given.

That's industry standard.

Everybody expects it now.

The second thing that you need to be aware of is the reason that you do it is because

organic cleaning supplies that are eco-friendly, that are earth-friendly, that are easily recyclable

and kind to the earth are kind to pets.

They are safe for babies and they are safe for the house cleaner.

If you are using non-toxic products, it is going to improve and increase the longevity

of your life span and your lungs.

The third thing that you need to know about organic, non-toxic cleaning supplies are that

they are not for all use.

They are houses that you're going to go into and the things that you're going to see inside

that house are going to be years of buildup and neglect.

You're not going to go in there with a little bit of baking soda and some vinegar and clean

that up.

You may need some strong products for the initial clean.

The non-toxic organic products that I'm talking about are not for the initial deep clean.

When you go to an initial deep clean, you may have to pull something out of your little

magic bucket that's going to get all that grime and mold and mildew away that is not

your non-toxic, green, environmentally-friendly products.

The reason being is it did not get there naturally.

It's a buildup of soap scum and a whole bunch of debris and dirt, and dust and grime and

junk that has build up and you need to come in and scoop all of that away.

Once that area is cleaned, you can maintain it with all of your organic products.

Don't beat yourself up if you have to bring something ugly out of the bucket because it's

not earth-friendly.

I have been known to use on many occasions non-earth friendly products and it's not for

every cleaning.

I might use it two or three times a year and not even in the same home.

But there are products I rarely use like I'm not a fan of bleach at all.

I mean, at all, rarely do I ever use it.

But if I use it, it's a couple of times a year on a couple of really big projects that

are not going to come clean with a little bit of water and dish soap.

Yes, yes, yes, everybody needs to be using environmentally friendly organic products,

and a lot of those are very inexpensive to create and produce and you can mix them in

the privacy of your own home.

What I recommend is that you set up a little tiny station, and for me, it's just a little

shelf and I'll put a link to the shelf in the show notes so that you can see.

There's a little shelf, it's 24 inches wide and it's about 5 feet tall.

On that shelf, it has all my little cleaning mixtures and at the end of every day, when

I do my cleaning inventory, I just mix up the products for the next day and I mix them

up in a great big gallon of jugs that I have plenty to go around where I just refill my

little spray bottles.

Super easy and the mixtures are consistent every single time, and that's the key.

If you're going to dilute concentrated products or if you're going to mix your own, you have

to follow the recipes.

You don't get to just guess and say, "Well, I'll just use about this much or I'll use

about that much," because then when you go to clean products, you're going to have streaking

and you're going to have grime and film left behind.

You must follow the recipes and I'm very specific about that.

If you follow the recipes, when you hire someone new and you train this someone new how to

do it, that is duplicable.

That person can also follow the recipe and get the same results.

But, if you're just mixing stuff randomly because you think you got it all figured out,

they're going to do the same thing and then your results are going to go to pot.

Environmentally friendly, yes.

Yes, yes, yes.

It's so much kinder for the lungs, and as a house cleaner, if you're going to be in

business for 5, 10, 15, 20 years, you want to make sure that you're taking care of yourself

because if you show up every day and your eyes are bloodshot and your nose and your

sinuses are clogged and your lungs are intoxicated with stuff that you've inhaled, you're not

going to last very long in the business.

I've known house cleaners that have gone to the emergency room because they've inhaled

chemicals that were not kind to their lungs.

If you're doing a deep initial clean and you have to bring out something really strong,

that has a strong scent like bleach, you may want to use a face mask.

I'll also put links in the show notes to the face masks so you know what I'm talking about.

I'm not talking about a great big, Center for Disease Control anthrax mask.

I'm talking about a little face mask that just goes over that prevents that from getting

inside your lungs.

All right, so having said that, it's very easy to, like I say, mix your own products

and to take stuff on your regular maintenance-cleaned that are going to be kind to the earth and

environmentally friendly.

That's my two cents for today, and until we meet again,

How To Make Glitch Transition in Kinemaster | Tutorial Glitch Effect Kinemaster Android - Duration: 7:52.

Hey guys, welcome back with me, Owen in this channel.

In this video, i'll explain how to create

Glitch Transition in Kinemaster, just like this

Ok that glitch effect

To make it, we'll need 2 clip.

2 video.

Import videos to your project

After you imported the videos to your project,

If we play the video right now, there's no effect yet.

Tap on the first video here.

Then

We tap on the three dots at the left.

Tap duplicate as layer.

After you duplicate the video, resize the video (scale-up)

Because if we duplicate it will scale down the video, ok now scale up

Make it 100% fill the screen

Ok, after that

Zoom in the time line

You see there's number 2 and 4

Ok, so we zoom in until the numbers

Until the numbers dissapear, that means we zoomed in correctly, just like this

Zoom in, until the number dissapear

Ok you see it's dissapear now, now we in the correct zoom in, this will affect the animation.

Tap on the bottom video.

Then tap animation

The "key" icon there

Tap plus there.

On screen: "+"means add keyframe "-" means delete keyframe

Then we

Tap on the part where we start the transition

If the clip shows it's 2.867

Then we subtract it by 0.500 so it will be around 2.367 (dont have to be exact, just around that number)

Add frame here (start of the transition)

*Sorry for noise hahaha

So here's the transition duration, then, between these 2 keyframe

We're gonna do random animation, just to make it glitch

So just move wherever you like, but, do it similarly like me.

Just like this

I move the clip here

Then here

then here

Then i zoom in (the clip, not timeline)

Then i

Zoom out

i can rotate the clip

just do random moves to make it glitch

To make the effect more realistic

Do this until fill the keyframe to the end of the clip.

Each keyframe have to be close to each other

So it exactly like glitch effect

Then i move it like this

After every keyframe is done, then play the preview of video

Ok that's the effect.

Ok now we need to add the glitch stock video (link in description)

Download it

Import downloaded video.

We import the video.

Duplicate the clip

After we duplicate

Now we move the bottom clip to the left

Then delete the top video

Now we can see here the glitch clip

This is the glitch we're going to use as overlay effect

Now select which part to use as overlay

i choose this part

I cut, trim to left then i move

to the left

Place the clip where before the keyframe start

Until

it covers second clip little bit

trim to right, ok now it'll be like this.

Ok now we scale up the glitch effect clip

After that,

it will be looks like this

Ok now to make it better, we're going to chroma key.

Enable the chroma key then choose the black color

Ok, now we look here

We reduce the percentage here

I make the value like this

We play the preview to see the effect

Like that

Play once more to see the effect

Because we're not render this video yet, it will be still laggy to play the video

Ok we need to render this video

After you setting the chroma key like that

Tap share icon & tap save video to gallery

Full HD

Ok we play the video

Now we can see the result
